#i am freezing my ass off #wearing all the warm clothes and blankets with the space heater going #its not as cold as it gets in other parts of canada #but its about ten degrees colder than the lowest we usually get

#my sister keeps leaving to window open at night #it’s fucking winter #i am freezing my ass off #even if I close it before she goes to bed she’ll open it back up #and if I go to sleep first then it doesn’t get shut at all #I’m gonna cry I hate being cold #there’s a difference between a cool breeze and winter at midnight #my house already has a shitty heating system #she also keeps putting stuff over the vent #so even less heat is getting in #I’m not shutting you when I say I sleep with five blankets #one is even heated and another is weighted #i started wearing fucking socks to bed #not just any socks #I’m wearing muk luks #those slipper socks??#i have like six pairs because again I hate being cold #but do you understand how bad it has to be for me to wear fucking socks to bed #pondhead rambles #and yes I’ve asked her to stop #multiple times #I’m gonna cry it’s so cold

it is barely 8 am and the univer is t e s t i n g me i SWEAAAAAAR

#first i have to be up at 4am to take my dad to the airport #then i get home with an hour and 10 mins left before i have to go to work but i can't go back to sleep bc i already got ready #and i wont have time to REget ready #THEN i get to work and cannot get onto my laptop bc theres something funky with the docking station that gives me battery power and internet #THEN once i get IT to help me with that #my normal desktop computer FREEZES while i am in the MIDDLE of working on this document #and thankfully it wasnt long since the last time i hit save but STILL #so i shut my computer off EXCEPT AT FIRST IT GIVES ME THE STUPID ASS 'DRAG THIS DOWN TO SHUT OFF PC' BUT HELLO ITS FROZEN I CANT DRAG SHIT #so i figured out how to shut it off #and i finally got it shut off but then i turn it back on and. the screen is still black #so i go bug the IT guys again and i bring one back to my desk but the second we get there OF COURSE the screen has reloaded #except i didnt completely waste his time bc it was STILL frozen #he fixed it thankfully #BUT JFC NO MORE #GIVE ME A BREAK PLEASE #mack rambles

one of the things im sorta struggling with in getting back into cosplay is finding time to work on fashion projects. i love making clothes so much, but ive wanted to have some costumes im really proud of & those just take. so much time to work on. and by the time im done, often its healthiest to take a little break- then the thing that gets me started again is working on an exciting costume i want to show off!

im having fun, i really am, but i think in 2025 im going to make a conscious effort to make more fashion pieces, to use more of my stash. ultimately i get more wear out of them anyway so its totally worth my time to do. ive got a lot of plans & i lot of mending & rehashing of old projects... it should be a good time :)

#my friends i hope you hold me to this one #ive sorta been feeling the burn lately. so much i want to work on and so little time in my life #(or- i am bad at time management)#but i want to wear things i make! i want to show them off and be able to tell people i made that!#everyone knows me as the guy who sews. i should make things i wear #(lady stede is absolutely still happening btw!!! for may mcm is my goal. just wanna do some other things around her)#(shea actually a real good project bc 2 of the undergarment pieces were already in my plans just for whatever)#anyway. this is a little venty rambly im sorry. ive just been thinking about things #i will finish the coat this year also. my ass is NOT freezing 1 more winter

me in 2022 after getting my covid and flu shots at the same time: wow this was awful, i'm never doing this again

me on nov 1, 2024: i should just get my covid and flu shot at the same time so i don't have to go to walgreen's twice 🤡

needless to say, that was a horrible idea and i feel like garbage now

#the post vax fever finally hit me last night right as i was settling in to bed #i had to get up to go to the bathroom and i was freezing my ass off and shivering uncontrollably #and then i woke up at 1 am when my fever started to break #but then i woke up and my fever came back #and i think it's been trying to break bc i've been so hot the past hour #and also i've had a sore throat through all of this #and my left arm hurts so fucking bad (that was the arm i got the covid shot in)#i'm stupid tho and will keep making this horrible decision every year probably #the only thing that stopped me from getting both shots at the same time last year was walgreen's had run out of covid shots for that day #so i could only get the flu shot #and had to reschedule the covid shot for a couple days later

Was in an “I need to do something fun, novel, and mildly dangerous right NOW or I am going to self-destruct” kind of mood so I got a waffle cone locally then walked an hour or two to Target and Big Lots, bought some stuff I needed, and carried it back from 8:30–10:00. I saw the moon! It is very orange. Very beautiful. Very powerful.

I got a file folder for important documents and some Command strips and hooks from Target; and a denim chindi rug, an over-door organizer, and some pretty butterfly depression glasses, which I assume are for liquor from Big Lots.

I also helped some kids cross the street because they were unsure how crosswalks worked; and I gave a few dollars to a lady holding a sign who needed it to support her kids. Honestly I liked doing those things more than the actual shopping but I am quite pleased with my denim chindi rug. It’s pretty.

#Adventures with Tarrie #I hate it when nothing interesting happens on the way to the store so this was a treat getting TWO interesting things.#And of course there’s the whole walking home at night thing where it’s basically me marching through town at 3 mph #threateningly staring down cars and any crevice in which a person could possibly hide #When it comes to normal social situations I freeze up #but when it comes to potential danger I’m like “Where the FUCK are all the creeps #Come and GET ME. I dare you to lay ONE finger on me. I DARE you. See what happens. I will bite your entire fucking HAND off.”#I’m not afraid of walking at night. It just fills me with bloodlust and makes me want someone to try me more than usual #I am such a feral animal. As soon as I step foot outside the mask drops and all social norms go out the window #I saw someone’s little surveillance camera turn on with a green light on the way home so I stopped and waved at it #with my two giant bags of purchased items on each arm #I stopped and ceremoniously bowed to the moon in front of passing cars #I always haul ass on crosswalks #Constantly talking to myself and the animals and occasionally trilling at things #And I walk FAST over any kind of terrain
