Synastry & Composite Chart Notes/Observations part ll:
🪐༘ Moon in the 10H synastry: Moon often feels a strong sense of pride in the 10H person, even if they don't know them very well. They can become very emotionally invested in this person's success and are often highly defensive of them, particularly from public scrutiny. (sidenote: if you have Moon in or ruling your 10th house, you might that find people feel this way about you regardless of where their Moon sits in your chart.)
🪐༘ Composite 3H Uranus/Uranus-Mercury: These placements can often speak to sporadic communication - going long stretches of time without speaking and then messaging each other out of the blue, conversations lacking rhythm, communication over text feeling incohesive, etc.
🪐༘ Venus in the 2H synastry: Venus loves giving compliments to the 2H person; making 2H feel good about themselves makes Venus feel good in return.
🪐༘ Moon in 1H/Moon-asc synastry: Moon is often very attached to the way the asc person looks and can be sensitive to changes in their appearance - this synastry reminds me of when a baby starts crying after their dad shaves his beard or gets a new haircut LOL
🪐༘ Composite Libra Mars: Conflict often feels extremely uncomfortable here.
🪐༘ Planets in the Composite 12H can point to themes that the two are shy about expressing with one another:
Venus - love, affection
Sun - personality, authenticity
Moon - emotions, vulnerability, earnestness
Mercury - communication, unfiltered thoughts + ideas
🪐༘ Mars in the 4H synastry: Mars can feel a lot of anger toward the house person's family on their behalf, sometimes really resenting them. This is like when you tell a friend about your parent treating you poorly and they get 10x more worked up about it than you.
🪐༘ We might be able to see how others feel about our relationship with someone by looking at how their planets interact with the composite chart. Their Venus can tell us what they like or possibly envy about the relationship, their Mars can tell us what might anger them about it, Pluto may be able to show where they feel jealous or try to assert their power, Mercury can show where they're most curious about the relationship or what aspect of it they may discuss with others, etc.
🪐༘ Both Jupiter and Neptune can often grant a lot of forgiveness in synastry, but in slightly different ways:
With Neptune, there tends to be a presumption of innocence about the other person - it's easy to forgive them because we have a difficult time believing they could ever intentionally cause harm. There's often a lot of tolerance here.
With Jupiter, we're more likely to recognize this person's flaws than we are with Neptune - we don't view them through the same rose-colored glasses. However, we still tend to be very forgiving of them because we have faith in their overall character and ability to grow. There's often a lot of good will granted here.
🪐༘ Saturn-Moon synastry: As the Saturn person, we often feel responsible for the Moon person's safety and emotional well being - there's a strong sense of obligation here. I find that even if we don't particularly like this person, we can't help but feel somewhat protective over them.
That's all, thanks for reading!

Did anyone else.. not like the ending
Like, it felt hollow, and kinda shit
It felt like fortiche's vision was blurred and they didn't know what to do with the constrictions of it having to since up to LOL, it was just, kinda shit
There were good moments but Mel's magic was really hollow and her exasperated cry whenever she uses it is unearned unweightful power that she acts like is something empowering, and that is the case literally, but there's nothing behind it.
The whole war, felt hollow, no longer about 2 cities and struggle and more about fighting the aliens or whatever
A lot of power structures just get tossed away narratively speaking, in joining the fight for "freedom" a lot of the nuances shown get lost in favour of a shallower story
Also, they try and make Viktor sound smart and philosophical, and it feels like they took the hippie vibes and didn't try to understand when people try and solve their internal problems and understand the world around them. Viktor is not even a little profound, he's just got his head stuck up his ass from getting an arcane power up, he's a mirror of cait or jayce, given mind boggling power or ability but no idea how to handle it with responsibility
Maximum fumbling occurred with Viktor with all his philosophical points, Viktor is not good at understanding the mind, he claims to have more knowledge that he does cause he is blinded by his overwhelmedness from the arcane, he claims emotions are bad but he can't see it's cause of his emotional response, because he lost his awareness he justified all his actions with his hurt feelings. If he's truly evolved to his finest level why does he hold no common sense, why does he attach to Jayce specifically, if he's truly evolved surely he'd just be able to crank it on his cognitive abilities and figure out his idea was stupid and hollow, he's just being like Jayce accept more reckless, but it doesn't feel like they frame it as that, and well, the ending felt unsatisfying, unwholesome in it's composition, lots of empty pieces not in a 'find out more next series' way and more of a 'that's it? Seriously' way
So yeah, that's my 2 cents
Also, wars, realistic wars are steeped in politics, properly steeped, the ending bit just felt like it divorced from all that to be a reskin of an alien movie

Honestly, fully agree. I just rewatched the main PotC trilogy and then On Stranger Tides, and there really is such a drop in quality. The original trilogy is wonderful. Its cinematography alone is excellent, and oh, that music.
- Each of the films has a beautifully gothic, atmospheric opening. Lingering shots on details like the teacups full of rain, on the expression on the boy's face as he looks up at the noose. Honestly the beginning of At World's End, with the chilling double whammy of child execution and That Song, is in my opinion one of the best openings out there.
- Just. Gorgeous lighting and composition, by and large.
- Like Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean has a lot of night combat scenes that are well lit. You can actually see what's going on.
- The combat is so well choreographed. I often find combat scenes boring after a few watches unless they're really well done, and the combat in these films is always so fun to watch. Elizabeth and Will's wedding is top-tier, but most of the combat is excellent. It got a lot more chaotic and boring in Stranger Tides.
- The chemistry. One of the reasons the other films suffer is that Jack is less compelling as a standalone protagonist - they keep giving us these young lover couples to root for, as a clear stand-in for Will and Elizabeth, but it misses the point. The trilogy worked because of the main trio: Jack, Will and Elizabeth. They all bounced off each other so well. Will and Elizabeth were more than just dewy-eyed lovers, like Philip and Syrena. They were complex characters with arcs of their own, and a complicated relationship with Jack that clearly went both ways.
Barbossa is also great but the magic was in the main trio. The films are less interesting and compelling when it's just Jack, Barbossa, Gibbs and a bunch of new characters.
- Minor details, like the excessive amount of sugar we see Cutler Beckett consuming and serving. Given the cost of sugar at the time - and no, I am not talking about money - it tells us a lot about his character and what he represents.
- That fucking music. Hans Zimmer, you genius. Those swelling themes are magical.
That said, it is frustrating how Elizabeth is constantly under threat of SA. In the first film it was to establish the pirates as an actual threat so we'd root for the good guys, but like. In that whole silly Singapore sequence there was no reason for the leering dude to make her remove more of her clothes and walk around like that. It could have been skipped.
(Also as an actual Singaporean I trust I do not need to say how much I hate that whole part, lmao. For one thing, the time period is most likely before the British showed up in Singapore in 1819. Before that we were a Malay kingdom and, at this point, subject to the Johor sultanate. Not a Chinese pirate city. We weren't even called Singapore yet; we were still Singapura.)
Just in general, those films definitely have a racism problem. 😫
Comments on Pirates of the Caribbean
So, I rewatch the first one after years bc I was sick by the Johnny Depp bullshit and through his presence would ruin the movie for me, thankfully, it didn't.
- Why don't they make blockbusters like this anymore? The scale of the production, everything feels so real, so damn good. They only used CGI when they needed it.
-Now I noticed that Elizabeth, Will and Jack have "friendship" matching scars, as all the three of them have a long cut on the palm of their hand.
-When Barbossa is about to cut Elizabeth, thinking her blood is the one they needed, instead of cutting her throat (something that was expected of him) he just cut her hand and when even Elizabeth looked confused at him, he says "waste not"
At first I thought that he was being nice, like there's no need to kill her, and this being a Disney movie really makes me think that. But now I get it, he wasn't being nice, he was being a nightmare as he only didn't kill her bc he was planning on SA her as soon as the curse was off. That's dark.
And it's weirdly nice to see how their relationship goes from this nightmare, to Barbossa not only actually respecting and acknowledge Elizabeth as one of them, but also with Elizabeth asking him to marry her with Will. It's like they became buddies at the end, almost lol
-People often praise only Johnny Depp for the success of the trilogy, and yes, he was good I got to admit but he wasn't the sole reason of the movies success. The proof of that is that after Worlds End, the movies went down in quality and will not pretend that the writing and production didn't go down either but the thing is that the characters also were not near as charming, charismatic and just as good as Elizabeth, Will, Barbossa, Davy Jones the crew guys...Jack Sparrow is good but he needs good company to truly shine. And the chemistry they all had towards each other plays a big part in the trilogy success. Jack Sparrow is amazing, but only when he isn't the protagonist.
Edit 1: I've saw the second and third ones again today and damn Hans Zimmer was inspired, the Davy Jones theme is the Best villain theme song (sorry Darth Vader)
At world's end, who also is the Will and Elizabeth theme(with some minor changes) is so good. It's not only good, it's a masterpiece. One of my fav original movie songs ever.
-Elizabeth arc is so well done. From damsel in distress, to pirate, to pirate queen. And it was natural, didn't feel forced at all. Even when she was damsel in distress, she wasn't helpless. In the first movie, after the ship battle, she launched herself at Barbossa , to punch in bc she thought Will was gone. She was always fierce.
And now in the second and third movie when she already knew how to fight...she became a menace.
-And Elizabeth lost her dad, her friend and the love of her life in like, just a few days. Damn. And all of the men she kissed, died lol. Jack, Norrington, Sao Feng and Will, and they all die right after kissing her. I bet she has some sort of "black widow" reputation among the sailors
-Jack really cared for both Elizabeth and Will, and we can see it in the scene when he told Elizabeth that her father was gone and when Davy Jones killed Will. And it makes sense cuz Jack was important in their journey from day one, and he saw their growth from naive young adults to pirates.
-Without a doubt, one of the best trilogies we have.

She finds a pen somewhere on the piano and begins transcribing Furina's hums, eyes occasionally shifting upward to the starless sky. Robin had anticipated another surrender of another heart, but this turn of events was something she'd happily accept. A small smile begins to stretch across her face. "It's a great start. I do like what Mr. Kaveh mentioned about the stars—if we arpeggiate the notes it could sound like soft twinkling... perhaps it could comfort her."
The composition is finished after a few more moments, and Robin gently slides the sheets onto the piano's music shelf. The girl startles at this, looking around for who might have given it to her. Then, she sets her fingers down onto the piano and begins plucking away at the keys. Her technique is solid—each measure is played with precision, though it's just that. Precise, technical. There is none of the emotional nuance of the composition. When the performance finishes, the girl is quiet for a moment before speaking up:
“Is someone there? Did you write this? It’s very good, I… hope I played it well for you.”
Robin doesn't know if this girl will hear her but she speaks anyway. "We did. We wrote it just for you. You played wonderfully, but... there's a lot of tension in your fingers"
The girl evidently does not hear her, as the girls before her were unable to hear.
Furina speaks up. "It appears we cannot cure her of her affliction. Her playing..." she shakes her head. "There's none of the emotion we were hoping for in this piece."
Of course two seasoned performers would take notice. Robin frowns. "Indeed. Maybe Alor was right. Perhaps there's nothing else we can do aside from offer our heart."
But she still wants to try. At least the girl seems to be able to read what they write. So she picks up the pen and quickly writes on the music sheet: 'Good technique. But can you try playing this piece while looking back on a memory you have? It can be sad or happy.'
The girl blinks at the writing that appears. “A memory… ” she repeats, before closing her eyes and playing a few measures. After a while, she stops, shaking her head. “If i distract myself with a memory, I miss notes… my teacher always tells me that the notes are more important than what they mean. ”
Robin writes again: 'Perfection isn't everything. A song is always meant to carry the emotions of whoever is performing it. Please, try letting go of that notion, even for a few measures, and see what difference that makes.'
Beside her, she hears Furina comment. "Goodness, well that's the heart of the problem then."
Robin looks at Furina with a sad but agreeing nod. "Some teachers are no good at all…" she looks back at the sheet music, "Ah, is there anything else we can tell her?"
"Tell her that her teacher isn't here anyway." Furina says, "Who's it going to hurt?"
Robin smiles slightly at this. She's right: who's it going to hurt? "That's a good point." Then she writes another line in the sheet music. 'Your teacher isn't here right now. It wouldn't hurt to try, would it?'
The girl is hesitant at first. "But…” eventually, she plays once more. The feeling is more apparent, though not in the explosive, raw, visceral way that it usually is. This seemed more like a whisper of that emotion, the effort to reach for the stars as opposed to the stars itself. Still, Robin finds it to be a good improvement.
The girl stops after a few more measures, face tight and doubtful. "Was that… did I..?"
"Just like that," she hears Furina say. "Technique can be learned, but feeling can't. And that's what separates art from mere replicative craft. Any meka can plunk out notes on a piano. but only a feeling heart can play."
Robin claps her hands together, smiling. "You've put it aptly, Miss Furina. This is the beauty of art... It's human." she says, before remembering again that they can't be heard. She writes: 'That was much better. How did that make you feel?'
The girls shakes her head slightly, "Like nobody would wish to hear it, if I did play that way more often. The mistakes, they… they’re all I hear. ”
The songstress feels something tug in her chest. She recalls feeling similar when she was younger, when her teachers were harsh and she had little skill. It was only through the encouragement of her brother that she was able to rise to the stage. A moon is only ever the reflection of whatever light the sun gives it. So she writes:  'I loved hearing it. So did my companions. Sometimes the mistakes are what make a song beautiful. Maybe you don't believe me now, but you'll realize this is true eventually.'
"Maybe…" the girl doesn't sound too convinced. Robin wonders if there's more she can tell her to make her feel otherwise, but it is here that she realized the upsetting truth of the matter: the girl is unable to feel anything at all, and a song is sometimes, most times, never enough to save someone. The songstress' throat feels tight, as though the jagged pieces of lilac-stained glass in her fist had lodged itself in her mouth.
Alor was right.

proper reupload in the high quality this fantastic segment so deserves; eagle pig and duck bias notwithstanding, this will forever be my favorite variant of the fabled switcheroo (and a reminder that Daffy was first at his own game!) the committal on behalf of both characters--especially the sincerity of Daffy's feigned sincerity--really sets it apart
#that delivery of “don't you believe i'm a fish?” sounds so hurt and it's perfect#likewise i think there are few one-liners/toppers that make me laugh as much as 'i told ya i was a pig'#and that all knowing glance at the audience from Daffy doesn't feel obnoxiously smarmy or self aware#there's a friendly nonchalance to it. a very clear amusement and not in a way that undermines anything this segment is setting out to achie#again. my favorite buzzword: that sincerity! a sincere investment and amusement in watching Porky obliviously and endearingly make an ass#out of himself#and of course the cross dissolve and setup of the composition implying a story/sequence of events taking place within that time...#this short isn't my favorite P+D short--i still LOVE IT A TON but there are so many i revere--but i think it's one of the most definitive#if someone was looking to get a good understanding on their character dynamic this would be one of my immediate recommendations#i haven't had the bandwidth to spread my pig and duck gospel but please#watch Porky and Daffy cartoons#tangential but i've always loved the sound effect Treg Brown uses for Porky dropping the gun#good exaggeration/whimsy while also connoting Porky's stubbornness and that this stupid petty argument is enough for him to lose sight of#his motives and discard his murder weapon. all because of this joyously stupid argument. so i like the self awareness there with how obtuse#the sound effects are#because anyone who is not Porky Pig would have just shot him point blank#and that is everything i love about their dynamic and how Daffy's intoxicating charisma and ability to get people invested even affects the#very characters on screen#gee d'you think i ought to have said more about this scene#lt#duck soup to nuts#freleng#vid

I'd like to know why you are all alone while I'm lost at sea /
Maybe we'll be there when you want
#bella#fc!bella#lc ocs#art#this is from reinhardt's (branch-wdk53) pov! you cant escape him in my art. i cant escape him#link leads to stranded lullaby - the lyrics are also from there :3#this is around rein's fears about bella being like ryn but is also about the extraction interaction (still love that name)#honestly every piece of this has. so many meanings like. god#let me just redo all this and go through them one by one lmao#the sea: this one's about them being in the same situation. also their issues (the sea will slowly rise; obscuring and drowning them)#it's also about guilt - it can be a blood ocean! the blood of those they let die...#OOOH I JUST NOTICED THIS: bloodbath! since it's a blood sea :3#the halos: the inner one is halfway just for composition half bc rein sees bella as a good person. the outer (hard to see but) tear-shaped#halo is both a drop in the sea (me when the blood sea! when we've let so many die it no longer matters.) and a noose's opening -#like foos's but metaphorically(? lmao) bella's own suicide by distancing herself from her friends and therefore her help/support system#the black spots: represents rein losing her in a way. he knows what's happening but has no idea how to help. also tied in with his#amnesia/memory loss (totally covered; lost info; yknow). could even be from pain or drowning in the sea! who knows! :3c#...........yeah im normal about these two. you can trust me.#i need to make a bella/ritz piece istg... ive been sleeping on them!!!!!!!!#but. i love these two so much. total of 2 interactions and i made the MOST out of them <3#also since im naming all these now since i gotta save them to post em: this one is called lost
