Thinking about an obsessive, devoted Mind who’s trying his best to keep Whole alive and thriving. A robotic Mind who believes his only purpose in life is to keep his host living and therefore often goes to the extreme.

He doesn’t understand what his host is going through, not entirely at least, fighting an uphill battle and getting frustrated with himself and their vessel for not being fixable.

A Mind that refuses to give up, constantly pushing Whole to his limit in an attempt to save him. A Mind that beats himself up over this, instead of asking for help he just digs himself deeper in this ideology. If this isn’t helping them then maybe he just needs to up the anti, maybe he needs to sacrifice everything. He’s going farther than ever before, pushing the boundaries until they snap and is possibly going a bit mad in the process.

Eventually Mind breaks, either finally realizing Whole is unfixable this way and that he’s failed his only objective, or he’s forced to face Wholes mortality and that flicks a switch in his brain.

A Mind who completely breaks down, unable to process these emotions and becomes hyperaware of everything ‘bad’ he’s ever done. He realizes he’s the one killing them, all he can hear are the words failure over and over again.

I’d do anything for you, I did everything for you but I could never be enough. I’m the one hurting us. I failed you.

A devoted Mind who cradles his vessel with as much tenderness and care he can muster, holding him close and silently begging for forgiveness while also struggling to even understand what he’s feeling.

Maybe it’s too late, maybe it’s just in time. But he fucked up regardless, I don’t think he could never let that go.

Do you have any headcanons for Tumblebrutus and Pouncival? It doesn't matter if they are silly, they are too

they are silly, that's for sure! atm I have a better grasp on their personalities and their relationships with the other cats than I do their backstories, but I know at least that Tumblebrutus is domesticated, whereas Pouncival never lived with any humans.

I'm working with the idea that Tumblebrutus started feeling neglected when his human suddenly left one day (might have had something to do with the war) when he was barely old enough to be independent. he either was turned over to a neighbor, or he sits in an essentially abandoned flat, but is occasionally visited by the aforementioned neighbor who promised to intermittently check on him/replenish his food. he escaped in search of reprieve from isolation, eventually encountering the Jellicles. dealing with abandonment and involuntary solitude is part of the reason he's on the touchy side; he's a lot slower to truth than any of the other kittens.

But then one day, while wandering London, he ran into a solitary Pouncival! I'm thinking either he was the lone survivor of his litter, or otherwise became separated from his family one way or another. the most charitable scenario is that he wandered away on his own and got lost. but in any case, when Tumble found him, Pouncival "pounced" (hehe) on the opportunity to make a new friend/sibling! and their markings are kind of similar so clearly it was meant to be! Tumble, aloof as he is, intended to return to his regularly scheduled activities alone...but Pouncival insisted on following him. He did seemingly everything to worm his way into Tumble's heart...nuzzling, purring, prolonged eye contact, etc, never relenting, even after multiple rejections...

Finally Pounce's persistence paid off and Tumble resigned himself to his fate. Sure enough, when he returned to the junkyard, little Pounce was in tow! and now they're best friends <3

ugh this is so pathetic and embarrassing but. it might be helpful to me if people would tag horror movie content with 'horror' or 'horror movie' or 'horror film' or something. because unfortunately seeing a still image of a horror movie monster or body horror scene, or a gif of the guy from saw swinging a bloody hand down to implicitly cut off his offscreen leg or whatever even though onscreen he's just swinging his arm, or even just an overly zippy horror movie poster or overly descriptive sentence about the content of a horror movie, does in fact often cause me to get so stressed out and compulsively miserable that i cry

[ETA: sufficiently non-explicit/non-tone-preserving joke content, like the Thursday the 12th meme that has a picture of jason in the store, is fine. my line is weird and hard to articulate but "does this preserve the tone of the horror movie or is it ridiculous/an obvious joke" is a reasonable way to delineate things i might benefit from tagging vs things that won't bother me.

also like. i made it sound very bad but it's not actually such a huge deal for things that aren't "this is literally a gif of a horror movie" so if you would like to make the question you ask yourself "is this literally a gif of a horror movie" you will already be solving most of my problems]

my parents, enraged that I didn’t sort a massive mound of clothes yesterday (after doing the other chores they asked), essentially decided they are going to start charging me rent.

So this is just in preparation for that moment when they do start asking. I’m still trying to save up to move out. It’s not a huge deal yet (idk how much they’re going to charge) so there’s no pressure to donate.

I work a full time job so I can’t really give much in return. But I can take doodle requests upon proof of donation! I’ll doodle any DCA you want.
