Barebottle’s Joy Juice Double IPA on tap at Hopwater Distribution in San Francisco. A 3 of 4. A big tropical nose and a lighter slightly sweet fruity body. Quickly fades to bitterness, but definitely big and complex on the fruit up front. Hides the alcohol well, and quite nice.

Lúpulo fora da cerveja

O amor ao lúpulo é tão grande, que ele está sendo utilizado para fabricar outras bebidas, como água, refrigerante e café. Na cerveja, o lúpulo é um dos quatro ingredientes principais e responsável pelo amargor e aroma da bebida.

A H2HOP é a primeira água com gás lupulada do Brasil, produzida pela Cervejaria Araucária, da cidade de Maringá, Paraná. Ela possui um agradável amargor, é 100% vegana e sem glúten. Uma ótima alternativa para a água tônica. A bebida é sem açúcar e aromatizada naturalmente. Além disso, eles possuem diversos sabores.

Já o refrigerante de lúpulo é fabricado pela marca norte-americana Hopwater. E segundo a empresa, o refrigerante é delicioso, não alcoólico, possui aroma floral e a amargura agradável do lúpulo. O Hopwater possui quatro sabores: Original, Ginger, Lime e Grapefruit. Todos são leves e de baixa caloria.

O Beerspresso é um café com toques de lúpulo. A técnica é uma invenção da cafeteria Taproom Coffee & Beer, localizada em Atlanta, nos Estados Unidos. Para produzir a bebida, os baristas analisaram métodos de preparo de café gelado até decidir por um de origem japonesa e adicionaram lúpulo seco, que acentua as notas cítricas e florais do café.

O Beerspresso também tem a espuma característica da cerveja. Para conseguir isso, a cafeteria adiciona nitrogênio à bebida, garantindo uma espuma densa e cremosa. Segundo os produtores, ela lembra um pouco o leite vaporizado adicionado aos cappuccinos e espressos comuns.

Altamont’s Shot Away IPA on tap at Hopwater Distribution in San Francisco. A 3 of 4. A renamed Shelter IPA, this delivers a nice standard citrus and pine profile along with a chewier, resinous body. Some nice malt sweetness lingers in the body, and this fades to a firm bitterness. Nice IPA.
