All of the Lilo and Stitch talk dredged up a core memory for me from middle school, haha.

It was like, early 2004 or 2003 so the original was still a fresh release and was popular, and my chorus teacher in the 7th grade decided “Hey, let’s sing Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride for our spring concert.” Sounded reasonable; we lived an hour from Disney World, singing Disney songs was not just normal but kinda expected.

We get to the section with the Hawaiian. Everyone kinda stops. The teacher thinks about it, shrugs, goes, “Mmm, we could just skip that part.”

Friends. Thirteen year old me went OFF. No we are NOT just skipping that part, that felt WRONG. It was a song about HAWAII, I was going to SING THE HAWAIIAN PART. We were ALL going to sing the Hawaiian part. I was going to make sure of it and I told her so.

I sat my happy ass down next to the CD player with a notebook and pencil and I played back the Hawaiian portions of the song over and over at half speed, writing out the phonetics until I knew I understood them. Then I taught them to the rest of the class, line by line. I refused to fucking SKIP that part.

By the time the concert came? We had it DOWN. We could sing it while doing choreography. I can still sing it to this day.

I didn’t know why my parents were VERY proud of me for doing it at the time, since I was a dumb kid, but now I’m also proud of little me for doing it. As shy as she was and as little self-esteem as she had, she knew what she was about and it was Doing the Bare Minimum at LEAST.

Goddd what's the issue where Bruce tells Alfred to give Dick a piece of chocolate cake to cheer him up? And Bruce gets drugged/tied up and Dick goes to save him but then gets in trouble, and Bruce fights through his drugged state to save Dick? Has anyone ever (idk why they would) compiled a list of every time someone was banned on lifesteal?

Like I'm going to just have to do it myself to prove my own point, and it's a stupid point because for lore and content it's far more interesting to be afraid of the threat of getting banned.

But I'm pretty sure... all... of the bans have been either out of pure accident or out of the player choosing to be banned.

Like has there ever been a time where someone got legitimately farmed off the server (and succeeded?)

It has been close multiple times, but someone always saves the in danger player. Spoke trapped Clown's spawn point in the Cleansing, but didn't ban him. They spawn trapped Zam in the s3 finale when he was revived. Spawn trapping Jaron on his revival s4. Both were saved by teammates. And wemmbu almost getting banned by Ash s5, but breaking his own bed and escaping.

I guess Squiddo banning wemmbu s5 was an unplanned and not accidental ban tbh. But since it was later, and a betrayal, it's not the same as the threat of your enemy banning you.

But I feel like it's got to have happened more I just can't remember when. The threat is always there and when someone wants someone banned they really do put their all into trying.

But it just genuinely doesn't happen that often. Which is really interesting to me because the new members are so afraid of getting banned, flame almost the most. He's talked about it ages ago that he wanted extra hearts specifically so if he got farmed off and he would be able to come back on 20 immediately. And then with Kab originally wanting to ban Mane, and then being so afraid of getting banned herself.
