Missed opportunity to have the 'magical god-killing macguffin' weapon be Andruil's spear. Rather than have an idol somehow become a dagger (not to mention cleansed of the blight and somehow expect us to just accept this - no questions) it could be this?

She made weapons and hunted Gods? The Evanuris, according to this myth, were frightened enough that Mythal had to come battle her?

Also imagine Ghilan'nain being killed by Andruil's spear...raised to Godhood by Andruil's hand and then slain by the weapon forged by her hand???

ok my OTHER reflection:

on the one hand its really frustrating to see the posts about docs and healthcare in general on here be so narrow-minded. bad experiences with certain providers have lead to a huge spread of misinformation and mistrust with the whole system. which can and HAS lead to people avoiding 'evil' doctors for perfectly treatable illnesses and dying from them (the vaccine bullshit, anyone?)

but on the other hand. it is TERRIFYING how some of these docs practice medicine. at times i think 'are you just burned out and don't give a shit or are you straight up just stupid?' and i work in critical care. where quite literally every case is life or death. even in the academic sector where there is supposedly a standard of excellence, some doctors i would not let touch my loved ones with a ten foot pole.

and that sucks. i know this is the no nuance piss on the poor webbed site but 'the medical system and people that work for it are fallible and aspects of it are morally questionable at best/unethical at worst' AND 'the field of medicine exists to help people first and foremost and mistrusting/avoiding it can be detrimental in the long run' can and DO co-exist

Solas never claims to be a god. In fact, he seems disgusted by it. Takes the time to explain that any being having to prove itself a god, isn’t, and that the elven gods were in fact twisted and corrupt mages.

And then people still demand that he be a god and to do things he isn’t capable of. And then act like he’s a villain because he isn’t what he’s never claimed to be? Or wanted to be?

I really do love the little detail in the novel that Lucien is capable of using blood magic to heal. Just...Molly/Kingsley realizing that their magic is more than pain, giving some of his own blood to close the wound of a loved one. Tealeaf believing that the world is inherently "harsh and cruel," just wanting to "fix" things and be a protector--

It’s recently come to my attention that I haven’t said a word about my London & Macbeth trip (that’s a blatant lie, I’ve just been lazy), so here goes: MACBETH WAS EVEN MORE AMAZING THAT I THOUGHT POSSIBLE. In truth I still had my doubts about the headphones but those disappeared probably as soon as the lights went out, the music came on and DT first flashed those magnificent hairy knees at me. There’s so much spit flying past and towards you (shout out to my man not born of woman, Macduff), no wonder the whole company was ill the other week.

I haven’t anything else intelligible to say that hasn’t already been said, but I’ve got a curtain call video to call my own and I’m so happy about that (I fumbled with the phone due to heightened emotions or something so of course I took a photo first).

Annoyingly, there’s a 10-photo limit on these posts? What travesty.

Met up with @theeminentlyimpractical at the infinitely gorgeous Painted Hall in Greenwich, got flirted at by our tour guide at The Globe in front of everyone else, embarrassingly enough (or was it just friendly banter? well, we shall never know now; hey, Tyler, if you’re reading this, Meghan sends her love), so all in all, excellent times were had by all.

Just saying if Harry IS Venom's true host in SM2 then I really hope that they don't have Harry himself become a villain. Because from the little we've seen of him in the first game he seems to be a sweet guy who genuinely cares about the environment and wants to follow in his mom's footsteps. He's so vastly different to Norman with how much he actually cares about making a difference, it's what makes him stand out from most Harry's in Spider-Man adaptations to me.

Also not to mention, we've seen the “sick guy becomes desperate to live and becomes corrupted by whatever helps him and turns into a villain” plot before with Doc Ock so. Surely they can't repeat that, right?

Anyway yeah, if Harry is Venom, I just want him to still be Harry, not twisted and changed into a completely different character with such a big personality switch.

I'm like oh I don't know if I should post pics from last night on Tumblr....fuck it, you guys are my weird little internet friends and it's not like I have put my face up here before.

Last night I went to the Cure show in Houston. Very happy with my outfit. The dress I made from a vintage 1960 pattern and Halloween skull floral fabric.

Our seats were Great, worth all the many, many pennies. This was my 7th Cure show, best seats I've ever had dead center 16th row.

They sounded great, better than last tour, great energy, though the show was a little shorter than their typical marathon length show. (2hr 40 minutes rather than 3+hrs, but we're all getting older)

There's something so damn magical, healing, and spiritual about singing along at the top of your lungs to your favorite band, along with thousands of other people singing along at the top of their lungs. Like so many people around me were there for their favorite band too. The lady next to me was like almost in tears when they started.

Worth every penny and also the fact I feel like I've been beaten with a baseball bat today. I could barely walk out of the arena after how much I danced, despite, yanno my infirmities.

Anyway, if I have a message to send it's spend money on experiences, don't miss out on things you love, life is for living.
