Had a woman bring in her ferret for an exam and when I went into the room a second ferret poked its head out of her bag. In delighted surprise I exclaimed “oh you have two!” and she immediately responded “yes, I’m a small business owner”
Have to admit it took me a second

In the Haret Hreik neighborhood of Dayihe, Beirut, a banner is raised to honor Aaron Bushnell, who self-immolated in front of the zionist embassy in Washington in solidarity with Palestine and in rejection of his country's position supporting the genocide war waged against Gaza.
"Aaron Bushnell, from the people of loyalty and sincerity, to your pure soul. Your devotion and loyalty to the Palestinian people will remain a trust in our necks for eternity."
In March, signs honoring Bushnell were raised in Areeha, Palestine and Sana'a, Yemen.

OP: I get isolated because I refused to let my roommate bring her boyfriend to stay overnight in our dorm. Is it my fault?
Cnetizens: Oh you absolutely need to "apologize" to her
(context: In Chinese dorms, it's usually one room with four beds, and the space is usually tight. It's not like everyone gets their own room. Also, the two beds against the wall are often placed head-to-foot, so they're right next to each other. All universities/colleges have rules against guys sneaking into girls' dorms, and they also don't allow anyone to bring someone of their dates back to the dorm. The situation in Chinese universities is pretty mixed. Some dorms are really nice, while others are pretty bad. Most are just average. Usually, the super fancy dorms are at private colleges (the ones that aren't highly ranked and charge a lot for tuition). On the other hand, top academic universities might have older, not-so-great dorms.)
These are some chinese college dorms

I would like all Americans (and everyone else) who are excited for the Superbowl to know: Before the actual Superbowl there's a live tournament on TV, here in Germany, called "American Ice Football".
It is exactly what it sounds like: American Football but played on Ice, in shoes with entirely smooth soles.
It's a tournament with 4 teams and they are called Eastside Ossis, Westside Wessis, Northcoast Naughties and Southside Smoothies and it's just hilariously entertaining.
Here's a video to show you how stupid it looks:

African Canvas Margaret Courtney-Clarke
The Art of Africa is a casualty of colonial exploitation, surviving principally in the museums of other countries. ~ Nadine Gordimer
“My objective in this work is to document an extraordinary art form - vernacular art and architecture in West Africa - that is not transportable and therefore not seen in museums around the world. It is an attempt to capture the unseen Africa, a glimpse into the homes and into the spirit of very proud and dignified peoples. In much the same way as I photographed the art of Ndebele women, I have drawn on my personal affinity for the art itself, for methods, design and form, rather than the socio-anthropological or political realities of a people or continent in dilemma. These images portray a unique tradition of Africa, a celebration of an indigenous rural culture in which the women are the artists and the home her canvas.”
