20s | she/her| 🩷💛💙| your typical gay nerd. Occasional diary entries of me spiraling. David Tennant gets a special mention because he’s probably the most consistent part of this blog

you can discuss the problems within academia literally forever and you probably should but “historians are trying to keep information from you” is always going to be an anti-intellectual, reactionary opinion, sorry, literally no way around that

Full names and details of every man who was convicted of raping Gisèle Pelicot. The list includes 50 men who could be identified, besides Gisèle's husband, ranging in age from 27 to 74. Among them are a firefighter, a journalist, a nurse, a construction worker, and a prison guard. Most have families of their own, and only about half had previous convictions.

it’s funny to see speculation over what the Doctor’s politics are (and I’m saying this as someone who has only binge watched nuwho, so I admit I’m not the most well versed about the character), but trying to box in the Doctor into believing in, or being a vessel for any one (or even two) political ideologies is useless and reductive and impossible.
Also can anyone seriously see the Doctor identifying with any political belief system? That alien’s a walking contradiction, never going to be that consistent about anything and probably thinks themselves way above subscribing to any human political philosophy
#Genuinely think the doctor just juggles with their political beliefs just as they do with gender#stop trying to label everything. Also this is a fictional character who’s an alien#This is not about fan discourse cause that’s all well and fun#It’s mostly about media going from ‘doctor who is too political’ to ‘the doctor himself woke and lefty’#Which is actually probably true in the context they use ‘lefty’#But anyway#If anything the doctor can be described as anti-establishment (this is also not completely true)#Possibly a rare time the actors’ politics influence how we see a characters and not vice versa (as it usually is)#Sometimes my brain gets over saturated and I just say stuff#Idk what this is

next time you encounter something confusing, try using your fan fiction reading device to access websites like "wikipedia" or "miriam webster" to break down those pesky difficult topics. its sorta like a "enemies to lovers" situation, where the scary new knowledge can become your friend - and then you won't look so unflattering when you comment

I just want to remind you all that David Tennant is going to be in the film for The Thursday Murder Club, and if google is right then he’s playing Ian Ventham, a guy that pops in to be an asshole, gets his car clamped, cries about it, trips, and then fucking dies. So. Get excited people.
