Here’s my advice as someone who constantly draws Luke Skywalker:

I recommend focusing on his most unique features when stylizing Luke’s face. Mark Hamill has very uniquely shaped lips, try focusing on replicating those at first.

His nose is also pretty unique and I find that drawing that first helps set me up for drawing the rest of his face (if that makes any sense…?) also I feel like half of the time what really makes or breaks my Luke drawings is the hair and the dimpled chin.

Try to sketch some realistic studies of his face to familiarize yourself with all the shapes/proportions as well! I have a lot of studies of his face in the early days of my 2021 sketchbook and that was very helpful for me when I was first getting into Star Wars fanart.

Most importantly try not to feel discouraged. It’s always frustrating trying to replicate a face in your own style, especially when it’s Luke’s!

"i would make this art but i can't draw" just do it. "but im bad at art" no such thing. "it wouldn't look as good as i want it to" maybe not, but draw it anyway, and draw another thing you want, and keep drawing things you want, and eventually you will be able to go back to that thing and maybe someday draw it the way you want.

that's the thing about art. it's a practice.

The only thing I want from the Japanese LITA is for the diary scene to actually feel fucked up. I absolutely believe Japan can do that and it would make me so happy if that scene felt like the characters just... being so fucked up and messed up and everything like that because Japan can do fucked up like no one else. If they let that scene be truly dark and manipulative and scary... goddamn, I'd love it.

Not a question or anything but I just wanted to say you’ve inspired me to write ever since I read your a03 fic “a little death”. The way you write your fics feels like I’m reading poetry in a way even if I only read the smut lmaodkvsgsgd

But again your writing is beautiful and I started writing my own fics but I don’t write as much as you do cause holy I get burn out easy 😭 the way you interpret aki in your fics actually feels like him and not a mischaracterization. I aspire to write as good as you love your fan fics 💕

ugh i had this whole gay awakening in college after being repressed forever but im stupid and lazy and never actually bothered to try to find a bf or even hook up regularly and now im 24 and Old and i've still never even dated. idk should i just give up and focus on trying to do grad school or is queer stuff still worthwhile even when you're basically 30 already?

Aww first of all 24 is still young! Second, it's never too late to explore if you want to! I get that there's a societal clock we all feel pressure to conform to for when we "should" hit certain milestones, but at the end of the day, it's your life and you get to choose how you want to dedicate your time/energy. If that means exploring your sexuality now or trying to do grad school or doing both simultaneously (they're not mutually exclusive!), then so be it.

I first had my "bi awakening" in middle school and explored it lightly in high school, coming out only to a couple people in-person and a handful online (Note: At the time, I was living in a hyper-conservative household in Alabama). It truly wasn't until college for me where I felt more independent and comfortable enough to explore more openly. And I'm still growing and exploring in new ways now at 27 and living in NYC!
