But in this case.... it's entirely Fyodor's plan. Chuuya was using his ability only to the minimum. I mean, that kind of dent can probably be made with a gun too idk, and Fyodor must have got Chuuya to do it because he wanted the damage to be done as silently as possible to avoid attention,,

ONE CORRECTION: after reading the actual translation, I realize that the dent was not for the water to flow out but for the door to close incorrectly and leave an opening large enough for them in case they are trapped. (This part is still a bit confusing for me but from what I understand, he is saying that the doors take a bit of time to close from a fully open state because they are supposed to close very tight and so, they had enough time to make the dent in the floor that didn't let the doors close correctly)

also, Chuuya uses Gravity Manipulation here too for a bit, to direct their movements sideways and escape from the door.

Well, yes that too, but it doesn't really change what I said in the original post. The core idea of the escape plan was still the damage to the threshold/rails of the door, which is Fyodor's idea, sneaky like him. That's the only reason they could escape from the sealed room. Otherwise both of them would have drowned, gravity user and all.

Yet, he frames it as if all of their escape happened because Dazai didn't have a deep bond with his gravity manipulator partner of 7 years.... which has... what exactly to do with anything lmao

um, excuse me, but the gravity manipulator you mention really did NOT stop the flood hello? all you guys did was escape the flood like what are you even talking about??

So, Fyodor is not only trying to rile up Dazai by insulting him as well as Twin Dark but also diverting his attention to Chuuya and his ability from himself.

Which is why I believe (contrary to most of the fandom's view since this chapter came out that underestimating their bond is going to be Fyodor's downfall), Fyodor knows exactly that their bond is not as shallow as he claims (he was right there during the Dead Apple, he has to be an utter idiot to mean what he says after seeing that spectacle) and he still has many more happy plans up his sleeve :)

actually, Fyodor saying that--

surprised, not by the flooding, but by the fact that Dazai and his 7-year partner's bond was so shallow that Dazai think Chuuya's ability cannot deal with that flood // @/popopretty

--is surprising to me because Chuuya didn't really do... much for them to escape.

You see, this wasn't an incorrect fact:

Dazai is right, the walls are anti-ability and we see this in action too: (this most probably was a part of Fyodor's plan to throw Dazai off-guard and make him think that his plan was working)

Yes, Chuuya's ability doesn't work on the walls. Dazai didn't underestimate him or his ability. He looked at the facts and gave his opinions. (That's why I think his words in BSD 101 were also true, he must have really believed that Chuuya was going to drown because he had no way of knowing that Fyodor was gonna pick him for a pawn)

Getting Chuuya to break the threshold between every door was Fyodor's idea.

And it doesn't even seem like a big deal to break the threshold; it hardly took the power of a finger for Chuuya. (and no more than a slight dent in the floor should be enough for the water to flow out)

So.... why is he talking about their trust and bond and all if not to simply rile up Dazai?? It's Fyodor that Dazai should have kept an eye on (and still needs to) because once again, this conjurer is misdirecting his attention to his 'stronger' assistant here while the actual trick was all Fyodor's.

notice how the oneshots are exactly word-for-word except for the title and synopsis? even the author's note is exactly the same. obviously i can't fit the whole thing here, but this should be enough.

but yeah! just wanted to let yall know out there, especially since the plagiarized works have already gained some traction and have 100+ notes on them. i've talked about them vaguely on my blog before, so if this sounds familiar, yeah this is them.

plagiarism is shitty, i shouldn't have to say that. it is not that hard to just write your own stuff. i know validation and publicity make you feel good, but stealing someone else's hard work is not the way to go. writers already have enough to deal with. just don't do it. what's the point of getting validation if it's not even your work?

again, don't send death threats, please. that's a bit far, and they likely won't even do anything since the plagiarizer has already been called out before and this was their response.

Because it was bugged as hell with tblr always telling me it needs a mature label. Now telling immediately 13 minutes after posting my repost anew it needs a community label (mature already been selected from the start). I selected sexual themes now as well. If this does not work now I'm giving up and if you wanna see such pics then you gotta have to write me on discord. I'm just really really done with this here and I'm already trying hard to sound 'normal'. I cannot understand how this side finds it so horribly sexual, like I'm sortry that Ry has such pretty legs and he likes to show himself like that – there's stuff worse to find over here than this set.

I am honest: I forgot to select mature when posting it back then (sorry I'm just human, Brudi – my brain is often tired af and sometimes I forget simple stuff like this), two weeks later I got the notification it needs a label, so I edited it afterwards but the button didn't vanish at all. you sound bitter bc the “art stealer” is getting more notes on posts than you. I know them irl. they also don’t claim the art as theirs, they’re just sharing it on this platform. the artwork they are posting is all over the internet, mainly Pinterest, without any indication who the artist is. they give credit when they know who the artist is. they literally changed the post to include credit as soon as you gave them the original artist’s instagram handle, despite you claiming that they did nothing.

I am aware that I sound very bitter. I am allowed to. You're saying that I am not allowed to feel bad or bitter when I see someone steal, and get interactions on their stolen posts? And yes, in this case they have reached higher notes than most of mine. But when I called this out the first time, they didn't, the elmax art had just around 100 and this el one had 14 notes.

I have seen stolen art on the Byler tag before that got zero notes. ZERO. And that also made me want to call that person out. I didn't, but I still think about digging up that post and doing it. So I don't know what to tell you, art theft makes me mad every time, but yes, in this instance the amount of notes has a part in my actions. Because now it's not just about the op deleting the post, because that doesn't delete it from this platform completely. It will stay here as long as there are reblogs of it.

You're really trying to justify art theft? Art theft is never justified. Just because the art has been stolen several times already and is all over pinterest as you say, DOES NOT make it okay for more people to be spreading it around. I highly doubt any artist posts their art on pinterest, (my art has been posted there and it was terrible) so it is safe to assume that if you find art on pinterest it is already stolen.

And just like op you're trying to justify art theft by saying, they don't claim it as their own. They only wanted to share it to this platform, you say? And that isn't stealing? When it's still posted without the artist knowing or conseting? Interesting. Well, that's not cool. It's not right. It is not justified, and it's still stealing, no matter what you say.

And you also say there's no indication to who the artist is. (You're also using the exact wording as the op did in DMs. I'm not gonna say it but I'm thinking it) The elmax art had the artist handle right in the middle of it. You call that "no indication"?

Also it took me about two minutes to figure out the original artists and to find the original posts. So it really is not that hard to find them. And if you can't, then don't post it. And even if you do, still don't repost other people's art because they aren't consenting to it. This is what the elmax art had in the description. Doesn't seem like your friend even checked out the artist after I told them who it is.

And fine, I admit saying they did nothing is not completely true. I was going to bed and trying not to ramble in the tags of that post. I'm sorry that I spread misinformation like that. They did do something, they added the artist credit to the description. But as we already established, that artist doesn't allow reposts. And also, if you don't know how tumblr works editing the original post after there are reblogs, only edits the original post, not the reblogs. So now there are reblogs of that art with no credit floating around tumblr.

Honestly I know that reasoning with people who have stolen art never works. My art has been stolen on Instagram and for two years I have asked for it to be taken down(yes the repost has more likes then mine, I am allowed to feel bad about that). I just really wish it never happened in the first place but the world can't be that perfect now can it?

I personally don't really know how to feel abt this, bc I also consume a ton of animal animanga content, do enjoy some of the more gorey series, but I wasn't aware that such an acclaimed title was in fact questionable to this extent. I do think that it's probably safe to say that their opinions are based on the r15 version since it was even televised and seems to be deemed by the general public as the only version. I wouldn't be surprised if they watched it bc it is popular and didn't dive deeper into it, but then its a rather unfortune case of ignorance. Just to be clear, I'm not trying to defend or go easy on them just bc I like most of those idols; it's just that I think there are more aspects to consider rather than throwing around such serious accusations (which Im not saying youre doing, its abiut naming them p*dos). Also, think it would be nice if you included at least the abbreviation of the anime title in the bullet point list post bc at first I was really confused. Thanks for the research!

thank you for the further context about woozi, i am not really at all deep into the svt fandom or anything so i didn't know where all to look to find information on it! i do think people are bringing things up for the wrong reasons, and there was a lot of misinformation spread perhaps done intentionally i truly don't know, and truly there is a limit to what we know about the censored version of the show in sk. if it was broadcast on tv, i would like to believe that it could not be broadcast with any sort of gross or harmful undertones to it, but i also just don't know to that extent.

what i personally think is important now and moving forward is that people become aware of what is questionable and wrong about the series both in anime and manga. the argument of "well he didn't recommend it really!" is getting a bit tired because that isn't the core of the issue and not what the focus should be. anime fans and manga fans are already shitting bricks over this saying it's ridiculous that kpop stans find the content of the show and manga concerning, which can't be helped and their opinions likely won't ever be changed if they're defending it so staunchly. in the case of ignorance, we can only hope that talking about concerns will be heard and understood. i added the title and abbreviation of the anime title in the tags of the original bullet point list, since so many versions of it have been reblogged and since i reblogged it to add onto it, any changes made to the post won't show in those reblogged versions ><

The way I've witnessed the many changes for Rock Me's posting date is so funny i can't----

yeahhh, i should probably make a statement about this...

i keep overestimating my ability to complete something quick enough to the point where i leave it as is after it's released. idk how long you've been following me but i almost always post things that i edit and proofread in the days following their initial release. ik it's frustrating and annoying, and i'm frustrating and annoying as a writer but i don't want to post this and not be content with the way it is like i've done so many times before. i don't want to go back and do the editing and then reblog it again saying something like "+2k more words added to it, don't hate me you guys!" and i don't think anyone wants that either. i want ROCK ME to be done done, not messy and in need of revising. and what's more, i want to be proud of it.

like i've said many times before, i didn't plan on it being this fucking long what's wrong w me ?? like the narrative wasn't supposed to take place over 2 months, nor was it supposed to be my longest slow burn fic ever (i'm estimating around 24k words but who knows?) yet as i kept writing, i couldn't help but expand upon what i thought up originally for the outline.

so yes, it's very, very funny. ha.ha.ha. and so are the other asks i've received telling me to "fucking post rock me already" or "i'm unfollowing you bc you lied about rock me and i bet it won't even be worth the wait" and many others that sound relatively similar to that.

to those waiting for ROCK ME to be released: please be patient with me. fanfiction writers like me are not obligated to write or post anything. i'd say about 99% of us do this for free as a hobby.

over the past week and a half, i've been setting aside at least an hour of my time everyday to work on writing so i can eventually post for you guys. i've written +13k words within the last 7 days. some of those days i've cranked out up to +4k words, while others i've only managed to type 200 because i'm stuck or i'm short for time. but the continuous pressure to post is nearly pushing me out the door.

i don't mean to sound rude here, that's not my intention by any means. i just want to let readers know that i've been working really hard on this. i'm sorry for disappointing some of you by not following through with the dates i said i would post but please understand i have other things going on in my life and i made a mistake with my estimates that i regret giving in the first place. believe me, i'm bummed i haven't finished this either.

i appreciate all of you who read through this long ask. i really hoped this won't sound like a rant but it kind of does, so i guess i'm sorry about that too. i truly hope you like ROCK ME when it is posted!

Well...

If in the course of the next 9 days some of you should wonder why i don't post any new content and also no Likes or Reblogs...that's only because i'll be on vacation tomorrow. The only stupid thing is that my smartphone won't work there at all...and the stupidest thing about it is that i'll probably miss the F2 trailer and your reactions to it. Shit!

I had already prepared a text for the "trailer day", which i would have posted together with the link to the video. Now i probably can forget that.

So when i'm back, i'll scroll my dashboard down for 10 minutes - blindly! Then i work my way back up, post for post and imagine "the trailer is coming out today, it should be ready any moment now".

Well, I know it won't be the same, but somehow it's like a soccer game you've recorded: the result is already fixed, but i want to experience the tension from the first to the last minute.

The only drawback: everything is already said, new theories maybe already worked out, screencaps, edits and gifs already finished and so many new fanfics that it might take me a week to read them all. Then what more do I want to post? Shit!

Being there "live" is always better than digging up old stuff, the hype is still fresh and everyone is excited. Fandom at it's best! I can't imagine what it was like when Frozen first part came out and how the fandom reacted to it. Sure I can search the "archives" on Tumblr for the old posts, but that's no comparison. If only i had been there six years ago. Shit!

But hey...it's "only" a trailer and in November i'll be there from the beginning, here in the middle of the fandom, there will be "history written" again. Hooray! Assuming i survive the premiere night in the cinema! :-(

So that I am not completely without "Frozen" stuff the next few days, i've copied already the most beautiful pictures and the last videos (teaser, promo video) onto my smartphone. And...of course...i have the last portaits of Elsa and Anna set as new start screen and background on my phone. LOL.

Anyway...i’ll try to check for the new trailer if i can find a spot where my smartphone have a connection to the net. If so, then maybe i can post something here...but i guess not.

Same anon as before -first off I don't give a rat's ass about specific movies like Ghost in the Shell, and *cultural appropriation* is not what I talked about so why do you even bring that up in response to my ask? And I personally DO support shows/movies with good Asian-American roles, but they're SO FEW. You can't argue that 'OMG THEY EXIST CHILLAX' because one role versus two thousand roles is not representation. My problem is with taking roles and representation away not cultural approp.

idk, I listed the first five that came to mind but there’s more of them. also I don’t particularly care whether you do (I also do btw), I care that most people don’t, so going like ‘japanese americans or chinese americans are damaged by bad representation’ when people in general don’t care about those shows or throw the asian characters under the bus and it’s always complaining about ONE thing vocally (ie scarjo or finn j0nes) rather than promoting shows that have asian characters (have I ever seen any post promoting fresh off the boat in my life? nah I just know from three gifsets reblogged by europeans). like, if someone complains and then doesn’t support, which is the destiny of 90% of the shit discussed on tumblr since everything I watch with minorities that’s done well gets ignored or canceled. aha. there won’t be more if people complain about everything rather than watching it. without even going into asian americans... people wanted the peggy carter show for years, they got it, they complained about lack of nonwhite characters and din’t watch it, in S2 they did what fandom wanted and quality plummeted (I couldn’t even finish it) and it didn’t get renewed. it’s exactly the same story. you can’t expect majors to make more shows with asian characters if whenever they make them they tank. it’s not the point that there’s little of them. it’s that you will never have more of them if you don’t watch what little there is as imperfect as it is.

like, it’s basic capitalism. it’s the principle of demand/offer. if you demand and they offer but you don’t take what they offer then they won’t offer, if they know they’ll make sure cash off white actors. and you might not be the problem but the majority of people complaining about this shit who then doesn’t put their money where their mouth is is a problem. amazing, innit?

I can argue that if you watch that one role vs two thousand and you make the producers know that it’s a winning strategy then it’s going to become five roles every thousand and then ten every thousand and so on. if you don’t support what you have then you can’t complain you don’t get any. it’s some representation. start caring about it. it’s the same discourse as ‘I have to headcanon character X that I like as lgbt because representation’ when the fandom has another five lgbt characters who aren’t as cool or hip and get ignored because they aren’t the protagonists. good lord, go complain about this to the bunch of people from the 1*00 fandom who sends bob m0rley racist crap and excludes that bellamy can be the romantic lead, not to me. because if when you have an asian (or half-asian) man as the romantic lead and the show tanks or the guy gets racist backslash and their character gets vilified is not exactly the nicest way to go about it, isn’t it? I’m not even saying chillax. I’m saying that when they exist ppl don’t care so it’s really fucking ridiculous they complain about whitewashing when they don’t support what they have.

You do realize that the moment you say that ‘it doesn’t hurt japanese or chinese or koreans or what have you but japanese/chinese/korean-americans so their opinion doesn’t matter’ you’re... basically superimposing your values over theirs because it implies that their opinion is worth something but their opinion is more worthy, which is a thing that is inherently appropriative since it means that you have more right over their roles than them.

anyway, whenever people on tumblr complain about that shit, as above, white people appropriating culture by whitewashing characters is a thing that happens 99% of the time, so.

also, as stated, just mentioning the last two fiascos: with ghost in the shell as the other user who reblogged this with the addendum the movie itself was appropriative and a bad idea because it wouldn’t have worked with anyone but the japanese so an X-american playing scarjo’s role would still have been appropriative/incorrect. in iron fist the main character was white already so there’s no taking rep away, and the problem is that it’s culturally appropriative that he does martial arts and a bunch of other things, too bad that the chinese don’t care but their opinion doesn’t matter. so whose representation got taken away since they didn’t *whitewash* anyone else in that show? who even fucking knows. also: taking away roles from asian-americans means that you are adapting something and changing the characters’ ethnicity because if something’s taken away then it had to belong to someone in the first place. if white actors TAKE AWAY a role from an asian then the original role is asian and the white actor plays it (like scarjo in theory), but like then it means you’re adapting something. and if you’re adapting someone asian then having asian-americans in it is not the same thing at all. now the asians themselves don’t care so whatever but you can’t just go and say that it’s the same fucking thing all around. and if we’re talking original things you need more people to write roles created for asians or blind cast more asians, but in neither of these cases white actors are TAKING AWAY ROLES FROM ASIANS. I mean, it can work with death note because it’s taking a japanese story that makes no sense anywhere else and putting it in america and at this point having japanese-americans would have been way better than the shit going on now -

also, anon, I don’t know if you guessed already, but let’s just state it for everyone to hear: I’m here for fandom. I get a lot of traffic for things that aren’t fandom. I’ve been here since 2011. this whole social justice fail has been going on since at least 2013 if not before. I’ve tried the nice-to-everyone approach and given that half of the time it doesn’t work, that half of the time it gets me wank (not as much as it could but still some) and in rare cases it gives me enough anon hate/idiots in the askbox that would wear anyone’s patience thin. given that in 2014/2015 I wasn’t working sort of steadily but last year I was and this year I am and I’m more tired and older and with a lot less time for bullshit, if you come out with a fairly condescending message that’s sprouting one of the most dumb hypocritical things that US tumblr has ever managed to come up with, I’m not gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you didn’t want to start a fight because I stopped giving the benefit of the doubt the time last year when I was trying to be extra nice to someone and honestly ask them for clarification about a thing I didn’t know and I got, uhm, six hours of people being assholes, some really fucking low anon hate that ten years ago would have sent me into a full week of existential crisis and I had to block like, 100 people in one hour.

I have no time whatsoever to waste giving people the benefit of the doubt especially when they dump US-centric crap into my inbox, because ‘X’s opinions on X’s culture is less relevant when it’s all about X-americans’ is US-centric crap.
