A noblewoman of House Massey and a lady-in-waiting (in the book) to Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen during the Dance of the Dragons. Elinda was the youngest and the gentlest of Rhaenyra's ladies-in-waiting. In the show, she's Rhaenyra's lady's maid. But her personality is the same.
Even though Elinda was the youngest, she was the closest to Rhaenyra. In the series, you can see her in multiple scenes where Rhaenyra is particularly vulnerable. For example; when we first see her, she's the one to tell Rhaenyra that the Queen wishes to see the babe.
In the most recent episode (spoilers, sorry) - she's telling Rhaenyra she needs to sleep and that a maester's draft might help.
Elinda is a loyal, kind and devoted servant to the crown (Rhaenyra), and goes wherever Rhaenyra goes.

Rhae Targaryen Daughter of Maekar
Tumblr media
I put her in Massey colors because one of my friends requested it, but we do know that she married and had children. We also know that she gave her brother Aegon V a love potion to try and make him fall in love with her

A light hazing of the first princess of Westeros, Alyssa Velaryon, by the current Queen Visenya Targaryen.
I think this color process worked out really well. It's a lot quicker. I just need to study more lightning/shadow tutorials.

Do you think that the Masseys might have fought for the Targaryens and that Justin Massey was Robert's squire as a hostage? Also, do you have any theories on why Justin is a Ser when he has lands lost? Like is he from a cadet branch, might the Masseys have been reduced in rank from lords, like the Heddles or the Conningtons (which I find less likely as they weren't betraying their liege), was he maybe an heir of a cousin but has been passed over for supporting Stannis?
It's certainly possible that the Masseys (assuming there were any men of fighting age, at least) fought for the Targaryens during Robert's Rebellion. The Masseys are a Crownlands family, after all, and because the rulers of this region are sworn directly to the Iron Throne, at least some of its families defended the Targaryens during the rebellion (like the Rykkers and Thornes). Too, the Massey family pre-Conquest had closer ties to the Targaryens than to Storm's End, and post-Conquest participated in at least the first century and a half of Targaryen court life: as masters of law under Aegon I and Jaehaerys I, as courtiers to Rhaenyra Targaryen, and as (albeit briefly, perhaps historically unofficially) at least one member of the Kingsguard (and, though hardly positively, as a champion of Maegor the Cruel during the latter's trial of seven). So I would say to the extent House Massey still existed as a lordly power at the time of Robert's Rebellion, it's not entirely unreasonable to think its lord, and perhaps other Massey men, fought for Aerys II and the Targaryen crown.
As far as Ser Justin specifically goes, though ... it's virtually impossible to speculate much at all about his background or dynastic standing. The entire backstory Stannis provides on Justin is that Massey "once served my brother Robert as squire and acquired his appetite for female flesh", without acknowledging why Massey had come to squire for Robert in the first place. Asha, for her part, merely notes that "Massey's own ancestral holdings, far to the south, were lost to him, so he must needs make an advantageous marriage or resign himself to being no more than a knight of the king's household". It is worth noting that Stannis' loyalists seem to have been subjected to a general attainder by the Baratheon-Lannister regime, given that following the Battle of the Blackwater, those men who had fought for Stannis but "begged forgiveness for their treasons and promised to serve loyally henceforth" were "welcomed ... back into the king's peace and restored ... to all their lands and rights". Therefore, we cannot tell whether Asha's allusion to "Massey's own ancestral holdings" being "lost to him" refers to this apparent general attainder or a prior loss of lands (after Robert's Rebellion or at another time).
Nor do I think we can really say whether Justin's knightly position and title reflect his feudal ranking or merely his chivalric training. As an aristocratically born squire to a king, and given his large size perhaps at least a competent fighter, Justin may have expected that he would be knighted by the king in due course following a period of squiring, and since we don't know who knighted Justin and when, it's entirely possible that Robert (or someone else) knighted Justin irrespective of whatever place in the Massey succession Justin held, simply because Justin had finished his period of squiring. No one in universe, certainly, suggests that the Masseys suffered the same fate as the Conningtons, to lose much of their lands and have the head of the House be reduced from a lord to a landed knight (and it would be quite strange to me if that were the case, given that the Masseys were nowhere near as personally identifiable with the Targaryen cause during Robert's Rebellion as the Conningtons were). Of course, even if Justin had already lost the right to his ancestral Massey holdings, such a lack of lordly inheritance would not prevent Justin from being knighted: Dontos Hollard, after all, was knighted after being spared as a child by the chivalric intervention of Barristan Selmy, while Jaime promises the officially attainted Lord Edmure that "[i]f [Roslin's] child is a boy, he will serve House Lannister as a page and a squire, and when he earns his knighthood we'll bestow some lands upon him". The most we can say is that at some point, someone who had themselves been knighted (who was likely but not necessarily the king) decided that Justin should be knighted.
(Even less, I think can be said about Wallace Massey, given that we know literally nothing other than that he is Denys Mallister's squire.)

ASOIAF Fic Idea #2: Self-Insert into Elinda Massey from TDOTD
Another Fanfic Idea I may or may not write since I have the issue of wanting to write and then my brain freezing after the first couple of chapters or in the middle of the planning process if I decide to actually plan it out!
Elinda of House Massey is a Lady-in-Waiting for Rhaenyra Targaryen from the time period of TDOTD.
She wakes up at 5 years old as Elinda.
She would have two brothers and three sisters.
She is the oldest of all her siblings.
Order of birth: Elinda, Sister 1, Sister 2, Brother 1, and twin siblings Sister 3 and Brother 3
Names will come later
Original Fate: Gouges out eyes and is put into Sea Dragon Tower for ransom
She was forced to watch Rhaenyra be burned and eaten by Sunfyre
Wiki Link Here
Little to no uplift, lots of scheming on how to survive the dance and come out with her eyes and not a captive.
If there is uplift, it would be to build a citadel of the arts where Stondance is located, sanitation improvements, and public education in cooperation with the faith.
Link for stonedance wiki here
Link for house massey wiki here
Citadel of the arts would be built in cooperation with the citadel and would include all sorts of arts along with the history and philosophy.
A finishing school for girls of lower birth would be started as well.
Whores would start attending the school to improve their skills and desirability.  Eventually they started attending the etiquette classes (as the fee was cheap) that were offered and became more like the Courtesans of Braavos than normal whores.
Elinda hears of this eventually and talks the girls into starting a Courtesans Guild, as she honestly can’t stop prostitution, but she can set up protections in the form of a guild.
As a joke it would be called “The Maidens Guild” by guards and others to make fun of it, but it turns out that the Courtesans Guild liked the name and it’s catchy, so it stuck.
Would include Elinda being one of few people taking Rhaenyra’s training to be heir seriously.
She becomes an unofficial advisor to Nyra.
She convinces Nyra that if her father won’t provide her the education needed, that she needs to seek it out herself, and helps her pick out people to teach her what she needs to know.
Also convinces Nyra to keep her Septa and Ladies-In-Waiting near her at all times, and explains to Nyra that she needs to be beyond reproach.  The ladies-in-waiting and septa will help guard her reputation.
Her septa is from flea bottom, and is well liked there.
Also she convinces her that Daemon is in fact, bad news..
Elinda comes with Nyra on her tour along with Nyra’s other ladies and helps her build alliances.
She can’t stop Aemma from dying or Vizzy T from marrying Alicent.  She tries and fails fantastically.
TDOTD is set up by the death of Prince Aemon, so there’s no stopping it when Rhaenyra is his only living kid with Aemma.
Jaehaerys never intends for Rhaenys to be the heir, it’s a source of strife between Aemon and his father
House worships the seven, descended from the first men; they have a Weirwood tree in their castle.  It’s become more of a garden and is at the heart of the castle.
House words “Ever Moving” from a tumblr that made them
Link here
Book/Show fusion for canon
She would survive the dance, her family does declare team black.
She will marry and her youngest brother survives the war, but not the oldest of her 2 brothers.
Haven’t decided who she would marry though.

Regarding Ser Justin Massey in ADWD, where it was stated “his ancestral holdings have been lost to him” - does this not imply Justin was the heir or even Lord of Stonedance, prior to the War of the Five Kings?
There are two options.
Ser Justin is indeed the lord of or heir to Stonedance.
Ser Justin is the head of or heir to a cadet branch. Considering the Masseys have an entire peninsula named after them and were once a perpetual thorn in the Durrandons' side, I don't think such a possibility should be discounted.
Thanks for the question, anon

The World Of Ice And Fire: Aegon Announces His Conquest
Warning, Spoilers Ahead…
We left off with Argilac the Arrogant mutilating the Targaryen envoy. A clear indication of the reasoning behind the “Arrogant” nickname – dismembering a member of a dragon lord’s household is not an intelligent move.
To recap: Argilac was enraged at the thought of his daughter marrying a bastard. He cut off the hands of Aegon’s poor envoy and returned them to him in a box with a message: “These are the only hands your bastard shall have of me!”  Poor unnamed envoy!
Aegon made no reply after receiving Argilac’s bloody gift box. He summoned his “friends, bannermen, and principal allies” to Dragonstone: the Velaryons of Driftmark, the Celtigars of Claw Isle, Lord Bar Emmon of Sharp Point and Lord Massey of Stonedance.
Lord Bar Emmon and Lord Massey were from Massey’s Hook, both sworn to Storm’s End, but had closer ties to Dragonstone. Rise of the Dragons states “Lords Massey and Bar Emmon who had for many years been more closely associated with the Targaryens.
We don’t receive details over the “closer ties” – family, marriage, was Aegon simply a better overlord? It does explain Aegon’s request to include Massey’s Hook in his counterproposal. Massey’s Hook is the mid-way point between Dragonstone and Storm’s End so it isn’t a matter of their physical location being closer to the Targaryens than the Durrandons – so why did the Masseys and the Bar Emmons switch their allegiance to the Targaryens?
Aegon spent a week receiving counsel from his sisters and allies. He also visited the castle sept to pray to the Seven of Westeros despite not being a pious man.
House of the Dragon revealed Aegon conquered Westeros due to a dragon dream. So how much of the “receiving counsel” and “praying” is genuine and how much is a show for the masses? Aegon could be putting on a public show of reluctance while internally cheering the idiocy of Argilac justifying his conquest? Because I can’t see Aegon’s allies proposing conquering the entirety of Westeros in response to Argilac’s actions.
Advisors: “We remove Argilac from power, wed Orys to his daughter, and make Dragonstone the new capital of the Stormlands. Done!”
Aegon: “And then we conquer the rest of Westeros and make me the new king and overlord of a united Seven Kingdoms!”
Advisors: “Huh?” or “Well, that escalated quickly”.
On the seventh day, Aegon sent ravens to the Citadel of Oldtown and the kings and lords of the Seven Kingdoms: Aegon was now the true, sole king of Westeros. Those who bent the knee would keep their lands and titles, those who resisted would be destroyed.
Up next, the Conquest begins…
