actually no I think it’d be really funny if my hs s/i and my ygo s/i switched places

Alternate universe where D is a football player because I can honestly see it 😂
They'd still be FwB with MC, who's a cheerleader (I love cliches heh). But at one of their final matches, they immediately run to MC after winning and kisses them in front of everyone. I've been thinking about this a lot
the locker room smelled like a nauseating mixture of sweat and antiseptic. there was an overall nervous energy in the whole area because of the upcoming game: the biggest of the season.
yale (bulldogs) vs princeton (tigers). the oldest college football rivalry in america since 1873. truthfully though? you really did not have that as your priority at the moment.
D’s shoulders were tense as they leaned against the row of lockers, their football gear half on, half off, like they couldn’t decide if they were gearing up for the game or gearing up for this conversation with you. you stood in front of them, your arms crossed, trying to hide the way your voice wavered as you spoke.
“why are we even doing this if it doesn’t mean anything to you?” you asked, your words sharper than you’d intended. you didn’t want to sound hurt, but the cracks were already showing and you hated yourself even more for it. “you said you loved me, D. was that a joke?”
D flinched, their jaw tightening.
“it wasn’t a joke,” they muttered, not meeting your eyes. “you know it wasn’t.“
“then what the hell is this?” you gestured between the two of you, the space that felt both too close and too far apart. “why can’t you just—” you stopped, biting back the lump rising in your throat. “why can’t you just be fair to us for once?”
D ran a hand through their damp brown hair, their helmet still sitting on the bench behind them. “because it’s complicated, alright? i’m really not good at this. i don’t know how to—”
“how to what?” you interrupted, your voice breaking. “how to be with someone who actually loves you? how to let yourself care about someone? how to not be a complete asshole?”
their silence was worse than any answer they could have given. you felt the sting of it like a slap.
“forget it,” you said, your voice quieter now, resigned. “this isn’t worth it. i’m not worth it, apparently. not to you.”
“don’t say that,” D said quickly, their voice low and rough, but before they could step toward you, the door opened, and your cheer teammates poked their heads in.
“hey, come on!” one of them called, her tone light but urgent. “we’ve gotta go!”
you hesitated, your gaze flicking between D and the exit. you wanted them to say something—anything—that would make you stay, that would make you believe this wasn’t just another dead end. but they didn’t.
so you left, letting the door swing shut behind you, leaving D standing there with their heart in their throat and everything unsaid on their tongue.
***
the stadium was alive in a way that almost felt sentient, the roar of the crowd reverberating through the air, through the ground, through your chest.
the cheer routine was designed to dazzle; full of sharp, explosive movements, tight formations, and splits that skimmed the edge of possibility. every count of the eight-beat rhythm had its place: a high V at one, a perfectly synchronized clap at three, a ripple of tumbling that broke apart and came back together like a flock of birds midflight.
there wasn’t room for hesitation. you had drilled it for weeks, the choreographer shouting corrections until the moves were muscle memory. your body knew what to do, even if your mind was stuck somewhere else.
somewhere else was D.
you couldn’t see them from the sidelines, not at first. the field was a mass of bodies, yale’s blue and white clashing violently with princeton’s orange and black, and it all blurred together under the floodlights.
the roar of the crowd pressed against you, a wall of sound that rattled your ribs, the kind of noise that demanded participation. you gripped your pom-poms tightly, smiling like your heart wasn’t threatening to give out, and launched into the first set of motions.
high kick. clap. shimmy. back handspring.
on the outside, you looked flawless, exactly like what the crowd wanted: all energy and excitement, no cracks in the façade. on the inside, your chest was a knot, the fight with D replaying on an endless loop in your head like a broken VHS tape.
the pyramid was next, the most complicated part of the routine. the bases braced themselves, strong and steady, while the flyers climbed onto their hands. you were in the middle, the top of the pyramid, the highest point for the crowd to see. it was a position of trust. you had to believe your teammates wouldn’t let you fall. it wasn’t something you usually thought about, but tonight, the irony cut deeper than you wanted to admit.
when you extended into the final pose, one leg straight, one bent, arms raised, your eyes landed on D for the first time.
they were in the huddle, standing tall as the team circled around them and the coach, their helmet tucked under one arm. the older man was shouting something you couldn’t hear, D’s face fierce with focus. you wanted to stay angry, but instead, you felt your chest tighten.
D was magnetic in the way they moved, their command of the team absolute. you hated how much you still wanted to be near them, how much your body betrayed you even when your heart was screaming.
the pyramid dismounted, your teammates catching you as you came down. you barely noticed the applause; you were too busy watching D jog onto the field for the first play.
***
D’S POV
D glanced toward the sideline. toward you. again.
it was ridiculous, the way you could disarm them from thirty yards away. you weren’t even looking at them. your head was bent close to one of your friend’s, your pom-poms hanging loosely in your hands. you were supposed to be listening to your captain, but D could see the faint smile on your lips, the way you kept sneaking glances toward the field like you weren’t paying attention at all.
like your eyes were searching for D.
D tore their eyes away before anyone could notice. they didn’t need their teammates teasing them about this—not right now. it was bad enough that their chest felt like it was caving in every time they saw you, bad enough that your fight before the game was still fresh in their head, your voice sharp and shaking, your words a blade sliding between their ribs.
why can’t you just be fair to us?
the truth was, they didn’t know how to. not the right way. not in a way that didn’t make them feel like they were standing naked in a room full of strangers, every scar and bruise and ugly thing about them laid bare.
you deserved better than the mess that they were. you deserved someone who didn’t flinch at the idea of love. someone who could give you everything without being afraid they’d ruin it before it began.
but even as they told themselves that, D knew they couldn’t let you go. not really. not ever.
“alright, team,” coach barked, snapping D back to the present. “this is it. princeton’s undefeated this season, but so are we. you want to be champions? prove it. show everyone you’ve got what it takes.”
the team roared their agreement, slapping helmets and clapping shoulders, the kind of camaraderie that made D feel grounded and restless all at once. they shoved their helmet on and jogged out to the field, their cleats digging into the turf, their breath coming steady and sharp.
they could do this. for the team, for the win, for yale.
no.
for you.
***
the first quarter passed in a blur of plays and hits, the kind of bone-rattling intensity that left D’s hands shaking with adrenaline. they took the snap, rolled back, dodged a tackle by inches, and launched the ball downfield.
the crowd erupted as yale’s receiver caught it just shy of the endzone, but D didn’t stop to celebrate. their eyes found you again, like a compass always pointing to their north star.
you were clapping, your pom-poms bouncing, but there was something off about your gorgeous smile. it didn’t reach your eyes, and D knew it was their fault. they’d put that ache there, and it killed them to see it.
focus. they had to focus.
***
the second quarter was worse. princeton’s defense was relentless, their linemen big enough to make D feel small—a very uncomfortable thing. every play felt like a war, every hit a reminder of how close they were to losing. the score was tied at halftime, and the locker room was a mess of noise and sweat and tension.
“get your head in the game, diaconu,” their coach snapped, pulling D aside as the team filed out. “you’re playing like you’ve got something else on your mind. whatever it is, leave it in here. got it?”
“got it,” D said, even though they didn’t.
they didn’t leave it in the locker room. they carried it back onto the field, where it sat heavy in their chest, driving them forward and holding them back all at once.
you were watching. D could feel your eyes on them every time they stepped up to the line, every time they called a play. it made them want to be better, to play harder, to show you that they weren’t just a coward who couldn’t say the words you needed to hear.
it wasn’t enough to just win. they had to earn you back.
***
YOUR POV
you watched in horror as princeton’s linebacker, a hulking person who looked more suited for professional wrestling than college football, blindsided D after a throw.
it was a dirty hit, helmet to helmet, and D went down hard. you froze, pom-poms slack in your hands, as the crowd erupted in boos. for a second, D didn’t move, and your chest seized with panic. but then they rolled onto their side, their hand going to their helmet, and relief flooded through you so fast it made you dizzy.
they got up, wobbling slightly, and waved off the trainers who tried to check on them.
your fingers dug into the plastic of your pom-poms, the edges biting into your skin. you wanted to scream at them to stop being so stubborn, to let someone take care of them for once. but you were stuck on the sidelines, powerless to do anything but watch.
it was the last quarter and the score was tied, and every play felt like life or death. the crowd was on its feet, the noise deafening, as D took the snap for the final play. they dropped back, scanning the field, their movements precise and fluid. princeton’s defense was closing in, but D didn’t flinch. and then, with a leap that seemed to defy gravity, they threw the ball downfield.
touchdown.
the stadium erupted. the crowd screamed. the cheer squad jumped and waved their pom-poms like their life depended on it, but you couldn’t move. you just stood there, your heart pounding, your eyes locked on D.
they ripped off their helmet, their face flushed and damp with sweat, and for a moment, they let their teammates surround them, clapping them on the back, shouting their praise. but D’s eyes were searching, scanning the sidelines, until they found you.
and then they ran.
it wasn’t graceful or dramatic—it was desperate and urgent, like they couldn’t get to you fast enough. the crowd blurred around you, the noise fading into a dull hum, as D closed the distance between you.
they didn’t stop when they reached you, just grabbed you and pulled you into their arms, burying their face in your shoulder like they were afraid to let go. you could feel their heartbeat racing, their chest heaving as they caught their breath.
“i’m sorry,” D said, their voice muffled against your uniform. “i’m so sorry. i’m an idiot. i was scared, okay? i love you and i didn’t want to screw this up. i didn’t want to screw you up.”
you pulled back just enough to look at them, their gray eyes raw and unguarded, and you felt your own walls crumbling rapidly.
“you love me?” you asked, your voice barely a whisper.
D nodded, their hands gripping your arms like you might vanish if they let go.
“i do. i love you,” they said, their voice cracking. “i love you so much it scares the hell out of me.”
you didn’t even realize you were crying until D’s thumb brushed a tear off your cheek. you let out a shaky laugh, leaning into them.
“i’m still supposed to be mad at you,” you said, but there was no heat in it.
D smiled, and it was the kind of smile that made your chest ache.
“yeah,” they said. “but can you be mad at me and be completely mine?”
you nodded, choking back a sob as you wrapped your arms around their neck, pulling them into a kiss. the noise of the crowd surged back in, louder than ever, and it mingled with D and your teammates hollering suddenly. but it didn’t matter. nothing mattered except D’s lips on yours, their hands on your waist, the way they held you like you were their centre of gravity.
when you finally pulled back, D rested their forehead against yours, their breath warm against your skin.
“will you still be cheering for me, baby?” they asked, their voice soft but hopeful.
you laughed through your tears, pressing another kiss to their lips. “always.”

The Health Benefits of Basmati Rice: Why It’s Good for You
Tumblr media
When it comes to healthy eating, choosing the right type of rice is key, and basmati rice stands out as one of the best options. Renowned for its unique aroma and delicate texture, basmati rice has been a staple in many cuisines for centuries. But beyond its taste and culinary appeal, basmati rice also offers numerous health benefits, making it a great addition to your diet. Let’s dive into why basmati rice is good for you and how it can contribute to a balanced, nutritious lifestyle.
1. Rich in Nutrients
Basmati rice, particularly the brown variety, is a great source of essential nutrients. It contains vitamins such as B1 (thiamine) and B3 (niacin), both important for energy production and nervous system health. Additionally, basmati rice is rich in minerals like magnesium, phosphorus, and selenium, which support overall well-being, including healthy bones and immunity.
2. Low Glycemic Index
One of the standout features of basmati rice is its low glycemic index (GI). The GI measures how quickly foods raise blood sugar levels. Basmati rice has a moderate GI, which means it causes a slower and steadier increase in blood sugar compared to other types of rice. This makes it a favorable option for people with diabetes or those looking to manage their blood sugar levels more effectively.
3. High in Fiber (Especially Brown Basmati Rice)
Fiber is crucial for digestive health, and basmati rice, especially in its brown form, is a good source of this essential nutrient. Brown basmati rice retains its bran layer, which provides a higher fiber content compared to white rice. Fiber aids in digestion, promotes bowel regularity, and helps control cholesterol levels, making it a heart-healthy choice.
4. Gluten-Free and Easy to Digest
Basmati rice is naturally gluten-free, making it an excellent choice for individuals with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease. Its light texture also makes it easier to digest than other rice varieties, promoting better gastrointestinal health. Whether you have gluten intolerance or simply want a nutritious alternative, basmati rice is a great option.
5. Supports Weight Management
While basmati rice is high in carbs, its low GI and fiber content contribute to feelings of fullness and satiety. This can help prevent overeating and assist with weight management. Unlike refined carbs, basmati rice releases energy gradually, keeping you fuller for longer without causing energy crashes.
Finding the Best Basmati Rice
When shopping for basmati rice, quality matters. Many people wonder about basmati rice price 1 kg when considering their purchase. Prices can vary depending on the brand and origin, but it’s always a good idea to buy from reputable basmati rice suppliers and wholesalers to ensure that you’re getting the best quality rice. Top brands like Royal, Tilda, and Daawat are known for their premium basmati rice, so exploring best basmati rice brands can lead you to the perfect choice for both health and taste.
In conclusion, basmati rice isn’t just a delicious and aromatic staple – it’s also a nutritious food that supports various aspects of your health. From its low glycemic index to its high fiber content, incorporating basmati rice into your diet can have long-lasting benefits. So, the next time you’re at the grocery store, consider picking up a pack of basmati rice and enjoy its health-boosting qualities!

HRT Journey
I started HRT about a year ago, and the Gender Spiral Podcast was definitely a big part of coming to the decision to try it. Hearing stories of other NBs, sharing similar doubts and uncertainties about their genders made me feel more secure that all these feelings are valid, and none of them are a strong enough deterrent from trying out taking T.
Thinking back on the moment of decision, Dr. Beal's take on the number of things you're excited about vs the number of things that scare you - makes so much sense! And that's pretty much how I arrived at the decision to try it. I was excited about more muscle definition around my neck, shoulders, and jaw, I was excited about stronger-looking arms, excited about a deeper voice. Not worried about body hair and more fat around the stomach. Kinda nervous about facial hair, and loss of head hair, and really hated the idea of bottom growth.
I started with a 2.5g daily dose of Testosterone Gel 1%. Improvements in mood and energy were felt almost immediately. It normalized within a few days. After a month, not noticing any physical changes I tried going up to 5.0g daily. I tried that for a month, but it got way too intense. I would get really horny, and would get random erections (?? i guess). And I hated it. It was the feeling of "bottom growth" I was worried I'd hate. This was all entangled in me coming to terms with being Ace too, so it didn't feel like me. I found that it wasn't bottom growth per se that bothered me - I just didn't want anything going on down there taking up space and attention. So I took a week break (maybe a month even) - no T at all. Until all these unwanted side effects subsided. And went back to 2.5g daily. And it all felt normal again. That's the best way I can describe it, with a small amount of T in my body I just feel normal. I would sometimes take a couple of days break after getting my period, if I was feeling overwhelmed. But mostly maintained the same dosage.
After 6 months I started noticing other physical differences. The hair on my chin and neck started to grow more. I thought it would bother me more - but it's just kinda there. I've always had some facial hair and was made to feel self-conscious about it. But accepting it as part of my trans-non-binary identity helped me be like - fuck it, that's just my body, it has hair places - deal with it. So I let it grow, and shave every couple of days. I got a fancy safety razor, and i actually really enjoy using it. And it all feels normal. I also noticed more definition around my neck, shoulders, and jaw. My voice started to drop a bit. Although I can still hit the same old high pitches, it's just the relaxed register is lower now. It feels more mucousy and nasally - but not in a bad way. After getting over a cold recently - I thought my voice was still hoarse - but then I was like - oh yeah, that's just my trans voice… something that I wasn't really expecting or thinking about (but makes sense in hindsight) the way my body smells changed. And I think the new smell bothers me less… my head hair actually started to grow back at my temples and the sides of my forehead. I was worried about additional hair loss, because I was already experiencing some, but now I think it may have been more anxiety-related, and getting a handle on that helped. My hair is still pretty thin at the top of my forehead, but with a good haircut, it doesn't bother me much.
My periods never stopped, which is a bummer. Not a fan of periods. When I was still trying to get a handle on my anxiety, period-time would be extra hard, and I'd often feel dizzy. It's better now - with T and a mix of anxiety meds. But still a work in progress. I'm trying the Slynd birth control pill to help with the periods. A bit nervous that it would counteract the T too much - since I'm on such a low dose already. But so far seems fine - and I have not needed to take a break from T during my last period, which is cool. But we'll see how it goes.
I think because I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, and had elevated levels of T at puberty - I wasn't too bothered by the changes my body was going through then. I was just having a hard time fitting into the idea of "girl" everyone tried to squeeze me into. But when I got older, the cysts went away and my T levels dropped, the way I was aging didn't feel right anymore. I stopped looking at myself in the mirror because I didn't recognize the person looking back anymore, and I much preferred my reflection in other people - through the eyes of people I loved and loved me. But it was getting really hard to connect with my own body. I simply couldn't see what they were seeing. I looked so jaded in the first video of myself I made to track my progress. I am so much happier now. I'm exploring new fashion, and it's fun again. I recognize myself in the mirror, and I like what I'm seeing. I'm still aging - and that is a gift in its own right - but the way I am aging makes sense now. I just feel normal.
I'm thinking about top surgery next. The boobs gotta go. They just don't make sense on my body anymore. I'm taking my time figuring it all out. I'm nervous about getting a major surgery. But the more I've been reading about it, the more right it feels.
I don't think I'm done transitioning, I don't think we ever truly arrive at a "final form". You just kinda go with the flow, and what feels right. But I do feel more secure in my identity now. And that's huge, honestly.

Authority (Inner Guidance) in Human Design
(also available to read for free on Patreon: here)
The mind likes games. The mind can turn against you. The mind is constantly being distorted by outside influences. The mind doesn't even know the difference between a real and imagined threat. And with all this going on...the entire reality of the individual is shaped by the mind.
That's why in Human Design we are taught to seek the authority of another source. For long enough in our world, the mind has been accoladed and thought to be the powerhouse of the human being. We say it's why we are better than any other animal out there. We say that's why we have been able to construct this world we live in. But isn't it also reason we are so foolish and have made a mess of the world? Human Design takes this more nuanced perspective of the mind.
The mind is not our enemy, but it is not our saving grace either.
So, what is an authority exactly?
An authority is the trustworthy tool for making decisions that are soul-aligned. It helps give us guidance in addressing our body, its needs, and our strategy (= how one best navigates life according to HD).
Tumblr media
There are 7 kinds of authorities in Human Design (check your chart to determine which is your authority: learn how to find & read your chart here). The authorities work in tandem with your aura and strategy (read more here):
1) Sacral Authority:
WHAT ITS LANGUAGE IS: guttural responses, gut feelings, butterflies in stomach, sinking/uneasy feelings in stomach, feelings of being turned on/off, a spark or deadening of energy, an energetic pull towards/away from a situation
HOW TO GET MORE FLUENT IN IT: allow yourself to express yourself in less verbal methods - pay attention when you want to say “uh-huh,” “nah,” "uh-uh," “meh,” "hmm," “uhh,” "yeah," "yep," "yuck" - make obvious your feelings through groaning, humming, sighing, whimpering, and other immediate utterances - notice how annoyances vs obligations vs passions make you feel (emotionally & in a bodily sense)
WHEN TO RESPOND: in the present moment, as the sacral authority responds immediately to yes/no questions and situations in the Now
2) Emotional Authority:
WHAT ITS LANGUAGE IS: emotional highs, lows, and in-betweens; emotional reactivity; the full spectrum of emotions; an emotional wave that eventually settles
HOW TO GET MORE FLUENT IN IT: accept and observe your emotions with non-judgment & also the recognition that they hold wisdom for decision-making (provided you respond in the right time period) - step away from needing to logically analyze your emotions - don't feel pressured to make immediate decisions and create the space to take the time to make sound decisions ("I'll have to think a bit longer") - remember that life can't pass you by; experiences and opportunities are a fact of life
WHEN TO RESPOND: in the appropriate space of time, as the emotional authority may tempt you to make decisions with low clarity in the height of an emotional wave spike. Be sure to check you aren't deciding from intense fear, grief, joy, or anger, because in the next moment, you may entirely disagree with the choice you made. As you start becoming more familiar with your emotional patterns, you will learn when your emotions are mellowed enough to make what will be an aligned decision.
3) Splenic Authority:
WHAT ITS LANGUAGE IS: intuitive hits, downloads, alert perceptions, instinctual/survival impulses
HOW TO GET MORE FLUENT IN IT: cultivate a keen awareness of the body, as the voices of the mind and emotions may seem to drown out this quieter voice of the spleen - work on nervous system regulation (to avoid fear and overarousal clouding your awareness of this authority) - remain in a state of deep listening and do not only look for logically validated guidance or wait for your impulses to "make sense" before making decisions - accept more spontaneity and flow in your life
WHEN TO RESPOND: in the very moment, as the splenic authority provides spontaneous and instantaneous guidance that can easily be forgotten if ignored or not given the proper attention
4) Ego Authority:
WHAT ITS LANGUAGE IS: verbalization in [near] solitude (until it is determined if you have the energy and will to perform a certain task); surges or pitfalls of energy/willpower
HOW TO GET MORE FLUENT IN IT: talk aloud to yourself with the utmost honesty (if needed, use another person as a listening ear provided they will not distort your verbalizations) - learn how it sounds and feels when you speak your truth - respect when you simply do not have the energy, will, or desire to engage in something
WHEN TO RESPOND: once you realize your energy levels for said task, as the ego authority has a knowledge of your stores of energy and desires
5) G/Self-Projected Authority:
WHAT ITS LANGUAGE IS: verbalization in [near] solitude (until you get a sense of your true inner voice and ideas on a topic); sense of being pulled by your heart/along the golden thread
HOW TO GET MORE FLUENT IN IT: talk through things alone, in a mirror, or with a distanced person (eg. over a phone call; provided they will not distort your verbalizations) - learn how it sounds and feels when you speak your truth vs regurgitated opinions - remember that you have a unique opinion (just like everyone else)
WHEN TO RESPOND: once you realize that you are speaking from your authentic voice (following your inner truth), as the G/self-projected authority guides you towards the direction of your true self
6) No Inner Authority:
WHAT ITS LANGUAGE IS: emergent epiphanies from 1-on-1 conversations
HOW TO GET MORE FLUENT IN IT: determine a handful of people with whom you can count on to be non-judgmental listeners and engage in open-ended conversation - practice present in conversations and reflect intently on them (journaling may be useful) - notice when your personal voice and impressions are being expressed
WHEN TO RESPOND: once you feel you've had enough conversations and gained enough clarity, as the lack of an inner authority requires reflective and cumulative observation of yourself under varied environmental, planetary, and human influences
7) Lunar Authority:
WHAT ITS LANGUAGE IS: thoughts, feelings, and impressions that shift over the period of a 28-day lunar cycle* (equivalent to the completion of passing through all 64 gates of the human design chart)
HOW TO GET MORE FLUENT IN IT: cultivate an observatory practice that aligns with the lunar cycle - remember that life can't pass you by; experiences and opportunities are a fact of life - try to move slow and maintain a reflective sort of life so that you can balance observation of yourself and the world around you - notice when your personal voice and impressions are being expressed
WHEN TO RESPOND: once the lunar cycle has ended*, as a lack of closed energy centers allows you to continuously extract the wisdom of all that is around you (the exterior world, according to HD, can be said to have a cyclical pattern of influences that repeats every recurs every 28-days)
*this full cycle of time is used mostly for major decisions. Once you become familiar with the cyclical influence of the moon & gates, waiting the entire 28/29-day period may not always be necessary.
next time, we'll be talking about the not-self and what that means, so that we can get into discussion of the energy centers!
stay tuned

For the usual suspects @rain-hat and @elderflowergin and a not-suspicious at all anon :D
From Behind the Scenes of Fic Writing: 30 Questions for Authors
1. What was the first fandom and/or pairing that you wrote fic for?
This was a Draco/Hermione fic that I only shared with few friends via email! :))
2. Do you participate in any writing events or challenges throughout the year? If so, what do you like about them?
Unfortunately, no! Mostly because I am absolutely terrible at working around deadlines when it comes to fic, and also I have a lot of anxiety around whether I’ll ever finish the fics I start writing.
3. Do you write fics from start or finish, or jump around?
Hmm, I usually don’t jump around between fics, but sometimes when I’m writing a long fic, I take a break and doodle something shorter. But this is quite rare, because it takes me a while to get into the “zone” when I’m writing a fic and I’m nervous to break that and try something else in case I never get my mojo back for the fic I started with.
4. Do you outline before you start writing? If so, how far do you stray from that outline?
I start outlining about a quarter way through the fic, usually! I only have the vaguest idea of plot when I start out, usually, and it takes me a chapter or three to get things clearer in my head. But once I am writing fairly steadily, then I find it useful to make an outline so that a) I don’t forget to put in things and b) I feel good about tracking progress.
My outline does keep changing- I’d say, I stray about 20-25% from it in terms of no of chapters planned vs what gets written; but not really much in terms of the main story/ events.
5. What is the perfect environment for you to write in?
This question made me miss my old life (when I was living alone): I miss the table I used to write at, and the window I would stare out of, the curtains fluttering in the almost constant breeze, and the quiet. But the truth is, I can write anywhere- a coffee shop, a train compartment, in my bed- what’s critical is that I need to be left completely alone for a few hours at a stretch.
6. If you’re really concentrating, how many words can you write in a day?
I haven’t really tracked this as such, but I know that I wrote about 3-4k almost every day when I was doing an episode coda format fic for Serenade of Peaceful Joy as it was airing. But that kind of writing is unusual for me;  I’d say maybe 2-3k if I’m left completely alone and don’t distract myself.  But it’s not really the word count that matters, is it? If I write a drabble (100 words!) that I’m happy with, after thinking about it for the whole day, I’m good with that too.
7. Which part of writing do you struggle with most?
I’m very bad at editing.
8. Do you listen to music while you write? If so, share a song that’s been inspiring you lately.
I don’t like to listen while I’m writing because it’s distracting, but in the last year or two, I’ve taken to making playlists to listen to while I think about fic. Of late, it’s been a bunch of David Bowie songs, especially Starman, for a fic I’m thinking about.
9. Do you prefer to write AUs, canon divergence, or canon-compliant fic?
I think all fic is somewhat “AU” from the canon; but if you’re asking whether I would write a High School AU for hmm, Supernatural, for eg, then NO.  That said, I have done precisely this in one fandom- not high school au, but “modern” au for a period drama- but it was because it was low energy and effort, and that was all I had the bandwidth for at the time.  I usually like writing fic within the canon universe which attracted my attention in the first place.  I often enjoy writing post canon fics, which would be like 95-100% canon compliant; and in some cases I like making a specific canon divergence, which then makes the whole thing “au”, I guess.
10. Do you enjoy writing dialogue, exposition, or plot the most?
I don’t really think of writing or the joy I derive from it in this way though- I mean in these buckets- so I’m not sure whether I can answer this question. I realize that my fics tend to be dialogue heavy because I have tv show brainrot. Do I enjoy writing dialogue? Sometimes! When it’s going smoothly! :)
11. If you could only write angst, fluff, or smut for the rest of your life, which would it be?
I think my wheelhouse is “bittersweet”, so it’s always going to be an angst+ fluff combo, maybe? I LIVE for the day when I’ll be able to write a good PwP, which, I think, is much harder to do than most people guess.
12. Is there a trope you haven’t written yet but really want to?
I keep thinking of writing some kind of platonic soulmate-fic for various canons, but I haven’t got around to it.
13. Is there a trope you wouldn’t write if it was the last trope on earth?
Is Omegaverse a trope or a genre? I wouldn’t write it ever. Also, let’s face it, High school/ college/ coffee shop etc. (I hated college, what is WRONG with all of you!!!)
14. If you were stuck on a desert island with only two characters, which would you pick?
Nobody. I want that island and its solitude all to myself, thanks.
15. A Hollywood producer tells you that they want to film just one of your fics. Which fic would you want it to be?
It can’t be a Hollywood producer, because they would just ruin it, but if anyone wants to make Terms of Surrender,  I think that’s the most movie-like. Artist Company, you can have this FOR FREE.
16. What is your most underrated fic?
Hmm, I’m not sure what this question really means- should I consider kudos/ comments as a measure? I end up writing niche pairings in small fandoms, so I think that’s a double whammy; but in a medium sized fandom like Beyond Evil, I sure wish more people read “Deer Heart” rather than “Cat Whisperer”. My best writing was for Serenade of Peaceful Joy, which nobody watched, and so maybe three people read the fic.
17. What fic are you most proud of?
I can’t really answer this, I think. All of my fic is very personal to me, and while I know the quality of the writing varies *wildly *, I’m proud that they exist. Ok, NOT Cat Whisperer or A Soul Divided, but even those I side-eye because I think kdrama fandom has bad taste, not because they’re inherently awful. :p
18. What is a line/scene you’re really proud of? Give us the DVD commentary for that scene.
Again, there are lots of little bits scattered across all my fic that I love. I love the ending of Inventing Love which I typed directly into AO3 like a madwoman - while waiting for Rain to finish writing the sequel because we wanted to read each other’s fics together; I love Gon getting high on pot brownies and dancing to Black Pink in Destiny’s Child, and talking to his horse when he’s at his lowest;  I love Miranda Barlow asking Thomas Hamilton whether he would have preferred if she had a cock for him to swallow in  May it Happen to me (all) ,  a line I didn’t know I was going to write until I was typing it; I love all the letters between the halmeonis in Terms of Surrender, especially the last one from Geowi to Kkachi, and I wrote each one of them through a blur of tears where I could barely see the screen; in Moon River, I love Do-chul and Hong-gi sharing a cigarette and being so in love with each other, thinking about what the future holds for them, while the titular song plays faintly in the background; I love Park Pyung-ho wounded and exhausted, leaving the lights on so that Jeong-do wouldn’t hesitate to knock on his door; I love Koo Seo-Ryeong texting Hyeong-min “ I made a man of you, baby, never forget “ in TMTTAL; and I love the young Kang Sin-jae ruining a perfect tea-set by smashing one of the cups in Before You Came. I remember writing these things, and I remember the feeling when I wrote them, the best feeling, when the words on the page say exactly what you want them to, even if it might get lost in translation between you and the reader.
19. Who is the easiest/hardest character for you to write about? Why?
I don’t know if I have ever found *a * particular character hard or easy to write; my trouble doesn’t lie in characters, I have difficulty with the other things- plot and description and grammar, lol.
20. What’s your favorite minor character you’ve written?
I pepper in a lot of OCs because I can get away with it in post canon fics , and it’s a great way to introduce women into male-dominated canons. Off the top of my head, I love the female OCs I sneaked into This Suspect Edifice (Yejun’s colleague and friend Kim Sang-mi), Deer Heart (Sister Lee Sun-ja and Jeong-je’s therapist Dr. Kim Jung-hee) and recently Choe Yeo-reum from  Terms of Surrender and “Hwasal” from Juche.
21. What is the one fic that got away?
2020′s Tell me the Truth About Love developed an entire universe of its own without so much as asking me; this year that happened with Terms of Surrender (still writing in that universe!). But I’m more prone to letting fics get away than not because I rather enjoy it when they do.  *shrug hands emoji *
22. Have you cried while writing a fic?
Yes, absolutely, why wouldn’t I?
23. If you had to remix one of your own fics, which would it be and how would you remix it?
Oh. This is a tough one. I guess I always felt that I didn’t do justice to one of the first  stories that I wrote in The Rise of Phoenixes fandom- A Place in the World- which was a Ning Yi/Feng Zhi wei  fic. I think I would probably expand on the universe and write it from Zhi wei’s PoV.
24. How did you come up with title for [x fic]?
”Terms of Surrender started out in a google doc titled The Unified Soy Sauce Company; I think I changed it about three chapters in. I love cheesy Harlequin romance titles and this was a burst of inspiration because I was writing about lives sundered by war and borders; and Spotify randomly played  “Hallelujah” that morning. [ I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch/ love is not a victory march]
25. Which idea came to you first in [x fic]?
For Juche, it’s the reveal that happens half way through the story about how Park Pyung-ho became a spy. Well, that, and Pyung-ho buying a pair of soccer shoes for Jeong-do’s son. Don’t ask me why, I have NO idea.
26. Which part of [x fic] was the hardest to write?
I know Rain asked for recent fics, but Yeong leaving Corea in Inventing Love was so incredibly difficult to write, but I’m very proud of it.
27. If you were ever to do a sequel to [x fic], what do you think might happen in it?
If I ever write a sequel to Juche, the only thing I know for sure is that there’ll be at least one scene of them dancing in a small kitchen. [Alexa, play Unchained Melody]
28. In [x fic], what is a happy, post-fic headcanon you have about [pairing]?
In Rival, post fic verse, Min-chae adopts a dog who only loves her mean mom Na Hee-do. *shrug hands emoji *
29. Send me a word. If it’s in your WIPs, include the sentence and a short summary of the fic.
Lol, I think you’ll find an abundance of the word “huffed” in any fic of mine.
30. Tell us an idea for a longfic you want to write in the future.
I only write longfic! *sob *
My scatter-brain is hopping between several different nebulous ideas and I’m not able to settle down with any one, so I’m going to pass on this. The only thing I can say for certain is that it’ll feature people grossly in love with each other, and being completely stupid about it. * shrug hands emoji *

I knew that night that we were gonna be besties and I'm so so happy that it came true. I know I only got to be with you and your family for three days, but you all immediately made me feel so welcomed and a part of the family. Thank you for always listening to me rant, letting me give you a haul of what I bought even when it's only groceries, and letting me talk about my favorite characters and my endless celebrity crushes. hey~
hope you are having an amazing week!
how would you feel about doing a noah harris x mc request from the best vs worst prompts?
maybe 21. best day at school vs worst day at school OR 27. best game vs worst game?
hi anon! thank you for the request, #27 was fitting and allowed me to close-out the chapter of my noah x mc arc (a little bit got cut out from my outline, but at least now it's finished).
author’s note: when I got this prompt, I decided to take the outline I had written for a continuation of my other MTFL fics and retro-fit it here, which is why it’s a bit longer than typical prompt fills. this finally gave me the motivation to continue the relationship I started in “first choice” and “the perfect gift.” I also drew some real-life inspiration from patrick mahomes of the kansas city chiefs (national football league in the u.s.). enjoy!
copyright: all characters owned by pixelberry studios. series/pairing: my two first loves - noah harris x mc (emma price) rating/warnings: 13+; none based on/prompt: best vs. worst / 27. best game vs. worst game; also inspired by the song “never really over” by katy perry word count: 1.7k summary: two years after graduating college and agreeing to go their separate ways, the universe seems to want emma and noah back together.
best game vs. worst game
worst game
emma tapped her finger on her thigh nervously as she waited in her boss’s office for her first assignment. she had spent the last two years since graduating college curating a travel blog for a small magazine, which had allowed her to travel all over europe, north america, and south america – an experience she knew was probably once-in-a-lifetime.
but she was homesick and decided to return stateside once her contract was up. it didn’t take long to find a position with a professional agency that contracts photographers out for high-profile athletic and celebrity events. even as a junior photographer, she was going to have the chance to take her own photos.
her boss finally handed her a sheet of paper without so much as a glance, motioning toward the door. emma supposed she was excused then, quickly scanning the sheet as she walked out to her car. a pre-nfl charity meet-and-greet was the assignment, and if she wanted, she could stick around to take some back-up photos of the game.
seemed easy enough. except the team was the nightingales. where her ex-boyfriend was currently the quarterback.
a little over two years ago
noah gripped emma’s hand, leg thumping nervously in anticipation. his other hand held hazel’s, who wasn’t faring much better at keeping still. on the other hand, mrs. harris had sat frozen still in front of the t.v. for the last thirty minutes, and emma had to keep glancing over to make sure she was still breathing.
to say they were all on edge was an understatement. in a matter of minutes, they’d find out of noah was going to become a professional football player.
“and the twenty-third pick goes to… noah harris!”
the room filled with squeals as they all jumped up from the couch and gathered noah into a giant group hug. his arm never left emma’s waist, even as he lifted hazel off the ground in excitement.
“you’re coming with me, right?”
she avoided his gaze, choosing to hug him and duck her head underneath his chin instead.
“tonight is about you! we can talk about us tomorrow. we should be celebrating!”
emma took a deep breath and pulled her car out onto the main road, making sure her phone was navigating to the stadium. she hadn’t seen or spoken to noah since they broke up – even though he tried to understand her reasoning, which was that he needed to focus on football and she was going to be traveling constantly – and she wondered if he was still upset.
if they ran into each other, would he even acknowledge her?
her mind raced with different scenarios of how their “reunion” could go and before she knew it, she was pulling into the stadium parking lot reserved for press. you’re here to do a job, she reminded herself as she took a deep breath and made her way into the meet-and-greet area where players were speaking to and hanging out with several families and children.
she took a quick look around and sighed in relief when she didn’t see noah anywhere. she could do this.
about an hour later, she was packing up her equipment. the game would start soon and she needed to get into position. she hefted her bag onto her shoulder carefully before standing up, immediately wobbling under the weight and losing her balance.
a strong arm wrapped around her waist and steadied her.
“thank you—” her voice died in her throat as she looked up at the man that still haunted her dreams.
his eyes and face were mostly the same, but there was a hardened edge to them that wasn’t there a few years ago. his body and shoulders were much larger as well, and he pretty much overwhelmed her frame.
“hey cheerleader.”
she swallowed. “hi, noah.”
his hand lingered even as she righted herself and cleared her throat nervously.
“good luck—”
“it’s good to—”
they chuckled, tension broken for the moment as they looked into each other’s eyes.
“harris, let’s go!”
noah shoved his hands in his pockets and took a step back. “maybe we could catch up after the game, if you want to.”
her eyes brightened. “i’d love to.”
they didn’t get the chance. the world seemed to move in slow motion when emma saw noah go down in the pocket from a particularly bad tackle. he had to be carried off the field in a stretcher and it was all she could do to keep from running onto the field.
they had broken up so he could focus on his career. she hoped it wasn’t in vain.
best game
two years later
emma crouched low to the ground with her long-range camera, snapping pictures of the huddle. there was less than twenty seconds left in the game – just enough, if barely, time for one last play. they needed a touchdown. and she could feel the nervous energy in her body thrumming in time with that of the crowd.
when noah went down with that horrific injury a couple years ago, most people wrote him off and didn’t think he’d play again. and if he somehow managed to recover? they all just said he probably wouldn’t be the same. a collarbone injury was usually a career death sentence for quarterbacks.
but the media, press, and so-called sportscasters didn’t know noah like she did. how strong a fighter he was. how he picked himself back up after every setback and pushed onward.
this time, she was with him every step of the way.
that didn’t mean he had an easy go of it.
he had to get surgery and go through months of intense physical therapy to get his shoulder feeling back to normal. then he had rehab for football to try to get back into form. and there was always doubt as to whether he’d be as good as before.
the season hadn’t gone smoothly. they scraped and clawed their way to the playoffs, with opposing teams taking advantage of noah’s occasional hesitance in the pocket and conservative throwing by pressuring his position. but somehow, they pulled through.
sportscasters all over would remark about how something seemed to just “click” back into place for noah harris.
only noah and emma knew what that something was.
a few weeks earlier
“are you nervous?”
noah hummed thoughtfully as his hand trailed up and down emma’s shoulder.
“surprisingly, no,” he said after a moment. “win or lose, i have everything i’ve ever wanted right here in my arms.”
emma chuckled. “when did you become such a romantic?”
“you know you bring it out of me.”
he turned on his side so he could nuzzle his nose in her hair. “you’re it for me, babe.”
“me too, noah. i mean it. if you’ll have me forever, i want that with you.”
noah pulled back to look at her. “for real?”
she nodded.
of course, emma couldn’t say with confidence that their conversation made that big of a difference, but noah’s performance every game afterward seemed to be nothing short of miraculous. by all means, his shoulder should still be giving him trouble, but the way he was throwing today in the championship game would make anyone wonder if he had been injured at all.
but this was it. everything was riding on this last play.
they were down by three points and too far for a field goal. a touchdown would end the game and clinch the championship. the team wasn’t known for playing it safe, not with noah and his arm at the helm.
emma was glued to her camera lens and clicking away, but she was barely focused on the shots. she just hoped the footage was positioned correctly and usable. she heard noah call out the play and quickly scanned the field as players moved into position.
a hail mary.
it really was going to come down to these last few seconds.
she saw the wide receiver break through the line and speed down the field, turning back to where noah had stepped back, arm poised to throw. on instinct, emma moved her camera up and snapped the shutter, capturing the exact moment noah released the ball, right before he was tackled to the ground.
and then everything seemed to move in slow motion.
she swung the camera to the left, finding the receiver in the end zone with his arms outstretched. he jumped up and the ball came arcing directly into his arms and the stadium roared with such an intensity she thought she was going deaf.
emma quickly put away her camera and left her bag with her assistant before running on to the confetti-strewn field, weaving around reports, players, and staff.
she knew noah got tackled. she needed to see that he was okay.
despite the reporters surrounding him, she squeezed her way through and wrapped her arms around him.
“i’m so glad you’re okay,” she yelled over the stadium noise. “i knew you could do it.”
noah smiled and removed her hands from his neck. she frowned in confusion as he took a step back and dropped to one knee.
“what are you doing?”
he was holding out a ring box in his hand and she had no clue how that got there. did a trainer or someone sneak that over to him?
it didn’t matter. it didn’t matter that they were surrounded by tens of thousands of screaming fans or that this moment was likely being broadcasted live by the sheer number of cameras around them. it didn’t matter that his friends and teammates were all hollering and creating a protective circle around them.
all she could see was the love of her life looking up at her like she was the most precious thing in the world.
“the championship ring we just won today is nothing compared to what this ring means right here,” he said, opening the box to reveal a very sizable diamond.
“marry me, em?”
emma squealed, not caring that it made her look like an excited teenager.
“of course, i’ll marry you!”
noah carefully placed the ring on her finger before wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her up. he swung her around before placing her carefully back on the ground, bringing her in for a deep kiss.
“i love you,” he whispered against her lips.
“i love you too, noah,” she whispered back as they held hands and headed off the field.

FIFTH ANNIVERSARY TASK #001 ━━ big five personality traits.
Tumblr media
WORD COUNT / 405 (excluding headers & trait descriptions).
OPENNESS TO EXPERIENCE (inventive/curious vs. consistent/cautious) ━━
openness describes a person’s tendency to think in abstract, complex ways. high scorers tend to be creative, adventurous, and intellectual. they enjoy playing with ideas and discovering novel experiences. people who are high in openness tend to enjoy the arts and seek out unusual, complex forms of self-expression. / harley scored relatively high on openness, and it’s true that she tends towards involving herself in the arts scene, from when she played in a band to her current career as an idol. the capacity to express herself in novel ways is exactly what draws her in, and this is definitely something that underlies her interest in songwriting as well. also, adventurousness is definitely a key trait she embodies! she’s not the type to shy away from new experiences, in fact she’s constantly on the lookout for them.
CONSCIENTIOUSNESS (efficient/organized vs. extravagant/careless) ━━
conscientiousness describes a person’s ability to exercise self-discipline and control in order to pursue their goals. low scorers are impulsive and easily sidetracked. the concept of conscientiousness focuses on a dilemma we all face: shall i do what feels good now, or instead do what is less fun but will pay off in the future? some people are more likely to choose fun in the moment, and thus are low in conscientiousness. / of course little miss impulsive over here is going to be low in conscientiousness lmao!!! yes, she’s definitely a lot more inclined to making choices that let her have fun in the moment rather than thinking about things in the long term. spontaneity forms a huge part of harley‘s personality, but this is also a downfall for her in the sense that she might end up lacking introspection and careful thought.
EXTRAVERSION (outgoing/energetic vs. solitary/reserved) ━━
extraversion describes a person’s inclination to seek stimulation from the outside world, especially in the form of attention from other people. extraverts engage actively with others to earn friendship, admiration, power, status, excitement, and romance. extroverts are especially thrilled by victories in life, especially when they earn the attention of others. / not the way she scored almost full percentage for this trait LMAO but this is absolutely spot on for harley in the sense that she experiences the epic highs and lows of life in its highest highs and lowest lows... in other words, yes she is a drama queen. and she definitely derives energy from other people! this plays into how she constructs her identity upon her interactions other people, i’m pretty sure that without social interaction harley would just wither and die from boredom.
AGREEABLENESS (friendly/compassionate vs. critical/rational) ━━
agreeableness describes a person’s tendency to put others’ needs ahead of their own, and to cooperate rather than compete with others. people who are high in agreeableness experience a great deal of empathy and tend to get pleasure out of serving and taking care of others. they are usually trusting and forgiving. people who are low in agreeableness tend to experience less empathy and put their own concerns ahead of others. low scorers are often described as hostile, competitive, and antagonistic. / harley kind of sits in the middle for this trait, and i think it’s because she can flip between both sides depending on the context (i.e., the situation she’s in and the people she’s interacting with)! she loves taking care and being around for the people she loves, but also she can tend towards being argumentative for the sake of it if she’s in that headspace.
NEUROTICISM (sensitive/nervous vs. resilient/confident) ━━
neuroticism describes a person’s tendency to experience negative emotions, including fear, sadness, anxiety, guilt, and shame. this trait can be thought of as an alarm system. people experience negative emotions as a sign that something is wrong in the world. low neuroticism scorers are more likely to brush off their misfortune and move on. / this trait is the lowest of all her scores! while she can be quite a perfectionist at times, harley is also quite an idealistic person at her core and quite literally refuses to learn what it means to have consequences for your actions. i think that inherent sense of escapism and hedonism within her translates into naive optimism, which is why she’s less likely to fixate on the negative emotions she experiences. she just likes to be happy and will almost always be in pursuit of that, so there’s no space for negativity in here!

BTS American Hustle Life Ep8
Episode 7 recap:
It started with a basketball game; Tony, Jungkook, Jimin, and J-Hope VS Nate, Suga, V, and Jin. Tony’s team won by a point and the punishment was Nate’s team had to buy ice cream for everyone. The next day BTS were dragged out of their beds and sent away to experience ‘working for a living’. RM and Suga joined housekeeping in a hotel, Jimin and Jungkook went to an airfield where they had to clean workshops and planes, Suga, V, and Jin ended up on a yacht and had to clean, polish, and varnish it ready for an event. At the working day they got ‘paid’ and Tony told them they were going to use the money to buy food for people on Skid Row.
While the end was a really good lesson in ‘giving back’ the rest of the episode was not so good viewing. IMO they really wasted an opportunity by not telling BTS that they were going to work – if they had they probably wouldn’t have treated it like a game. If they had taken it more seriously then it would really have put the “earning money” and “giving back” aspects into proper perspective. But it was what is was.
Anyway on to the final episode!
So BTS are getting dragged out of bed again. Did they get any decent sleep this trip? Poor V – he’s been the hardest to get out of bed each time lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So their last challenge is to create the best hip hop performance they can using their learned skills.
As a band they set to work on their lyrics for regulate – I’m pretty sure they don’t normally work on lyrics altogether – too many cooks spoil the broth etc - so this maybe made it harder for them. LMAO at V who wanted to include an audience aspect with, “I say V, you say The Best” and RM saying if they weren’t on camera he would have cussed him. LOL the sass and confidence of JK putting a hand across his hyung’s (Suga’s) mouth.
Tumblr media
So Suga and RM are in charge (by rights of earning the most money last ep). Suga gives Jin and J-Hope the task of printing hand-outs, while Jimin, V, and Jungkook (the Maknae Line!) are to hand them out and promote the show.
Lol at Jungkook’s method of handing out flyers
Tumblr media
Why do I think these were the worst three to promote anything *crying with laughter emoji*. Haha V ends up being shyer than Jungkook.
Tumblr media
In fact, Jungkook does rather well with the promotion!
I like the little bit of behind the scenes where they clap to indicate the cameras are rolling. Jungkook really got into it lol. They clearly did other promotion for the show (and relied on their already established international fans?) because I’m calling it out that that amount of people were not the skills of Jimin, V, and, Jungkook on the street lol.
Tumblr media
I wonder how nervous BTS really felt about shows at this point. It’s 2014 and they’ve played in quite a few shows at this point and I think been on TV? They have even been to Japan. So they were new but not that new? No doubt there will always be some nerves ahead of a show, it’s only natural, but there’s a difference between feeling antsy and feeling ill. I wonder who out of all the band had the worst nerves and who had the least nerves and why. Questions questions.
Tumblr media
So this is really my first time seeing them perform on stage, concert style. I’ve never been much of a fan of rap but I actually quite enjoyed their music – they have some great choruses that you can’t help singing along to. What else can I say? They are well styled. Their performance is polished. Everyone sings confidently. Suga is really good at rapping. Their dancing is on point. They are a great band and it is clear why they made it.
I’m impressed at Jungkook’s stage presence – he’s confident and one of the lead vocals despite being quite shy behind the scenes. Also, I noted Jimin has some versatility to his voice! I thought he was mainly the “high vocal” of the group but I saw one bit in that concert where he had a strong middle range. I’d be interested to see him rapping.
Regulate: Turned out pretty nicely, guys! The dance challenge: Ah ha ha ha actually it was quite fun to watch. I be the audience were like ????? though lol
RM and Jimin killed their bboying. RM needs extra kudos for his efforts.
LOL, Jin and J-Hope tried with their beatboxing – lovely of Fraahz to join them on stage.
OMG Suga, V, and Jungkook’s ‘Oh Happy Day’ was great! It was polished and Jungkook, what a marvellous tone you have – he made all the notes, just cracking!!! <3
All in all, it’s clear the lads have a lot of fun on stage and it’s lovely to see their confidence shine. “Same love” was, again, polished and full of high energy, and so was “No More Dream”, it’s easy to see why BTS made it so big. They have great stage presence, their music is interesting, their performances are energetic, their personalities are fun and engaging, they all seem to really care about each other and are not afraid to show affection (which is a wonderful Korean charm), they work hard, they are polite and friendly, and they seem to have a lot of fun which means we have a lot of fun. They tick pretty much every box for success – well deserved success.
So it’s the last day and they are all packing up. They say some really nice things to Tony and Nate. It’s clear they all got on well and that the two gentlemen made it easier for the band to enjoy their time. Perhaps RM was the most honest when he said there was a lot of hardwork. I think there probably was – more than the camera showed. There was probably some home sickness in the mix as well - 21 days in a foreign country and not able to speak the language must have been quite hard.
 Overall Series Musings.
I’m not going to lie, there were some seriously cringy moments in this series and a lot of episodes I wouldn’t care to re-watch because of that. However, there were some absolutely magical moments too and some comedy gold. We got to see more of the lads’ personalities and they are thoroughly delightful; all seven of them are fun, playful, affectionate, decent, energetic, interesting, polite, charming, sassy, talented yet beautifully flawed, awkward and just perfectly human. The list is really endless, and I know I’ve fallen even more in love with them because of it. I can certainly see why they won the world over.
Things I have learned and/or observed about the members thus far: Jin is not a natural dancer but if he’s motivated – like when he didn’t want to let J-Hope down – he will work his butt off and his hard work really shows in the end. He’s quite awkward at times and that spills into some of his craft. We learned he had been working towards a career in acting before BTS and that he has a brother who is into hip hop. As the band is so busy he hasn’t even seen the families’ new house. His role in BTS at this point seems to be a bit of parent figure for the younger members.
Suga is quite nervous of woman – like unexpectedly so – worse than Jungkook! I don’t know why this surprised me so much. Does this nervousness around women mean anything? No. Not on it’s own. I’ve just filed it away in my brain in case there is anything else that might connect to it at a later date. Anyway, what else did we learn about Suga? He’s a hard worker and a kind of ‘just gets on with it’ guy. He has a nice affinity with the younger ones, which was a little absent in previous series. This time he spent a lot of time with V and Jungkook and he was pretty soft and indulgent of them. It was lovely to see. His roles in the band are lead rapper and a song writer.
J-Hope is a literal ball of sunshine. He is also a seriously talented dancer and I was a little taken aback that the band considered him their strongest dancer – that never came across in Carpool Karaoke. He admitted that as a trainee he had felt quite remote from the band as everyone else was a rapper, although I wonder if this was before Jimin joined? J-Hope is really quite talented all round – doing really well with all the challenges – except basketball. His roles in the band are lead dancer and the positivity/glue guy.
RM was RM. I don’t feel we learned as much about him as we did the others. Don’t get me wrong, he was front and centre but I didn’t feel we got to go too deep with him – either that or we’ve learned a lot about him already and there was little new. What did come across is that he is under a lot of pressure and that he cares what other’s think of him. He also wants to care less about what others think of him. His role is still as leader of the band.
Jimin is simply a lovable little ball of energy and laughter. Supposedly he has a temper but even when he’s ‘supposedly mad’ he is laughing about it. It’s hard to talk that seriously. Even the tutor, Tony, fell a little in love with Chim Chim. What else did we learn about Jimin? Well he was definitely calmer than in previous series – although he was still plenty loud. What really came through is that he is a hard worker and can knuckle down. His role is main dancer, high vocals, and comic relief.
V is… a lot of things. He’s overly affectionate at times, wonderfully weird, very random, a little spacey, not always the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to certain things, surprising shy in some situations, and a bit of a sensitive soul. Quite frankly I have a real soft spot for this goofball. His role is a little less obvious but I’m thinking low vocals, face of the band, and the mystery guy.
Jungkook, the maknae, is growing – both literally (I swear he grew several inches between ep1 and ep8 alone and is constantly hungry) and figuratively (his personality is blossoming). He has come out of his shell somewhat – still shy (and nervous of woman) at times – but also surprisingly brave in other situations and growing quite sassy. I think he is more comfortable behind the camera rather in front of it and I hope he gets the chance to be creative with that in the future. His role is main vocalist.
Band relations:
Some of the musings I made in previous series have been proven right while there are many that I perhaps read too much into. We really started to see the inner friendships more in this series so that has helped put behaviours into better perspective. I think J-Hope and Jin are really tight, they spent a lot of time together and had an ease of two people that had known each other for years. They clearly have a close brotherly bond and it’s just lovely to see. Suga, to my surprise, spent a lot of time with the younger ones in this series and he really indulged them. In fact, he did a great job looking after them and played on their level in a way that made it easy to forget he is their hyung. My new observation for him is that he maybe doesn’t care too much for convention? He is unapologetically him and that’s that, which I take my hat off to. RM and Jimin made a surprisingly great unit – RM is really good with Jimin, even if his (lack) of dancing skills frustrates the younger one at times. RM respects everyone and he gives people time, which I think Jimin needs? Also, I think they get on particularly well because they are quite similar in work ethics and principles. Towards the end we saw Jimin partnered with Jungkook. I can’t put my finger yet on a proper description for their bond. They are certainly comfortable around each other – and get on well and hang out a lot - but they don’t have the same ‘brotherly vibe’ as say RM and Jimin. Jungkook also treats Jimin more like he’s the same age as him. I wouldn’t say he’s disrespectful but there is a lot of teasing and a noticeable lack of honorific behaviour. I also can’t explain why but their bond has not got the same feel as Jungkook’s and V’s relationship, in which Jungkook also treats V as though they are the same age. However, there is a notable warm brotherly vibe between V and Jungkook and certainly more obvious respect from Jungkook’s side. I don’t know... Maybe it’s just the way the programme was edited or maybe I’m talking out my *** I just get frustrated when I can’t explain something. I suppose it didn’t help that Carpool Karaoke didn’t show much of their individual bonds in later life. I guess I’ll find out as we go along whether Jimin and Jungkook have a really close but unique bond or whether they are secret enemies lol.
 ******************************************************************************
The next programme on my list is BTS Go! According to Wiki, this seems to be from 2014 too. However, I recently came across the existence of the BTS Youtube channel where they have hundreds of videos from backstage dating back to 2013! What I think I will do is watch and muse over BTS Go first and then watch all the videos up to the end of 2014 on their Youtube account and then muse over what I see there and what I’ve seen in the tv programmes so far. I expect their personalities and bonds are more candid in the behind the scenes videos so I’m looking forward to seeing those in particular.

Called to Serve: A Tennis Blog
Rio Olympics 2016: Puerto Rico vs Germany Women's Tennis Singles Final
By Dana Esabelle I. Catingub
Tumblr media
A Sports Blog
At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Monica Puig made history for winning Puerto Rico's first-ever gold medal at the Olympic Games. At the women's singles tennis tournament, defeating Angelique Kerber in three sets 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. Throughout the first set, the two were evenly matched. Kerber seemed like the game got into her nerves and used that anger to fuel her energy and garnered a few points.
Although Puig kept on missing her serves in the earlier parts of the game, she got back and overpowered Kerber in the third game. The German responded with much of the same on her own serve as the match got off to a fantastic start. Puig had the advantage in the rallies, placing her shots with accuracy and keeping Kerber moving. I was always at the edge of my seat as both of them remained evenly matched, barely giving any space to the other during the first set.
When Puig appeared to be surging, Puig used her energy and techniques to power her way to a quick 30-0 advantage. She took plenty of risks, then earned two break points as Kerber fired a forehand well over the back line, and a lucky shot that clipped the net gave Puig the first set. Kerber seemed to always find more break chances in the next game. Puig took full advantage, grabbing yet another break to move closer to the title.
In-Depth Details:
Court Dimensions
Tumblr media
The match was held at the Olympic Tennis Centre, which is located at the Barra Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The court measures 23.77 meters in length and 8.23 meters in width for singles; and 23.77 meters x 10.97 meters for doubles.
Areas of the Tennis Court:
Length of Service Box: 6.4 meters
Width of Service Box: 4.1 meters
Area of Each Service Box: 26.3 sq meters
Backcourt (No Man's Land): 5.5 meters x 8.2 meters (45.2 sq m)
Doubles Alley: 11.9 meters x 1.4 meters (16.3 sq meters)
Net: 0.9meters high in the center, 1.1 meters high at the net posts
Center Line: 4″ / 0.1 m long

Equipment
Tumblr media
Rackets- They can be made of many alloys or wood. There are no restrictions on the size or materials used in making a racket. It has an oval head and a gradually widening throat that connects the narrow handle with the head of the racket. The head of the racket is tightly woven with strings which are made of various materials like nylon, gut or synthetic gut. The handles are covered with leather or nylon for a better grip.
Tennis Ball- As per ITF rules, yellow-colored spherical balls, with a diameter between 2.5 and 2.625 inches. They weigh between 2 and 21/16 oz. Pressurized rubber is used to make semi spherical half shells. They are then joined with compressed air between them. The spherical balls are covered with bright yellow colored felt.
Net- A rectangular net is used to separate the two sides of a Tennis court. The net should cover the space between the two net posts. The net is woven in such a way that it does not allow the Tennis ball to pass through. It is usually tied in about 3 feet above the ground at the center.
Wrist bands- are worn around wrists to prevent sweat from wetting the players’ palm or the racket. A wet grip might not be strong.
Headband- are used to absorb sweat. They also tie player’s hair away from their face. Any tight cap made of absorbent material can also be used instead of a head band.
Tennis shoes- Just running shoes don’t provide enough lateral support to players. Tennis shoes are designed to give players better stability and prevent them from sliding while moving sideways. Shoes shouldn’t damage the court when players move briskly across the court.
Dress- Women are advised to wear just any comfortable dress, many Tennis champions try to make a style statement with their carefully designed clothes. Many players prefer wearing a tank top or a T-shirt on a short skirt.

Basic Skills
Tumblr media
Footwork
Tennis players actually rack up miles of walking and running throughout the course of a match. Endurance is key, but so is your footwork because there are tons of quick movements that you need to make in a short period of time and over a short distance. With that in mind, it’s important to know the basic idea behind certain footwork techniques that’ll help you be as economical as possible with your movements (3 Tennis Skills All Beginners Need to Master, 2020).
Strokes
1. Serve- This is one of the most important skills to develop for every player. First, because it is the only shot in which you have absolute control over. Second, because having a good serve will give you an edge compared to your opponents, regardless of which level you are playing at.  It begins every single shot in a tennis match. It is also important that the player does not step on the line while serving. If that happens, it is considered a “foot fault” and the serve will be counted as a miss.
2. Return- These are very difficult at the advanced levels since serves are extremely fast. A return is a shot where one player waits to see where the other player’s serve lands and then attempts to hit the ball back to the other side. The most important aspect of a return is just getting the ball back to the other side, no matter how.
3. Forehand- For the vast majority of players, this is their strongest weapon. A player hits a forehand when he allows the ball to bounce once on his court before hitting it, and hits it with his dominant side. The reason why forehands are called forehands is because normally, the front (fore) of your hand holding the racquet will be facing your opponent.
4. Backhand- It is the equivalent of the forehand but executed on the player’s non-dominant side. The reason why backhands are called that is that the back of the player’s dominant hand is facing the opponent. Backhands can either be one-handed or two-handed. One-handed backhands, generally get more power and more spin. Two-handed backhands, give the player more control.
5. Slice- A slice is essentially a variation of the backhand shot. Instead of hitting the ball on the top, your racquet swings through the bottom of the ball. That adds underspin to the shot, so after the ball bounces on the other side, it stays low and close to the ground. Players usually use slices in order to change the pace of the game and add some variation.
6. Forehand Volley- With this stroke, you use only one arm to hit a ball by your dominant side, without letting the ball touch the ground. It requires firm hands and fast reflexes.
7. Backhand Volley- This looks a lot like a backhand slice, but without letting the ball touch the ground. Once again, a volley usually occurs when you are standing close to the net. A backhand volley always happens on your non-dominant side. Backhand volleys are an important part of your net game since they will allow you to shorten the points and take time away from your opponent.
8. Overhead- The last basic shot you should become comfortable with is the overhead (also called smash in some countries). You must be standing close to the net and hit the ball without bouncing. You need to hit the ball over your head. Overheads are usually used to finish a point, as it is considered a fairly easy shot in which you can hit it very hard. It is important to master this shot so you make sure you win those points.
(Hadlich, Sell, & Rapp, 2019)
Technical and Tactical Skills of Monica Puig
Tumblr media
Although during the earlier part of the game, Puig kept missing her serves, she redeemed herself with her quick movements and strong returns. Puig seemed to always have the upper hand in the rallies, placing her shots with accuracy, which led Kerber to keep moving and eventually worn her out. She made her way through the game with her good footwork, wherein she almost did the splits just to be able to hit the ball, high energy, and quick reactions.
Technical and Tactical Skills of Angelique Kerber
Tumblr media
Kerber took the chance whenever she served. She used this to have complete control over the ball and let Puig move left to right with her returns during the rallies. She moves very quickly and her footwork is exceptional. However, as I read through the comments, one viewer stated that Kerber was not in her best condition since she was receiving treatment for an injury and felt nervous during the game.
Rules of the Game
Tumblr media
General Rules of Tennis
1. A ball must land within bounds for play to continue; if a player hits the ball outside of bounds, this results in the loss of the point for them.
2. Players/teams cannot touch the net or posts or cross onto the opponent’s side.
3. Players/teams cannot carry the ball or catch it with the racquet.
4. Players cannot hit the ball twice.
5. Players must wait until the ball passes the net before they can return it.
6. A player that does not return a live ball before it bounces twice loses the point.
7. If the ball hits or touches the players, that counts as a penalty.
8. If the racquet leaves the hand or verbal abuse occurs, a penalty is given.
9. Any ball that bounces on the lines of boundary are considered good.
10. A serve must bounce first before the receiving player can return it.
Scoring System
1. Points – Smallest unit of measurement. Points increment from Love(0)-15-30-40-game.
2. Games – Games consist of 4 points each, and is won when a player reaches 4 points with at least a 2-point advantage.
3. Sets – A set consists of 6 games and is won by the player/team who reaches 6 games first with least a 2-point lead.
4. Advantage Set – If a game score of 6-6 is reached and advantage set rules are used, a player/team can only win a set with a 2-game lead.
5. Matches – A match is usually played as best of 3 or best of 5 sets.
6. Deuce – Occurs if a score of 40-40 is reached. In order to win the game, a player/team must win 2 consecutive points in order to take the game. If a player wins one point, they have advantage, but if they lose the next point, the score returns to deuce.
7. Tie-break game – If a game score of 6-6 is reached and tie-break set rules are used, players must play a tie-break game in order to decide who wins the set. In a tie-break game, a player/team must reach 7 points with a two-point advantage to win. For the serving format of a tie-break game, player 1 serves for the first point, player 2 serves for the next two points, player 1 serves for the next two points after that, etc.
What Do the Lines Mean?
1. Baseline – The lines on either end of the court that determines the boundaries of play going lengthwise. They are also where a player serves behind.
2. Center Mark – This determines the two halves of the tennis court. It mainly helps with service to determine where a player should stand prior to serving.
3. Center Line – The center line divides the two service boxes into a distinct left service box and right service box on either side of the court. Landing a serve on the line is considered good.
4. Net – The net stands 3 feet and 6 inches high where the posts lie while the middle of the net is 3 feet tall, with the posts 3 feet outside of the court on either side. Hitting a ball into the net is considered an out while any ball that hits the net cord and falls onto the other side is considered good except for a serve, which allows for a re-do, or let.
5. Service Line – The service line separates the forecourt from the back court, and it also marks the length of the service box.
6. Singles Sideline – The singles sideline is the innermost line running lengthwise and determines the boundary of play for singles matches as well as the width of the service box.
7. Doubles Sideline – The doubles sideline is the outermost line running lengthwise and is only used in doubles matches.
Who Serves First?
A flip of the coin or spin of the racket, known as the toss, determines which player or team serves first. If called correctly, the player or team that did so chooses who serves first. The player/team who did not call it correctly decides which side of the court they want to play on first.
Rally
The rally consists of the exchange of shots after the serve is made until a player/team makes a mistake and loses the point. Any shot that is hit within bounds is considered good and allows the rally to continue. If you want to learn how to play tennis, you will need to know how to rally consistently.
Serving and Choosing Sides
1. Foot Fault – When a player steps into the court or crosses the center mark before they have made contact with the ball. This results in the loss of the serve.
2. Proper Serve – A player serves on the right side of the court at the beginning of each game, with the goal of serving the ball into the diagonal service box. If the serve lands in the correct service box, play can continue. The server switches to serve on the left side for the next point, and vice versa until the game is over.
3. First Service – The server is allowed two chances to land their ball into the service box. The first attempt is known as the first service. Failing the first service leads to the second service.
4. Second Service – The second attempt. Failing the second service results in the loss of the point.
5. Let – This is a re-do given to a player who serves although the ball hits the net cord before falling into the correct service box. You are allowed an infinite amount of lets, although it does not happen often.
6. Order of Service – The player who wins the toss serves first (team that wins chooses which player serves). If playing singles matches, players alternate between serving and receiving every game.
7. Switching Sides – Players/teams switch sides for every odd-numbered game (so, games 3, 5, 7 etc.)
Scoring System
0 Points — Love
1 Point   — 15
2 Points — 30
3 Points — 40
4 Points — Game (2 point lead required)
1. All — Used to describe even scores, except for 40-40. A score of 0-0 would be love-all, 15-15 would be 15-all, and 30-30 would be 30-all.
2. Deuce — Used to describe a score of 40-40. If a deuce is reached, a player must win 2 consecutive points in order to win the game. If a player wins one point and then loses the next point, the score returns to deuce.
3. Advantage — The player who wins the first point after a deuce is reached is said to have “advantage”.
4. Advantage In — If the server is the player who has advantage, the server may announce the score as “advantage in”.
5. Advantage Out — If the receiver is the player who has advantage, the server may announce the score as “advantage out”.
If you’re wondering why the tennis scoring system is formatted like this, one theory states that the tennis scoring system derives from the face of a clock. The goal would be to reach 60, so every point would advance the player by 15 except for the last point.

How to Officiate the Sport
Tumblr media
Line Umpires- They are the ones who get to call the shots at all levels of tournaments, from grassroots all the way through to the Australian Open. It might appear simple, but the best Line Umpires need to be able to concentrate for long periods of time, be team players, and require excellent eyesight. As well as calling the lines, they act as an extra pair of eyes and ears for the Chair Umpire. Becoming a Line Umpire is the quickest pathway to getting on court at tennis tournaments around the world.
Chair Umpire- This is the most important person on court during a match. The Chair Umpire is responsible for everything from calling the score to enforcing the rules and managing the players. A successful Chair Umpire needs great communication skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and 20:20 vision. The best Chair Umpires work full-time in the role, travelling the world with the tennis tour
Community Official- This is a great way to get involved in tennis at the grassroots level. They are responsible for monitoring a number of courts at a tournament or competition. They assist and educate players, parents and coaches; and assist in the smooth running of an event.
Community Officials- They start as Court Monitors which help to identify on court queries but can quickly graduate to Court Supervisors to help enforce the Rules of Tennis and Code of Behaviour, as well as resolving on court queries.
Referee- They are the expert in all things rules and regulations. Referees supervise all aspects of a tournament, from taking charge of the draws and schedules, to enforcing the rules and making sure everything runs smoothly and in the spirit of fairness. Being a Referee requires exceptional knowledge of the rules of tennis, the ability to multi-task in a pressured environment, and to listen and communicate well with everyone involved with the tournament (Types of Tennis Official, n.d.).
Ball persons- Although they don’t have an officiating capacity, they are essential for the smooth running of operations. There are usually six ball persons on a court. There are two at the back of each side of the court and two more at the net, covering each side of it.  Their job is to ensure that the server always has a choice of tennis balls to choose from before they start to serve (O’Mahony, 2013).

A Different but Very Interesting perspective on our current COVID-19 Situation - After all.....Everything is Energy 💫
Keep Your Vibration High.
Chanting, sound healing and other practises can heal every cell in your body.
LEVEL OF VIBRATION
COVID-19 has a vibration of 5.5hz, it dies above 25.5hz.
For humans with higher vibration, the virus is a simple cold.
The reasons for having low vibration can be:
❗Fatigue (physical or mental)
❗Fear
❗Nervous tension (stress or anxiety)
❗Rage
❗Hate
❗Malnutrition, etc.
We have to vibrate high and not constantly watch the news or negative stuff; so that the frequency does not lower us, and changes the immune system.
The frequency of the Earth today is 27.4hz. but there are places that vibrate very low like:
⭕Hospitals
⭕Assistance centers
⭕Jails
⭕Bars
⭕Casinos
⭕Funeral or burial places
⭕Basements or underground, etc.
It is where the vibration drops to 20hz, or less still.
For humans with low vibration, the virus becomes dangerous🆘.
❎Pain 0.1 to 2hz.
❎Fear 0.2 to 2.2hz.
❎Irritation 0.9 to 6.8hz.
❎Noise 0.6 to 2.2hz.
❎Pride 0.8 hz.
❎Abandon 1.5hz.
❎Superiority 1.9 hz.
Instead:
✅Generosity 95hz
✅True thanks 150hz
✅Compassion 150hz or more.
✅Love of neighbour and all living beings 150hz and more.
✅Unconditional and universal love from 205hz onwards.
What helps us vibrate high?
Loving ❤, Smiling 😁, Laughing 🤣, Blessing😇 , Thanking 🙏, Playing 🥳, Helping , Painting🖌️, Singing 🎤, Dancing 💃, Meditating 🧘‍♂️, Reiki 👐, Yoga, Tai Chi, Breathing 🚶 exercises, Walking in the Sun☀️🌈, Exercising 🙆, Enjoying nature🌵.
Eating food 🍴that the Earth gives us:
🌱seeds-grains-cereals-legumes-fruits and vegetables-remember not the processed food
💧Drink water. They help us vibrate high ….. !!!
The vibration of prayer goes from 120 to 350hz

Post-Covid Travel Guide | Surviving a Long-Haul Flight | Tips and Tricks!
Covid-19 has taken a massive toll on the travel industry. It has undoubtedly put a damper on everyone’s travel plans in 2020. However, with encouraging news about development of Covid-19 vaccines and start of human trials of the same, international travel may soon resume 🙂 We’ve seen many people lose out on their summer vacation plans because of this, but not for long! A long-haul flight can be pretty tiresome sometimes. If you don’t know what ‘long-haul flights’ are, they’re basically any flight longer than 7 hours. Usually this category involves international flights, however, some domestic flights in large countries can come under this umbrella. Why are long-haul flights so bad, you ask? Well – the constant sitting, lack of WiFi and limited area for movement  could contribute to this attitude. But don’t worry about all these pain points – we’ve got you covered! In this article, we’ll go through 9 super-important tips for your first long-haul flight! Some of these may come off as a no-brainer, but those are the ones we tend to overlook and forget first. With this list, you’ll end up a long-haul flight expert. So, let’s jump right in to some tips for your next long haul flight in post-covid times.
Wear Comfortable Clothes Well, this comes as no surprise – comfort over style is good for all kinds of flights. However, it’s especially important for long-hauls. Always remember to dress in loose clothing, made out of a breathable material like cotton. You need to be able to move around, be free and as unrestricted as possible. Often, people might opt for one-pieces (like dresses), but we advise against that decision. Flight air conditioners are quite unpredictable, and are (more often than not) on the too-cold side of the spectrum. Dresses mean that your legs are exposed to all that cool air, allowing them to get stiff and maybe even cause an injury if exposed for long enough. Jumpsuits may be an option, but a good sleeved tee and jeans/track pants should do the trick. And always carry layers! The best way to protect against the chill is to layer up. Jackets are imperative, especially if you plan on getting cozy and catching some z’s. If you feel too hot, you can always just unwrap yourself by a layer, and you’re good to go.
Good Seats Are SO Important Trust us, you really don’t want to get caught with a non-reclining end-of-flight seat for 10-11 hours in a row. Reserving a seat beforehand (especially on a long flight) is worth the trouble, and even more so if your flight is at night. You can even come early to the airport and reserve a seat then, if you are not able to do so online. Leg room is one of those commodities that one can never have too much of, so this is something to consider when choosing seats. The seats near the emergency exits have the most leg room, however, in case the unlikely case that the aircraft has to land on water , be ready to snap out of that slumber and activate the emergency exits! Some people prefer aisle seats, and some prefer windows. But no-one – and I repeat, NO-ONE likes that crammed middle seat with no elbow space and no privacy. This is probably something to keep in mind as well. If you’re the kind of person who loves to enjoy the view on an airplane, window seats are for you. Alternatively, you might value your bathroom breaks more than this – aisle seats are best in this case, as you don’t have to keep excusing yourself every time you get up. The middle seat is okay if you’re travelling in a group or with family. Stretching and moving around is also a good idea on long-hauls, as your body tends to stiffen up. Back muscles can take a toll with all that sitting, so make sure whichever seat you’re in, you can get out of easily! We recommend some good ‘chair yoga’ – you might find that your seated arrangement doesn’t deter the will for some good asanas!
Food = Life, Especially On A Long-Haul! Everyone loves food. And most people eat a snack at least once in the span of 4 hours. Imagine doubling that time, but only getting a packet of salted nuts as compensation? ‘Hangry’ is probably the best way to describe it. Carry your own food – but remember to not stock too many liquids or liquid-like foods (eg. curries). This might not even be allowed on the flight, and you’ll have to dispose of it before you begin eating itself. It’s also important to think about what kind of food you’ll be eating. If you are spending the next 10 hours sitting (as compared to working out, playing or even walking around), you’ll have to change your diet a bit. To suit this new seated marathon, make sure to go light on your meals. Heavy meals include higher-energy foods, which you won’t burn on the flight. It will keep you awake, and may not allow you to rest well enough before landing. Sometimes, we may not have a choice, as meals are pre-planned and we have to eat what’s available to us. In this case, remember to bring your own food, and maybe some fennel seeds as well. They’re known to aid in digestion, and also act as a mouth freshener – killing two birds with one stone!
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate! Hydration goes without saying. Drinking water is something you’d need to do even on ground, but it’s even more important when you’re 30,000 feet above sea level. Mouths are more likely to get parched, and you can’t even carry  more than 500ml to quench that thirst! However, here’s a tip – carrying your water bottle is still a good idea, even if half-filled. Ask the air staff for a refill, instead of using the paper cup method which they give you. You’ll get more water in that way, and you don’t have to keep bugging them for water either! International long-haul flight services include drinks. These may include alcohol, or be restricted to teas and juices. Either way, it’s a better idea to stick to good old water for the most part. This is because it has the highest water content out of all (belaboring the obvious), and has the least sugar content out of all options. This means you’re less likely to get a sugar rush, or even a general sugar high and its inevitable low that comes right after. Although, if you are a nervous flyer, the alcohol option might be a good temporary choice, as it acts as a sedative. However, it does dehydrate, so beware. If you want some variety, teas like green tea are good for hydration instead.
BYOE – Bring Your Own Entertainment Some long-haul flights have in-flight entertainment. This includes a back-of-the-seat screen – with movies, songs, and sometimes even games. But it might not be the best idea. Why? Because if you’ve gone on some before, they tend to have similar movies in stock. The music is not terribly updated, but if you are ok with having any old song play to pass the time, then you’re in luck. Many streaming services like YouTube and Netflix offer download options – and our advice is to make the most out of them. They offer a more personalised approach, as what you’re downloading is what you truly want to watch. Offline music is great too, and you don’t even need a streaming service for this – just a few gigabytes of phone storage. It’s more likely to keep your attention, and even help you learn some cool new stuff, who knows? And entertainment doesn’t only have to be digital. If your carry-on space permits, a good read is all you need. Reading lights are installed on all airplanes, so your flight was literally made for this! We don’t recommend card games or games with many moving pieces, though, as these might get lost on the plane… Only to be found by the cleaning lady, a lone, isolated Monopoly chip in the oasis of fluorescent floor strips.
Can You Have A Mini-Bath Here? The quick answer to this is, yes. You can. And honestly, you should. Carrying good travel hygiene products are very necessary, especially on a 7+ hour journey across the globe. Wet wipes, deodorant, cotton pads, sanitizer and even a toothbrush and paste are some essentials on our list. Why, you ask? Well, sitting for so long has its risks. You may be sweating, you may be sitting next to some folks with strong body odour, or you may just not want to inconvenience anyone with your bodily situation. Often, airplane food doesn’t suit us, and neither does being in the same place for hours on end. Freshening up makes you feel not only physically better, but mentally relieves us of some stress even if for a minute. And a flight shouldn’t have to get in the way of your skincare routine, now does it? Speaking of which, it’s advisable to go as bare-faced as you can. Makeup is not a good idea for long flights, as it tends to cake up and smudge. For both men and women, moisturizing is a must, as the AC tends to dry out skin – even under a warm jacket. Toilet tactics may also be a good area of expertise to know about. The best time to use the loo is right after the seatbelt sign is switched off after takeoff, or in the middle of the flight. The end is absolutely the worst, as you risk catching the toilet in a mess, or not catching it at all (due to seatbelt signs). Make sure you carry ample amounts of toilet spray and/or sanitizer with you just in case. And just like that, we’ve come to the end of our article on tips and tricks for a long-haul flight. We hope you enjoyed reading all the spunky tips we had to offer. If you’d like to book your visa, travel insurance or SIM cards before flying out, remember to contact Visa2Fly! Some aesthetics for Female!Malfoy!OC (Arabella):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The stands were filled, the pitch roared and vibrated with excitement as the game proceeded. Gryffindor vs. Slytherin - a quidditch match nobody wanted to miss. Including Professor Snape, Head of Slytherin House, who was sat among the other staff. He was watching his students with a smirk as they were in the lead. Scoring goal after goal.
"Severus," Severus looked up to see Lucius arriving at the stand. His blond hair in a loose, low ponytail. "Lucius," he replied with a nod, "here to watch your boy's first game?" Lucius sneered a smile and he seemed puffed up with pride. Not an unusual sight, when it comes to old Lucius. "Well, one must make sure he does not embarrass the family name." Severus nodded, understanding yet not agreeing in the slightest. Again, you do not surprise with your ways Lucius.
Lucius sat with a flare of his thick coat and Severus' breath caught. Not at old Lucius' movements, but at what is exposed. Behind the man stood the most beautiful creature he had ever laid eyes on. Truly beautiful.
A young woman, possibly in her early twenties. Platinum blond hair, grey eyes, pale skin, tight features. She was clad in a fitted coat in black and dark green with thick fur around the wrists and neck. She was, simply put, gorgeous. He was mesmerized. He, whom many believed had no feelings, was sitting with a pounding heart and warm sensation under his skin.
"Severus, I believe you haven't met my niece?" Severus shook his head slowly as the young woman looked straight into his eyes. He felt, for a moment, as though she could see right through him. The feeling was, uncomfortable. "Well, don't be rude girl, introduce yourself."
Lucius glared at the young woman and Severus had to hold back so as not to curse at him for speaking so harshly. Why, he was unsure of, as it had never bothered him before. "Arabella Malfoy," she spoke with a high pitched, yet singsonged voice not quite befitting her darker look but pleasurable, "pleasure to meet you, Mr Snape," she continued with a slight nod. "And you, Ms Malfoy."
Arabella sat down next to Lucius at the exact moment Slytherin scored yet another 10 points. The stands erupted with cheer yet the dark professor himself, suddenly, had no interest in the game. His eyes wandered discreetly towards his left, an odd feeling of almost nausea had erupted in his stomach yet he could not look away from her profile.
He found it a tad disturbing, truth be told. He had felt similar things in life before, of course, yet this was both the same and something completely foreign to him. His back had stiffened slightly, his hands a little more stuck to his thighs, not that it was noticeable from the outside.
Severus tried harder to focus on the game - an impossible task apparently. The stands erupted in excitement once more as the Snitch had been sighted by the seekers. Lucius stood up as Draco set of and Severus got a clear view of the grey eyes that suddenly stared directly at him.
His breath caught again. His lungs were too stiff to expand. She smiled, ever so slightly, and at that moment he fell helplessly down the deep black hole he had been desperate to stay out of for many years. His heart wrenched and pounded, it beat faster and he forced himself to look away before he did something outstandingly ludicrous.
Two hours later he found himself walking towards his own office with Lucius, Draco and Arabella following behind - in that order. He was highly aware, too aware, of her presence. Despite her walking last and not making a sound as Lucius reprimanded Draco for losing to the Potter-boy he still felt her presence like no other.
He had, in fact, felt it every second of the game. The strength it had taken him to not constantly look at her was close to ridiculous. Who am I trying to fool, this IS ridiculous. The thought was harsh yet he felt it was true. He was no beauty, no handsome young man who girls or women took a second glance at - at least not for that reason. Second glances he got plenty, nervous ones, or even frightened ones. But not ones of lust or appreciation. Not that it had ever bothered him. It was, after all, part of his role.
The door to his office swung open and Severus stepped in. The dark office felt cool and he welcomed it. "Arabella, wait in Severus' office, I need to deal with this-this boy," Lucius bit out in the corridor. "Yes uncle," Arabella replied and Severus' stomach sank. She stepped in and Lucius grabbed Dracos neck collar before starting a harsh rant about his failure as a seeker. Poor Draco made himself smaller and lowered his head.
The office door swung shut, but not by Severus' command. No, it was Arabella who had closed it. "He can yell in private, don't you think Mr Snape?" She had spoken softly, yet with a small tinge of playfulness in the light voice. Severus nodded, slowly. He watched her move around in the office, her heels clicked and the fabric of her clothes ruffled. Like a low humming. A soft sound.
"So, Mr Snape, do you often stare at people?" Severus stiffened once more. Had he been prone to blushing he probably would have done just that at that moment. Yet all he did was to avert his eyes and busy himself with taking off and hanging his coat. "Pardon?" he said in his low, gruff voice. "Mr Snape, don't play coy with me," she reprimanded. He was forced to bite his lip so as not to scold her for the way she spoke to him. Still being very much in the professor role seeing as they were in his office, at Hogwarts. "No, I do not stare," he answered with a clipped voice while stepping in front of his desk.
She giggled, she actually giggled at his words. A sweet smile of confidence was flashed, yet her cheeks turned a slight pink shade. She was now the one averting her eyes. Severus tilted his head, frustrated by the weird feelings bombarding him on the inside. The warmth, the pounding, the wondering, the aching. But now he saw something else in her that he had not seen earlier. She was nervous. Her shorter breathe's, her slightly flushed skin and the need to move about in his office. Yes, all signs of being nervous, how ... sweet.
Well, it wasn't exactly a strange phenomenon. Most people were nervous around him. Yet this was different. Not a scared nervous, it was something else entirely. She was something else entirely. He found himself fascinated, truth be told.
"So am I the exception, Mr Snape?" He followed her as she walked around the room. Her steps precis, her form gracious. Signs of harsh upbringings and rigorous training. Oh yes, he could tell those little signs. Opening her coat she glanced hastily at him for a mere second. "Perhaps," he said with a stoic expression. She giggled again, maybe it is one of her tells of being nervous?
"Do you mind?" "Not at all," he answered in a hum as she took off her coat and hung it next to his own. Revealing her slightly curvy body clad in a deep green satin dress reaching to the floor. The neckline plunging, revealing more of her pale skin - now with a rosy tinge. Severus' eyebrow raised and she bit her lip. Obviously aware of his watchful eyes. But she wasn't shying away. Strange...
His heart pounded inside his chest. His clothes seemed too constricting. She was a magnificent sight. Resist. Foolish nonsense. She's too young. Too beautiful. You're not, worthy of that. "Ms Malfoy," he said, stepping back until his thighs hit the edge of the desk, "I-" But he found no words to speak at that moment. He was, in fact, speechless. That never happened.
She stepped closer, slowly. Her eyes twinkled and her skin took on an even darker shade of red. "Yes, Mr Snape?" She was a mere two steps from him, within arms reach. His hands clutched each other in front of him so as to not do anything reckless. Like grabbing her or reaching out to feel what looked like velvet smooth skin.
"What, are you doing?" he asked in a low huff as her eyes travelled from his hands, up along the many buttons of his frock coat, all the way to his eyes while she was mindlessly biting her lip. He could not help but notice it as it made him ache in places not suitable. Not in the presence of such a young woman. Resist this foolishness! Her beauty is not for you to enjoy, however badly you want to...
"I think," Arabella said, "the question is what are you thinking Mr Snape, not what I am doing." Severus swallowed, could she read his thoughts? No, impossible. Not even the Dark Lord can do that. He abandoned the thought. Had he perhaps not been as stoic as he thought? "I don't know what you're-" The door opened with a small bang, it made Arabella jump and Severus himself to turn his head so abruptly his thick black hair swung around his face.
Lucius stepped in. He effectively broke the tension as the focus shifted. The energy of the room changed, but old Lucius didn't seem to notice he had in fact interrupted something. Severus had no idea what exactly that something was, but it was something. "We're leaving. Put your coat on, girl!" Lucius' voice was rough and harsh, Snape nearly balled his fists.
Usually, he did not mind the tone, not in the slightest. But with the young woman named Arabella he minded. Oh yes, he minded very much. But he had no time to move before Arabella had abandoned her spot in front of him and put her coat on. Lucius had given Severus a curt nod within a mere moment. "Goodbye, Mr Snape," she said with a sweet yet somewhat sad smile. His eyes lingered on hers, he couldn't help but reach out a hand towards her, ever so slightly. Barely noticeable.
"Ms Malfoy," he hummed. She smiled wider, his lips twitched into a tight smile. "Perhaps we'll meet again, Mr Snape. One day," she said with a gentle voice and then turned. She followed Lucius, Severus just stood there. Locked, frozen. As if someone had put a petrification curse upon him. For the first time in many years, he felt a need to speak out - yet no words came.
The door was slowly shut, and she was blocked from his sight. But, somehow he knew that she would come to be of vital importance to him. After all, she already was...

Psycho-Neuro-Immunology

Psycho - thoughts and emotions
Neuro - brain and nervous system
Immunology - the study of the immune system
Psychoneuroimmunology is a relatively new study on how the mind influences the immune system. There is conclusive research that indicates that our thoughts and feelings have a direct affect on our immune system function. The aim of this article is to breakdown this science into a simple to understand format with practical applications.
Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI for short) is a study of the Mind-body connection. PNI researchers study how our emotions and thoughts impact:
- The brain
- Hormones (endocrine)
- Nervous system
- Immune system.
Your thoughts affect your immune system. It can work the opposite way as well —-changes in the immune system create changes in your nervous system which lead to changes in your emotions. Quiet simply put stress and unhealthy eating habits can influence how you think and feel.
PNI research is concerned with the subtle interactions between our nervous, endocrine and immune systems and disease. The interaction between the different systems are complex but can be explained in a simplified manner.
For example, if you are experiencing fear, anger or other emotions that may increase your stress level, then these unsettling thoughts are picked up by the brain. The brain then stimulates the endocrine system to release hormones that have an adverse effect on the immune cell’s ability to divide. This causes a decline in immune function which may result in your becoming more susceptible to illness.
Simply put - your mental state affects your immunity. Research today is beginning to unravel the complex connection between your psychological state and your immune system.
The Immune System:
The immune system is a complex network of cells and proteins that defends the body against infection.
The body’s protective unit - first line of defense.
The immune system protects body against alien bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites (invaders).
Destroys invaders using an army of white blood cells, natural killer cells and T-cells.
Promoting good gut bacteria is the key to a strong and potent immune system.
The immune system is comprised of organs, tissues, cells and cell products that all work together to fight harmful substances like the pathogens that cause infection and disease.
If our lives are greatly influenced by the hormones of stress, then the natural function of the immune system is suppressed, which leaves us more prone to illness or disease.
When stress is prolonged or unrelenting, it becomes known as chronic stress. Chronic or bad stress can be detrimental to mental and physical health. Constant worrying about things like family or problems are examples of chronic stress. Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is another form of chronic stress.
The immune system is a collection of billions of cells that travel through the bloodstream. They move in and out of tissues and organs, defending the body against foreign bodies (antigens) such as bacteria, viruses and cancerous cells.
The main types of immune cells are white blood cells. There are two types of white blood cells:
- Lymphocytes
- Phagocytes
There are two types of lymphocytes:
B cells - produce antibodies which are released into the fluid surrounding the body’s cells to destroy the invading viruses and bacteria.
T cells - if the invader gets inside a cell, these (T cells) lock on to the infected cell, multiply, and destroy it.
When we’re stressed, the immune system’s ability to fight off antigens is reduced. That is why we are more susceptible to infections.
The stress hormone corticosteroid can suppress the effectiveness of the immune system (e.g. lowers the number of lymphocytes).
Healthy Mind Vs Stressful Mind
Being positive and having a healthy perspective could be the difference between longevity and disease. Every thought you have produces a chemical which signals the body to feel exactly the way you are thinking. In turn your thoughts will generate feelings, and your feelings will generate thoughts. This creates a vicious cycle — being mindful of your thoughts in the morning could be the difference in what type of day you have.
The release of stress hormones is the result of a number of complex and interacting factors such as the interaction between the stressors and our perception of the stress. How we perceive an event plays a very significant role in whether the stressor triggers our stress response or not.
One of the most important factors of stress management is the role that our perception plays in stress. Most people believe that it is external stressful situations or people that cause their stress. But this is not accurate, if it were everybody who was exposed to a particular stressor would be affected, which is not the case — we all react to “stressful” situations differently.
For example; if our perception is influenced by pessimistic thinking style, the potential event will be perceived as more of a threat than say another person exposed to the same potential stressful event but who has a flexible, non-rigid, optimistic thinking style.
How you perceive reality effects not only your physiology but also your health and wellbeing.
Stress can cause unhealthy behavioural coping strategies such as:
Drinking
Smoking
Drugs
Gambling
Shopping
Eating
Stress is also linked to:
 Headaches (migraines)
 Infectious illness (viruses)
 Cardiovascular disease
 Diabetes
Asthma
GI issues (gut health)
Auto immune disease
”Your cells will either be in a state of growth or protection and if your mind is ‘stressed out,’ then your cells are in a suppressed state, a.k.a breakdown mode—which will leave your body wide open and more susceptible to illness or disease.” ~ Bruce Lipton
Chronic stress:
Creates chronic inflammatory conditions.
Suppresses the smooth operation of the digestive system.
Lowers the immunity of those who otherwise have a healthy immune system.
When long-term stress becomes chronic, high levels of cortisol (stress hormone) begin circulating in the blood for an extended period of time.
All you need to know is that excessive amounts of CORTISOL run HAVOC in your body system.
We can reduce our stress levels by changing our thinking habits — outdated negative perceptions can lead to distorted thinking patterns which can paint events much worse than they actually are — keeping the vicious cycle of stress turning.
Our perceptions can be shaped by past experiences — perceiving reality through the lenses of the past. Let’s face it not all of our experiences have been full of joy and love, so it’s critical to identify the perceptions that are outdated and change them to healthy ones.
Stress Management Tips...
Keep a positive attitude.
Accept that there are events that you cannot control.
Be assertive instead of aggressive. Assert your feelings, opinions, or beliefs instead of becoming angry, defensive, or passive.
Learn and practice relaxation techniques meditation, deep breathing, mindfulness & excepting term of ur current life.
Exercise regularly. Your body can fight stress better when it is fit.
Eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
Learn to manage your time more effectively.
Set limits appropriately and learn to say no to requests that would create excessive stress in your life.
Make time for hobbies, interests, and relaxation.
Get enough rest and sleep. Your body needs time to recover from stressful events.
Don't rely on alcohol, drugs, or compulsive behaviors to reduce stress.
Cells can transmit and receive non-physical packages of information that influences their behaviour.
Think about it - a stressful state changes the heart beat to be erratic which sends out pressure waves (informational waves of energy) to signals cells to change their behaviour (emergency state).
Stress disrupts all the major organs in the body that contribute to having a disrupted energy field.
When you are stressed, the cells in your body will be given information that keeps them in a protective state.
"Cells are either in a state of growth (harmony) or protection (stress) — they cannot be in both."
Our conscious minds have the power to influence cell behaviour — cells respond to thoughts — the stronger the emotional charge behind the thought, the more cells react.
Factors that influence cell behaviour:
• Stress
• Diet
• Exercise
• Sleep
• Perception
• Mind set
• Emotions
How you process and define different aspects of your life ultimately signals your cells to be in a state of growth or protection.
Learning to consciously harmonise your mind and body will enable you to upkeep the integrity of the cells in your body.
Question:
How does my mood effect my immunity?
Answer: If you regularly experience low vibrational emotions such as fear, anger or other emotions that may increase your stress levels, then it will be extremely difficult for you to maintain balance within the systems of the body.
Low vibrational emotions will begin to disturb your thoughts because the brain will pick up on the emotional feedback from the body.
The hormonal system in the body (endocrine) is a major player when it comes to maintaining a healthy balance. Stress disrupts the natural order of the endocrine system resulting that can result in chemical imbalances.
There are many medical conditions that remain a mystery to doctors and science that maybe caused by chemical-hormonal imbalances in the body. If the adrenal glands are overactive (stress hormone glands) then the other glands suppressed from their natural function.
The adrenal glands are taking up all the energy to activate stress hormones which suppress the other glands from naturally maintaining chemical/hormonal balance in the body.
MEDITATION IS MEDICATION
Meditation induces the relaxation response in the body which allows the body to reset and balance — creating coherence within all systems of the body. The relaxation response is our physical way of reversing the effects of stress and the physical stress response.
Individuals with high levels of stress should adopt a regular meditation practice to restore balance back in the body.

If Foop were to be high count would he make a good leader? Also how would he handle his political relationships? Also also how does he view pixies? Thank you!
Foop is strong-willed. He’ll fight for what he’s passionate about, but rarely have a good attitude about things he doesn’t want to do. When he doesn’t understand things, he withdraws and pouts. As High Count, I think he would be pushy about implementing his plans and brush off any critique he received (See also, “You make me sad and afraid!” // “Oh, weep away, Sammy!”)
I see Anti-Cosmo as a leader who’s in tune with his people. Anti-Cosmo’s evil plans focus on what’s best for the Anti-Fairies whereas Foop’s evil plans focus on what benefits him personally. Empathy and compassion are not his strong suits and he has a lot of growing up to do.
One of Foop’s biggest weaknesses, I’ve noticed, is that he’s easily pushed into doing things he doesn’t want to (Obviously he’s a baby in show canon, so age plays a role there). Following his first encounter with Vicky, he flipped out when the Anti-Fairy Council ordered him to work alongside her a second time (“Scary Godcouple”). This from the boy who was trying to suck up to them; he dissolved into an immediate panicked mess and tried to bribe his way out.
Vicky and Anti-Sparky both took advantage of his nervous nature easily, leaving Foop to sink into the background out of fear. If Foop intends to be a good High Count someday, he’ll have to learn to stand up to his bullies… I like how even though Foop is a nasty villain himself, we see a lot of episodes where he’s forced to face his fears. For all his cartoon wackiness, he feels grounded and real and I appreciate that.
Despite his faults, I think Foop works hard and doesn’t give up easily, so he shows a lot of strong leadership qualities that Anti-Fairy World values. I think he’s a little flighty and can’t commit to what he wants, and it would be scary to have him as a lone ruler. But with supportive allies to focus his attention and direct his energy into one political goal at a time, he could be successful.
I consider Foop more patient and likely to plan than Anti-Cosmo (See also, Anti-Cosmo robbing a bakery in broad daylight in front of Jorgen von Strangle vs. Foop’s elaborate scheme to obtain an ice cube and escape Abracatraz). Foop’s patience makes him appear more stable and consistent than Anti-Cosmo in the eyes of the Anti-Fairy public. Both Foop and Anti-Cosmo have their flaws, but their people support them even so.
Foop probably won’t go down in the history books as a generous ruler who’s in touch with the people, but he might be recorded as a strong, passionate fighter constantly pushing back against the Fairies. In his generation, that might be just what his people need.
Foop doesn’t have good relationships with the Pixies, probably because he’s constantly trying to catch and experiment with them. Foop is a scientist and finds studying genetically identical subjects fascinating, especially when it comes to unlocking the reason why some develop into gynes and some into drones.
H.P. and Poof are cross-generation rivals, so H.P. tolerates Foop much better than he tolerates his counterpart. Longwood knows he and Foop are destined to be High Count and Head Pixie together someday soon, so he’s tried to keep neutral-positive views and tends to excuse Foop’s actions because “He’s just a kid.” Sanderson finds Foop annoying and dislikes him, but doesn’t hate him… He judges Anti-Cosmo for “raising Foop this way” more than he judges Foop himself (same reason he blames Ambrosine for H.P.’s flaws, not H.P. himself).
Foop sees the Pixies as annoying and there’s not much more depth to his feelings than that. Anti-Cosmo really involved himself with Pixies, especially while building the Water Temple in Pixie World and raising Talon. Foop isn’t convinced the Pixies have any meaningful culture, and finds certain habits like their “lack of personal space” to be creepy since he himself is from a culture where people stand much farther apart due to sensitive Anti-Fairy ears (See also, Foop and H.P. meeting for the first time in “Yellow Flower Number 9”).
As for political relationships, Foop will probably remain on mostly good terms with his parents throughout life, favoring his mother while his relationship with Anti-Cosmo slowly strains. He lashed out at the Anti-Fairy Council even as a baby, so I feel like if they don’t let him get his way when he’s older, he’ll have a hard time collaborating with them politically. As High Count/heir, Foop legally isn’t allowed to vote for Council members or support specific candidates, so he usually tunes out Council politics and will simply work with what he has when the elections are over.
No matter who the new Keeper of Da Rules is after Jorgen, Foop probably won’t get along with them. Fairy World in general probably wavers back and forth on their opinion of him depending on what he’s doing (Deep down, the Fairies are mischief makers too… They just don’t like mischief to be pulled on them).
I imagine Foop is a well-known celebrity in Fairy World. Thanks to easily accessible media covering his life from his birth through adulthood, along with the bad boy persona in general, I like to think he’s the one Anti-Fairy a lot of Fairies in his age group make exceptions for in their fantasies. Fairy World usually portrays Anti-Fairies as gross, scary, or extremely different. Charming, well-groomed Foop who hasn’t yet destroyed the planet probably catches some flirty eyes. Even Fairies daydream about a little mischief in their lives.
As stated above, Longwood is first in line to be the next Head Pixie. Longwood believes in strict neutrality (as opposed to H.P.’s flip-flopping loyalties) and tries not to cast the Anti-Fairies, Foop included, in a bad light. Foop doesn’t appreciate this as much as he should since he believes Pixies are low in the social hierarchy and not worth nearly as much time as Anti-Cosmo gives them.
Considering how much time Anti-Cosmo spends with H.P. and Pixies in general, Foop probably grows up jealous of that attention, and starts withholding his affection from Pixie World out of spite. The last thing he wants to do is be exactly like his father.
Anti-Cosmo is a highly emotional person who likes to work alongside friends; you can win him over if you’re genuinely nice to him (even if you hold opposing political views… He lives for debate). Foop likes results, and favors your political background or research experience over kindness. As long as you do your job well and meet your deadlines, he doesn’t care whether you want to suck up or argue with him about it.
