It was a messy divorce and now anyone who brings it up has to do the absolute worst chores the jade emperor can think of so everyone pretends she didn’t happen just to be safe. Meanwhile his ex wife is chilling with a cold drink on a beach somewhere living her best life unbothered by the drama.

Out of curiosity what happened to Xi Wangmu in sundown era? I remember that she wanted to make fried monkey lips out of Wukong after Havoc in Heaven. I just highly doubt she'd let go of Wukong killing her husband even if she was a destruction goddess
