I was recommended to listen to this artist called Yaelokre a while ago. Got around to it last night before bed. Very nice music! However, I don't think I should've listened before bed, because I had a weird-ass dream. I was sitting on top of a huge, empty ferry in the open ocean with my friend, and a massive orca below us in the water. My friend was - not my friend? Hard to explain, but I knew it was my friend, but they looked like the goat person from the Yaelokre album art. Google says their name is Clémentine. We were sitting there, and all of a sudden my friend/Clémentine turned to me and said "We can't stay here any longer". I replied, confused "What?" and they said "It's time to leave". Then the orca swallowed the boat whole, and I woke up. So, tl;dr: Amazing music, really it is very good. Sadly it appears to induce ominous dreams in me for some unknown reason. I will keep listening despite this.

And I agree with most of the points made, but one thing I never see brought up is how the launcher homescreen has gone from this

Something that was so simple, and listed everything they added. This was literally the way I knew everything they added back then. It was that easy.

To this...

This is just so... Much. Literally just advertising everywhere it feels so riddled with crap. And to find a list of anything they added you have to scroll through this for miles

Most of which is either shit no one cares about or "bugs fixed" when you click on update 1.20.51.678.9, until you eventally manage to click on the one that actually tells you anything useful about the update.

It was literally perfect, simple, and right there. Told you everything you needed to know. Now its just so loud and overwhelming and dare I say corporate rubbish. It's not just the updates themselves that are overwheling and just a lot, but then it's made even harder when you can't even find a list of anything added and I am just not going to scroll through all of that. It took so so much scrolling to find anything useful and it did not feel good :/

I don't hate the game, I've been loving this game since 2011, I enjoy playing the new updates with friends from time to time despite my grievences. But that's why I'm pissed about this. I hate the launcher and useful information being swapped out for being aggressively advertised a game that I literally already have. It doesn't feel cozy anymore playing this game and it is a shame. It feels like seeing something so comfortable from my childhood/teen years being trampled on for maximum profit.

I got out of the shower and came up with a better idea for a Minecraft movie in five minutes compared to the literally ten years it took for this shit to be made.

Steve lives in a villages of other Minecraftians. There’s a king and his loyal lackeys who enforce very strict rules.

Houses need to look a very specific way and only exist on land that you “own”. No recreational building or other activities, only work. Pay the king your fair share of taxes but his lackeys and business owners are totally tax exempt especially the potion maker clergy. Break any of these rules and you’re exiled. Oppressive and subtly capitalist monarchy shit like that, nobody questions it, Steve thinks he’s living the best life ever.

One day a hunting trip goes wrong as night falls and Steve gets attacked by a creeper and lost in a cave. He’s stuck in there for days but he eventually finds a way out and is greeted with a utopian city. The food is bountiful for everyone he has his first golden apple and it tastes just as good as his fellow miners say around the campfire. The city is beautiful and unique and technologically advanced. Every building is distinct and diverse and infused with the personality of its maker. Work takes up only a small portion of the day as most people have their basic needs met by those who can provide. It’s a socialist/communist utopia with no king and no hyper strict rules. Steve runs back home to tell his friends and the king soon finds out as word spreads and this inevitably sparks some kind of conflict.

A war ensues, people flee to the utopian city and the king finds a way to ally himself with the monsters of the night to create a near Infinite army to attack the utopia and dominate the world.

In the end through the power of everyone working together as equals they defeat the monsters and the king and people are free to build and create and explore as they please.

Boom and I didn’t even need to lean on the “defeat the ender dragon” or “defeat the wither” quests to make a compelling and uniquely minecraftian story. It’s not perfect and it probably could never get approved by a big budget studio for its subtly political themes but I think it’s far beyond better than what little we’ve seen of the trailer

Streamer!Jinx headcanons.

Just some basic ideas and drabbles pooled into one post. I see a lot of streamer!ellie and streamer!vi, but barely any jinx if any at all. I don’t know, I just think she’d be the funniest streamer ever.

CW: Cursing? bits of Jinx x f!reader. jokes about jinx being cancelled, homophobia mentions.

Streamer!Jinx who got surprised when she blew up pretty fast. For the wrong reasons, Ofcourse (controversy, because she can’t keep her mouth shut), but once it smoothed over she gained a lot of following from it.

She has no filter. None. The second something pops into her head, she says it aloud. She deals with the consequences afterwards.

Her room is either really messy, or oddly tidy. On that note, Streamer!Jinx that decorated her whole setup and desk, plus her headphones. They’re all covered in scribbles and spraypaint.

Streamer!Jinx that sometimes manages to convince you to play on stream with her, addressing you as a close friend to keep you both comfortable and safe online.

She constantly says “chat” and “gang”, even when she’s not streaming. Vi and Ekko pick up on it and comment on it frequently, using it to tease her.

Rages at Minecraft. 100%. She joined MCC, just to ragequit half way through because her team was in dead last. Her chat watched her leave the server and walk out of her room on the webcam. She had to take a whole 15 minuet break and come back with a cup of coffee to calm down.

She would start a Minecraft hardcore series just to hide in a hole as soon as it turns night, before logging off and never returning.

She got cancelled for homophobia once, because she went on a 'just chill and talk' live about how she didn’t approve of Caitlyn and Vi being together. It got taken the wrong way and had to explain that she’s infact Queer with a girlfriend. She defended herself with "Guys, I’m literally dating.." after she revealed your relationship, and then went on a rant sesh about you. She’s the biggest yapper ever.

Her twitch account got banned or suspended once because she got so mad at a kid on Fortnite that she cursed him out and went overboard. (Again, she has no filter).

She mainly plays Minecraft and gun games. But sometimes she’ll do longer lives for charity where she’ll play the chat’s top pick.

She accidentally showed your face on stream once, forgetting to tell you her webcam was on. You didn’t realise until later that day there were edits of you on your own fyp or twitter TL. "Babe, you might wanna see this.."

Jinx still gets confused whenever she sees an edit of herself. Also, she has a public favourite folder of edits of you. She doesn’t know how to edit it to make it private.

Once you got comfortable showing your face on webcam, Jinx hosted a “do my hair and Q&A” stream where you braided and brushed her hair while you both answered questions. Any excuse to spend time with you at the same time as working.
