So about a year ago I had to get a new phone because it couldn't hold a charge and would get so hot. I couldn't hold it just from being on tick tock for 15 minutes.

When I got my new phone, I was delighted to discover that my web browser grouped tabs on Google. This was a monumental Revelation as I could now group fanfiction tabs by fandom. Before I was forced to have one long line of open taps separated by a notable image from the respective fandom.

Every time My hyperfixation carousel would rotate to the next fandom I would create any tab and start holding fics there. Just recently I had to scroll to the top of the tab list celebrating my first full fandom rotation with this phone.

So without further Ado all of my fandoms that I have visited this year

Starting with One Piece in January 2024 and ending with One Piece February.

Question for people with special interests:

Have you ever had a special interest be REALLY strong for a few years, fade out (but it's still definitely there), and then come back and hit you like a train a year or two later?

I'm still learning, and I don't know if special interests have to be consistent for them to be considered special interests. Twenty One Pilots has always had a HUGE part in my life and taken up a giant portion of my thoughts, but the interest kinda died down a little during quarantine. Recently, it's come back and I genuinely cannot stop talking about them, reading about them, listening to their music, watching their videos, literally anything that has to do with them, I get involved with in my free time.

It really doesn't feel like just being a fan. Like it's all I can think about most of the time. I don't know if it's a hyperfixation or a special interest or what but it's all I talk about now

Outside of his most popular novels (TTLUTS, ATWI8D), what is your favorite Jules Verne story (if you have one)?

Honestly, I've read others, but most of Verne's work outside of the ones everyone's heard of are pretty mid. I guess I'd say From the Earth to the Moon/Round the Moon, but I don't know if that counts as unpopular exactly.

I did not love the d&d movie, however i fear i will get sucked into it by the Tumblr love (and I'm not fully against that). I just still have an issue with the fact that the creators literally said they only wanted to use D&D for the large amount of pre-made content that it had. and i feel like that showed!! i am excited for all dnd content as i think it's such a wonderful art form and way of keeping play alive among people. however, there are enough talented people out there that i think that content should be led by people who are invested in the media. A good amount of the actors don't play or didn't even know bare minimum aspects of the game (and again, i feel like that bled through to the movie for me). I would've really liked to see what people who had a connection to the game could have made. i will admit that i have a general aversion to any sort of other-art-medium-translated-into-a-movie-with-popular-actors. (i did not like into the woods) so maybe this is just a personal preference, but that's whats mainly keeping me from enjoying it.

other reasons bc i was going to put these in the tags but it became way too long:

-low level druid with unlimited wild shape

-did not show off the incredible array of druid powers

-bard with no magic

-to me personally an underwhelming bard character

+ i really liked the characters relationship to his daughter and the barbarian (sorry I'm high I can't think of names) and the themes that can be explored there of being a good dad which is always A+ with bard characters

(like seriously what is it about bards with family grief??)

-undeveloped plot and characters

-a (imo) pretty regular ass plot

-it felt like they thought they could rush the characters stories by focusing mainly on the adventure aspect but then had a not very intriguing adventure plot at all

+it was incredible to see places i know of and picture in my head irl

+the settings!!!! you bet your ass I'll be borrowing little details from some of those settings

+they did try to include a good amount of d&d content that was fun for people who play (but again, see above)

I'm sure i have more thoughts somewhere in my brain but I'm officially too stoned.

I have to able to recognize my own abilities in psychology because I saw an ADHD Coming from miles away on a family friends’s kid (since 2021 the kid got the diagnosis early this year) and there many stuff that i do that were like mmm this could be related to an ADHD And then my mom told me a lot of her experience studying and I was like well that sounds a bit like ADHD and I joked maybe I got it from you and one of tutor in clinical psychology that is a very good profesional advise me to have a neuropsychology exam just to check and I’m like oh okey so maybe IT is ADHD related
