UGHHH i still wish we knew what yb was thinking here like… that wordless panel of him in the first page conveys so much unspeakable emotions? like we know first and foremost he needs ryou to stay alive for the end of his plan but that panel implies that there’s more to his thoughts than what he’s revealing

as much as i’d like to fuel my “big brother yami bakura” agenda and say that he's protecting ryou because some part of him has come to care for ryou, i feel it's more that though his morals are very... questionable, there's a part of yb that's retained tkb's disdain for injustice against innocent/powerless people... which is a bit ironic considering just a few chapters ago he literally killed kozuka LMFAO, but he's been shown explicitly saying that if someone's useful to him then he'll leave them alive and even go as far as to help them as long as it also benefits him (dungeon dice monsters arc). i still think this idea works for him if you do consider his actions in ddm, where he went out of his way to ensure that yugi made it out alive even if he could have just as easily relied on someone else to do it if he hated atem so much

so tl;dr: yb hates when innocent people are harmed... unless he's the one doing it LOL

Is it black paint on your eyes or did you just not sleep enough?

I used to beg my mom to put makeup on me as a kid and my sister and I would pretend we were rockstars. As a teen, I started learning how to apply make up on myself, and with the style I was going for, being an amateur helped quite a a bit. I stopped wearing it all at some point. Not sure why I was so embarrassed by it.

I guess I'm getting back into it though, same with having my piercings in. I feel more confident with them all. If that even makes sense.

I should get some more sleep though, I just don't really have the time

when Yugi and Atem talk to each other whichever one is not currently embodied appears all floaty and translucent next to them. but i think its a very important distinction that the bakuras never speak like this. every time YB speaks to Bakura he is always depicted as a disembodied voice coming from the ring, and the handful of times YB is depicted as a floaty ghost the strong implication is that Bakura cannot see him. likewise there is no point I can recall where Atem talks to Yugi as a disembodied voice like YB does--Atem doesn't speak without the appearance of a mouth, either by taking a turn with the body or producing the apparition of one. one can speculate on what this difference is meant to communicate (Yugi and Atem's stronger connection? the author giving Atem a face to communicate his humanity compared to YB's alien lack thereof? Atem is personally more comfortable communicating in a human-looking way, a hangup YB doesn't have? Atem uses his host's appearance for himself in a way YB isn't as attached to doing?) but it feels like a very deliberate distinction.
