Pleeeeease tell us more about Rowans relationship with her husband and her children. How was the pregnancy and what does her life look like in general. 🤗

Okay so, Rowan and her hubby’s relationship is very wholesome. They love each other very much, complement and ultimately help each other in becoming a better version of themselves. Steffon’s softness tempers Rowan’s toughness and gets her to be softer herself (something she never allowed herself to be for various reasons) while Rowan’s confidence and her love for him gives Steffon a boost of his own confidence and self-worth to get over his perceived short-comings, aka failing in all aspects compared to Daemon Targaryen (because obviously the Rogue Prince would not approve of him and neither would Rowan because with Daemon as her father her standards must be very high). Except what Steffon thinks is a huge point against him, is actually a point in his favor to Rowan and pretty much every Royce.

They end up having five kids together - Yohn, their eldest and Rowan’s heir, the twins Rhea & Ryella, little Luceon, and baby Aelinor - and Rowan would kill and die for all of them. Her pregnancies mostly went pretty well, Rhea and Ryella’s was a bit taxing because twins and because it had only been two years since Yohn’s birth, but the most dangerous pregnancy/birth was that of Aelinor. There were complications and she was born early and everyone was worried for Rowan and the baby’s survival for some time. Fortunately both of them pulled through but it was enough of a scare to put the baby-making on hold for a while to make sure Rowan fully recovered - they had a bunch of kids at that point so there wasn’t much pressure to have even more anyway.

And despite her many obligations as Lady of Runestone, Rowan makes sure to spend time with all of those kids whenever possible and also take peepaw Vermithor out for regular exercise. It helps that she had a pretty good reference on how to balance being a mother and running Runestone thanks to her own mother, plus she has a husband that loves and supports her, and an army of people to take things off her hands if necessary. So she finds plenty of time to do outdoor activities (hunting, hawking, riding, you name it) with Yohn, Rhea and Ryella, or to teach Luceon, who has taken more after his father and prefers to read and study as a bonding activity, High Valyrian.

She is living the dream of a stable, loving, happy family life - now if only her father’s side of the family could stop being such a chaotic mess everything would be perfect.

He can totally see the appeal of calmly gliding through the air but please for the love of the Seven no nosedives or fancy aerial maneuvers. Especially not with the children, please!!

Who does Rowan marry??

Rowan eventually marries the third son of the then Lord Templeton, Steffon Templeton. Rhea wanted her to marry inside the Vale to stengthen her ties there and to make sure Rowan's position as the second consecutive ruling Lady of Runestone remains uncontested.

Steffon is slightly socially awkward, stemming from a more bookish nature and his inability to live up to the expectations placed on him (being good at and enjoying hitting stuff with a weapon) and before his parents were approached over a match to Rowan, he had hoped that they might finally give in and sent him to the Citadel.

He was pretty sure that the betrothal would be called off eventually since he considered himself far from the ideal husband material for the daughter of Prince Daemon but apparently him essentially being the polar opposite of her father was very appealing to Rowan.

(my current fc for Steffon is the dude that plays Prince Eric in the recent little mermaid movie. He just looks very soft and very sad most of the time and that's very Steffon.)
