WORKOUT
word count: 801
x: typed this out in a couple of hours because I saw these pictures and imagined Roman working out in the outdoor gym and just started writing whatever came to my mind (not proofread) Enjoy this impulsive imagine.
content: 18+ mdni, established relationship, Roman Reigns x reader, Exhibitionism/Vouyerism, doggystyle, (sorta) public
He bought an Airbnb for you two after losing his championship title. Time to get away from the rush of it all. So, you two escaped and went to Miami, enjoying quality time alone in the house, or eating high end food in sparkling restaurants. The house was beautiful in itself. The exposing windows that separated the modern house from the outside. A mix of beige, black, and green. Decorative trees and bushes sprinkled around the house, complimenting the beige and black interior. The house had everything. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a spacious pool with beautiful greenery surrounding it, and an outdoor gym overlooking the water and other modern houses in the distance. Of course, The outdoor gym was his favorite part of the house. And you reeked of the benefits. Watching his beautiful face contort as he pushed through different exercises. His warm caramel skin shining brighter with the sun’s help. You never thought that you would find yourself using the outdoor gym equipment. Except for today, grabbing onto the stable black bar while you and Roman engaged in a…. different type of workout.
“Mhm that ass so damn fat, making me feel so fucking good baby.” Your hand was starting to hurt from how tight you were grabbing onto the gym equipment. Your other arm was no help, being held behind you by your samoan lover. Soo, you wouldn't have to worry about grabbing on to the bar, because your other arm would be held behind you as well. Usually, you shied away from doing sexual acts in public, but he looks so sexy working out, you forgot to have shame while he fucked you stupid. Neither did you try to find shame because of the overwhelming pleasure he was giving you.
Your nails scratched at his forearms, yelling his favorite names in that sweet honey voice that hypnotized him into doing anything for you. “Ooohh~ shit! You’re fucking me so good!” The sight of his woman high off pleasure because of him gave him indescribable feelings of pride and happiness. “My baby so nasty, fuckk- keep talking to me mama,” Roman purred, burying himself deeper in your pussy, marveling at the wetness. Your legs were turning into jelly from his sudden slow and methodical, but forceful strokes. You needed more than that though. “Faster Roman…” His silence let you know what you needed to do. You knew that you would have to beg him to get what you wanted. “Daddy please stop playing! Fuck me for real!” But he didn’t give you any time to catch your breath, pulling you closer to his body by your torso and kissing you. He walked you closer to the edge, giving both of you a better view of the houses around you. But that also gave them a better view of you.
“Ask me correctly.” “Baby, they can see us.” He held you tight against him, slyly slipping his thick hand between your thighs to rub your clit. “Let them see how good I’m fucking you. Ask daddy again.” You let out a heavy breath before saying, “P-please fuck me daddy. I need it so bad.” As much as he liked to tease you, he needed it as much as you did. Your arms were held behind your back again, but he submerged himself in the crook of your neck, talking you through it while sliding his dick back into you. Welcomed by the warmth and tightness he always missed when he pulled out of you. “That pussy feels so fucking good baby. You this wet because of me, huh?” You couldn’t respond before he started fucking you again. Your mouth fell agape, moaning like crazy. “Mhm, let ‘em hear. Let them hear how good I’m fucking this pussy.” His breath on your neck, his hold on you body, the way he fucked you, it made you dizzy. Your mind was going blank, and your knees were going weak, trying your best to communicate to him that you were going to cum without stuttering. “Daddy! Ugh shiit! Please let me cum.” “Go ahead mama, cum for me.” He held you up while you collapsed in his arms, legs shaking, eyes rolled back, screaming his name a couple more times while saying, “I’m coming!” as well. Your moans meshed with his deep grunts and groans, coming deep inside of you with some final thrusts, jerking your body forward. You could feel his chest rising and falling against your back. You grabbed the back of his neck, relaxing into his hold, sweaty and satisfied, close to your man. “Best workout you ever had huh?” He laughs at your joke, but doesn’t let you get the last word. “Just wait until after our date tonight sweetheart. You won’t ever need to hit the gym again.”

Sunsets and footballers (Part 57)
Alexia Putellas x Character (17)
Masterlist (other parts here)
((** Mentions of Lucy and YFN | 4.1K **))
Alexia POV
Alexia’s heart dropped as the door clicked shut. Her emotions boiled over and she let the tears slide down her cheeks. The past few weeks since her injury she felt lonely, weak, cut-off. She did do some of that herself, truthfully. She’d cut herself off from the team to not lay her burden on them. And now it seemed that on top of that, nearly a year of desperately pining over Ridley, she’d also walked away.
Alexia was strong, though. She wiped the tears away. She was used to be alone.
She bent down to do what she always did when upset, put her headphones on and listen to music and then; she explored.
The next hour or so she let herself wander through the penthouse, her mind putting even more pieces of the puzzle together that was Ridley. Neat. Modern. Exceptionally maintained. Obviously created by a very, very good architect and she imagined that Ridley would have been very close to the project in it’s entirety.
Downstairs was the kitchen, the vast living area, laundry, three large bedrooms with ensuites and a sunken theatre room at the far end which was soundproofed. She shook her head at the enormity of it all. She’d stayed in some nice places over the years, but this was something else. She took her time, her hand gliding across surfaces as if they’d speak to her.
She walked outside to the balcony which ran the length of the penthouse, with an outdoor lounge, barbecue area, and a spa attached to a lap pool that beckoned her. She bent down and swiped her hand through. Warm enough to swim and still workout. She’d be coming back to that later.
She moved towards the indoor stairs, that spiralled upwards, her fingers gliding along the perfectly polished wood of the handrail. Upstairs she turned right where there was only one room. Double doors opened to the master bedroom and Alexia hesitated on the doorstep, feeling like she was overstepping. She leant forwards, seeing the large double bed pressed up against the wall, its bedding all different shades of black. She pondered at the bedframe and her thoughts went to Javier’s and his private rooms upstairs where the beds were made for bondage and such. She couldn’t see very well from where she stood, though she did wonder if it had the ability to do just that. Knowing Ridley, the answer was yes. Of course it could. Her mind shifted to how many people had been in that room being pleasured by her. Being adored by her. Being fucke-
Alexia caught herself and her jealousy. No, she wouldn’t let herself go down that path. She turned to the right which was an open bathroom, the bath and a little bit of the shower on display. Two shower heads. Did she used to date someone? Is that why-
No! She scolded herself. Stop. Alexia, stop.
She pulled the bedroom doors closed and made her way to the rooms on the other side of the staircase. One was a gym, a large area with an array of different work out equipment and a large mat in the middle that she assumed was for martial arts. She wondered if she could use it for her rehab with the physio Lucy had suggested. And then her mind shifted to wondering if Ridley would teach her some self-defence there…
There was a library and work office together in one room, separated by a large archway without a door. Somewhere she could zoom into Jonatan or the Barca physios if she needed. One wall was purely glass ensuring it was hit with the perfect amount of sunlight and it had a door leading out to another balcony which ran down to the master bedroom.
Past those two rooms and at the end of the hallway was a dark door which she opened to a pitch black room. Her hand felt around for the light switch and felt the familiar feel of soundproofing. As she flicked the lights on, she realised it was a music studio. Ridley and her love of music. Alexia had never attempted to learn an instrument before, always too busy with her other hobbies. Saying that, she loved music. It was her life, it lifted her when she was sad, calmed her when frustrated and even prepped her for games. She couldn’t live without it.
She felt the guitars and wondered which was her favourite, or if perhaps it was the piano sitting alone. The studio was set up well with a sound booth as if to properly record music and she wondered if she had. She went back out to the control room outside the sound booth and looked through the music on the shelves. There were vinyls, she smiled at the CD’s – how millennial of her – and then sat down at the desk in front of the Mac.
Although Ridley had said she was welcome to anything and everything, she did feel a little like she was intruding. Regardless, she made her decision and clicked on the touchpad. The screen lit up. There was no password, surprisingly, it just went straight to the desktop. Alexia searched around hesitantly, hoping to find some music, any music. At least that’s what she tried to convince herself. Really, she knew what she was looking for. And… she found it. A whole file of it. Ridley’s music.
She hesitated again, her mouse icon hovering over the first file. She connected her headphones to the computer and clicked on that first file. And then there it was, the sound of an acoustic guitar softly being played. She closed her eyes and leant back into the chair, listening to the gentle way Ridley was playing the instrument, as if expressing her emotions from the deepest part of her. Alexia could feel her mind calming, her body relaxing and then… her voice. Like she’d never heard it before. She’d heard her playing loudly for crowds at Javier’s with a band. She’d heard her do covers. But she’d never heard her like this. Vulnerable. Passionate. Almost whispering. Her voice husky with emotion. She sung in Spanish and again, Alexia found herself crying and feeling everything Ridley was at the time she’d recorded it. Oh, Ridley. Was music her only escape?
The song ended and Alexia was a mess, sitting in the darkened room, her eyes red and puffy from the tears she’d allowed to escape. Or rather, the tears that Ridley’s voice had drawn from her. She moved her mouse icon to the second file and went to click when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
Alexia yelped and jumped in her seat, getting the shock of her life. Ridley?
She spun to an older man looking guilty. He spoke, but she couldn’t hear. She pulled her headphones down and stood.
“I’m so sorry,” he apologised in Catalan.
“You….you’re…” she hastily wiped her tears away.
“I’m one of the housekeepers, Benjami. Lovely to meet you, la Reina.”
“Alexia, please. Lovely to meet you.” They shared a Spanish hello as another man entered the room.
“Alexia, this is my husband, Richard.”
“Hello, ma’am.” He responded in slightly less comfortable Catalan as he smiled.
They were adorable. Ridley had mentioned they were a couple, but not a gay one.
“You’re both Catalonian?”
Benjami shook his head. “No, I am, however Richard is English.”
That explained Richard’s limited Catalan.
“He move here for I,” Richard explained.
“Oh…” She didn’t know what to say. She felt like she’d just been caught, and that she had too many questions to ask. “Where did you meet Ridley?”
“In Barcelona,” Benjami explained. “My sister and her husband are housekeepers of her home in the city. Richard and I lived there for a long time, and decided it was now fair to spend time in his home too. Ridley offered us this job a few years ago and it’s the best thing that’s happened to us.”
Ridley… how on earth did she think she was ‘not good’? She was the definition of good.
“I’m so sorry for interrupting you. I didn’t see your headphones.”
“No, it’s okay. It’s my fault. Thank you for both speaking Catalan. I miss speaking it…”
“Ridley said you would prefer that.” Benjami smiled.
“Her Catalan is very better than me,” Richard admitted.
“We can speak Spanish or English if you prefer?” She offered.
“No, I want a practice! I am happy for Catalan, thank you!”
“Also I didn’t know which room to put your suitcase in,” Benjami admitted.
“Oh, that’s okay.” She said, smiling thankfully at the older gentleman. “I haven’t chosen yet.”
“I suggest the far one on the left, it gets the best morning light.”
“Okay then, sounds perfect.”
“Would you like dinner?” Benjami asked. “Ridley suggested classic Catalonian for you tonight as you’re already too out of your normality of Barcelona. I know how that feels.”
Ridley was looking after her even when she wasn’t there. “That would be lovely, thanks.”
“Perfect! It’ll take a while as you know, so you have a few hours to keep exploring. It is quite large! We’ll leave you to it.”
They left then and Alexia was stood, not knowing what to do but suddenly grateful she had company. She left the music and went to pick out a bedroom.
Alexia’s suitcase was in the corner bedroom when she got downstairs. She unpacked, even though she didn’t know how long she was staying for, and the first thing she did was use that gym. She pushed herself for a good 45 minutes, feeling guilty that she wasn’t training everyday like the others. Her knee was painful, but she pushed through it, doing her weights and telling herself it was all in her head.
She was warming down on the treadmill when her knee went and she yelped in pain, hopping off and falling to the ground, clutching at her knee. Her mind immediately went to panic. Had she done her meniscus? Her ACL?
She knew it was neither, though she couldn’t stop those being her first thoughts. The pain went away gradually and she sat up, stretching it and massaging it out. Her workout was done.
She limped her way back down to the bottom floor and didn’t bother to change before falling into the pool. That sweet relief. She was a water baby, being Spanish, and felt the immediate ease of tension that was weight on her knee.
Swimming had always been a nice reprieve for her. One of her favourite types of rehabilitation for her knee. She swam a few slow laps before getting out and showering for dinner.
She shared dinner with the older couple who had made several typical Catalonian dishes done very, very well. They chatted, laughed, spoke of home and helped Richard with his pronunciations. They spoke of Benjami picking her up the next day to go to Lucy and Blau’s, organising a time. She said she didn’t know how long she’d be there, but it wasn’t an issue for him. He always found things to do.
Although they insisted she didn’t, she helped them clean up and made sure they took some food home with them as they left.
Alexia settled into bed, full and warm besides the icepack Richard had wrapped up for her knee. She stared at the ceiling wondering again why the fuck she was in London. It was so unlike her, and although Ridley wasn’t there, she seemed to still be taking care of her from afar.
Her protectiveness. Her resilience. Her strength… her voice… her whole aura. The way she protected Blau. The way she truly saw her. Brought them a surprise. Cared for Chiquito. Loved her music.
The way she’d gripped her neck that night, and she hadn’t wanted it to stop.
Alexia’s breathing became ragged as her hands found her neck where she’d been holding and drifted down to tease her nipples through her shirt.
The way she looked at her.
Her fingers trailed down her abdomen and one slipped under her shirt, feeling across the skin of her body while the other drifted lower.
The way she’d leant over her at lunch, her arm and leg warm against her own.
Although they were her own fingers, she still drew in a sharp breath as they slipped through her wet folds which betrayed just how much she liked the Australian.
The way she’d brushed up against her in the plane and asked if she were going to behave.
“Good girl.”
Alexia’s fingers circled her clit with purpose, drawing that legless feeling out of her, and whimpering at the sensations.
The way she’d guided her through fucking another woman, her body against her back as she ate her out. As Ridley had lined their fingers up and pushed them inside of the women together.
Alexia pushed two fingers inside of herself, moaning at the feel and wishing they were Ridley’s. She’d know exactly what she wanted. Her spare hand moved to the other nipple, flicking it. Exciting it. Pinching it.
She thrusted into herself a few times, enjoying the feel of her body mindlessly clenching and unclenching as she pulled her wetness up to her clit and covered it, rubbing herself mindlessly. Needlessly.
The way she’d slipped her hand down and touched her, expertly fucking her as she tasted another. Ridley’s way of keeping that distance between them. She’d touched her like she knew her body better than herself. She’d never entered her, just expertly teased her clit and drawn that ecstasy out of her like it was easy. It was never easy for Alexia, but right now, and with Ridley, it was.
Her spare hand moved up to her throat and choked herself as Ridley had, her back arching off of the bed as she rubbed her bundle of nerves to the point of no return.
Ridley. She’d made her come in just a few minutes, her front pressed warmly against her back; her breath tickling her ear as she murmured encouragement while she came.
She was unable to stay silent as she moaned, whimpered, gasped her name again and again. Ridley. Ridley. Ridley. With her back arched tighter than a bowstring, Alexia came to her memories of the smell of her, the feel of her, the heart of her. And she heard herself let out a pained cry of ecstasy as her body locked up and spasmed.
Ridley’s POV
Ridley hadn’t slept. How could she? She’d suggested Alexia come to London and then left her to be alone. She could offer everything, make sure everyone was checking up on her, but it would never be enough. She didn’t realise just how much she didn’t trust herself around the footballer. Not until the plane.
She was in a meeting and grudgingly entertaining the opinions and suggestions of those around her only because they were key stakeholders, though, she had no plans to go ahead with any of them. It was her company. Her decision. Not a board. She was the majority owner. Her company which was world-wide. The one she’d created from the ground up to provide training to pilots, make recommendations of candidates for piloting positions in the militaries, passenger liners and general aviation around the globe. Her company which covered that large gap in the market and made sure people were adequately trained, resourced and prepared. There was nothing her company couldn’t do when it came to aviation. Provide flight reviews for airlines around the world. Provide appropriate type-rated pilots to fill gaps for the larger companies. Training and type-rating. Liaising with aircraft manufacturers to ensure better ease of use and functionality in the flight decks. It was growing exponentially every year, and always, people had something to say. To suggest. To beg her for. And regardless of any of that nonsense, she was zoned out thinking about Alexia Putellas.
Her lips and her hazel eyes and that hair she was so obsessed with. She could control herself most of the time, but not when it came to pushing the hair from her eyes or tucking it behind her ear.
She knew she could have her right now. She could walk into that apartment and crash their bodies together and Alexia would happily accept it. It would be the most incredible, mindblowing sex. She knew that.
She didn’t need to staying in the hotel in town. There was no reason for her to. She just wanted to provide that distance to avoid any interactions like that. Any possible slips of discipline on her part, not that it wasn’t rare to happen. There was so much good in her, so much happiness. She needed that and Alexia wouldn’t find it in her. Because the good in her, the part that deserved to be loved, died the day her family did.
“And the US navy would like another ten recommendations of…”
The voices drowned away. She knew her colleague was taking notes scrupulously as he usually did. Never missed a beat, that one.
Her body was feeling cold and empty. Nothing could fill it. She thought of calling up one of her regular London benefits but she didn’t because she knew there would be no point. It wouldn’t take the ache away. She was so mad at herself for being so weak, and yet that madness was overcome by that feeling of longing. She needed to make sure she was okay. To know how she was doing.
“I’m going to make a phone call,” she said loudly to the room.
“We’ll wait,” one said quickly, knowing she was the one with the power in the room. It was incredible how submissive powerful men became when they knew they needed her. Which was always.
“No, don’t. Keith is all over it.” She refused and flashed him a wink as she left the room.
She walked out of the conference room of the hotel and found a quiet spot in the bar area, ordering a drink. She pulled out her phone and called Blue.
“Hey Riddles!”
She always loved hearing her say that.
“Hey baby Blue, how are going with everything?”
“Checking up on me are you?”
“Don’t sound so surprised.”
“I’m not, Lucy just looked offended. I’m great, it’s difficult to do daily tasks but we’re managing. I’m more worried about Lucy’s knee as she carries me everywhere.”
“She’ll be okay.”
“How’s work?” She asked sceptically.
“Oh you know, little men begging.”
“Ah, so you’re having a fun day then.”
“Yeah…”
“What’s up, Riddles? You’re not sounding yourself.”
She took a sip of her drink that had just arrived. The waitress winked as she walked away. “I’m okay.”
“Talk to me…”
“It’s nothing, Blue. How’s Alexia?”
Blue paused, understanding immediately as she usually did. “She’s… good.”
“She’s happy?” At this point, she couldn’t even care how obvious she was being.
“I mean… yes. We’ve been having a fun day.”
The way she spoke made Ridley realise she was probably sitting right next to her, and she would be unable to walk away for privacy with her injuries.
“Doing what?”
Blue laughed. “Well we played a board game and made some lunch and right now I’m being interrogated…”
“And after lunch?”
Blue sighed, probably at her persistence. “Lucy is going to the park with Alexia and Narla to kick the ball around later on while I work. And then Alexia has a rehab session with Meg tonight.”
“Okay.”
“Would you like to co-”
“No. No, I was just checking in.”
“Hm.” She could practically hear her thoughts telling her to just message Alexia.
The thought of her sitting next to Blue and knowing she was checking up didn’t sit well with her.
There was a pause. A moment of silence. She knew Blue wanted to talk, to offer advice but she couldn’t because she was right there. And Ridley… Ridley didn’t know what to say. She was too conflicted.
She knew she should have hung up, but she didn’t.
“Is she happy…?” She asked again.
Blue sighed softly and Ridley could feel her looking at Alexia. “She’s lonely, Riddles.”
Ridley knew she was, but it still didn’t stop it hurting. And the fact that Alexia had heard her say that. Blue was trying to encourage her to get out of the hotel, to spend time with her. But she couldn’t. Her pride wouldn’t let her.
“Thanks for inviting her over,” she murmured.
“It wasn’t for you.”
“I know.”
Ridley hung up, downed her drink and went back to her meeting feeling even more terribly than she had before she’d left.
Alexia POV
The physio, Meg, was attractive. Very attractive. She and Alexia immediately fell into sync with each other and it was just so natural to flirt. She was 100% Alexia’s type, and suddenly, she was back to her dominant self.
Meg hadn’t found anything wrong with her knee, she believed it was performing well and suggested that it may be a mental barrier rather than a physical one. Alexia had also wondered about it, almost wanting to push her knee… to test it to the extreme to see if it would handle the pressure. Meg was patient though. Kind. Caring. She’d massaged her in all of the right places, and relaxed it more than it had been in a few days. The girls had been right, she was fantastic. As her fingers kneaded her upper thigh she thought back to the night before and how she’d touched herself. She quickly pushed the thought of Ridley out of her mind and instead thought back to the last time she’d had sex. She almost gasped when she realised that Ridley was the last to touch her. It had been that long. She hadn’t let anyone touch her since. Part of her wanted to stay that way… and part of her said she needed sex to try and distance herself from her emotions. Maybe that’s why she couldn’t stop thinking about her.
And so Meg flirted, and Alexia flirted right back. Shamelessly. She left the rehab session, having barely made it out without fucking her right then and there. God, she was sexy.
“I’ll see you tomorrow…” she murmured, looking to Alexia’s lips and back.
The only thing stopping Alexia was that they’d only met an hour ago.
“See you tomorrow,” she flirted, flashing her a grin that Meg trembled under.
Meg leant in so close that Alexia’s heart skipped a jump as she slid something into her jacket pocket and whispered. “Message me.”
Benjami was chatty as he drove her back to the penthouse, talking about his day with Richard. It calmed Alexia to listen to it. How could it not? Two people very much in love and excited to share their day with her. They had again planned a dinner for the three of them, having agreed to it after their fun the night before.
Richard greeted them with a far off call from the kitchen as they entered and it smelled like home. So, so good. She hung up her jacket and kicked off her shoes as if she’d been living there for years.
“Ten minutes!” Richard called.
Dinner was almost ready. It was much, much earlier than she ate in Barcelona but she didn’t mind. Benjami started towards the kitchen to help when he snapped his fingers and turned to Alexia.
“Sorry… I forgot to mention the gifts in your bedroom.”
She tilted her head in question, though he didn’t answer, just giving her a soft smile instead as he moved towards the kitchen.
Alexia made her way to her bedroom, wondering what they’d bought her, or rather what Ridley had asked them to buy her. Was it because Blau had said she was lonely on the phone that day? Alexia’s heart had dropped at the honesty of it when she’d said it and Blau had immediately given her an apologetic smile. Alexia knew it was her way of telling her friend to be better.
She entered the room, and the first thing she saw was the easel. Her eyes followed it to the blank canvases, all different styles. Pencils. Paintbrushes and paint. Her favourite hobbies. Her heart skipped a beat. Ridley.
She took the note off of the easel and read it, her hand beginning to tremble.
Your first gift is to pass the time.
Your second gift is for company.
She was confused, wondering what the second gift was. Her eyes wandered the room and fell on her bed. She took a sharp breath in as she saw his little grey body curled up, fast asleep.
It was Chiquito.

What are the most effective exercises for weight loss?
When it comes to losing weight, the key is to find exercises that you enjoy and can stick with consistently. Here are some of the most effective exercises for weight loss:
Walking: It's simple, free, and accessible. A brisk walk can burn calories, improve your mood, and be easy on your joints.
Running or Jogging: These are great for burning a lot of calories in a short time. If you're just starting out, you can alternate between jogging and walking.
Cycling: Whether on a stationary bike or riding outside, cycling is excellent for weight loss and also builds leg strength.
High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT): These short bursts of intense exercise followed by rest periods are incredibly effective for burning calories and boosting metabolism.
Swimming: This full-body workout is gentle on the joints and great for building endurance and muscle while burning calories.
Strength Training: Lifting weights or doing body-weight exercises (like push-ups and squats) helps build muscle, which can increase your resting metabolism and help you burn more calories even when you're not working out.
Group Fitness Classes: Activities like Zumba, kickboxing, or spin classes can be fun and motivating, making it easier to stay consistent.
Yoga and Pilates: While these might not burn as many calories as some high-intensity workouts, they help with flexibility, muscle tone, and stress reduction, all of which support weight loss.
Rowing: This is a fantastic full-body workout that targets multiple muscle groups and burns a significant number of calories. Plus, it’s low-impact.
Jumping Rope: It’s not just for kids! Jumping rope is an excellent cardiovascular exercise that can burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time.
Dance Workouts: From hip-hop to ballroom, dancing is a fun way to get your heart rate up and burn calories without it feeling like a chore.
Hiking: If you enjoy the outdoors, hiking is a great way to combine cardio with strength training (especially if you’re tackling hills).
Stair Climbing: Whether you use a stair machine at the gym or take the stairs whenever possible, this exercise targets your legs and glutes and can really get your heart pumping.
Kickboxing: This high-energy workout helps you burn calories while improving your coordination and building muscle.
Elliptical Trainer: This machine provides a low-impact workout that can help you burn calories and improve your cardiovascular health.
Additional Tips for Maximizing Weight Loss with Exercise:
Consistency is Key: Regular exercise is more important than occasional intense workouts. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity each week, combined with muscle-strengthening activities on two or more days a week.
Mix it Up: Variety can prevent boredom and target different muscle groups. Combine cardio with strength training and flexibility exercises for a well-rounded routine.
Stay Hydrated: Drinking water before, during, and after workouts helps maintain your energy levels and improves performance.
Monitor Your Progress: Keep track of your workouts and progress. This can help you stay motivated and make necessary adjustments to your routine.
Rest and Recovery: Don’t underestimate the power of rest. Your muscles need time to recover, which helps prevent injuries and improve performance over time.
Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to how your body feels during and after workouts. It's important to push yourself, but not to the point of injury or burnout.

What do you know about Pilates?
Did you know that a German invented it?
mod
Inventor of the Pilates method (1883-1967)
Denise Steger (Linz am Rhein)
In 1929, Pilates opened his body training studio (Universal Gym) at 939 8th Ave, The Van Dyck Building. On his business cards, he gave his date of birth as 1880. It is not known why he made himself three years older, presumably to promote how fit you can be even at almost 50 years of age. The text on the cards read: ‘A MAN IS AS OLD AS HIS SPINE IS FLEXIBLE – A WOMAN AS OLD AS SHE LOOKS IN THE MORNING’.
The ‘Universal Gym’ in New York, run by Pilates.
Despite the world economic crisis, Pilates was able to make a great success of the studio, with athletes, business people and actors, including Catherine Hepburn (1929-1993) and Sir Lawrence Olivier (1907-1989), but it was mainly dancers who were enthusiastic about his training method. Among them were the pioneer of modern dance, Martha Graham (1894-1991), who founded the Martha Graham School of Dancing in Manhattan in 1926, and many stars of the New York City Ballet. During his 38-year career as studio manager, his client list included over 2,000 students. In the 1940s, a Canadian magazine classified the Pilates studio as ‘a high-class exercise salon’ due to the high fee of $10 per session. In addition to Clara, his niece Mary Pilates and Clara's niece Irene Zeuner-Zelonka assisted him.
In 1934, Pilates published his writing ‘Your Health’ and in 1945 ‘Return to life through Contrology’ (Return to life through ‘Contrology’), which describes the philosophy and principles of his method. They are based on the pursuit of whole-body health, in which body, mind and soul are in balance, which can be achieved through physical exercise, proper nutrition, hygiene, balanced sleep, plenty of outdoor exercise and a balance of work, leisure and relaxation. Through the exercises he developed, ‘Contrology’, mental strength and mental well-being are also developed. The special form of Pilates breathing, consciously performed during the exercises, allows the body to function optimally. As an ‘inner shower’, it is said to cleanse the body and ultimately lead to the rejuvenation and strengthening of the entire person.
A Pilates class at Jacob's Pillow University of the Dance, where Joseph Pilates taught between 1941 and 1951.
The equipment developed and patented by Pilates himself – there were over 20 of them – not only added an additional dimension of body strengthening and correction of posture to the so-called ‘mat training’, which consists of a series of 34 floor exercises, but was also used in rehabilitation. Pilates created a special exercise programme for injured people, such as dancers, and worked with these clients in a separate room. The success must have been considerable, because the orthopaedic surgeon Dr Henry Jordan adopted the Pilates training concept in his therapy, as did Dr James Garrick, founder of the first clinic for dance medicine.
Pilates held numerous lectures and courses for both doctors and students at the Chiropractic Academy, taught on US military bases and founded the health group called ‘Return to Life’. He documented his work extensively with photographs and film. 1939-1951, Pilates regularly taught at the summer camp for dancers ‘Jacob's Pillow’, Berkshire Mountains, where the pioneers of contemporary dance, such as Ted Shawn, and many students met. Joe and Clara owned a house there.
Joseph Hubertus Pilates treating a customer.
Pilates died of emphysema, which had apparently been bothering him for some time, at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York on 9 October 1967, shortly before his 84th birthday. His urn and, later, Clara Zeuner's urn were buried in the Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, New York.
Clara Zeuner continued to run the studio until 1972. After her death in 1976, it was taken over by the classical dancer and Pilates student Romana Kryzanowska (1923-2013) in 1977.
In the meantime, his students had spread the Pilates method worldwide, which in its further development split into different styles. Even today, many stars who are looking for fitness and figure-improving methods see Pilates as the ideal training and contribute to the popularity of his method. But the Pilates method has also been incorporated into modern sports science, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, where it has been supplemented and refined according to the latest findings.

Lea's home
Chapter 6 pt.1
The top floor of Lea's house is occupied by a private gym. It's equipped with everything from treadmills, rowing machines and cycles to weights, bars and dumbbells. It also has a 10 m long pool. It is a pretty nice gym. While I'm not exactly allowed to use it freely as I see fit, I'm not too bothered about it as the owners rarely use the gym facilities. And being on the top floor (a lot of stairs), it's as good as deserted. Almost like it's MY personal gym. Now and then when college ends early, I rush to Lea's house to use the gym quickly before my shift starts.
The only issue is Khushi, the appointed trainer of this residence. Khushi is a muscular woman, with defined facial features and beautiful brown eyes, a straight pierced nose and plump lips. Her long black hair is usually braided and drapes her back like silk on a sculpture. Her flawless brown skin define her lean muscles so prettily, she would make a perfect anatomy model. A long time outdoor and mountain marathon running enthusiast, she has a lean build with long arms and long legs, as well as perfectly sculpted D cup breasts.
Being a trainer, she specializes in all things sports and exercise, and frequently monitors the vitals of the family to keep track of things like body weight, fat percentage, muscle weight, loss/gains.... and most importantly: heart beat and blood pressure.
I just know she must be an excellent candidate to be hooked up.... heart being listened to.... the way she places her hand on her chest when she stands watch... the way it subtly bounces... but I haven't dwelt on it. I rarely use the gym and when I do, I have to make sure Khushi isn't there to rat me out to the owners. As such, I avoid her and rarely interact with her.
What a pity.
Today happens to be one such day, classes ended early and I have 2 hours till my shift starts. I decide to make the best of it and rush over to Lea's place. As the maid I have access to the house schedule. I notice that the gym is due for a cleanup, and there's no classes scheduled. Perfect. I could bring my maid uniform and in-case someone comes in, I could quickly change into my maid uniform and get to work. Simple.
I race up the stairs, open the glass doors to the gym and slip inside. Once in, I spot my favourite cardio activity: the treadmill. I quickly wear my shoes, tie my hair into a messy bun, turn on the machine, and start.
5 mins go bye and my heart has settled on a steady 140 bpm, going strong. I decide to jog for 15 mins as warm up, and hit my biceps today. Suddenly I hear a tussle from the staircase. My body immediately goes into panic mode as I swiftly turn off the machine and run to the changing room. Once inside, I hear footsteps, and quickly attempt to remove my crop top. In my panic I fail to notice the footsteps nearing the changing room. As I slip out of my tights the door barges open. I freeze, heart thudding in my throat. Khushi is staring at me, in my deep cut sports bra and tights halfway removed. She smirks.
"My little kitten, what were you doing in here? Changing clothes?"
She speaks in a sensual yet pleasing tone, capable of pulling everyone's attention to herself. Her loose tank top over black cycle shorts accentuates her curves and muscles even more, she looks incredibly sexy.
"H-hey Khushi, how come you're in today? I am scheduled to clean the gym so I was just changing into my uniform here...."
I pray she buys it.
She doesn't.
"The treadmill was slowing down when i entered, you have anything to do with that? Seeing how we're the only people here... and I definitely didn't use it...."
She knows. Why is she doing this to me? Why's she so strict? Just let me go!
"I'm really sorry Khushi, please don't tell the owners!"
My heart stammers as I scramble to look for an excuse.
"But you know I must my little kitten! The other workers are not allowed to use the equipment without permission and you know this!" she says this in a calm berating voice, as she traces her manicured fingernails across my cheek and down my neck. Her finger subtly rests on my carotid pulse, and I can feel it pushing against her finger with such force, and I know she's feeling it.
Her finger lingers there for a moment longer. I can see her beautiful eyes calculating her next words, and suddenly it lights up. Oh no.
"Ok. I'll help you, I'll keep it a secret......under one condition."
There it is. I'm going to agree to it no matter what, else I loose this haven of a job.
"Yes, anything, tell me what I can do!"
Her whole demeaner changes in a split second, and she's back to her upbeat bubbly self. "You can help me out with my sports medicine thesis! Just follow my instructions to the tee and I'll keep your secret between us.... hell, I'll let you use the gym facilities without getting caught! How's that of a deal, sweet right?"
I want to say yes immediately, so badly, but I know there's a catch. There's something she's not explaining fully. Otherwise, this would be too good to be true.
I sigh resignedly. "Umm..... Ok. Let's do this. What do you need help with?"
She perks up, eyes shining with mischief. "I need to record the cardiovascular changes of the heart before, during and after exercise. This exercise includes and cardio and weight training. Of course, I'll be doing the grunt work and hooked up on monitors, I just need you to tell me how it's beating, the blood pressure, and help me record it properly. I might need to record yours here and there, for baseline if you don't mind."
Yes. YES. This is what I wanted. I've wanted to do this. I've waited for an opportunity like this, and I can't let it slip by.
"YES!" I blurt out, sounding a little too eager for my liking. She smirks in response.
"You can remove your tights, don't change into anything new, It makes movement easier for you."
I got a little shy, but i am in no position to make demands. I see her removing her own shirt and cycle shorts, her sculpted breasts snugly sit in a sports bra with a matching set underwear. I can't believe I get to see all this. My eyes drink in her entirety, memorizing everything about her curves, her hips, the way she walks, everything.
She opens her bag and grabs two sets of steths, attaches one firmly to her mitral valve. She makes her way to me and without asking for permission, she palpates my left breast, moving them around as she sees fit. Finally she settles for my mitral valve as well, and securely attaches the steth. My heart is beating fast, fluttering lightly. I know she felt it. I try not looking at her breasts, try not to locate for any visible palpitation. The steths are connected to a recording device, monitoring both our heart rates. The right arm is connected to a blood pressure cuff, continuously relaying the rise and fall.
Both these devices are also connected to her laptop. Finally after finishing her setup, she looks at me, a sense of hunger in her eyes.
"Watch me closely, please. Keep an eye for my heart." She says, steadily getting on the treadmill and starting her run.
The machine whizzes to life, and she starts stretching her limbs and her eyes sharpen, like a wild cat ready to pounce on its poor prey. I begin recording, keeping an eye out for the changes along the way. Initially her pump starts with a steady 90 bmp with the usual 120/80, breathing steady and deep. Slowly she increases the speed and 10 mins in, she is going fast, almost sprinting. Her heart is pumping amazingly at 190 bpm, with an astonishing 195/110. I envision her arteries working hard, trying to accomodate the mucle forcing blood at such high pressures through them. Khushi is so focused that she remains quiet staring straight ahead. I so badly want to listen to the sound of her organ, but I don't want to do anything that could potentially upset her, lest she revokes her offer.
She stops after 15 mins total, breathing heavily and fast. With her hands clutching her chest and eyes closed, she looks slightly worried. She suddenly looks at me, steps off the treadmill and closes the distance. With a shine in her eyes she grabs my hand and forcefully places it over her sternum. Her sports bra, soaking in sweat, does little to muffle the powerful pump, and I instantly close my eyes as I feel her thump away at 190 bpm, shaking my hand. Her body covered in sweat and her ragged breathing makes it hard for my hand to stay in position but that hardly affects the way her heart pumps forcefully, so beautifully, pushing her chest away from me. Khushi's heart is amazing. My other hand reaches for the headphones which are connected to the steth but she bats my hand away, her lips puckered like she's annoyed. I feel her recovery beats and watch her slowly gain back her breath.
I am completely entranced. My mind starts stripping her and I envision pushing my fingers inside her where I know I can torture her little heart a bit further, pushing it to its boundaries. I wonder what kind of face she'd make.
"Next is the pool!" she quips in her cheerful voice, pulling me out of my trance. She motions for me to bring the setup to the indoor pool and I set it up in the corner, free from potential splashes. I wonder how her heart will react this time. I am desperate to be a part of her, and my mind is filled with unspeakable thoughts. I can't wait for this pool session.

Staying Fit Without Going to the Gym
Hey Fit Fam,
Welcome to this week’s edition of the LiveForeverFitness Newsletter! Today, we’re diving into a hot topic: how to stay fit without ever setting foot in a gym. Whether you’re juggling a busy schedule, tight on cash, or just prefer to work out at home, I’ve got some simple and effective ways to keep you active and in shape, no matter where you are.
1. Bodyweight Workouts Are Your Best Friend
You don’t need fancy equipment to get results. Push-ups, squats, lunges, and planks are all you need to strengthen and tone your body. Try this simple circuit:
10 push-ups
15 squats
20 lunges
30-second plank Repeat 3-4 times for a full-body workout!
2. Get Creative with Everyday Items
No dumbbells? No problem! Use what you have around the house:
Canned goods as weights for bicep curls or shoulder presses.
A chair for tricep dips.
A backpack filled with books for added resistance during squats and lunges.
3. Take Your Fitness Outdoors
Nature is the ultimate gym. Go for a run, hike, or bike ride, and incorporate activities like jumping rope or playing basketball. Parks are great places to add incline push-ups or step-ups using benches.
4. Incorporate Flexibility and Mobility
Stretching and mobility work are key to long-term fitness. Try incorporating yoga or Pilates into your routine for improved flexibility, strength, and stress relief. If you’re new to yoga, there are plenty of free online resources to get started. Plus, in our next newsletter, I’ll dive deeper into how we can encourage more men to join in on the benefits of yoga.
5. Consistency is Key
Without the structure of a gym, it can be tough to stay motivated. Set small, daily goals like a 30-minute workout or hitting a step count. Find something you enjoy—whether it’s dancing or an online fitness challenge—to keep it fun and engaging!
Stay Connected That’s all for today’s newsletter! Remember, you don’t need a gym to stay fit—you just need the determination and a bit of creativity. If you found this helpful, share it with a friend, and don’t forget to follow us on social media for more tips and inspiration.
Until next time, stay active, stay consistent, and Live Forever Fit!

Stray from the path || Nicole & Xóchitl
TIMING: Pre-goo LOCATION: Downtown PARTIES: @vanishingreyes & @nicsalazar SUMMARY: Nicole and Xo find themselves lost on their way to the bakery. CONTENT WARNING: None.
Nicole didn’t enjoy the gym. She knew how vital it was for the job she loved, especially now with fire season in full swing. It was required to stay in top shape for all the digging and carrying and lifting every shift demanded of her. Still, it didn’t mean she liked being trapped in a room with a bunch of strangers. Admittedly, that applied to more than just the gym. So many other places earned the same disdain for her. She’d always have a soft spot for outdoor activities, not the monotonous repetitions with shitty equipment she had to endure. Fresh air was always the preferred alternative. Even when said fresh air was everything but, well, fresh in Wicked’s Rest.
Even less enjoyable than the exercising itself, were the shower stalls, though she had certainly seen a lot worse than them in the past, so she couldn’t fuss about it too much. Nicole had other things to take care of afterwards, so as usual, she’d endure the shitty water stream for a few minutes if it meant feeling clean and fresh until she could make it home later that day.
When she came out of the lockers, her gym buddy was already waiting for her. Nicole shouldered her bag in acknowledgement, a small but grateful smile on her lips. Even if the gym was very low in her list of favorite places, sometimes, finding people to make it all go faster was enough to endure the torture. “Look— I’m ready to get out of here” she huffed, nodding towards the exit.
And as soon as the rays of sun hit her, she felt her mood change. Nicole pulled her still wet hair into a bun and glanced at Xochitl. ”Gotta— Have to pick up some stuff at the bread cemetery, is that in your direction? Should we…” her brows dipped, her tone was laced with uncertainty. That last part was never easy. Maybe the other woman was ready to go home. Were they at that point of their relationship? Or were they supposed to just stick to fitness advice? “Uh, walk together?”
The gym was simply a place for her to go so that she didn’t just stay holed up in her house or office. Besides, ‘something something’ about exercise being good for mental health (which begged the question of why, after all her efforts to get into sports and other exercise, she still had the level of paranoia and anxiety that she had – not that her moms knew that). Still, she’d found herself falling into an acquaintanceship of someone else who went to the gym. Xóchitl wasn’t sure if she could call it friendship, exactly, but whatever it was, it did make going to the gym at least marginally more desirable.
She’d showered quickly and was absent mindedly scrolling on her phone, replying to a work email or two, while she waited for her gym acquaintance/buddy/whatever the two of them could technically be defined as. “I’m ready to get out of here, too,” Xóchitl responded once she heard Nicole’s voice, finally glancing up at the other woman.
“I could use some baked goods, so let’s go together.” She offered Nicole a kind smile - even if they were just gym acquaintances, Nicole was undoubtedly one of the people she found most tolerable - even enjoyed - in town. A voice in the back of her mind told her to not get too attached, because people were fragile, easy to lose, et cetera, but she also knew - both from her studies and just from common sense - that completely isolating herself wouldn’t help, either. It wouldn’t help her investigating, and it would probably also make her feel even lonelier than she already felt. “I’m starving, especially after that workout, so I could use something.”
The uncertain curve of her lips —that someone could’ve classified as a smile, if only by strict definition— grew bigger, open. More confident. “Great,” Nicole nodded, proud of herself for asking. She’d figure out if she was able to maintain a proper conversation on the way to the bakery. Something else to be proud of, pushing her worries for later. She supposed it was all those happy post workout chemicals making this a lot easier. Maybe that was also why she found Xo so easy, by her standards, to talk to. It had never occurred to her before.
Nicole fell into step with her as they exited the building and strolled down the street, the subject of food making her stomach grumble. She chuckled, ignoring the heat creeping up her neck. “Don’t know about baked goods for myself but—” she distanced herself for a second, letting a woman with heavy bracelets and a distinct scent of jasmine pass between them. “Picking up bread for my— Leah, she’s obsessed with bread” her gaze fell to the ground, a smile equal parts fond and shy tugging at her lips. She had spoken about her girlfriend before, when the subject of partners briefly came up. It was one of the easiest things to talk to, always. Though she wondered if it was strange for Xo to hear about it, having never met her before. It was hard to stop though, Leah was by far the most interesting part of her.
As the pair turned around a corner, Nicole signaled to their right. “We should cut through the field, I think…” she pointed at the abandoned soccer field, her usual shortcut on the way to the bakery. “Looked like you were really blowing some steam back there,” she picked up their conversation where her mind had lingered on, “stressful week?”
She’d planned to go to some sort of café after the gym, after showering, because the idea of being completely alone after being around so many people was not something that Xóchitl even remotely liked the idea of. So Nicole’s invitation couldn’t have come at a more opportune time. “Great indeed!” She said, nearly in unison.
“You know, of all the things to be obsessed with, I think your Leah chose one of the best options that’s out there.” That much she at least halfway believed, and it was the kind sort of thing to say to Nicole anyhow, so she stuck with it because she did like Nicole and she wanted their times together to continue to be pleasant, which it wouldn’t be if she was too off-putting or closed off. Though, another thing she liked about Nicole was the fact that it seemed as though even if Xóchitl did close herself off to some degree, she’d still be accepted by Nicole. “What’s her favorite bread? If I haven’t tried that for myself then I’ll have to get a loaf, or set of rolls, or however the bread comes.” She was making quite a bit of a fool of herself now, wasn’t she?
“The field works for me, yeah.” She shrugged at Nicole’s next comment. “Mhmm. I mean, not drastically more than usual, but yeah. How about yours?”
She let out a quick laugh, nodding her head slowly, considering Xo’s words. “Guess you’re right. Least it’s food— stuff you need” granted, maybe no one needed 5 different loaves of bread, but she wasn’t going to be the one bringing that up to Leah. Not again. Nicole learned her lesson that first month of dating. She was certain the pros and cons excel sheet must still be somewhere in her computer. “You should get French baguette. Classic. She’ll claim to have many favorites, but— She gets the happiest when I bring that one” There was nothing wrong with the classics. Though maybe the french baguette they sold at the Bread Cemetery wasn’t the authentic recipe. She couldn’t know. She was fortunate enough to not be French.
“It’s— well, fire season… you know?” Maybe she didn’t know. But Nicole recalled Xo mentioning she was a local, she had to know how wild Wicked’s Rest got in terms of forest fires. Not only did they face the typical weather threats, but they had to add the supernatural element to the issues. And— wait, was she a local? Or was that someone else? Shit.
They crossed to the other side of the street, passing through the beat up fence and entering the field. The whole time she had lived in Wicked’s Rest, Nicole had never seen anyone play there. And that much was obvious as she stepped on the poorly trimmed grass. “It’s been… less exhausting than past years— the job, I…hmm. But still. Some days I can’t feel my body” she shrugged nonchalantly. That was a given, considering the conditions they had on the field.
Nicole wasn’t sure why it was taking so long for them to walk a relatively small field, but she didn’t question it. Not for several minutes. Maybe the grass was slowing them down. Until she noticed something on the far wall. “I thought… didn’t we see that graffiti?” she could be wrong though, maybe it was a similarly looking one. Yeah. It had to be that.
“I’ll get that one, then.” She nodded. “That sounds like a perfect choice.” Xóchitl thought for a moment. “Maybe I’ll get really good butter or something to cover it in. I feel like that’s a good thing to do.” Looking over to Nicole for confirmation, she offered her companion a smile. “If you had to pick a favorite, what would you choose?” This was beyond what she and Nicole normally talked about, but there was a certain part of her that craved deeper connection than just hanging at the gym. If Nicole didn’t want that, Xóchitl trusted her enough to evade the question, or say that she didn’t want to answer.
That would be fine. Disappointing, but fine.
“Oh, yeah. That happened when I was a kid, too. It’s so sad, what it can destroy, but I’m glad the town’s got someone like you helping out.” Though it may have sounded like a throwaway compliment, generic, Xóchitl hoped that Nicole knew she meant it. “I mean, I haven’t been back in like, twenty years, but I guess fire’s fire.”
They took a turn, and then were on a field – one that Xóchitl wasn’t sure she could entirely remember seeing before, but there was a good deal of her childhood that she simply didn’t remember, so that wasn’t anything to be concerned about. It was only Nicole’s words that broke her out of what felt like some sort of trance. “Mmm?” She shook her head. “Uh, maybe? Or it’s the same artist? I’ll admit I’m not sure.”
“You’re actually making this sound really good,” Nicole huffed out a laugh. She liked bread, genuinely. What was not to love? But it never felt like she did when she was with her girlfriend. That was a different kind of love.
The question caught her off guard, bag slipping down her shoulder as a result. Nicole adjusted on time before it landed on the ground. She inhaled, uncertain if she had an answer. “Ah— Uh. I’ll eat whatever, really” Was that too boring? Maybe not, but it felt like a lie. She chewed the inside of her cheek, trying to access some of the memories that didn’t seem to be rushing to her aid. “Don’t know. I’m not— maybe sobao. O pan de agua. Don’t exactly make them around these places, though”. Even somewhere like Pura Vida was strictly Mexican cuisine. She didn’t particularly thought much about it nowadays, but it was just one more way her existence felt so fucking lonely in a place like Wicked’s Rest.
Nicole felt the tips of her ears heat up, but she took the compliment with a nod and a tight smile. That happened a lot. It felt nice, of course. Being appreciated, but she never had the right words for it. You’re welcome I didn’t let your town burn to the ground? It was all too self important. “Ah, that’s the story. Couldn’t remember if you’d mentioned that before,” and maybe she hadn’t, but at least now Nicole would make an attempt to remember it. “Couldn’t stay away from the town?” she threw the comment in the shape of a question, in case Xo felt like expanding. It seemed to be the case for a lot of people. Unable to fully let go of the shackles this town had on them.
Nicole stopped in front of the graffiti, brow furrowed in confusion. “Could be” she admitted, her eye for art, even in the form of graffiti, was never too keen. “Yeah, probably that” she convinced herself and resumed her walk. For how long, she wasn’t sure…but something started gnawing at her. How long had it been since they stepped into the field? Why weren’t on the other side yet? Was time moving slower? And then, the graffiti—again. “I think we might be in a loop?” it sounded stupid right as it came out of her mouth, but…what the fuck?
“It’s my own kind of expertise,” Xóchitl’s lips turned up in a halfway sort of smile. As much as she knew Nicole relatively well (as much as one could know anyone they’d only ever really talked to in the gym), there was some strange part of her that felt almost shy. Like she didn’t want to disappoint the other woman. Like it would be so easy to, even though Nicole had never given any indication of being even somewhere in the ballpark of being a snob.
No, if anyone were that of the two of them, it was absolutely Xóchitl.
“It’s a miracle we’ve even got a decent Mexican place up here, so I understand.” At least somewhat. At least mostly. “Do you cook any of that yourself? I know my mom sometimes’ll send me things, and I keep meaning to get better at cooking – so someday, maybe, if I do, I could try to make something for you?” She held her breath, posture straightened into something overly formal, suddenly. Because again, even if they were walking to get bread, they were gym friends, and Xóchitl didn’t want to overstep with that.
“No apologies needed, I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it before. I don’t always talk a lot about my childhood to anybody, so more than likely I’ve not brought it up before but regardless, it’s fine.” The less time focused on the past, the better. The less chance of entering territory that Xóchitl desperately wanted to stay away from. “Guess so.” Another shrug, non-committal. “Though I’m not looking forward to the winter, heh.”
Xóchitl nodded at Nicole’s remark, “probably, yeah.” Except that they kept walking, and the bakery wasn’t that far away and neither of them were especially short, and they’d already been walking for a while. “How – what do you mean, a loop?” That made no sort of sense. “I’m walking straight.”
“Right” Nicole could sense the tension in her own smile, but it didn’t make it less meaningful. Rather, she hoped it didn’t. “I think— uh, maybe I should check that place out sometime” Pura Vida would probably feel more like a distant cousin, but Leah liked that place too. Maybe this was the final push she needed to get it over with. Maybe this was also a sign that her gym friendship with Xo could evolve into something else. She was pulled from her thoughts by the question. “No, not very good— learned some stuff, but—” she shrugged, catching herself before diving head first into her own triggers. At fifteen, the eldest daughter at that, she was already supposed to be accomplished in the kitchen. The older maternal figures in her life had made sure to pull her away from sports and start steering her into domestic labor. Funny how none of that mattered in the end. And now she was unable to honor that part of her culture.
“I’m a pretty good chopper” she offered, eyebrows furrowed together, hesitating before saying what she really wanted to say. “Could always learn together?” There. Just like she had convinced Leticia to go rock climbing with her. Nicole could only extend the invitation, the rest was out of her hands. It just— was a lot fucking easier said than done. “Your mom ever bothered you to pick up a knife or whatever?” Sure, not all hispanic cultures were the same, but some things? Some things were sadly too generalized, like that whole machismo culture.
Nicole nodded, having no room to judge. And clearly, there was a reason Xo didn’t talk about her childhood often. The same reason Andy hadn’t spoken much about her family when their friendship began. Or the same reason Teagan never disclosed her fae identity. Emotional landmines. She hoped one day they’d be able to talk about the heavy stuff, but she felt no sense of entitlement to it. Xo decided not to expand on it and that was it. And, as much as some people hated it, the weather was still a decent ice breaker for her. “Not a fan?” Nicole always had a fondness for the winter. Not so much about the snow and the salt and the—
Something was definitely wrong with the field. Nicole checked her time, noticing how many minutes had passed since they presumably had walked past the fence. They should’ve been at the bakery by now. And Xo was asking her about the loop situation which only increased her confusion. “Because—” fuck. Was this the best time to explain supernatural bullshit to someone? What if Xo didn’t believe in it at all? Worse, what if she was one of those who insisted there was nothing wrong with Wicked’s Rest? “You know how—” Unsure where she was going with that sentence, she decided to scrap it, pointing behind her instead…or—ahead of her? It was hard to tell. “We’ve passed that twice I think, and that one cracked bench? Four times already” somehow they kept losing their way. Why were they lost on a soccer field of all places? That made no sense. And how could they get away from this? Leah wanted bread. Leah. “No chance you know what’s going on, right? Might text my girlfriend”.
“I think you should, yeah. I can come with you, if you wanted?” Xóchitl offered a shrug, because maybe they hadn’t quite reached that sort of friendship yet, and maybe she was overstepping. It was a weird thought for her to have, because for all that her mind wandered into places she would rather it have stayed away from, she didn’t usually overthink her social interactions. Usually being the apparent operative word today, given that she was doing the whole over-thinking thing right now.
“I’d like to learn together, yeah. That’d be good.” Her moms had always cooked, and Xóchitl just hadn’t had any real desire to learn it. Not for any sort of complicated reason other than the fact that it didn’t excite her and she’d been keen to do things that excited her as a child, and then, in the After, it just hadn’t seemed worth it. Not when she couldn’t use it as an excuse to bake cookies with her best friend. “Eh, she did, but I didn’t take to it. I think I got bored far too easily, probably. Or something like that…”
Another shrug. “I mean, I think I just prefer other seasons more, you know?” Nicole didn’t know. Because the two of them weren’t close close, even though Xóchitl found that the more they talked on this walk, outside of the gym, the more she wanted to be. To have an excuse to talk about food and the weather and other things with someone else.
“No chance I have any idea, no… I was hoping you had some clue. I don’t know if we’re both just wildly dehydrated, or too hungry, but I still don’t think it makes sense that we’ve walked in loops this many times.” Xóchitl brought herself to a halt, pressing her fingers against the bridge of her nose. “I support that, if you think she might have an idea.”
Nicole would always be grateful there were people in the world who found it easy to make friends. To talk, to socialize. Maybe in her childhood, before the jaguar got a hold of her, she had been on track to become someone more extroverted. Nothing too crazy, surely, she was always on the shyer side, but someone who wasn’t a victim to their mind. Who didn’t have to rehearse things in her mind, who didn’t second guess natural instincts, like wanting to befriend the nice woman at the gym. Someone normal. “Great. Uh—we’ll… we’ll do both…those things. Sounds good, right?” But Xo made it easier, people like her always did. Removed the pressure off Nicole. Her shoulders dropped, once the invitation she’d extended seemed to gather a positive reaction. Right, they could do this. Together. Go places other than the gym. Polish some vital life skills, share the differences and similarities in their respective cultures. There was a surge of adrenaline, as she realized she’d managed to get this right. The whole befriending thing.
She nodded, pulling out her phone. Leah would know, she always did. Or, if she didn’t she’d at least find a way to get them out of the grass unscathed. A few seconds passed before a reply flashed on her screen. “She can help”. Nicole began typing the situation with as much detail as she could, and when she got a text back asking for a description of the grass, she knew the wheels in her girl’s head were already turning. Nicole did as best she could: Color, length, sensation, whether or not she felt hungry. That last one after being prompted by Leah. Eventually the answer to their problem came in a simple sentence.
“Turn… your shirts…inside out?” It sounded like a joke, or like she was messing with her. Any other person, and Nicole would’ve been so sure. But this was Leah. Who kept collections of books on things outside of the ordinary. “She thinks—Uh, this uh…” She couldn’t say fae. Or she could, and risk sounding mad. She wasn’t particularly interested in that option. “One of those…weird— This is some Wicked’s Rest type bullshit, she thinks”. She didn’t meet Xo’s eyes as she said, attention instead on her phone. Waiting for Leah to add onto the solution. But nothing came. That was it. “Leah wouldn’t say this unless she was sure. She knows— she’s lived here her whole life, she— I trust her” Nicole pocketed her phone, cheeks radiating heat in anticipation of what she had to do. She dropped her bag and pulled her shirt off, swiftly turning it inside out. At no point she focused on whatever Xo was doing, looking at the grass instead. She prayed Leah was right otherwise this situation would become more awkward than it already did.
In another life, Xóchitl figured maybe she and Nicole would’ve gotten to meet outside of the gym, that she would’ve struck up conversation and become proper friends in another more natural way. Not to shame anyone who became friends only based on circumstance, or to say that meeting someone at the gym was unnatural, but still.
She was also probably reading too much into all of it, she realized, but couldn’t help herself, what with the train of thoughts once they’d gotten all started up.
“I’m glad she can help, because I don’t know anybody I can just text out of the blue to solve confusing problems like this one. So it’s very lucky you do.” Xóchitl watched as Nicole texted her girlfriend, gaze wandering off, legs wanting to follow her gaze, when she snapped back into attention at Nicole’s suggestion.
“That’s – well, weird, but that’s nothing I can’t handle.” She quickly slipped off her shirt, not bothering to check if Nicole was watching. Xóchitl was many things, but shy about her body was not one of them. She pulled the shirt back on and ran a hand through her hair. “Well. I – do we think it worked?” She certainly hoped it had.
“I’m lucky,” she agreed. The corners of her mouth pulled upward, and a gentle wave of affection warmed up her chest when Xo complimented her girlfriend. Or rather, the existence of the bond that allowed her girlfriend to help them out of the grass. It made no difference to Nicole, whose heart swelled with pride and love. She nodded confidently, sensing Xo’s movement next to her, but refusing to check. She appreciated the absence of questions. Had she been on the other side of the conversation, Nicole wasn’t sure she would’ve been so quick to follow those instructions. Right. She would’ve questioned the fuck out of anyone telling her to take her shirt off because that was the only way to beat ‘fae grass’. Fuck that. But Xo was, fortunately for them, more receptive than her, her easy going nature proving a good ally to solve their issue.
Trying not to pay attention to how ridiculous they probably looked, Nicole stared ahead hoping for a sign they had defeated what Leah had referred to as ‘Stray sod’. Xo spoke aloud the same question lingering on her mind. “Won’t know till we start walking. I think… uh, and— we get out of here”. She clenched her jaw, deciding to test her theory. She signaled for Xo to follow, though the woman was already moving along with her, very likely just as ready to be done with the confusion. Craving that bread they’ve been speaking about earlier. Nicole took in her surroundings. “Alright… that’s—” They passed by the graffiti. That wasn’t new, but it wasn’t bad either. It meant they were walking past it. If Leah’s plan worked, if the shirts worked then… they would never see it again.
Her strides continued with more confidence, when something appeared before them. A deflated ball, almost buried in the poorly kept grass. In the distance, the fence appeared closer, at least it was what Nicole wanted to believe. The landscape had slightly changed from what they’d been seeing for minutes. “Okay. This is— should be working”. The rest of the walk was silent, Nicole was busy observing and spotting new things around her. The graffiti no longer in sight. The faded mural always showing a new drawing. And finally, they crossed the other side of the fence, the street welcoming them. Nicole looked back, the field looking as small as it had initially. Fucking weird. From inside her bag, she pulled a hoodie to put on top of her shirt. She blew a huff of relief. “Gonna have to get some extra bread for Leah, right?” she muttered in a deadpan, a shy smile reaching her lips. “C’mon, let’s go before that shit gets to us again” she urged, lifting a shoulder. It was safe to say, she made a mental note to never try shady shortcuts on her way to the bakery again.

Prisoner 007: Shigeru Rin - Trial 2
General info
Verdict: GUILTY
Physical changes: He's grown out his right strand of hair, reaching down to his chin while the rest of his hairstyle stays the same. His once dark purple strand of hair has been dyed turquoise. He's been diligent in following his usual routine, but the nightmare make it hard for him to sleep well, so eyes bags have formed under his eyes.
Behavioral changes: His whiny and demanding self from the first trial is no more. He's become more withdrawn and quiet, no longer interacting with anyone except Noa who approaches him first. The only request he's made since the beginning of the second trial is for some turquoise dye, which Noa requested for him. Why did he decide to dye his dark strand of hair turquoise? No one knows.
He's been having nightmares and hearing voices, which puts a huge toll on his mental state. He's always very tired now, his typical expression alternating between blank and sullen. His emotions are extremely unstable and he lashes out at his fellow prisoners when he gets angry. His self-imposed isolation isn't helping him either.
Trailer art: Rin stares at you blankly with his hands by his sides, standing surprisingly relaxed. Behind him, an elegant white wooden door with delicate carvings of flowers and flying leaves. The flowers are painted pink and their leaves a dark green, while the flying leaves are red and brown, embodying the themes of spring and autumn.
Voicelines
– Second trial trailer
I can't take it anymore.
– Character voice trailer
What are you doing here?
Cover info
Canon Milgram song cover: I love you (Yeah, he's basically like an angry Mahiru. The lyrics really fit his feelings towards Renho and his guilty verdict. Its fun to imagine him matching Mahiru's cheerful tone as well since its so unlike him.)
DECO*27 song cover: Candy Pattern (Ah yes, unhealthy relationships. Also, his first vd had the word candy in its name too, so that's a nice little detail.)
Non-DECO*27 vocaloid song cover: One of Repetition by Nekomushi (Gentle reminder that this is all based on Rin's perspective, and he really did feel hurt due to whatever Renho did. Haha :D)
Music info
Song title: Fall
Song preview: Life and death are two sides of the same coin. If only I could rewind time back ages ago. Maybe then I would have never gotten to know you. Did you wish the same?
Am I living? Am I really here? Endlessly, I babbled these questions to the void of wisdom. The answer never echoed back. Running and running, but never catching up. How pointless.
MV description: Most of the music video takes place in a park just like the first MV (Rin just loves this park huh?), but new locations like a hospital and Rin's school are featured for a brief second. The song itself is more emotional compared to his first song, and his tone shifts between lots of strong emotions throughout the song.
The MV starts with Rin lying on the floor of a small white room. The walls and floor appear to be made of the same smooth material. The camera rotates from a bird's eye view. Rin's eyes remain closed.
The camera cuts to a scene of a park in summer. The sun is bright and the leaves swaying in the wind are dark green. Children run wild in the playground as adults stand by, owners taking their dogs for a walk, a few old ladies using the outdoor gym equipment. The girl from the first MV steps into sight, younger and beaming cheerfully with a missing front tooth. The camera cuts to a young Rin sitting on a bench. Hs face is quite pale and sunken. Renho reaches out her hand. Rin takes it. She helps him to his feet.
Then a montage of Renho playing at the playground as Rin follows her around. She rocks furiously on the spring riders, barely makes it through the monkey bars, and squeals as she goes down the slide. Rin struggles to keep up, having to catch his breath at some points. He looks nervous as he slowly goes down the slide.
He gets back onto his feet and his surroundings change, the seasons going by like a sped up recording. He grows taller and his outfit changes with the seasons. Five winters pass and the surroundings stop changing on the sixth autumn.
The camera cuts to an older Renho walking along the park path covered with leaves. Rin notices her and runs over. He was slightly shorter than her when they were younger, but now they're the same height. There's a pile of leaves up ahead, and he pushes Renho into it. Some of the leaves fly up into the air when she crashes down. Rin laughs gleefully. Renho looks up at him and laughs as well.
The camera cuts back to the white room. Rin opens his eyes and gets up. A door appears by the wall in front of him. He starts walking towards it. A scene of little Rin walking through an empty hospital hallway, dragging a bag of fluids with him. A scene of an older Rin walking through a crowded school hallway. Back to the white room, where Rin pushes the door open. A crack can be heard from the audio. It reveals a smaller room inside, like a closet. A life-sized porcelain doll lies in the tiny space, limbs positioned in weird angles. It lacks eyes and has a large crack on its head, with purple hair and two dots painted below its right eye socket. A replica of Rin. Rin stares down at it apathetically, then closes the door. End.
Author's notes
The first picrew's only skin tone is more greyish, and the second picrew doesn't even have any mole or eye bag options. So the two pictures of Rin ended up not looking like each other. The second one looks more like Rin's healthier long lost bother or something.
I changed his dark purple strand of hair to turquoise just because it looked nice and definitely not because its so hard to find picrews with two shades of purple hair options.
I don't know where his deep lyrics came from. They came to me just like that, like Rin had possessed me for a while.

Shedding Pounds and Boosting Fitness: Your Guide to Effective Treadmill Workouts
Starting on a journey to lose weight and improve fitness doesn't necessarily require expensive gym memberships or intricate workout routines. One piece of equipment that can make a significant impact right within the comfort of your home or even your office is a treadmill. This versatile machine can be your ultimate fitness companion, helping you burn calories, improve cardiovascular health, and achieve your weight loss goals. In this blog post, we will dive into the world of treadmill workouts and how they can be your key to a healthier and fitter lifestyle.
Choosing the Right Treadmill Before you start your journey, it's crucial to choose the right treadmill that suits your needs. Consider factors like the available space, budget, and the features you require. Choose a treadmill with adjustable incline settings, various workout programs, heart rate monitoring, and a sturdy build for optimal results.
Setting Realistic Goals Weight loss and fitness improvements are best achieved with realistic and attainable goals. Set specific targets for yourself, such as the number of pounds you want to lose per week or the distance you aim to cover during each workout session. Having clear goals will help you stay motivated and focused.
Structured Workout Plans To make the most of your treadmill workouts, it's important to have a structured plan in place. Aim for a mix of cardiovascular and interval training. Begin with a warm-up at a comfortable walking pace and gradually increase the intensity. Incorporate intervals of higher intensity, such as jogging or sprinting, followed by recovery periods of slower walking. This approach can help boost your metabolism and burn calories effectively.
Incorporate Incline Don't neglect the incline feature on your treadmill. Walking or running on an incline engages different muscle groups and increases the intensity of your workout. It also simulates outdoor terrain, making your workouts more varied and challenging.
Monitor Your Heart Rate Many modern treadmills come equipped with heart rate monitors. Keeping an eye on your heart rate can help you stay within your target heart rate zone, ensuring that you're working at an intensity that's appropriate for your fitness level and goals.
Variety Is Key Monotony can be a motivation killer. Keep your workouts interesting by varying your routines. Experiment with different speeds, incline levels, and workout programs. You can also listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks to make your sessions more enjoyable.
Consistency and Progression Consistency is the cornerstone of success in any fitness journey. Aim to work out on your treadmill regularly, gradually increasing the duration and intensity of your sessions. As your fitness improves, you can challenge yourself with longer workouts and more intense intervals.
Balanced Diet While treadmill workouts play a significant role in weight loss and fitness, they should be complemented by a balanced diet. Focus on consuming nutrient-rich foods that provide the energy your body needs for workouts and recovery.
Hydration and Recovery Staying hydrated is essential during your treadmill workouts. Keep a water bottle nearby and sip water throughout your session. Additionally, prioritize post-workout recovery by stretching and incorporating rest days into your routine to prevent overexertion.
Conclusion
Owning a treadmill can be a game-changer in your quest to lose weight and enhance your fitness levels. By setting realistic goals, following structured workout plans, and making use of the various features your treadmill offers, you'll be well on your way to achieving the healthier lifestyle you desire. Remember, consistency and gradual progression are key, and when paired with a balanced diet and proper hydration, your treadmill can become a valuable tool in your fitness arsenal. So lace up your sneakers, hop on your treadmill, and stride towards a fitter, healthier you!

Tips for finding the best deals
To find the best deals on used fitness equipment, start by checking online marketplaces like Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or eBay. Check local classifieds as well. When searching for used equipment, be patient and check listings regularly. You may have to wait a while to find the right item at the right price.
Checking the quality of the equipment before buying
Before purchasing used equipment, it's important to check the quality to ensure that it's in good condition and safe to use. Ask the seller for detailed photos and a description of any wear and tear. If possible, arrange to see the equipment in person and try it out before buying. Pay attention to any unusual noises or wobbling when using the equipment, as these could be signs of damage.
Building Your Own Equipment
Cost-effective equipment that you can make
Building your own equipment is a cost-effective way to add to your home gym. Some easy and affordable equipment to make include sandbags, medicine balls, and a plyo box. These items can be made with materials found at a hardware store or even items around your home.
Safety precautions to follow when making your own equipment
When making your own equipment, it's essential to follow safety precautions to ensure that the equipment is safe to use. Be sure to research and follow instructions carefully, use appropriate materials and tools, and test the equipment thoroughly before using it for your workout.
Examples of DIY fitness equipment
One example of DIY fitness equipment is a sandbag. To make a sandbag, you will need a duffel bag, sandbags, and duct tape. Fill the duffel bag with sandbags and duct tape the bag closed. Another example is a plyo box, which can be made with plywood and screws. A medicine ball can also be made by filling a basketball or soccer ball with sand or rice and wrapping it in duct tape. There are many resources available online for instructions and tutorials on how to make your own equipment.
Cleaning and Maintaining Your Home Gym Equipment
The importance of cleaning and maintaining your equipment
Cleaning and maintaining your home gym equipment is essential for your health and safety. Regular maintenance and cleaning can prevent the buildup of bacteria, mold, and mildew that can cause infections and unpleasant odors. Proper maintenance can also prolong the lifespan of your equipment and ensure that it is safe to use.
How to clean and maintain different pieces of equipment
Different pieces of equipment require different cleaning and maintenance methods. For example, dumbbells and resistance bands can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Exercise mats can be cleaned with a solution of water and vinegar, and then hung to dry. Cardio equipment like treadmills and ellipticals should be wiped down after each use with a damp cloth, and the console and control panel should be cleaned with a disinfectant spray.
Tips for increasing equipment longevity
To increase the longevity of your home gym equipment, it's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and maintenance. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or rough sponges that can scratch or damage equipment. Store equipment in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight or moisture. Additionally, lubricate moving parts on equipment like treadmills and ellipticals regularly to prevent wear and tear.

We made it into our house finally. We were gonna head to Arizona today for the holidays but honestly I kinda just want to chill In our home for a minute so we will head out tomorrow. I’m gonna drag my feet repacking my belongings again and I started a list (which I don’t ever do) because I’m afraid I’ll forget a Christmas present.
Our house is nicer than expected? So far anyway. This is my first time living in army on post housing (I mean I lived in air force housing as a kid generations ago). I hear the screams of many a spouse complaining about the plagues that fill on post houses. When we drove by it when we first got to the area it didn’t look too impressive. Me and the spouse side-eyed one another and briefly considered looking off post. But they assured us this house would be one we wouldn’t want to pass up. It’s across the street from an advanced leader officer school of sorts and where those high ranking people live. I tried to YouTube what the houses look like but there’s multiple styles in the area and the best video I found was from 9 years ago and a lot could have changed since then. Essentially our options were to stay in a hotel and look for alternate housing or wait til the 19th to view and move into the house assigned to us. Couldn’t view ahead of time. So if we looked at it and it was full of mold and roaches we’d have to move back into a hotel and search again. That’s kinda a lot to bargain with.
But anyway we got here and it doesn’t look it from the outside but it’s actually a lot of house. 3 beds/3 baths lol. The living space and kitchen are huge. The backyard is huge. The 2 car garage is huge and this is literally the first house I’ve lived in with linen closets. There 2 outdoor storage spaces (Connected to the house that are the size of walk in closets) We have a nice long hallway that I can literally throw the dogs ball down and get indoor exercise. I don’t really know what to do with 3 bathrooms. I don’t know what to do with the third bedroom. My issue I guess is I dont have enough stuff to fill the space. I don’t know if I should use the third bedroom as a gym or leave it in the garage. We couldn’t park both our cars in the garage if gym equipment were in it. Or I could use the third bedroom as my office space but there’s an office nook off our kitchen.
Downsides are the master bedroom is shaped weird. We had planned to upgrade our bedroom furniture anyway but my old set of a queen bed and dresser I don’t think would fit in the master without occluding windows, the closet or bathroom. Guess that set is just going In the guest bedroom but that means I need a new tv stand for the master. We also have no tv stand for our primary tv in the living room because our apartment we moved out of had a mantle we put it on. Living room is hardwood floors so kinda need a rug. Also bathtubs are a little small. I kinda like a soaking tub for spa time (spoiled). Our kitchen has ugly appliances and we had to go buy a microwave. Last the backyard is really nice but full of stickers. Our dog ran out there super excited until she realized she ground bites and I had to de-pincushion her paws. So now she’s traumatized and won’t leave the patio. I’m going to have to google how to fix that as a priority because I need my dog to be able to utilize the yard lol.
Anywho, our furniture comes Jan 2nd. I bought some new shower curtains and floor mats for the bathrooms. Think today we are going to look for a cheap tv stand. Gonna look for the nearby gym and then pack.
