As Killian played the medium, Samantha let out another happy burst of laughter. It was much easier -and more fun- to handle this scary situation with someone as nice as him! Yes, she considered herself very lucky indeed, and even if the other agents were a bit... rough around the edges, at least Killian was a great partner already.

"Yes, yes, it's exactly what I'm saying," she joked, then pointed a finger at him, "YOU, call me Ruby." She furrowed her eyebrows and made a very constipated face, before breaking out in laughter.

Samantha wasn't worried about Killian's professionalism at all. They were just waiting at the airport for now, and a little bit of laughter was hardly a serious offense! "I'm sure that we can! We just have to listen to their advice, and I bet you that we'll learn a lot from them." And hopefully, they'll start acting more like people and less like angry robots.

She beamed happily at him. "I'd love that if we could work together! Two heads are always better than one!" And it would be much less intimidating to team up with him, rather than with scary Chief or angry Ruby.

Killian pressed his fingers to his temple and closed his eyes, "I sense that they're not happy about the situation." He opened his eyes again and smiled at her. It was not really a comfort for him, knowing that the other agents were already miserable about them being there but he hoped that they would learn a lot from them, they had to!

"So you're saying we should mimic them?" While he could play it up and adopt Chief's mannerisms of being a hardass, he decided against it. Samantha might have a point there on getting them to warm up to them. "No, I do agree," he then said seriously, not wanting her to think he wasn't professional despite not having a clue on what to do. "I am sure we can show them that we're worth training up." Another quick glance to where the other agents had gone in case they had actually just left them there, he could make out Ruby's hair at a desk though and relaxed again.

"We can work together too, that way we can help if it's needed." He had no idea what to expect and he did realise he was the youngest there and was likely going to be 'protected' in several senses of the word if he did not show he was capable. At least along side Samantha, they could both manage to do a good job- whatever the job turned out to be.

Guys. GUYS. listen to me- kate carter is a natural brunette. no i’m not just saying that because daisy edgar jones has brown hair naturally, there’s a picture of young kate and her mom that is shown in the scene where she comes back home. I caught it on my second rewatch. I mean ofc you could chalk up her darker roots to it just being a dirty blonde but no, she really is a brunette.

Which brings me to this thought- I wonder what Tyler’s reaction (along with the others ofc) would be when they see Kate with brown hair. Let’s say her blonde dye was growing out enough for her to decide to dye it back. Maybe she does it when she went back to NY for a bit before going back to Oklahoma. Will there be chaos? Definitely.
