on the surface level baelor the blessed seems like a great deviation from previous instances of the trademarked targaryen crazy, but hes actually one of the purest examples of such. its just that instead of basing his maniacal egocentric worldview on his valyrian blood he places it on his perceived piety in the faith of the seven. and so instead of carpet bombing the riverlands and basking in everyones total reverence of him and abusing the woman around him he just makes everyone conform to his zealotry and basks in their total reverence of him. and of course abuses the woman around him.

From Aegon III to Daeron II and the first Blackfyre rebellion

-> no more valyrian markings for the Targaryen after the dance and the end of dragons

-> the majority of Targaryen dresses in a more westerosi fashion, closer to the Faith (except Shiera Seastar), the reign of Aegon III is a real split from his ancestors

-> the Valyrian "fashion" still holds it's ground in Essos and so the people from Lys and Braavos continue to style themselves in a more Valyrian way (clothes and jewelry)

-> the grey robes of two of Megette's daughters are for the Silent Sisters, the white robes are for regular septas

-> Caraxes is the dragon symbolizing the next line

-> Daenera Velaryon wears the crown of Valeana Velaryon, she found it among forgotten jewelry on Driftmark when she was a child

Maybe a controversial opinion but if I was a peasant in King's Landing I would have fucking loved the weird bare-footed Jesus guy who randomly gave me coin after years of the monarchy pretending I don't actually exist. Me explaining the targ family tree and history to my friends who don't wanna know:

The Faith became really very humble during the reign of Baelor and continued to be the same before the Wise Queen Cersei undid all the good work of Maegor the Cool.

I think that Baelor was not a pious lunatic but someone who took very calculated steps. He even took Dorne into the fold. I think that the construction of the Maidenvault was a political move by him using which, he weakened the positions of his sisters and female cousins. It is noteworthy that, because of staying in the Maidenvault, the princesses had no supporters for their claim and Viserys became the next king and eventually, Daeron became the king with a Dornish queen (which could have been his secret pact with the Martells which ensured peace and led to the release of Aemon the Dragonknight.)
