I am happy to announce the impending release of the animatic webseries Unit: Creo! 

The premise: Roughly 220 years in the future, a nuclear explosion has wiped out most of earth’s life. What’s left of the population fights tooth and nail over the dwindling resources. Mina, the lead character, had been kidnapped by Wesley, the main antagonist, 2 years prior to the events of the series. She has no memories of what he did to her or how she escaped, but it left her with strange powers. In the first episode, a stressful event causes her to teleport herself, a friend, an acquaintance, and her brother to an alien planet called Seguro. The race living there all have similar powers to herself, and the series entails her trying to save the earth, her piecing together her past, finding out what Wesley’s end goal really is, and how the aliens (called umbroids) tie into all this. She’s assisted by Wesley’s rebellious robot assistant, Creo, who may not be all she seems.

I estimate the show’s release date to be anywhere from mid 2025 to early 2026. I have no idea how long it’ll take for me to make each episode, but I’m aiming at 1-3 months per. The show will be 3 seasons long; season 1 has 12 episodes, season 2 has 10 episodes, and season 3 has 11 episodes. 

I’m ultimately not aiming to make a masterpiece, I and my buds just wanna work on something that people can have fun watching. Nevertheless, pointers are always welcome.

Neither I nor this series have any affiliation to the EDM artist Creo. I gave the show its name because it’s the Spanish word for “I believe” or “I think”, alluding to the title character gradually gaining awareness and sentience. You show up to the con in the suit, camera in hand as you greet old friends and introduce new ones. Tim leaves half an hour early so you can start setting up, checking your SD card for storage and waiting around as a progressively bigger and bigger group of people dressed as Red Robin shows up. You find it hysterical. You wonder if Tim would actually pass as a cosplay if he showed up without a mask. Maybe you should've just had him do that.

"I have a surprise!" You yell, telling everyone to group in for the photo, backing up as everyone crowds in for a collective photo.

You back up until you hit someone, and you turn your head as the group starts yelling.

"Perfect timing! Do you mind taking the photo for us? Nice cosplay, by the way."

"Oh... stannie." Tim bites back the words pretty bird as he takes the camera from you.

"Stannie, really babe?"

"I'm telling your husband you're cheating on him." He snickers.

You hiss at him as you back up to get into the photo. Camera shutter clicking as he gives everyone a thumbs up to shuffle around.

"How the FUCK did you get Red Robin himself here?!"

"How much did you pay him?!"

"WHAT THE FUCK!?"

You tuck behind Red Robin as everyone swarms up to you to ask questions, others swarming around him to talk to him and ask for autographs. You look through the photos behind him, ignoring everyone asking you how you managed to have Red Robin himself in the meetup, but it's not your problem. You just told Tim to take an earlier shift. Also, you're sure Duke wouldn't complain all that much when he gets to rest early.

"Alright, duty calls." Tim checks his watch, taking a couple steps back as he reaches for his grapple.

People start to leave slowly, and you send everyone the photo as you go around.

The last day of the con, Tim goes as Thanatos, and you watch as he gets the biggest ego boost of his life when everyone goes up to take a photo with him. You're practically his photographer, laughing as Tim rolls his eyes when you stick your tongue out at him to have him smile for the photo.

"I'll break character."

"Thanatos is secretly a big softie. You'll live." You pat him on the back, stretching as Tim grumbles. His hand finds your waist naturally, resting on your bare skin as you show him the photos. He'd rather you take photos with others than photos of him. His thumb brushes your back as you him a particularly good shot, lips curled upwards.

"See? You look great as Thanatos."

"I'd look better if we got to pose for photos. Consider hiring a photographer next time?" He takes the camera from your hand, chest sticking to your back as he huffs. "You look better than me."

"Thank you, babe." You snort. "You're adorable."

"Of course." He hums, taking the camera from you as someone stops to compliment your cosplay. He shakes the camera in his hand, taking a photo as he watches the other person drop to their knees and open a ring. The gesture makes you laugh, taking a step back as Tim puts the camera down to raise a brow, and you take another step back as the guy moves forward on his knee.

"Babe." You step towards Tim, hand reaching for yours as he pulls you behind him.

"You good? We can leave early." He nods. 

"It's fine." You shake your head. "I wanna make one last run for the artist alley."

"You sure?"

You turn to check for the guy, and Tim covers your eyes as he talks to the guy, sorting the issue out. You peek his hands off, patting his back as the other guy apologizes for making you uncomfortable. The rest passes quickly, and Tim pinches your cheek as you scrunch your face.

"Better? We can head back to the alley for the rest of the day."

You nod. "I feel so bad for making you do all this for me." 

"Nonsense." He huffs. "You take care of me so much more than I do you."

"Do I?" You mumble, reaching for the camera as he rests his forehead on yours. 

"You just don't know it" He grins.

(reader)'s life was always a roller coaster.

His father belonged to one of the richest families in Camelot at the time, but since he was not the first son, he did not receive much of the prestige or inheritance that would have been his.

(reader) lived in a relatively well-off place despite everything, with her parents and siblings.

However, when (reader) was little, her mother died, which led her father to have to ask for many favors to be able to keep the house afloat on his own.

In the end she failed, and (reader) was sent to live with a distant relative in the center of Camelot, where she was supposedly better off.

One day, (reader) had left her relative's house to avoid the music classes that were scheduled for that day.

The bad thing is that since she had never been to that part of the city, she got disoriented and lost quite easily.

Now, (reader) was a sociable girl, so it was quite easy for her to make conversation with the boy and get to know him a little better.

It turns out that he was practicing how to handle the sword with his brother Kai (a bad btw), but since he got angry with him he took a break.

His father was a holy knight! (reader) didn't understand what they were, but the stories she read about knights when she was bored gave her the idea that it was something exciting.

In the end, the boy said goodbye to her and left the way he came, although at least not without giving his name.

As you may have noticed, (reader) knows Arthur in his time before he had the sword, when he was something like his father's squire.

and definitely after that he started looking for (reader) on his own when he knew where she lived.

They even began to have a rather funny dynamic in which Arthur would try to make her laugh in the last minutes of their peeking (through the windows).

and in general they were one of the few friends the other had.

But when a certain... incident... happened with (reader's) music teacher.

Arthur only arrived to see how some holy knights took him away, but he knew that for some reason (reader) he skipped that man's class...

and when he found out, well, let's just say the music man was lucky Arthur hadn't been there.

Arthur was furious! How dare that pig put his hands on (reader)?

You could say that this determined the dynamics of their friendship during the following years thanks to (reader's) love-struck nature.

While Arthur trained with Merlin and became stronger, (reader) became more popular with men for her beauty and cute personality.

Although of course, it was a double-edged sword.

There would always be someone who would be especially insistent or who didn't understand "no", but luckily Arthur could take care of that easily ;)

When Arthur takes the sword out of the stone, (reader) is the first to run towards him to congratulate him, she even gives him a small kiss on the cheek as a "reward" (Arthur is as red as a tomato at the time, he flatly denies it) .

Thanks to him being king, Arthur and (reader) can't see each other as much as before :( but they maintain communication through letters and try to see each other as much as possible.

low key, (reader) admires Merlin quite a bit at first, it's a hunch (a powerful and beautiful woman in complete control of the situation and her body, you can get the idea).

For this reason, they both talk a lot about the deadly sins and share the enthusiasm.

Now, if in the events of NNT's story (reader) she ends up meeting her "Francis" or worse yet, her Henry VIII, let's just say things are going to get... ugly.

There is no way in which Arthur will not see the giant red flags of either relationship (in a way by seeing certain parallels with the case of the music teacher), so he will be quite firm in his dislike of said relationships. especially with the Henry.

After all, what is a 50-year-old man doing near a teenager? creepy vibes.

Also influencing a little is the fact that Arthur may or may not realize that he likes her (reader), although part of him just wants to say that she is his friend! that she is very kind and pretty and that she sings and dance very well and that her talks about dog breeds is the most beautiful thing he has ever heard....

Oh no--

If we're talking about a scenario in which (reader)'s family arranged a marriage with this Henry, Arthur puts his foot down and may even use his position as king to get (reader) to break the engagement herself (which she happily does).

(Regarding Francis, they would both simply agree to ask Merlin as a favor to use illusory magic and give him the scare of his life. It's super effective).

(reader) was definitely extremely traumatized when Arthur was "killed" in the second holy war. absolutely horrified (even more so by that time they were already dating).

and when Arthur is resurrected by (the power of the script) chaos, let's just say they're both stuck with each other for quite some time...

and that translates into the current relationship they have in 4kota. which is like Katherine Howard's happy ending basically.

(reader) was obviously very marked by the holy war and definitely by Arthur's almost death, so she tends to be around him a lot of the time.

They both officially get married! (probably before Merlin left) and overall you could say that their relationship has only become more secure in several ways.

Arthur is still quite protective, but on a much more visible and understandable level, after all (reader) she is his wife, the queen of Camelot, if his enemies try to get to him, one way to do it is through her, so of course The times when (reader) decides to leave Camelot (usually on her family's funeral anniversary) she usually goes with Arthur.

Besides, it's not like Arthur is offering to spend extra time together.

(reader) developed her dancing skills over the years! apart from that he was even able to learn to play several instruments (with extra supervision of course).

Arthur is fine with (reader) not advancing in her studies, honestly it is a lot (for the time) that she knows how to write and read so well, but if she wants to help out with the paperwork aspects, he will allow it! oe will assign someone to guide you through the process until you can do it alone or, if you can, you will teach it to them.

Arthur feels very good teaching (reader) new things.

(If the reader's previous "suitors" are still on the loose or didn't die in Camelot, you can bet Arthur is going to correct that).

(reader) has a fashion sense quite inclined to French fashion, and Arthur doesn't blame her, she looks very adorable in the soft colors.

(reader) may even develop the habit of embroidery to pass the time when Arthur is away, she makes quite nice pieces (Arthur definitely shows them off to "Merlin")

(reader) is not really involved in politics due to her lack of education, and honestly Arthur is grateful that this is the case because he knows that (reader), being the empathetic being that he is, would not like to see a good part of what he does. for the sake of the eternal kingdom, but he knows it will be worth it.

Arthur and (reader) dancing together🥺 it doesn't matter if it's in sds or 4kota, I can definitely see (reader) dragging Arthur to the floor to dance together.

Arthur from sds definitely prefers to dance faster and "funner" things and vary a little from ballroom dancing (actually it's because it makes him nervous)

Arthur from 4kota is fine with whatever style (reader) chooses, but he has definitely learned to 1-improve his dance skills (thanks to reader) and 2-appreciate the closeness that ballroom dancing provides. especially in the throne room.

Either version will not tolerate any attempt to shame (reader) for her "history with other men" and will take it VERY badly.

Arthur from sds will defend (reader) tooth and nail, but if he can't reason with people, he simply applies a *little* bit of violence so they learn not to defame a pretty lady (he breaks their nose) .

with Arthur from 4kota...do I really have to say it? They will be lucky if they are whole after saying such blasphemy in front of him.

Arthur is definitely VERY determined to maintain (reader's) little remaining innocence, they've already been through so much, let them have a happy ending (even if that includes eliminating all races).

In general, no matter what past or "history" (reader) may have, Arthur loves her and sees her as her own person, let things move forward in their time, and will fight for his lady's honor.

You had a sleepover at Sam's house, the whole group deciding to hang out and stuff your faces with candy. You brought your switch, initially it was to play Stardew Valley once everyone fell asleep but once you realized Anika brought hers you ditched that idea and played Just Dance with her. Ethan and Mindy sat on the couch behind the both of you as Chad and Tara stood in the kitchen and Sam and Quinn were doing nails in Quinn's room.

So Anika picked the first song "Lover! Taylor Swift is queen" "of course" you responded, beginning to dance terribly besides Anika who made you look like a fool but you just both giggled and kept dancing. When it was your turn to pick the song you went with backstreet boys, I want it that way, I mean come on it was a classic.

As you danced terribly, Ethan bit back a smile from his seat. I mean come on, this was probably the cutest way he had ever seen you, pajama pants, hair ties up messily to stay out of your face and one of his shirts, hanging loosely off your shoulders. Usually he was neutral about you in his shirts as you usually stole them for ' their nerdy charms' as you said. Right now, it was a Star Wars shirt. And he wanted nothing more to see you wear it all the time.

He hadn't even realized how many songs had passed as he watched you jump around and laugh with Anika. But now Anika was tired and laying down beside Mindy. "Ask Ethan to play" Ethan turned to Anika, being pulled back into reality. When he turned back to see where you were standing, you were now on your knees in front of him. "Jesus" he jumped back slightly, this definitely looked provocative.

"Ethan pleaseeeee" your bottom lip jutted out in a pout, and it gets worse. "i-im terrible at dancing." You tilt your head to the right staring up at him. "Ethan pleaseeeee" his face flushed and he finally agreed. "Yay!" You jumped up, handing him a joycon and starting a song. "I love you Ethan!" He flushed, "mhm, you're just using me for a dance partner"

Ethan smiled, before realizing your song was a partner dance, somehow you had ended up wrapping around each other, just spinning and dancing. You had played a couple more songs which Mindy and Anika had disappeared to Sam's room during that time. By the time you and Ethan were done playing Just Dance you were the only two in the living room, guess this was your sleeping arrangement.

I live in Cali (between the LA and SD venues) and I might just pony up to go to both. SD is further away, but they are successfully guilting me into it LMAO

Here's the thing, though- I'm a relatively new fan (phan) and also I have social anxiety. So is it not worth doing the Meet and Greet? Should I save the spot for others who deserve it more and won't be shaky and stupid?? Or should I throw back a couple drinks for liquid courage and say phuk it?

I do want the VIP stuff and part of me does want to say hi to them, but I don't feel like I deserve it since I wasn't there from the beginning.

anxiety is a very real thing, and if you think a m&g is something you cannot handle, you know yourself enough to know. but if the only thing holding you back is 'someone else deserves it more' or 'i'll be shakey and stupid', please don't listen to that voice in your head. there's no 'deserve' as if it's something you have to earn. anyone can buy one (so long as they have the means). there's no set amount of time you've had to watch them, nor any 'behaviour' expectations (other than, yknow, don't assault them, but that's a given). it's okay if you're nervous and shakey--they're professionals, they'll take care of you. (i also know someone made a compilation of silly things dnp have said/done recently to help with the fear around 'what if i come off as stupid'.) firstly you're not stupid, but secondly, we all say/do silly/awkward/cringe/incorrect shit. it's okay. it's very hard to phase them; they've seen it all. in terms of alcohol, if that's what you need, go for it. but i wouldn't recommend getting entirely sloshed bc 1 you need to be able to get to and from the venue, and 2, you wanna remember it.

the point of this tour is to go see them. if they wanted to lock vip behind years watched, lore known, and number of posts made about them, they would have (i dont think thats like, possible though 😂). don't deprive yourself of an experience bc your brain is creating non-existent rules. no one there is gonna turn and look at you and go 'wow theyve only been here x weeks/months/days'. and if they do? fuck 'em. you're there because you enjoy their content. simple as that.

it's a celebration of dnp, so as long as you like them (or are going with someone who does) then you belong!

if it's possible, i absolutely recommend hitting both shows. the LA one is guaranteed to be wild, and if san diego happens, it'll be a smaller crowd, which is kind of an awesome vibe.

i sink in and out of myself with no warning and can either go near silent in messages or not shut tha hell up ever. This makes me mysterious but moreso annoying and difficult to work with. so what i need at this point is a boat i can take out to sea so therell at least be some good reason for it. sorry i went quiet inexplicably for multiple weeks again, i was isolated on the waves again.

did some cleaning in the living room yesterday, was going pretty alright til i bashed my bad swollen toe so hard i screeched myself hoarse. but i am trying to be happy with what i did manage to do, as the table is visible again and a lot of old mail is thrown out. i also hacked my partners old 3ds (could not find my own) which was fun- taking the sd card out of a 'new 3ds' model is so troublesome though. i dont have high hopes at this point for my plat save's survival but gotta try.

-New York and California both live laugh love Taylor swift. They would definitely sing songs to each other, like Lover, Delicate, and more.

-New York City is petrified of Los Angeles. I don’t know why, but I just think it’s funny. Like when Cal brings like his kids over, NYC just hides in a corner until they go away.

-California has 3 cats, New York has 2. Cal def has a cat name Meredith, maybe Olivia too. The other one could be named Goldie or something like that. York has a ginger one that’s named apple, and another ginger one, but he’s a kitten, named boots, for puss in boots. (I thought it was a cute name)

-the pigeons flock to New York when I’m the city, no matter where, they’ll always be near New York. They would also sit on his head, and wouldn’t move until he went inside somewhere. He has named every one, and gets sad when they die. (tears maybe)

-New York has an upside-down smile.

-he doodles all over his paper and other peoples papers too. He once doodled on Texas’ paper, making a stick figure with a cowboy hat and boots.

Tang Yun x Hall Headcanons:

(I feel like some of these are ooc/mischaracterized I'm so sorry)

They already met before either joined the Decree because their brothers hung out a lot, but they only started to know each other after becoming shadow guards

They first met when Bardon dragged Hall to one of Lucas’ shows, and while trying to find a spot to get away from the overwhelming music and yelling, Hall found Tang Yun hiding in a secluded corner, at the brink of tears and having a huge sensory overload (one day I’ll write a fanfic about it)

They both have very cheesy but cute pet names for each other:

I've already mentioned in a post that Hall calls Yun "Angel" because of the shape of his ears, but he also calls him "Min Elskede" which means "my darling" or "my beloved" in danish

And Yun calls Hall "pudding" because he likes to say that Hall is very sweet, just like pudding

Tang Yun likes to play with Hall's hair when he's bored or as a distraction to pass thr time after missions, he always does tiny braids on it

They’re both bilingual and they're teaching each other how to speak their languages(Hall speaks Danish and Tang Yun speaks Mandarin)

When they first started dating, Leon threatened to snipe Tang Yun if he ever hurt Hall's feelings and the Xie twins, especially Yuzhi, also made similar threats towards Hall  (they threatened to bury him alive if he ever fucked up)

They can't even stand next to each other without some shadow guard yelling “GET A ROOM”, it's mostly either Freddy, Jeanne or Yuzhi doing that just to annoy them

Tang Yun learned how to write in braille so he could leave little notes with loving messages scattered around Hall's apartment for him to read, Hall thinks it's really cute and he kept all the notes found so far

Hall is the only person in the SD that Yuzhi refuses to prank and if asked why, he’ll say that it's out of respect for Yun, since the two are dating (bullshit, he has seen the damage Tang Yun can do to someone who messes with Hall and he doesn't wanna risk ending up at the morgue over a prank, Yuzhi enjoy being alive with all his bones & organs intact, thank you very much!)

Tang Yun's love language is biting, no I will not elaborate

Hall learned how to make homemade chocolate pudding to surprise Yun on his birthday, or when he's having a bad week

Tang Yun is very needy and affectionate, but he's terrified of becoming annoying or a burden to Hall, so he tried his best to not be needy at all(abandonment issues does that to people, saying this from experience :D)

They crash at each other's place so often it feels like they're practically living together, they even have keys to each other's apartments:

Because of this, Hall started keeping hair products in his apartment even though he doesn't need them, they're for Yun since he comes by so often, sometimes Hall will use some of the products just because the scent is nice and reminds him of Yun

Tang Yun started keeping some of Hall's clothes and favorite action movies for a similar reason, he'll sometimes watch some movies by himself when Hall is away in a mission

The only person that can convince Hall to put on a shirt is Tang Yun and no one can change my mind

Hall started carrying noise canceling earbuds with him just in case Yun start having a sensory overload during one of their dates or in general

They're the only people in Grandis that Sander trusts enough to pet sit his cat for him, they even nicknamed the cat "Indigo"

Hall will frequently buy a random trinket and gift them to Tang Yun because it made him think of him(they're usually mini stuffed animals, mini axolotl figurines, ponpon keychains, bracelets, etc), as much as Yun thinks it's adorable and cherishes every single trinket given to him, he can't help but worry about Hall's spending habits

Tang Yun's avataras are also very affectionate to Hall, but that actually makes Yun a little jealous (this hc was inspired by "The New Guy" btw)

Hall started hanging out with the Xie twins more often because of Yun, He became their alibi whenever they did their pranks and sometimes he joins in on it as well

Tang Yun paints Hall's nails for him, they sometimes wear matching nails

My partner bought me a stream deck XL for Christmas! I've also been into recolouring and personalising my tools recently, and had a great time recolouring my other stream deck:

So what do I do when a loved one buys me an expensive gift? Vandalise it immediately in the name of 💜self expression💜

But where the smaller device has an easily removed faceplate, the XL did not. There were no screws hidden away, just a very tiny seam separating the plate from the rest of the device. It wasn't clear if it was glued down or otherwise sealed. And it seems nobody else online wanted to risk their expensive device finding out, just for the aesthetic.

But this girl *lives* for the aesthetic.

So I bring knowledge from the frontier, the faceplate is only held on by plastic clips, 4 on each long side, 3 on each short side.

The only tool I found was thin and strong enough to pry at the edges was this thing from ifixit

If you're patient and extremely careful you can lift one clip at a time. I did the bottom long side first (thinking any plastic damage would be less visible) then each short side, then the top I was able to push out.

The faceplate is plastic (unlike the regular SD which is surprisingly metal) so I'll be doing some sanding and priming work before spraying but yeah! I'm just happy I got it off and wanted to let anyone else who wanted to remove their XL faceplate cleanly know that it is possible with some patience and the right tool 💜

can you just ramble? ramble for as long as you want. as a fellow late 00s brit who's into some of the same interests as you (specifically vida the vet, charlie and lola, me too, balamory, abadas, and literally just any other cbeebies show i grew up with) i'd love to hear it!

if it's a ramble you want, a ramble you shall get. In other words here's like, my complete history with CBeebies. As a 08' kid, I was born in a weird transitional period for the channel. This was one year after they introduced the now iconic blocks of Get Set Go, Discover and Do and Big Fun Time, and Chris and Pui were going to move on from pres in 09' to work on Show Me Show Me. Postman Pat was just fresh from it's big SDS overhaul, which people either loved or hated (I think I liked it as a kid but looking back on it, it's nothing to get worked up over IMO, I just don't get why Pat can do James Bond-esque stunts now and is perfectly content riding a motorcycle.). Oh, and there was this little show about a garden of the night that began the year prior, I doubt that you've heard of it. Yeah, In the Night Garden was probably the first major CBeebies show I remember getting obsessed with, and looking back at it? I honestly don't know why. It's not a bad show at all, don't get me wrong, but I don't know why I was so obsessed over it to the point of having this dancing Igglepiggle toy as a kid.

Also, I remember loving the Hahoos as a young'un, part because a CBeebies magazine I got ages ago had little Hahoo toys. I took them on holiday to Turkey with me, yeah can you tell I'm autistic? I don't think I have them anymore, and if I do they're probably all scuffed up and missing paint. But that's okay, I can easily buy them on eBay to fill a place in 2 year old me's hear- HOW MUCH FOR 5 SMALL PIECES OF PLASTIC?

Yeah I didn't know these things were going for this much until my mum saw someone on Facebook ranting on how stupid expensive they are nowadays about a year ago. Anyways, on the topic of CBeebies' Bedtime Hour (and A Quarter nowadays), there's one elephant in the room I must discuss, the closedown screen.

This slightly green thing telling you to get some sleep absolutely terrified me as a kid though, it wasn't on the same level as the Eastenders theme's doofs and Christmas crackers if I remember correctly, but it still gave me PTSD for years on end. (Hey, at least I wasn't around for when the channel started, I really wanna meet whoever thought it was a great idea to make this screen bright blinding pink right after the goodnight song settled everyone down, just so I can tell them how dumb that idea was.)

Like all things I was spooked of as a kid, I got over it when I was getting nostalgic for the brand. Speaking of closedown screens, how is the closedown screen for the 2023 rebrand really good? Like, it would make a great screensaver without the text. You can say what you want about the new logo (which I think is fine, it fits in with the rest of the modern BBC branding so it succeeds in that aspect), but you gotta admit they did a really good job with revamping the idents for the channel.

Anyways, onto more of my favourite CBeebies shows. Charlie and Lola is easily up there as one of my favourites. It'sMy mum distinctly recalls taking me to the live stage show (which, live stage shows are a whole other can of worms I can talk about), and I couldn't remember much about it so I researched it, and it looks like they did a ridiculously good job of translating the show to a stage play while keeping the show's unique artstyle.

Balamory, obviously as a CBeebies viewer prior to 2016, I know what a Balamory is. I don't need to explain it. Though one weird memory I have is I remember going past the local barbers one day and seeing a Balamory rerun airing. I dunno why they showed CBeebies in the barbers of all places. On the other hand, Me Too!, which to me always felt like Balamory, but a wee bit worse (because that's exactly what it was!), and I don't remember my exact feelings towards it as a kid, but as a teenager, I became obsessed with it after found the Me Too! YouTube channel after I was pretty much done binge-watching Abadas. It quickly became my main comfort show, like if I'm not in the mood for anything else, just stick an episode of Me Too! on, there's like 150 episodes and I'm not sure if I've even seen over half of them. I've seen more MT! eps than Balamory though, probably cause it's more easily accessible. With Balamory, you gotta go on the internet archive for episodes of that. Abadas was one of the shows I distinctly remembered the intro for, though I misremembered it with Baby Jake of all shows (they came out around the same time). I went and revisited it one January day in 2023, around the time I was starting to put my Bubble Guppies hyperfix on the backseat as the show was about to end, and instantly fell in love with it. Really wish the production company behind the show didn't go bust as there was a lot of cool supplementary material with the show as well, they did a bunch of shorts on Vimeo which I happily recommend.

Eventually, I fell out of CBeebies around 2014 or so as, well, I was getting older and was ready to move on to more grown up shows (this is coming from the same kid who kept actively watching Nick Jr. well into his teenage years). But then I was channel surfing at my nan's around October 2019 or so and decided to stick CBeebies on for fun after deciding whatever was being shown on Challenge was too boring, I guess. Something Special was probably the show that launched me back into my CBeebies hyperfix, yea of all shows. Completely forgot the show used Makaton and as someone who was interested in sign language I went on a binge-spree to study all of Justin's signs. I became fairly competent at it. I got into Hey Duggee for a a bit as well, known as every parent's lifeline apparently. The game show episode is one of my favourites, mostly due to all the fun references they crammed into the episode. As a fan of the shows we people call game, it was a fun surprise. I also rediscovered some of my old childhood favourites that were still getting reruns. Swashbuckle was a bit too recent for me to have recalled watching it as a kid but my brother was certainly around for it and Tree Fu Tom, which was still rerunning at the time. Charlie and Lola still aired reruns, and back in 2019 I kinda just glanced at without much thought before realising a few years later that it was actually really good. Night Garden made me cry of nostalgia, and I also thought Baby Jake was the biggest feverdream ever conceived on television. I even was one of the weirdo's who listened to CBeebies Radio, though honestly there's no point in listening to it live as you can find all it's content on the Sounds app. Admittedly, I haven't gotten super into Bluey. Y'know, the most popular preschool show of this decade that didn't begin in this decade? Yeah I watched about 10-15 episodes of it, said "wow, this is one of the best preschool shows ever crafted", and then moved on to watching the same 40 Blue's Clues & You! episodes again. I'm sure if I force myself to binge watch it more I'll fall head over heels in love with it though. So if I haven't gone crazy for Bluey, what modern CBeebies shows have I gone crazy for? Funnily enough, two that released within the span of around 5 months. The Game Catchers was the first one I got into. I just kept binging episodes and instantly fell in love with it. Always thought the show's main concept was really, REALLY good. Teaching kids about outdoor games in the day and age of iPads is a really smart move. Don't really see many people in the fanbase yet unfortunately, it's certainly one my favourite CBeebies shows from the last 5 years. Also it has absolutely ruined me as any time I hear or say the phrase "so cute" I immediately have to connect it to Nina.

Vida on the other hand I pretty naturally got into. I checked it out, watched the first few episodes, and thought it was pretty good, but never intended it to become my next big hyperfixation. I was sooooooo wrong. I've always had a soft spot for shows with cute animals (Was a big LPS 2012 fan way back when) so naturally this was always destined to be a show I'd fall in love with. I also love all the characters in the show too. Pippen's my personal favourite, but Zigzag is a REALLY close second though. She's a cute bunny who canonically has ADHD. What's not to love.

Okay I think I've talked enough and I've been typing this out for like, 2 hours, I really need some sleep. I could talk about all sorts of other CBeebies shows I enjoy (LazyTown, Tish Tash, JoJo & Gran Gran, Carrie & David's Popshop's a more recent one I've binged from the days of old) but I've talked enough so yeah.

I’m probably use this blog for writing, talking about said fandoms, obsessively thinking about my ocs for each said fandom, and making very politically(/j) incorrect analysis about characters. And, more! I’m sorry this is so long, really just ask me abt anything and it’ll eventually happen.

Last thing: I might post about my own stories that are… painfully unfinished, so here’s a brief intro about each (they’re all heavily inspired by my respective fandoms, we don’t talk abt that):

*Insert Dramatic Title* (IDT): A robot by the name of Edis is asked to save humanity from a prophecy stating that, from five years from now, the world will end.

Slaughterhouse (SH): A pair of twins live in a “Haven Town” where there outside world was shrouded into an apocalypse. They learn how to truly survive in such a restrictive environment and find out the subtle corruption of their system.

‘Vest of the ‘Usual (VOU): A young boy has unusual abilities that leads him to work in the government, which depicts him having to do the unthinkable: go to school. And, do his job, that too.

Act I (A1): Olesia Lexina has had one dream all her life: protect humanity from the evil that is godlyhood! This follows her journey through the ideal of becoming on of the top members of the “Guardians of Humanity”.

Project: New World (P:NW): The government has allowed a project and organization by the name of “New World” to attempt to “purify humanity of all of its wrongdoings” and it has taken the world by storm; unfortunately, Chara has absolutely no interest in any of it.

The Eight Tragedies (T8T): An Angel has come to earth to ultimately destroy everyone on it, in which a humanities major named Reminiscence gives the world (her two friends) a chance to fix their problems before it can do so—by going into the past eight times to fix mistakes that should’ve never happened.

Majic Girl: BOOM ★ (MG:★): this one is something I’ve been meaning to get motivation to work on properly. A young freshman girl watches her whole world turn upside down (close to literally) to as some sort of eldritch horror resurfaces the earth! And she is one of the few people making the attempt to kill it.

$1 Supermarket ($1): The economy as we know it had crashed after inflation has risen way too high to the point even the upper class finds it hard to buy anything. Thus, a brand new chain store by the name of $1 Supermarket has arisen! Where everything is exactly $1! And there’s like, a bunch of monsters everywhere, but that’s besides the point.
