This is a random question but do you and your boyfriend have some similarities and differences like your iterations and their reader? meaning like do you write your stories with certain personality traits that match you and your boyfriend? (Not like the toxic traits that your iterations have) 

yes!!! every single one of my iterations + my readers have bits and pieces of me within them: bmb's reader is pretty much all of my flaws shoved in one person and then amplified, touya-nii's reader is this very fragile, deep part of myself, tag's reader is me lmao, touya-nii's perfectionism mirrors my own, bmb dabi's love for classic sci-fi comes from my boyfriend, the majority of my iterations drinking black coffee comes from my boyfriend, all of their cocks look like his, all of my smut pulls from my own personal experiences in varying degrees (sometimes a little, sometimes a lot), etc etc. there are bits and pieces of each of us (and my other family members, and my best friends) scattered throughout my characters! <3

Okay guys but "is it really you standing there, or am I dreaming once more?" literally begs for a Penelope who decided to cope by pretending Odysseus was with her.

Penelope who wakes up every morning to kiss the bundle of pillows beside her because that's where he would've been if he was there. Penelope who glances over at Telemachus' cradle, no doubt something Odysseus carved himself, while she keeps record of how much he'd grown. Penelope who talks about her day to her imagined Odysseus, always at her side. Penelope who laughs at the quips he's not there to make, but knows he would. Penelope who talks the mirror through her outfit, because Odysseus would've been standing right there behind her. Penelope who's self aware enough to know that Odysseus is not there, but chooses to leave space at the table for him anyways. Penelope who doesn't take up the whole olive bed at night, even when Telemachus has a nightmare and comes to sleep next to her. Penelope who complains to her wedding ring as she adjusts her veil when the suitors start to arrive. Penelope who tells Telemachus everything Odysseus would have wanted to, in his stead. Penelope who tells herself she loves him every moment she can get to herself. Penelope who asks her beloved husband not to cry, while in tears herself. Penelope who asks nobody in particular for feedback on the shroud, knowing she'll undo it all later. Penelope who discusses The Challenge with him in detail before even thinking of announcing it.

I still can’t believe this shot.

This is LITERALLY Jonathan looking through the mirror and seeing himself through Mike and Will. They were actually crazy for this.

They said that the scene at the pizza place where Jonathan comforts Will was added last minute. The point of making Jonathan aware of byler wasn’t to get someone to comfort Will.

The real point was to make the viewer look at byler and see jancy. Because Jonathan is hearing Will say “she commissioned it” and hearing himself say “he asked me to take you home”. He’s been in this situation. He knows that Will is hurting because he remembers the hurt he experienced himself.

Jonathan was looking through a mirror. Not glancing or turning behind him. He looked through a MIRROR.

Some of Tee and Ja'Marr's thoughts on the Tee Situation

It's very easy to compare this situation to what Ja'Marr had at LSU with Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson. And Ja'Marr has said Tee is very different than Justin Jefferson. That every single minute with Justin Jefferson was a competition. That everything was who makes the more dynamic catch, who has more catches in practice, who runs faster? Everything was that way. Ja'Marr had to speak up and demand the ball a lot at LSU, because so was Justin. Ja'Marr told me that he doesn't have to do that in Cincinnati because Tee, and this is a quote from Ja'Marr, is one of the most unselfish humans you'll ever meet.

so im insane and looked at f0unt of knowledge's statues for too long and started thinking he had too many similarities to TK so... put them side by side and got this. hopefully my handwriting is legible lmfao

with ep7-8 of BY giving canon SM time manipulation capabilities, him manipulating/tormenting PV VERY similarly to how TK did with croiss, both being released on the 4th anni of their respective games, and his title screen theme sounding almost exactly like hers just less sharp (ik they r both waltzes and that would explain half of it but go listen to both of their themes and tell me the rhythm of it doesn't sound the same. you can't.) it's started making me think its gotta be intentional

i mean, we are confirmed to be getting TK in kingdom 2026, and SM having canon connections with her would explain a bit.. i can't say i understand why he has time magics on top of all his other abilities, but i guess PV did also unintentionally create a timeloop in the vanilla castle that lasted all the way up to castle in the sky (ep9 or 10?? i dont fully emember lol) so im safely assuming he was able to do that due to his connection to SM via the souljam.. but add TK's potential influence and both of them at least being aware of each other's existence canonically to the mix... cough cough "its only a matter of time" in WA's update 👀 (ty oomf for reminding me ab that ur getting so many treats)

with all the things i rambled about just now, i think they're bound to at least be intrigued by each other. but. ok ok, ill admit, i DO think they're inherently unhealthy. honestly same with any SM ship, and most including TK. these 2 aren't even close to normal or stable on their own, god forbid they're left alone in the same room together for even a second bc even idk what they'd do and im their self-proclaimed ceo.

but i can see TK looking down on SM/thinking she's better than him because he isn't capable of even half the things she's able to do w/ time, and essentially playing with him whenever she's given the opportunity to interact with him. engaging with SM solely for her own entertainment. challenging him to board games just to cheat her way to victory over and over again, watching him slowly go from being impressed with her to infuriated realizing it is LITERALLY impossible to win against her.

TK enjoys all the reactions she's able to get out of SM, and strives to get more, to crack new ones out of him. she decides she likes the show he puts on just for her, and decides she wants to see just how it will play out. no because she genuinely likes him of course. no, no, its allll for the entertainment. being able to watch him cling to such petty wants like the company she gives him even in her mild torment, or the occasional praise, and how he hides his disappointment and hurt on the days she opts not to show herself to him under his bravado. its fun watching a fallen god scramble for her attention in the way that he does, especially since that attention is often in the form of mockery/tricks/threats. its fun. HE'S fun. nothing more than that

i think im all yapped out for now... take 2 headcanons from me that idk if ive shared b4 because everyone needs timemilk duets beamed into their mind:

They like to dance as a passtime. Waltzing, usually, but they also tapdance^^. They've composed a few songs to sing together while they dance also - specifically for those waltzes - and the rhythm of their songs are always changing

TK has sent each of SM's detachable body parts (his arms, his legs, his head, etc etc) backwards in time at least once. Who knows where all of them have been...

It almost creates a greater sense of character growth within the narrator. From a less emotive and more cynical other worldly being to an expressive and more humanly being. non human characters growing a sense of humanity over the course of time and whatnot. ngl, it makes me crazy. I think about the comparison so much, it’s just such a fun way to interpret it

I have so many things to say about Ultraman Rising it’s insane

I’m choosing to talk about how the movie uses grief and it’s such an interesting way of handling it!

Almost every character in the film has grieved or is grieving in some aspect. And grieving doesn’t even need to mean death but just losing something.

For Kenji he’s grieving over his mother’s disappearance, his childhood lost without his father, and the fact at a young age he realized how cruel other kids were and began to put on a front that lasted well into adulthood.

Hayao’s essentially lost out on not only 20 years of being in his son’s life but also being apart from his wife. The family he was happy to create and love but it was ripped apart with the sacrifice of having to fulfill his duties as Ultraman. He was alone for 20 years.

The way the two handle grief is in different ways.

Hayao’s handling of it seems to be a lot more calmer, meditated and carefully thought of. Even if he couldn’t be in Kenji’s life physically, he collected every trophy and home video Emiko sent of his games. He was an absent father but he was a father nonetheless and why he kept his distance is still in the air but it’s so clear that he did try to be updated in his life as much as possible even if he was far away. And because of the fact he loved Kenji and wanted to protect him, it’d extend well past to adulthood where he didn’t even ask him for help in finding Emiko. Why should he ask his son to help when he’s moved away from a career he spent years building to take on the family hero role? Maybe if he finds her it’ll get Kenji to talk to him again. Maybe he should start himself but he has to find her first. But not once did he yell at Kenji.

Kenji’s is harsher and more self destructive. Purposely making himself aloof, putting on a front of being loud and arrogant, making sure he’s so untouchable no one would want to be friends with him or be close to him, all things as a response to the grief he’s felt. While Ami’s breakdown of him did imply he was always known for being this way, I can imagine it got much worse with Emiko’s disappearance. Mina said he did his best. He assumed he was the only one looking for her and he failed. So why bother being nice? Shove a photocard in a player’s hands that they might’ve sold on eBay anyway, yell at your dad for 20 years worth of pent up rage and feel like shit about it but don’t bother to try and fix it. And don’t bother to talk or ask for help from your teammates even at your lowest…it’s not gonna bring her back but being in control of something might bring in some semblance of normalcy.

however I think the one with the most destructive handling of grief is Dr. Onda. And while I agree with some criticism regarding him, I think he’s a perfect villain suited for this. And in some ways, he can be terrifying.

He lost his wife and daughter. He has no one. Unlike Kenji and Hayao where they at least had each other, he has no one.

Ultraman failed his family.

Ultraman failed him.

Ultraman still has his family.

He morphed the KDF’s structure as a result of that. Even throughout the movie he states how this isn’t what he would’ve wanted to do but he had to help families. To make sure no one goes through what he went through.

But he’s also manipulative about it.

He knows grief about losing his family to Kaijus better than anyone.

He knows that he’s not the only one. And Ultraman can’t save everyone even if they tried.

With grief you end up wanting to blame anything.

So Dr Onda chooses grieving people to work alongside him. Consistently throughout the movie he makes sure to bring up how they lost loved ones/family to Kaijus or how they have to think of their families. While we can gather he wasn’t intentionally being manipulative, at the end of the day he’s a widow who lost his family, there’s no doubt about it he’s at least aware of the impact of bringing it up.

Even when there was some doubt over how the KDF began handling Kaijus, especially when it’s shown how sentient they are with their own culture, affection and love, Dr. Onda makes sure to bring up their own families. Forget how this Kaiju is clearly protected her daughter, your own families are more important.

He’s a perfect mix of how Kenji and Hayao handle grief and shows how destructive it can be.

Using the opposite of Hayao’s handling of grief and mixing it with Kenji’s creates such a manipulative monster of grief. We can argue that he has good intentions, that he just wants Japan to be safe and for families to not lose a loved one, but the movie now presents an interesting debate of why one species is so much more important than the other. Dr. Onda, in his own grief, chooses to brush aside that for the sake of trying to do something he couldn’t do earlier for his family. Even if it means trying to kill ultraman and his son.

At the end of the day nothing he does will bring them back. But he has to hope that despite trying to tear two families apart, he’ll save everyone for the greater good. And if he dies, no one will really grieve for him because he doesn’t have anyone. So he might as well die trying.
