Upon conducting research, it becomes evident that the majority of companies providing emergency repair services for hot water systems tend to charge exorbitant rates that may not necessarily align with the level of service they offer. If you want to keep your money in your pocket, it is best to avoid contacting these businesses entirely. Hot water repairs Sydney Expert distinguishes itself from its competitors in several significant ways.

If he gets his shit together Carmy could be an amazing husband and father
Currently, Carmy is a hot mess. But I really hope the show doesn’t intend for that to be his end game. Yes, he will always struggle with mental health issues. People aren’t cured of them, it’s a matter of managing life with them. If only mentally healthy people had spouses and children most of us wouldn’t be here and the world would be a lonely place. Unless someone is a danger to themselves and others I hate it when I hear people trying to dictate who should reproduce and who shouldn’t. I don’t even want to get into the mildly hinting at eugenicist implications of such statements.
Carmy has a way to go. Some may say he shouldn’t have had a romantic relationship. Looking back I actually think it was good that he at least tried. At the moment he thinks it was a mistake and he shouldn’t try again. But that will change as he progresses. It was a learning experience. It showed that he is capable of giving his heart, caring for a partner, being romantic, letting loose, being domestic. It also shows that there is a part of him that is unfulfilled without a relationship. It was just bad timing with the wrong person.
Beyond that I think part of Carmy’s character is a sense of respect and care for women. He speaks up when Richie harasses Sydney and when the guys were being vulgar about Claire at Christmas. He hasn’t really had a role model for chivalry and feminism but he has those values and isn’t afraid of being called “weird”. He doesn’t seem to care about fitting into the Berzatto male paradigm. He actively tries to escape it when it comes to worldview. This is why Richie calls him “woke”. Richie is built different. Mikey is built different.
Carmy is a product of the best traits of his generation and exposure to different lifestyles. He’s traveled. He’s worked with women as his superiors and equals. He’s not afraid to bring Sydney on as his CDC, Tina on as her Sous, and Natalie as project manager. He has anger issues that are often directed at Sydney but it’s not because she’s a woman. We never see him try to dominate in his relationship with Claire. He also isn’t intimidated that Claire has post-graduate education and may have more long term earning potential than him unless he really becomes a culinary mogul.
Carmy has paternal instincts. At the kid’s birthday party he knew they would want ketchup, he made the ecto-cooler, he was more concerned than anyone else about them being sedated. He made Tiff probably the best Sprite on the planet. I’m sure when Nat’s baby arrives he will be smitten, even if a fish out of water. I’m curious if he has interacted with Ava.
With the staff he is nurturing when opportunities arise. He sold off some of his prized denim to keep the place afloat. He still makes the beef even if it’s the wrong cut. He continues service after the toilet explodes because they have to keep it movin. He consoles Marcus when he fucked up service. He also warns him to stay on track but didn’t hold it against him when he actually did go off point. He bails Richie out with their parachute. He sends Marcus to Copenhagen, Tina and Ebra to culinary school, Richie to Chef Terry. He gives Sydney the space to experiment and fail. He keeps everyone on and paid. He fucks up big time and becomes unhinged but he earnestly apologizes. He’s trying. He cares. He knows he needs work. He wants to provide in the best way he’s able at the moment.
So with time, patience, and consistency, perhaps years from now I can really see him being a great partner and father. Carmy is a survivor. He doesn’t give up, he’s gonna make shit happen, he’s good at pivoting, he stays committed. Please let him have a wife and kid(s) someday if he desires. Thinking he should be alone forever is deeply pessimistic.
Adding: Carmy is also very attentive. His radar goes off immediately when Sydney is upset. He tries to fix it. He’s struggling now but he wants to put in the work and won’t leave things with them at odds. He’s not too proud to apologize.

I just rewatched 1x02 of The Bear, and took notes to get deeper into these fucked up silly guy’s heads, so here we go!!
Tw: workplace abuse, intentional emeto
The staff at EMP wear white tops, black pants, and a blue apron which Carm continued after his switch to The Beef
With both the “why?” bit and “Do you like working with fucking idiots?” “I’ll do better,” the only accepted response is that a mistake was made and it was their fault
“Do you like working with fucking idiots?” “I’ll do better.” “Say ‘yes Chef’” both serve to paint Carm as a fucking idiot and to show Chef as always deserving his respect
There’s a constant flip flop between absolutely tearing Carm to shreds and making him feel like dirt beneath Chef’s shoe for the problem that occurred and making sure he’s keeping work flowing at a rate and quality that’s acceptable to Chef (which it never will be)
I’m sure you’ve seen the “Chef saying ‘you should be dead’ was off screen so you can’t tell if it was actually Chef or if that was in Carmy’s head,” and I lean more toward the latter. I know it’s plausible (which is really fucked up), but I just like the narrative possibilities for Carm starting to hear Chef’s voice. It sounds different too. It’s whispered, but Chef had to be careful about who heard that one more than everything else, so idk
His eyes are kinda hazy through the whole thing, and when it’s over, he stalls for a second before blinking hard and brushing it off. He still sounds kind of off-kilter after though.
There’s a time skip I never noticed before where one moment, he’s desperately calling hands, and the next, they’re cleaning up after service. Maybe unintentional but maybe slipping in a little of that s1 unreality and showing that Carmy misses time sometimes
Marcus just loves messing with Richie, first his cologne and second “DeVry, we’re serious about success!!” and he’s so real for that
SYDNEY: [mocking laughter] <333
Carm doesn’t actually clean the floors with a toothbrush, he had a rag which feels… weird. His floor-cleaning toothbrush is such a staple in fics
He walks to and from work
On his coffee table, he has an ash tray, a mason jar of water, and some clutter I couldn’t make out
“YOU KILLED MICHAEL” on the order tickets is an interesting one. I’d probably tie this most easily to the train of thought that he wasn’t there, but he could have helped, and if he never left, Michael would still be alive. Maybe he thinks the pressure of having to deal with him as a kid contributed or that his success as a high end chef made Mike feel like shit by comparison, but idk, there’s a lot of ways you could go here
“That’s um… a lot of words.” We have a work day here and reading about managing his business is not fast and exciting and Carmy is a little blood-sniffing shark, if he stops moving, he’ll die. Fr kinda love him for this but am pissed at him for just shoving it back to Syd
“Is my hair on fire?” I had to look up a definition, but Carmy’s starting to wonder if he’s just totally fucked and if The Beef can make it out of this. It’s interesting to see him so unsure of whether he’s going to make it. “Not yet, no, but you need help,” just feels nice. It’s both sugar-coated and completely accurate
I love Ebra for just listening to T rant about how much she hates Syd, and later, he just fuckin rocks it when Syd calls orders out. Ebra’s one of my favs <33
Syd with her journal shows the first signs of her impatience and Richie interrupting her with the inspector I think finally flipped the switch of her just absolutely despising him
Them getting a C and seeing everyone go through the 5 stages of grief is so funny omg
Syd breaking up fights and stubborn idiot-proofing by getting the right caulk was so hot girl of her
“Fak, fix that fuckin sound.” I want to know what made the difference between this and the “I don’t mind it” alarm during the s2 Cicero meeting
“He’s a baby. Don’t get Carmen into trouble, y’know? I was a baby too once, Sydney. Nobody gave a fuck.” This is pretty self explanatory, but… yeah ouch
Carm’s willing to vent to Jimmy about work with the slightest encouragement. Might point to them having a closer relationship, or maybe Carm would vent about work to whoever will listen
“I asked you where you’ve been.” So he hasn’t seen Cicero or his mom since moving back, and I feel like him and Nat had at least texted or called before 1x01 but probably not seen each other, could be wrong on that though. So he just dove headfirst into the restaurant the second he got back to Chicago, and hasn’t even talked to the family he’s been self-isolating from for the past 5 years
I love Carm’s phone password being 11111
Edit: I’m watching this ep yet again, and the flowers on the table in the scene with Pete are the same from his cooking show dream in 1x08!!! Maybe tying in that he feels like his slow breakdown is being seen by everyone he knows, not just those connected just by cooking. Or maybe it’s connecting his conversation with Sugar to how he was also struggling especially hard at the time of the dream, but then, I feel like it would be in Sugar’s kitchen when they’re talking about it. Idk but I love this detail a lot
Sugar doesn’t seem to treat Pete super great :’(. She kinda pushes him away after he hands her the phone, and he instantly assumes that she’s telling him to shut the fuck up. She is the sibling trying hardest to change and be healthier, but she did indeed inherit that Berzatto temper and fast pace to the point of rudeness
Carm’s “Did you hear I apologized? :D” is so funny to me
Carm will vent to Sugar when something happens that’s more in the mental side of things. He wants to be casual about it, doesn’t want to think too hard into how deeply fucked he is, but he needed to talk to someone about almost setting his apartment on fire
Apparently he sleep cooks “sometimes,” and that wasn’t the only time
We know that the breathing difficulties started “sometime in New York maybe?” and I feel like crying out of nowhere is a little more recent, but the nightmares could’ve started at any time, or maybe he was saying New York for all 3, who knows
“I don’t want to bother you.” When considering who to tell what, he does consider his perceived burden on the other person
“I was throwing up every day before work… kinda dug it.” This quote has naturally festered in my brain for the past couple months because it says so much about him. He experiences stress nausea and maybe it became an intentional way of gaining control and consistency in an environment that fought so hard to make him feel faceless and powerless. It shows how far he is willing to go for this. He’ll do whatever it takes, including making himself vomit from anxiety. In his mind, it helps him become a better chef. Could also illustrate his likely connection between perfection and suffering. He kinda dug it. He felt like that self-destruction was necessary for him to excel. I could go on all day
He stayed there because “People loved the food. It felt good.” Here’s his stated motivation. His actual motivation is some messed up combination of that and lot of stuff he talks about in his Al-Anon speech: the excitement of being that good at something for once, just keeping going, hoping that one day, Mikey would acknowledge how good he was at it. People loving the food was confirmation that he was really fucking good at this. More than anything though, he wanted Mike to love the food
When the health inspector reveals that a pack of cigarettes was left by the stove, it doesn’t cross his mind that it was him. He was the CDC at EMP, he wouldn’t make a mistake like that, but he did, and now, this is just reinforcing how fucked everything’s gotten, especially himself. He’s just the type of person who leaves cigarettes by stovetops now
And yeah, that’s 1x02 - Hands all good and done!! Again, I don’t know how far I’ll get with these, but they’re very fun
Edit thanks to Pinterest scrolling: in Carm’s nightmare, the dates on the tickets are set before and after Mike’s death

SYDCARMY FICS TO COME PART2
PUSH-UP: Domestic fluff: After F-F : Syd and Carmy are together and she's remiscing of the shitty week after F-F and how much has change, while Carmy his working out, basically doing push-ups on top of her. Few hours later, when everyone was gone, when only Nat, Richie, Tina, and her were standing staring at the freezer’s door, Syd truly allowed herself to be angry. I bet so much on this, she thought. Her eyes were watery and glossy and she didn’t know if she was teary from being tired or angry. Tina pat her back before embracing her and whispering to her in spanish:    - No dejes que se te meta en la cabeza, cariño. (Don't let it get in your head, baby) She was thankful, the embrace has allowed her to deeply breath. She allowed herself to muffles some of her worry into the arms of the older woman. Another part of the fic: _____  She thought on her way out she might have heard Carmy’s voice, and seeing the slight halt Richie made, she would assume right, yet, she decided that it was enough for tonight and bypassed Richie who was already at the door, wearing his coat on top of his dark suit, holding the door before her and after her. . They shared a small look, the door closed behind them like the reminder of a prisoner’s life sentence. Syd’s scared to admit to herself that she hesitated on her way to the car. Every fiber of her beeing wanted to scream, yell and curse at whomever. She didn’t have time to scream  Fuck during service, the loud cliking of the metallic back door was resonating in her ears. Damning, haunting and final. The clicking answer of a ghost question, who died on Carmy’s lips that night. But for once, the dark-haired woman couldn’t pass’s Carmy’s feelings before hers. (my fave so far) - AU: It's miss Sydney for you. ( Syd's truly his mother's daughters) How charismatic Syd's applied the Belle, defunt Adamy mother. An upset Sydney, a whimpering Carmy, a bratty Syd. Courtship. - Are you a boy, Berzatto, whispered Sydney. The question gave Carmy a case of tinnitus. This wasn’t a question as much as it was a statement of Carmen’s behavior. The questioning of his entire persona, his entire being to the girl he liked, nay, loved sickened him. He felt dizzy as if the fume of the toxicity of his assumptions were consuming the hairs in his nostrils. -  I do not, want to have to teach you to be a man, Carmen. She said softly, he could hear the displeasure in her answer. He imagined her pouting, her lower lips soft as pillow. Pillows he will never get to ta- Carmen couldn’t stand up, sense had left him.  A shiver had gone through all his body when she whispered his name, he felt sicker and hornier. As if the words before didn’t stab him through his chest, he felt hot.   So, I will explain this and this once only, because I    ‘l’ ‘ i ‘  ‘k’  ‘e’ you, the girl was spelling out and enunciating the word so clearly, as if to make sure the extra space would give enough time to Carmy to grasp the implications of him screwing up with his future fiance. - I will fix this, - Humph, responded the young girl, - No…No, Sydney, an annoyed sound came out of Adamu’s only daughter, a clicking of the tongue that resonated in Carmy’s ear like the ringing bells in town. Bad omen, ill omen. - Miss Adamu, he corrected himself, apologetic, apologizing for daring to even breath the same air, his hands were sweating, his throat was hurting, drained of any ever-existing fluid. He had never had water before Sydney Adamu. Hell, he hadn’t lived before Sydney. So, he sure as hell never had drank before Sydney. He couldn’t allow a world were she couldn’t fathom… Teary like a child on his first day at kindergarten, like a lover waving his soulmate goodbye. Oh God, he wanted to throw up.

CHAPTER 3: VLK, SYDNEY AND HAZEL
Vlk and Orion belongs to @imapuppy5000
Sydney belongs to @tamberwoof
Hazel and Willow belongs to @puffymucher
Iris belongs to @helluvadyke
Hazel managed to catch up with Vlk and Sydney as they were walking towards the bathroom houses, "Hey gals! What are yalls going to try out?"
Vlk, ignoring her question looked around Hazel, "Hey where's Sage? I thought they were with you?"
"Ah, Bluebell wanted to go solo for a bit, but we'll meet up when she's done, so what's the plan ladies?"
Sydney showed Hazel the brochure, pointing at a service called Artic Cooldown, "We wanted to check out this, apparently it's a large ice bath that helps soothe sore muscles. We figured since we tend to overheat most of the time, we can try to 'keep cool'."
"That sounds like fun, count me in!"
The trio entered the bathroom, and the ice bath looked equal to a hot tub in terms of size. Before entering the trio were given robes for when they undressed for the bath. Hot refreshments were offered to the trio as they made their way to the bath, all making a collective sigh as they all dipped into the cold water.
Sydney, with cucumbers covering her eyes, waved her hand at Hazel, "When we are done we gotta plan on giving Sage something as thanks for this, I also gotta thank Clara and Odette for taking care of Pip for the day as well"
Vlk nodded, "I agree, our Sage really pulled through for this one."
Hazel looked up, "Hmmmm, well most of us are banned from the kitchen so a homemade dinner is outta the question, and we did talk about Sage doing that Motorcycle derby,"
Vlk shot up, "wait, isn't that the same derby that nearly half the competition gets ripped in half by sadistic psychopaths?!"
Hazel patted Vlk's shoulder, "You underestimate Sage, I have seen them take hits and deliver them tenfold; even without that fancy robo arm they can still put up a good fight."
Vlk sighed, "Yeah, you're right."
Sydney tossed a slice at both of them, "Hey, talk about your house-spouse later, they would like it if her girls actually relaxed for once."
Hazel tossed a few more cucumbers at Sydney, "I can talk about who I want to talk about!"
It then devolved into the trio tossing cucumbers and other food items at each other, which led them being kicked out of the bath house. Fortunately they met up with the other four (Iris clinging to one of Willow's arms, and Orion and Vlk glaring at each other.) Everyone then decided to check out the food court for a meal.

Top 5 Common Causes of Windscreen Cracks and How to Prevent Them
Tumblr media
Windscreen cracks are one of the most common issues car owners face, and they can be caused by a variety of factors. A small crack in your windscreen might seem like a minor inconvenience, but if left unchecked, it can quickly turn into a larger problem, potentially leading to a full windscreen replacement. Understanding the common causes of windscreen cracks and knowing how to prevent them is essential to keeping your vehicle in top condition. Here are the top five causes of windscreen cracks and tips on how to prevent them.
1. Debris from the Road
One of the most common causes of windscreen cracks is flying debris. Small stones, gravel, or other debris from the road can easily hit your windscreen while driving, leading to chips or cracks. These cracks often start small but can expand quickly due to factors like temperature changes or vibration from driving.
Prevention Tip:
To avoid this, try to keep a safe distance from trucks or vehicles that may be carrying loose debris. Additionally, make sure your windscreen wipers are functioning properly, as a broken wiper can cause additional damage when it contacts debris.
2. Sudden Temperature Changes
Your windscreen is made of tempered glass, which is designed to withstand heat, but extreme temperature fluctuations can still cause stress. For instance, when the windscreen is extremely hot and you use cold air conditioning, or if it’s freezing outside and you pour hot water on a frosted windscreen, the glass can expand or contract rapidly, leading to cracks.
Prevention Tip:
Avoid sudden temperature changes. If your windscreen is very hot, try using the car’s air conditioning gradually to cool it down instead of pouring cold water on it. Also, use a windshield cover during extreme temperatures to protect it from the elements.
3. Poor Quality Windscreen Installation or Repair
If your windscreen was poorly installed or previously repaired, it may be more vulnerable to cracking. A faulty installation can lead to uneven pressure on the glass, and in turn, cause cracks over time.
Prevention Tip:
Always ensure that your windscreen is installed by a professional. If you’re getting a crack repaired, make sure you hire a trusted specialist. For those in need of repairs, consider using mobile windscreen crack repair Sydney services for the convenience and reliability of an experienced technician who will ensure proper installation and repair.
4. Structural Damage from Accidents or Impact
Accidents, even minor ones, can cause significant damage to your windscreen. A sharp impact or collision can lead to large cracks or even completely shatter the glass. While these incidents are often unavoidable, the type and extent of the damage can vary based on the severity of the impact.
Prevention Tip:
Driving carefully and avoiding hazardous conditions, such as poor weather or dangerous roads, can help minimize the risk of accidents. If an impact occurs, seek professional windscreen crack repair Sydney cost estimates to determine whether a repair or replacement is needed.
5. Worn-out or Faulty Windscreen Wipers
Worn-out or faulty windscreen wipers can cause damage to your windscreen over time. If the wipers aren’t clearing debris properly, they can cause scratches or chips that may eventually lead to cracks. Additionally, using the wipers when they’re dry or on icy windshields can add stress to the glass.
Prevention Tip:
Check your windscreen wipers regularly and replace them when needed. Ensure they are in good condition and use them only when the windscreen is properly lubricated with water or wiper fluid to avoid unnecessary friction.
Windscreen cracks may seem like a minor issue at first, but they can lead to more significant damage if not addressed promptly. For those looking for the cheapest windscreen crack repair Sydney has to offer or require more extensive services, it’s always wise to compare options and ensure you’re getting the best quality for your money. Taking care of your windscreen will keep your vehicle safe and your driving experience smooth.
