#okay so the scenario here is that she’s visiting the coast of Enbarr in Duke Gerth’s territory #I think where she’d usually be in Duchy Gerth wouldn’t be on the coast #it’s hard to tell on the canon map but this coastal area would be like former Nuvelle territory #so Duke Gerth would probably live in a more central location #and Petra really loves the ocean and swimming #so she’d obviously want to go to the coast as often as she could #and the direction is a little off but she’s supposed to be looking south west towards Brigid #but yeah I think it would be very bittersweet for her to visit the coast some days #also she ended up looking older than I planned so maybe this is around the time she goes to Garreg Mach? idk #my art #petra macneary #fe3h #fire emblem three houses #okay actually I think some Gerth territory is on the coast but #I think Duke Gerth is probably in a central location regardless

Day trip to Keelung

#見書店 was a really neat bookstore #taiwan #keelung #基隆 #heping island geopark #i didn't exactly plan to go there but the bus terminal times didn't match up with google maps at all #so by sheer luck i got on some sort of tourist minibus whose end destination was 八斗子 #which I've been to but the geopark is near the zhengbin port houses so i figured I'd get two for one #given the lighthouses & museums are closed Mondays #but i got a bit entranced by the geology and then it got dark #so the port must wait for another day

my third time starting a new minecraft world has been Much more successful than my first two times. on account of how i spawned in an area that kind of had things like iron and sheep and a coastline (I GET LOST VERY EASILY) and I didn’t get immensely frustrated trying to find Anything At All. I did however try to get two sheep near me, realize very quickly that that’s really hard without wheat, break both leads I got, dig a ton of stupid holes trying to get the sheep into it, kill one sheep out of pure choices in anger rage, then realize you can’t make a bed with two different colors of wool after I had already killed the sheep,

It’s my journal now #I’m having all these realizations like im 12 and discovering Minecraft for the first time. because i’ve Never Played This #I found an empty map and now the map is my home and now I can go ANYWHERE and find my way home (!!)#I found a huge cave with diamond and gold and redstone and lapis and died 3 times in it so there are 4 boats parked outside #I found a cat in a village and im going to BEFRIEND the cat because I fished up a nametag (and 36 cod)#I made a nether portal. I’m scared of it but I am in a forest! I think im under a different layer of forest #I now have 3 sheep and many cows and 3 chickens but no shears because they burned to a crisp in the huge cave #when I died. In lava a lot and burnt all my stuff to death #there’s a huuuge river network that I can feel confident navigating because the exit is next to my house #I have one (1) bookshelf and plan to make maaannny more because of my cows and sugarcane abundance #there’s more things to grow than just wheat and sugarcane there is Beet Root #there’s a bunch of treasure chests in these little underwater temples everywhere in the ocean (im afraid of getting lost in the ocean tho)#(but I can explore it with my map!!!)#one of these days when I find a pretty place I’ll build a second house. Mine is a beach house 3 turtles live there #idk #I also got a ton of gold and made gold boots? You’re supposed to do that when you go to the nether? Don’t remember why but I’ll find out #I also found a treasure map but I think the treasure is super far underwater..?#but im also slowly getting to the point where i don’t want to go any further by myself #it’s mostly fields and holes out here… maybe I’ll go across the ocean #I’ve never been an open world survival game girlie I am not a fan of resource games like don’t starve #but I like building. so. Hmmm #I see cherry trees waaaaay up in the hills. Cherry time

When you get so deep into the fic planning that you download a fuck ton of topo map shapefiles from USGS, load them into QGIS and then load in open street map under it so you can painstakingly trace out buildings.

I'm just saying ... I'm putting my college degree to amazing use.

And now I'm going to bed.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

The only photo I took today is of another of Gus's drawings. It's the layout of his future house. He walked me through it. From the statue of himself to the reading and writing room, the whole thing is brilliant. The room with the plant is for me and Mom. Also, I don't know why I never thought to put a death pit or beach in our current house!

I gotta be less hard on myself. Annoyingly i know that my best work comes from when i am hard on myself. But i keep stopping myself from doing things i want to due to perfectionism. Annoying.

#atm i feel like im just chasing interest after interest after interest #ive been working on my mimecraft base a lot but i have. complex feelings about the base atm #im happy with it and its paradise.#its too paradise that it makes me unsettled #which is nonsense its my place and my build #but i feel a lot of pressure to make it perfect #even though I and vee are the only ones who go there and i dont really care about the likes on my posts anymore #it still makes me feel. odd.#i love the work though i love the style and i love using it as a means to imagine a better world #atm im really enjoying just spending time on the server hanging out with vee #but i get into my own head a lot about the base #its not even just the base im talking about everything but the base is the example #i built a bit of a weird interior today i just went crazy with the terracotta and the plants and a pool of water #and i keep thinking on if it was the 'right' thing to do #and if i will be able to complete it properly to a high enough standard #it also doesnt help that ive improved over the course of the last 2 years in building #so now my house looks off and weird and theres trees that need to be taken down and paths that are over textured #but i find the process of doing it and the feeling of completion really deep and important #i dont know. i feel like im constantly in a battle of pushing myself to be better but limiting myself at the same time by having fun or sthn #i feel like i should be making youtube videos or at least prepping to #but i havent because i cant figure out how to organise mods and its freaking me out. theres just loads of excuses stopping me #i dont know.#the annoying thing is pushing myself creatively has resulted in massive benefits for me lately creatively #partly i think why im feeling odd with the base atm is because ive suddenly gone for being barely able to play an hour a night to having all #the time in the world so its created a sudden influx in development #idk. this is rambly #fish talks #i want to download a minec@ft map and remove the suburban housing to replace with higher density properties becsuse ive been watching too #much socialist urban planning videos again and c1t1es skyl1nes just isnt cutting the cheese rn #thats the wrong saying. fandoms censored to avoid crosstagging

my digestive system is working great and i can eat food with basically no problems yayyy

did some work today!!

got to help a friend <3

got to study in a cafe!

#5 happy things #slept through my alarm but it was actually good. isn't that crazy how things go wack out of plan but life is still good?#anyways my mouth kinda hurt today so i didn't eat out but i came home and ate some popcorn and finished my essay #so i'm pretty happy <3 hehe #today was a day of miracles it was just so good #slept through my alarm but it actually worked out for the better #went to study at a cafe with some other girls and went with them to get lunch #but the lunch was yucky so i went to a friend's house to give it to her bc she'd like it #turned out she wasn't feeling great and i was able to give her some stuff i had on hand for such situations #as a result she was able to feel better but now i didn't have lunch. so i went to a cafe i'd been planning to go to for lunch #the bus stop to the cafe was 6 min walk on maps but the bus was due in 2 min. somehow i got there exactly as the bus pulled up #and near that cafe was a dollarama! and i remembered i've been procrastinating on buying new pens for a week or so!#so i got the pens i've been needing to get!#studied hard at the cafe and had a good time #it was walking distance from my place so i went back and the walk and sun gave me the energy to write my essay #everything just chained together so well today <3

It's so frustrating when you look for "affordable" ways to live it's all

"get a roommate"

"live at home with parents"

"live in a tiny home that costs a billion dollars and needs a property to be set on"

"get finical aid that no one can actually get because there's so many hoops"

"live in a million dollar van"

"live in a absolutely desecrated fixer upper home that has holes in the floor roof and rats the size of a small dog and is unlivable "

"work three jobs don't use your lights and eat one meal a week you don't need your meds either"

"find a shitty run down appartment that MASSIVELY over charges will continue to bump rent up after You've stayed so long there and has a six month mim wait period"

I have no fuckin hope of ever bettering my life or gaining freedom and independence

#i really don't know why I'm even bothering I'm so tired #I'm not asking for much i lit want just three rooms a place to sit a place to cook and a place to shower/poop #and i want to have food and medicine and lights on at night and heat in the winter #maybe that's too much to ask for maybe i need to lower my wants n needs #maybe i need to just find a fucking tree to crawl into and die #i just cant keeo doing this #life only gets worse and worse IT NEVER GETS BETTER IN THIS HOUSE #i need to map out and plan what i want my future to look like and start makoysteps to it get a better job get a place of my own #figure out how to get a job n place across seas so i can support myself there get a visa. and the ability to legally be allowed to work n #live there find a job that pays enough to live and insurance and leaves me with enough energy to continue house work and then energy to #enjoy being alive #i have to start moving on if i don't put the steps into it I'll be stuck here forever but GETTING A HOME WOULD BE STEP ONE AND IMPOSSIBLE #i can't keep doin this though

#I got a thang for taking notes IN THE GAME ! im rly liking jt.. its helping me cut down on paper #bc everytime i play sdv i end up making 5 lists every season #but now i only need likee 1 piece of paper.. si that i cn plan out my planting + harvest schedules #i like t decide th layout of my plots before i even start itis fun.. ive never done one in th formation im using rn :DD #i think i stopped on umm spring 15.. and everything wsngoing awwsome :DD #I RLY SRSLY CANT PLAY I HAVE WORK TMRW. BUT OGIGKHKH #its my first time Actually playing with mods.. i like dabbled a couple years ago but i got overwhelmed #n i have a Pretty good amt but theyre modtly judt little tweaks . AND SEASONAL OUTFITS :DD #its also my first time using a recolor and i rly like it :] im using vibrant pastoral recolor #but im using umm. the daisynikos eartly recolor for ui #i ws using it 4 everything Buttt i didnt rly like how much th interiors + houses got dulled down...#i am a little bummed bc i did love the idea of the map changing based on season.. BUT that wouldnt have worked anyway bc i have the umm #th one where it shows ppl on the map so u cn find them.. so th map is changed anyway #bummer tho. BUT i do love the vibrant pastoral bc it adds little seasonal decorations which i find saurr cute #n then im using seasonal outfits - slightly cuter aesthetic... i rly rly like it :]]#i like how umm. bc some seasonal outfits mods that ive seen just completely get rid of the villagers og outfit #and i dont rly like that sobsob.. so i like that th one i use keeps their ogs but just has them wear it during 1 specific season if that #makes sense :DD #basically mods mods mods i love mods...if anybody has any recs lmk :]#i lot of th mods r likee. for late game.. i got one t go on dates wth yr spouse which i think is so cute . n 1 to help customize the kids #I RLY WANTED th one that allows yr kids t Actually grow up n go t school #but th portraits that come with it r not at allll vanilla styled. so i couldnt... super upset abt it #but also well. it wouldve annoyed me if my kid grew up to be vincent and jas age while nobody else aged #i rly rly rly would love if somebody would add in like.. an aging mechanic #I GET WHY NOT BC THATD ACTUALLY BE SOOO MUCH. BUT YK..#i havent ever actually gotten too far last year 3 bc it just gets so stagnant...#i also got umm. 2600 canon friendly dialogue expansion.. whatever that mods called #so im excited abt that :DD
