Honestly what was Myrielle's reaction to Maekar dying because House Peake dropped a really big rock on his head?

maekar just having a big rock dropped on his head and dying is genuinely kind of like a comedy bit to me. it's not funny but like it's kind of funny. you crack your brother's head open like a coconut and then you get rocks thrown at you to crack your head open in turn.

i think i talked about this a longggg time ago but i forgot . myrielle isn't really thattttt close to maekar (the content is just because dilfs are hot sorry) in that they don't really spend much time one on one or anything. she knows him most in the context of what he's like when he's around aerion, but i do think especially after her dad dies (and because she's like 19 atp) she does latch onto him a bit as a father figure . relies on him for whatever you'd expect a father to do for you and given aerion's general tendency to get into shit i think he's kind of protective of her and her reputation in turn. for the sake of that positive connection between their houses if nothing else

given he dies right after aerion does and after myrielle goes back to casterly rock, i doubt she's like actively mourning him or anything, but it certainly wouldn't help her general horrific mental well being at that point . another crashout incoming .

You mentioned that aerion hurts and humiliates his wife at every chance. Besides bringing aerea to kings landing, what else would he do? I mean, shes from a strong house, so does she have at least a degree of protection, in that she can write to her family if he damages her reputation - is there any line aerion can't cross for fear of inciting her house short of killing her?

tbf realistically the question is more what DOESNT he do lol i imagine despite her relative acceptance of it and her caring for him aerion is obviously not the peak of chivalry and respect . he has the base respect not to parade treating her badly around in public because yeah she's from a powerful house and he likes to look good to the general public and dad but past that he's serving a bit of a mental + physical + sexual smoothie of misery

i think when he gets back from lys a lot of it centers around their kids . threatening to take them away and telling them bad things about her to try to distance them from her and just making sure there's always some kind of a rift between them, pushing her to spend time with and essentially raise aerea despite her being very clear in not wanting to etc . i don't think there's really anything where he's like 'okay this is too far' because ultimately she's his wife = he believes he has the right to do whatever essentially

as for her family in theory it would be possible for her to just write back home but both her dad and tybolt die before aerion get back and gerold for as much as he creeps on her wouldn't get off his ass to leave casterly rock to do anything he doesn't have that kind of drive to be especially helpful . i think she also just kind of sees it as her duty to handle it herself especially later on in life when it's been going on for a good long while . what existing in a deeply misogynistic society will do to you

Ever thoguht about making a Viserys II or Maekar I wifey oc(s). Being a queen might no be enough of a consolation prize for having to have Aegon IV/Aerion as your step-son(s) and constantly having to be compared to Larra/Dyanna tho

i didddd think about making a maekarwife a long while ago … but i couldn’t make it work in a way i liked 💔 maybe one day i’ll try to ponder again . haven’t done a viserys ii one though i think i’m a little too fond of viserys and larra . if anyone id probably craft an oc to touch on vis iii instead LOL

I love your ocs, most asoiaf ocs especially Targ ones tend to be self inserty visenya but yours are sooooo cool and actually feel like they fit in the world of asoiaf.

i should .... the daeron multiverse could be real. admittedly daeron i is probably my least favourite daeron but that's not really an insult because he's got some really tough competition. it's kind of like just a case of him being a little less active in actually doing much which does come as a result of him not being expanded on very much . he is really funny though in flopping pretty hard and the amok art of him is probably my favourite of the official targ ruler portraits

You have made me realize that we need to go more crazy over Daella Targaryen. She's just a sad, neurodivergent teenage girl who's married to a weird, balding middle aged man who treats her like one of those crusty purse dogs. Her oldest step daughter is older than she is but has beef with her for no reason. Her only daughter dies in childbirth just like she did and her daughter's daughter goes on to contribute to the destruction of their bloodline. I am going feral about her.

i agree . i think we all need to come together and discuss her more because beyond the tragedy of her unnecessary marriage and death she is such a funny (meant in the least malicious way possible) character. she’s autisic. she likes flowers but is scared of gardens (???) and bees and cats. she can barely read. she’s specifically listed to be scared of alyssa for some reason despite her being basically the only one of her siblings to defend her . she doesn’t marry a guy because she’s scared of having to be married at the weirwood tree. everyone bullies her. shes a stepmother of four . it’s all very charming to me
