honestly, if i may, all of this talk about the way people treat trans women has reminded me of an experience i still remember vividly back when i was peripherally part of the tumblr / twitter mfrp community. which please note i was never a very active participant, i personally found mfrp very boring and so i was never really fully integrated into these communities - but while i was in them i did befriend a few trans women and i noticed a very persistent pattern in these supposed LGBT-friendly spaces regarding the moderation of trans women.

there was a persistent issue in multiple different mfrp communities i was peripherally involved in, in which trans women would always be regarded as "abrasive" or "aggressive", for making the same kinds of comments and jokes that tme people were making. and the (majority tme) moderation teams would almost always rule against trans women, silencing them or labeling them as deviants / weirdos for behaviors that they would be much more forgiving towards tme people for.

as a sort of bystander i didn't really have a leg in to comment on the actions of moderation teams, i could only offer being a friend to trans women as i watched them be ostracized from these spaces by the very same people who would plaster "terfs dni" all over their bios. i'm not saying this to pat myself on the back, there is definitely more i could have done in those situations, but i do want to call out why all these "fuck terf" type posts just never really resonate with me, seeing them be rbed by people who i know would just jump at the opportunity to demonize a trans woman again (and i just saw it happen earlier with that stupid shit slinging post falsely accusing a trans woman of something she didn't even do regarding cohost...) (i'm aware op of that post apologized for their behavior but what occurred is what occurred)

it's not enough to say "fuck terfs" and i hate that people always center on the buffoonery of terf behavior instead of centering and caring for and supporting the trans women in their lives. it's really frustrating for me to watch as a staunch feminist to continually see the way the lgbt community has let down trans women. the recent wave of discourse regarding "transandrophobia" is also extremely worrying to me - i have seen a non-insignificant number of posts made by certain people in that community that claim that the lgbt community is Too centered on trans women: as if it's a competition, and as if the visibility of trans women is somehow a boon to them rather than a consequence of people using their cause to simply be performative instead of genuinely uplifting and loving.

sorry this isn't the most well thought-out post, i'm just rambling and i have a lot of complicated feelings on this. i don't want to derail what's happening right now too much by bringing up other topics, but i will say i do think it's inevitable that at some point we do need to confront some of the "transandrophobia truther" type sentiments i've seen lately, because they absolutely are damaging to trans women and lead to situations exactly like this.

please, if nothing else, i really hope everyone takes this as an opportunity to be kind to the trans women in their lives. the least you could do is offer them your support. reblogging posts dunking on transmisogynists is not enough. we need to make our communities safer for trans women, and that doesn't end with car hammer explosion memes.

He's been taken to Tilin's grave quite a few times now, and each time he just gets... really sad. It doesn't make him value his life the way they want it to- instead, it convinces him he can't, by any means, let himself get killed, otherwise his dads will end up like 1% dad quackity (very very sad), and his siblings will mourn him and that won't be nice

he's an incredibly sweet kid- this isn't an hc as much as it's an Actual Real On God fact, I just think it's very important

because he is such a sweet kid, the lessons about hurting other things are the ones that he dislikes most

he loves tax evasion it's his favorite crime to commit

he picks up other people's habits very easily! things like tics, stims, speech patterns, etc

he's scared being manco will make his dads like him less. no matter how many times they tell him it's fine, he feels he has to compensate for it somehow

his gun is like a comfort object to him, and staying away from it for too long makes him very uncomfortable

despite being scared of bulls, he doesn't hate them, not like Leo hates whales, for example. Killing that bull he had gotten phisically close to wasn't pleasant

as he grows, he tries to put on a bit of a tougher persona because of, especially, Cellbit's expectations, although all the other dads' also contribute in different ways

ultimately, he sucks at keeping that up, and 99,9% of people can see right through him

he cherishes his first stolen emerald so so much

he uses braces due to his bad leg! that leg stops at the knee, and Forever is working on a prosthetic for him

he loves watching Forever work on the prosthetic, and will often comment on things he wants on it

he has a hard time understanding romance, due to having 5 dads who aren't in love with each other, Chayanne's dad being one of his dad's crush (he THINKS that's it), whatever cellbit and roier have going, etc

he forgives very easily

he doesn't really... like his definetly not a captivity room. he thinks he understands why he has to sleep there, and the attempts to make it more cozy worked a little, but it's too dark and quiet and small in there. there's barely any space to shoot his gun and soon there won't be space for paintings

somewhere, he has a whole ass habitat for his pet jabuti

he loves Dapper's (I think it's Dapperd I forgor) zoo

he has flute lessons with Tallulah every 2 days or so

These wizards come across as standoffish and calculating most of the time. They’re glances being taken at face value. Almost like numbers are in their eyes. But if they looked deeper, if they looked to where they exactly are looking, they’d find a much simpler answer. They would find that they are looking for the exit. Constantly figuring out the fastest way out. Chasing the door because it’s the only thing that feels familiar to them. Like a child having to watch the horrors from afar.

They’re given the title of legendary very easily. Few and far in between while also being hard to get a hold of. Very akin to the same creatures and stories they study and learn over their lives. But would anyone know that they also wish to see the wonders? To be able to step out of the cave they were cornered in and to see the world through a different lens. Looking at the grassy hills and purple skies with joy and courage. Gazing at the starry sky, counting as many as they can thinking it’ll be the last.

Needless to say, they spend a lot of time in their head. Creating worlds and universes with encyclopedia entries down to even the different types of grasses. Inserting people into their lives they wish were there. Having people who they would love to talk to, becoming their friend. Annoyances becoming villains and them becoming the heroine with a sword and shield at the ready. Winning the day against the dragon queen with light and hope. A very bright future contrasting their dark look on life and the spiral.

If you were to get close to them, you might even see something different and strange compared to the rest of them. A warming feeling emanating off of them. A aura that feels like cashmere and beige, but dappled with gold and eccentricity. Something about them is so comforting and alluring. Yet so wild and unpredictable like a story half written. And you are the muse that finishes the last half. In color, or grayscale, depending on how you want this story to end.

this is another addition of the dual schools post! its kind of a sadder one so to speak; but i hope its not too depressing!

the combo for this one is death + myth :]

How often do they mourn the loss of those who would fall quiet on your lips. A voice seeming not really their own, as if they’re speaking for someone else. They speak about them as if they were still here, as if you could give them a hug and know exactly what they were feeling. But it’s all just backlogs and memories stored too deep for anyone to look through. Pages so thick with dust they look double in size.

Catacombs and mausoleums becoming some of their favorite spots. Being able to talk with people who have a fear of being forgotten, and the wizard having the burden of being unforgettable. Cursed with knowledge they wouldn’t pass onto anyone else. A torch burning bright and hot just leaving you with burns and scars until it finally takes your body. Even in death you would be asked to help you think.

Somber is the best word to describe these wizards. Given the knowledge and sometimes weight of being the unknowns vessel. Being told to write a book on things no one else would understand. To understand a language so convoluted yet so clear to you. But they would write it, they would write 3 books if it meant someone else might start catching on. If they had to publish a lengthy series, they would do it. People need to know this; people need to at least feel this weight with them.

Once you finally see past them and their ‘gift’ do you see what they are. You will see someone who cares so deeply for everyone to be heard and understood. A child who just wanted to feel included and feel loved in their community. The question you should ask yourself is not if you should help them, but rather, why do you want to help them. Is it because you feel the need? Or maybe because it’s simply the right thing to do. Either way, only they will decide if you picked the right answer. For they are the speaker of the dead and the lost; they never needed to add your voice to their choir.

i was very inspired by @t00thbox who made a post about the death school! they brought up some amazing points that got my brain going so I came up with this!!

the only warning I have is that there is mentions of bruises and cuts of sorts so beware of that!! otherwise enjoy!

For some people it’s hard for them to accept the give and take of the world. Fearful of the things that could be so easily taken away from us. Albeit a person, an object, an idea; whatever it is they would defend it with everything they have. Fighting until there’s dirt under their fingernails.

You would think the same thing looking at some of us. Wounds covering our body, lacerations and deep bruises seeming more common than any blemish or discoloration. Your thoughts may wander to the countless acts of selflessness that we acted upon. Shielding the weak with our bodies. Throwing up a banner of revolt and charging head first.

That would’ve been more heroic if that was true. In reality, we act as conduits. Siphoning our own soul so that someone else could achieve those same heroics we could never even dream of. Sparing no expense as long as it fills them with a sense of power and courage.

But at the end of the day, we all are bones. We return to the soil and ash we were molded from. Only our bones remain as our last eulogy is written in a tongue only our brethren can decipher. And as our caskets are lowered, only those of the same school may lower their heads in respect.

The duty of a necromancer is a long one. A journey that takes you down roads that have been long forgotten. But it is one of the more meaningful paths you’ll come across.

here’s a quick little blurb that I’ve been working on for a little bit now!! it was sparked by Val’s brilliant dual schools post 🖤

this post is about a fire + life school combination!

They’re extremely passionate people. Always wishing and pushing for a future that they hold dear in their heart. The same heart they wear on their sleeve. Beating loudly for anyone who wants to listen; to hear their song of love and loss. To the beat of their past experiences and what they hold fast to.

They have the same gentle touch that is known about life wizards, but there’s some depth to it. Instead of a soothing wave of calm washing over you it’s more of drive that comes from them. A sense of adrenaline surging through you like a forest set ablaze by not arson, but with purpose. You can stand up now with renewed vigor, not by usual means, but with valor knowing that no one else can complete this task but you now.

They’ve been known to be quite stubborn in their opinions and way of thinking. But they don’t mean to come across that way. They just believe so fully with their souls that it’s true. Believing is without seeing and without judgement.

It's actually not too different from having a not-god dad. Not god-dad as in like your parent's really close friend, but like a dad. Who is also a god. It's not very different from having a not-god dad, because they're still a dad, just one who's closer to me and who can summon cranberries from thin air whenever I want to eat some. Because boy oh boy, do i love them cranberries~

HI! it's nighttime where I am but luckily for YOU my brain is being a JERK and will not let me sleep~

Mushrooms! I like me some mushrooms. Good in the garden, gooder still in a stew. Make for a good stir fry when you mix them with some onions. Like em on my pizzas even if my husband makes fun of me for that. He's one to talk since he likes to eat them raw. So does our son. He says he wants to be a mushroom some day. And Who am I to squander his fungal aspirations?

We have a family friend who's a mushroom elf if that is anything. his name's george. he's old and very nice. like 200 hundred years old. almost as old as my great grandma! kidding kidding. she's still forever young at heart <3

But yeah his name's george and I don't really ever talk to him unless I'm picking up our platonic boyfriend. he goes over to hang out at his place a lot to help in the garden. it makes him happy. he says it helps with his seasonal depression that makes me happy, too. him being happy not the seasonal depression. that makes me sad because I hate seeing him be sad

i mostly enjoy (and have the most experience) making visual art that is bright, simple, & a tad nostalgic! i love making people smile, so if i can do that with my drawings + crafts then i think that's super great! ^.^

that being said, i'm hoping running this blog will help lead me to exploring a lot more mediums, styles, & ideas that i've not gotten to experiment with yet! so who knows what diff types of art i'll be making in the future!

i haven't done any artistic writing in a very (veerrryyy) long time, so i'm obvs not sure how to describe my writing style. i suppose we will all find out together when i get to posting some! :-)

This one is the post that got by far the most notes out of anything I've posted and I'm reasonably sure every single type of discourse is happening in the notes. I'm too scared to check. So I'm gonna tell everyone a story. A few years back I decided I was fucking sick of all the gaslighting by everyone around me and so I set myself a challenge for two months to prove to everyone I WASN'T "just a glutton" or "delusional" or anything. My challenge?

Eat 2200 calories. No more. Not one calorie more.

For 2 entire months I stuck to the challenge I set myself. I downloaded MyFitnessPal just for this challenge. I measured every single gram of food I was putting into my body. The salads, the meats, the grains, the fucking sauces, every ounce of drink and everything under the sun. For 2 whole fucking months that calorie tracker was practically my holy book. I never went under 2200. Some days I went below 2000.

The results? My body literally began to shut down. I felt lethargic. I had headaches. I could barely pick up a box. I felt dizzy almost constantly. By the second month I was frequently collapsing and got delirious if I had to do anything that wasn't staying in bed. So many times during this self-inflicted challenge my physical state got so bad that I was TERRIFIED of collapsing and someone calling the paramedics on me. Because I knew that if I got sent to the hospital THEY WOULD FUCKING KILL ME. They wouldn't understand my situation, would think I'm just some fat fuck experiencing the consequences of being a fat fuck, and I have no doubt that the controlled amount of food they would give me in the hospital would finish me off, because Of CoUrSe the fat fuck doesn't need more food! They're just a FaT fUcK.

Guess what didn't happen? Weight loss. The entire 2 months I was doing this challenge my body fat didn't budge one bit.

Aside from the initial "Holy fuck it's FOOD" period of my body wigging the fuck out when I finally stopped restricting and allowed myself to eat when I was hungry? My body went back to normal. I felt energetic and happy and HEALTHY when I was eating the amount that my body needed. I felt like I could do fucking anything.

And that's how I know that I'm simply not imagining it. I DO need more calories than what's considered "normal" in order for my body to function normally and be healthy.

I don't need your criticism. I don't need your gaslighting.

Your mockery of me needing more food than what's "normal?" Guess what? It's ableist!

There are plenty of thin people that PUBLICLY eat large quantities of food. Think the super skinny mukbangers that upload with such frequency that according to the InFaLlIBlE lOgIc of diet culture, there's no way they could be essentially starving enough to maintain the figure they do. And yet they do. And such mukbangers are often showered with praise, they're told they look pretty, their videos are relaxing and help people and yada yada. All the mukbangers who are visibly fat? No difference, except they're met with hatred and vitriol and legions upon legions of trolls.

And the sad truth? Despite all of fat activism's attempts to make fatness more normalized, we STILL haven't made it safe for fat people to just eat things. We really haven't. I'm even willing to argue that everyone's made it WORSE for fat people to eat. The only references that are ever made to what fat people eat are the sort of "I eat very little and I'm still fat!" "I eat less than my thin friends and I'm still fat!"

And that's the fucking problem. Because when you're so desperate to push the narrative of "fat people eat very little actually", ultimately you're still playing into fatphobia. The kind of subtle fatphobia that says you can only be fat if you're eating very little. You can only be fat if you don't let yourself eat "too much".

The message is still "You're only allowed to be fat if you're a "good fatty"".

And not only is it perpetuating fatphobia, it's perpetuating misogyny! That fatphobia primarily affects feminine-leaning people and this whole "fat people who eat very little" narrative shames every fat people who can't follow this standard, and it itself seems to disregard the misogyny inherent in saying it's wrong to "overindulge" or eat "too much" or anything feminine-leaning people aren't "supposed" to do.

So to everyone who wants to make a mockery out of me being unashamed to admit that I need to eat more than the average person just to avoid a horrible death? Go fuck yourself before I fuck YOU up with a metal bat, you abusive gaslighting piece of shit.

Ik in fat acceptance I see a lot of "most fat people don't eat any more than a thin person! Stop assuming every fat person eats too much!" and like.... okay and I agree with that.... but some people who are fat DO need a supernormal amount of calories to function. I'm one of them where if I tried to adhere to just 2200 calories a day my body would probably begin shutting down like an anorexic's. Some thin people need a large caloric intake to function as well and they get praised for how much they eat. Whereas a fat person can't even talk about eating a lot and how it shouldn't be stigmatized without getting either insulted or told to "stop spreading stereotypes." SOME PEOPLE NEED TO EAT A LOT TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY BODY. SOMETIMES THOSE PEOPLE WILL BE FAT. YOU GOTTA ACCEPT THAT

13. what do you think about OCs?

As someone who struggles with creating original characters/story, I'm very jealous of anyone with OCs lmao. I'm always down for any interactions with OCs! The only times I'd be reserved about it is if the OC/mun has already established what my muses' roles to them are (like if it says that my muse is OC's [insert any type of close/direct relationship/enemy/etc]). Those are situations that I'd like to plot out first with the mun, I think? I hardly ever say no tbh.

Momo knows that i very much am an absolute SLUT for polyships, ty for this ldkfsdfj. ofc it has to be okay with my other writing partners too. Almost all of my muses are open for plotted polyships tbh

More often that not, if I plan on reblogging asap, I do send something in if the meme is reblogged recently/circulating on the dash.

But it's not something I require when people rb from me, and I don't mind it when people rb from me directly w/o sending anything in (if anything, I kinda prefer the latter sometimes bc if the dash is fucky, I like being notified that someone rb'd a meme and I can mayhaps send them a thing).
