oh there's something so funny about cat hybrid bakugou. even though he's wearing the grumpiest face ever, you give him a kissy on his cheeks and he starts purring. every night when he cuddles up beside you in bed, you can feel his wide hands very lightly kneading your thigh. sometimes when you're touching him too much, he can't help but bite you on the hand.

Just started rewatching futari wa precure (I had a huuuuuge precure phase when I was a kid and I watched like all the seasons available then) and I was reminded of just how similar miraculous ladybug is to precure. Like legit it is just a magical girl anime but with normal superhero outfits pasted over the top and it got me thinking about how we were fucking robbed of magical girl Adrien.

Like they should have based the outfits on what the user deemed a superhero outfit cus Adrien would be rocking up in frills and thigh high heels while Marinette would rock up in gotham hero grunge.

Like you cannot tell me that lonely baby adrien wasn't an avid consumer of precure and sailor moon but in the same vain, Marinette would have definitely been a western superhero fan with emphasis on the batfam.

Like just imagine:

Adrien: "I run off the power of love and will protect the people of paris with the help of my fairy plagg!"

Marinette, who's favourite show is batman and the only magical girl show she's seen is magi madoka: "w h a t???"

Adrien, going through cutesy choreography that is 100% unessesary for his attack: "with the power of light I dispell you!"

Adrien: ✨️disintegrates a man✨️

Marinette: "..."

Marinette: "I am both terrified and amazed..."

(Adrien is upset he doesn't get a beam attack but he will make do by just making his cataclysm as extra as humanly possible)

Marinette summons her lucky charm by rummaging through her utility belt, also she also has a gun because she was having a red hood phase when she got the miraculous. It shoots whatever bullets she's feeling like because creation magic bullshit.

They're mostly rubber but whenever hawkmoth shows up they become metal and also explode... Gabriel Agreste is terrified of the both of them and refuses to attend fights in person ever again, after the time that Ladybug almost blew off his leg because he was temporarily blinded by cat noir's petticoat.

#hawkmoth would have lasted a month at most #and only that long cus marinette convinced adrien that they needed to start fighting normal crime too #adrien would have probably called himself a different name too #maybe cure nyan or something #he is 100% convinced that plagg is a precure fairy in denial #marinette is living her best life #her fighting style is a mix of nightwing and red hood and criminals are terrified #adrien is convinced that she's his tuxedo mask #also marinette pulls out a dvd of heartcatch precure from her lucky charm at one point #and I want to think that watching that is the defining moment where they become a real team #because she gets why he sees magical girls as hope now #she still prefers batman but she starts putting on precure for manon when she babysits #it's also how she ends up dating adrien cus she mentions that she watches it with manon #and somehow she ends up with a standing agreement to invite adrien over everytime she's babysitting cus adrien loves it apparently #she makes him a cosplay at one point and he proposes #they were not dating yet #he just couldn't restrain his autistic glee #she realises he's cat noir after she watches him practicing new cataclysm choreography #precure #batman #miraculous ladybug #miraculous #adrien agreste #marinette #marinette dupain cheng #adrien #magical girl #magical girl adrien AU

Me, episode 1: Oh, a relatable protag! And a relatable female protag, at that. Sweet! That never happens.

Me, a few episodes in: Wait, the protag really is going to be my character? The one I identify with the most? Seriously? It's not going to be a strange, at least somewhat sinister, seemingly hostile male side character? It's gonna be a female character and the protagonist? That's insane, that literally never happens... what's the catch??

Me, more than halfway through the season: ... huh, I guess Maomao really is it. Okay, then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Me to myself, after episodes 22/23:

#i let my guard down #i should have known #like really i should know better by now lmao #that's probably the best depiction of prosopagnosia i've seen in fiction ngl #also luo//men's suggestion re: using other attributes to tell people apart??#A++ approach what a guy #mine isn't nearly as severe but i totally use footsteps/gait/mannerisms as my primary means of distinguishing people #the very few people i care about i can definitely recognize by facial features #and people i see frequently; though i do have trouble recognizing them if they appear in a context i'm not used to #like. if i were to see one of my sword classmates at my workplace for instance i would have trouble recognizing them #but anyone else? forget it #the most difficult part of working veterinary front desk was returning animals to their owners #bc even though i could have /just/ spoken with the owners like. ten minutes ago #i couldn't tell you which animal belonged to which owner #faces just don't register with me #dogs were easier in that i'd just let them lead me to their owners #but if it was a cat in a carrier i was fucked lmaooo #it's why if there was another receptionist working i'd let them handle any hand offs XDD #i don't remember most of my childhood but i have some very vivid impressions of moments like #my mother asking me to go give a cash tip to the hairdresser who did her hair and me being unable to pick who it was out #of everyone that was working even though i'd been there with them for two plus hours.#or like. taking the school bus home and being unable to recognize my bus monitor and so getting on the wrong bus #and also getting ridiculed about this by my parents lol. ah good times.#on the other hand i can easily recognize a dog i've met once or twice even years later. and remember their name.#i think it all mostly comes down to disinterest for me. i've tried to change this but it's just how i am #so. he's very relatable. painfully so #also the pragmatism and rationality and hyperfixating on things.#i've never hyperfixated on another person tho and i am so grateful for that every single day #i know in my bones it would be an absolute disaster XD #withoutwords

#she knows what she did #her name is fluffy cuz when we were forstering her and her siblings we didn't want to gove them names in case we weren't keeping them #so we came up with nicknames such as Fluffy and Calico and Orange and Tabby and Mama #we only ended up keeping fluffy and calico #but we really couldn't decide on thematic names. so we gave up and kept the nicknames #i really wanted Nyx for cali and Bastet for fluff but nooooo. mom doesn't like one-syllable names #oh and i nicknamed mama Vanillabean because she's vanilla colored and a bean #but the names have stopped being their original stem #now it's Fluffers and Calibird #cali chirps like a bird so that's where that's from #she's also the embodiment of chaos which is why i wanted Nyx #i call Cali Calliope sometimes because i'm not giving up the theme. her chirps are vaguely musical so it counts i think #existenceunrelateds #cats #kittens #kitties #cats of tumblr
