If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

DRIFT: It wasn't exactly announced? Turmoil and I had been at each others throats for months, and I've gone...independent before on occasion. I'd have thought Lockdown or someone would have mentioned it but apparently not.

PROWL: Your background as Deadlock isn't widely known within the Autobots either. Your paperwork hasn't officially been filed anywhere but my private systems.

DRIFT: [with a bad feeling and hating monthly "checkups" already] ...okay.

PROWL: Keep an eye out for an email.

PROWL: [off screen] Jazz, I need to pull you for new ops training.

Drift is absolutely certain it cannot be what he thinks it is. Prowl cannot actually expect him to just walk up to the Conclave and act like nothing happened. There is no possible way.

Jazz arrives and cheerfully informs him that it is exactly that. Clearly the lack of survivors on Turmoil's crew and Lockdown's own recent need to make a run for it meant Deadlock’s defection never updated. Plus, while under Kup, he hasn't exactly become widely known or been spotted. Jazz has his own cover identity as a Decepticon he's carefully maintained, but they've never gotten close to the Conclave. Hence, their new job to temporarily resurrect Deadlock as a double agent.

There's a lot of arguing and vack and forth, but the knowledge the last Conclave started off the Expansion Era is convincing enough that everyone is taking this seriously. Even Decepticon operations have been put temporarily on hold, and they have the best of the best on it. There are some compromises, though. Drift isn't going in alone. Jazz, obviously, and the Wreckers and Kup's squad are on standby to pull him if needed.

Also, Hot Rod, with his new spanking Decepticon Identity, Flareup, shows up with a purple and blue paintjob to Drift's first spy class to go with him. Hot Rod is a scout and was the leader in a secret revolution, and he's actually better at the social aspect and making quick connections seeming comfortable and like he belongs then expected. Drift is also uncomfortable about the fact he is a good social chameleon being praised and Jazz's unsubtle attempts to join his team rather than Kup's.

Starscream, meanwhile, has put a pin on Earth because he is not missing this, so humanity gets an unexpected mercy from immeninent alien invasion while the war goes in a different direction.

Tarn meanwhile is perfectly happy with his supportive team, daydreams of a reunion, and the correct shade of orange at last. He is completely oblivious to Nickel plotting to murder Megatron and Vos, encouraging her while the rest of the DJD deal with the uncomfortable feeling of admitting they are also upset about Tarn's treatment but aren't quite willing to fully criticize Megatron.

No one has told Nickel yet that it is Megatron, and she and Flareup are currently exchanging revenge plots. Even better her friend is going to be at the Conclave along with Tarn's pesky soon-to-be ex and has agreed to help Nickel hide the body because apparently none of the other DJD are willing to take out the trash so she will.

When Senshi was young in the dungeon the majority of the adults he were with ostracized him. All except Gillin, who died to make sure Senshi had something to eat: unseasoned boiled meat that may or may not have been one of their comrades.

It really puts into perspective why he was so nurturing towards Chilchuck. When Chil reveals he’s 28 to the party, Senshi responds by telling him that he thought he was older. Senshi was in his 30s when he and his comrades got trapped in the dungeon, so it’s safe to assume that he thought Chil was at a similar age.

He met a young boy who was, from his perspective, forced to do dangerous work in the dungeon just like he was, and so, Senshi made an effort to look after Chilchuck in the same way Gillin looked after him.

Mind you, when Senshi was young in the dungeon he had to starve for weeks, eat the horse he loved, and finish it off spending the next i don’t know how many years wondering if he committed cannibalism.

Senshi understands first hand the value of nutrition and proper eating, so when he’s with the party he makes an effort to make sure they’re all eating a full and balanced diet. Not only that, but Senshi INVOLVES them in the process of getting food to eat, always preparing it in front of them and narrating every ingredient in the process so that there’s no doubt about what they’re eating.
