Start of s1: Everyone is super concerned that Fan Xian is drawing the negative attention of the Crown Prince, worried that he’s being dragged into the crosshairs of the dangerous fight between the powerful princes and that it won’t end well for him
Start of s2: Everyone knows that Fan Xian is fighting with the Second Prince, and assumes he’s capable of holding his own; the Crown Prince is his ally; nobody really wants to be within firing distance of any of their combined bullshit
#they started it!#meanwhile the poor courtiers and other ministers are probably like. HOW did this happen.#how did it go from two powerful princes fighting to two powerful princes fighting plus fan xian fucking everyone up on the regular#and ALSO being of royal blood while he’s at it#and as soon as the town burning comes out fan xian is coming for the crown prince. we all know that#so what does he team up with the second prince momentarily again? do THEY team up to take him down?#either way it’s a three way struggle between fan xian and the two princes on terms that are far too close to equal#we’ve come so far and probably nobody is happy about this except the emperor#he’s giving them gold stars for scheming and inviting them to family brunch#joy of life#joy of life 2#joy of life spoilers

Ok but what if striker has a s/o that is the seven deadly sins, gluttony who is curvy maybe both sfw and nsfw? 👀
Oooo- this is an interesting one! Aight bet, firstly though, I will say I’ll mostly base off the Beelzebub lore plus what we know for our reader! Like how most princesses/princes are tall, so Reader is much taller than any other demon they’re still curvy though.
As usual! NSFW under the read more cut!
spoiler warning though for the latest episode, Western Energy!
Striker’s Bee 🐝 | Beelzebub!Reader
Striker never expected to be where he is now, with one of the most powerful demons in Hell. Solely because his hatred towards uppercrust demons, like yourself.
But to him, you managed to prove to him that- there’s an exception to royals on rare occasion.
He still hates royals mostly, even with whatever you say.
But before that, Striker had met you traveling to the Gluttony ring for murderous affairs. Apparently one of his clients wanted a Hellhound dead, one of your home’s bodyguards.
You bore witness to the event on total accident, your first instinct was punish Striker as per usual with events like this.
But you were intrigued, you had heard of an event in the Richest Cup Café where an imp had attempted assassination on a Prince of the Ars Goetia.
Not being a member yourself, you had the freedom to investigate things drama-free.
Striker looked for a way to escape, but your powers prevented him from doing so. The bees of your glutinous hive prevented every nook and cranny escape.
Normally, Striker would fight until his last breathe- but he knew to hold off and wait for an opening instead. He’s may be cantankerous but he’s not idiotic.
He looked up at you, a tall curvy person who was the Prince/Princess/Majesty of Gluttony.
He only listened to you for the sake of getting out of there, until you offered to pay him for information on what’s going on. Because you do love hearing all about drama, who doesn’t? You needed your honey tea after all.
It lead from talking about what happened between Stolas and Stella, to a more normal conversation that lasted longer than you two realized.
You helped him get back to Wrath via conjuring a portal, then waved him off.
You treated him like a person, on equal grounds and didn’t belittle him- it was, strange. Albeit, he’d assume it would be for the sake of business as you did pay him for information.
Which as per usual led to conversations, meaning you two talked and communicated. You’d tried your best to make him feel- equal.
Because he despises being treated as lesser, or like a pet obviously. So don’t pick him up, or belittle him, using names you’d give to a dog he will pitch a fit.
He found himself actually liking you, and usually saying you’re not one of the other royal trash there is.
He’s love language towards you is acts or service, as he internally is ashamed he’s dating a royal. Because of how boastful he was about hating royals.
He probably wants it to be on the DL, not public and that’s good for you.
It’d be a lie to say he didn’t find you attractive, he loves holding your hips (if you shift to a smaller form) sometimes he slides an arm around your waist.
He does it with a smug smile on his face and a slight flick of his tail.
As for in the bedroom, there were complications at first- establishing boundaries were important. As Striker I can see him not liking to be bottomed on often, since he dislikes being out of control.
But he will have some moments where he is,but very few.
He’s always preferred being a dominant, which may seem awkward sometimes however with the height difference.
Y’all find work arounds, even if you have to shift to a lower height to make it less so.
He loves your body, he absolutely does- he loves kissing down your thighs
He likes fucking you rough to see your ass jiggle, it’s pleasing to him.
When you top him, he’s either a power bottom or a brat.
He refuses to get pegged by you, nah, not a day in hell. He’ll let you ride his face and hold your thighs on him.
If he’s gonna die to a royal, it gotta be this way he refuses any other way.

Hey friend, I want to ask you some things about Constantine, I'm planning on making a FanFic about his way from Kid to Prince (Before he re encounters with Charlie).
1. How was his training? Was he trained by Lucifer? Or by Satan?, or by every single Deadly Sin?
2. Why did he lose his Humanity so much? Are there any specific or lots of events that relate to that?
3. When and which enemies he destroyed? If you don’t have it specified don’t worry, this is because after all nobody who fought him lived to tell it.
4. (This one is optional), Would you like to have something important on it? Something you would enjoy? Be honest, after all Constantine is your character.
First of all, I am very glad to hear that you want to write a fafic about him! And of course I will be happy to answer your questions!
1.
In terms of knowledge, he was usually educated by the leading sages of Hell (he had a different teacher for each subject, so he had a well-rounded education) and Lucifer taught him what he knew as much as he could (how to use his powers, how to be a king), while Lilith taught him how to behave in politics, ) Satan was the one who taught Constantine's perception of power in general, Constantine was a person who thought that power came only from knowledge, Satan taught him that power was only power, showed him that he could not survive with only knowledge and taught him that fear was stronger than love and respect.
He also learnt from Leviathan about education and science. He was not very close to the other sins in terms of education. When Constantine went to visit his aunt, it was one of the rare times when he was a child and not a prince, Bee tried to make Constantine happy, not to educate him.
2.
In general, the way he was raised and the training he received did this to him. Lilith and Lucifer had no evil intentions, they wanted their sons to be safe and strong, but they realised a little late that they were destroying the humanity in Constantine with their actions, and when they realised, they were at a point where they could no longer go back, but on the bright side, they did not follow the same thing with Charlie. Plus Constantine was already born with a superior intelligence, which made him less empathetic as he grew up, which came with the responsibilities of being a prince, so he had to grow up early because he had too much on him as a child. And even a normal prince would have to harden himself and control his emotions and act rationalistically in order to rule. Constantine was the prince of hell, surrounded by monsters and nobles waiting to see a weakness in him, and if he wanted to defeat the monsters, he had to become one of them. And Constantine did this, he hardened himself until his weakness or emotions were minimised.
The only person that constantine behaves with his sincere personality is his sister Charlie, I can even say that the face that constantine shows to Charlie is so different that Charlie almost does not recognise her brother at the royal meetings. (In the very later parts of the series, they start to develop a relationship with Serenity like Sherlock and Watson. but this is a very slow developing friendship)
and btw I was inspired to write Constantine by these two books maybe it helps to understand him!
3.Sometimes some demons decide to cross the line and Constantine can execute them. There is no one specific one at the moment, only Lucifer or Charlie can defeat Constantine, no one else in Hell is crazy enough to try to fight him. At least not yet.
4.Thank you for asking but no I've got nothing to add at the moment., and Constantine is my character, yes. but this is your fanfic, you can do whatever you want as long as you keep his personality, have fun! And when you're done writing and publish it on ao3 please tag me on tw and I look forward to reading it!

So I wanted to bring up 7’s movie concept
First off, instead of Amitie and Ringo traveling the world, it’s the Suzuran ARS trio with Amitie tagging along
Second, Carbuncle’s battle is replaced with a battle against Ragnus because he’s cool and deserves to be a main stay
But what I really wanna bring up are the two Dark Arle battles
The first is the final of the 7 needed Puyo Battles
It’s against all 5 Primp students. Dark Arle eggs them on, bringing up moments from the past and going far but Ecolo isn’t trying to kill them
The second fight against Dark Prince, Rulue, Schezo and Ragnus is a different story. This isn’t a Puyo battle, but an actual fight. And Ecolo is aiming to kill. His comments about the traumatic moments he’s witnessed cut deeper. At one point, he almost kills Dark Prince, but Arle is able to resist just long enough for Rulue to get in the way, causing her to take most of the damage and knocking them both out.
Ecolo takes out Ragnus too, leaving just Schezo, in a battle paralleling the final battle of the Madou 2 movie. Eventually, Dark Arle has him pinned to the ground is about to finish him off when she resists again, and is able to long enough for Schezo to stab her through the heart, which excorcises Ecolo, and he frantically uses healing spells on her (I’ll tell ya how this calls back to Madou 2 in the reblog)
Ringo witnesses this. The first battle reveals that everyone will forget him, and he’s doing this for fun. And the second, all his comments relate to the character’s relationships with others in ways that cut extremely deep. This clues her into the fact that Ecolo is doing this because when you can’t form any form of relationship, what else can you do but amuse yourself? How can you care about others? She knows he’s not all bad, she can tell with how he acted in the first fight. This leads into the final fight later on
The powers of all of them combined manage to get Ringo and Ecolo to a spot alone, where she points all this out, breaks him by talking, to the point he’s just the core. Then comforts him. She promises to be his friend, even if she forgets, he can remind her. He breaks down and decides to leave
A post credit scene has him show up when Ringo is done with school, she sees him and calls him over, remembering him, and the final shot is her embracing him (the core not the shadowy bits)
That's... actually pretty good.
First, glad how all playable characters + your additions all contribute rather than stay back at Suzuran until the 7th battle's end and then just getting sucked into a space warp.
Second, Arle gets stabbed?! Will she be (mentally) okay?
Third, that seems like a more conclusive and heartfelt ending than the "A Winner Is You" immediate credits roll that 7 did. Plus, the Suzuran ARS Trio can actually give a proper goodbye to the Primp and Madou squads.
Fourth, this means you can add characters cut from or barely used in 7 like Lidelle (she had artwork done, but was cut before release), Witch and Harpy (who both only had cameos).
Fifth, you could give Transformation Mode a sense of purpose with some new lore (maybe even revive that scrapped magical girl concept).
Sixth, Brian Tyler and Daniel Pemberton's score would probably have Ecolo's theme be as menacing as Miguel O'Hara's theme from Spiderverse 2.

I think there tends to be a perception that any work of fiction more than a few decades old is going to be riddled with cliches as well as full of horrifically outdated societal ideals. And I’m not going to say that’s completely incorrect, but it’s also not the case for many works either, including some of the most famous and formative ones.
For instance, let’s take fantasy.
The film “Willow” came out in 1988. It looks like it’s just going to be a straight Chosen One story. The evil queen is killing all the baby girls in the land looking for the one with the super special birthmark who is destined to defeat her, but the fated baby is smuggled away from her clutches just in time, and is found floating down a riverbank. I thought I was going to watch her grow up, discover her destiny and probably some special powers or swordfighting abilities she beats two-dimensional sexist boys with, and journey to heroically slay the queen in an epic showdown. But nope. She’s not named Willow, and she’s not the protagonist, and none of that happens.
The lead, Willow, is the father of the children who find her. They’re little people, and all played by actual little people. So right off the bat, we’ve got a disabled protagonist played by a disabled actor, and he encounters a lot of prejudice for it outside his village. He’s also unusual in that he’s a married father with kids, not some young attached swashbuckler/prince/pirate/etc. He very much WANTS to be a great sorcerer, but shows no actual magic talent. However, he is good at sleight of hand, such as his “diseappearing pig” trick. . . which ends up being his trump card at the climax with which he tricks the evil queen. But that’s just a distraction; the person who has a super badass magical fight with the evil queen isn’t him OR the baby, it’s an elderly sorceress he meets along the way who has beef with her. So the two absolute powerhouses of the movie who go head to head are two WOMEN, and not sexualized ones either. Granted, it’s hard to get more cliche than “evil sorceress queen” but her throwing down with the old crone was VERY unexpected for me! And the other lead female character is the queen’s badass daughter, a powerful fighter who begins on her side but sides with the heroes by the end.
But it’s not the old lady who defeats the queen either; she defeats herself when she tries to kill the baby, setting up a ritual to do so. When Willow tricks her into thinking he made the baby disappear and she moves towards him, she accidentally completes said ritual, causing it to destroy her as the target instead. At not one point in all of this did that baby ever show ANY magical powers or inclination of a special destiny; none of this would have happened if the queen hadn’t believed in this prophecy, for which there really was no proof, and acted accordingly. . . which is a piece of advice I’ve seen many a writer give for how to do the “Chosen One” trope well. And again, this movie was in 1988, predating all these writing blogs and advice channels. And what’s more, Willow doesn’t get real magic in the nick of time, there’s no Deus Ex Machina, he uses his own cleverness and the stage tricks he WORKED for. I really loved that. Again, it’s like something a modern writing blog would say they would totally love to see happen sometime!
The Last Unicorn film came out in 1982, but the novel was written in 1968. And yet, it averts a great many cliches about fantasy and gender in fantasy. The lead is female, and her motive has nothing to do with men. She has agency and takes action, and is very strong while not needing to make a big deal out of being “not like other girls” to do it (though she is definitely NOT like other girls, as she’s a unicorn in human form!) for this strength. We see her fend off a harpy, fight back against the Red Bull, and it’s mentioned she’s killed dragons before as well. Plus, she comes back in the sequel “Two Hearts” to finish off a griffin. Yet at no point is she an obnoxious edgy girlboss who shits on feminity; she’s in fact very feminine if she’s anything. And she does fall in love with a man, and this does have a big impact on her, but he’s not what her quest is about, and she in fact has to choose to give up being with him to complete that quest, and leaves him entirely at the end.
She also passes the Bechdel test; she talks with the witchy Mommy Fortuna who kidnaps her, trying to persuade her to free another female monster, the aforementioned harpy. And while she talk to her woman friend Molly about her love interest, their most iconic conversation is their first, and very feminist one, in which Molly angrily sobs demanding to know why the unicorn only came to her now, when she is no longer the innocent young maiden that unicorns are SUPPOSED to come to, but instead a haggard middle-aged woman who has been living with the leader of a bunch of bandits in the woods. Definitely not a demure virgin like the mythos say unicorns love. And yet, implicitly, the unicorn does not care.
And, of course, the unicorn saves herself at the end, and all the other unicorns in the world. It never presents itself as a feminist story, and I don’t think it was intended as such, but it sure qualifies in a number of categories.
For the final example, there’s The Lord of the Rings, written in the mid-50s. I actually haven’t read this series. But what I can comment on is something that was pointed out by someone on Tumblr (alas, I cannot remember the URL) that what so many of Tolkien’s imitators get wrong is they think that Aragorn is the protagonist, and make their Aragorn rip-off be so, but that actually the protagonist was Frodo, the literal little guy, the humblest of creatures, with no magic or fighting skills, and that this was the point. And I think that’s really interesting, that the father of modern fantasy and all its cliches, actually averted this cliche; it was only his many copycats that made it one.
These works were not, of course, perfect in other ways. There’s nary a scrap of POC or LGBT rep to be found in them that I know of. But they’re also far from cliche-storms in which every character is a cardboard cutout stock type and which every plot point is easily predicted either.
So, what is my point to this post?
It’s that older works are worth reading, or watching. Especially the genre-defining ones. These are some of the most famous, most far-reaching works of the fantasy genre in modern times, and that’s because they were GOOD. It’s not even about the box-checking aspect either; The Last Unicorn is heart-breakingly beautiful writing with a story and lines that make me more emotional than any other work ever has, book and film. Willow is a jolly good watch. The Lord of the Rings…ok, I’ll level with you, I just couldn’t get into it, that’s why I didn’t read it, but its significance to the fantasy genre is undeniable, and just because it wasn’t for me doesn’t mean it isn’t worth YOU giving it a shot. But so many people are just so sure that anything from before 2000 must be unoriginal, problematic garbage, and that’s reductive as well.
Besides the fact you’re missing out on things you might enjoy, reading within your genre is especially essential if you plan to WRITE in it, in my opinion. Whether this is fantasy, romance, sci-fi, horror, or something else, it is WORTH reading the masters. It is also worth familiarizing yourself with what’s ACTUALLY cliche, and what’s a DEAD UNICORN TROPE—I’ve read waaaay too many people who wrote what they clearly THOUGHT were very clever satires, but the things they were making fun of were never actually that prevalent in the genre to begin with, people just THOUGHT they were (ex: How many stories out there are there REALLY of princesses being rescued by dragons? Actually very few. But everyone lampshades it and references it and so on!) So it’s also worth reading what’s been done before if your plan is to parody, or satire, or deconstruct, or just do something new—that way, what you write will actually BE something new, instead of the eleven millionth author who thinks their protagonist is SO UNIQUE because they are a GIRL who FIGHTS omg!!
A lot of writers, both professional and aspiring, fear consuming work within their own genre, worried that they will be subconsciously influenced by it. They want their work to be wholly original, from their own imagination entirely. While I respect their choice, I also disagree that being inspired from other works is a bad thing. Inspiration doesn’t mean a direct copy. Indeed, I think people should in general stop stressing whether their work is a perfect unique snowflake untouched by any outside influence. All of us are influenced by something or other. And that’s fine. Every great work that you love was influenced by something else, consciously or subconsciously. Can you imagine if Neil Gaiman had decided NOT to write American Gods, and his own depictions of Odin and Loki, because he was a fan of Thor comics as a child (it’s what got him into actual Norse mythology!) and was worried that Jack Kirby’s version of the gods would influence his own? Ridiculous! Heck, I think it’s good to be inspired! To get ideas from other things! You just have to make them your own! And if there’s one thing that humans are goshdarn good at, it’s putting our own new spin on something we heard! That’s been how storytelling has worked since it begun!
And heck, why stop at reading the greats? Read the obscures and the flops! Read the worst shit in the genre! See what NOT to do, and think how you could do it better, and get the grain of a story from that! Get ideas from works in the genre that are forgotten or under-known! Use ideas from these that so many others have slept on, and expand them! For instance, look at the vampires of Paul Feval rather than Stoker or Le Fanu, for instance—if THEY had been the major media influences for Hollywood’s vampires, what would our modern depictions of these creatures be like? Use that as a jumping point for YOUR take on them!
Anyway, that’s all. I’m going to go watch The Dark Crystal now.

Currently thinking of AU’s where Prompto is a Prince of Niflheim. And technically of Lucis. But doesn’t know.
Iedolas’ wife died after giving birth to her son. He never remarried (and arguably, it’s at this most vulnerable point in his life that everything regarding Niflheim takes a downward spiral).
So, obviously there’s going to be sole concern over what would happen if the Only Heir to the throne tragically died or never got married, or had children of his own, etc etc.
(In Dawn of the Future, he had Solara - but I’m pretty sure the Prince was never mentioned in-game?)
And then there’s Besithia. With his cloning tech and research over transporting his consciousness into machinery all Otto Apocalypse style.
Honestly my two thoughts are of Prompto being a clone of Niflheim’s unnamed prince, or literally being said prince’s twin or something being put in a stasis tube [in case of emergencies].
Naturally, this gets spliced with additional DNA of a certain ‘man of no consequence’ in a bid to create a ‘perfect’ heir - one that could even bring Lucis to heel.
Fight fire with fire and all that.
All similarities to Besithia end up because Besithia is somewhat related (close or distantly, who knows) to Iedolas’ late wife. Part of the reason he has Imperial Favor in all his unethical shady experiments.
I have so many plot bunnies about this au.
Maybe the late Empress was related to the Fleuret’s somewhat distantly and this is part of the reason they had a somewhat low level of autonomy (up until the burning’s), so technically he gets Fleuret powers too - and, in a really really really far out and distant way, Prompto is technically the son of Aera and Ardyn.
Or, on the other hand, No Prophecy AU where someone sees Prompto with Noctis on some of the few pieces of news that leave Insomnia - or maybe a spy, who knows? And this makes its way to Niflheim because, hey - we could use this kid against Lucis, he’s a friend to the Prince
And it’s just. Iedolas’ son. Or Ardyn’s, depending on the route you want to take.
There was also the thought of Prompto resembling the late Empress while the imperial suite is there in talks of peace and the emperor sees him, like he looks quite similar to - wait, wait a moment.
I HAVE BRAINROT I CANT PUT INTO WORDS.
This would, of course, make the kidnapping of Baby Prompto from Niflheim a far bigger deal (in very secret, confidential circles) than it seemed to be in canon.
And deal with a fleshing out of Iedolas’ character that we never really got canon-wise, because…by the time of canon, he’s gone nuts. Under the sway of Ardyn and the scourge - because we see just how badly Ardyn can fuck with people’s heads - Etc.
Plus, Ardyn’s character because - how does he see Prompto, provided he did give his DNA to be used (or if, you know, Besithia just took it) in cases of Prompto being a clone using a myriad of dna samples?
Then there’s Regis. The Father.
Prompto is Noctis’ best friend, his brother (or boyfriend, because they do make a very cute couple, I will Fight for that). Who spends a lot of time around Noctis.
This boy is pretty much Regis’ second son already, whether he’s dating Noctis or not, in my head. There’s also Cor, who baby-snatched him.
Imagine the ensuing custody battles.

Darkness in the Distance
Another entry for @throneofglassmicrofics! I wanted to write something with a spooky atmosphere so here ya go! I dont really have a prompt I wrote it for (maybe it could fit into fight or flight/accident/punished??)
Words: 1.096
TW: Blood, Monster, possible Death, Panic
It was storming outside like crazy and it was only Aelin, Fenrys, Elide and Lysandra in the palace. Rowan was gone with Lorcan and Aedion for the afternoon and meant to be back by dinner time but the storm held them back, they would surely come home when the storm had calmed a little. The staff of the castle Aelin had sent home before the storm picked up, so they could be with their families.
Lysandra was sprawled on the green couch, eating grapes as she listened to the stories Fenrys was telling. Some purely fictional, some mixed with older stories from when he was younger.
As Aelin was applying nail polish on Fenrys’s freshly manicured fingernails, Elide stood up, finished braiding Fenrys’s blonde hair. “It's such a shame Yrene couldn't come,” she sighed. Both women had become closer over the years as they looked for ways to fix Elide’s foot. It has been hard work but Aelin saw the hope in Elide’s smile and it had been beautiful, she knew that Elide was looking forward to fix anything that's fixable.
A rage bubbled up in Aelin as she thought about the source of Elide’s injuries and focused even more to not look at her friend as she limped towards the door. She calmed herself down after Elide vanished behind the wooden doors, excusing herself to the bathroom. She loved Elide and this evening was for them all to get together, a girl's night so to speak. Plus Fenrys.
Lysandra huffed a laugh as he explained how the white haired prince saved the princess with a table leg, when the candles flickered in the room. Pausing what she did and putting the nail polish to the floor, Aelin looked around, her hand inching to where she put down her dagger.
“It was probably just the wind,” Fenrys said when he looked at her, reading her thoughts, but he sat straighter himself.
“Maybe there's a window–” Lysandra started when all the candles flickered out all at once. It took them all less than a second to jump up, Aelin grabbing her dagger in record time.
Two glowing eyes watched her from across the room and Aelin’s heart was thundering, before her eyes adjusted to the dark, pretty well because of her heightened senses, and she realized it was the form of a snow leopard. Lysandra.
Fenrys slowly stepped closer to Aelin when a silence spread between them. Not a silence like everyone stopped silence, something even quieter. As if everything in, every living being in the palace, in the whole of Orynth, stopped breathing. The hairs on Aelin’s neck stood.
“Something is wrong.” she whispered.
They all startled when the room was illuminated for a split second as lightning struck outside, followed by the deafening rumbling of thunder.
They waited but nothing happened. No one stormed the room, nothing attacked, no sound–
A scream rattled through the palace. A female scream.
“Elide!” Aelin said, her throat closing at the sound of horror in her scream. She didn't have to say anything as she sprinted out of the room, Lysandra and Fenrys followed her. The door of the nearest bathroom stood wide open. Aelin used her powers to summon fire in her palm, looking around. A stack of fresh towels was in a heap on the floor, the plant the stood beside the sink was thrown over and a crack that wasn't there before showed in the mirror.
Panic washed over Aelin, usually calm and collected, and she screamed, “Elide?” a few seconds of silence. “ELIDE!”
And if she wouldn't have stayed silent, even if one of them had breathed too loud, they wouldn't have heard it. A faint “Help!” in the distance. Elide’s voice.
So far away that she couldn't have made the distance alone in such a short time.
Someone was in the palace.
And Elide’s voice…she was fighting. Her Elide was fighting.
Lysandra sprinted first in the direction of Elide’s voice, Fenrys and Elide right behind her.
Elide would be fine, Aelin told herself. She would be fine. She had survived so much, she had to be fine.
They were running through corridor after corridor, full spedy corner after corner, until Lys took a corner too sharp and crashed into a wall. The whole palace was filled with pure darkness, the only light Aelin’s fire.
A string of curse left her mouth and she helped Lysandra up, scanning her quickly for injuries and Aelin’s heart dropped when she found a big bloody spot on Lysandra’s head.
“That's not her own blood,” Fenrys said behind them, out of breath. And when they looked at him, he pointed at the wall behind them.
Aelin followed that direction, until…
You and your friends are next, Fire-Bringer.
Scribbled in blood.
On her wall.
Aelin stumbled back, right into Fenrys.
“Whose…” she couldn't bring herself to finish that question, because she couldn't bear the answer.
Whose blood is that?
“Elide!” she yelled again, hoping to hear her childhood friend’s voice again, yelling back. Just one sign that she was alive. Only one.
Aelin breathed heavily, blinking the tears in her eyes away. Elide had to be somewhere, somewhere in this palace. Aelin would find her.
“Lysandra,” she turned to the snow leopard, stretching out her palm so the fire could illuminate her. “You need to–”
Aelin stopped abruptly as she didn't find the snow leopard standing beside her. “Lys–”
Aelin stared down the length of the corridor and there, at the end, barely visible, was a white tail, limp, looking like it was dragged away.
Fenrys’s heat left Aelin’s back as they hurried down the hallway. “We need to get them! Should we part ways?” Aelin looked over her shoulder and was so shocked by what she saw, she stumbled.
A huge claw, wholly made out of shadows, grabbed Fenrys as he kicked and swung his sword but without any luck.
Out of instinct, Aelin speared her power toward that shadow. Raging hot flame. It hissed at the impact, but that was it. The spear of fire vanished, as if the darkness absorbed it.
A sob escaped Aelin as she met Fenrys’s eyes, but she couldn't interpret the widening of his eyes as he looked behind her, before someone, or something, pulled something over her head.
She fought, and kicked and tried to scream, to no avail.
Something pressed on her throat and the last thing she heard before the blackness fully enveloped her was Fenrys as he yelled her name, panic flooding his voice.
Then it was all gone.

The sin of greed
Greed
✧˖° ft. Solomon
✧˖° “you cheated on me”
Humans were a greedy bunch, Solomon knew that all too well.
After all he hungered for power and control, knowledge and magic, anything and everything he could get his hands on he wanted. He needed it. He always found himself wanting more, needing more, always diving deep into a new project or spell to satisfy his greed and desires; it was never enough.
And after all he’s lived a long life, he’s met countless people and has had countless relationships. Some good, some bad, some he didn’t even wish to speak about, but he digresses.
After all that time, all that living he believed himself to never be able to settle down with a single person. So he grew accustomed to that lifestyle. Plus a small part of him was scared. Scared of getting hurt by something he truly care about.
Well that was until you came into his life.
A human from the same world, yet possessing no magic at the time just being dropped into the Devildom without warning. He thought your predicament was funny at first but always made sure to help when you needed it the most.
However as you grew and overcame obstacles with each of the brothers, you eventually started growing a name for yourself.
All this he had paid attention to carefully, because you had caught his interest. You were something he wanted to study. You were no ordinary human after all you were special, interesting, quick witted, and beautiful.
All those qualities he grew to like, soon love, as he knew you more. However he neve pursued those feelings because he knew you had the brothers, as well as the prince, the butler, and even the angels. Each clung onto you like a lifeline so he figured one would ask you out eventually and he’d stand no chance.
That’s what he believed.
To his surprise though you enjoyed spending numerous amounts of time with him alone, even going so far as to make excuses in order to just spend time with him. Which in turn thrilled him too.
So to his surprise and delight a confession came. A confession of your love for him. You and him. Not anyone else just you two. You claimed to be in love with him as your face was the color of a tomato, it was quite cute if he was honest.
He laughed at your confession and pulled you into a kiss excitedly, exclaiming how long he’s waited for this day to happen. It felt like he had died and gone to the Celestial Realm.
Solomon had wanted a lot of things in his life, but a partner was never one of them.
That was until you.
You were now his. Through thick and thin.
Not the brothers, not the prince’s or the butlers, not the angels, just his. You claimed your love for him and him alone, and he did the same. Telling you how much he’s longed for you and wished to have you as his.
Your relationship with him was great starting out. He was doting and kind, not to mention he did everything for you, the only thing you insisted on was doing the cooking yourself. After all, you didn’t feel like dying so early into your relationship.
Solomon found himself overjoyed to be able to talk to you about anything and everything, and you listened carefully even helping when he needed it the most.
For example pulling him away from a project he was exhausting himself over, or making sure he didn’t accidentally pick a fight with a lower level demon by accidentally saying the wrong thing; it’s not like he couldn’t defend himself either way you just didn’t want him in any conflict.
You would tell him about yourself, and the more he learned the greedier he became. He wanted to know everything about you, after all he loved you and anything you had to offer.
The way your hand fit in his, the way the brothers would glare when he kissed you good night after walking you home, the intimate moments you had at Purgatory Hall when the angels were out. All of them he adored. It was like heaven for him to experience something like you.
So that’s possibly why it was so hard to have this conversation with you.
He gave everything he was to you. He exploited every single weakness he had, every insecurity and secret.
Yes you did too but soon you grew bored.
You wanted more, something fun, something else, something new. You grew tired of being an experiment, or just an errand person for him. You grew tired of the lonely nights in bed waiting for him to finish up something he claimed to be done with hours ago. You finally had enough of him putting everything before you. And whenever you tried so desperately to talk to him about it he dismissed you or would tune you out.
Humans were greedy.
So you couldn’t help cheating on him with the brothers. Each was so charming in their own way. They were something new and fun. They were something more. They paid attention to you.
Sure you loved the sorcerer but you wanted more than just his so called love, so you chased after others without his knowledge.
Everything was going fine until Asmo let it slip, he couldn’t keep his mouth shut could he?
When Solomon found out he looked at you surprised and then hurt trying to find the words to say but he found himself not able to think of any at all.
Asmo tried to make the blow better but Solomon stomped off before he could continue. You decided to chase after him hoping he wouldn’t be too upset, but in a way you felt slightly relieved. Why was that?
“Sol wait up!” You said turning the corner.
“Mc please, I bare to see you right now”
“But Sol, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to go this far. I’ll stop I promise”
“This far? You’ll stop? Are you telling me that if I never found out you would have continued this? Mc you’re unbelievable”
“Solomon please! I’m so sorry, what can I do to make it up to you.”
“Mc, you cheated on me!”
“I know I did stop saying that, it doesn’t make me feel any better!”
“Oh well excuse me, maybe you shouldn’t have done that in the first place”
This was one conversation he hoped to never have with you. But he too was blinded by his own interests.
“Well it’s not like I had any choice” you responded.
“Just what are you implying now?” He asked, still not being able to face you.
“You act like you were the only one putting in so much effort into this relationship, but in actuality I put in more effort than you did!” you yelled.
“Who stayed up all those times to help you? Who made sure you ate and drank water so you wouldn’t die? Who made sure you didn’t get into any conflicts? Who helped you better evolve your relationship with demons? Who helped you get information you wanted from the brothers? Who ran you errands? You cleaned up after you? I did, all those times, and yes we did share memorable moments but that wasn’t enough, I needed more attention”
“That’s what communication is for Mc! Have you realized that when partners are having issues they talk to one another about them, they don’t instead go around and fuck every guy they live with”
You gave him an offended look and rolled your eyes. “Oh yeah because every time I try to talk to you about something it’s always “one second Mc I’m busy” or “hold on darling” or even “Mc can we talk later I’m in the middle of a project right now”.”
Solomon looked at you and sighed, “I apologize Mc, but you have to understand I’d never do something like this to you.”
You sighed as well and looked up, finally both of your eyes meeting. You knew you were in the wrong, but frankly you were too fed up to think about the consequences “I’m sorry Sol but I wanted something new, and the brothers gave me that.”
Solomon could feel tears prick his eyes and he cursed in response.
He would not cry in front of you.
“You could’ve at least broken up with me before doing that. Then I wouldn’t have taken it so hard”
You nodded and walked over to him. Stopping in front of him you looked him in the eyes and placed one last kiss on his cheek before walking off.
“You won’t even look back huh?” Solomon said quietly as you turned the corner, finally leaving his sight.
He felt hot tears run down his face as you left. He loved you, he wanted more of you, he even pictured a family with you.
But it was wrong of him to want all your time to himself, after all he had so much competition in the first place so this was bound to happen. On top of that you required attention he believed he’d given.
But he found himself upset.
Upset at you, upset at the brothers, but mostly upset at himself and he couldn’t understand why.
He wanted more of you, he needed more of you, you made him feel whole; but you weren’t his anymore.
He wanted something he could no longer have.
Humans were greedy.

It occurs to me that all the fun of an Alice in Wonderland story kind of gets sucked out when your characters can just beat up everyone there instead of being forced to engage with the nonsensical and unfair rules of the setting. Where's the fun in tricking the Queen of Hearts and playing a bizarre game of hedgehog croquet? Just knock her block off.
I might have argued that RWBY backed itself into an inevitable corner by being a combat show - you have to forsake the bizarre rules and trickery of the Ever After for choreographed fights because that's just what RWBY is and what the viewer expects - IF we hadn't been introduced to the Jabberwock first thing. Plus, you know, Neo is there. We have the perfect setup for classic battles via old enemies/fantasy beasts and new, fun, interesting conflicts that require the girls to navigate a situation with skills other than brute strength... but no. I mean, maybe we'll get something moving forward, but the Prince's game isn't very reassuring in that regard.
You know what I was thinking about throughout that part of the episode? The Magicians. Specifically the scene where Quintin plays Push. Basically, he's a magic user playing a game of War, but in this version the whole point is to cheat. The player who's better at putting the right card in their own hand, the wrong card in their opponent's, or generally just fucking with the deck is the winner; a game of skill, power, and creativity. For all the show's many other problems (oh boy did it crash and burn lol) I love that scene and it kept popping into my head as the Prince yelled about humans cheating while, of course, cheating himself. That cheating could have been interesting, especially with a supposed strategist leading the charge, but as you say, instead we just get another beat 'em up fight. (You know, how Yang also wanted to solve her arm problem.)
Which I'm admittedly ambivalent about because we dodged three potential battles in the first two episodes (vines, Jabberwock, guards) and I was absolutely going, "When is RWBY going to give us some combat?" but it's one of those details that make me wonder why we're in the Ever After in the first place. If the show wanted Ruby to grapple with her depression while engaging in straightforward battle sequences, rather than grappling with her depression via the twisty, metaphorical rules of an alternate reality... she could have just done that in Vacuo. Thus far, three episodes in out of ten, all the Ever After has provided is a weather cue for when Ruby is feeling really sad. Otherwise every important character moment is easily removed from our setting. Some opportunistic Vacuo thief could have stolen Yang's arm. Ruby could have found something that reminds her of Penny among the Atlas civilians (which probably would have made more sense). Hell, people can even ask probing, thematically relevant questions like, 'Who are you?' given that they're unwelcome refugees. I'm slightly interested in the trio remaining small for a time, but beyond that everything we've gotten - Ruby is separated from her weapon, Neo's semblance evolves, Yang and Blake are still flirting, etc. - is not a result of the setting, it just happens to be happening in that setting, which begs the question of why we're taking this Ever After detour in the first place.

Taxes, Tax, Taxes- Chapter 9
Fandom: Supergirl
Characters: Kara Danvers, Clark Kent, Samantha Arias, Lena Luthor, Lillian Luthor, Ruby Arias, Oliver Queen, John Stewart, Diana Prince, Bruce Wayne, Barry Allen, J'onn J'onnz, Alfred Pennyworth, Lois Lane, Cat Grant
Summary: What if superheroes had to pay a property damage tax every time they had a fight in the city?
Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6, Chapter 7, Chapter 8
Lena stared at her computer screen baffled. She knew that the commercial she put out would gain attention, especially with the amount of money put towards it. However, she didn’t expect anything like this. She felt Kara and Sam’s eyes on her waiting for her response. They all agreed to gather four days after the commercial was released and go over the report the social media and marketing analysts had about the commercial.
Lena turned to Sam hesitantly and asked, “Are you seeing what I’m seeing?”
Sam let out a low whistle and said, “Yeah, I knew it would be high, but not this high.”
Kara smirked and said, “I remember saying it would go this way. You two need to pay up.”
Lena looked up at Kara. She was all bright-eyed and smiling. She found that Kara’s smile conflicted with that smugness of hers, but she definitely earned it. No one could have predicted this outcome not even the production team behind the commercial. Lena sighed and rolled her eyes. She went into her purse, took out $500, and handed it to Kara.
“A bet is a bet,” muttered Lena.
Sam went into her purse and grabbed a $20 which Lena balked at.
“I thought you betted more,” said Lena shocked and feeling a little bit betrayed.
“Supergirl made a passionate speech at the end about the commercial doing well that it made me waver in my decision,” said Sam as she handed the $20 to Kara.
Kara chuckled and said, “I don’t get why you guys are so surprised. You have a video centered around two powerful women in their own respective fields helping sick children in a hospital. Why wouldn’t the video go viral?” The only way it would have been more successful is if we added cats to it.”
Sam quickly took out her notebook, started jotting down notes, and said, “Actually, that is not a bad idea.”
Lena sighed and said, “Don’t encourage her.”
Sam gave Lena a deadpan stare and said, “We need to milk this publicity for all its worth. Plus, kittens are instantly viral. Why not?”
Lena shook her head. She wasn’t sure about the cat part, but Sam was right. The commercial took off in a bigger way than she had imagined. They originally started with the video to get an idea to see what people’s perception of Lena would be. Her marketing team initially suggested waiting two weeks to see how the video does with viewers. While they felt that Supergirl may be a draw, they were worried that Lena’s name still may be a distraction. They were cautiously optimistic that the video could get 100,000 views. Everyone did except Kara. She thought that they were all crazy for not being extremely excited about the venture and thinking that it wouldn’t spread like wildfire. She estimated that the video would have over 200 million views after two days and insisted that they met sooner to strategize their next moves. Lena initially humored her thoughts and agreed to meet four days after the video’s release to discuss the video’s prospects. But as she sat at the desk looking at the numbers, she wished she didn’t doubt the super as much.
Lena shook her head, turned to Kara, and said, “The video far exceeded your expectations. It is currently at 750 million views after four days.”
Kara smirked and said, “I told you that people would like SuperCorp.”
Lena muttered, “I still can’t believe that word is trending.”
“You have that reporter from Catco to thank about that. She has been promoting you two heavily on the company’s blog the last two days,” mused Sam.
“You mean Kara Danvers?” asked Lena.
“Yeah, that is the one,” said Sam.
“I am kind of surprised that she promoted that so heavily. Didn’t she win a Pulitzer last year for her expose on the drug rings in National City?” asked Lena.
Kara shuffled nervously from side to side and said, “Maybe, she really believes in the work that we are trying to accomplish.”
Lena stared at the super warily. She always had a confident demeanor, but now she looks almost timid.
Before Lena could say anything, Sam said, “That may be it, but regardless, we should capitalize on this viral sensation before it runs cold. I already ordered a bunch of team SuperCorp shirts with the first logo that Supergirl designed. Those should be ready in two days.”
“You did what!” exclaimed Lena.
“I know that it is a little excessive, but people are already making their own SuperCorp shirts online and selling them on Red Bubble. Also, don’t be mad, but I also had shirts made with the phrases Hold Me Like That, I Want To Be The Girl With The Red Dress, Hot Kryptonian Coming Through, and Supercorp is Couple Goals.”
Lena started rubbing her head and asked, “I’m afraid to ask, but why those in particular?”
Sam smirked and said, “The most viewed parts of the video were when Supergirl held you close at the beginning of the dance, when Supergirl dipped you at the end of the dance, and when Supergirl came out of the pool wearing her bikini. Those three clips are also trending online with those phrases as well.”
“This video is supposed to be bringing awareness to children and to the facility,” muttered Lena.”
Kara came and patted Lena on the shoulder which caused her to blush. She looked up at the super who looked down at her smiling genuinely.
“Before this video came out, there were only articles and videos on the potential dangers that the hospital could cause to the community. There were tons of conspiracy theories about the hospital being a front to abduct children and experiment on them. Now, the video is swaying people’s perspectives. I have read a ton of articles over the last four days that not only humanized you but made people want to actually visit the hospital and make their own opinions about the place,” said Kara.

Leigh plays Tellius prt 17
Into the desert we go! I was super excited to meet Pelleas, but first, we have to pick up some other puppies.
It's Meg! I actually really like her design. She's an overweight character who is really cute. As far as I remember, her weight is never used as a punch line. Plus her personality isn't just about being clumsy or eating a lot of food, so yay! I know she can be a good unit, so I was hoping that I would roll a good Meg.
I'm sad we never actually get to see this conversation play out in PoR. According to this conversation, Sothe held prejudice against the laguz until meeting Ike. As we all know, Ike does not tolerate anti-laguz sentiment within his army.
That does make me wonder, though. Micaiah, if you knew Sothe held such strong prejudice against the laguz, why didn't you try to educate him? Sothe would have listened to you.
It's the beautiful man and the two puppers! I really love Nailah and Rafiel. The strong wife / fragile husband dynamic never gets old for me. I could take or leave Volug, though. He doesn't seem to add much to the story imo.
Nailah! I just love her design. She looks so cool! And with the eye patch, I think the implication is that that's the eye she uses to turn people to stone? So she has to cover it in order to prevent turning people to stone on accident?
What a completely random and OP power they gave her for seemingly no reason. I'm not complaining, mind you, just bemused.
This line is so funny. I know it was added in the English version, but I actually love its inclusion. I wonder if she genuinely thinks that Sothe has a bit of a crush on Ike. No one would blame him if he did! But either way, what an interesting bit of dialogue. I like to think this is the part of the story where Micaiah starts questioning whether her feelings for Sothe are as pure and platonic as she initially believed.
Micaiah, this is no time to get all preachy. You're literally fighting in a revolution. You need funds for your army. I do honestly love Micaiah but she does annoy me from time to time.
Omg, I love Nailah's sense of humor.
Yay! I barely managed to survive this map, but it's okay, because I have reunited with Jill! Oh, and Tauroneo and Zihark are here, too. I really wish I had managed to get Jill to level 20. I feel like those transfer bonuses would have made this and subsequent chapters a whole lot easier.
Izuka is also back, of course. I do love how blatantly evil he is, and how much everyone else seems to despise him (excluding Prince Pelleas, of course). Even though he's terrible, I do appreciate the humor he brings to part 1 of Radiant Dawn.
And there he is! The supreme limp noodle sadboy! I love how his theme song is called "Sorrowful Prince Pelleas", and how it sounds so damn depressing. He is just so pitiful. I cannot help but adore him.
And behind every wimpy sadboy is a helicopter mom! It's Almedha! Such an interesting character. So overbearing, so smothering... Not that Pelleas minds at this point. He's been without a mother's love for so long that he's starved for validation.
And that's it for now! The revolution is underway, and it's time to add our final (and least helpful) member to the Dawn Brigrade.

Heyo Eri :3
I see you've taken an interest of my NSR fan kiddies aka Burning Constellation and the OFA Rockstars becoming villians aka L.O.V.E. So I've come to ask on what you think the reactions of everyone such as the main NSR Cast, Nueva York, Vandelay, and even the Psychonauts would be when L.O.V.E forms and starts causing havoc everywhere. It's mainly Burning Constellation who starts causing mayhem by launching an attack that destroys the NSR Tower aka Orion doing what her dad Kliff did and drops a satellite on it only this time the satellite hits the Tower and causes a lot of damage, plus they also steal the Grand Qwasa- (I'm sure Kliff would be proud of his daughter LOL-)
Then all the OFA Artists join L.O.V.E after becoming villains themselves so now it's getting out of control to where Titanium has to call in help so she would call in the 4 main groups mentioned. How would they go about to defeat the L.O.V.E villains? Would they try to take them out one by one in order of the OFA Rockstars (Henrick being the first, Rosie second, Prince Astral third, CAL forth, Jodie fifth, and Burning Constellation last?) Or would they lure them into a trap and them battle them all at once?
I apologize for this ask being quite lengthy, I'm really down the rabbit hole of my silly group of villains-
For the NSR characters, it depends on if the tower was empty or not (also I don't know all about your AU, I keep forgetting with my terrible memory, so I don't know who's still alive or still working for NSR at this point in time so I'll keep it vague lol).
If it's empty, like they were able to evacuate in time, the destruction of NSR tower would be devastating but not too bad. If it was full, then L.O.V.E. would be seen as absolute monsters and murderers. They would be hated by a large majority of Vinyl City and probably the NSR cast as well (imagine if Titanium was IN the tower when the satellite hit, we'd need a new leader of Vinyl City then, but since she's the one who calls for help she most likely survives).
Stealing the Grand Qwasa (which sounds so funny to me lol) would be devastating as well since most, if not all, of the power in Vinyl City is now gone. People would die from hospitals not being powered and flooding as machines to keep flooding down are now not being powered at all. Not to mention the whole structure of the city is being thrown all over the place because of the chaos. L.O.V.E. would be despised by the citizens of Vinyl City.
As for the retaliation itself, I don't think NSR would have means of fighting L.O.V.E.. I don't know about your version of NSR, but mine wouldn't have the security to go against a whole villainous organization, which is probably why Titanium tries asking for help.
I doubt Vandelay Tech would do anything. They are just a tech company, not really out there looking to save the world. I'm sure they could offer some security robots, but honestly I doubt they would actually even have any more of those at this point since those types of robots were more Kale's doing and not something Roxanne or Peppermint would have kept going. I can see them sending robots that specialize in care and help to Vinyl City during this time though.
Psychonauts and Nueva York. Those are two organizations that would help Titanium (if they are still around. I definitely think Psychonauts would still be around, but not so sure if Nueva York would have been able to stand the test of time).
With the Psychonauts, they usually only deal with psychic battles, however, they would absolutely be willing to help stop this organization considering they've HAD to have killed some people. I don't know how much of the OG adult cast from Psychonauts would be around (the Psychic 7 are long dead by this point, as are people like Milla and Sasha being very old or dead by this point), I think Raz would be around still, but I don't know if she would still be an active member of the Psychonauts (since she'd be like... idk 50+ at this point, but she could definitely still be kicking ass lol).
Either way, whatever Psychonauts are around would be willing and ready to help try and stop L.O.V.E. at all costs. Using their psychic powers and advanced tech at this point would definitely help them as they track down and get ready to fight L.O.V.E.
Nuvea York is a tricky one. Because, if the Power Revolution worked and stuck true to the core of Nueva York, then that organization wouldn't really be used in this situation. Nueva York at this point is about helping people learn to control their powers, nothing more and nothing less.
Other organizations would have been made to help rehabilitate people using their powers for evil, or to hold people with powers who would have been able to escape captivity after committing a crime, but Nueva York would not be one of them. So whatever other organization is used to help detain and stop people from using their powers purposefully for evil would be called instead (the people of Nueva York would probably not like L.O.V.E. though, considering what they have already done to Vinyl City).
As for HOW L.O.V.E. would be captured, I think the Psychonauts and Power Organization (don't know what else to call it) wouldn't really work together right off the bat. They each have their own methods for dealing and capturing enemies, so they would rather work alone. They'd both also wait until L.O.V.E. commits some kind of crime, maybe try to set up a situation that would attract L.O.V.E., but for the first few tries they would rather try and get L.O.V.E. to commit their own crimes at first and try and stop them at the scene.
I can see it being kinda comical if you want to go that way, where Power Organization and Psychonauts make each other fail a few times and they have a little rivalry going on until something super serious happens and that's when the two groups start to work together and actually coordinate instead of almost actively sabotaging each other.
The order of capture would also depend on how L.O.V.E. operates itself. Do they usually attack in groups or by themselves with only some attacks being group/partner work. If it's single work with sometime having group/partner work, then Psychonauts and PO would do their best to get crimes that are committed by more than one person. But if they only capture one then that's fine as then they can use methods like going into the person's brain (or I guess code for CAL if I remember correctly) to look for the location of L.O.V.E.'s headquarters or base of operations.
If it's group work, then the Psychonauts and PO would do their best to try and capture everyone at once. I can see something going wrong and one person from L.O.V.E. escaping, and now the two organizations have to worry about them breaking out the rest of L.O.V.E. or something.
It could also be that L.O.V.E. ends up never getting caught because of reasons like they are too good at evading capture or are too ruthless that even if they were almost caught, the casualties were too great for their pursuers that they were able to escape each time.
I don't know how serious or dark you want to take this villainous version of characters, but depending on the intensity you could get really dark with it or make it really comical!

Broly movie semi-liveblog because of reasons
I only ever watched the original Broly movie once or twice cus of the suuuper long fight scene ending (and I think it came out, or we borrowed it from Blockbuster, around the time I was losing interest in DBZ)…which is great cus watching it now after the reboot movie has me going in almost totally fresh
Krillin’s puppy song (and how he just pauses then keeps singing after the ship lands X’D so you just hear him wailing in the background during Paragus’ big speech)
Paragus: I’m starting a new planet and I want you to be king Vegeta: :/ Paragus: Uhh…there’s also this big strong bad guy and only YOU can stop him! Vegeta: :/ Trunks: Dad, don’t go with him Vegeta: DON’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO! *goes out of spite*
Vegeta gets to the planet, gets his ear talked off by Paragus, sees Paragus’ whole army, doesn’t react to anything, but takes one look at the big buff shirtless dude covered in jewelry and decides “I want to be alone with that guy for a while” (Trunks: “DAD NO” Vegeta: “DON’T KINKSHAME ME”)
Son “cat trying to convince you it didn’t just eat five minutes ago” Goku
“Golly, who could the Legendary Super Saiyan be?” *shows a whole flashback of Broly being the Legendary Super Saiyan and names the movie “Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan”*
Still gets me that the fan-favorite His Power Is Maximum villain’s weakness is that he flips out at the sight of the guy who cried in the crib next to him when they were babies
I’d still fight Master Roshi if I could risk getting within ten feet of him but thanks man for deflating the tension every time it gets serious here. And more importantly, giving my boy Oolong an actual reason to be here (designated driver). Which kinky freak on staff came up with that sequence of the two of them in bed together though?? XD
Realizing I haven’t seen the old DBZ movies since before my dad got his giant TV, and watching this thing in HD on a huge screen with surround sound blasting the doofy 2000s grunge rock songs shoehorned into the soundtrack just feels so wrong X’D
With Paragus’ whole thing being about trapping Vegeta on this planet so a comet can smush him, how much funnier would it have been if Goku had just shown up and immediately IT’d everyone back to Earth
This version of Broly is SO annoying, OMFG. Hulked-out glowing guy cackling about how he was gonna kill a child, “What do you expect from a true freak?! Wahaha~” Like 100% one of those guys who saw The Dark Knight and went “the Joker’s so dark and edgy, I wanna be just like him” Shut up already
Actually Broly’s fixation on hurting Gohan to upset Goku plus the Trunks-Vegeta dynamic could’ve made for an interesting subplot about father-son relationships, but nope I guess. Gohan and Trunks aren’t even in the reboot movie where they really dig into Paragus’ abuse of Broly (just a brief scene of Goten and Trunks calling Bulma for two seconds to tell her plot stuff)
Piccolo dragging Vegeta to the battle by his hair
I also actually love sad scared Vegeta because it makes him so much more interesting. Goku’s an excitable child whose relationship with martial arts is basically like a good work ethic, so he hears about someone stronger than him and gets all excited cus he wants to test his strength by fighting them. Vegeta’s an arrogant jerk generally used to getting his own way, so he hears about someone stronger than him and his first instinct is to go “pff, no way,” then when it’s clear the person IS much stronger he just shuts down. Probably a remnant of being terrorized and probably physically beaten by Frieza or his minions as a kid, cus you KNOW he wasn’t gonna just start taking orders from some guy who isn’t even his king dad
The classic DBZ squeaky foot noise when Broly walks...bless
“I’m the prince of all Saiyans, even you, Broly” “Then please try your best to make me kneel before you” Get a ROOM
“Did he really think I would die just because this planet is about to explode?”
*gives you my power, but in a tsundere way*
I’d been wanting to watch the first bunch of movies for a while since they use clips from em in the Ocean dub opening, but wound up with the 2nd movie set cus I found a good deal and the Broly reboot made me curious to revisit the original…now I’m torn between going on to Return Of Cooler & Super Android 13 my dumb funny beloveds, or going back to the 1st movie set and working my way up to truly Earn them XD

*awkwardly walks on in, downs coffee thermos down in one go like a shot, leaves note, salutes, passes out for three days* Ello ello, hopefully existence is treating you well and you're having a nice (insert time of day here)!
Honestly thank you very much for listening to me ramble about Lora and Fia/Seraph, I think about those two waaaaay too much, too many theories in the brain xD, and yeah decided to try this off anon thing, let's see how it goes, thank you for your patience!
Corrupted Player with unsettling Ben Drowned situation singing the Song of Healing in reverse my beloved-
I have a vague outline shambling around in the vague approximation of a story if that helps? It came to me in a bout of insomniac frenzy, basically it involves Player getting Isekaied yet again to Lora's Hyrule, meeting Candance and then Lora, an impromptu duet with dance involved (going back and forth between Farewell Wanderlust, The Calling and The Horror and The Wild by The Amazing Devil, one because the songs are amazing, two because I feel Lora's voice and the male singer's fit, and three because I think Player deserves a chance to go absolutely off about their frustrations in musical form if it's very far in during Player's Aid as a treat) because Lora realizes they don't know how to fight there and the quickest way is to basically throw fuel in the dramatic theater kid fire and impromptu duet-fight with them, plus he'll probably have a blast having a singing and dance partner for once so it's a win-win, shenanigans ensue as impromptu Disney Prince mode activates, and then either Candance comes back in with Operetta and start teasing him like "Hylia darn it Lora again?" While it finally hits him what he just did, poor boy is probably very flustered and apologetic the whole time (though it's funny if Player is just like "New favorite Hyrule, can we do it again?", Because that was a main character moment and they could do with some Theather person shenanigans and hijinks, plus they actually fight well here! Rhythm games served them well!) While Operetta/Zelda and Candance start to figuring out their situation, or, for comedic shenanigans, The Chain eventually gets Isekaied there (because let's be honest the mission the Chain is on is basically a mix of Isekai and Time Travel Shenanigans with many extra steps to places they know Dink basically just threw them into the most convoluted road trip ever), accompany Candance and Lora's Zelda back, and basically walks in on the duet and more shenanigans ensue honestly I haven't gotten that far yet insomnia did most of the job, I can either tag you or send it here once it's done, choice is yours *shrugs*. Also, he can likely hear the background music, and if Player can as well shenanigans ensue, I will not elaborate today because Tumblr has this little thing called character limit and I don't want to bother you much with my insane rambles xD.
Some things on Seraph/Fia because why not? It's basically the condensed version:
I absolutely agree that they erased his character, but they also did so to the other champions and Una because he probably tried to aid his Ganon so he wouldn’t be corrupted along with Una, but failed and that brought forth the Calamity and it’s Malice as an unwitting catalyst to it, because you can’t tell me that this man wouldn’t have seen his shield brother slowly being driven insane and would not try and do something about it. My main theory is that him and Una tried to separate Ganon from Demise’s curse, maybe like how Dusk gave up part of her powers to help Midna way back when, but it instead trigged the curse like some sort of freaky kill switch, and when he died it wouldn’t give up during his initial defeat, so instead it corrupted and reanimated his body into what we see now in TOTK, which led to Seraph/Fia and the Zonai likely sacrificing themselves to hold it back after they finally got it and the body pinned down and cornered and Una coming in to finish the job for now (Could be how the Luminous Stones came to be, lots of people think it’s what remains of the Zonai’s souls or magic), there’s evidence Malice has existed for as long as Sky’s Era in Zelda (likely a remnant of Demise’s power from his initial rise to the surface, it’s likely that dark water in the Ancient Cisterns basement that does damage to you like how Malice does, you can also find cursed enemies there and which other era has the highest amount of Malice in the air and a lot of cursed, reanimated enemies? Wild’s.), And it clearly corrupts, reanimates enemies, learns and evolves, it’s very likely that the Blights we fight in BOTW is just the Malice corrupting Sheikah tech due to how animalistic they, Guardians and it’s fellows Calamity Ganon (Boss) and the Divine Beasts act in game (heck the only reason the Beasts likely weren’t as aggressive as they could have been was because the Champions were doing what Flora was and holding it back). But it wouldn’t have had reason to react like that unless something was really wrong with it’s vessel like say, Ganon acting off the usual script, since most of the time Ganon just seems to get more and more mindless as time goes on from Demise’s curse (as we see in Legend’s and Hyrule’s branch and the beast forms in Time and Twilight’s), it wouldn’t have had reason to give up on reincarnation unless something was seriously off. It was Demise’s kill switch, a way of ensuring Hyrule, Hylia’s Reincarnation and the Spirit of the Hero would suffer in case his physical reincarnation couldn’t or wouldn’t do it.
Honestly these videos probably explains it much better:
https://youtu.be/oJwllSGUWvY
https://youtu.be/YUaKoAFs1H8
https://youtu.be/aXPny2cjOLY
I kind of feel like that would make him and Una feel honestly guilty and responsible for it, guilt for failing to help a friend, responsible for the Calamity and honestly seeing what Wild and Calamity went through later (because honestly Calamity’s timeline can only really exist because Wild didn’t succeed at first) would probably feel like a Lynel’s kick in the gut. To probably match the sucker punch Wild and Calamity would give him because “WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT WASN’T EVEN THE ACTUAL ORIGINAL GOODS?!”
... Now I kind of want to see them react to this possible theory, just out of morbid curiosity. I feel like the possibility would hit both of them like a truck.
Also probably would have custody battles with Twilight over Wild and Calamity, I will probably elaborate it on another ask plus the possible mythology connections. And the fact Wild's arm got corrupted in the TOTK trailer gave me the awful possibility that Seraph/Fia's situation is a Pure Vessel one.
And that’s that for today, writing this while having a pounding headache and in need of a nap so I’ll finish this up for now. Been having kind of having some awful few weeks lately so I hope you’re doing good and thank you for putting up with all my crazy ramblings and headcanons!
-A Very Awkward Summertime Musician
Hi again Summer!
First off I would fucking love to read the fic if you write it! You can tag me in it if you eventually write it out!
Second, the idea of Seraph/Fia using Wild as a vessel is incredibly disturbing and I am indeed loving the opportunities that come with it! 👍🏼

Why Mako Mori and Raleigh Becket should spend some time apart
If we assume the basic expectations of most romance stories, Raleigh Becket and Mako Mori's relationship seems like a done deal. Even if no explicit romance occurs between the two, the structure of the narrative is still close enough to many romance stories that "and they lived happily ever after" feels like a foregone conclusion. The film ended with their foreheads touching rather than lips locked together in a kiss, but the gesture is nonetheless suggestive of blossoming love and future romance.
But just as fictional romances often downplay or ignore things that would be extremely concerning in the context of an actual relationship, so will we if we choose to read Mako and Raleigh's story through this lens.
I have written before how Raleigh Becket exhibits poorly-managed anger issues throughout the film, and how he doesn't exactly behave gracefully when told no. For the duration of the film, this isn't really a problem for Mako, because her and Raleigh's goals are in alignment - both want to fight kaiju. But once the war is over and there are no kaiju to fight, and the honeymoon period (so to speak) ends, what then? They will eventually run into disagreement, and Mako cannot be expected to subject herself to Raleigh's will every time.
Fact of the matter is, Raleigh needs therapy. He needs to learn better emotional coping strategies. This isn't optional if he's going to maintain any kind of long-term relationship with anyone romantic or otherwise. He also needs to work on taking 'no' for an answer, or else he won't be able to respect people's boundaries - Mako's included.
Meanwhile, Mako deserves a chance to realize herself as an autonomous, independent adult who freely chooses who she works with. Unlike Raleigh, Mako never had any real choice in her drifting partner; she either rode with him or she didn't ride at all.
In romantic fiction, young and naive female characters are often romantically paired with older and more experienced male characters whose only noteworthy quality is that they can provide them with access to something else they want. This can be something like the glamorous life of the obscenely wealthy, the thrilling world of the supernatural, or the power and influence of the ruling class.
Raleigh's only notable quality is being able to provide Mako with access to a jaeger. Otherwise, he is less than ideal. There are the aforementioned issues with anger and reacting poorly when told no. There's also the way he talks to Mako as if she's a child, such as when he assumes that she, a jaeger engineer who wants nothing more than to be a jaeger pilot, doesn't know how drifting works. While this might not bother her in the short term, one can only imagine how irritating and even demoralizing it could become in the long term.
This raises the question of why Mako Mori should continue associating with Raleigh Becket once she no longer needs him to provide her with access to the things she wants. Whether she's content to go back to engineering now that she feels that her family is avenged, or whether she wants to continue as a pilot in a revitalized jaeger program, the fact is that she just doesn't need him anymore.
Conventionality tells us that they belong together because they were main characters together. Like Prince Derek in The Swan Princess, it answers the question by asking "What else is there?" If pressed it might say something about "soulmates" and point to all the things Raleigh supposedly did for Mako, even though those things were just as much for himself. Raleigh Becket has often been described as "chivalrous," yet our concept of chivalry is steeped in so-called benevolent sexism that ultimately harms women even if it seems attractive at first.
So, Raleigh Becket and Mako Mori would both benefit from spending time apart from each other. Raleigh desperately needs therapy for his anger issues, plus he needs to learn better interpersonal skills with women (and with people in general, to be honest). Mako deserves a chance to realize herself as a truly autonomous adult person, rather than simply get passed off from one paternalistic caretaker to another.
Perhaps they work together again after they go through their much-needed growth as people; maybe as co-pilots or maybe in some other capacity. Maybe they get into a relationship; maybe they don't. Or maybe they never speak to each other again, who knows.
But one thing is certain: the conventional path is not the best path here.

The fact that Edward the Black Prince was called Edward IV during his lifetime but never actually got to be king and then the dude who actually DID become Edward IV was also the one who personally agreed to the Treaty of Picquiny without a single battle ... sad hysterical irony lol
(Props to E4 tho, it was a Good choice. And I think the Black Prince and Joan would have probably definitely supported Edward and the Yorkists in the WotR given the fact that the Lancastrians came to power by disposing his son 🤷♀️)
lol 😢
Yeah, being handed gigantic stacks of cash to go away is always definitely preferable to going to battle without your allies.
Honestly, while I don't doubt that the Black Prince and Joan of Kent were on hand to welcome Henry IV to the afterlife with a baseball bat and steel chair, I kinda doubt they'd have much invested in Lancaster vs York. The WOTR began ~70 years after they died (closer to 80 for TBP), and ~50 years after Richard was deposed. Everyone who was intimately involved in Richard II's deposition would be dead.
Plus, it's a lot more complicated than just "Lancaster deposed and murdered their son, therefore they're pro-York"... what do we make of the fact that Richard II appears to have been fond of the 12-year-old Henry V and vice versa? What if Richard viewed Henry as his surrogate son? What do we make of the fact that criticisms of Henry VI echoed criticisms of Richard II? Or of the fact that Edmund of Langley, Duke of York appears to have betrayed Richard II to Henry IV? If Joan and the Prince sided against Henry VI for the sins of the grandfather who was dead long before his birth, why wouldn't they also blame Richard, Duke of York for the sins of his?
Plus, Joan of Kent had direct descendents on both sides, including no less than Richard, Duke of York and thus also the Yorkist kings, Margaret Beaufort and Henry VII, Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick and Henry Holland, Duke of Exeter. How does she feel about her great-great-great grandsons fighting against each other at the Battle of Bosworth? Or her great-great-great-grandson Edward IV ordering the murder of her great-grandson Henry Holland? The Black Prince might have had no known direct descendents in the WOTR, the Yorkists were descended from two brothers, the Lancastrians from one and from his father's great friend, Henry of Grosmont - his closest kinship, however, might well have been his wife's Holland descendents. TBH, the only "Joan of Kent has opinions on the WOTR" thing I can see is her dragging everyone off by the ear to tell them how disappointed she is in them.
#sorry for taking awhile to respond#it's been a Week and i've had a project i needed to get done#asks#anon#text posts#i guess there's the political perspective where tbp's stance on the good parliament may have made him sympathetic#towards richard duke of york's critiques of henry vi's government#but idk enough about ed3's reign or york to judge fairly#i do think the personal dimension where everyone he knows is long-dead would probably overrule his feelings on politics and he'd nope out
