Ree knows that Silva can talk with and understand Pokémon. But she’s never mentioned a voice being funny. Ree crosses their legs and leans forward a bit. The iron bundle snaps the scrap metal in half.
“like. He’s got an accent?”

Introducing: Dark & Twisties with 'The Wild' debut single
Introducing Swansea Alt-Folk outfit 'Dark & Twisties' , they recently released their beautiful debut single 'The Wild' independently.
Hailing from Abertawe, the band consists of some Swansea Music Scene stalwarts, and collectively create a wonderful sound that is the signature of 'Dark & Twisties', praised by Adam Walton, on BBC Radio Wales and said 'I Utterly love this' about the new track.
Prepare to be swept into a world of beauty and shadow with Dark & Twisties, the alt-folk band that’s making waves with their evocative harmonies and story telling. Drawing inspiration from both nature’s power and the depths of the human experience, the group brings a unique sound that intertwines the dark beauty of traditional folk with modern, ethereal sensibilities. Dark and Twisties are; Sarah Birch, Kate Ronconi, Sarah Passmore, Danny Kilbride and Huw Rees.
They have received a rapturous reception since bursting into the scene just months ago, weaving stories old and new into strange and beautiful songs with glorious harmonies and skilful musicianship. The Wild paints vivid scenes of nature in turmoil, & while their harmonies elevate, the music flows like the storm they describe, rising and falling in a sweeping narrative that blends seamlessly with their textured vocals and acoustic depth.
“‘The Wild’ is a call to acknowledge the power of nature and the fragility of our existence,” said Kate Ronconi. “In a world where we often take for granted what the Earth provides, we wanted to capture the moment when nature reminds us of its strength and importance.” Dark & Twisties continue to build a loyal following across the alt-folk scene with intimate live performances and harmonies that transport listeners into a different realm. Their music is a perfect fit for those who love the eerie, the beautiful, and the transcendent.

Some words and some votes from last night
In the debate under the title of Committee on Standards after many voices were expressed, two votes took place. Although the Conservatives managed to succeed they only just managed to do so by a few votes. In both vote issues there were Conservatives who opposed the Government that included Peter Bottomley in the second case. The first vote was 249 vs 232 and the second vote was 244 vs 223. The…

Rhys Davies was born Vivian Rees Davies on the 9th of November 1901 in Blaenclydach, in the Rhondda Valley. Though his parents, a teacher and grocer, were Welsh speakers, their children were not, which is why their writer son wrote in English.
As a prolific 20th century writer, Rhys Davies wrote novels, novellas, short stories, a play and an autobiography. This included over 100 short stories and 20 novels. Though he didn’t directly write about it, he is known to have been ‘homosexual’.
Rhys Davies died on the 21st of August 1978, aged 76. His legacy certainly lives on through the Rhys Davies Trust, started by Meic Stephens, and its Rhys Davies Short Story Competition.
Meic Stephens also wrote a biography of Rhys Davies’ life, as has Huw Osborne (editor of the book ‘Queer Wales’), who especially focuses on Rhys Davies’ sexuality.

The Natural Yogurt Band - 57 Lashes Of The Mallet / Mysterious Planet - gone “space jazz” for the latest single
The mysterious act from Nottingham is back with a new 2-tracker, following up his previous 7-inch releases on BMM: Spectral Flux and 13 Moons of Neptune. We find again this unique style of esoteric library jazz over these cosmic drum breaks, this time with an electronic twist.

Reminder for dog owners visiting the countryside
Dog owners are being reminded to act responsibly and keep their pets on leads when walking through the countryside. Denbighshire County Council and the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB are issuing the advice as lambing season continues.  Dog owners can be prosecuted if their pet disturbs or chases a sheep.  Huw Rees, the Council’s Countryside and Heritage Services Manager, said: “The vast…

Half Happy - ‘Runaway Girl’ (Official Video)
Runaway Girl’ is Half Happy’s new bittersweet single, recalling those university days. A softer tale which drowns you in oooh’s, pensive guitars and bubbling bass which take you on the guilt train and back. For anyone blaming all their decisions on a past life. The video was created by the naturally talented Hannah N Tottle. Spending hours cutting live footage of us playing a house party with the many disposable photos we’ve taken over the years, she captured the party that just won't quit.
Half Happy emerged in Lockdown and when everyone could go back to the pub they went straight to the studio with friend and Producer Tom Rees (of Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard) to record their first few tracks.
Their new single 'Runaway Girl' is a softer tale which drowns you in oooh’s, pensive guitars and bubbling bass which take you on the guilt train and back. They’ve all known each other for 9 years from Uni, Zac and Jon go back further to bad haircuts in high school. Half Happy are tied together in a cosy Cardiff Radius where everybody knows your name (almost).
Airy, dreamy guitar licks lift you up so that bittersweet lyrics can lure you in and poke you in the gut. Their collective love for post-punk will soon fight to shine through but for the moment, they're Half Happy. Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales DJ, BBC Introducing: "Your new favourite band." "It's delicious". Huw Stephens, BBC Radio Wales and Radio 6 Music DJ: "We want everyone to hear this because it is so good". Bill Cummings, God is in the TV: "Self reflective, bittersweet and bloody glorious, Half Happy have captured my heart".

Can we help Edward Leigh by forming a 2020 Recall Act?

On Tuesday in the House of Commons several significant things happened, some of which have already been covered in yesterdays blog which focused on the very poor approach taken by the Prime Minister toward settings such as Sussex seafront locations. However there are always a number of matters that occur during the day in Parliament and another one was a debate on the amendments to the…
