Me personally I don’t have a problem with anyone shipping anything. Doesn’t matter if they have 5 minutes or 50 minutes of screen time a season! I think it’s just the parasocial relationship of it all… I probably wouldn’t dislike BT or tommy as much had it not been for the cameos and his stans literally defending him based on HCs from the cameos to the point of bashing other characters (including Buck!). I’m not saying all buddie shippers are perfect, some can be problematic! I just personally have not had a positive interaction with a BT shipper and my experience is them mocking buddie fans or putting tommy on a pedestal.

i 100% agree with u. there can be problematic ppl from any fanbase. usually i dont really let how ppl feel abt a ship/character influence how i feel abt them, and that is still the case with bt. i do not like tmmy and i will not like tmmy, there is no question abt that. i didnt like him before i even saw the inflow of bt shippers. the fact that a good majority of his fanbase is a little parasocial with lfjr and also relentlessly hates on eddie (wishing him dead, etc.) just reinforced my dislike of him. its not his screen time or anything like that its just that hes not a very likeable character.

Is there a reason that people disregard that interview where Dan said "basically, yes" to someone calling him and Phil a normal gay couple? Is it because he was pressured into it (which is horrible btw and the Interviewer shouldn't have been so pushy, but also Dan could have just not answered)? Isn't that a direct confirmation??? I'm confused why people don't take it into consideration when this question gets brought up.

yeah tbh I think it's mainly bc he was pressured into it. that whole segment just had such a weird start to begin with (the interviewer asking if dan's "romantic relationship" with phil will be part of the show like what the fuck, then the interviewer saying dan calling phil a friend is homophobic, dan saying that whoever wrote that q (as if it wasn't the interviewer?) was "dancing around words" frankly idk what words he meant the intent of the question is pretty clear, then the interviewer doubling down and asking him to describe his relationship with Phil, dan giving a classic dan answer) it just all seems vvv awkward. so i think bc the setup is so weird and then also it's a print interview so we have no idea what the tone of everything was, I think it gives ppl some pause in taking that as 100% proof you know? and bc dan was kind of backed into a corner and then I don't think he promoted the interview at all I think that ppl don't bring it up a lot

I think ina is very family-oriented… being able to protect her family (and her community) is a really big thing for her…!!! she’s willing to stand up against a human lord and kill (prob her first kills tbh now that I think abt it ….) to save her cousin and she’s like what … 16…!!!! and she loves her family a lot and I think she feels bad that she had to leave them behind even though it wasn’t her choice. she’s doing her heroic stuff and getting recognition for it, and she’s experiencing things she would’ve never experienced if she still lived in the alienage (like being able to afford fancy clothes and proper food, etc.) and she feels bad that she can do all that stuff knowing that her family is still back in the alienage, living off of rats and whatever they could find. and even though she had that encounter with that spectral shianni in the temple of sacred ashes, she still hasn’t reconciled with the fact that she did leave them behind, and her life will continue without them. like I think throughout the origins plot she gets sooo homesick and she misses her family a lot..! like that was her whole life you know, and she’s still young despite everything that has happened. and I think tabris would’ve wanted children too — obvs not in her current age, but some day in the future she would’ve wanted her own kids and I think she would’ve grown to love nelaros too I mean I make her wear the wedding ring you can loot off of him until zev gives you his earring, but now she can’t have them bc she’s a grey warden, and she can’t even look out for her own family bc she’s a warden and she’s not supposed to have those ties anymore…. like it’s so bad for her! but she has to make her own peace with it … and I think she has enough sense of responsibility to take up that mantle of being a warden, and she’s willing to save these people (the very people who looks down on her bc she’s an elf) but it doesn’t mean she has to like it, or she’s happy about it, she just has to do it, u know…. but if such a choice was possible I think she would’ve wanted to go back home. but she can’t go home anymore so it is what it is … 😮‍💨
