I think tumblr ate the ask after I answered it but someone asked why my charms were priced higher now, so I wanted to answer it again and show a little timelapse!

while looking around at all the cons I went to and comparing to my peers + their online shops, I realized I was undercharging for the amount of work I do for my charms, especially when I'm usually drawing two designs per charm to make the backside different and spending a lot of time rendering each one :'>

2024 art summary... where most of the spots are blank haha. This year I really wasn't feeling it so I only drew when I had to. I'm actually kind of surprised I drew as much as I did, especially if I include the pieces that don't make it into this summary. 🤔

Hello! This is David-de-Bergerac, and I wanted to just do a small little update for newer people who might be like "this dude doesn't post a lot" and yeah for that I'm sorry. Life has been doing what life do, and it's been hard to concentrate. I want to get back to doing this every once in a while though, at least somewhat more consistently. Mostly my time has been taken up by these goobers

So you know, that's how it's been. Basically, when I have time, and the brain, I'll make new posts here.

While I want to say "hey if you want to help take care of these cats too I have a tip jar" I think tumblr took that away from me so just go check out my youtube because I'm working on stuff for over there too and maybe ad revenue can help us afford food and vet visits for these goobers.

I totally agree with the general consensus that Ringo provided a lot of emotional support and coolheadedness to the other beatles to the point where they'd have probably killed each other without him but I do also wonder sometimes how much of that is being supernaturally patient and easygoing and how much of it is Ringo just having a tumultuous and isolated childhood where he was never taught to recognize and assert his own emotional needs so he became a blank slate on which others could process their emotions

(And tbh I also wonder how an inability to access or assert his feelings may have contributed to his tendency to process pain by numbing himself and the pretty shitty way he treated women)

Wow this year has flown by. I can't believe it's nearly 2024 already! But you know what end of the year means: my 2023 summary of art! This doesn't include anything from November-December because most of the stuff I was working on was either for work or 2024 projects so I can't show them yet...

But still!! My goal for this year was to draw more than I did last year, and I think I reached that goal so I'm pretty satisfied with my progress overall! Here's to hoping that I can draw more and keep improving next year!

Anyway, thanks to everyone who follows my Tumblr here, I really appreciate all the support and the various tags you guys leave on my posts. Thank you! I hope you all have a lovely new year and that 2024 will be filled with happiness and good health for everyone!
