Thinking about how a lot of fics I read have the hc that pon farr usually hits for the first time when the Vulcan is 28

A Vulcan not being able to buy chocolate because the bartender looked up when each species is considered an adult and saw that it’s technically 28 (as in they reach sexual maturity at that age but. because it’s Vulcan info. it’s not clarified at all) for Vulcans so it denied them for “being a minor still” and their coworkers overhear the exchange and are freaking out about it

Now, because my brain hates me!, I’m imagining Vulcans in that position of choosing the person they love or a group of people to save and them obviously choosing the group because that’s the most logical option but being completely ripped to shreds on the inside while they look blank on the outside, and just,, other people who were friends with the loved one breaking down, sobbing and screaming and asking them how could they just “coldly” choose not to save them, while the Vulcan stays silent because all their energy is going into not breaking down themselves

I thought about sifloop a lot while making this so....... its not NECESSARILY a sifloop animatic...... you can interpret them how you'd like to here.... but i will tag as such in case i drew them yearning for each other a bit TOO much.......

anywayy I used @remxedmoon 's BEAUTIFUL color palettes for everyone here (and took inspiration from their human loop design too) and u should go gawk at the beauty like i have on several occasions, i loved coloring the characters like this

The Justice League summon the Ghost King for aid in something.

What they got wasn't the ghost king.

What they got was a boy standing inside of the circle, a mug held in one hand and eyes closed as if he just got out of bed.

"Father isn't," The boy yawned, reaching a hand under his pajama shirt to scratch at his stomach. "Available right now. You can try again in the next, uh. I don't know? Eon or something?"

The boy took a sip from his mug, his face instantly turning sour as he removed the mug from his lips at swallowed, he looked down at his drink with squinted eyes as he reached a hand up to scratch at his black hair. "Of all the thing he could've given me, did it have to be lemon tea? He didn't even add sugar or milk, the fruitloop."

The boy groaned.

The boy then turned his squinted gaze towards them, before blinking rapidly and putting his hand in his pants pocket. "Ooookay, I will admit." He averted his eyes to the shield, a bit of awkwardness leaking into his body language. "You weren't who I expect to be, you know." He gestured with the hand hold the mug. "Summoning an eldritch being of death from beyond the veil and all that, but hey!" He shrugged. "You're the Justice League so you can do that... probably."

The boy took another sip, face turning sour as he swallowed. "Ancients, I really need to ask for sugar next time. Anywho," The boy then stares back at them.

"Are you going to send me back home or what?"

Separated Halves

There’s something wrong. Ever since that accident with his parents’ new device, Danny can’t transform into his ghost form.

Heck, he can’t even his powers at all. Not even the ghost sense.

Even with access to his parents’ ghost hunting devices (which have helpfully (if inexplicably) stopped targeting him), can he really protect Amity Park like this?

There’s something wrong. Ever since that accident with his parents’ new device, Phantom can’t transform into his human form.

And to make things worse, he has no idea where he is, either. He’s never heard of “Gotham City” before, nor has he been able to find Amity Park on any of the maps he stole borrowed unofficially from the library.

He might have better luck going on a computer, but they’re currently locked down for the night and he wouldn’t exactly blend in during the day. Even with invisibility, someone could still notice his actions on the computer.

He could maybe overshadow someone to use as a disguise, but that could bring attention to him too, even if he tries to make it quick.

The last thing he needs is ghost hunters after his head. Sure, he’d probably win, but it’d waste time and there’s no reason to risk it in a situation like this.

He’s already waiting for the other shoe to drop and some ghost to come at him for entering their haunt unannounced. A city with emotions as heavy as this must surely have some ghosts. (right?)

Well, no matter what, he has to pick a course of action soon. He can’t afford to leave his haunt Amity Park unprotected for too long. The mere thought of his haunt home at risk while he wasn’t there to help burned at his core.

He shoved the anxious feelings down and forced his form to stabilize. His emotions were running higher than normal here, but he could control himself.

He was fine. He would find Amity Park. He would get back. He would.

He had to.

His obsession couldn’t take any other outcome.

for some silly headcanons i like to think that the twins grow up wanting a lot of piercings cus they think lightbulb’s and paintbrush’s look really cool.

also they grow JUST a bit taller than red 40, bc what’s the oldest child curse if not to be shorter than your younger siblings? (shortest eldest siblings rise up 🙏💔) but also they all get their dad’s shortness 😔

Do you ever think about how when BMO plays pretend, they favor nomadic/loner roles like a cowboy, a hard-boiled detective, a traveling salesperson, etc., which is pretty in line with their directive from Mo. But when they really are on their own (eg in BMO Lost) they immediately, desperately establish a family from their surroundings.

And how one of those universal struggles of people, especially in the context of growing up (including but not limited to childhood) is dependence vs. independence. Wanting a hand to hold and wanting to be able to drop it at will. And how some people need to hold that hand less often than others, and how some people really don’t want to even when they really need to.

Finn and Jake get frustrated with each other and try to solve a dungeon separately, only to be met at every turn with a challenge that they can’t face without the other. Marceline travels for a thousand years and settles down here and there and picks back up because the people around her aren’t constant so she doesn’t want to be either. PB and IK each create an entire kingdom because they’re lonely, and neither of them feel whole because, just like the quarters of Ooo in Elements, living in those kingdoms is too much like living inside their own heads.

Every episode of Distant Lands is about characters who both resent and long for the versions of themselves they used to be— the versions who needed other people, the versions who could still insist they didn’t — and have to reconcile with the fact that they never really stopped being those people, but also that they can never really be those people again.

Every major character in the series is building connections and love and safety using whatever tools they have, and distancing themselves with equal effort. So they’re all kind of just alternating between playing cowboy and playing house, figuring out how to balance both and where they fit in between.
