tumblr removing the backdating option - something basic to almost every blogging platform since the ancient days - has essentially broken my ability to use this platform (mostly to post old newspapers and organize them to make it easier to locate latter). Not sure if I'll even stick around without backdating.
That getting rid of backdating happened right as a moral panic over Palestinian scammers asking for aid to escape genocide broke on tumblr - despite years of people complaining about this issue with backdating - is just cruelty and very telling.
(surely there are better options to track when a post was originally made - if you reblogged a post that is later backdated, the original posted date is visible to users.)

PEANUT!!! 🥜🥜🥜 (from the ask game you reblogged)
PEANUT - Who is your least favourite character? Did you design them to be that way?
Oh this is a hard one, the more of a horrible rat bastard a character is the more I like them, give me all the unlikable women and characters that never met a scruple in their life... Hmmm .... But my least favorite character to write is probably from my recent WIP Backdating, I found the MCs grandfather really difficult to write, so much so I axed the whole character from the MS after draft 1 and replaced him with her uncle

@tumblr What's even the point to having Tumblr compared to Instagram or Twitter now that they got rid of backdating
I might as well not even bother being on here anymore this just sucks

Backdated from here on out.
Everything that's on this blog before this date and time has been backdated and transferred from Twitter (@A260815). Everything is pretty much identical aside from a few stylistic choices that I've made now that I have the option of formatting and more characters per post. I was never really a Twitter person before Musk got his hands on it, and I'm making my happy retreat back to this hellsite where I can work easier and not worry about whatever the fuck is going on over there.
Backdating isn't complete by the time I'm posting this, but I should finish it by the end of the week at the latest.

Congratulations to TOS Kirk/Spock shippers, thee original slash fandom that is only getting stronger with time. Let's get this bread in 2024.
Edit: It's annoying the shit out of me that this is circulating with an interpretation I don't think is supported by data (see this), and then I remembered it's my blog and I can be petty if I want to. No more reblogs.

Hey the-day-wys is backdating posts to look years older then they really are. Remember how I said scammers do this to look more legitimate and then get defensive if you call them out? What’s worse is this person is claiming to need help getting their family out of Palestine while being very deceptive like this. This blog is only a day old, be careful. It’s pretty much likely just another scammer stealing content off Facebook but I haven’t found a source but they show all signs of just being a scam.
(Post link to show the backdated proof.)
As of 5/8/2024 they are now under daysu2d -> changed to daysuex.
As of 5/10/2024 they are under daysurx.
