idk if this is accurate but i’ve felt like in previous seasons riz & gorgug have been one of the inter-bad kids dynamics we’ve seen the least of & this season has been so great in that aspect. gorgug having helped make some of riz’s magic gear. riz helping gorgug with his studies. the shared birthday party. gorgug’s gift to riz being something he himself made to protect riz. riz’s gift to gorgug being something he illegally grabbed to protect gorgug. gorgug who utilizes rage to put his body on the line for his friends & riz who will take deep levels of mental stress for his friends. even though it was within the context of a joke, riz calling gorgug an “absolute sweetie.” like yea they might not be in a band together or both part of a presidential campaign team or owlbears teammates, but they’d go to war for each other, because they’re best friends.

the humans of the IPRE are just so... making me want to walk into the sea. the mission started with two 20-ish year olds, and a 50-ish year old, who may or may not have been the only one who understood what being 20 years old means to humans. and then 110 whole years passed. and after the defeat of the hunger, out of that mission came a 30-ish year old, and a new 50-ish year old, and simultaneously, the same 50-ish year old as ever. the last of which will continue to be 50-ish years old for the rest of the other two humans' long lives. not a single one of them aged in the same way. how am I supposed to emotionally handle that.

I saw a post talking about the JL not being able to recognize when it's not Bruce in the Batman suit, which is all fun and good and a really funny plot for a fic, but I raise you

The JL not noticing when it's someone else because no matter who's in the suit, they're not a threat. B was one of the founding members, and even after all these years he still never let's his guard down, which has the unintended effect of making it so that the others can let theirs down. There's no threat that could get past The Batman on high alert. Plus, B has never, and would never, put them in deliberate danger.

And if it was a threat in the suit, someone trying to impersonate Batman, or even him being controlled, then they would know within minutes if not seconds.

J'onn knows the minds of his colleagues like the back of his hand. Even if he tries his hardest not to read them, getting impressions from their minds is inevitable, and all he would need is one glance to understand that it wasn't Batman.

Clark knows the way his heart beats, the way that air sounds when he breathes. The twitches of his muscles when thinking and the rustling of his cape. He would only need a few seconds around the fake to realize that they didn't breathe home in the same way as the Bats.

Oliver is a hunter made a hero. One wrong twitch from the fake and he's already moving to the best spot for an easy takedown.

Hal has so many years in combat that he wouldn't necessarily even need to consciously know what tipped his off, he just trusts his instincts enough to listen.

Barry is CSI and a certified genius. Diana has dealt with so many things over the years. All of them are heroes for a reason and are good at what they do.

started reading season zero recently, and in one of the panels barry has a broken ankle that healed wrong. wells said very casually that they just need to break it again and let it heal correctly. and barry said “it still hurts, you know.”

and i feel like he didn't say that nearly enough in the show. because some moments were very questionable. take oliver for example, when he wanted to teach barry a lesson by shooting arrows directly into his back.

“hE HeALs fAsT—” SHUT UP. oh my god. what if one of the arrows hit a nerve and he got paralyzed for days? what if it punctured a lung, or both, because it was multiple arrows.

don't get me wrong, i love whump as much as the next guy. but so many times during the show barry was just . . . neglected. and that's putting it lightly.

look at him. look at the silly. my little meow meow. look into his innocent fking eyes and tell me why you thought it was a good idea to hurt him like that.

Barry Bluejeans goes up for adoption at the Austin Humane Society in a few days! He's ~1yo, 10.5lbs, medium hair, fully vaxed and neutered. Good with other cats and dogs but mainly loves people. Needs a few days to adjust to a new place but has been super chill here, just hanging out in the cat tree and windowsill. Loves to give forceful headbutts.

He was nervous and squeaky the first couple of nights here, and I found that playing David Teie helped a lot to calm him down. "Music for Cats" may sound silly but it's primarily the sounds of nursing and purring, made to help cats feel safe.

okay but the thing is, two-sunned planet humans could have all kinds of weird alien biology going on. we just don't know. therefore, what if two-sunned humans actually benefit from having gastroliths to help digest their food. what if it's normal for them to eat rocks

during the crystal kingdom, magnus has a full stomach of candlenights cookies that's bothering him a little, on top of all the stress of saving the world and all. so when he sees the philosopher's stone, some instinct that not even the voidfish could erase makes him think "maybe eating a rock will fix me."

lucretia is so distressed about this turn of events not only because it's a grand relic, but because she's afraid that somehow people will realize that since middle age, she's also had to eat rocks occasionally to keep her heartburn away, and there's no fucking way she'll be able to live that down. could you imagine the questions.

barry, like lucretia, is old enough with enough tummy troubles that he can't get away with forgetting to do it like magnus can. he has to use the coin to remind himself to just munch down on some gravel sometimes (it takes a lot of convincing). if two-sunned elves can echolocate i think two-sunned humans should be able to eat rocks
