#1 Zeus Cabin: Jimmy, Joel Jimmy: He's a Zeus kid, but everyone somehow forgets about it. Joel: He's competitive and strong. Also, because Jimmy is his half brother through godly parent, i get to make a fun bit about him dating Lizzie. And one of his origins in Afterlife SMP was a thunderborn

#2 Hera Cabin: Scott Scott: Scott's whole thing is loyalty. Hera is the goddess of marriage and is insanely loyal to Zeus. However, I feel like Hera should get at least one affair. So now Scott can use peacocks as weapons.

#3 Poseidon Cabin: Skizz Skizz: Poseidon kids tend to be really, really loyal to a fault and heroic, both qualities I think Skizz possesses.

#4 Demeter Cabin: Sausage, Shelby, Bdubs, Stress Sausage: This man built Sanctuary in a jungle and has flowers in his hair. He sells wood. There is no other place to put him. Shelby: Mushroom gnome, spooky mangrove witch, powerful storm witch, i need not continue. Bdubs: Moss man. Stress: SHE HAS FLOWERS

#5 Ares Cabin: Martyn, False Martyn: His planet is Mars, which is the roman version of Ares. He ended Limited Life in such a violent way, i can't help it. He was also red for the majority of Secret Life. False: I just feel like False should get to kill people more often.

#6 Athena Cabin: Grian, Pix, Owen, Xisuma Grian: This sums it up pretty well

Pix: Smart man. Archeologist and definitely a nerd. I wanna see him skipping out on training just so he can read history books. Owen: He likes to explore and discover new things in Pirates. In Rats, he's a tinkerer. In New Life, he's an explorer who wants to study hybrids. In Empires, he's a Llama who's curious about how humans work. Just a very curious character overall. Xisuma: Admin. I'm not elaborating.

#7 Apollo Cabin: Gem, Oli, Lyarrah Gem: She is an Apollo kid because of her Empire in S2. She's the sunlight princess. Apollo kid. Oli: MUSIC. MAN. Lyarrah: She writes the captions for the hermitcraft recap.

#8 Artemis Cabin: Pearl Pearl: Y'know, Artemis could've just like... had a kid, even though she took that oath. It wouldn't even have to be with a guy. Gods can change to whatever gender they want. Anyway, Pearl gets to be an Artemis kid because her symbolism is moon, she loves dogs, and will commit murder and hunt at night.

#10 Aphrodite Cabin: Keralis Keralis: Okay, I don't know why, but Keralis gives me the vibes of a very charming person. His voice is nice to listen to, so imagine how useful it'd be if I gave him charm speak.

#11 Hermes Cabin: Scar, Etho, Joe Scar: Trader Scar, scammer extraordinar. Etho: All i must say is Shady-E's. I get "jack-of-all-trades, master of none, often better than master of one" vibes from him. He's funny, he's mischievous, it just works. Joe: Comedy man. Excellent delivery. And, yet again, i look at this man and go "That right there is a multi-talented man with a habit for mischief."

small town with a secret. the secret is all the mothman sightings are actually a bunch of people. the hermits are a separate species from humans, with insectoid wings and eyeshine, and humans keep catching glimpses of them and going "oh! mothman!". out-of-town researcher team pixl, zloy and lyrrah come in to research them and end up with twentysomething hermits FASCINATED by them.

Several of the hermits are excited that they've gained a reputation! They didn't even know, that's so cool! Pix and Zloy think they finally know all of them, only for Lyarrah to announce she met another. She was hanging upside down off an aerial. The next day they discover one in a bush. One invites them for a cup of tea.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to how the group formed or where they stay. The hermits seem to have different wing patterns and styles, some have antennae, some don't. The only thing that seems concrete is that they call themselves 'hermits'.

And that it appears to be a very complex polycule.

Hi more cat recap

So they’re not actually cat, just like unfortunate people. Pix while not a cat in empires when in a room with hermits he becomes a cat boy.  When the crossover happens he turns into a cat and needs Lizzie to translate. The empires fawn over how small he is and the hermits are forced to grapple with their little cat buddies who Cleo gets to learn exist when Zloy howls learns some human does this too her. Gem, Pearl, and False all grapple with comparisons. Gem has gotten Pix into a dress! A dress!

Cat look wise Pix is a darker orange cat who managed to get covered in some cyan paint. He’s small like take reasonably small, make him smaller. He is just a kitten. Zloy is mainecoon with more calico looking patterns. He is a big boy Ly is also a mainecoon but color is undecided. She is long silky and likes being brushed.

Pix likes redstone not only will he watch people do redstone but he will investigate redstone often winding up stuck cause he doesn’t want to break anything. Pix likes hiding in clothes and sitting on people, do not fly with him though. Ly is an angel who lets people dress her up, she wants to be brushed and cradled like a baby. She enjoys being in a cat harness. Zloy is evil he likes terrorizing Cleo and then acting super sweet to Joe. He’s most prone to just yell.

They gossip with Jellie and they found out recap were human when they tried going to a cat paradice and everyone but Jellie were human. Jellie was mad for weeks.

Tango is super warm, this is utilized, mostly by Doc who is still afraid of cats. Doc will give the cats gifts to leave him alone, but the amount of times he’s heard Pix stuck in his wiring is bad enough nevermind the other 2.

Archeologist Pix origin story - PixZloy

What happens when I watch Sloy and Pix play Elden Ring just after waking up feeling slightly sick… or Something that was on the back of my mind for a long while.

The last thing Pix recalled from before passing out were the endless dunes of Pixandria's desert. Twin moons high up in the sky. Since when were there two moons? And then darkness. 

He should be dead. A simple fact to his mind. He was always ready for the day his life would end. He never expected it'd be something grand or special. Whatever fate had for him he'd accept. And yet...

He was somehow alive. 

Alive. Breathing. And in a place, he could not recognise. A place that was impossible to be possible. As weird as it sounded, that was all his brain could say about this place.

Bookshelves that went up and up and up until he could not see the tops of them through clouds of green and purple smoke with something sparkling in it. Floating candles and rocks with no scale. Some seemed tiny some bigger than Mezalea's palace. White columns with golden details with teal curtains that seemed to be made of that weird smoke and just vanished into nothing at the edges. And all that could be seen through the windows was darkness and... stars? But that should be up. Unless... But that was impossible. No one has ever reached the stars. No elytra had enough durability. No person could breathe that high up.

And yet all he could see through the windows was what was supposed to be the night sky. Both close enough to touch and too far. Just where was he? How did he get here?"

"Finally awake?"

A voice had Pixandria's king looking at a corner of the room he didn't yet look at. There, dressed in a pure white robe with golden details was the most bizarre person. Pix could not say if they were tall or short, the scale seemed out of whack in this mysterious place. They were not sitting on any chair but instead floating in the air cross-legged, one leg hanging down. Their skin was sickly pale and green and their piercing eyes and more golden than all the gold Pix has ever seen in his mortal life combined. Clearly not human judging by the fact that part of the stranger's head was missing, exposing their brain or some decay here and there, disappearing under their robes. They didn't seem too bothered by it.

"I suppose..." Pix said, a bit wary of who or what the stranger was. He read myths about mystical creatures living among the stars. Gods. Celestials. Watchers. All different but similar in how powerful they were said to be. "If I may ask, where am I?"

"Bah, where are my manners, I'm Zloy and we're my home. Some of my kind would say palace but I don't like it," the stranger said as they gently floated down to where Pix was lying on a comfy, huge, bed. As the stranger got closer as they spoke they seemed to get closer to human size. "How are you feeling?"

"Normal," Pix wasn't feeling all that weird or out of ordinary. As weird and extraordinary as his current situation was.

Zloy hummed and gently poked Pix. It was just then Pix realised they had two pairs of arms. Upper left and lower right arms folded back. Lower left on his chin as he thought and upper right poking Pix. "Hmm. Is floating through space in a bubble normal for mortals nowadays? I didn't really pay attention to many worlds these past few hundred years," he asked while poking Pix a few more times.

"As far as I know, no. Last I remember I was... going home," Pix said. He was trying to come back after Vigil got him to go somewhere damn far away.

"Mhm, we should probably get you back then. I'm not sure how long mortals can stay in Watcher abodes before they start to disintegrate," Zloy grinned, as if that was a normal thing to say to a person. "Lucky for you I can figure out what world you're from." Pix could only nod. Watcher? Zloy was one of the most terrible legendary creatures of the stars? But he was nice. And if Pix wasn't slightly freaked out and apprehensive about the undead thing he'd call him slightly handsome (very handsome but he was not admitting that). 

Not that Zloy needed him to say anything. The Watcher just clapped his hands and was back to floating, upside down now but his robes stayed in place and humming. As he did three pairs of giant wings materialised behind him and too many to count, purple eyes surrounded him as he hummed and poked at space. He stayed like this for a while.

"Good news and bad news. Good, I found your world. Bad, something happened and I can't send you there, it's restarting and re-calibrating at the moment and even I can't say how long it'll take," Zloy said as all the wings and eyes slowly vanished.

"Oh... Thank you for checking though..." Pix sighed. At least it explained the lack of connection to the Vigil. He was probably going to, as Zloy said, disintegrate and would never be reborn. It was bad. He was not ready for that.

"Well... I could... No that's dumb," Zloy started something but stopped. As Pix thought he started to spin slowly.

"Could what?" Pix asked. He was really trying to not freak out. He was the king of Pixandria. He could not just randomly freak out.

Zloy froze with his back to Pix for a second and when he was facing him again his so far relaxed expression was tense and unsure. "Well. I could turn you into a Watcher. You wouldn't be as strong as me but strong enough to not disintegrate until your home world is open again, but you'd be connected to me," he explained, slowly landing on the ground that was made of what Pix assumed was starlight and showed more stars under Watcher's bare feet. "You have some time to think about it, I'll tell you if..."

"Yes. We can do that," Pix said slowly. He was not sure if it was a good idea but it seemed to be the only option.

"Are you completely sure? There's no turning back." Pix was sure. He might have thought he was ready for death but he wasn't. Not for this kind. "Okay," Zloy nodded. "You can help me organise my books while we wait for your world to stabilise.

*Many, many years later. Ruins of Ancient Capital of a nameless empire*

A certain archaeologist sat among the ruins, sketching how he assumed they looked in the ages that have passed with no surviving records. It wasn't like anything he remembered from Before. It was probably the first peaceful day since the new Emperors settled in the area. Some were shockingly different from who he used to know. Some were eerily similar. Joel gave him some weird looks. Did his 'god' status give him some insight into what Pix actually...

"Zloy, can you please leave my buttons alone?" Pixl sighed when another button mysteriously fell off his shirt. The third today, he thought as he collected it in one of the many pouches and pockets of his outfit.

"Are you having fun?" the Watcher asked instead, suddenly appearing next to Pix. He didn't change in the slightest since Pix first met him. "And why are you insisting on living in a ruin? Weren't you a king before we met?" Another of Pix's buttons fell off. What was it with Zloy and buttons?

"I never liked luxury, Zloy. Even back then it felt like a waste. Besides, if I want somewhere comfy I can just visit your palace," Pix chuckled as he put his sketching supplies away in their bag. "Would you like a tour?" he offered.

Zloy accepted it with a slight shrug. He didn't really need it but stealing Pix's time was something he enjoyed a lot.

So are pix, zloy, and lyarrah just aliens watching humans they deem to be aliens or something more other? Or are they humans in a space station making sure things don’t get out of hand with the hollow?

They’re the hosts oh KHHR, the local public radio station. They’re usually recounting the weekly news, weather, events, etc., although sometimes they seem to know more than they should. Regardless, they’re always a joy to tune into.

Even if the radio station burned down decades ago…

anyways im gonna talk about eldritch horror watcher pixlriffs now. because i love him.

so pixl wasnt always a watcher, was he? there must have been something before he watched. and maybe he still watched, but not officially. some sort of immortal, ineffable creature, similar to the crawling chaos if you like lovecraft, who will take on a form considered 'normal' to fit in. then the watchers found him and adopted him into their ranks, giving him another form: a more human one, draped in purple and copper finery, veils and wings and eyes, all biblically-accurate-angel vibes. which is pretty cool, if you ask pix. he meets zloy and lyarrah, two other watchers/a watcher and a listener, and the three team up to look over a select group: the hermits. but obviously, the three need to do more than just watch, since theyre not born watchers. and pix? he decides to join a small server, with people such as pearl, who was on evo smp with grian (another watcher), and then several people are whisked away to play third life, so the server (empires smp) is definitely a viable place for him to hide: theres already so much watcher magic, his wont make a huge difference!

but, people are always drawn to the powerful, and pixandria expands. pix knows that as far as the other emperors know, hes the only ruler of pixandria, while they all had ancestors in the world. memories spill over with pix there (the pufferish of peace) but still he tries to stay off the radar. and when he helps kill the dragon? he knows he Messed Up Bad.

so he runs, returning later, but he runs again as he doesnt want to see the destruction of the people he considers friends. pix knows theyre not dead, he knows theyll be back for season 2, but still. so he watches hermitcraft, voicing the recap, and occasionally wanders in empires to keep up with history.

so, s2 comes around, and pix wouldnt have noticed if he hadnt been wandering near spawn, and that pesky but helpful eldritch magic that draws people important to the Narrative to pix draws some of the reborn emperors to him. so he joins the circle, masquerading as an innocent archaeologist, and so what if he can See the past? technology is always advancing, after all.

its a mess when the hermits get there. pix reveals his knowledge, accidentally almost reveals gem, and with the other watcher, grian, there? pix was sure he was going to get berated by xisuma for his Watching hermitcraft. so when it turns out they already know, its such a relief. grian knows what its like not being a born watcher, and promises not to reveal anything to fwhip or the others. also, pearls there, and thats awkward because they Both Know They Know But Refuse To Acknowledge That. then he blows up grumbot, because hes very protective over his world. hes been living on empires for so long, hes laid a claim. the other watchers know not to touch it, and none but the most powerful eldritch gods would dare mess with pixlriffs.

then hes on hermitcraft, and its so weird because hes Not Meant To Be There! It keeps him on edge, and hes glad when he returns, even if he will miss the hermits. and eventually, esmp ends, and pix moves on to a new server to occupy his time.

(i havent watched whatever hes got going on after esmp s2. gotta get round to that at some point)

(also, he uses the survival guide so he can fit in with other players. its a guide so watchers can fit in with players, if they want)

listen I know I’ve said it before but now with what Pix is doing on Empires I’ll say it again: the Recap guys have the MOST Mechanisms energy possible to have. Pix’s historian bit? The way he definitely for sure knows way more than he should and lives sort of detached from the present, but undoubtedly won’t be able to resist getting involved just for laughs? Full Mechs vibes. Even just the Machine monologue in episode two felt SO much like a Mechs song intro. that song would slap I would listen to it in a heartbeat.

And do I even HAVE to say anything about Zloy. Do I even have to. look. just Look at him. Goggles wearing pirate ship space captain sarcastic morally grey undead looking ass. the fact that he probably has no idea who Jonny D’Ville is has been driving me insane for MONTHS, it took me so long to place why his whole deal felt so familiar but once I saw it I had no hope of ever unseeing it. in conclusion I need these two immortal and on a spaceship scripting Recap episodes and arguing over their respective levels of involvement with human current affairs immediately

Centipede Tango Tek - CTT Au Master post

This is my master post about my Tango Tek is a Centipede AU/Headcanon, but now with more coherent thoughts of what I want.

TW WARNINGS: Zombies, Insects, Body horror, Gore, Low self esteem and mental health problems. (If you think I should add another tag pls let me know, this is my silly au I don't want to cause distress to no one.)

Note: As I am writing some things may change, so I will update this note with the date I last changed something here. (08/08/2023)

I swear it's not that bad, but messing with zombie characters gets messy very fast.

In this AU main plot I have:

-Tango is a parasitic modded mob that should not be a player but is.

-He specifically is a Centipede that lives in dead corpses and is basically like a zombie with guts that attack if the main body is damaged/destroyed. 

-Here is a link for a text book description I made of his species.(Somethings I wrote there are not up to date with my current headcanon.)

-Tango being a sentient being and a player, he mostly functions like a zombie hybrid player ex.Cleo and Zloy

- He has two bodies : His decoy body (The corpse of a permadead player he rides) and his real body (His centipede one)

-His two bodies are code linked. Let me explain: Tango Tek code will only show right when he is “complete”, when he is separated his close name tag glitches and Tango appears afk in an admin screen. He will only respawn if his real body is damaged and as his decoy body is a literal corpse, it will only repair itself when the damage taken caused a respawn death. Any other type of damage taken in his decoy body he has to repair it Himself (this type of damage and repair, applies to most undead players, Cleo is one of them.). If Tango is killed without his decoy body, the decoy body will not respawn with him, he has to go fetch it.

- Just to be clear, Tango didn’t just found a random corpse and started riding it, His decoy body is with him since he first “spawned”, He woke with all the information that a fresh new player needs to knows, but instead of the corpse receiving it, what got it was the vermin inhabiting it.

-One thing that makes him stay awake at night is the fact that, he already had a years long register from before he spawned, he had money, he had a Hypixel account and he had a name: Tango. He added the Tek latter, because of a dear friend of his, that is until now the only important OC I dared to put in this AU.

-Tango Spawned in an residential world where being a hostile mob hybrid wasn't looked upon with good eyes, so since early he learned to use makeup and clothes to pass as a mostly human player.

-He spend weeks of his early days training his fine motor coordination, so he can pass as a clumsy human and not a decaying corpse being controlled by a insect (It's like playing cuphead with your keyboard slightly upside down) 

-He spend years isolated in single player worlds, because of the fear of what he is and what would be done to him in the case that other people discover.

-His eyes are red, because his decoy body doesn't have its eyes anymore, so he just uses his own real body to cover it. When someone asks why his eyes are weird red swirls, he just says he was cursed by the "universe".

-This "he is a bug, that rides a dead body and is basically a zombie, but he is disguized as a human" thing, may have started as a form of defense to not suffer from the discrimination that aggressive mob hybrids suffered in that era, but with time it turned in a type of self hate. Even when compared with other zombies and undead hybrids, he can see he is not the same and this really bugged him. He can only say that his red eyes (that are a literal part of his real body) are a curse of the universe too many times, until he started to believe it himself.

-So his disguise turned more permanent than it should. It's been some decades and no one really knows the truth, the only one that really knows is himself "Human" if asked Tango Tek.

-As I said it started as a means of protection, but even when the wheels turned and the ones that were the real problem now are a minority, Tango still is hiding. He knows he is an anomaly, that he should not be capable of thinking of feeling! Someway in his path he started to think of himself as a monster, as an unlovable being and even when he entered Hermitcraft, a place where everyone is accepted, he continued to hide. 

-Now more than his self hate, he has fear: fear of being lonely again, of his family (his only family) hating him for what he is (he hates what he is, he wish he could be normal).

-Tbh he should see a therapist, the really angst part of this AU is Tango's poor mental health state, he is so blinded with his own fallacy, that he is a wrong unlovable monster, to notice that his friends and family never would trade him for anything else.

-This type of self hate is something that builds slowly, but Tango has decades of auto inflicted isolation to construct this narrative. Believe me, Isolation does things to a person's mental state.

Some little curiosities:

-Tango is a make-up guru as a moving plot point, he uses makeup to cover his undeadnes.

-Since he entered Hermitcraft his makeups started to become more and more detailed, he had a few hiccups in the path and Impulse has a lot of blackmail from his failed attempts.

-Because of his "is a bug riding a dead body" thing, he doesn't have a very fine motor skill, so he can't really do things like sewing or anything that requires a good working set of fingers. (His makeup is mostly a exception because he had years to really refine his ability to paint his own face)

-He does his red stone using mostly his real body, he puts the rough components in place with his decoy body and then uses his real body to do the finer connection and setup of the machines. 

-This means that when he does redstone his decoy body just lay where Tango put it before he goes to “redstone world” (anyone who finds it would think that Tango has permadied), he escaped a lot of close calls since entering hermitcraft.

-Fun fact, because he is a anomaly in the code his decoy body and real body are counted as one in his code, and because his decoy body was originally of a human player that permadied, his code when superficially looked just says that he is a human (it makes easier to lie to admins)

-Because of his "bugged" code, he can only access his inventory while riding his decoy body, so it can be tricky if Tango is separated from it.

-Tango can talk as a bug, It's harder without proper vocal cords and has a clicking intonation to it, but he can speak. It comes from nothing and he really doesn't wants to talk how it works.

-As I said previously, Tango is the name of the permadied corpse, the Tek is something that he put after. (Tek is the onomatopoeia of the clicking sound he does when happy. It is too a type of “happy greeting” between bug players)

-Tango has proper formal admin training, he has gone to Admin school and has a degree.

Zloy is a dragon, and where he comes from, dragon bones and scales are extremely valuable, used in magic and different tools.

He's spent most of his life hiding in a human form, pretending to be a monster hunter so people would be less suspicious of his glowing eyes. It comes from his trinkets, they're magical - he claims. It pains him to see how the remains of his kind are treated, as sharing a part of your body with someone else in his culture is the highest honor someone can have.

Pixlriffs is a monster hunter. They work together. Pix has the help of an actual dragon on his hunts, and in return he vouches for Zloy whenever people get too suspicious.

One night they were ambushed by a group of dragon hunters they argued with last night in a tavern. Both of them got captured. They were put in a cage together, poisoned and weak, the hunters waiting for one of them to shift back to their original form.

Pixlriffs was mostly fine, only a minor headache, but Zloy, Zloy knew he didn't have much longer. The poison was too strong, and once the hunters realize it isn't working on Pix he'll be dead as well, sooner or later.

Trying to escape would be his best chance. So Zloy shifted back, his form breaking the cage. Pix jumped on his back and they flew away.

Zloy crashed not much farther. With his last breath he begged Pix to take his horns, his teeth, his eyes. He couldn't bear the thought of the hunters having them, so Pix listened. He took as much as he could carry, his skin and clothes stained in gold blood which could never be fully washed away.

Pix has never felt more wrong in his life.

Several years later, rumors spread about a dragon-worshipping cult of necromancers searching for monster hunters to avenge the fallen dragons, and they may or may not have a certain undead dragon on their side.

There's nothing that can be taken from Zloy now. Ghostly mirages replace what once was valuable on his body, black smoke rising from the illusions. His body, though decayed, takes on a new meaning of majesty.

At least, that's what Pix says, and Zloy calls him a sap. Zloy just thinks he's super cool, and the fast healing is a massive benefit. He also wouldn't describe their group as a cult, but he guesses necromancers don't have the best reputation.

Not that it's ever mattered to Zloy. Pix will always be beautiful to him, despite the gold permanently staining his fingers. And Zloy will always be beautiful to Pix - he wouldn't have dedicated so much time to reviving him otherwise.

so my headcanon for a while has been that players are dreaming (like in the end poem), and that different servers are different dreams. and i have. so much fuel for that with the hc/empires crossover???

so gem is an extremely rare lucid dreamer, whose persona is consistent across dreams. most people change between dreams, but gem doesn't. she just pretends because it's fun. i would say that grian is also a lucid dreamer, but he doesn't bother pretending.

other possible lucid dreamers... maybe pix, zloy and lyarrah? lyarrah got awakened to the true nature of reality and immediately got hired for a job tracking other peoples' dreams. jimmy is lucid and he HATES it. martyn also hates being lucid, but for different reasons.

scar could be lucid, but he chooses not to be because it's more fun for him that way. jellie is lucid and uses it to follow her human. no one knows how the heck a cat became lucid.

everyone else is either not aware at all, or semi-aware. strong emotional connections remain across dreams even if you're not lucid. so tango recognised his rancher, despite not being as lucid as jimmy. joel and lizzie remember being married. they don't question this because... i mean who DOES question shit in dreams?
