do you think part of why Etho is trying to have so many alliances at once this season is because on Secret Life he wanted to die in his home but it was too far away, but if everywhere is home, at least a little bit, then maybe, maybe it won't hurt as much (and while he's at it he pretends not to notice home gets farther away with each new promise of allegiance)

Tuff Guys try SO hard to be all "we're not a team" and "we'll be together when it's convenient" and "it's really everyone by themselves" but then they'll have a collective mace that goes around, and they'll help each other get kills even when it's hopeless, and they turned all their attention into helping each other when one of them went under green, and they still have team meetings every start of session, and they still decided to pool their resources, and they still have a collective calling card, and in the beginning of session 7 Bdubs still says, "I know what I want, Tango knows what he wants, now what do you want?" and it's framed as a question about kills but it's not, not really, and Etho still doesn't really answer.

They say they're not a team, but they still call Etho a traitor as though you can betray something that apparently doesn't exist. They say they don't care, but Tango still tells Ren "Not gonna lie, I was going to get kinda sad that Bdubs was trying to kill me, but it's just you." (paraphrased, but still). There's that part when Tango and Bdubs are talking and they both come to the conclusion Tango can't trust him, and the thing is, Bdubs could have lied. He could have said sure you can, but he knows Tango knows because they know each other enough, because they've been a team enough times, because they are a team and that's what he'd've done.

Tuff Guys went into the alliance fully vocal about how it wouldn't work. This never leads good places for them. They're doing it anyway. They'll never admit it, not directly, not loud and clear, because it's hurt them enough times as is, but they still live next to each other and they still coordinated team attacks in session 7 and they still haven't committed to real distrust among them

All this to say that denial is a river and egypt and by god they are DIVING

crazy that Joel had that whole all against him scene where he was dodging everyone with teleportation and at the end he ender pearls out of Ren's cobwebs and ender pearls on top of that tree and in the end of everything he kills himself by teleporting

If Gem had died like 3 minutes earlier I genuinely don't think Joel would've won. If she'd died at a time when he could even slightly process the fact that his teammate, his closest family, is gone gone, I don't think he would've won. I think he'd've done his "crazy trying to kill people now that his source of stability is gone" thing and died miserably. So the Joel community owes Gem their lives is what I'm saying,

my only ashswag headcanon is that he's some sort of god but he's so annoying the other gods keep cursing him with mortality, "live among them to understand what you take for granted" style, but every time he just finds increasingly forbidden ways of ascending back to godhood, effectively having the opposite effect

my funniest mcyt headcanon is that every time Foolish gets into a new smp he's actually trying to get to hermitcraft and it fails due to some wacky ass shenanigans every time. when he gets out of whatever hell server he went to now he messages Xisuma like "IS THE INVITE STILL OUT" and X is like "? yeah but you never showed?" so Foolish goes "KEEP IT THERE I'M COMING" and then he gets in the wrong portal or smth

BET/Tough boys/Tuff boys makes me crazy bc like. they're still the same people they've always been through this series, even though they aren't, not really. they know this alliance is doomed to fail, they acknowledge it never works, they said they're on their own but together when they want to, they knows this won't work, they know one of them will be a traitor, they know Tango holds grudges, they know Bdubs could not possibly put himself before Etho, they know Etho could not possibly put one of them before himself, and they're still trying anyway. they're still trying. they're still making towers right next to each other. they're still sharing food tips. they're still sharing the tough boys name. learning their lesson has bever stopped anyone from doing what made them learn it again

forever took Cellbit's "eyes always open, forever" as not a warning to always remain alert but as a reminder to open his eyes and see clearly again and isn't that just a reflection of how much love there is in him that his interpretation of what is usually so clearly a warning becomes one more piece of evidence of how much peoole love him and how much his anger is getting in the way of his relationsh- (I am forcibly removed from the stage)

do you ever think about whatever the hell is going on with Impulse and Etho in the life series. like what is up with that

imagine you're ethoslab and you're playing this new death game for the first time. people are making alliances, and there's a war brewing- you know what side you're on. You're with the King, you are one of his men, and you live in a wool castle with your ally, the closest to you if only due to physical proximity. he doesn't come home a lot, but that's fine. You're still close.

Then the castle burns, more than once, and you really should have expected that. With time you'll start seeing burning houses as a sign, maybe a metaphor, but not now. You aren't yet aware of your penchant for bases susceptible to fire. You're more worried about your things.

Then the war hits, and you're not sure when, but you realize this guy- the one who was on your side, the one who lived with you- has turned on you. Is it turning on you if he was never on your side at all? But you thought you were friends, so it kind of hurts when he's the one who takes your last life.

The second time you do this he's not your friend at all- he chose the south, and that's alright with you. Your team is, frankly, the best. You have a best friend who might be something more, and though you have no castle, he helps you build a snow fort. Things are good. Then they aren't so good anymore, but you make them good again, even if at the expense of your other teammates. To you he matters more, so you keep him close.

You don't think of him much, the guy who betrayed you and killed you. Maybe you should have, but you have better this time.

Until he helps spawn that wither, and then it all comes crashing down, and in the end you choose being a survivor over being a friend. In the end, you can't give your life to a dead man. In a way, he killed you again.

The third time you don't quite believe it when your best friend is soulbound to him. Your best friend says they're happily married; you ask him if he's sure, he says of course he's sure, and that's how he takes you best friend from you twice.

You're not sad with your soulbound- it's a new experience, you never talked to him much before. This time your ally is the one who builds a base. No one wastes any time in pointing out how flammable it is. You both know it will burn soon enough.

But when it does you burn the whole world down with it, and in the end you both team up with your best friend and the one who killed you in more ways than one. You think he's happy, though. You kind of wish he weren't.

They betray you again. The portal's trapped, it couldn't have been anyone but them. It feels fitting, that you burn too. It's the third time he takes your life.

(If you asked he would tell you it wasn't them- your best friend would tell you they would never, and you'd believe the latter but not the former. You never ask.)

The two of you are there for the fourth round, too. By now you know how these games work. You ally with the people you were with when you truly first met your best friend, except this time he isn't there.

This time, you look at him- at the man who's killed you twice, now- and he looks back. You know he's not sorry. You aren't either.

He asks you about your cows, if you want to combine forces. You aren't fully sure what it means when you accept it, this feeling you get, but it doesn't feel wrong when you're allies. You know what he is- he's one to play from all sides, he's a traitor, he's your ally, he's the one with the backup plan, he's the reason you've died so many times. He's resourceful, he's smart, he's tricky, he's the type to pretend he's less than he is.

You can never fully trust him, but vaguely, you know he doesn't want that. You cheer for him, when he's the last of your team standing.

You aren't sure what to think of him, when you see him in the fifth game, but you know and he knows, so you guess it's fine.

tbh I don't think Cucurucho can afford to let Richarlyson die. like. all his dads are insane. Slime? his child dies and he goes nuts but on the other eggs. Quackity? his child dies and he goes nuts too, but on the other eggs (as far as I know- I wasn't following the story before the brazil update). The brazillians, though? they don't care that much about the other eggs, or aboyt the other islanders. not enough to seek them out in a blind rage.

no. if richarlyson dies, there's nothing tying them to the island anymore, except for getting Felps back, but even then, they can risk anything without fearing a permadeath. felps disappeared, yes, but no one they care about would suffer consequences, because Richarlyson would be dead.

Cellbit would go full investigation mode without any regard for anything else- Forever's grind would be uninterrupted by anything- god knows and pac and mike do because I sure don't (this is a threat). and cucurucho could chase Cellbit down a hall with a chainsaw again, sure, but he's come back worse from that, so really anything he does to him will have him even more determined.

the thing is, all the brazillians? Richarlyson is keeping them ""in line"", in a way. if he's gone? they've got nothing to lose, so they might as well get everything they couldn't
