Now, you basically live there and the servants LOVE you. When Finny is doing his work in the garden, and you sit there and have a tea with Ciel, you look like a pretty painting >_< Thats what he says at least (everyone agrees tho)

When you got to know the...darker side of Ciels business, and all the stuff he does as the queens watchdog, well...you revealed your darker side too i guess

Whenever he tells you about all he did, you always say really disturbing things, and not only him, but also Sebastian loves that >_<

MERCURY — the most trans transmasc to ever trans. i dont know if hes more male or nonbinary leaning but that honestly just depends on the day for me personally. probably more nby. he 100% would go through with physically transitioning because the dysphoria is killer

that being said, i do agree he's definitely not well. i think he has bpd,, mostly out of me projecting and what not but also because i think it just makes sense. growing up distanced from the people around you and not receiving proper emotional support does that to a mf

he's got a facade up damn near all the time. inoffensive, orderly, agreeable, prim and proper. not to manipulate the people around him for his own gain, but because he knows thats what other people want. anything less and he'd be a bad butler, and therefore, effectively useless

- not really a hc since this is just kind of a fact? but ill say it here because its what draws me to him the most: he's afraid of being rendered useless.

- he's not an emotional guy. i dont think he feels much most days. all his smiles are about as fake as the teeth he would've needed if he went on for much longer. i think he's been somewhat resigned to his fate for a while now, but that doesn't stop him from thinking what if every now and again

- not good at taking compliments but loves them. praise him too much and too often and you'd finally see him emotional i think. really, letting this man know that his worth is not defined by how useful he is to others would fix him

- i think his monocle is both for appearances and because he's got a bum eye, trying to hide it in a way that fits

- poor guy doesn't sleep well most nights. his morning tea, if he's able to have any, is highly caffeinated (i dont think he'd be that much of a coffee guy- not to mention the whole tea drinking thing is befitting of a british butler, so he'd roll with it)

Even tho Bepo does make a few comments about female bears, i wonder if it is more of an automatic response than anything, maybe something like compulsive speciism like you mentioned. Like it’s not something at the forefront of Bepo’s mind but that’s what is expected, that a mink will be with another mink, so that informs what he says out loud. I can’t help but think about how Bepo left Zou at such a very young age too, bc as far as we know, Bepo has been around humans far longer than minks at this point, so i wonder how that would’ve impacted or shaped his development and outlook on such things? In other areas too, I wonder if Bepo felt odd coming back to Zou, seeing the differences between himself and other minks who grew up and stayed in Zou or stayed in closer contact to minks even if they weren’t living in Zou. All this in relation to LawBepo and Bepo’s immediate intense strong attachment to Law, it’s interesting to think about!

its a single crumb of Bepo's presense on Zou during that arc but i did appreciate when it was noted that "Even though he is from here, he is still an outsider" like thats GREAT thats a bit of worldbuilding i really appreciate making characters behavior more believable - ye no shit...not only did this guy not live with them, disappearing as a kid - he brought humans with him too - he is a complete stranger to the island. imagine moving to a very different country in elementary school - all your formative years would be shaped in accordance to the new place. I love that they treated him like the stranger he is

and GOOD POINT ABOUT HIS INSTANT ATTACHMENT TO LAW like yes of course its logical that he would be appreciative of a person who saved him - but Bepo had ZERO apprehension towards Law and following Law to a strangers house.. ofc u can say that he is too naive and easily trusting but it mustve been so crazy to him to be like wow! not only humans exist (when they met bepo have gotten over that initial surprise and probably hid from adults til pensha found him and beat his ass) but there are nice ones too! yay!!!!!!!!! :D!!

its absolutely compulsive species attraction like "i'm supposed to find a bear mink" and he just thought that way the whole time growing up and didnt even consider humans - and that was fine because he was very busy loving and supporting law - thought didnt cross his mind...if he felt horny he just thought "oh well i cant do nothing about this! idk where bear women are at!"

i love thinking about how weird it felt to come back home (and like i talked abt before i love that bepo didnt go home because he wanted to fullfill his initial wishes to 1) find zunesha on his own - reason he learned navigation 2) find out where his brother go - no he went to zou because (as he himself probably suggested as it was a safest place) law ordered them to lay low somewhere....i love that so much, that law going off on his personal vendetta mission caused bepo to fullfil his personal dream - the one that he put away for so long BECAUSE what law became way more important.

There is a sense of shame and wrong priorities there - imagine that instead of being a sort of triumphant/celebratory visit home where you can boast look at me i'm a pirate like my big brother! No instead he comes home asking for help, for a place to hide, not only for himself but strangers to the island - and he himself is as much a stranger as the humans. oof.

Its hard to imagine he felt that comfortable around minks at first, it was a wishful thinking like here i am among my people - but they look at him (and rightfully so) like an alien - and bepo is too worried about law to care....he is not there to integrate back into society....these people are not his people anymore, his crew and law are his family now

its super interesting and i really am sour forever that we didnt get more about this aside from "he is still a stranger even if he is from here" line about bepo and others being quarantined to a single area - and that one moment where bepo says "even if im a stranger this is my island too" when they are about to help defend zou against beast pirates along with locals

Helluva Boss is here again and oh boy, am i excited right now. I am very, VERY suprised but i love the new Halloween episode. I am sorry but i wont even look over tumblr to see other opinions, cause i know i will lose my current joy. I will do this later when i lose my excitment.

So why do I like the newest ep? I am not completely sure, maybe my expectations got really low over the duration of the 2nd season. Still, here are things that I really like:

1. Dynamics between I.M.P. members.

I feel like it has been SO LONG since I.M.P was shown as a team. Not as side characters for Stolitz, but people who are actually important and interesting. Even though it heavily focused on Millie and Blitz, there were small moments to show other members too. First we've got Loona who is completely exhausted. Which u know, most people would be if they didnt sleep the night, but also imagine what she had to deal with living with heartbroken Blitz. My goodness. But despite any sympathy i may have, i like her better this way. She was less bitchy than usual, ready to actually talk and compromise. It was really interesting to see her talk with Millie. The interaction was suprisingly civil and, dare i even say, friendly. Mill always has been kinda racist towards Loona, not using her name but calling her a "hellhound". Their relationship was rather non-existent with the the exception of Truth Seekers's events. And yet somehow i feel like they could be really great friends, so seeing Millie ask Loona for help was really satysfying. I think Millie is somewhat the most neutral towards Loona which is wild. Blitz treats her like a child and is ready to forgive her basicly everything while Moxxie has a very negative view of her (which is completely valid). But Millie sees her as an adult and is generally tolerant towards her problematic attitude while being aware of it. I think she could be a healthy influence (though her racism needs to be acknowledged and resolved) and they could create a very powerful team. I really would like to see it happen. Anyway, Loona actually agreeing to babysit Mox is gold. And then giving him ice-cream to help with his breakdown... just beautiful. I dont think sth like this has ever happened before. She was always really mean to him. The I.M.P. actually felt like a team in this episode, even if they weren't together. I really miss this, i think it should be a much bigger focus for a show called helluva BOSS. But yea, lets talk about Millie and Blitz. I really liked their dynamic. It feels like an expansion of what we had seen in the show. I always kinda wondered why Millie is so tolerant of Blitz's behaviour. He is very toxic in general but especially towards Moxxie, and as we all know she is ready to both die and kill for her husband. It didnt make sense for her to just ignore all the shit Blitz does. Even if he is generally sweet to her. He compliments her skills a lot and clearly values Millie. Now it makes a bit more sense. She sees him as a boss, a friend, and also, in a way, a hero. He is an inspiration to her. He is an equal in skills, he gave her a place to be of value and sth more than just another imp from Wrath. She met her husband because of him, found a place for herself. She clearly values him a lot, enough to ignore all the bullshit. Thats why it was so satysfying to see her angry with him. Made her more real and the conflict more impactful. This is the first time i really believed in Millie as an individual person. I think the show really needed an episode like this, shame its here only now. But hey, better late then never. Also, while i am able to believe in their friendship and understand Millie better now i still wish their relationship was better established earlier.

2. Blitz. Obviously.

As always he is a mess, it just becomes more and more obvious as the show goes. I have to say it is rather satisfying to see him so miserable over Stolas. Its is both suprising how open he is about it, while also being completely in character. Blitz's problems always end up being everyone problem. He is just... a very needy person, especially for someone who is afraid of getting close to others. This time however he really outdid himself. Moxxie will never again look at numbers without crying.

...Anyway, i think i always waited for a moment like this, where Blitz loses Stolas and understands just how important he is to him. And its a bit more pathetic and less violent than i expected. Yet somehow the show managed to actually not focus on Stolitz??? Huh??? Never thought it would happen. And especially in an episode like this. Makes me very happy, not gonna lie.

Then there are other things. Blitz's panic attack, flashbacks and emotional torment. Seeing Tilla burn and melt was so good. I hope he held her eye in reality too. The vibe of this episode, the gore and horrorish stuff are amazing. While his memories didnt really bring anything new (i mean, we all know about these stuff before or at least we had strong suspicions), the dead Millies were very interesting. The manifestation of his fear and guilt over all the times he endangered her live even though i dont really think he would be directly responsible for any of them. (For those who didnt notice, the forms of dead Milllie are connected to the first four episodes of the show.) I didnt think he was self-aware enough to acknowledge just how close to death they have sometimes come. Or maybe i am just projecting cause i never ever thought they could die, so why should they worry about it either? Especially since the show didnt treat these events seriously.

Then there are a few dialogue pieces i find really curious. The fact that Blitz says he never had a friend who he didnt want to have sex with. That actually is really sad and explains way to much. It seems that the only closeness Blitz has ever experienced in his adult was sexual. He doesnt know other way to feel connected to people, no wonder he wanted a threesome with M&M. He probably felt left out when they fell in love. Like he didnt matter anymore to them and the only way to stop it was to become a part of it. I think we all know what being a third wheel feels like and for someone like Blitz to be in this position... yae he obviously became a disaster. And dont misunderstand me. His attitude was completely fucked up. But the show treated it both as a joke an as an issue, whichever fit to the plot, without actually explaining why the heck is it even a thing. Well now i feel like i have finally got my answer and an okay one at that. I am happy Blitz decided to stop doing this, he is actually becoming a better person in the show. Now i only wish the same happened to Stolas, cause as for now he is becoming kinda worse and worse. I dont mind if the show is aware of it, which i am unsure if it is.

3. Animation.

I think its one of the best animated episodes in the entire show. There was no weird camera movement, the fight sequences were stunning, same with litghting, backrounds, character animation and generally everything. There were parts where it got particularly smooth or engaging. The part with Blitz sliding in bloody vents was such a great way to establish atmosphere. I could really feel how slippery everything became, how unsetlling. And there was a ton of scenes like this with all the horror vibes. Just. Stunning. Congrats to everyone who worked on it. In my opinion it was better animated than any of Hazbin episodes.

4. Humor.

Was it the funniest episode of helluva boss? Hell no. But i did laugh hard at the grandpa punching Millie hard while talking about fighting nazis. It took me completely of guard. Then another joke, when Blitz cursed his and Millie's little legs. It reminded me of the famous Hogwarts Jaguar (bless his soft little paws over which he trips when he runs too fast). Then there is Moxxie, just in general. He was very relatable. The whole ghost fucking didnt do it for me but the song was so bad it was actually hilarious.

5. Themes

This episode just felt refreshing. We have gotten some interesting dynamics: Loona with Mox and Blitz with Millie. Stolitz somewhat is not a focus but more of a tool to study Blitzo and others as characters. It shows I.M.P.'s mission. There is some world building with the whole demon in the living world. We now know how Millie met Blitz and whats more that he was an assasin in hell before he started killing humans. The show actually talks about imp discrimination. Blitz and Millie are super badass. Overall its a lot of themes. And whats more they didnt fuck it all up like s02e02. Gosh how i hate the Seeing Stars episode.

And now things i dislike. There is nothing in this episode that was particulary bad. I thing all the stuff i am frustrated with are more because of the lack of proper setup or continuity. For example I.M.P.'s skills level. I feel like they are either amazing or completely useless. On one hand we have scenes like Millie and Blitz's first fight, on the other she is getting hit with a bottle by a mere human while Blitz runs around with a new hole in his body. I just never know how good or bad they actually are in comparsion to other imps or demons. Then the imp discrimination. I am genuinely invested in this theme, but the show really cant decide what imps are. Are they pets? Slaves or servants?? The low class peasants, assasins or a straight up mafia??? Like what the heck. Maybe i am stupid but it doesnt make sense to me, like most of the worldbuilding at is point is a huge mess. What happens when demons die? What is law in hell? Why are there places like prisons or hospitals? How are higher class demons responsible for hell in general? So many, many, MANY things that are becoming only more problematic.

To conclude i feel like this episode gave me everything i wanted to see in Helluva Boss. More of the killing bussiness, I.M.P. inside dynamics, Blitz's fucked up self, imps fighting for a better life despite the discrimination, fun spooky shit and beautiful animation. I just cant help but be sad and frustrated that the whole show isnt more like this. These are themes i would like to see. I love romance, i really do, but not when its the only plot. Also, i wish the set up was better so i could enjoy the episode even more. I just feel like the majority of the second season is a wasted potential. I liked the first episode, but i didnt really buy the childhood friends trope. Seeing Stars is a complete disaster. It ruined so many things for me... Stolitz, Stolas as a father, the potiential of Loona and Octavia's friendship, Blitz and Loona's first meeting, their relationship in general, the quality of animation and sound design... i can talk and talk about how bad this episode is. I really prefer to pretend it didnt happen but unfortunately it ruined things i had been waiting for and i cant change that.

Now, i wanted to write more about other episodes, but u know what? I think i will analyse the season as a whole when it comes out. I have already spend too much time writing this post.

Hi m! I'm not sure if you remember but I sent you an ask a long time ago, around the end of season three about season four. About bug and max and vecna? I had some more thoughts if you're open to hearing them!

First of all can I just say the phone call came out of the blue for me, and I think it was genius. I knew that Jonathan was gonna miss bug but I never thought it'd be like that. And I really loved dear Billy, we're beginning to see how much it's going to affect bug seeing max being targeted, and how bug literally invited vecna to take her instead of max. Also the scene of Steve and Nancy at the trailer park was perfection. You did a really good job opening a gateway for bugs insecurity and fear to slip through, and the same with Steve and Dustin! I'm not totally sure how Nancy and bugs relationship is going to go in a matter of how they deal with their feelings. Like Nancy's problems with Jonathan, and bugs problem with Jonathan and her insecurities about Steve. Also Steve's relationship issues with bug partially caused by Jonathan . What I'm most curious about is the plan of luring vecna. At first I didn't know who'd bug go with, I couldn't find a place for her where steve wouldn't object. He wouldn't want her with him in the upsidedown because it's too dangerous. If something happens he won't be able to help her, or vecna would sense her somehow due to the psychic connection he has. Since Steve doesn't want her in the upsidedown that rules out Dustin and Eddie. Which leaves Max, Lucas and Erica, but I really don't think Steve would trust bug with Max. He couldn't trust bug not to throw herself in danger to protect max. So that leaves her with Erica on lookout. At the same time I don't think bug would leave max alone. I don't think she'd abandon her post necessarily but I have a feeling she'd have a plan to save max. The second she hears or sees something wrong she's gonna rush in, but maybe she can't get to the attic in time? Who knows! Vecna is very tricky but he can't trance two people at one time. I still think bugs attacks will happen after max is sacrificed. Her trances will still progress like it did with the other victims but in the end it'll still be Max. Maybe bug will have her own floaty moment but I don't think vecna would kill her. She will have her own uses in season five. I really think after the panic dies down there's gonna be a lot of turmoil in the group since Steve knows about the phone call and Nancy probably won't know? And when bug calls him back, I feel like Steve might take that as confirmation, that would feed into his abandonment issues. I also saw the post about Claudia maybe dying? If that does happen dear God. Imagine bug waking up in the hospital, and she sees max. She's heartbroken, then she starts to think about Dustin and her mom, when everyone is at the cabin meeting up with the rest of the party bug sneaks back to her house, only to find a huge crack where her house used to be. That would be her last straw. It would take alot for her to come back from that. Like I don't even think Steve or Jonathan could. Dustin and Joyce can keep her from going off the deep end but it'd be a lot. Maybe you can do some kind of healing things where her dad is the one to help her, but I can see this only growing her resentment for her father 10x. She'd be very depressed. I also had the idea about vecna making the party choose between bug and max that I'm not sure if I sent it to you before. Bug goes into a trance and for those few minutes max wakes up, but when bug comes back max goes back too. Bug would be put on lockdown after that. Everyone knows she'd do anything to get Max back. It'd be very dramatic and heartbreaking for the party to see.

i DO remember the ask you sent and i specifically didnt answer because you touched on a whole bunch of plots i was planning and u predicted a LOT so i was like oh damn anon ur in my mind.

as for THIS ask ,,,,, whew ! all i will say is that choosing who bug would stay with for the final ep was agonizing because i truly had no idea how to mend that plot hole. she wouldnt leave max alone, nor dustin, nor steve. so it was. very rough deciding.

however !!! i came up with a quasi solution that im very excited to show yall when the time comes. im proud of how i shifted canon and fit my own bug prerogative in lmao.

so where does it all begin? well.... (under the cut bc its Long)

aran didnt actually have to use any of dirty tricks to take joe down, so they didn't start off on that bad of a foot, or a bad foot at all. (fighting is par for the course for this sport, of course.)

that being said though, you still see n hear things ab eachother, and have assumptions as a result. Aran initally sees joe as a snobby, wimpy man, and joe aran as a scary, unpredictable brute.

eventually, however, aran starts looking at joe... a little differently. he pranks him a lot because yknow. its funny. but joe doesnt seem to mind it at all... in fact, he takes his pranks really well, and it makes aran see strong joe is in a way and how much of a sense of humor he has.

joe at the other hand, noticed that aran, outside the ring, was actually fairly tame, outside of his pranks of course. it helped a lot with mellowing his perception of him. combine this joe's many hobbies and aran's try-everything attitude, and youve got the start of a click !

news of their little budding relationship spreads around the minor- and world circuit, and kaiser begins to take notice ab how joe talks ab aran, how hed normally b horrified at the prospect of him being anywhere NEAR him.

so one day, in all his eternal german grace, he says...

''well if you love him so much, why don't you two kiss, hm?''

and joe hadnt gotten that thought out of his head since.

as for disco kid hcs, ive already told most of them so ill talk ab how the minor circuit reacted to joe wanting to confess to aran instead !!

disco, albeit kinda scared of aran, is ecstatic for joe, wishes him luck and wants to know EVERYTHING about how it went afterward

i imagine hippo would be pretty whatever about it. guy isnt too concerned ab peoples love lifes. wishes him luck like disco tho.

meanwhile kaiser? ''Eh, it is your funeral''

I imagine the world circuit wouldn't be as close with eachother seeing as how theyre busier n likely more hounded by journalists, but they do know in broad terms what goes on in the lives of eachother.

so macho catches wind of aran's crush, and he basically shittalks joe to arans face

''I know everyone's standards are too high for you, but joe's just a sad bar, even for you.''

Aran, not even reacting to the dig against him, starts ranting to macho about how joe is admirable as all hell for getting back up after 99 losses, and how that must mean he has a real love and respect for the sport. He even boldly exclaims that joe arguably works harder than macho, the victories who seems to come so easily to him.

macho eventually leaves, deciding aran's not worth his precious time.

aran then turns around, and OMG HE SEES JOE STANDING THERE !!!!!

anyway he heard all about what aran said (thats right, overhearing ooc conversations and miscommunication happening is OUT, overhearing conversations and gaining respect for someone is IN), and confesses right there and then. aran, hearing prolly the most romantic speech thats ever been directed to him in his entire life, is at a loss for words. He can't say anything other than ''of course, joey.''

and thats the start of their relationship :3

as for other misc hcs that dont fit anywhere else...

one time, when cleaning out aran's jacket pockets (joe's a bit of a neat freak), he found... a bunch of lint. But also !! he found a ton of crumpled up notes. They included phrases for the ring, comedic poems... but they also had affirmations for himself, about his family, but also about joe. joe, sans the lint, left the pockets as is. ever since then though, he's felt closer to him than ever.

joe will often try to pick up aran like a princess. considering hes still decently muscled, he can do it succesfully.

joe loves baking, especially bread, but aran will ALWAYS manage to set something on fire. think spencer from icarly.

they infodump to eachother ab their respective countries histories and folk tales, joe esp ab the former n aran ab the latter.

one time, joe and aran set out for a night walk. then, they (or rather aran) thought he heard a banshee screech. what they actually heard prolly was a car tire screeching in the distance. aran, however, was never the less scared SHITLESS and ran tf home, screaming highpitched. He had to be comforted by joe all night after they got home.

aran loves going to theme parks. he loves the rush. joe, however, hates the tall rides like the rollercoasters, n prefers the calmer rides like the teacups. They have a ''goes onto the rollercoaster alone'' x ''holds the persons stuff while theyre gone'' dynamic.

they rly like singing duets together, especially after a couple drinks. wine in joe's case and beer in arans case. theyve sang at macho's parties before as well, and needless to say they make for great entertainment.

kokomi prob tried to be secret at first just to prevent having MORE stalkers and general crazy people surrounding her every day life, but she would def be the first person to be exposed by the public because.. well, the media would be OBSESSED with her but also, shes just really obvious and doesnt realize shes not being subtle at all.. prob has all her long blue hair out of her suit and everything.. eventually she prob decided against having a mask at all (or just having one around her eyes) cuz being pretty and perfect adds to her whole thing

kusuo is pissed at both of them cuz he seriously cant handle hanging out with them in public now.. like if it was bad before, its terrible now

alsooo i was thinking about whether or not all his friends knew each others secret identities from the start or not and i started considering like if they didnt at first, yumehara would have a crush on kaido or the jet black widow and i was thinking theyd team up or something and she'd be like ugh i cant crush on this guy, i have kaido !!! and then i realized, this is just miraculous, i was making yumekai miraculous 😭😭

is kusuke a supervillain? ehhhh, probably nottt, he'd prob be similar to how he is in canon.. jealous and obsessive over his brother but doesnt really care about anything or anyone else enough to really be evil, he prob creates crazy supervillain esque tech that could rival the heroes easily but only uses it in private against kusuo cuz he wants to prove he can beat him.. kusuo comes back from his brothers place absolutely BATTERED and bloody and the others are like "?!?!? did u battle someone and not tell us???" and hes like nah i was just hanging out with my brother

just a thought!! i didnt do everyone but with some of the others, i wasnt sure whether i would want them to be spider people in this au or not, like maybe theyd have some other role ?? would not be opposed to it though if anyone else has ideas for it or if i think of something..

AAAAAH I APPRECIATE THIS SO MUCH!! I love seeing other people pick apart the bird boy too. I agree mha is like, really fun because of the character stories in particular and there's so much care put into how they write hawks. I AGREE that Hawks hasn't had the oppurtunity to really explore who He is outside of his work, like so much of his identity is tied to that and I think he notices that too? It's part of why he thinks about a society where heroes are bored and have too much time on their hands so much (though I think his primary goal is that he wants to keep the world safe; if heroes have too much free time, that means there's no one that needs saving/help).

hello !!!!! im sorry for taking literally Forever to finally answer this ask, i hope i am not too late, or that this is still useful when u see this :)

thank u so much !! hmm me personally i am not even sure of how to write characters LOL but ! some things i think help when writing byler are maybe taking into consideration their personalities ! theyre multidimensional and fictional (obviously 😭) but thats amazing because !!!! u can take any facet of them and make it all the more exaggerated, a lot of scenes u see will fed up and rolling his eyes, u could emphasize in on that, or mike being so clueless, all of it is canon and u can have as much fun as u want with it :) there's no real way to write a character because they are all subjective ! do whatever u want with it !!! most likely people will enjoy it, there are so many enjoyable interpretations of them that u usually cant go wrong !!!

specifically for dialogue though, thats a little different !! i quite literally try to visualize and imagine the characters saying it, if the quote has any kind of words that just . sound wrong in their voices or just dont sound like something theyd say, even just by making a character too well spoken sometimes makes them sound out of character . an example could be just . mike being way too confident when he talks about his feelings, he's really articulate but he always includes "i don't know"s or "um"'s or just general stuttering ! i recommend just rewatching some scenes and seeing what words the characters tend to repeat :)

so just in general i think its good to go back to the source material and do some comparing-contrasting with ur work !!! and Remember that its fanfiction, u cant rly go wrong with it :]

and . superheroes . i have no idea 😭😭 i really aimed for humor with my own fic of superheroes, not much realism, so i didnt exactly focus on the semantics of it . but ! i did try to be creative with the verbs iused to describe the way they move, since theyre "super" u can have a lot more freedom with what they do to fight or move !!!!! it depends on what kind of approach ur taking i think ! something realistic verus something humor-based often contrast very much when u try to write them LOL

Carlos and Terra :] very good pair for the most part i think. just 2 big older bros doing what they do to try to help people.. but it all goes to shit kupo. i can see them getting along pretty well, both due to their personal experiences and bc of who they are in general. also now that i think abt it its kinda funny that both of them happen to be plagued by visions but only Carlos' have an actual explanation?? Terra morphogenetic field moment?? even funnier is that both of them have the same "welp. anyway" reaction to it like yeah this just happens sometimes 👍 kind of unfortunate Terra couldnt use his to prevent bad things from happening too but oh well. its not like hopping timelines is that easy in his universe anyway. Terra still gets bonus points on an individual level bc while there was very little he couldve done differently there Are things Carlos couldve just uh. not done. yknow. things that i think Terra would kick his ass over tbh

Diana and Aqua.... oof. on god we're gonna get u girls some therapy. they were both so severely fucked over by like. literally everything from ingame events to the narrative itself. trapped in two different but absolute hellholes of sitautions for Very Long Amounts of Time and only called upon as a pawn in a game that both defines and ruins their lives and their entire world, and they barely even know it. and the only people they get to talk to at some point in their respective hells are Sigma and Micheal Mouse (and Terra sort of).. yea i think id lose it too tbh. its interesting that Diana was a 100% crucial part of why ztd happened while Aqua's role in Xehanorts plan wasnt really until ddd/kh3 unless u count him planning the whole end of bbs.. before that she was more of an outside force? not that taking her out wouldnt change anything ofc but her direct actions were more harmful to the overall plan than going according to it. i might need to play bbs again to confirm that more but uhh i forgot where i was going with this. i could see them getting along but i dont really remember enough about Diana as a person to know just how well they would? i guess itd at least be nice to have someone else who knows what their oddly specific and horrific situations are like, more or less

finally Sean n Ven.. Man. talk abt kids who cant catch a break for their entire lives no matter how outragously short OR long. they both just have a Lot going on and play some of the most major roles in their respective stories and god knows they didnt ask for any of it!! tho weirdly enough i dont feel much for Sean considering how he fits into the kinda characters i usually get attached to. but maybe thats just bc it was ztd. anyway !! out of the 3 duos here i think these two are most likely to become actual friends. from the memory fuckery to having a greater role in everything than they couldve imagined (both of them essentially being a key at some point..) to even just. having a very limited world in some way. and not having full control over their bodies. and several other major things im probably forgetting they both have. lots and lots and lots of things. they are friends to me

and just some general other thoughts - while im. not entirely sure how to feel abt what ztd does with the morphogenetic field i can at least appreciate the weird memory stuff that comes with body hopping and the possibilities that has when tied to all the other weird memory stuff that already happens in kh for similar or different reasons. like the way ztd (and vlr to some extent) went about it didnt quite hit the way i wanted it to but the concept is cool to me? itd be fun to play around with it in the context of kh i think. or vice versa. altho maybe introducing multiple timelines to the kh universe isnt the best idea.. hm. much to think about

so for context me and this guy went to the same college for undergrad together. we were in the astronomy club together. we didnt start talking until the last like two years of my time there? because my first two years were spent with me being a reclusive freak who couldnt make friends or speak to anyone, and then online meetings because of covid. it was just casual like oh hi we are in the same club together to then like him being one of the people i gravitated towards for small talk because i didnt know anyone wlse in the club but he was really outgoing and became a board member so it was still like. We’re friendly and will chat but we arent friends yknow!

he wound up graduating before me by like a year but he met up with us for an astro club trip during the fall semester of my senior year. he had mentioned he worked at [redacted place] and so i was like 👉👈 how do u get a job there. and he gave me his boss’s email and then lo and behold when i graduated i emailed him and got the job as well

Now additional context this guy is like, 30? i think somewhere around there. and so by now he’s worked here for years enough to where he actually has a full time job elsewhere and only comes in here once a week

and so yknow once i got hired i didnt work a shift with him till like months after i started so then it was like oh im working X shift i’ll finally get to catch up with him lol!! but nowadays im working much more consistent and nearly full time hours here so i overlap with him at least once a month and so i’d say after actually working with him like we’re real friends now not just friendly hi there clubmates lulz

so then last weekend, the day before i overlapped a shift wirh him, i was alone in the building and panicking cuz i needed something so i was in the company slack like Hi everyone. Do you know where this important object is. and this guy was the first one to respond and was the only one whose response was actually helpful. so then when i worked with him rhe following day he asked how that went and i was filling him in and he was like, wait how do i not have your number? cuz u could just text me instead of feeling embarrassed for going into the whole company slack asking for help. so yknow like we’re friends AND coworkers now so its like whatevers yeah lol lets swap numbers who cares

but im so used to like, when swapping numbers w coworkers, to pretty much only talk about work stuff until we get more comfy talking outside work, and then occassionally move into brief casual conversations. so imagine my surprise when he just comes right out the bat swinging w the casual conversations. and its like yeah ok like we have years long history prior to working together as coworkers but its also like, i feel like we only actually became legit friends after working together??? so like idk there is still the coworkerly aspect to it that i cant shake

And so i start my joking along bc yeah whayever im not gonna make it weird but then like. i am an atrocious texter. i can and will take days to respond if not entire weeks. but yknow i have to work with this guy so i dont wanna leave him hanging and make things weird so after like 2-3 days i make sure to respond but then still leave things sparse, mostly because i was busy as fuck this week

so today he texts me while im on my break. the daily break schedules are posted publicly basically for anyone in our department to see regardless of if theyre actively working at the momsnt. so he texts me maybe 5 mins into my break and im like oh man is this a coincidence or not. and his text was like “why dont you stay late today so we can work a full shift together. no reason. just to hang out haha” LIKE HUH?? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???? and thats what prompted me to make that hmmmm post earlier today. like its not weird enough for my hackles to rise but its also like. Im baffled? im gobsmacked?

so im like man he can see im on my break i have no excuse to not text to finally i respond again and im like lol sorry i cant im so tired ive been working a lot this week (A. ive been looking forward to finishing malevolent s4 tonight all week long and i cannot do that if im working a surprise 14 hour shift. B. i am genuinely so tired and i really just need a nice night in. it was indeed a long week and C. it is a casual hint that like hi im not like purposefully ignoring you i just suck at texting because im so incredibly busy all the time)

HUH ⁉️⁉️ Im even MORE baffled, even MORE gobsmacked than i was before. why are you a 30 year old man using 🥺 ????? and he says “no worries, our shifts still overlap so i’ll see you tonight” LIKE YEAH I KNOW ALREADY. I ACTUALLY LOOK AT THE SCHEDULE (he also has famously announced he never looks at the schedule because he always works the same singular shift every week - why is he looking at the schedule suddenly ????) HUH? HUH??? HUH?

like i really feel like im overthinking this and he’s just being friendly and potentially we have different ideas of what exactly our friendship entails and so i do not want to be like hey hi yeah we were classmates and all and you were one of the few friendly faces to me back when i was struggling to make any friends at all, and i do not want to insult those years by implying that like we arent actually friends enough to joke around and tex outside work related stuff, but also like. I am someone who requires either a decade of talking to someone daily, or like a trauma filled blood pact, to become actual friends with. so like yeah i would in fact call our friendliness in college something akin to friends but theres a difference between friends and Friends(TM) yknow? so im just left feeling absolutely fucking baffled by all this.
