thinking about how house giving wilson his vicodin in the c-word doesn't just mean house was giving up his physical pain relief for wilson . . . he was also giving up his ability to emotionally numb himself. in order to ease wilson's physical pain, house had to feel every single ounce of the emotional pain of watching wilson almost die.
this man who is used to numbing everything and is terrified of his own feelings was experiencing one of the most emotional situations of his life with nothing but whiskey to take the edge off
and he did it willingly. because house loves wilson so much that the only thing worse for him than being in pain is watching wilson be in pain.
