Im jonsa curious sometimes although i go back and forth on if it could happen or not, but if it was never a thing in grrms mind one thing that is wild to me is telling us that sansa was ‘wildly in love with waymar royce’ whose first chapter is literally to forshadow Jon like why even make that a point at all in affc when in agot sansa thinks of the royces she never mentions that crush interestingly enough

yeah so the sansa-royce connection is interesting and feels a bit purposeful to me!

For one thing, Sansa's chapter at the tourney is really focused in on how the Royces do - she recognizes and follows Robar, Yohn, and Andar as they compete in the tourney. She then brings up Loras unhorsing Robar (which is right before Loras gave her the rose). And of course the crush on Waymar.

And then Sansa gets to the Vale! She can't sneeze without running into another Royce there! Nestor, Myranda, Andor, Bronze Yohn himself....and the interesting thing about Bronze Yohn, is well-

The senior branch of House Royce was close to open revolt over her aunt's failure to aid Robb in his war, and the Waynwoods, Redforts, Belmores, and Templetons were giving them every support.

He and his branch are still pissed that Lysa kept them out of the war. You know, the war Sansa's brother fought and died in? Not to mention that the exact same Waynwoods, Templetons, and Royces that Jocelyn married into are all surrounding her as well.

"Bronze Yohn knows me," she reminded him. "He was a guest at Winterfell when his son rode north to take the black." She had fallen wildly in love with Ser Waymar, she remembered dimly, but that was a lifetime ago, when she was a stupid little girl. "And that was not the only time. Lord Royce saw . . . he saw Sansa Stark again at King's Landing, during the Hand's tourney."

And Bronze Yohn knows Sansa.

So I think the Royces are about to show up and show out for Sansa in a big way! I think she's been purposefully linked to them because they're going to be one of her biggest supporters come TWOW. I think that's why the Waymar crush, the Myranda friendship, and the Bronze Yohn connection are all included, to set Sansa up for an alliance.

What IS really funny as you say is that Waymar is really here to help foreshadow some of Jon Snow's story arc - an "extra" son that has the First Men look joining the Watch, starting off very full of himself and his privilege but being able to rise in so many rough occasions especially when it comes to the Others....and the Sansa crush. lol, lmao even!

Daemon Targaryen and Rhea Royce if they managed to consummate their marriage, from that one time the twins Lyanna and Aemon Targaryen were born.

In their childhood, both twins were very loved by his parents, Daemon even tried to live healthy with his bronze dog so as not to fight in front of the children.

On his ninth name day, Daemon had to take his children to King's Landing, insisting that his children needed to learn about their dragons and his family.

Lyanna grew up with her cousin Rhaenyra who was only a year older than her, shortly after her arrival the hand of the king had to bring her daughter to the fortress to serve both as the lady of company of her

When the King decided to marry Alicent after Aemma Arryn's death, Lyanna and Rhaenyra began to have bad blood with the new queen.

Both avoiding her, Lyanna supported Rhaenyra for being angry with Alicent, she decided to betray her without caring a bit about her friendship.

But when the rumor about Rhaenyra and her father in Silk Street reached her, and days after her mother died mysteriously after her father's exile, it was breaking point for Lyanna.

She continued to feign friendship with Rhaenyra, comforting her when she was informed of her wedding to Laenor Velaryon, judging the queen together.

But Lyanna and Aemon have the perfect move to get back at Rhaenyra, and get Alicent Hightower off the board for once.

Ok, so I've fallen into the rabbit hole of Rhea Royce (one of bad bitches in the Vale) and Daemon Targaryen (huge mess of a guy) having a child together and stumbled upon @murmel-malt's oc Rowan Royce, who I have fallen in love with. So, I did what I do best and made some fanart! (Sorry for the variations of hair/skin color.)

Pic 1: Rowan at her first public appearance in King's Landing. The diadem is a present from Viserys (I) (whose trying to play the good uncle/king card on her. It doesn't work).

Pic 2-4: How Rowan would typically wear in the Vale/riding Vermithor. She is nothing if not practical. Oh, and she knows how to wield a sword and bow and arrows, courtesy of her mother.

Pic 5: What I imagine Rowan would wear to a banquet/ball. This dress was a gift from Lady Jeyne Arryn.

Pic 6: A "family" portrait with her father, Daemon, Laena, and their daughters, Baela and Rhaena (Rowan's half sisters).

Daemon and Rhea both end up incredibly drunk and spend the night together, which results in Rowan. This makes Daemon's attempts to annul the marriage way more difficult since it would make her a bastard and the crown cannot afford to have that. So he's basically forced to stay in the marriage until Rhea dies like in canon, and then he goes and marries Laena Velaryon.

Laena is by all accounts super sweet to Rowan, and so is everyone else, except Daemon who gives her the cold shoulder, which she returns. She likes her younger siblings (even her step brothers) and is even a tad protective of them. She's even the one who introduces Rhaena to her first husband while she's in the Vale.

Rowan mainly lives in the Vale for most of her childhood, and is partially raised by Lady Jeyne Arryn after her mother's death, since Daemon can't be bothered to come and at least check up on her from time to time. This does not help his reputation with the Valemen, nor the reputation of the royal family.

Like in malt's story, Rowan goes down to the Dragonpit and claims Vermithor, mainly out of spite, but also because she feels a sort of kinship with the beast, both being of bronze and because she thinks he might be lonely like her. Daemon is both impressed and a bit scared of his daughter at this point. (Meanwhile, Rhea is laughing from the great beyond with a stunned and fish-mouthed Jaehaerys (I) watching along side her.)

This raises her reputation in the Vale since it means that they now have the dragon that they were always promised. Lady Jeyne thinks of Rowan like her own daughter and allows her to keep practicing with a sword, despite Alicent's protests that it is unladylike and unbefitting of her status as the daughter of a prince.

I imagine all her newly acquired younger siblings/cousins following after her, thinking how cool it is that she claimed their great-grandfather's dragon. Both Baela and Rhaena want to be like her; Baela because of her independence and Rhaena for her bravery. They ask her questions about the Vale and what it's like there. What they know is from books, classes with the maesters, and Daemon always complaining about how boring and drab it is in the Vale.

What Rhea Royce's rule was

I know Rhea would have always had been a minor character, but if the show had adapted all the events that led to the Dance of the Dragons, then they would have covered Rhea functioning as a regent for her cousin Yorbert and then her own rule as the Lady of Runestone until her death.

The show should have showed us the time from when Rhea was the regent of Runestone while her father was the regent of the Vale; how she was seen as an ideal ruler, and the First Men having different inheritance rules from the Andals. We also can guess why Jaehaerys and Alysanne picked her for Daemon, a ruler in her own right with an army and fortress for her alone, it is obvious they needed her on the side of Viserys as well as keeping Daemon for what they feared would be an eventual rebellion; also, the majority of the Runestone soldiers went to fight with Daemon in the Stepstones.
