From Daeron II to Aegon V

-> a little Dreamfyre at the bottom of the family tree

-> I tried to have the dornish a look close to the people of Spain during the Al-Andalus period

-> at that point in the timeline, the Targaryens tend to follow westerosi fashion, highborn ladies wearing "modest" headpieces (headdress, hair nets, crown braid), similar to European medieval era, reflecting the weight of the Faith of the Seven

-> men tend to wear simpler fashion and jewelry too, donning an earring here and there but nothing extravagant (except Aerion)

-> Aegon V's attire reflects his reign and his will to bring back the Targaryen to their past glory (ending badly in Summerhall) and so his look and Betha Blackwood's are more "Targaryen" coded, this wish is/was also followed in a way by his siblings, Aerion and Rhea

-> a hammer and an anvil to symbolize the roles of Baelor and Maker during the Blackfyre rebellions

I would like to request a scene between Maekar and his wife in the HotD! Verse

Alaena is would be an odd pick for a wife if she wasn’t Gael’s daughter.

Her head was half-lost in magic and the other half was focused on the secrets in King’s Landing. Maekar loved her anyway.

He was cold, tempestuous and sometimes thought his mother should’ve named him Maegor instead of Maekar but then Alaena snapped out of her daze and smiled so brightly and sweetly he thought he was made whole once more.

And maybe he was.

She didn’t flinch when he touched her with his scarred and scabbing hands. Instead she stroked the callouses and placed healing salve on the raw flesh. In turn he listened to her sing of Old Valyria, of the magic trapped away under the dirt of the doomed old rock and the songs of empires cast down long ago.

Alaena Bracken loved him, and for Maekar, that is enough to make up for the children that should run in their hallways.

(It was silent but it was not her fault it was his and his crimes although they were for the greater good it’s still on his hands.)

He can live with focusing on the Gold Cloaks, live with her and her songs, live with taking Larissa on flights to the Isle of Faces and see her face smooth out for the first time in a long time.

“Magic cannot heal what is dead.” Alaena says softly, one day. “But Laena says it can heal what does not live yet.”

Maekar thinks those are the most beautiful words out of her mouth he’s heard since the first time he found her singing in the God’s Eye.

HotD:

After Viserys decides the Geens kids should go with the Black kids when they go spend some months on Driftmark and then at the Stepstones, Naerys is a bit worried about them killing each other so insists on more guards around the castles.

Corlys: Naerys, guards on every door the kids may use sounds a bit much.

Rhaenys: Yes, I'm sure they won't get in too much trouble.

Naerys, putting her hands on their soulders: Corlys, Rhaenys, my dear friends, you need to understand that if any of these kids kill each other, there won't be a war, It'll be Rhaenyra and Alicent killing each other on your living room.

I like the idea of Aegon II just comitting suicide cause he knew he was done for. But he was so happy about getting married again and having more kids, you'll say. That would be still in line with a manic-depressive person I think. I just like the idea, not super attached to it.

I will die on the hill though, that the poison at the Purple Wedding wasn't meant for Joffrey but for Tyrion. It's just too funny to not be true, I'm afraid. (And it makes zero sense to kill Joffrey BEFORE the wedding night.)

As for Aerys I not even having a cause of death thus far - GRRMy is so unserious sometimes - I'll just be equally unserious and guess a book case fell on him and crushed him.

the fact that aelora targaryen, daenora targaryen and their aunts daella targaryen and rhae targaryen were all born around the same time and likely grew up together 💖💖🥹🥹🥹🥹 they could easily be casted in the hedge knight ASOIAF series but I don’t trust the writers to do them justice
