Oh she knows Odysseus is somewhere. Why is she setting up a tournament that only Odysseus could do now?? She knows…. She knows….

Book XX: Odysseus cannot sleep. What else is new?

Odysseus’s name meaning anger is starting to make sense now that he’s home and wanting to murder people out of anger. I guess the fact that he pisses everyone off to is also an indicator of that 💀

I like the idea that Telemachus is very timid and soft spoken. Everytime he speaks against the suitors they’re always surprised; now that he’s older with Athena and his father by his side, he’s beginning to break out of this shell and become more bold. It’s neat for his character. wonder how he’d feel about himself compared to his lion-hearted father

I guess people in Ancient Greek times just killed each other without any thought lmao. I have a feeling that it’s less about the law and more about the revenge that would fall upon you if you killed someone. It was satisfying to read the suitors and maids die tho. Heck yeah

Gosh. The love and chemistry between Odysseus and Penelope is so strong, even tho they’re barely together in the story. Like, it’s interesting to hear how much love they poured into each other that night, (especially compared to Circe and Calypso. Odysseus clearly did not love them.) and then they talked and explained their times away from each other. Augh they’re so in love 😭😭😭

Dang, that was an abrupt ending. But why did Athena like… tell Odysseus’s father to kill the guy and then told them not to kill each other lmao. Idk. But overall yay. Interesting how Odysseus didn’t listen at first. I think he’s truly changed since his adventure

Something I noticed was that Odysseus was probably a very happy and joyful man. He had family and friends, a wife and a newborn son. He treated everyone fairly and with kindness and everyone adored him for it. But after his adventure, he seemed far more somber and angry. Sad change of character, but ultimately he didn’t change too much. I love him. I enjoyed that WAAYYYY more than I thought I would. Sure the writing was different than what I was used to—there was so much yapping and tangents and metaphors—but it wasn’t impossible to follow! I’ve read difficult stories from Shakespeare to scriptures and this was an overall easy read. The culture of Ancient Greece is very…. Strange to me, but it’s always neat to see differences in cultures, no matter how uncomfy it makes me feel. Love how both Odysseus and Penelope remained faithful to each other and cried over each other a lot. They got married for a reason <3 and Telemachus my son. He’s so precious. Good good story I enjoyed that a lot

anyway i think the overcomplication of queer labels has really done a disservice to younger (or newly discovered) queer folks trying to figure themselves out. you dont need to know every aspect and detail or your sexuality, gender, preference, etc. sometimes you just gotta let things happen and you’ll figure it out as you go. you may never have a word for it and that’s okay.

I think the same reason I love Dorym is why I love Loquatious and Laerryn. One, the devotion of it all. But secondly, and more importantly, "But there's one story of a fairy who stumbled into this world and fell in love"

Because Dorian is an air genasi prince who left home to find something real. His home floats on wind and he's never wanted for a thing. And he came down from his clouds only to find himself stumbling, tumbling, into love with just a man.

There is something so earnest about a man who is considered magical and wondrous in a world that already has magic, falling in love with someone who just is.

It's a thought that scratches the back of my mind a lot. It goes hand in hand with Liam saying "he has no idea if Dorian returns his feelings". Because from Orym's point of view why would Dorian have feelings for him? Dorian. The beautiful blue prince who is extremely talented in both music and magic. Dorian is everything Orym admires in other people. Everything he doesn't see in himself.

But Dorian does have feelings for Orym. Because Orym is everything he's not. He's firm and reliable. He knows who he is and is unapologetic about it. Orym was the only one in the (original) Crown Keepers that wasn't tempted by the spider queen. Because he was too principled. He was too good. Dorian's alignment changed. Dorian felt himself getting worse. Yet Orym stayed steadfast. In the face of everything he did not change.

Their pursuits were the same. They wanted to protect their friends. At any cost. But Orym somehow stayed unchanged. He always knew the right way of doing things.

So the handsome prince fell in love with a guard and planned to stay with him until he no longer wanted the company.

I literally said to a friend "I know he leaves. But he is so devoted to Orym I don't know how they're going to get him to."

And it was the one thing neither could argue against. Family. Orym knew about family. He knew about duty.

But even a continent away Dorian couldn't stop thinking about Orym. His little tactician before he was the savior blade. Even when his world came crashing down, Orym called and he went.

Idk. I think there's something beautiful in the way that Dorian loves Orym. I think it is very reminiscent of the fey who stumbled into this world and fell in love. I think it will be a love that will always be with them. That they will have to recover from. A love they might have to mourn before they ever have it.

Even if they never... If there is no love confession, if they have to mourn the loss of the people they thought they were, if there's no way for them to be together; Dorian will always love Orym. In the same way Orym loves Will. First love often lingers.

Anyways- ramble under the cut :P basically lore stuff for my AU

I’ve stated that Leshy hardly ever got to see Narinder growing up. Narinder was always off doing his own thing and kinda stopped checking up on everyone ever since he started questioning his role.

And because of this, Leshy and his relationship never grew. Leshy hardly knew the guy. Only through stories Shamura would tell him. Kallamar would tell him about Narinder’s temper. And Heket would tell him about Narinder’s domain, a vast white space. A void.

Since childhood, Leshy always felt a weird aura whenever the topic of Narinder came up.

I want to believe that Shamura made a good parental role in their sibling’s lives. But with Leshy, since they discovered him when they were much older, it felt different. Their bond with the child felt like a parent to their child. So Shamura would hold high expectations for the boy on accident. Sometimes leaving him to figure stuff out or guide him to deal with his issues instead of helping.

Leshy’s the youngest of course, and that put a lot of unwanted pressure to be the best he can be. Shamura would be around every now and then, but they too got busy at times. Kallamar and Heket were far away too. So out of desperation, Leshy finally sets out to visit Narinder.

Their meeting is interesting, Narinder doesn’t act as if Leshy was a stranger. And Leshy can’t help but feel comfortable. So the visits became more and more frequent, until Leshy’s initiation.

The idea of taking over the crown officially and having a domain terrified him. Leshy tried to take comfort with Shamura but it didn’t help, neither with Kal or Heket. So he ran to Narinder, it was sad that Narinder was clueless about the initiation. But it didn’t matter in the moment, Leshy just wanted to be the best cult leader he could be.

Narinder and Leshy’s relationship was always complicated, yet it didn’t stop Nari from giving Leshy advice. How he wouldn’t do it alone, how everyone would be there for him. And it was nice to hear, nothing being said about power or fear. Just reassurance.

But we all know how that reassurance gets broken 😔👍

After Narinder’s betrayal, Leshy tried to forget that he existed. He tried to be there for Shamura. Besides- the betrayal in my AU happened a few days before his initiation. So Leshy was forced to wait a bit longer to help out his sibling. It’s something he hates Narinder for.

And hatred is such a silly word for him. A god of chaos, he should know everything there is to hate. To destroy. To conquer and take over. But it felt different, it felt harder to deal with. His relationship was Narinder never fully repaired, but at least Leshy had the willpower to forgive him.

Let me explain my posts as I have nothing to queue 😎 The first thing? You never saw Riku's face here. Well actually, he noticed that love at first sight look in Oscar's eyes.

Now knowing the above 😏 he asks him if he's interested in anyone and the answer is yes. Riku had guessed it was the girl at the sushi restaurant because he'd never seen Oscar like that before.

The blind date! Riku saw it was the same girl that Oscar was interested in and his old classmate. This first impression, be it real or just a facade, it gives an idea of his true feelings 😌 Does he like her that way? Could they end up together? Also the "Am I doing this right" could be both ways. Suzume with how she's being on her first date and Riku knowing his best mate likes her.

His heart skipping a beat here could also mean being nervous or surprised. And ofc it's because Oscar asked about his date. I love their bromance and I'll include lots of it 🥹 but after playing with them I don't want to ruin their friendship with a love triangle!

Finally, explaining the situation vaguely, self explanatory with this whole post! Before making my tjolc plot, I was rooting for Oscar (since a year really haven't I made it obvious saying he is my fav sim 😂) and I played around with all their dynamics to see if things could change. Now you know what will happen, but how Suzume meets Oscar and leading up to it will be just as interesting 👍

Side note: I'll be taking a break posting on simblr. Also postcard legacy will resume when my academic year is nearly over (next month?) but it'll still be tjolc until a certain point! Reason why it has been this long is because I want to focus and not rush the next part. My head wasn't in the right place to continue it and in the end I play to destress from my studies. So that's why I was posting tjolc all this time and I had so much fun! Actually both legacies are story-focused, but they are completely different! You'll understand why it needed a break once I start posting again 😊

Like “if one got seriously stuck in a hospital the others would be able to visit because they’d be considered spouse and/or legal family” style, y’know? In a “benefits on tax returns and few(er) questions if Fabian (or the cig figs if they make more money?) decides to share a larger amount of money with the others because they’re considered extended family” way, and a “easy to put on emergency contact forms” way. Half their parents are already dating each other, it wouldn’t even need to be a very large friend-marriage-web! Idk man I just think it would be funny

So I was thinking about Monster High 2022 cartoon showrunner Shea Fortana responded on Instagram while making the show in which G1 characters will be integrated and there is a handful of characters MH franchise team doesn't want to introduce to a new generation.

So I made a list...

Also, I'd like to point out that I could be 100% wrong. I don't work for Mattel and it's just pure speculation from me.

The first two tiers explain itself: Characters that appear in the show. Main characters that already have dolls and those who don't have dolls yet.

The "Cameo" tier: Probably Operetta will appear next year with Jinafire, Skelita, etc.

The "Unknown status" tier is debatable. In the case of MH live-action movie uses the character Jackson / Holt to make Mr. Komos. Who knows if they are going to use these characters later on.

The "Ties with other franchise" Tier: I don't know if C.A Cupid will never return because Ever After High.

The "Controversial ones" Tier: Isi, Gigi Grant, Whisp, Hoodude, & Jane ties in with sensitivity issues of their own culture.

I didn't know that Kjersti is based on a real person who caused controversy with Mattel because Becky's wheelchair doll couldn't fit in Barbie's Dreamhouse.

And the last tier: Are characters have bland designs that would be difficult to sell. Except for Wydowna but probably won't sell well because cost of molding and designing clothing specific for her. Most likely higher up thinks she's too scary for kids.

I know there more characters that have potential like Johnny Spirit, Seth Ptolemy, Spelldon Cauldronello

Like I said in my previous post. The problem with G1 is that a new MH doll line must include 3 or 4 new characters. And some of them don't even go to Monster High. Chances are getting less screen time or don't get development.

This is understandable for the business side of things that most popular characters will be introduced first and see which ones need redesign like Lagoona, Ghoulia, etc.

At the end of the day. Monster High cartoon is like any other show to promote toys.

If the Monster High 2022 show ended. The MH fanbase will live and stay here: creating fanarts, fanfictions, or even custom dolls of your favorite character.

The shrill laughter coming from them made butterflies flare up in such a beautiful way in you.

Those were just tears of joy. What more could they be?

They didn't mind when the people they were once close to vanished. One after the other

They were too preoccupied with wedding plans to even think about their companions dropping like flies around them.
