I want my action career to begin. I’m not kidding. I looked at a film of mine on Netflix or Prime the other day. They give you “five other films you might like if you like this one” and they were all about people dying. I thought: “I think I’ve done as much dying as I really want to do.” I’m grateful to be the guy they come for dying, but from now on, if I’m going to die, I don’t want to die on a drip in my pyjamas - I want to die in a hail of machine gunfire or jumping out of an aeroplane at 30,000ft.

A beautiful and heartwarming tribute to Van Dyke, it's guaranteed to invoke smiles (and perhaps a few tears). The video was filmed with Dick's extended family at his Malibu home, which he had to evacuate a few days ago due to the Franklin Fire. "It was coming from the hill, you could see it," Van Dyke stated in an interview with the Today show. "And oh my God, we got out of here." After trying to extinguish "a little fire in the guest house" by himself, Dick said "I was trying to crawl to the car. I had exhausted myself. I couldn't get up. Three neighbors came and carried me out." He was then evacuated to safety with his wife, Arlene Silver, and their pets, but one cat named "Bobo" escaped during the commotion. In a traditional Hollywood happy ending, when they were allowed to return home "Bobo" was there waiting for them, safe and sound.
