Distantly, he hears Sanji say it. "You know that's not Ace." And he knows this. The wavy hair, the freckles, the slight furrow of his brow even in unconsciousness. How could he not?  Even now, white-haired and black-winged and strung up in green fluid, he is Luffy's brother. And he hears himself reply. "I know. But I'm still taking him with us." - if i could see your face once more
seraphim ace AU inspired by @lunisoular's amazing art (1, 2) and also by the fact that ace was offered a position as a shichibukai (which he turned down)

OP Men as Dads Part 3
Note: Part 3, Part 3!! I was asked by someone on AO3 to add Luffy, so I did that! I still view Luffy more as a brother or son, so I still don't expect to write anything romantic for him, but this I can do! I hope you all enjoy!
Tumblr media
Franky probably didn’t even think he’d ever get the chance to have kids, not after the train accident you know, but he’s excited for it! You’d have two boys around three to four years apart that are just like Franky in every way, but the older would be a bit more shy than the younger. They’ll both spend a lot of time with Franky in his workshop when they get old enough, they’ve got a knack for shipwright work and it almost brings a tear to Franky’s eye to see them sketching their own ship designs on whatever scraps of paper they can find. Your boys love you too of course! The two will bring their drawings to show you and ask your opinion, you have to tell them everything on your mind or they won’t go back to drawing, mama’s thoughts matter! It becomes family time to go over the sketches your boys made during the day, they want to do you and Franky proud in everything, but nothing they do could ever make you love them less.
~~
Katakuri has planned to have kids for a while, even though he’s already 48, he still wants to have a few and be a father to them. He’ll raise them differently from how he was raised, but still love them dearly and want only the best for them! You’ll both be surprised when you only have one first, a little girl who has Katakuri wrapped around her finger as soon as she’s born and handed to him. She’s so tiny, he’d be content to have just her if she’s all you were blessed with. Fast forward five years and there’s a set of wailing triplets that you also didn’t expect to have, but the three boys are more than you ever could’ve asked for and their big sister loves them just as quickly. She begs to see them as soon as their born, Katakuri brings her by that day to see you and them, and she has to gold all three in a row immediately. After that, a set of twin girls comes along a few years later, your oldest isn’t the only girl anymore and she’s still just as happy to have new siblings at around ten-years-old, your five-year-old set of triplets also excited. Katakuri loves and thanks you so much for the family you’ve made with him, even if you tell him your twin girls are it, you’re done. He's happy with what you have, grateful for your love and children.
~~
Killer is absolutely a great dad, you couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be your partner and father to your children. You have a boy first off, with your eyes and blond hair, he wants to be just like his dad when he grows up! A couple years later comes a little girl, she’s a surprise but a pleasant one at that. You didn’t really expect her to have Killer wrapped around her finger in a heartbeat but the second he saw her it was over, he became wholly devoted to your little girl and making sure she was happy as could be. You’ve come back to your family multiple times seeing Killer either having a tea party with your daughter or playing some make believe game with both your children, he normally plays the damsel in distress for their enjoyment. Your kids can see people act oddly around Killer when they recognize him, but neither of them care to know why, they’re still quite young, and they only care that they’re dad loves and takes care of them alongside you. All that matters to them is that Killer is around to play with them and eventually start teaching them to protect themselves.
~~
Luffy would be the fun dad, no doubt in my mind! Like how Ace would have three daughters, I can see Luffy having three sons! Probably twins at first, then another son a couple years later, the three having the same dynamic that he had with Sabo and Ace when they were kids! They’d all look like Luffy, except your middle child would have your eyes, a small piece that shows yes, you’re the mother to these three rugrats. All three dream of being pirates, its their favorite game to plan, especially so since their dad is King of the Pirates. After all, who better to tell you how the pirate life works than him?? With all of the Straw Hats around, your sons would be protect from the moment they hear you’re pregnant, everyone being the best aunts and uncles around as soon as they’re born. Luffy would be the most protective of course, but he’d still give your sons the freedom to do what they want and to grow and learn how the world works. Being a pirate is about freedom, isn’t it? Your sons will never have to wonder if they’re loved or wanted, everything you and Luffy do is for them.
~~
I honestly see Mihawk with one child, a daughter. She’d be an unexpected blessing that has him around her tiny finger the moment she takes her first breath. He’d never let her, or you of course, out of his sight, unless he absolutely had to go to a Warlord meeting or something like that. When Zoro and Perona show up, they’re both flabbergasted that the Dracule Mihawk has a child, and that she’s a cute baby girl, only a few months old! Perona will try to dress her up in frilly dresses but your daughter will cry, which ends with Mihawk taking her back and demanding Perona stop using his daughter like a dress up doll. The funny thing is, your daughter will be absolutely enthralled with Zoro, she’ll fuss until he holds her, sometimes he’s the only one who can get her down for a nap or to sleep at night. The number of times Mihawk has caught Zoro training with your daughter strapped to his back or the two napping together warms his heart, maybe having the two freeloaders around isn’t so bad.
~~
Sabo never thought too much about having kids. It was a nice idea, but he didn’t have any strong opinions about it. Then of course, you showed up and he started to have dreamy ideas of his own family and children with you as the mother. Your first is a little girl, blonde as her dad and just as rambunctious. She’ll chase down everyone that she can’t to play with her and grab their attention for whatever story she’s made up, Sabo especially listens intently to her, giving her a smile, asking questions, and responding to everything she says positively. After your daughter comes two boys, one after the other just a couple years apart, and both times Sabo can’t believe he’s so lucky to have you and your children. Your sons look more like you, though your youngest has Sabo’s hair just like your daughter. He’s more shy than either of his siblings, but with Sabo he’s more open and talkative. Your first son may be the middle child, but he’s also the one who becomes more interested in the Revolutionary Army’s work. Although Sabo knows that all of them may become interested one day, wanting to join, he hopes that their work can be completed first and your children will be able to love safe, comfortable lives as they grow up.

LUFFY
When you first began to court Luffy via your pod’s traditions, you quickly realized you’d have to improvise; Luffy had no clue what any of your actions meant, no matter how obvious you made it.
You brought your captain countless gifts, ranging from perfect pearls to slightly chipped sand dollars, and each time all he did was smile, thank you, and skip away to add your gift to his growing collection.
This time, however, you would make sure he understood, lest your sanity slip away.
He sat criss crossed on his special seat, the mast of the ship, and you stood on the deck with a pretty pink and blue conch shell in hand. Hopeful eyes set on the man you admired, you failed to notice Robin coming up beside you. She hummed softly, startling you. “Oh, hi.”
“He’ll like that one.” Robin smiled cheekily. “But you want my advice?”
“Please.”
A chuckle left her as she looked on at her captain. “Be as straightforward as you can. Ask him what his feelings are.”
Blinking widely, you gazed back at Luffy. That surely seemed easy enough. Steeling yourself with a sigh, you nodded once and trudged forward, up the stairs to the foredeck and all the way up to where the masthead met the deck. Words rose to your lips and fell short, breath caught by the way the wind and sun sat around him like good friends. Luffy sat leaned back on his hands, eyes gently shut, easy smile on his face. You couldn’t dare to break such a moment, not till you nearly dropped the shell and let slip a little yelp.
Luffy reacted instantly, tilting back his head to see what was the matter. He grinned upon seeing you, sending jitters through your belly. “Hey!” His eyes lowered to the conchshell tight in your grasp, jabbing a finger at it. “What’s that?”
He already knew it was for him; Luffy grew to look forward to your random gifts, treasuring them in his quarters and spending a little time each morning just admiring them.
You glanced down at your gift, mustering up your courage and hoping beyond hoping that he’ll finally understand. “It’s for you. I found it this morning.”
Found was an understatement. You’d scoured the seafloor all morning to find something worthy of bestowing upon your love. Luffy beamed even brighter, if possible. “Really?” He slid off the mast and landed right in front of you.
Luffy’s eyes shown like stars, his lips slightly parted as he ghosted his hands over the silky surface of the shell. You passed it on to his caloused hands, skin sparking as his fingers slid against yours. You stood transfixed upon him and how gently he handled the gift, turning it this way and that to see every nook and cranny, leaving no part of it unknown. A sharp ba-dump ba-dump echoed in your chest.
“It’s great,” he breathed, raising his eyes to peer into yours. Soft wasn’t a word one would use to describe Luffy. Brash and loud, yes. But not soft. Yet, there was this secret shadow of him that was softer beyond compare, only revealed in moments of deep distress… or right now, when you hand him a piece of your heart.
You felt a soft prod at your back, hand lunging back to catch a phantom wrist. You quickly released Robin’s hand, whipping around to spy her, but she was nowhere in sight. Puffing your cheeks, you swiveled back just to find Luffy leaning close over your shoulder, eyes squinted. “What’re we looking for?”
“N-Nothing.” Gazing into his face, you coiled your fists. “Luffy, I have a question.”
Instantly, all his attention was on you, pleasantly awaiting. “Mhmm?”
“I… I was wondering… do—do you—do you like… tangerines?”
Luffy blinked a little blankly, before shrugging a shoulder. “Yeah, I like ‘em. What an odd question.” He ruffled up your hair and hurried off. “I’m gonna add this to my collection. Thanks a bunch!”
“Yeah… no problem.” Cupping yoru face in your hands, you groaned disparingly. Cracking open an eye, you found a single arm sprouting from the deck rail sporting a thumb’s up of comfort.

NAMI
The gifts had been a constant before you and Nami made it official, but after? Nami was running out of room to keep all the nick-nacks you showered her with. She’d never tell you that though, the smile on your face each time you offered up a gift a treasure in itself.
So Nami settled for becoming the ship’s interior decorator, making it a project to find the best places to present your increasingly beautiful finds.
Hanging from the wall in the galley was a giant piece of seaglass wrapped in fishing net. On the kitchen table an array of shells sat in a decorative bowl. Each of the boys had a whole sand dollar they were not allowed to touch on the their bed table.
It took you a few weeks to notice it, with the decorations growing over time, but when you did a surprised yet excited beam took you face. You noticed the solid pink clam shell you’d found a month ago among the table decorations, immediately whirling on Nami with a bright smile. “I found that, didn’t I?”
She was worried you’d be upset with her decorating, but now you coudln’t have looked happier. Nami’s cheeks reddened as she laughed, nodding. “You did. I thought I’d put some of your treasures around so we can all admire them.”
You shot up from the table and bounded off. “How many more are there? Did you hide them?”
Nami watched misty eyed, heart warm as the sound of your voice echoed back to the galley. Robin chuckled behind her hand, winking when Nami caught her eye. Nami blushed deeper and, flustered, got up to chase after you.
After that, she really set out to hide the gifts you brought her, tucking them between books and pans. Your search grew to be a calm sort of game. You would be lying in a hammock by Nami’s side, her reading a book aloud, when you lazily pointed to the bookshelf and murmured, “There’s the blue one I got last week.”
The whole crew even joined in after a while, and a board was set up in the galley to tally the scores. Even after four months of the treasure hide-and-seek, you came out on top with the most finds, and if someone dared to come close to taking your title? Well, you reminded them that you have two rows of razor-sharp teeth, and suddenly you were champion once again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SANJI Sanji treasures each and every gift you bring him, to the point where his nose starts to bleed every other trinket. He doesn’t love the gifts a normal amount, okay. He will set them up all over the kitchen and randomly point them out to anyone nearby.
“Look at that one! She had to have dove down so many depths to get it. Ah~”
“Mosshead, get your slimy, bottom-feeder hands away from my seashells.”
Everyone knew to treat your gifts to Sanji with immense care, and that fact sent a wave of pride through your heart. You sat at the kitchen counter watching him cook, lining up the shells just to admire them, every once in a while making them into the shape of a heart and sending him into cardiac arrest.
Oh, but the gift he’s most proud of? It’s the one he wears round his neck every single day.
The first pearl you brought him was a small thing, around the size of a pinky, and you handed it to him shyly while saying you couldn’t find a bigger one to display. Sanji barely breathed, rolling it in his palm and just thinking of how lucky he is to have you, that you would dive down into the sea just to find him the most beautiful treasures.
Yes, it was part of your culture, so part of this was customary to you, but after each of his lovely reactions your gift-giving grew into more of a habit of the heart, eyes always peeled for any trinket Sanji might enjoy. So when you noticed how he held the pearl with such care, the milky white of it looking so nice against his palm, you got an idea.
Every single morning for the next two months you gathered pearl after pearl, keeping them in a little box under your bed. Sneakily, you even managed to take the original pearl from the ring box Sanji kept it in. The scare it gave him when he awoke, turned to his bed table, and his prized gift from his lovely mermaid was missing?? He was inconsolable, so much so that you rushed to give him his gift a day earlier, giggling as you cut off his apologies.
“It’s okay,” you beamed, handing him a small paper wrapped object. “I think this will fix it.”
You bounced on your heels as Sanji sat down at the counter and delicately handled the paper, revealing the pearl necklace within. For the longest moment, he said nothing at all, only staring down at it blankly. You ducked to catch more of his expression, worrying your lip between your teeth. “Do you like it?”
Sanji’s lips ticked upward, eyes holding so much affection you could feel it hit you as he raised his gaze. “I love it. Thank you, my love.”
You couldn’t hold back the magnitude of your smile, reached to help him put it on. As soon as the cool pearls hit his skin, he felt a sense of wholeness only you could explain. He ran a finger over the necklace, wiping away a trail of blood with his wrist, and turned to take you in his arms.
From that day forth, he never took the necklace off.
Sanji never wasted a moment he could show it off, unbuttoning the tops of his shirts so it was more visible. You were more than pleased by this, hanging off his arm as you swept through markets, casting every admiring woman a lethal glare before reaching to toy with the pearls around his neck.
Let’s just say the gift satisfied a more possessive part of your nature you did your best to hide from your lover.

Shanks
The Red-Haired Pirates landed on an island under their protection and decided to stay awhile to plan their next move. Last night, the crew partied hard celebrating their recent successes. The next morning the crew slept late and then ventured onto the island to start the next round of celebratory drinking. You, a member of the Red-Haired Pirates, were not quite ready to start partying again after the craziness of the previous night. Your Captain also chose to stay aboard the ship a while longer to nurse his killer hangover.
It was mid-afternoon when you wandered out from your cabin. As you creaked the door to the ship deck, the harsh sun met your eyes. You moaned in distress and covered your face with your hand and stepped out onto the deck. You took a deep breath and adjusted to the feeling of the warm summer sun soaking the exposed skin that your sundress failed to cover. The salty air helped relax some of the tension in your body from your hangover-caused headache. You wandered the ship deck looking out at the ocean and taking in the sights of the nearby island. As you glanced further up the deck, you noticed your captain sleepily resting face-first in a lawn chair. You chuckled at the sight of him. He slightly lifted his head to gaze at you over his shoulders as he heard your gentle footsteps grow close.
“Hey, Y/N. How are you feeling?” Shanks asked before burying his face back in his arm on the lawn chair.
“I’ve been better.” You replied as you rubbed your fingers on your forehead, then through your hair. “How are you, Captain?” You asked as you sat down at the edge of the lawn chair beside him.
“Been better is an understatement. Who’s idea was it to let me drink so much last night?”
“Oh, that would be no one’s, but your own.” You replied with a soft chuckle.
“The boys are already out at it again. They should be expecting us soon.”
“I’m not sure I'm ready for that.” You added as you stared over at the island beyond your ship.
“Me neither,” Shanks mumbled. “One of the local women did give me what they claimed was a hangover cure. We could try it to see if it works.” He replied as he raised his head just enough to peak up at you.
You looked over at him and smirked. He smiled back at you. As you thought about his offer you studied the man beside you. His white button-up shirt blew in the wind over his back. His red hair messily lay across his face to hide his eyes from the sun. He and his dumb white shirts were all you could think about late at night. His white shirts showed his exposed chest and only helped emphasize his muscular build. You couldn’t help but be attracted to Shanks. He was strong, kind, and a good leader. You found him very down to earth for someone of his standing as an emperor of the sea and former member of Roger’s crew. However, he was your captain, and you occasionally thought you saw a twinkle in his eye when he looked at you. You knew nothing could come of it as you were one of his subordinates. He told you as much when he allowed you to join his crew. Your recruitment was conditional based on your not sleeping with any of your crewmates. You’d rolled your eyes at him at the time, but your mind too often raced with the thoughts of the fun you could have with your captain. You breathed deeply and closed your eyes, before turning to face Shanks again.
“I’d try anything at this point.” You said through gritted teeth as you fought to see him through squinted eyes in the bright sun.
“Good. You can try it first and tell me if it works.” Shanks said as he quickly sat up. He paused before rising from the chair to bring a hand to his now-pounding head.
“Try it first?!” You yelled as you tried to stifle a laugh as you watched your captain struggle with the consequences of his drinking choices. “You good, Captain?” You asked.
“Yeah. Just got up too fast.” He replied, removing his hand from his face and blinking his eyes slowly. “I’ll go get it.”
He got up slowly from the lawn chair and found his way to his cabin, stumbling occasionally along the way. You stayed sitting on the lawn chair, closing your eyes to focus on the sound of the waves. The sounds helped soothe your aching head. A few minutes later clunking footsteps returned to your side and you opened your eyes to see Shanks handing you a bottle. You took it and studied the green bottle, the liquid inside appeared clear, but bubbly.
“What is it?” You asked as you hesitantly took off the lid and sniffed it. The liquid smelled of roses and vanilla.
“Don’t know. Like I said, a local handed it to me last night. She said it was a hangover cure. She told me to try it and let her know if it helps.” Shanks replied as he stared at you with raised eyebrows.
“Smells too sweet to be a hangover cure. You try it first.”
“No way! I like to cure my hangovers the old-fashioned way. You look rough though. I thought this could help.” Shanks said with a kind grin.
“I look rough?” You asked with a furrowed brow and pouting lips as you took a swig of the mysterious liquid.
“No. I mean. You look… I mean...I can tell you’re hungover.” Shanks stumbled over himself as he rubbed the back of his head. “How is it?”
You laughed as you looked up at him and took another sip. “Not bad. Just too sweet for me. Probably won't be able to finish it, but my stomach is a bit calmer.” You replied. “Thanks.”
The two of you talked for a bit. You finished most of the bottle before you grew tired of the taste. Your headache felt better, but the heat bothered you a little more. Shanks eventually went to his chambers to lie down for a bit and you returned to your cabin to grab a book and read. You knew you’d inevitably have to spend another wild night with your crew, so you decided to relax.
As you tried to focus on reading in your cabin, you realized the heat was still getting to you. Now, out of the way of the sun, you knew something else was going on. You pondered if it was just a side effect of your hangover. You’d never had one as intense as the one you’d experienced this morning and could only attribute it to the intensity of your celebration. Focusing on your book became harder as your body became restless. Your heart started to race as sweat beads formed on your brow. Your fingertips grazed your forehead to wipe the sweat. As you did, your breath stopped in your chest. You remembered the odd beverage Shanks had given to you. You feared you may have been allergic to something in it and grew nervous. You slowly and shakily rose from your bed and exited your cabin to find Shanks. A quick look around the deck resulted in no sign of your captain or your crew. You remembered Shanks had gone to his cabin to cool off and rest. You headed into the interior of the ship to find him.
Upon arriving at his chambers you hesitated, wondering if it was worth bothering your severely hungover Captain. You wiped your wet brow again and shivered at your touch. You exhaled sharply. Something was wrong with you, and you needed help. You bit your lip and shifted on your feet, clenching your thighs together. The warmth was oddly mostly in between your legs and in your abdomen. Though you felt hot everywhere, why was the heat greatest there, you couldn’t help but wonder. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath before softly knocking on the door to your captain’s cabin.
“Shanks?” You called out with a hard swallow before your teeth returned to digging into your lower lip.
“Hmm?” A voice mumbled as you heard shuffling heavy footsteps headed to the door.
The door opened and a shirtless Shanks stood in the door frame. He rubbed his still-heavy eyelids and looked at you. He blinked hard a few times and turned his head to examine you. As he looked at you, you shifted in place and wiped your forehead again. You could feel the pink hue on your cheeks as he stared at you. The heat between your legs grew as you lifted your gaze from his feet, over his naked chest, and up to meet his intense stare.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Shanks questioned as he stepped forward to grab your waist as you stumbled where you stood.
You bit your lip harder, stifling a moan as his strong calloused hand moved to rest upon the open back of your dress. You swallowed hard as you lifted your eyes to meet his. His warm breath hit your chest, causing goosebumps to shoot up your spine. You looked at him through your eyelashes and suddenly, you found it hard to catch your breath.
“I think I may have been allergic to... To something in that drink…” You muttered as you lifted your hands to his shoulders to steady yourself.
Your hands shook as they connected with your captain’s muscular physique. You licked your lips and swallowed hard. Feeling the heat continue to grow between your legs, you rubbed your legs together as your hands slid down his chest. As your hands rested on his pecks, you realized what was happening.
“I’m fine. I just. Maybe I need to lie down for a bit.” You said with a gulp.
“No, You’re not. I’ll fetch a doctor. Here rest. I’ll see if anyone has come back yet.” Shanks said as he picked you up and carried you into his room.
His strong hand on your bare legs caused you to moan again. You tried to hide it, but you knew as the drink worked more of its magic, you were becoming weaker by the second to its tricks. The aphrodisiac in that drink was consuming your being. You felt you only had moments to act before your chest exploded with need, the need to be touched. The need to please the feral growl aching between your legs sang louder. You nodded to Shanks as he laid you down on the bed.
“I’ll be right back,” Shanks called as he anxiously ran out of the room.
You knew you only had a short amount of time. You finally knew what your symptoms were. You knew how to satisfy them. Satisfy the need. You only hoped you could do it before your captain came back. You couldn’t think clearly about the consequences or the embarrassment if you couldn’t. All you could think of was the need. You had to touch yourself.
You wiped your brow with your right hand and licked your lips. You delicately traced your fingers down your neck until your fingertips met the soft tissue of your breast. You began pulling at the neckline of your dress, the heat within you made you feel as if your small sundress was too much. As the fabric moved it grazed your erect nipples, sending a chill throughout your body. Your breath grew shallow and quick as one hand played with your breasts and removed them from the thin fabric of your dress. The heat between your legs beckoned louder as your other hand traveled down the soft fabric across your abdomen. Your hands stopped at the hem of your dress and rested upon your thigh.
Your thumb and forefinger squeezed and twisted at your nipple causing a small moan to escape your lips. Your eyes closed and you laid your head back into Shanks’ pillow. The fingers of your right hand now drew circles upon your inner thigh as they inched closer and closer to your core. You bit your lower lip and hooked your pinky and ring finger around the string of your thong, pulling it down to your ankles. The cold air on your soaking wet core caused your breath to catch in your throat. Your fingers slid back up your legs to your core where they became mesmerized in tracing the shape of your slick sex. You bent your knees, placing your feet flat and wide on the bed beneath you. You clamped down as your fingertips brushed against your clit.
As you played with yourself, one hand on your breast the other at your core, the need to touch yourself from the sex pollen consuming you, the world around you faded away. Drool dripped down your chin as your teeth dug deeper into your bottom lip. Sweet moans escaped your lips as your fingers dipped into and stared scissoring in and out of your entrance. Finally, caving to the feral need within you, you didn’t notice the footsteps or the voice calling.
“Y/N, everyone is still gone. I’ll go ashore and get…” The voice began from down the hall but stopped as its owner found himself at the entrance to the bedroom.
Shanks stopped dead in his tracks just outside the room. Before him was you in the bed where he left you, only you were in a new state. Soft moans were filling his ears as you lay half-naked with your fingers pounding in and out of your core. Your eyes were closed and your head was back against his pillow. Your hips ground to meet your palm. His breath caught in his chest as he watched you with wide eyes. He gulped hard and stepped into the room, saying your name louder this time.
“Y/N.” Shanks said.
Your eyes shot open, your ring and middle fingers still deep in your core. Your hips stopped mid-buck. Your breathing stopped completely as you lifted your head from the pillow to look at the man standing at the end of the bed. His dark eyes met yours, pausing to examine the dark red hue upon your cheeks.
“Shanks.” You begged with a hard swallow. “There... There was sex pollen in that drink.” You stuttered out through blinking eyes.
“What?” He asked with furrowed brows.
“Captain.” You began as you opened your eyes wider and looked him up and down. “I need…. I need help.” You begged again as you licked your lips and panted through a long blink.
“Help? What?” Shanks replied, a pink hue growing deeper upon his face.
“Please, Captain. I know.” You swallowed hard and nodded your head. “I know your rules, but please, my fingers aren’t enough.” You said as you removed your fingers from your entrance and sat up on your elbows. “Shanks fuck me.”
Shanks stared at you in awe. Your thoughts were clouded by the aphrodisiac, which drove you to be so forward. Your heart raced as you stared at him. You were embarrassed by the situation, but you needed your needs met or you felt like you’d die. He took a deep breath and lowered his arm to the buttons of his white shirt. Your gaze fell to the waist of his pants, where you noticed a bulge growing beneath the fabric of his patterned trousers. A smile grew across your lips.
“I suppose.” He started to speak. “I suppose I did give you that drink. I promise I didn’t know what it was. I’ve heard of sex pollen, so if you want my help… As your captain, I will serve you. Truth be told, I’ve always wanted to.” He replied as he finished undoing the last button of his shirt. He lifted his chin, so his eyes met your gaze.
“Please, Captain. I need you.” You moaned as you clenched down at nothing but the thought of him preparing to enter you.
He unbuttoned his pants and slowly pulled them down, letting them hit the floor at the foot of the bed. Your eyes fell to his pelvis where his member sprung out in front of him. You swallowed hard as you stared at it. It was larger than you could have imagined and you weren’t sure how you were going to take all of him. All you knew was that you needed him. He crawled on the bed and straddled you. His length hit the top of your core as he positioned himself over you. You laid your head back on the pillow that rested behind you. He used his arm to remove the dress from your waist and took a moment to take in the site of your naked body.
“Damn, Y/N. You’re beautiful.”
“Shanks, I need you.” You cooed as your hands traced the shape of his muscles on his chest.
“As you wish, my dear,” Shanks said as he positioned the pink tip of his erect member at the entrance of your core.
You rested your palms flat on his chest as he gently pushed his large head into your entrance. You closed your eyes and spread your legs farther. You focused on the feeling of his veiny length as he entered deeper into you. When he was a third of the way in you couldn’t help but clench down and moan at your newfound fullness. He pushed into you until he was almost filling you. Then he leaned over and put an arm on the bed next to your head. You put your arms around his neck and took a moment to breathe and adjust to him within you. You closed your eyes. He stared at your breasts and watched the rise and fall of your chest as your hips began to wiggle against his length.
“You feel so good around me. So tight for me.” He whispered in your ear.
“Shanks…” You said through blinking eyes.
“Are you ready to take me like the good girl you are?”
You nodded your head against his cheek. His length backed out of you and paused at your entrance. You whined as you clenched at the emptiness and your hips writhed at the need to be filled again growing within you. Shanks chuckled to himself, then slammed his length into you. He thrust in and out of you causing his bed to rock against the wall of his cabin. You moaned as his tongue met your breasts and he continued to slam into you.
“Shanks!” You yelled as he thrust into you again, causing your eyes to cross.
“So needy for me, you forget who I am. Who am I?” He quickened his pace.
“Captain. Yes. Captain. Yes!” You yelled as Shanks one-handedly lifted your hips from the bed, to enter you further.
With his next slam, his balls slapped against your pelvis. You moaned and a low growl escaped his lips. Drool dribbled down your chin. Your legs went limp beneath you. The new position allowed his length to slam against your cervix, sending a new shooting sensation within you. His length was perfectly stroking your g-spot as he railed you. The heat filled your abdomen.
“Captain gonna…”
“Me too. Scream my name.”
Shanks thrust faster and faster until fireworks exploded within you.
“Shanks! YES!” You yelled as your body shook beneath him.
Your juices dripped from your entrance as Shanks continued to plunge in and out of you through your ecstasy. He gripped your waist tighter as his member twitched within you. A new warmth filled within you as his juices filled you. He moaned through clenched teeth. You panted as the two of you stayed interconnected, recovering from your highs. Your legs still shaking slightly, you wiped your forehead and raised a hand to tuck a piece of hair behind his cheek. He opened his eyes and smiled at you as he caught his breath.
Shanks removed himself from between your legs and you immediately missed the fullness of him. He took a deep breath and inched his way up the bed until his face was next to yours. A smirk grew across his face as his warm breath hit your cheek. His eyes flicked from meeting yours to your wet lips. He licked his lips and gently pressed them to yours. You closed your eyes and pressed your soft lips against his firm ones. Your lips parted and he fell beside you on the bed.
“Thank you.” You mustered out between breaths.
“Why did we wait so long?”
“You had a rule?”
“Thank goodness rules were meant to be broken. You are incredible.”
“Y/N. Captain. Where are you? It’s time to party!” Lucky Roo yelled from the main deck of the ship.
“Shit,” Shanks said as he jumped from the bed and tossed his pants on.
“Get rid of them fast. This isn’t out of my system yet.” You called.
“Oh, I’m not going anywhere. Don’t let me find you in the state I did earlier, that’s your Captain’s territory now. Be right back.” He said with a wink as he tossed on his white button-up and headed out the door.
Luffy
You and your crew had just landed on a new island. You paired off and were all ready and excited to explore. Today, you were teamed with your captain, Luffy. After you went and found some food to eat and a bit of trouble, you and Luffy bumped into Sanji. Sanji was flirting with a woman and bragging about some spectacular dessert he had been working on for the ladies in your crew. Sanji had come ashore only to find one last ingredient for the topping. Luffy overheard this and only heard about the desert in the fridge. He grabbed your hand and dragged you back to the ship, where he tried to find a way to pry the locked fridge open. Yes, you were assigned to keep him out of trouble, but Luffy’s food antics with Sanji always amused you too greatly for you to stand in the way.
During your excursion with Luffy, you found a unique chocolate shop and bought a bar of chocolate with raspberry filling. The proprietor had spoken about the notable abilities of the chocolate from the section in which you chose your chocolate bar. However, you were too busy prying Luffy out of the extra-milk milk chocolate fountain to hear what they said.
Now, you grew hungry watching Luffy work at the fridge lock, so you decided to try your chocolate bar. He also grew hungry as he heard the crinkle of your chocolate bar wrapper. He then chased you around the ship trying to steal it until you eventually swallowed the chocolate bar to prevent your captain from getting it.
After the chocolate bar debacle, Luffy returned to the fridge and you sat at the kitchen table watching him and reading a magazine. As you flipped through the pages of your magazine you noticed the room began to grow very warm. You wiped beads of sweat from your face and your mouth grew dry. You stood up from your seat and walked to a cabinet to grab a glass of water. As you reached into the cabinet above your head for a glass your shirt lifted from your abdomen. The cool sensation of the air on your exposed skin gave you goosebumps.
You filled your glass and brought the smooth glass rim to your lips. As you sipped, you felt the heat move down your body. You wiped your forehead and shifted where you stood. A loud crash from Luffy’s attempts to open the fridge beside you caught your attention. You swiveled your head and looked at your captain. His sleeves were rolled up, exposing his biceps, and his teeth clenched as he launched himself back at the locked fridge door. You swallowed hard as you watched his muscles flex as he pulled at the lock mechanism.
A dizzying sensation now electrified your body. The heat intensified in your abdomen and between your legs. You reached for the counter to ensure you wouldn’t fall. You blinked trying to regain your composure as you stared at your captain. Your breathing changed, catching Luffy’s attention. As he looked up at you he noticed a red hue across your cheeks.
“Y/N, are you alright?” Luffy questioned as he hung off the fridge lock.
“I’m fine… I.” You said as you wiped another bead of sweat from your forehead.
Luffy jumped to his feet and walked over to you. You wobbled where you stood and you blinked your eyes shut. He raised the back of his palm to his forehead. His touch sent shockwaves throughout your body. A small moan escaped your lips. Your eyes shot open and you stepped back from Luffy’s hand. Something was wrong and Luffy knew it. Luffy turned his head at the noise you made. He lowered his hand from your face and studied you for a moment. Your eyes fell from meeting his dark ones to his toned chest. The heat between your legs grew. You recognized the need building within you. You started to squirm. You felt the wetness between your legs as your thighs rubbed together. You brought a hand to your mouth and raised your eyebrows. You stepped back from Luffy, his brows furrowed.
“I’m going to go lay down.” You said as you bowed to him and ran off to your room.
Luffy watched you bump into a chair and the table as you quickly tried to exit the kitchen. He rubbed the top of his head as he watched you fumble with the doorknob and leave the room, the door slamming behind you. He knew something was wrong, but he didn’t know what.
You pulled the door to your bedroom shut behind you and leaned your back against the door. Your breathing was quick and your entire body felt like it was to explode. You couldn’t believe Luffy barely touching you made you feel so good, made you moan. You knew that chocolate… the unique ingredient for that one dumb bar you chose, had to be sex pollen. You fell to your knees and your legs spread wide on the floor. Your eyes darted back and forth as you tried to think of what to do. The feral need between your legs grew and caused your entire body to ache to be touched. Dirty thoughts filled your brain.
Your crew was gone and hopefully, Luffy was too oblivious to realize what was going on. He probably wouldn’t check on you either, he would probably keep working at opening the fridge lock. You had read about sex pollen, appeasing the need was the only way to curb the feeling. The feeling, the heat within you was intense, you felt like your body would explode if you didn’t give it what it craved. You threw off your clothes and crawled under your covers. The friction of your bedspread caused another soft moan to escape your lips as you laid it over you.
You swallowed hard and took a deep breath, then gave in to the need. Your fingertips traced up and down the shape of your body before gliding to your erect nipples. There, they twisted and flicked causing your knees to bend inward. A moan escaped your lips. You raised a finger to your mouth and licked it before dragging it back down to your sensitive buds. You licked your lips as you continued to play with your plump breasts and perky nipples.
Heat and wetness grew between your legs and you knew your nipple play wasn’t enough. You craved more. Your eyes closed and you licked your lips. Your hands slid down your abdomen to your inner thighs, pulling the bedspread that covered you with it. Your thumbs brushed the top of your core. The world around you drifted away, as you focused on the dance of your fingertips and the cool air on your exposed breasts. Your right pointer and middle finger found your clit and drew shapes upon it. Another moan escaped your lips as your legs bent and straightened beneath your touch.
“Y/N.” A voice at the end of your bed spoke.
“Luffy!” Your eyes shot open and you removed the hand from between your legs to pull the bedspread over you.
You breathed hard and fast as you stared at your captain. Your body wiggled uncontrollably with need under the bedspread. You licked your lips again and swallowed hard. You tried to think of what to say to your captain, but you were focused on one thing.
“Luffy.. The chocolate.” You stuttered out. “It made me… made me sick. Now I have to...I have to help myself get better.” You swallowed hard again. “So help me… or get out.”
He stared at you blankly and blinked a few times. Your head fell back into the pillow behind you. You couldn’t take it anymore. The middle fingers of your left hand traced up your thigh and raised to rub at your slick. The fingers of your right hand returned to teasing your clit. Your eyes closed as your legs widened apart. You let out a slow controlled breath as your body rocked up and down.
A weight pushed your upper arms further into the mattress, pulling your hands from your core. Your eyes shot open as you lifted your head from the pillow. Luffy was straddling your abdomen and pushing your arms into the bed, preventing you from playing with yourself. His head was tilted down, so his hat casted a shadow over his eyes. Your eyebrows raised as you stared at him on top of you.
“Luffy.” You begged through a shaky breath.
“Help you how?” He asked, still not lifting his chin.
“Touch me. Eat Me. Fuck me. Luffy I need…” You continued to beg as you wiggled beneath him. “Captain, I need…”
He only pushed your arms deeper down into the mattress. Your tongue slid through your pressed-together lips. You laid your head back and closed your eyes. Your breathing was rapid and short. Luffy’s hand let go of your wrist. As you looked back up at him, he took off his hat and set it on the nightstand beside you. His eyes met yours, his pupils were pinpoint, his jaw clenched, and his brows furrowed. He nodded at you and returned his hand to your wrist.
“I’ll help you. I could use a snack.” Luffy said sternly as he sat back on the bed and repositioned between your legs.
“Luffy…” You said as your eyebrows raised and your lips fell agape.
You’d always been interested in your captain, but you didn’t know how he felt about you. Sure, he put his arms around you more than Nami and Robin, but Luffy was a touchy-feely guy, so you didn’t think much of it. The man had Boa Hancock begging at his feet and he didn’t act. You thought he just wasn’t capable. With two older brothers and two years with Silvers Rayleigh, you had hoped Luffy knew what sex was. You’d wanted to have sex with him many times, you had desired to kiss him many times, but you were too afraid. Now, here was your captain pulling off the blanket that covered your naked body and positioning his face in front of your sex.
Luffy licked his lips as he stared at your entrance. His hands clamped down tighter on your wrists. A smile grew across his face as his eyes flicked up to connect with yours. His tongue licked from the base of your core to your bundle of nerves causing your knees to bend inward.
“LUFFY.” You moaned.
He used his legs to pry yours apart and keep them open as he continued to trace your slick with his tongue. You clenched down as his tongue traced shapes on your clit as your legs fought against his. Luffy’s licks intensified a moment, then slowed. Your eyes blinked closed, your head tucked further into the pillow behind you. Luffy knew what he was doing.
“You taste so good, beautiful.” He said between your folds.
“Cap-captain. Luffy. Please!” You begged for more.
His tongue lapped at your wet folds and circled at your entrance a moment before returning to teasing your clit. The heat began to grow within you. Luffy’s hands loosened from your wrists and slid up your abdomen to your breasts. He caressed the bases of your breasts as his tongue slid down your slick to your entrance. His fingertips teased your sensitive nipples as his tongue stretched and dove within your entrance.
“Luf-fy.” You muttered out as drool dripped down the side of your mouth.
Luffy’s tongue stretched and teased your G-spot. He let out a moan as he took another taste of you. The heat built within your core as your teeth bit deeper into your bottom lip. Your legs continued to fight against him. Your hands fell to his head and your fingers curled in his black locks.
“Luffy. Gonna cum.” You whispered as your hips thrut into his face.
“You’re beautiful. Let go for me.” He commanded sternly.
His left hand left your breast and started rubbing fervently at your clit. His tongue returned to your entrance where it slid back inside of you. It pounded and rubbed energetically at your G-spot. The heat in your abdomen exploded. Fireworks shot from within you and trailed across your body. Your legs shook and your toes curled. Your juices squirted out and covered Luffy’s tongue and chin.
“LUFFY. YES. YES. YES CAP-TAIN.” You screamed as your eyes squeezed tighter shut.
His hand continued at your clit and his tongue licked you clean until you came down from your high.  You loosened your grip on his hair and moved your hands to his back. His head rose from between your legs and he scooted up the bed to lay beside you. He rested on his side facing you. He watched as you tried to catch your breath and recover from the pleasure he brought you. He was mesmerized by the rise and fall of your breasts. As your eyes blinked open, you caught him staring and turned your head to smile at him. His eyes lifted to meet yours.
“Thank you, Luffy.” You said between pants.
“Feeling better?”
“I think so. But…”
“Hmm..? He questioned as he sat up more in the bed.
“That was amazing, but I may need more before this is out of my system.”
A grin grew across Luffy’s face.
“Good. I wasn’t done with you yet. I still have a lot I want to try.”
Law
You and your crew, the Heart Pirates, landed on a new island. You set off with Bepo, Penguin, Ikakku, and Shachi, ready to explore. Your captain stayed aboard the ship to reorganize the medical bay. He tasked you with picking up some groceries while you were away. You and your crewmates grabbed some lunch and then strolled through a market.
At the market, you and Ikkaku stopped to sniff at a perfumery to sniff perfumes. The stall vendor had stepped away as you browsed. You found and picked up a pretty bottle from a raised pedestal. You Noticed a warning label on it, but the warning was smudged. You took the cap off and smelled it. You were enraptured by its scent. It smelled of gardenia, rose, and vanilla. You described it to Ikakku, who only grimaced in response to your description because she hated floral-scented things. You took another deep sniff of the scent.
Penguin and Shachi called to hurry you along. They’d found a fresh vegetable stall for you to pick up the groceries Law requested. You replaced the cap on the bottle and set it back on its pedestal. Stepping back from the stall, you adjusted the bag on your shoulder and headed off to find your crewmates.
At the vegetable stand, you pulled out the list Law gave you and picked the ingredients he requested. Your crewmates ditched you for a nearby fried seafood stall. As you paid, a new wave of warmth overtook you. Your head suddenly felt very hot and light-headed. As you took the bag of ingredients from the shopkeeper, you felt restless. You wiped your forehead as you headed to the nearby stall to meet your crewmates. You arrived, groceries in hand, brows furrowed, as you tried to analyze how you felt. The warmth pooled in your stomach and made you feel a bit nauseous.
“Y/N, are you feeling okay?” Ikkaku asked as she stared at you wide-eyed.
“I don’t know. Maybe I’ve been in the heat too long.” You replied as you shifted where you stood.
“Your cheeks are pretty red and you look pale. Maybe you should head back to the sub and have Captain check you out.”
“I’m sure, I’m-” You started to speak as the heavy heat spread across your body again.
You stumbled, but Ikakku caught you. You looked up at her and gave her a soft smile. The wind blew past you as you took a deep breath. You stood tall and clutched your grocery bag closer to your chest.
“Maybe you’re right. I’ll head back to the sub.”
“Want us to walk you?” Penguin and Shachi asked.
“No thanks, I’ll be fine.”
As you walked yourself back to the sub, your symptoms got worse. You couldn’t stop licking your lips and occasionally had to stop to catch your breath, rubbing your thighs together as you did. When you reached the sub, you swung the door open, it creaked. You headed to the galley and started unpacking the groceries. You repeatedly had to wipe your forehead as you did. You continued to restlessly rub your thighs together as you placed the groceries in their homes throughout the kitchen. Law entered the doorway to the kitchen and stared at you with his head turned.
“Y/N. Are you feeling alright?”
You placed the two tomatoes in your hand on the counter. You leaned over and griped at the counter for stability. You shook your head in his direction, squeezing your eyes and your legs shut. Your breathing was short and quick as you lifted your chin and opened your eyes to face your captain. Your cheeks still had a pink hue resting on them. You licked your lips as you stared at him. His jaw clenched.
“Come to the medical bay, I’ll check you out.”
You released your grip on the counter and headed to the doorway where your captain stood. You were still a bit wobbly on your feet, but when Law reached out to assist you, you shook your head and raised a hand. You walked past him and headed down the corridor to the medical bay. Your arms crossed over your waist, your fists clenched as you walked. You focused on taking slow deep breaths as you entered the medical bay and sat on the patient bed raised into a seated position. Your hands fell to your lap and gripped at the hem of your skirt.
Law pulled a stool up to you and grabbed a thermometer and stethoscope off the counter. He put the thermometer under your tongue. You closed your eyes waiting for it to beep signifying the reading was done. You swallowed hard as Law felt your wrist for your pulse. His calloused fingertips grazing your soft skin made you let out a soft hum in pleasure. You furrowed your brows and blinked your eyes open to half-lididly gaze at Law. Your breathing was still shallow. The thermometer beeped.
“Pulse is fast, temperature is just a bit high, but nothing to be concerned about. Let me listen.”
Law placed the head of the stethoscope between his middle and ring finger. He stood up from the stool and set it on your back against your button-up shirt. You did your best to take a deep breath as he moved the stethoscope around to listen to your lungs. Then, he moved to stand in front of you. He opened the front of your button-up shirt a bit more and set the cool head of his stethoscope on your upper chest. Another soft hum escaped your lips. He moved the stethoscope around your chest and you did your best to take deep breaths. When he finished, he stepped back from you and removed the stethoscope from his ears, putting it back on the counter.
“What are your symptoms?” He asked as he stared at you.
“I… I feel hot all over, but especially in my abdomen. It’s almost nausea, but not. I’m restless like my body needs to do something or… I don’t know. I’ll explode? I’m tired, but I’m wide awake and my heart is racing. Law, what’s wrong with me?” You asked, looking at him and swallowing hard.
“Let me look something up,” Law said as he stepped out of the room to his office.
You leaned back in your seat. Your body felt hot everywhere like you were wearing too many clothes. You unbuttoned your button-up shirt figuring Law had seen you in a bikini, what was the difference between that and a bra anyway? Your hands fumbled with the hem of your skirt and raised it, so it covered just your upper thigh and sex. You rubbed a hand down your neck and upper chest, closing your eyes as you did, releasing a heavy exhale.
“What did you do today?” Law called from the next room as you overheard him rifling through pages of a book.
“Umm.” You hummed as you brought your hands back to your sides and gripped the cushion beneath you. “I had some lunch, then strolled through jewelry and clothing stalls. I tried to keep Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin out of trouble. I smelled some perfume at a perfume stall. Then, I went and got the groceries you wanted.” You stated with a hard swallow as you stared up at the ceiling.
The book slammed shut and you heard footsteps in his office.
“What kind of perfume did you smell?” Law asked.
“I don’t know, it was floral. It.. It did have a weird label on it, I couldn’t make out.”
You heard the rifling of pages of another book. Your hips wiggled where you sat. You couldn’t take it anymore. The only thing making you feel better was fingertips gliding across your skin, whether yours or someone else's. You rubbed your thighs together and brought your right hand to your chest. You exhaled as your fingers brushed across your cleavage, legs still wiggling beneath you. Another book shut and footsteps grew nearer to you. You lifted your left hand from the cushion and squeezed your knee. You opened your legs wide and took a hard deep breath. Your thumb rubbed circles on your inner thigh. You clenched down at the sensation. You gasped and your eyes shot open to face the ceiling above you. You lifted your head and your eyes met Law’s grey-gold ones, where he stood in the doorway between his office and the medical bay.
The pink shade across your cheeks turned darker red. You licked your lips and gulped. He took a deep breath and set down the book in his hand on the counter next to him. He stared at you blankly with a clenched jaw.
You had always found your Captain attractive, always wondered what those tattooed fingers would feel like gliding across your curves. He was your captain and you knew he would never let anything happen between the two of you. However, that never stopped him from gazing at you too long when he thought you weren’t looking, eyeing your body whenever you stepped outside your boiler suit.
“Captain.” You said with a whimper in your voice.
Here you were, sitting in front of him, legs open wide, just enough so he could make out the cloth of your panties. Shirt unbuttoned exposing your bra-clad breasts. Your hand was halfway up your thigh and gripping it tightly. Your hips restlessly rocking with need. He’d never seen you look more beautiful than you were then.
“Captain. I-...” You started.
“I know. You were exposed to sex pollen. Now you can’t help…” He swallowed hard as he stared at you. “But need to touch yourself.” He replied as he looked down at the floor in front of him.
Your eyes shot wide open and your jaw dropped.
“Captain, please.”
Law’s gaze shot up to meet yours. You sat upright and removed your hands from your chest and thigh. His eyebrows furrowed and his teeth clenched tighter as he looked at you.
“Captain, please. I don’t have a lot of practice. I–I feel like I’m going to burst. Can you help me? Please.” You said with a gulp.
His breath caught in his throat as he thought over what you just said to him. His eyes lowered to the rise and fall of your chest, rise and fall over your breasts. A smile grew across his face.
“It is a Captain’s job to serve his crew.” He said as he took a step towards you.
You exhaled deeply. Law sat on the stool in front of your raised seat. His eyes stared up into yours, the grin still plastered on his face. Your tongue stroked your top lip as your eyes darted to stare at his lips. Law sat forward and whispered in your ear. His hot breath on your neck made you let out a soft moan.
“Since the day you joined this crew, I’ve watched you stare at my hands. Today I’ll give you what you’ve always wanted… them inside you.”
“Please. Captain.” You begged through shaky breaths.
You gasped as his lips hit your neck and his hands met your knees. You moaned as his lips trailed down your neck to bite your collarbone. His right hand slid up your inner thigh and rested at the hem of your folded skirt, just in front of your sex. You wrapped your arms around Law's neck and twirled your fingers in the base of his dark locks. His left hand lifted your breasts from their clothed cage. His head fell lower and paused in front of your now exposed breasts. You watched a wider grin form across his face as he stuck out his tongue. Wetness covered your chest as his tongue flicked at your erect buds. You began to pant as Law’s right hand traced your wet slit through the cloth between your legs.
“So wet for you captain. Can’t wait to feel you clench around my fingers.”
“Captain. Need you. Please!” You begged as you squirmed beneath his fingers still playing with your clothed sex.
Your head fell forward to rest on his shoulder. Law lifted you from your seat and pulled the cloth from between your legs. You breathed raggedly as his right hand teased your nipples and his left glided up your legs to meet your soaking wet core. His left hand fell from your breast to your waist. Your eyes blinked closed as his right hand traced up your slick and softly brushed your clit.. Your body wiggled beneath his touch.
“Law please.” You begged.
He pulled you closer to the edge of your seat before his thumb met your bundle of nerves. He rubbed circle after circle changing pressure and speed as he played with your clit. You moaned in his ear.
“Law.” You begged.
“I’m your captain, address me as such.”
“Captain… please. I need you inside me.”
“Such a slut for these fingers. Let's see you take them like the slut you are.”
Law’s thumb stopped teasing you as his ring and middle finger returned to your core. They separated as they toyed at your entrance. You clenched down and dug your fingers into his back. Your hips needily rocked at the edge of your seat as Law dipped his fingertips inside you. You moaned loudly as they pushed inside you. His fingers thrust in and out of you causing heat to begin to grow in your abdomen. Law tightened his grip on your waist and fought the forward pounding of your hips. He added a third finger and began rubbing his fingers upward at your g-spot.
“Yes. Captain. Yes! So close. Please.”
“Look at you begging for these fingers, begging to come undone. Such a slut for your captain. Be a good girl now, and cum for me.” He commanded as his thumb lifted to meet your clit, increasing the intensity at which he rubbed your g-spot.
Your fingers dug into his back and you couldn’t help, but throw your head back as the heat in your abdomen built to a crescendo. Your eyes crossed as drool dribbled down your bottom lip. Your hips fought against his hold.
“CAPTAIN!”
Your juices erupted from your entrance covering Law’s hands and your upper thighs. Your legs shook against him. His fingers continued to dance within your core as you descended from your high. You pressed your wet lips to his neck and rested your forehead on his shoulder. You worked at catching your breath as Law slowly withdrew his fingers from between your legs. You sat up and your eyes met his. He looked at his wet fingers and brought them to your lips. You sucked his fingers clean and moaned as he pushed them deep into your mouth.  He removed his fingers from your mouth and placed his lips softly on yours as his hands fell to your waist. Your fingers tangled in his hair as you opened your lips wider allowing your tongue to intertwine with his for a few moments. You pulled your lips apart and rested your forehead on his.
“Thank you, captain.” You whispered.
“How do you feel?” He questioned.
“Better, but I don’t think once was enough…”
“Good. Lay back,” he commanded.

Tumblr media
It's not enough to suddenly find herself locked in a box with 3 idiots she met a matter of hours ago, no; To make it worse, as it could not be otherwise, it turns out that she is in a bloody circus, ''kidnapped'' by a band of pirates that she recognizes as soon as she sees the red and white tent over their heads, the distressed faces of the poor people that make up the audience, and the costumes of the band around them.
She sighs, and wonders what the hell she's doing there despite knowing perfectly well what kind of decisions have led her to that damned place. Wanna know what happened? Let's recap, shall we?
(Y/N) (S/N). That name doesn't sound familiar, right? Very few know it but the reputation that accompanies the person who responds to it is very famous throughout the 4 seas. She is not a bounty hunter, nor a marine, neither a pirate or a pirate hunter, like the green-haired hottie with whom she finds herself in such trouble, or a thief, like the ginger who she bet, will escape running without looking back at the slightest opportunity she finds.
No, she's a mercenary. She doesn't work solely for money, otherwise she would go against the most bloodthirsty and ruthless of each sea, and that doesn'tt interest her, because she would put herself on the radar of both the pirates and the marines.
No, she is contacted through different channels, none of them direct, and if the job interests her, amuses her, or even piques her curiosity, she accept it. She goes after all kinds of people, whether they are pirates or marines, gangsters at the top of the terror scale or criminals who, like her, tried to keep a low profile.
However, and as we were saying, despite trying to remain anonymous, she is good at her job, a born strategist with an incredible facility to adapt and blend in with her surroundings to sneak into the most remote places, so her existence inevitably began to be noticed along the seas, rumors about this young mercenary with an angelic face, who only responded to her own morals and of whom few escaped to tell the tale.
And this is how she met that group of weirdos who found each others through the power of the plot's convenience; her last assignment was to steal the map from the Grand Line. There are not many, these kept safe and protected in large fortresses throughout the globe, and among all those that she could have tried to steal, she made the horrible decision of going for the one that was closest to her, encountering those three idiots in the crossfire of the disaster that unfolded in Shells Town.
How did she end up giving up the assignment and at that precise moment there, with them?  Simple: Luffy piqued her curiosity. And there are few things stronger than (Y/N)'s curiosity.
"Hey, I know you. I saw your wanted poster in Shells Town, you're the clown guy. Umm, uh… Binky, right?" Luffy exclaimed, as confident of himself as usual.
Buggy, she mentally corrected, arms crossed over her chest, rolling her eyes at the same time the clown corrected loudly and dramatically listed his many nicknames. Which she was sure, only he called himself.
''Wow, you have a lot of names. I bet everyone in the East Blue knows who you are.” The audience gasp. There's confusion in the boy's face, and an almost psychopatic tic in the clown's one. ''What did you just say?'' Buggy asks lowly. ''Just that everyone knows who you are.'' Luffy repeats.
''Nose!? Are you making fun of my nose!?’’
Then came the slap, like the one someone usually gives when a friend is trying to steal their food or touch something they definitely shouldn't. Buggy is killing the straw hat boy with his eyes but the gesture is so… innocent.  She expected threats with knives, to be honest.
And because of the unexpected, she almost let a laugh escape in the form of a cough but she controlled herself fast enough to not grab unnecessary attention to her.
''What's real is...'' Buggy resumes the conversation, getting some distance with Luffy to walk around the rest too.  ’’I’ve been scheming for months to steal that map from old Axe-Hand moron…’’ (Y/N) sees how he approaches her, but she didn't expect him to close the distance between each other so much, his nose almost touching her own, sharp blue eyes fixed on her from a slightly lower perspective. The truth is... that she also doesn't know how to tell if that nose is real or not, but now she really wants to touch it to find out. Dear God, what a realistic texture. It’s incredible.
Pressing her lips together in a contained expression as she shakes her head, she raises an eyebrow, letting him know that the joke wasn't as funny as he hoped, and he clucks, accepting defeat in such good humor that no one would say, that is a kidnapping and someone would end up dead by the end of the day.
She heard of him. His reward was not one of the highest but neither one of those that go unnoticed in the East Blue. He was also an eccentric, of course people talked about the blue-haired, red-nosed clown who terrified his victims in a macabre way. Those who survived ended up traumatized.
He is, or at least looks, younger than she imagined, and he fit right in with the urban legends of evil clowns kidnapping children and then dismembering them. She wonders, silently, thoughtful eyes scanning his face and body language from a distance, if this is some softie on the inside with high aspirations in life who was unfortunate enough to bump into someone who traumatized him and hence all this show and facade of the cruel and heartless clown -to protect himself as the good cliché he seems- or if, on the contrary, he is, simply and plainly, a yandere who craves attention no matter how he has to obtain it.
If she remembers correctly, there was also a rumor that he ate a devil fruit. Just like Luffy, which it doesn't take long for the clown to discover after Zoro tries to save the situation by showing off his reputation -obviously it doesn't work- and Nami does exactly what (Y/N) predicted. Not her fault, either, she doesn't owe any of them anything at all.
''Okay. Here ends the theatrics.’’ The lights go out and it’s then that everyone can small the disaster in the air. A chill runs down the back of (Y/N), who tends to infiltrate without being seen and avoids, whenever possible, a direct encounter; hand-to-hand combat is not exactly his specialty. And given the circumstances is impossible for her to know if the daggers she usually hides in the side of his combat boots -for emergencies like this one- are still there. ''I know one of you has my map, and I'm gonna get it back. What was it you said, Rubber Boy? That it was in a safe place?”
How long were they unconscious before? Enough to hijack the ship, get to land, and move 4 dead weight bodies to that circus, locking them in a box. By that point she would bet some member of the gang would have thoroughly searched the ship, and them too. Disgusting.
Buggy takes a last, attentive look at both Zoro and Nami, ruling out that one of the two has the map because when the girl tried to flee, Luffy was not shocked thinking that perhaps she would steal it from him. Which leaves the two of them, Luffy and her, alone with him.
''So, please'' the clown gestures to his subordinates with his head. ''make these two guests uncomfortable in the green room. I’m gonna have a chat with my stretchy new pal and…’’ His eyes jump to her, tilting his head to the side with genuine curiosity. ''this beauty that was incapable of taking her eyes off me.''
Fuck. Was it that obvious?
''Doll, you are the only one who hasn't opened your mouth yet and I don't think it's because you’re a shy little flower.'' He begins, circling around her like an animal hunting its prey, analyzing it, hoping to see a chink of weakness to attack. ''Are you bored?'' He asks almost in a whisper near her ear. ''Is that it? Are you so, so bored that you don't think it's worth enough interacting with the rest of us?'' Breaking away from her when he realizes she doesn't falter, he smiles a huge, threatening smile, looking her up and down in such a way that it almost makes her feel dirty. "Or maybe you're the one who has my map, and you're quiet to try not to attract /my/ attention."
She? The map? Wearing such tight pants and top? Yeah, maybe up her ass, but she's not the one who is going to tell him otherwise because if he, or one of his subordinates, comes to search her, she could take advantage of the opportunity to steal some sort of weapon from them.
In particular from Buggy; (Y/N) saw the knives he keeps in his coat and… she wouldn't mind taking a closer look at that interesting nose.
"Busted." She finally admits with a lopsided smile, raising both eyebrows when she sees the surprise on the clown's face. He didn't expect such a cocky response, did he? "I'm not the type of person who likes to attract attention, the spotlight is for others who are more... flashy." She pronounces it honeyedly, repeating the same nickname he used before, pointing at him with a gesture of her chin. "However, I'm not going to tell you where the map is. If you want to find it, come and search for it yourself."
Shrugging her shoulders, she stretches out both arms in a gesture that invites him to come closer. Bold, he thinks, more than pleased with this unexpected turn of events, taking some steps in her direction. She adds once more: "although I would be surprised if you hadn't already done it during the time we have been unconscious"
"Me?" He points at himself, stopping right in front of her. "Take advantage of a defenseless young lady?" He almost sounded offended if it wasn't for the shit eating grin and the eager way he was scanning her body now. "What kind of degenerate do you take me for?"
She scoffs, and Buggy, unsure, seems to consider -for some long seconds- whether or not to do the job himself, (Y/N) being too calm for how helpless she seems. But surely, he knows, she doesn't have any weapons on her; his subordinates were in charge, as she said, of searching all of them as soon as they were brought to the circus.
In the end he gives up, because he would be damned if he dared to refuse to thoroughly touch this mysterious woman who may, just may, have his map hidden somewhere. He strongly doubts it, tho.
Soon enough, he moves again, standing then behind her, and without asking permission, he doesn’t need it either, his hands start roaming her shoulders and sides slowly, making sure to feel anything weird between her clothes and the skin underneath. Like the fucking map, folded until it is nothing more than a small piece of paper easy to hide.
Because that is the whole point of that scene, right?
"Go on, be my guest." she says sarcastically, trying to stay calm and breathe slowly, because (Y/N) likes to pretend to be made of stone, but not /that much/. The pressure of those gloves against her already tight clothes and the hungry way she knows those -green? blue? difficult to say with those circus lights- eyes are watching her every move make her heart beat a bit faster in something she’d call /the average amount of nervousness when a known, wanted pirate search for something we wants while threatening to kill you if he doesn’t find it/.
Buggy, on the other hand, is so engrossed in his task that his usual cocky smile has disappeared a few seconds ago; he is waiting to feel a change in the girl's body language to be able to guess if she has it or if, on the contrary, this search will be saved in his memory as no more than a small pleasurable pause after all the stress that the goddamn map is putting him through. Because he can't deny it, she's actually a beauty, and in other circumstances he wouldn't mind getting to know her in a funnier way. At all.
Inhaling deeply, wetting his red lips with his tongue, he lets the air out slowly, tilting his head to the side to see her better. He should hurry up and stop making that scene as intimate as it's becoming, audience and all, but he's a thorough man. Or that’s the excuse -explanation- he will give to whoever dares to ask.
"Where the hell did you hide my map?" He asks melodiously as he finishes searching her torso, his right hand starting to go a little lower, getting dangerously close to her hipbone when (Y/N)'s right hand flies up and catches his wrist between her fingers, stopping him dead in his tracks. She couldn't help it, she acted on autopilot, she is not ready to be the main character of a porn movie with audience included letting him roaming all around as he pleases. "Not between my legs, so keep lowering your hands and I'll cut them off." she threatens, turning her face to look at him standing behind her.
Right back, as if those words were magical or something, the huge, shit eating smile of his returns to the lips of the unstable clown, and without letting go, he makes her spin, facing her with both hands on her waist, strongly keeping her in place, sharp eyes fixed on her, and without realizing it, she stops breathing for a second. "You promise?" He whispers, pleads almost, in an amused, delighted tone of voice after such a threat. She was way interesting than he expected, not as shy or scared as an unarmed girl like her should be. He likes that. A lot.
However, he has -sadly- things to do and he did in fact, already lost time with her. His eyes betraying him the moment they land on the girl's lips, Buggy winks at her with a cocky expression and pulls away suddenly, raising both arms "Another disappointment, how many more can our audience endure? You’re the only one left, Rubber Boy, don't let me down." He points him, moving closer, while (Y/N) just stays there where he left her, wondering what the fuck just happened and why does her heart run so fast now.
Adrenaline, probably.
"Take her with the others" he ends up saying to a couple of members of his gang, to which she responds by moving on her own in the direction of where they have taken Zoro and Nami before, preventing them from guiding her by force and discovering the knife she stole from Buggy when he got so damn close to her, and which she secretly hid between the waistband of her pants and her shirt.
Risky, she could cut herself with the smallest movement at the least expected moment, but it was way worse to see herself unarmed.
Buggy, infatuated, takes one last look at her and, raising one hand, waves his fingers in the air with a huge smile on his face as he says goodbye to her.
"See you later, love."

_______________________________
Luffy never used to remember his dreams. They were hazy and soft, they made him feel warm and fuzzy when he woke up, he would stretch and yawn and they’d go away so fast and so gently like butterflies flying away. And then he’d see you and hold you and kiss you until you were awake too, as excited to see you and his heart so warm and full of love.
And you were there to enjoy his dreams, he was a noisy sleeper who mumbled happy little thoughts unintelligibly into your neck, he would kick and pinch and squeeze in his sleep which you had to learn to live with because he couldn’t go to sleep without a hug and you’d be the one to give it to him all night. But he’d often end up moving and rolling around, tangling himself uncomfortably, protective instincts kicking in he'd get on top of you and lay there, starfish. When he awoke in the night he’d assume his most comfortable and close position with lazy kisses. He was so, so happy every night.
That was two years ago.
He’s still the same boy he was then, still giving you all those awkward little affections during the night that you missed so much while you were away. But now there’s more. Now, sometimes, he has nightmares. Awful ones that torment him every so often and make him upset and sad when he awakes in the dark, make him begin to cry when he realizes you aren’t in his arms anymore. You always pray for nights when he’s calm like he used to be, you make sure to massage him and kiss him as he falls asleep to coax those good dreams back and help him heal. Of course those years ago he’d get upset and scared and sometimes he wouldn’t feel well when he woke up, but that was so rare, that was when something bad had just happened and he was very stressed but it was so rare because he was so, so happy.
Luffy’s happy now, too. He hasn’t changed much, really, still an excitable, bouncy kid, always smiling, but now you have to worry about the night. You have to worry about dark thoughts and memories bubbling over when he’s most vulnerable until his body shakes and even your affection is barely enough. This is terrible for you, so unbearably terrible. You have to learn how to soothe something broken, something you love with every fraction of your shattered heart.
_________________________________
You’re asleep, a dull, unbreakable sleep, you’d curled up in Luffy’s arms when it was time for bed and you’d cuddled together and giggled and kissed until you both fell asleep in a joyful pile. Now you’re so content, you don’t even notice how Luffy had accidentally rolled away from you in the night, sheets all tangled up with you and keeping a distracting warmth.
Luffy’s dream isn’t bad at first. It’s the kind where you’re not quite there, floating above the world in just a dull picture, no sound or feeling or touch. It’s just the ocean, a bird over the sea. But suddenly the ocean is stone and the sky is fire and he’s disoriented, where is he? What’s happening? He looks at his hands and they’re red and he’s frozen in fear like you sometimes are in nightmares. He knows in his fractured, cloudy little mind that something bad is going to happen and he’s going to see that picture again. A thousand flashbulb memories are going to explode at once, in fire. In the waking world in bed he’s twitching and sweating and his eyes are shifting furiously beneath his lids, and you don’t know, you aren’t there to hold him.
Ace. Ace’s smile and his soft black eyes and they’re playing in the jungle together and running and running and now that’s gone, the fire’s back. It all happens at once, so much blood, holding something fading and dying. Heartsick over a goodbye. It’s one of those nightmares where you cry and scream so much and as loud as you can because everything’s happening to you at once, but you can’t make any sound, you’re just in a tidal wave of amplified agony. And that’s how Luffy lives in this moment, unable to make out much of anything except darkness and pain, shaking and overheating in his sleep.
But the anguish bursts all around him and then suddenly the fire’s gone and everything is quiet again and Luffy’s awake, tangled uncomfortably in the blankets, face covered in tears. He can’t catch his breath and his mind is full and blurry and empty all at once. Suddenly the darkness of the cabin is all encompassing, sickly, he wants it to be day again and for the world to feel safe and happy and oh, where are you?
Fear squeezes his heart as he tries to find you in the darkness, are you gone? He can’t handle being alone right now, he can’t do this, he searches with his hands in the dark and cries and feels the panic burning a hole in his stomach but finally he turns to his left and there you are. Sleeping. Despite all of this you’re still sleeping, curled up and breathing slowly, unaware and at peace. Luffy wants to wake you up so badly because he doesn’t want to be alone but he doesn’t want to worry you.
So he climbs into your arms and breathes you in. He buries his face in your chest and tries to calm his injured heart.
Biting his lip and shaking he tries so hard not to cry. He can’t bother you, he knows you’ll be sad and worried which he really doesn’t want. But his whole body hurts, he wants your arms to be tighter, he squeezes and squeezes begging silently for relief and for everything to go away but it wasn’t just a night terror it was a memory and memories don’t just go away. So he cries.
You’re stirred from sleep because the sound of Luffy crying is the worst thing you could possibly hear, a thousand of your own memories are brought back and some deep instinct is triggered within you, pulling you, you wake up immediately and the first thing you do is get on top of him and lock him in your arms, trying to breathe slowly so he will too.
He twitches beneath you, cloudy realization that he’s no longer alone. His arms are around you, fingers digging in, sharp pain, he’s trying so hard to make his tears stop as you hold him and stroke his face. But he’s a possessive, needy boyfriend who’s comforted by protecting who he loves. He sits up, taking you with him, he wraps his arms around you tighter and tighter and then his legs. He’s breathing heavily on your face, eyes closed, sad still but resilient. You’re pinned to him, unable to move, but you massage the tension out of his back and shoulders as best you can.
“Did you have a nightmare?” you whisper and he nods against you and holds you even tighter if that’s possible, “…do you wanna talk about it?”
So he nods very gently but he doesn’t say anything. His hands are twitching against you, scratching at your back in leftover desperation.
“Was it about him?”
Luffy leans against you, hopeless and drained, you don’t need him to answer so you just press your cheek against his and pet his hair. And his shoulders shake as he cries silently in your arms.
You rest there for a few minutes, unable to do much other than just hold him, and he whispers in your ear, “I miss him so much.” Which wets your eyes because there’s so much pain in those five words. His voice is breathy, far away.
“I know, Lu… I’m sorry.” You’re not good at this, you think. You never really know what to say because this goes deeper than words can touch.
Luffy bites his lips. He doesn’t want to cause you pain and knowing that he is, it’s just piling on top of his despair. There’s so many times he’s oblivious to how you’re feeling but when things are broken, when you’re in distress, reality tugs at the inside of his heart.
“I’ve got you,” you whisper, fingers in his hair, you kiss his neck gently and the warmth is getting through to him, so gradually.
“I want him here. I just…” Luffy’s voice is breaking. And you taste fresh tears as you move your lips higher. “I miss him,” he says again.
“I know how much he meant to you. Hey, Luffy…” The slow rise and fall of your chest is slowly steadier his breath now. He looks up at you, that sadness in his eyes is almost too painful to handle but you look at him anyways, eye contact with something beautiful soothes his soul. “He’d be so proud of you. And how strong you are.”
He’s heard this before. Luffy sniffles, he knows it’s true but only so much of that can help.
“He’d be proud of you, because you never gave up, right? You kept going and you got stronger.” And you’re not talking about his physical strength, really. You tap the side of his head gently. “Up here.”
Luffy nods subtly, his tears are stopping slowly as he clings to the comfort of your words, his greatest comfort in the world is protecting people he loves, being there for someone. He’s still guilt ridden at letting his brother die for him but as long as he keeps living he’s living for Ace, honoring him, being there for him even if he’s gone.
And that’s what you say next, reading his mind. “What matters is that you’re alive. You didn’t let what he did for you go to waste, he’d be so proud of that. This is exactly what he wanted, yeah?” Your hands trace circles on Luffy’s back as you feel him relax very slowly.
“I’m so happy you’re still here,” you whisper right in his ear.
“Mhm…” Luffy’s lips find yours, hovering, just touching you. “I’m not letting you go, ‘kay?” His words are so deep and genuine. There’s heartache there but an impenetrable love, most of all. His arms are flexed around your body, he’s squeezing you and it’s almost uncomfortable but you have to let him right now.
“I’m not going anywhere.” You manage a smile which makes him smile too.
It seemed impossible for Luffy to get even more loving but he definitely was when you saw him again. You’re the one who’s getting it all, all the affection he wanted to give to his brother.
“You wanna hang out for a while?” You offer because you’re scared to let him sleep again. “It’s ok to stay up. If you’re tired tomorrow I’ll take a nap with you.”
He likes that idea. Maybe you’ll get something to eat, even take a walk on the deck if it’s not too cold. He just wants your company. He wants to spend as much time with you as he physically can to make up for everything and to show you how much love he has to give.
“I love you, mh, let’s stay up an’ hang out,” his words are quiet and gravelly from sleep and tears but what matters is he’s smiling now. He’s back to living in the moment tonight, and you’re his moment.
The next morning he’ll be completely back to himself. He’ll kiss you good morning but he’ll act like the night never happened, probably, because it’s nicer to be happy and enjoy the day. He has you, he knows everything’s going to be alright.

Colors
Tumblr media
IMAGINE: COLORS - ZORO X READER GENRE: FLUFF cw: soulmate au. a bit ooc? ****************
The world was rather drab in your opinion. Just black, white and grays. And to see color you have to meet a certain person, your soulmate to be more specific.
You hated that idea. If you want to see the world at its fullest you have to depend on a single person? You cursed the deity that created it. You wanted to be an independent person, and falling in love only sounded like it was going to slow you down.
So you continued to live life in monochrome, accepting to live like this. That doesn’t mean you hated every second of it. To make the best of it, you traveled to different islands, exploring different cultures and trying different foods.
It was a good life.
The island you were currently at was quite busy. People constantly bump into each other, shoving, just trying to get to their destination. You wouldn’t be surprised if there were any pickpockets in the area. You didn’t really like it, too many people. So you decided to head to the docks to find your little boat.
However, it was gone. Someone had stolen it. Your day literally couldn’t get any worse.
Your eyes gaze at all the other ships, trying to find one that you deemed worthy enough to get help. A ship with a sheep figurehead caught your eyes. It was rather… cute.
You could see some people walking around on the deck. With a deep sigh, you mentally prepare yourself to play the damsel in distress. Forcing tears to sheen over your eyes, you climb up the ship.
“Excuse me,” You softly say, tears becoming more fresh in your eyes as you try to catch someone's attention.
“Hey! What are you doing on my ship?” You hear a boy call out to you. You look at him, seeing that he was wearing a straw hat and an open vest. You could tell he had his guard up, and you don’t blame him. It is his ship anyway. However, you could tell that it would be rather easy to convince.
“Someone stole my ship… and now I’m stuck here. Can you help me?” “Huh, are you a pirate too?”
What, a pirate?
You didn’t really consider yourself to be a pirate but if it pleased the boy in front of you, then you would say that you were.
“Because if you are, then you’re a terrible pirate.” He says and you almost choke on your spit.
“No,” you whisper while wiping away some tears, “I’m not a pirate. I’m sailing by myself.”
The boy was about to say something until another woman appeared.
“Luffy, who is this person?” A taller woman now stood behind the boy, a slight scowl present on her face.
“I’m (y/n), and my ship has been stolen. I just need passage to the next island… I have berri to pay you with.” You say holding up a small bag of berri, since the rest of it was on your ship. Something that irked you even more.
As soon as the woman heard berri, her scowl lifted away and a bright smile graced her face. “Of course!” She says immediately grabbing the small pouch of money that you had. She walks off, not saying anything else. Leaving you with the boy named Luffy.
“Welcome to the crew!” He excitedly says. You quirked an eyebrow, “uh. Not part of the crew. Just to the next island.”
Luffy ignores you, “I’ll show you to the rest of the crew. That was Nami, she’s our navigator,” he grabs your hand and starts to drag you around the ship. He opens one of the doors, which led to a kitchen. A man stood over the stove, stirring something.
The man sighs hearing the door open. “Luffy, how many times do I have to tell you-” He turns around, ready to scold the boy. However, he stops once he sees you.
“Well, who do I have the honor meeting?” He walks over to you, with a suave smile. “This is (y/n), she’s going to be a part of the crew now. This is Sanji, he’s the cook” Sanji grabs onto your hand, and you just slightly shake your head, “oh no. Just to the next island.” Sanji brings your hand up to his lips, placing a chaste kiss on it. “Well, I do hope you change your mind.” You nervously laugh at him while pulling your hand back, “thanks.”
Luffy grabs onto your other hand, dragging you out of the kitchen.
“This is Usopp!” He shouts pointing to someone with curly hair and quite a long nose. “He’s a-” “I’m the Captain!” He cuts off Luffy. “No! I’m the Captain!”
The two start to bicker, causing you to sweat drop at their antics.
While they are bickering, you decide to look around the ship. Your eyes caught a man that was sleeping on the side of the wall. He had three swords right next to him, and you wondered, who uses three swords?
Leaving the two bickering boys, you walked up to the sleeping man. Wanting to get a closer look at the three swords. However, when you are standing right infront of him, his eyes snapped open, looking straight into your eyes.
Suddenly, you could see this green hair. Something that greatly stood out to you.
Wait.
You could see the color of his hair. You could see every color around you.
It was all too much. The sudden rush of colors causes your head to spin and hurt. There were too many colors that you’ve never seen or heard before. You didn't have time to process the fact that you were now face to face with your soulmate. You rush past the man, and lean yourself over the railing. It wasn’t long until you were puking your guts out.
“Huh, I guess my first impression isn’t that great.” You hear the man speak and you inwardly cringe. He must think you’re disgusting now.
You groan, pushing yourself up to face your soulmate. Now that your headache has calmed down a little, you were able to take a better look at the man. He was tall, and had a few muscles on him. The thing that stood out to you was his green hair. You weren’t expecting to meet your soulmate on a pirate ship, and an actual pirate nonetheless.
“I’m sorry… I wasn’t expecting to meet my soulmate. And the colors… and it was just too much.” You explain. The man hums in response, “I wasn’t expecting my soulmate to sneak up on me.” You purse your lips, “I wasn’t trying to sneak up on you… I was just interested in your swords.”
The corner of his lips twitched, and he was about to say something until Luffy jumped in between the two of you.
“(y/n)! There you are! You met Zoro!” He excitedly says. “Yeah, we met. They’re a part of our crew now, right?” Zoro says and your eyes widen.
It seems like Luffy wasn’t the only one who decided that you were going to be a part of the crew.
“Shhiiishiiishii, yeah!”
Zoro shoots you a look, one of amusement and just a little bit of smugness. “Welcome, I can’t wait to show you more about my swords.”Zoro walks away leaving you speechless and Luffy just a little bit confused. “What was that about?” He asks. “Uh, don’t worry about it.” You answer, “I just found my soulmate…”

We get introduced to Law, Kidd, and Killer! This is about to be a long chapter.
Chapter 2: Hidden Threats Revealed
 In the Sunny…
Sanji is talking with Usopp and Franky about when the group will be back. It’s getting late, and they should have returned by now. “I wonder what happened?” Sanji mutters, his worry evident.
“Brother, are you sure you’re worried about the group and not a certain someone?” Franky smirks, raising an eyebrow.
Sanji lights his cigarette, his cheeks tinged with a faint blush. “I just have a bad feeling about it, Franky.”
“Look, Sanji,” Usopp reassures, “Y/N is probably doing okay. Besides, she’s with Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Robin, Camie, and Hatchan. Nothing’s going to happen to her.”
Just as Sanji is about to respond, the sound of the transponder snail ringing interrupts him. He glances at the snail, hoping it’s news from the group. “That’s probably Nami,” he says, trying to sound nonchalant but failing to hide the hopeful glint in his eyes. As the snail continues to ring, Sanji’s thoughts drift, silently wishing it was your voice he heard instead.
“Hello, my love! Did you miss me? Because I missed you!” Sanji says, his voice dripping with affection as he answers the call, already envisioning your smile.
But instead of your voice, he hears Chopper’s voice, trembling and tearful. “Sanji! Sanji, it’s terrible! Y/N and Camie… they’ve been kidnapped!”
Sanji’s heart sinks as he hears the distress in Chopper’s voice. Sanji’s heart races as he listens to Chopper’s panicked cries. “Chopper, you’ve got to tell me everything you know. Where exactly are they? What do we need to do?”
Chopper sniffles, struggling to compose himself. “They were taken to the Human Auction House. I don’t know all the details, but the auction is happening soon. They’ve been put in sacks and… and…”
Sanji’s grip tightens on the transponder snail, his face contorted with anguish and anger. “Damn it! We’re running out of time. I swear, I’ll get them back. Just hold on, Chopper. We’re coming.”
Franky steps closer, his usually jovial demeanor gone, replaced by a serious, concerned look. “Sanji, we’ll get them back. We need to move fast.”
Sanji nods, his mind already racing with plans. “Alright, let’s gather the crew and head to the auction house. I don’t care what it takes. Y/N and Camie are not going to be sold off as slaves. We’re getting them out of there.”
Usopp places a hand on Sanji’s shoulder, trying to offer some comfort. “We’ll get them back, Sanji. We’ve faced worse. We just need to stick together and be smart.”
Sanji takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself despite the growing storm of emotions inside. “You’re right. Let’s go. We’re getting them back, no matter what.”
As the crew prepares to set out, Sanji’s thoughts are solely on you, his determination hardened into an unbreakable resolve. The love and worry he feels for you drives him forward, and he vows to do whatever it takes to ensure your safety and rescue.
“Hang on, Y/N, I’m coming to save you!” Sanji exclaims, his voice resolute despite the fear that lingers in his heart. He quickly contacts Duval and his crew, urgently explaining the situation. “Duval, we need your help. My friends have been kidnapped and taken to the Human Auction House. We need to get there as fast as possible.”
Duval’s voice crackles through the transponder snail. “Got it, young master. We’ll head over immediately. Just give us the details, and we’ll be there.”
Sanji hangs up and turns to the crew, his expression a mix of determination and urgency. “Alright, everyone, we’ve got to gather the crew and head to the auction house. Duval and his crew are on their way to help us get there quickly.”
Franky nods, his usually upbeat attitude replaced by a serious focus. “We’ll get everyone together and make sure we’re ready. Let’s move!”
Usopp quickly begins coordinating with the rest of the crew, ensuring that everyone is informed and prepared for the impending rescue mission. Sanji’s heart pounds as he prepares to leave, each moment spent away from you feeling like an eternity.
“Just hold on, Y/N. We’re coming for you,” Sanji murmurs to himself, his resolve unwavering as he sets off to rescue you and Camie from their captors.
Meanwhile at the Auction House:
You’re tossed roughly onto the cold floor, a dull thud reverberating through your body as you land. Straining against the ropes binding your wrists and ankles, you inch closer to Camie, who’s huddled in a corner, her eyes wide with panic.
“Camie, breathe,” you try to reassure her, your voice muffled by the tape over your mouth. You shift closer, attempting to untangle yourself enough to offer comfort. “It’s going to be okay. Just stay calm.”
Camie’s eyes darted around, her breath coming in shallow gasps. She tries to speak through her gag, her voice trembling. You can see the terror in her eyes, which only intensifies your determination to get both of you out of this mess.
Just then, a door creaks open and a man in a crisp uniform strides in, his demeanor cold and calculating. Disco, one of the auction house workers, walks over with a smirk. His presence exudes an air of authority that sends a shiver down your spine.
“Well, well, what do we have here?” Disco says, his voice dripping with disdain as he surveys you and Camie. “Two more prizes for our auction. How delightful, a supernova and a mermaid.”
He kneels down to inspect you, his eyes glinting with malicious intent. He reaches down and fastens a collar around your neck “Oh, and these collars come with a little surprise. If you try to remove them, they’ll explode. A nice little deterrent, don’t you think?”
As he stands and adjusts Camie’s collar, you struggle to keep your breath steady. “You know, Disco,” you manage to say, chuckling despite the danger, “once I’m free, you’ll be the first I kill.”
Disco’s eyes narrow with irritation, and he swiftly slaps you across the face, the sting sharp and painful. Just as he moves in to cause more harm, he suddenly freezes, his body going rigid before he collapses to the floor with a thud.
You look around, bewildered, scanning the room for any sign of movement or weaponry. The room is eerily quiet, and you can’t see anyone who could have intervened. Camie’s wide eyes search the room as well, her confusion mirroring your own.
Before you can process what just happened, Disco stirs slightly and gets up, mumbling to one of his workers. “Make sure they’re presentable for the auction. And change her attire—she needs to look suitable for the bidders.”
The worker nods and approaches you with a grim expression, while Disco exits the room, leaving you and Camie with more questions than answers, and a renewed sense of urgency to escape.
“Y/N- Chin! Are you alright? What did they do to you?” Camie says as she takes a second to look at you. Disco’s workers managed to get you changed into a short mini khaki flare skirt and a cropped, fitted white vest. Any other day, you'd be glad to wear such an outfit, but on a day like this, you'd rather burn it to ash. The clothes feel restrictive and uncomfortable, a stark reminder of your current predicament and the indignity of being paraded like a trophy.
They’d managed to take away your blades, leaving only a single hidden one secured within your boot, a small comfort in this dire situation.
“I’m okay, Camie,” you manage to mumble, your voice barely audible. “They haven’t done anything... too bad yet. Just stay strong.”
Camie nods, tears welling up in her eyes as she tries to maintain composure. You notice her collar, the same kind you’re wearing, and the fear in her expression only intensifies.
You notice the humans and giants in the cells around you—some are pirates, and one of them looks awfully familiar. He has long white hair, glasses, and a scar on his face, but you can’t quite place him. As you struggle to get a better look, the worker assigned to you returns and begins adjusting your attire, ensuring you are presentable for the auction. The collar around your neck itches, and you can’t shake the feeling that you’re being watched.
Outside the Auction house…
“Out of my way!” Sanji growled, pushing past Hatchan and Chopper as they tried to hold him back.
“Sanji, wait!” Nami called out, grabbing his arm. “We can’t draw attention to ourselves. We have enough treasure to buy both Camie and Y/N. We need to be smart about this.”
“But I can’t just stand here while they’re in danger!” Sanji’s voice was filled with desperation, his eyes burning with a fierce determination.
Luffy, Brooke, Zoro, Usopp and Robin had yet to arrive, and Chopper glanced around nervously. “We need to be patient, Sanji. Rushing in recklessly won’t help them.”
Inside the Auction House…
With a deep breath, Sanji reluctantly nodded, his gaze still fixed on the auction house. As the group entered, the atmosphere was tense with anticipation.
On the left side of the auction house, the Heart Pirates’ captain, Trafalgar Law, sat with his crew—Penguin, Bepo, and Shachi. Law’s eyes glinted with curiosity as he leaned back in his chair, waiting for the auction to begin.
“I wonder what ridiculous item they’ll put up next,” Law mused aloud, his tone both intrigued and amused.
Bepo, pointing discreetly, said, “Captain, look over there. The Straw Hats are here, too.”
Law’s gaze shifted, and he raised an eyebrow. “Is that so? Looks like things are about to get interesting.”
On the right side of the room, the Kidd Pirates were present. Eustass Kidd, Killer, Heat, and Wire stood together, their presence commanding attention. Kidd’s eyes were cold as he surveyed the room, his expression one of disinterest mingled with disdain.
Killer, noticing the Straw Hats, smirked slightly. “So, they’ve arrived. This should be fun.”
Heat leaned in closer to Kidd. “Think they’ll cause trouble?”
Kidd’s lips curled into a faint smile. “They always do. Let’s see how this plays out.”
As the auction house buzzed with anticipation, Eustass Kidd’s sharp eyes scanned the room. His gaze landed on the Straw Hat Pirates, noting their number. Something seemed off.
“Killer,” Kidd said, narrowing his eyes, “where’s the rest of the strawhats? I thought they were part of the group.”
Killer glanced around, frowning. “Yeah, I don’t see them either. Just Sanji, Nami, Franky, and Chopper.”
Heat, overhearing the conversation, chimed in, “You’re right. I wonder where they went.”
Kidd’s expression darkened, and he looked more closely at the remaining Straw Hats.
Wire, noticing Kidd’s reaction, asked, “What do you think happened?”
Kidd’s gaze was intense as he observed the room. “If they’re not here, they might be the auction items. We should keep an eye on this and see if anything unusual happens.”
At that moment, the Disco began to speak, calling attention to the upcoming items, and Kidd’s focus sharpened.
As the auction continued, tension filled the air. Sanji, growing more anxious with each passing moment, clenched his fists. Pappag sat beside him, tears streaming down his face as he muttered, "Camie... I hope she's okay."
Nami, determined and focused, kept her gaze fixed on the auction stage, her mind racing as she planned their next move. "We need to get them back. We can't let them be sold off."
The Disco’s voice boomed through the room, “Ladies and gentlemen, we are now down to our last two items for the evening. But before we reveal who they are, let’s take a look at their silhouettes.”
A large curtain lifted, revealing two shadowy figures. The room buzzed with excitement, and among the crowd, the Celestial Dragon, Charlos, arrived and took his seat, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. His presence was marked by an air of arrogance and entitlement.
Sanji’s eyes widened as he recognized the silhouette. His heart pounded as he whispered, "No... It can't be. That's Y/N!"
Nami’s head snapped toward Sanji. “What? Are you sure?”
Sanji’s voice was strained, "I’m certain. That’s definitely Y/N. She's up there along with Camie!”
Disco, on stage, smirked as he saw Sanji’s reaction. “Recognize her? Well, it seems we have quite the star attraction tonight.”
Charlos, clearly excited, leaned forward eagerly. “I must have them. No one else will touch them.”
Nami clenched her fists. “We have to stop this. Sanji, we need to act now.”
Sanji’s eyes were fierce with determination. “I’m going to get Y/N back. I promise.”
As the curtain continued to rise, revealing more of the figures, the crowd’s anticipation grew. The auctioneer’s voice rang out, “And now, for the grand reveal. Let’s see who our final items are!”
Sanji’s heart raced as he prepared to make his move, knowing that time was running out and their friends’ fate hung in the balance.
Moments before your turn for the auction:
“It's showtime ladies, only a few minutes til you meet your fate, any last words?”
You glanced to your right and saw Camie being placed inside a large fish bowl, her face pale and her eyes wide with fear. The sight of her trembling made your heart ache as you thought about the possibility of never seeing Sanji or the crew again. Flashbacks of your adventures and moments with them filled your mind, and tears began to well up in your eyes.
With a final surge of defiance, you looked up and said, “Kiss my ass,” before spitting in at one of the workers' faces. You laughed bitterly, as if this might be your last chance to show some spirit. He wiped his face in disgust and ordered another worker to drag you away.
As you braced yourself for the worst, a sudden commotion at the side caught your attention. An old man, whom you vaguely recognized but couldn’t place, approached you. His face was stern yet kind, and he whispered urgently, “Hold still, and trust me.”
Before you could react, he deftly removed the collar and the shackles on your feet and wrists. With a quick, decisive move, he threw the real collars and shackles far away, creating a distraction among the other workers. They scrambled to see where the noise was coming from, allowing a small window of opportunity. You were about to thank him, but he shushed you with a finger to his lips and whispered, “The real collars and shackles are gone, but these are fake. I need to make it look real for now. Don’t worry; I’ll get your friend out too.” Slipping away, leaving you to make your way to the stage, your heart pounding with a mix of hope and trepidation. You stayed focused, knowing that this was your chance to escape and reunite with your friends.
  Time of the Auction:
You made your way to the stage, standing in the center with your best acting face on to conceal the fact that the collar and shackles were now fake. You took a deep breath, trying to remain composed despite the gravity of the situation.
Disco’s voice echoed through the auction house, “Ladies and gentlemen, we are now down to our last two items for the evening. But before we reveal who they are, let’s take a look at their silhouettes.”
The lights dimmed, casting dramatic shadows of you and Camie. You couldn’t help but growl under your breath, “Perverted fucks.” Your heart ached seeing Camie’s frightened expression. You managed to send her a reassuring wink and mouthed, “Don’t worry, everything is going to be okay. I promise.”
Camie’s eyes brightened a little with relief as she mouthed back, “Thank you, Y/N-Chin.”
As the curtain began to rise, the applause and cheers of the auction house grew louder, and the harsh lights made it difficult to see clearly. You squinted into the crowd and saw a familiar face that made your heart leap.
“Sanji,” you whispered, almost breaking down in tears.
Sanji’s face was a storm of fury as he took in your appearance. The sight of your bruised cheek, the signs of rough handling on your arms, and the tight ponytail you wore only fueled his rage further. His hands were clenched into fists as he seethed with anger.
“Nami, I’m going to kill them!” Sanji growled, his voice trembling with barely-contained rage.
“Sanji, don’t worry. We’ve got this,” Nami said firmly, trying to calm him down.
Disco began to announce the starting price, but before he could finish, a voice rang out from the crowd. “500 million berri’s!” Charlos the Celestial Dragon declared with a smug grin.
The room fell silent for a moment as the crowd absorbed the bid. Your eyes begin staring in shock.
Eustass Kid’s eyes widened as he recognized you on stage. “Wait, isn’t that Y/N?” he said, disbelief evident in his voice.
Killer, who had been observing from the sidelines, let out a low, whistling sound of surprise. His eyes locked onto you, and he made no attempt to hide his appraisal. “Well, Captain, there’s your answer,” Killer said with a smirk. “Might I say, her wanted poster doesn’t do her justice.” His gaze roamed over you appreciatively, adding, “She’s quite the sight up close.”
Law, still stunned, glanced between you and Killer, trying to piece together the situation. Bepo, unable to contain his shock, said, “Hey Captain, isn’t that your—” His voice was muffled by the crowd’s noise and the chaos that ensued.
As the auction house buzzed with tension, Nami’s hand trembled as she dropped her number in shock. “There’s no way we can buy both Y/N and Camie now,” she said, her voice filled with despair. “We only have enough for one!”
Pappag and Hatchan, who had been anxiously waiting, began to cry out in distress. “Camie! Camie!” they yelled, their voices breaking with sorrow.
Sanji’s fists clenched tightly, his knuckles turning white as his rage and helplessness collided. His eyes were locked on the stage, where you stood, and he was tormented by the thought of you becoming a slave to that bastard, Charlos. “I won’t let this happen,” he muttered fiercely under his breath.
But Sanji was caught in a dire dilemma. He knew that if he took action against Charlos or any of the Celestial Dragons, it would set off alarms with the Navy. That would only increase the danger for both you and Camie. His heart pounded with the crushing weight of knowing that any rash move could jeopardize your safety even further.
Shaking, you forced yourself to look at Camie and offered her a reassuring smile, mouthing “It’s time.” You took a deep breath and, with a defiant laugh, began to step forward, addressing Charlos with bold determination.
“Do you honestly think my friend and I are worth so little?” you said, your voice ringing out with defiance. “Well, you, sir, are gravely mistaken.”
Turning to Disco, your rage intensified. “You should really start investing in better equipment. As you can see…” With a dramatic flourish, you removed the fake shackles and collar. “They come right off.”
The crowd gasped as you pulled out your blade, which you had managed to sneak in despite the tight security. “And as I last recalled,” you said slowly, “I warned you the moment I got out of these chains, I would be coming for you.”
With a fierce cry, you lunged at Disco. The blade sliced through the air, and chaos erupted in the auction house. Screams filled the room as the crowd surged, pushing and shoving in panic.
As the auction house erupted into chaos, Eustass Kid's eyes locked onto you, and he was momentarily taken aback. “Well, well, look at that,” he muttered, his voice laced with a mix of curiosity and intrigue. “So that’s the Straw Hat everyone’s been talking about. Guess she’s not just talk.”
Killer, leaning against the wall, whistled lowly, his gaze intense as he took in your fierce fight. “Looks like she’s got some fire in her,” he said with a smirk. “Not bad at all.” As he watched you, his interest deepened. He couldn’t help but feel a strong attraction to your courage and fighting spirit.
Kid’s gaze was fixed on you with an intense, almost predatory interest. He had been captivated ever since he first saw your wanted poster and heard about you from the other Supernovas. “Damn,” he thought, his eyes lingering on you with a sultry edge. “She’s even better in person. I’d much rather have her with me than anyone else.” His thoughts were charged with an underlying desire, a mix of admiration and something much more primal. “If I had my way, she’d be by my side, not shackled and displayed for others.”
As the scene unfolded, Disco’s attempts to fend off your attacks were futile. You were relentless, your blade slicing through the chaos. Disco, clearly frightened, scrambled for cover. “No! Stop her! Somebody stop her!” he shouted, his voice tinged with desperation.
Bepo and Penguin exchanged glances as they observed their captain's reaction. Bepo’s eyes sparkled with admiration, but his focus was on Law. “Captain, is that really…” he trailed off, unable to take his eyes off you. Penguin nodded, equally spellbound. “Looks like the captain’s got quite an interest. He’s not the only one.”
Law, his gaze fixed intently on you, couldn't hide his fascination. “So she’s more than just a pretty face,” he murmured, his eyes following your every move with a mix of admiration and intrigue. His earlier interest had clearly deepened into something more intense, as he watched you fight with a newfound appreciation.
Nami ordered Franky to look for the keys, to get Camie out of there. “Right, I'm on it!” and Franky leaves to look for the key.
Sanji, charging through the crowd as it begins to die down, finally reaches you. “Y/N! I’m here!” he shouted, grabbing your arm as he pulled you away from Disco. “Let’s get out of here!”
As you buried yourself in Sanji’s embrace, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, a sense of relief washed over you. “Sanji,” you whispered, your voice trembling with emotion, “thank you.”
Sanji’s arms tightened around you, his voice soft yet firm. “You don’t need to thank me, Y/N. I’d go through hell to keep you safe.”
But the warmth of the moment was disrupted by the heated gazes of three very different men, each battling his own surge of jealousy and desire.
Eustass Kid’s jaw clenched as he watched the tender exchange. The sight of you wrapped up in Sanji’s arms, the intimacy of it, sparked something primal in him. His eyes darkened with possessiveness. “So, she’s got a thing for that damn cook,” he muttered under his breath, frustration lacing his tone. “Too bad for him—she’s better suited for someone with real power. She’d be better off by my side.”
Killer’s usually cool demeanor was strained as he watched the scene unfold. A low, almost sultry chuckle escaped his lips. “She’s got a thing for cooks, huh? Lucky for her, I’m an excellent chef,” he murmured, his voice dripping with intent. “Maybe she just needs a taste of something different.” His eyes raked over you with a blend of admiration and hunger, imagining a scenario where it was him holding you close.
Trafalgar Law, usually so composed, felt a sharp pang of jealousy twist in his chest. He’d kept his feelings for you carefully guarded, but seeing you with Sanji made something snap inside him. His gaze was intense, his usual calm replaced by a burning desire to intervene. “She deserves someone who understands her,” he thought, his mind racing. “Someone who can protect her without needing to be thanked for it.” The sight of you so vulnerable, so close to Sanji, was almost unbearable.
Killer smirked, leaning closer to Kid, his voice low and laced with playful challenge. “Guess we’ll see who she really belongs with, huh?”
Law’s eyes flickered with determination as he observed the two other men. He wasn’t about to back down either. He stepped forward, ready to act, his usual strategic mind overwhelmed by the desire to pull you away from Sanji and into his own arms.
Each of them, in their own way, was drawn to you, not just by your strength but by the vulnerability you displayed in this moment. They all wanted to be the one to comfort you, to protect you, to claim you. The tension between them was electric, a silent agreement that none of them would let Sanji have you without a fight.
The auction house was on the brink of chaos as Nami looked on to see who was remaining. Tension filled the air as Hatchan, driven by desperation, tried to make a run toward Camie. But as he moved, his cloak began to slip, revealing his fishman identity to the room.
Charlos’ eyes gleamed with sadistic delight as he seized the opportunity, pulling out a gun without hesitation. “A fishman and a Supernova? Today’s my lucky day,” he sneered.
Camie, trapped in the fish tank, began banging on the glass frantically, her wide eyes filled with terror. The sound of her desperate attempts to alert the others cut through the chaos. You broke away from Sanji, your heart pounding in your chest as you turned to see what was happening.
In that split second, you saw Charlos raising his gun, aiming directly at Hatchan. Without thinking, you pushed Sanji to the side and sprinted toward Hatchan, your only thought to protect him.
A single gunshot rang out, echoing through the auction house. The next moment felt like an eternity. You reached Hatchan just in time, throwing yourself over him as the bullet buried itself in your right thigh. Pain seared through you, but you held on, determined to shield your friend.
Hatchan hit the ground with you on top, his eyes wide with shock. “Y/N! Why did you—” he stammered, his voice choked with emotion as he realized what you had done.
You gritted your teeth, the pain in your thigh radiating through your body. “I wasn’t going to let him hurt you,” you said through clenched teeth, your voice trembling with both pain and determination. “We stick together.”
As the sound of the gunshot echoed through the auction house, Sanji’s heart nearly stopped. “Y/N!” he screamed, his voice filled with panic as he watched you collapse on top of Hatchan. Blood began to seep from your thigh where the bullet had hit, and Sanji’s world narrowed to that single point of red. “Damn it, Y/N, you’re always throwing yourself into danger,” he muttered, his voice thick with concern.
“Chopper! Hurry! Get the bullet out of Y/N and tend to the wound!” Sanji yelled, his voice trembling with urgency as he knelt beside you, his hands hovering over your wound, unsure whether to touch you or not, fearing he might make things worse.
Chopper, already in motion, rushed over with his medical kit. “Hang in there, Y/N! I’ve got this!” he said, his small hands working quickly to assess the wound.
The room fell silent for a heartbeat, and then the auction house doors exploded inward with a thunderous crash. Luffy stormed into the room, his eyes blazing with fury as he took in the scene—the bleeding wound on your thigh, Hatchan on the ground, and Charlos standing there with a smug grin on his face.
Beside Luffy, Zoro stepped in, his expression just as intense, though slightly more annoyed as he shook off the aftereffects of the bumpy ride in the Fishman vehicle. “What the hell did I miss?” Zoro grumbled, his hand already resting on the hilt of his sword as he quickly assessed the chaotic scene in front of him.
Luffy’s eyes narrowed, the fury within him boiling over as he watched Charlos gloat over your injury. His hands clenched into fists, and he began walking toward the Celestial Dragon with a terrifying calmness. The air around him seemed to crackle with tension as everyone in the room felt the weight of his anger.
Zoro, now fully alert and ready for action, exchanged a glance with Luffy. The unspoken understanding between them was clear—this wasn’t going to end well for Charlos.
“You…” Luffy’s voice was low, almost a growl. Each word he spoke was laced with a promise of retribution. “You hurt my friends…”
Charlos barely had time to register the danger before Luffy was upon him. Without another word, Luffy’s fist collided with Charlos’ face, the force of the punch sending the Celestial Dragon flying across the room and crashing into the wall with a sickening thud.
Meanwhile, Kidd's eyes narrowed dangerously as he watched Sanji fuss over you. A surge of jealousy flared up inside him, and he clenched his fists. “I didn’t come all this way to watch some Straw Hat steal the show,” Kidd muttered, his voice laced with irritation. “She belongs with someone who can handle her—like me.”
Killer, standing beside him, chuckled darkly. “Looks like the competition’s tough. But I’d love to see how she reacts to someone who can handle more than just a kitchen knife,” he said, his eyes gleaming with a mix of amusement and something more primal as he eyed you protectively.
On the other side, Law’s usual calm demeanor cracked ever so slightly as he observed the scene unfolding before him. “So, this is the kind of devotion she inspires,” he thought, feeling an unexpected twist of envy in his chest. He kept his gaze fixed on you, silently cursing himself for not having acted sooner.
The remaining spectators, including a few of the other Celestial Dragons, looked on with growing unease as they sensed the impending wrath of the Straw Hat captain. The air grew thick with tension, and everyone braced for what was about to happen next. One by one, the remaining spectators, driven by fear, bolted from their seats, abandoning the auction house in a panicked rush. Only the Celestial Dragons, the auction workers, Disco, the Kidd Pirates, the Heart Pirates, and your crew remained, all locked in a tense standoff.

Clinking glasses, boisterous laughter and sounds of revelry filled the air. The kingdom of Wano was celebrating the end of Kaido’s reign and of the ill-famed prophecy coming to fruition after two long decades. As always, your crew was in the centre of the limelight. Luffy was predictably surrounded by piles of empty plates on one side and plates loaded with food on the other. Ussopp and Chopper were merry-making, Robin, Nami and Franky were engaged in conversation with Yamato-kun and Tsuru-san, Brook was playing with some children and you couldn’t see Sanji anywhere. Probably escorting some damsel in distress somewhere, was your best bet. And in a corner of the room, surrounded by Kin’e’mon, Duke Dogstorm and Cat Viper was Zoro – all of them going through barrels of sake like running water. With the burden of Kaido off everyone’s shoulders, everyone felt lighter, freer. So why was there a heaviness in your heart?
You excused yourself from the people around you and you went outside the room to take a deep breath. Maybe looking at the stars would remind you again how insignificant your troubles were. You chastised yourself for feeling the way you did when there were people that had lost their loved ones in the war and in the years preceding it, and once again you wished that matters of the heart could be reigned over by logic. You’d carried a thing of sake with you and there were strains of faint music coming in from somewhere and so you took unladylike sips while staring up at the stars in the sky, willing all other thoughts out of your brain.
“Oi, what are you doing out here?,” a familiar gruff voice rang out behind you. Jolted out of your thoughts and nearly choking on the sake, your eyes widened as you turned around to find Zoro. However, before you could get a word in, he spoke again, and your chest felt heavy again.
“Shitty-cook was looking for you.” Oh. It was probably too much to have expected Zoro to notice your absence and come find out in the middle of a banquet with free-flowing sake. You should’ve known better.
As if right on cue, another familiar voice filled with half-hearted anger and pure annoyance called out from a distance. “Oi Marimo, where the hell have you been? Hiyori-chan’s been looking for you all night, how dare you keep a lady waiting?” Your heart lurched again hearing Hiyori’s name and as Zoro turned around to face Sanji, Sanji spotted you. His tone changed immediately as he called out to you this time, sweetly and with no trace of earlier frustration, “Hellooo YN-chan, didn’t see you there! Are you enjoying the party? Was mosshead over here, bothering you?”
“Haaa?!”
You let out a little laugh and a wave, with a smile you hoped was convincing enough, the same time as Zoro let out an accusatory curse.
“Hey, Sanji! I’m alright thanks, I was looking for you actually. Can I have a cigarette?”
“Of course, anything for you!” Sanji trips over himself trying to get out his pack of cigarettes and insists on lighting it for you. Having completed it, he turns around to see Zoro still standing there, staring at the two of you. “You stupid Marimo, didn’t I tell you Hiyori-chan’s waiting for you? Don’t you have any manners? I can’t believe she would pick you over me. She’s the most beautiful woman in the whole country, why would she even want a brute like you?! Don’t keep her waiting, you ill-mannered animal!” Sanji all but kicks Zoro, as if sending him flying to Hiyori’s feet might make up for however long she’s been waiting. For a second it looks like Zoro and Sanji are going to butt heads for the nth time but Zoro simply twists his face into a scowl, decides against it and walks off, grumbling under his breath. You turn back to rest your elbows on the parapet as you watch the smoke billow away into the night sky.
“So, Zoro and Hiyori, huh?,” you say with a little laugh.
Sanji lets out a scoff, takes a drag as if to compose himself, and then speaks, “Can you believe it?”
You don’t answer him and the two of you finish your cigarettes in silence afterwards. You offer Sanji your remaining sake and he graciously accepts. The two of you walk back to the banquet hall and instinctively your eyes scan the room for Zoro – he is nowhere to be found. And then, cautiously and against your best interests, you scan the room for Hiyori – she is nowhere to be found either. You can feel the bile rising in your chest as you scan the room a third time, this time for signs of either of them, but nothing. Putting two plus two together, you walk into the room with a heavier heart than you’d left. Walking over to the banquet table, you grab two bottles of sake and go join the group nearest to you. Chopper was putting chopsticks up his nose and the entire group was in splits – it was easy to pretend you were having fun too.
Back on the ship, you try your best to give Zoro as wide a berth as possible and hope it goes unnoticed. In your defense, it’s nothing obvious – it’s not like you’re walking the other way when you see him. You didn’t really want to either. Your heart might have been hurting but even then, you couldn’t deny how good he looked doing push-ups on the deck of the Sunny. Well into his 500’s, brazenly shirtless, and sweat glistening like molten gold on his brown skin in the sunlight. Had you not been bothered about giving him some space, you likely would’ve been staring at him shamelessly and Robin would’ve passed a cheeky comment about flies going into your open mouth. With a heavy sigh, and a slightly heavier heart, you go back to the book you were reading.
Days pass like this, with you toeing a thin line doing your best to keep your distance while trying to not make it obvious to anyone. This was just a passing crush and from past experience you’d learned that the best, and probably only way, to deal with it was to bide your time and let it fade away on its own. You only wondered how long it would take this time, because there was a limit to the pangs of pain you could tolerate.
You were sitting in the crow’s nest, knees to your chest and cradling the book you were reading when a movement drew your attention to the door. Zoro walked in with weights and set them down on the floor next to you.
“Should I- do you need the room?” you asked getting ready to get up, hoping simultaneously he’d say yes and no to appease the two splits your heart was in.
“Stay,” he grunted under his breath and he turned around and began setting up his equipment.
Long ago the two of you had come to an agreement to tolerate, and allow, only each other in this little sacred space the two of you had managed to create for yourselves on the Sunny. You reading in silence while Zoro worked out nearby was a near-natural occurrence for the two of you and naturally it often led to small talk, casual conversation and eventually playful banter. You’d spent nights up here on watch, drinking from the secret alcohol stash that Zoro and you had hidden away underneath the floorboards. The more you thought about all the memories you have of the two of you in the room where you were, the more the awkwardness of the present moment was stifling, closing in your heart and squeezing it in desperation. It was too far gone now, there was no escape. If you left now, it would make it even more obvious so all you could hope for was that Zoro hadn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. Although with the way you’d tried to leave earlier… Zoro was an idiot but unfortunately, the bastard could be observant when he wanted to. It was all you could do to stare into the book in your hands, boring your eyes into the words on the page and registering none of them.
Wordlessly you slid back into place, watching him curiously as he arranged the weights on the racks with his back to you. Thanks to your efforts, you had never been alone with him ever since you’d left Wano. You’d made it a point to always stay on the deck, with others in company and sight, to prevent yourself from the exact situation that you were in right now. You knew Zoro liked to train in the crow’s nest, but it was also your favourite place to read a book for similar reasons – it was quiet and far away from the chaos that the deck was almost always prone to.
Speaking of the devil, Zoro's voice cuts through the room, “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”
“Dunno, you’ve seemed a little out of it ever since we left Wano.”
“What do you mean?”
“You know, we haven’t- you haven’t come up to the crow’s nest to read or anything,”
“Oh.” Your heart flutters a little at the fact that he noticed, but the rational part of your brain shuts it down. That’s what a friend does. He cares about you, just not the way you do about him. “I uh- I wanted to give you some space.”
It was Zoro’s turn to look confused. “Hah? Why?”
“I thought you might need some time to get over….” your voice dies down as the confusion in Zoro’s eyes increases. “Get over what?” The pure obliviousness almost makes you question yourself but for the sake of your sanity, you decide to press on. “Over Okiku-san?” you say softly. You see his eyes soften at the mention of her name.
“Oh. Yeah, I visited her grave with Kin’e’mon before we left.” You nodded understandingly. “If that’s what you’re worried about, I’m fine.”
“Do you miss her?”
“Miss her? I only knew her for a week.”
“Then… do you miss Hiyori-san?”
“Haaah?! How do you know about that? Did someone tell you? I bet it was Brook he has awful fucking timing. Just like that morning….” Zoro grumbled under his breath.
Your heart sinks a little as you recall he’s referring to the night that they slept together. You remember feeling devastated when Brook was telling you and Nami and you had to do everything in your power to act like it was scandalizing gossip and not like it felt like your heart was like a rock dropping rapidly into the sea. And it was happening again.
“No one told me, I just… guessed. I’m sorry,” you say softly, trying to stop tears from falling.
“What for?”
“It must suck to leave someone you love behind.” A pause and then you offered honestly, “I don’t know if I could do it.”
“Who did I leave behind?”
“Hiyori-san?”
You could see the gears in his brain turning as he tried to put the pieces together, “And who do I love?”
“Hiyori-san….?”
“Where the hell did you get that from?!”
“From you?!" Zoro continued to stare at you like you were spouting nonsense and so you added in your defense, "I thought she confessed to you on the night of the banquet!”
“She did,” but before you could say anything Zoro spoke again, "But I turned her down.”
“Oh. So it was Okiku-chan then?”
“Haaa?! Where are you getting any of this from?! You’ve been acting strangely ever since we left Wano and now you keep fuckin’ talking about me being with people I haven’t ever thought about that way. Do you think I’m like ero-cook over there, who falls in love with every single girl he meets? Is that really what you think of me?”
“No,” you whisper, tears threatening to spill any moment now. You’d never seen Zoro this annoyed, and never at you. Zoro turns around and starts putting his weights back, his back to you. “Forget it, I just wanted to see if you’re okay but I don’t know what’s wrong with you.”
Your heart sank to your knees and all the arguments you'd been using to not confess to him suddenly fell away. All that was left was your need to explain to Zoro that you'd never meant to piss him off, only to try and know who he liked because you liked him. You spoke before you realized you were doing it, and before you knew it the words had already left your wobbly lips in a shaky whisper.
“Zoro, I’m sorry. I like you.”
Hearing your trembling voice, Zoro turned around and walked over to stand a few steps away from you. You could feel his eyes on you and you’re sure he had questions, but you were also sure there were tears in your eyes; and so you were staring holes into the ground because the last thing you wanted now was for Zoro to see you cry.
Zoro’s voice was softer when he spoke, “I like you too. Are you alright? You know you can talk to me if something’s bothering you, right?” He didn’t know what was going on and your sudden change in behaviour only confused him even further.
Incredulous, you looked up to face him, brimming tears now forgotten. You wondered if you should let it pass since your tortured confession was wildly misunderstood by the swordsman who really had moss for brains at times but now that you’d come out and said it, you figured you might as well get it over and done with. It had taken you months to get this far, and the part of you that was sick playing pretend just wanted to let it all go to flames and see where the pieces fell in the aftermath. You weren’t sure if you could handle another day of acting like Zoro was just a friend to you and another night of going to bed wondering what it would be like if you had the courage to tell him how you felt.
“Zoro no, I like you," gathering courage you started tentatively with a shaky breath and hoped that this time the confession would go through. "I was, I was upset because Brook told us about Hiyori and you and then Luffy told us about Okiku-san and then she died the night of the fight and then- it was all a lot to process and- and I was jealous. And hurt. And I didn’t know how to handle it so I thought avoiding you would help because I didn’t know what else to do. I’m sorry, please don’t be mad at me.”
Your voice went back to a wobbly whisper by the end, and so you missed the way Zoro was looking at you. You’d looked up briefly at some point during your long-winded defense but you'd gone back to the comfort of staring at the ground, talking about this was hard enough. Was it because you'd seen the way Zoro's eyes had widened? Possibly, but you were shaking with nervousness and there was only so much you could admit to on a day when all you were planning to do was finish your book, really. Hearing you talk, his expression had gone through shock, mild distaste at hearing you thought he liked Okiku which immediately changed to a smirk as soon as he heard you say you were jealous. Right now, there was only half a smirk on his face because he was fighting a smile that was threatening to show up.
“Stupid woman, why didn’t you tell me?”
“What?”
“That you liked me." Your head shot up at that and all you could do was stare wordlessly at him as he continued, each next word causing another heartbeat to miss, leaving you with an anxiousness you felt bubbling in the depths of your chest. "Could’ve avoided all these tears if you’d told me earlier. ‘Cause I like you too.”
Your eyes widened hearing him and all of a sudden your brain went blank. All the questions you had for him disappeared and all you could do was look at Zoro wordlessly as he continued to speak.
“I turned Hiyori down because I told her I like someone else, have liked, for a long time now. It’s you, dummy. I like you. Now, will you stop crying? You’re kinda ruining the moment here.”
He gently flicked your forehead and you smacked his arm out of reflex with an offended squawk. A grin broke out on Zoro’s face, “There we go, that’s my girl. Glad to have you back, princess.”
A watery smile made its way onto your face but you were still trying to process what you'd just heard.
“You turned down Hiyori-san… for me? She’s the oiran," your voice faltered as you re-realized the reality.
“Yeah, so?"
"She's the most beautiful girl in all of Wano."
"Yeah well, I think you're prettier." Your eyes widened at his words, tears long halted, as you looked up at him in awe. Like you couldn’t believe the moment you're in is real. Zoro's hands cup your face, his face inches away from yours, as he asks under his breath, "Can I- can I kiss you?"
You nod as if in a daze and you feel his lips on yours immediately afterwards, hungry and hot. His other hand grabs your waist and pulls you closer to him in a single jerk and then he digs his fingers into the skin of your waist, holding you so tight it would've hurt had you been focusing on that instead of drinking his gasps and little groans in. Breaking away from the kiss and looking into Zoro's eyes, you saw a searing look in there that would've buckled your knees had he not been holding you. Tiptoeing, you pressed a shorter, chaste kiss onto his lips and hoped Zoro could feel what you were trying to say: thank you, thank you.
Pulling away, you make yourself comfortable in Zoro's hold, looping your arms around his neck and when you speak there's a twinkle in your eyes, "So… you had a crush on me, huh? That's embarrassing."
"Oi! You said you liked me first!"
You throw your head back and laugh, because yeah he's got you there but you've got him now so you can't be a sore loser. Not today, anyway.
BONUS:
It's late at night and you're lying next to Zoro on the deck, staring up at the sky. The remainder of the day was spent skirting around each other, sharing furtive glances and shy smiles when others weren't looking. Telling others hadn't come up yet but you'd be lying if you said you hadn't been thinking about what this meant for the both of you. With that thought still lingering, you piped up.
"Soo, does this mean we're dating?"
"Nope."
"What?! Why not?" you cried out in indignation and propped yourself up on your elbows to turn to him, offense painted all over your face.
"You still have to ask me out," Zoro pointed out.
"I confessed to you!"
"Exactly, that's why you have to ask me out."
"You-" The logic didn't make any sense but you of all people knew it was futile to argue with Zoro when he'd made up his mind. So you lay back down with a sigh, "Fine. Fine. Roronoa Zoro, will you be my boyfriend?"
You turn to him after you finish your question, staring into his eyes with only a slight glare, loving annoyance pricking your tone but you both know it's harmless. Zoro matches your stare with his own and doesn't speak but leans in closer towards you to close the gap with a kiss he hopes answers your question: a resounding yes. But just in case you hadn't received the message, he mumbles it softly against your lips, "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to say yes."

So the SBS for newest volume was revealed and...
Tumblr media
SBS corner isn't considered spoilers for me, but if it is for you, please skip this post, duh!
I just wanted to point out I was part of the camp that said it was Kizaru since the beginning, so even though it's not stated black on white (it's white on black, actually), I still think this is as close to a confirmation as we will ever get, so let me brag for a second:
Tumblr media
Feels good, haha.
Now down to the nitpicks, so *why* did I think it was Kizaru from the start? (well, I did suspect Caribou too, but it's later revealed he was with Augur and Devon instead).
Tumblr media
At first it was just a fight, Luffy vs Kizaru. He calls it "playing around" and Luffy declares that the same "playing around" is Luffy's job. It's important to remember that, because I think Kizaru realized he could use that for his own purposes.
Tumblr media
Just when Saturn arrives and soon after Luffy loses G5, Kizaru's attitude changes to "this is not good". This change in situation was something he didn't consider to be desirable, despite that it tipped the scales in favour of the Marines.
Tumblr media
Then Kizaru takes his sweet time when he realizes Luffy finally has reached his limit. I'm not saying this fight didn't take a toll on Kizaru, he was panting before at the very least, but let's not forget that if he moved now he would have to finish Luffy off. Seems like his original plan was to push Luffy beyond his limit before any other players (like Saturn) arrive.
Tumblr media
"Someone gimme food"
Kizaru realizes the situation is rapidly escalating now and in all the wrong ways. Strawhats and the present-on-scene Vegapunks are all immobilized, Luffy run out of energy, Sentomaru got captured, Saturn is holding Bonney and giving order for Marines to shoot at her. One second of hesitation is enough for Bonney to lose her life. And all Kizaru can do now is to be worried about his dear friends and witness them dying. Or perhaps... he could help tip the scales a bit again.
Tumblr media
And in next moment Saturn realized someone gave Luffy food. No one saw Luffy move away, no one is near him either, Strawhats are still immobilized btw (including Sanji and Franky). This thing could have been done only by Caribou or Kizaru, but Kizaru would be faster and indeed impossible to spot if he moved with his speed of light.
Tumblr media
And we can see Kizaru also moved, he's no longer lying down but sitting instead. He doesn't say anything, but he has the "..." thought bubble that looks very distressed (the tore-up border of the bubble is betraying Kizaru's emotions in this scene). Is he perhaps thinking something like "I hope no one will figure it out" or "I think no one should have noticed"? Would be pretty fitting.
Overall it was a good plan, but Luffy didn't restore his strength in time to help Bonney. It was actually Kuma's unexpected arrival that saved her (very touching moment).
Tumblr media
And that's Kizaru's only reaction to Kuma's arrival. His body language shows relief, but his words kinda contradict that.
Tumblr media
Only after Kuma punches Saturn, Sanji, Franky and Vegapunk are "released" from the immobility spell, which causes Sanji to immediately collapse to the ground, apparently. This is the definitive proof that they couldn't have been the ones who helped Luffy before.
Tumblr media
Kizaru's back to "playing around", openly declaring he just wants to test Strawhats growth. Very interesting, considering the situation worsened for the Marines. By all means he should be quick and down to business instead of playing around. Seems he made his decision of how to manage the situation: again, by stalling for time and observing how it all proceeds, while just resorting to "playing around".
Tumblr media
Here though he declares something contradictionary to his behaviour from mere moments ago. Perhaps beause he's speaking to Saturn. He emphasized the point that too many people are around and they need to be quick. But when you're quick you might have to prioritize impact over efficiency (which leaves openings for possible escape - Kizaru wouldn't be able to guarantee every target is actually eliminated).
Tumblr media
Kizaru probably still was hoping to avoid this result, but once he realized he can't save Vegapunk no matter what, he decides it's better if he kills him himself. At least it will be quick with his powers, you know? The least he can do for his friend is to relieve him from his suffering, make sure his death is a bit more humanitarian than slowly bleeding out. Before Saturn actually stabbed Vegapunk, Kizaru was not ready to make this decision btw, always choosing to do something else (go after Strawhats, engage in the fight with Luffy, lying down beaten up).
Tumblr media
This scene further proves my point. Kizaru assures them this is a mercy killing that won't hurt a bit. Because he believes the only alternative would be a very painful death instead. Thankfully him betting on Luffy was a good move, because it's Luffy who stops him here. So it officially looks like Kizaru did everything he could to kill Kuma and Bonney, but the enemy stopped him, so the end result can't be blamed on Kizaru. He's doing that dance between stalling the fight and avoiding the worst case scenario for most of Egghead's arc.
Tumblr media
"I'm in a real pickle now". Yes, he is indeed. Sanji is cute btw for offering him an easy way out, lol. Kizaru will still have to write that apology letter to Akainu anyway.
Tumblr media
And finally Luffy sent him flying far, far away, and this time Kizaru doesn't even try to get up anymore. That's it for him. He had to kill Vegapunk with his own hands and I think he didn't expect how big of a toll it will take on him. Luffy in a way provided him another easy way out of the situation, because if Kizaru just stays here and hopes for the Strawhats to take Bonney to safety, then at least he would have saved her.
So this is what I believe Kizaru was trying to do all this time. Avoid killing Vegapunk somehow (though he knew there was a really slim chance for that, but a man can still hope, right?) and at the very least make sure Bonney won't die on Egghead. Kizaru indeed has a heart, but he also has to make sure not to lose face and he can't really disobey or ditch his responsibilities as a Marine Admiral. But he definitely wasn't lying when he said he was forced to kill his best friend, and he truly wished he wouldn't have to do that.
That being said, I wonder what's his plan from this point onward. Some people suggested he might retire after this, but I think somehow that would erase the whole point of his struggle here, it would make it lose it's meaning. But he definitely showed us a little bit of his rebellious side. Though we need to remember, he ended up being just a circumenstencial ally to Strawhats, at least at this point in time.
What's the moral of this story? NEVER TRUST A "..." THOUGHT BUBBLE. It hides secrets, every. single. time. If Oda delibaretely hides character's thoughts from us, but emphasizes it by using "..." thought bubble, then ask questions, dig deeper, there's something to discover there. Also I don't mean speech bubbles, just thought bubbles. This has been a thing in many other mangas, it's not just a One Piece visual storytelling gimmick. For example, Death Note used that device in exactly same way, pfff.

CHAPTER EIGHT
Chapter Summary: You've made a harrowing discovery, and you can't shake the suspicion that someone you trust is behind everything. Pairing: Bartolomeo x F!Reader Rating: Mature (18+ for the story, referenced NSFW) TW: none in particular this chapter, mentions of the stalking that's going on but that's about it. Ao3 Link: Chapter Eight (4.036 words)
Your heart thundered in your chest. Bartolomeo promised he’d look out for you. He hadn’t mentioned seeing or hearing anything since you asked him to start. How did this get past him? How long could this have been getting past him? You really didn’t want to think that he was failing to keep his promise, so maybe whoever had been getting in stopped for a time, and they were picking back up again now that the weather was warmer. You had to tell Bartolomeo what you found.
The racing in your mind should have ended there. You should have closed the window and just hoped that the fan being on would be enough and wouldn’t blow around stale, hot air. You should have gone back to bed, ready to talk to Bartolomeo in the morning.
Instead, you leaned out the window, peering down the fire escape, wondering how someone could even get up to your floor without anyone noticing. Though it was hard to tell for sure, the ladder at the bottom looked too high off the ground. The average person would need to get a little creative to reach it. Although, on the subway commute you’d seen pretty tall locals, so it wasn’t that it was impossible to reach without having one’s own equipment or by exerting a bit of effort. Just unlikely.
As you leaned back in and closed the window, a tiny voice in the back of your mind piped up: Barto could reach that ladder.
You froze. No. No, that was highly unlikely. Bartolomeo wasn’t the type to do something like that. No way. He was kind to you, protective even, and... and he knocked that guy’s teeth in today!
He showed up with pretty convenient timing.
He could have just been out running errands. It was lucky that he showed up like that.
Your stuff stopped going missing for a little while after you asked him to help. How long was it before things got weird again?
Bartolomeo tricked a creep into drugging himself, he wouldn’t stoop so low as to be a creep!
Unless he was protecting something he thought was already his.
No. No, no, no.
You slowly sank to the floor, your face in your hands. There was no way that all this time, Bartolomeo had been stalking you. You felt nauseous at the thought. He’d been so kind, and supportive — he was your friend for fuck’s sake! No. You just weren’t thinking straight. You were panicking over some fucking debris on the floor, that could have come from anywhere.
Luffy hopped down from the bed and approached, purring and nuzzling your ankles. In his little kitty mind, he was trying to ask why you hadn’t come back to bed, because since you weren’t going to the kitchen to feed him, it was obviously still bed time. Then, when he leaned into your palm as you reached for him, he gradually became aware of your distress. You started making sniffling sounds, like the ones he’d done when he had gotten a little sick. He began to purr louder — purring always helped him, maybe it would help you.
You scooped up Luffy into your arms, petting him against your chest. His purring softened for a moment before picking back up, and you gradually felt the panic leave you. There was no way Bartolomeo was the one who’d been breaking in. It couldn’t have been him.
Right?
...It was too late at night to keep dwelling on the thought. You set the fan against the window — if it opened, surely the fan would be knocked over — and turned it on, carrying yourself and your cat back into bed.
Your paranoia would have to wait until morning to be sorted out. You needed a clear head to do so.
Vivi snapped her fingers in front of your face a few times. “Hello? Anyone home?”
You jumped, shaking your head free of the image of the debris in your bedroom. “Sorry, what were you saying?”
She propped her elbows up on the table and placed her chin in her hands. “I asked if you’re okay. You’ve been extra quiet today.”
You nodded, picking at your takeout lunch. “I’m fine. Just... distracted.”
“Over Bartolomeo again?” Drake asked, sipping at his coffee.
“No,” you said a bit too quickly, turning pink. “Sort of.”
Vivi cocked her head. “What’d he do? I thought you guys were doing the ‘just friends’ thing.”
“We are. He didn’t do anything.” You tapped your fingers on the table. “Or he did... guh, I dunno.”
Vivi stared at you expectantly. Drake eyed you suspiciously over his glasses.
You sighed. “After I moved in, someone started breaking into my apartment.” You scratched the back of your neck, avoiding their surprised gazes. “Barto said he’d keep an eye out, and it seemed to stop for a while. I figured he had it handled. But just last night I noticed something that makes me think the break-ins didn’t stop.”
“Do you think he’s been missing whoever’s doing it?” Vivi asked.
Before you could answer, Drake read your mind. “You think he might be the one doing it, don’t you.”
You shrank back, putting your face in your hands. “I don’t know what to think.”
Drake took another drink of his coffee. “Well let’s start with why you would think that.”
You sighed again, running a hand through your hair. “He seems kinda protective of me, the more I think about it. Like what he did at the bar, and then yesterday...” You again avoided eye contact. “He might’ve. Beaten some guy to a pulp for harassing me.”
Vivi’s brows ticked upward. “Wow, really? I would’ve thought that would be more reason not to suspect him.”
“That’s the thing,” you continued. “It was when I was going home. Bartolomeo and I — we weren’t even hanging out. He just... happened to show up.”
Drake’s frown deepened. “Sounds a little too convenient, if you ask me.”
You nodded. “Exactly. And when I think about it, the times I noticed that something was off in my apartment line up with times when he’s been home.”
“Then that settles it!” Vivi jumped up, her hands splayed out on the table. “It’s gotta be him!”
“Slow down,” Drake said, putting an arm on her shoulder to coax her back into her chair. “What would make you think it’s not him?”
You fidgeted in your seat. “Well, he’s been so nice. He comes across as this tough, scary guy, but you should see how he plays with Luffy. He even calls him ‘Mister Luffy’ in this tiny voice I didn’t even know he could do. He’s been helping me keep him secret from the landlord. And he works at that bar partly because he’s helping out his friend’s grandmother. He’s kind of... tender, y’know?”
Drake cocked an eyebrow, silently prodding with a look that said “That’s the best excuse you have?”
You relented, “He doesn’t seem tall enough to reach the fire escape. I haven’t had a chance yet to look at it from the ground, but it looks pretty high up.”
Drake nodded. “All right. How far off the ground do you think it is?”
You leaned back in your chair and twisted your lip. “Eight feet? Maybe nine?”
He pushed out his chair and stood. “How tall is Bartolomeo compared to me?”
You eyed him up and down, tilting your head. “Almost the same height. Maybe a little shorter.”
“But that’s just from your memory,” Vivi said as he sat back down. “Maybe Drake could come by and see if he can reach it? Just to make sure.”
“It’s probably best that I don’t,” Drake said, though with a tint of reluctance in his tone. “If he’s the one behind the break-ins, and if he was stalking you home yesterday, it’s better not to let on that you’re on to him. Not yet, anyways.” He finished his coffee and added, “We also don’t know how he’ll react to other people in his territory, for lack of better term. You said he beat someone to a pulp yesterday?”
You flushed at the memory of Bartolomeo’s shirt and knuckles splattered with blood, quickly nodding your head to dispel the image.
Vivi piped in, “Didn’t you say Cavendish stood you up?”
You blinked, furrowing your brow. “I did, but what does that have to do with this?”
She leaned forward, glancing around as if anyone aside from the three of you were in the breakroom. “What if Bartolomeo had something to do with that, too?”
After a beat, you shook your head. “That’s too far.”
“No, no, think about it!” Her voice was suddenly hushed. “What if he figured it out somehow? If he’s as protective as you say, then someone going on a date with you would absolutely be a threat to ‘his territory’.” She then sat back, her voice returning to normal volume. “Come on, tell me you don’t see it.”
You turned the thought over in your head for a moment, and it sent a sickening shudder down your spine. You knew if you said “no” that Vivi would call you out on the lie, so instead you moved on. “What should I do? I don’t have enough to prove it’s him to go to someone about it, but I also don’t feel like I have enough to prove to myself that it’s not him.”
The three of you sat in silence for a moment, before a phone alarm chimed. Vivi sighed and stood, silencing her phone with an annoyed grumble. She was stopped from leaving when Drake put his hand on her shoulder again.
“I think for now,” he said, “we should keep this between us. No need to worry anyone else until we know more.”
Vivi’s look of annoyance turned serious, and she gave a short nod. “Right.” She then turned to you, making a zipped-lip motion. “Just keep me posted, okay?”
With that she hurried out of the breakroom, just as an alarm went off on your phone to signal the end of your lunch. As you stood, Drake did as well, though he looked deep in thought.
Finally, as you were both leaving the breakroom, he said, “Test him.”
You frowned. “How?”
He slipped a hand in his pocket, leaning against the threshold. “Get him to say something he shouldn’t know about you. Or get him to do something that needs the fire escape. See how he reacts.”
You thought for another moment then nodded. “Thanks, Drake.”
“Any time.” He pushed off the threshold and gently patted your back. “Keep us in the loop. You know anyone here will come running if you need help.” He then smiled, adding, “That’s what friends are really for.”
Bartolomeo was getting nervous. Something was off about you — you weren’t distant or anything, still making time to chat with him and texting him, but you seemed more... tense. He’d asked a couple of different times if you were okay, and you always answered with a shrug and a smile, saying you were just tired from work. Though he could tell that definitely wasn’t the full story, he didn’t want to push.
His patience seemed to pay off, as one evening you invited him into your apartment again for dinner. You’d said you wanted to repay him for knocking the one jerk’s lights out, and who would he be to resist a chance at dinner with you? Let alone a dinner made by you.
Bartolomeo showed up at your door right on time, again wearing a flannel he’d forgotten about. He wondered if he should invest in some nicer-looking clothes, before shaking the thought away — he never before cared about the way he dressed, and he’d only start caring if you said something.
When you answered the door, his heart melted, seeing you again in the blue sailor dress he liked when you... when that Pretty Boy attempted to go out with you. His heart melted further when you hugged him before leading him inside, his stomach doing backflips at the contact.
“Thanks for coming on short notice,” you said, beaming and heading back into the kitchen.
“No prob,” he said, sitting in the dining chair closest to you. “You don’t have to go through all this effort for me, though.”
“I want to,” you said, again making his heart weak. “I’ve actually been wanting to give you a proper ‘thank you’ for a while. Honestly, probably since I got stood up by...” you paused. Your back was to him as you stirred the pot on the stove, and you tipped your head back in thought. “Shit, what was his name again?”
Bartolomeo’s posture stiffened, and he bit down on his tongue. Pretty Boy. Cavendish. But he wasn’t supposed to know that. “I dunno, you never told me.”
You shrugged before returning your attention to the pot. “Well, either way. You put up with me then, and then you saved my ass the other night. I think that’s more than enough reason to go through the effort.”
He smiled. “Whatever you say, sweetheart.”
Something in the back of his mind, however, began to gnaw at him. He started chatting your ear off to stop thinking about it.
Part way through your conversation about the difficulty of mahjong in Yakuza 0, it started pouring rain. You cussed, taking half a step away from the stove before freezing, then looking over your shoulder. “Can you do me a favor? I don’t wanna leave this alone.”
Bartolomeo jumped up from his seat. “Sure — you need me to watch it?”
“No, no, that’s fine,” your eyes then flicked toward the hallway. “I just left my fan in the fire escape window. Do you think you could pull it in and close it?”
He nodded, turning his body instinctively toward the hall and taking a step toward your bedroom, before freezing. His brow then furrowed — would it be weird that he already knew which room the fire escape was in? By process of elimination it wouldn’t be hard to figure out, but... something felt wrong about immediately going for your bedroom.
“Which room is it in?” he asked, trying to ignore the hairs standing on his neck.
And then he saw it. Your shoulders sank just slightly, and your gaze softened. Like you were relieved that was his response. “It’s in the bedroom. Just down the hall and to the left.” You then pointed accusingly at him with a slotted spoon and grinned. “Don’t go poking your nose where it doesn’t belong.”
Bartolomeo nodded again, heading for the bedroom and being careful not to trip over Luffy on the way there. He opened the door and hesitated, glancing around. It was the first time you’d willingly let him into your bedroom, and he tried not to think too hard on how you’d looked at him — maybe you were just relieved he was doing you a favor.
As he pulled the box fan out of the window frame and slid the pane shut, something falling to the floor caught his eye.
Flakes of chipped paint and bits of rust, littering the floor by the fire escape.
Fuck.
“Everything okay in there?” you called.
“Yeah, just. Distracted.” He quickly set the fan down over top of the debris and hurried back out, looking just a hair paler.
You cocked your head at him. “You feeling okay?”
He nodded, sitting back down. “I’m fine. You’re room’s just... cute.”
You gave him that thousand-sun smile, a faint blush in your cheeks as you continued cooking. “Thank you. Food’s almost done.”
The rest of the evening went surprisingly smooth, especially considering Bartolomeo was now paranoid that you were catching on to something he really didn’t want you catching on to. He didn’t think that you noticed the debris — after all, it could have been something that just happened. But that little gnawing feeling in the back of his mind told him that it may have been happening for a while, and he wasn’t as good at covering his tracks as he thought. Then it hurt him a little, to think that if you did notice it that you didn’t bring it up to him. He pushed that thought aside quickly, deciding that you were far too good to keep something like that secret from him.
Nevermind that the gnawing feeling tried to convince him you were trying to trip him up.
As Bartolomeo laid in bed that night, after jacking off for the umpteenth time since he’d started stalking looking out for you, he worried at his lower lip, his teeth dangerously close to digging in and drawing blood. The solution was easy — just. Back up off the break-ins again.
Far easier said than done.
Meanwhile, your dreams about Bartolomeo ramped up in frequency. Sometimes he came to you as the beast-like creature, his mouth dripping with blood and drool. He always brought gifts, your tired mind’s way of accounting for the weight of a kitten on your chest. He’d so far brought a heart, a hand, and something that shifted between being a head and a liver.
There was once when he appeared normal, grinning at you like he’d just seen the sun for the first time. It was a smile offset by the broken skin on his knuckles, and the red stains on his shirt and the cuffs of his jeans. It was arguably a more unsettling dream than the monster ones, as he then approached and talked to you like nothing was wrong.
And those were just the dreams where he wasn’t fucking you. Over the kitchen counter, on the couch, in your bed, in what your brain could only imagine as his bedroom. Always moaning “mine” in your ear and leaving bite marks on your shoulders. To your immense frustration, you always woke up before you came.
Apparently, the efforts you had made to try and prove his innocence weren’t enough for your nerves to settle down. You decided to try one more idea.
After much further deliberation, you had a plan. It was pay-day, but you already declined to go out for the usual drinks. You were texting Bartolomeo when he told you that, by some miracle, he didn’t have to work, and you were going to try something a little riskier. That morning you made sure Luffy’s gravity feeder had enough food and his water fountain was still running and full, so you knew he’d be okay by himself for a little longer than usual. Then, during your shift, you pulled Robin aside. After explaining the situation to her, with only the slightest bit of judgment that you didn’t come to her sooner about the part where you worried about a stalker in the first place (though she figured you had your reasons), she listened to your plan.
“I need you to hold on to my apartment keys.”
She nodded, holding her hand out. “What are you going to do?”
“I’m going to see if Barto’s tall enough to reach the fire escape.” You shuffled through your purse and handed them over. “If he can reach it and unlock my apartment from within, then that might be enough to prove he’s been breaking in this whole time.”
“What if he says no? Or it turns out he can’t reach it?”
“I’ll text you and ask if you can swing by the archives to get them when you guys are done with drinks.” You shrugged, blushing faintly as you added, “I’ll hang out with him until then.”
Robin considered for a moment, before nodding again and dropping your keys into her purse. “If he does agree to help, what’ll you do then?”
You paused, frowning. You hadn’t thought quite that far ahead.
Robin could sense as much, and gently took one of your hands. “If he does it, still text me. I’ll come get you and you can stay with me for a little while until we figure it out.”
You stared at her with wide eyes, then tears began to prickle in your periphery. Without much warning you hugged her. “Thanks, Robin.”
She laughed, lightly hugging you back. “You don’t have to thank me. If this will bring you peace of mind, I want to help you. Rooster’s been good to you, so I hope he’s not behind all this.” She then held you back by the shoulders and gave you a look that sent chills down your spine. “And if he is, I’ll castrate him.”
Bartolomeo heard loud cursing right after the elevator ding. He looked out the peephole to see you digging through your purse, cussing up a storm and bemoaning, “How the hell did I lose them?!”
He opened his door a crack and leaned out. “You good?”
You huffed, frowning. “No, I’m not. I can’t find my keys.”
“Oh, shit.” He fully stepped out and shut his door, trying to subtly lean over and see into your purse. “Where’d you last see them?”
“I don’t know,” you groaned. “I think I forgot them in my work locker. Fuck.”
He couldn’t see them either, not from the angle he had. “Maybe the landlord can let you in?”
“And risk him finding Luffy?”
“...you got me there.”
“So, short of breaking and entering, I’m not getting in until I find my keys.” You pulled out your phone and started texting, before you paused. “You wouldn’t happen to know how to lockpick, do you?”
He scratched the back of his neck. “I might. But it’ll risk messin’ up your lock and you’ll have to pay for a new key.”
“Damn,” you huffed, then eyed him up and down. “...Do you know where the fire escape is from the outside?”
He froze. “Uh—”
“Maybe you could climb up and get in for me? Open it from the inside?”
Fuck. Shit. Shit shit shit FUCK. Panic slithered through Bartolomeo’s veins, and he tried to look anywhere but your face. You were on to him. You had to be. Why else would you ask him this? No — no, this was innocent enough. You did say short of breaking in, so maybe you had — what was the word? an epiphany? — or whatever. But... if you were on to him, and he did as you asked, how long would he have before you left him high and dry? Or worse?! After all the work he’d put into knowing you — shit, he was taking too long to answer!
“I dunno,” he said. “Those ladders are pretty high off the ground. I’m pretty sure I can’t reach them.”
You deflated. “Well, how tall are you?”
He swallowed. “Seven-three.”
“Come on, that’s plenty tall enough!” You looked up at him with puppy eyes. “Please? Can’t you try?”
Bartolomeo almost cursed you for having such pretty eyes. How dare you use them against him like this? With every ounce of resistance he had, he shook his head. “I don’t think that’s a good idea. Even if I could, I don’t wanna break the window tryin’ to open it from the outside.”
You stared at him for several long seconds, your eyes searching his face. He really hoped you couldn’t see the sweat forming on his brow. Please stop lookin’ at me with those eyes. Please, please, please I’m beggin’ you.
You sighed, finally looking down. “Okay, fair enough.” You then returned to texting. “I’ll see if Robin can bring them to me. I think she has keys to the archives.”
He let out the breath he’d been holding, passing it off as a sigh of his own. Another few seconds and he would’ve broke. His mind then circled back around — you couldn’t be on to him. You just couldn’t be. And if you were, how was he going to gain back your trust?
“Shit,” you hissed. “That’s right, it’s pay-day. I wanted to skip out on drinks tonight, but Robin’s still going. She doesn’t know when she’ll get to the archives.”
After a moment, Bartolomeo realized the opportunity before him. Not only could he regain your trust, but maybe... just maybe...
“You wanna hang out at my place for a bit?”

one piece x male reader
i nearly killed somebody,
don't you mind? don't you mind?
i gave you something you can never give back,
don't you mind?
『 prev 』
they just narrowly escaped the marines that were chasing them, but were still on the run in case they caught up. if you add on the emotional distress the entire situation caused the straw hats, then they were all beyond exhausted.
thankfully, as they were running through the town, chopper had picked up on their scent. and now he was riding on top of a giant crab. [name] didn’t know where he got it from, but he was going to be thankful either way. his eyes turned into stars as he realized that it was a crab…something edible.
”sanji, sanji, do you think we can eat him later?” the question was enough to make the chef hum in thought and chopper’s jaw drop in astonishment.
“don’t eat him! he’s helping us!”
“i meant after he was done helping us, i’m hungry, that’s all,” [name] said, trying to justify his question to the young reindeer. but chopper wasn’t hearing him out at all. simply muttering under his breath how heartless and food driven [name] was.
“[name]’s right, it looks real yummy,” luffy said, also salivating to the thought of eating the crab.
just as [name] began to laugh and relax as they were getting away, vivi’s screams echoed in the air. he whipped his head around, searching for what she had begun yelling about. and when he saw that she was starting to get whisked away by a hook, he cursed under his breath.
him and luffy acted first, but zoro held [name] back. the man fought against his grip, but then realized why he was stopped. zoro recognized the fact luffy was able to stretch and switch places with vivi whereas [name] wouldn’t have been able to really do anything.
so he watched as luffy selflessly replaced vivi’s position and threw the princess back at the crab. [name] caught her, but his eyes were still trained on luffy. he held his hand out, shouting, “come on, luffy! grab on!!”
“no! i’m gonna beat this guy’s ass!” luffy shouted defiantly, making [name] grit his teeth, “make sure you deliver vivi back to her home!!!”
[name] wanted to chase after luffy, but the sure smile that his captain had on his face made him stop himself. [name] restrained vivi, holding her tight as she desperately tried reaching for luffy as well.
luffy’s eyes were trained on [name] the entire time, smile so wide that his pearly whites were visible to [name] despite being so far. as if he was trying to show to [name] he’d be fine.
“luffy!!” [name] shouted, the veins in his neck protruding, “you deal with him and then you come right back, okay?! no fucking around!!!”
“of course!” luffy answered within seconds, as if he anticipated it — like he knew a warning from [name] was coming. [name]’s threatening tone only made his smile grow wider. and when [name] heard his reply, he slumped down where he sat and tried to make himself feel satisfied with the answer.
no matter who the opponent was, even if they were stronger, luffy would find his way back to the rest of his crew. [name] assured himself of that fact, thinking of all the times luffy went and did something stupid like this when they were children. he’d always emerge with new wounds, but at least he came home.
“that idiot,” [name] said under his breath. his arms were still flexed around vivi and caging her in, so she wouldn’t go to luffy.
“once the royal army and the rebel army meet, this land, will be done for. this country’s only hope, vivi, is you! if anything, you’re the only one that matters right now, you have to survive. no matter what might happen to any us, from now on!” zoro tried easing vivi’s worries, reminding her of her duties as princess. she couldn’t spend her time thinking of luffy when she had a whole country to save.
sanji smirked, walking ahead and standing towards the head of the crab, “vivi-chan, you might have started this fight, the one who challenged this unknwonn organization, all on your own. however, don’t go around thinking that you’re fighting this alone now.”
in comparison to sanji and zoro’s very confident tones, usopp spoke up in a shaky tone, “d-d-d-don’t worry, vivi!!! captain u-usopp will take care of everything!!”
[name] stifled his laughter, hiding his grin behind the hand that was resting on his forehead. vivi, who was still in his arms, turned her head back to luffy and shouted out to him, “luffy-san!! we will be waiting for you in alubarna, okay?!”
luffy’s laughter echoed in the air, “yeah!!”
[name] held her in his arms, feeling her body shake. he rubbed up and down her back, trying to ease her worries, before standing up. she looked at him in confusion, but he could only grin back at her.
“if luffy says he’s gonna beat crocodile’s ass, he’s gonna do it.” [name] said simply, turning around and sitting next to chopper instead. if he was going to kill time, he wanted to be cuddled up with the fluffy crewmate instead. maybe he’d even be able to catch some sleep.
and with chopper as his pillow, anything was possible. so he shut his eyes and soon fell into slumber. nami looked at [name] in annoyance, wondering how he could be so calm when something so stressful was happening.
the rest of the crew began to think of how to plan for their entrance to alubarna. as they talked, they allowed [name] to rest, although zoro did want to hit him awake several times.
he somehow slept through the carb travelling through the water, until he was completely submerged in it.
“what? is it still night?” he asked, swiping his wet hair out from his face. the crew gave him an incredulous look, which he ignored, and he just yawned into his hand. “why are we swimming?”
just as the crew were all going to collectively yell at him for being so absent, they were all rushing forward with the speed of a boat. [name] blinked lazily as his hand was making motions underwater. in seconds, the crew had reached the shore.
[name] stretched once they reached land and looked at the crew, “well? let’s get going then, since you guys are in such a rush,” a flurry of insults were thrown his way, colorful language used in each one, but he just turned his back to them, “i was sleepy, you can’t blame me,”
“just shut up!!” nami shouted, bonking him in the head.
“wait, no i hear something,” [name] said, ignoring the shouting woman, which only aggravated her even more.
everyone turned and saw that there was actually something approaching. it started as a dust cloud, but as they got closer, vivi was able to make out what it was.
“that’s karoo!! and the supersonic duck squadron!”
[name] bursted out laughing, “what the fuck is that?!” his howling laughter was heard throughout the desert and he only stopped once the supersonic duck squadron were in front of them.
“well, now we just need a plan,” zoro smirked, crossing his arms over his chest.
“and you’re capable of doing that…right…” [name] said under his breath, voice trailing off as his expression showed that he didn’t think zoro would even be able to think of a plan. his comment made usopp and chopper hold back their giggles.
“i’ll cut you up! seriously!” zoro threatened, the shine of his blade glinting in the moonlight.
“jokes, jokes!” [name] said, but zoro definitely wasn’t convinced.
“let’s get back on track,” nami spoke in a deathly calm voice, “zoro’s right, we do need a plan and [name]’s right, zoro definitely shouldn’t be the one to form said plan,”
zoro’s forehead was littered with angry tick marks.
“alright then this is how it’ll go,” nami said, making everyone gather around her in a circle. she spoke with confidence, laying out the plan she had been thinking of to the rest of her crewmates.
in the end, it was decided that they’d all pretend to be vivi to throw off the awaiting baroque works members. all except for the actual princess and [name]. those two would wait out the distraction ploy, then charge in on their own ducks to go straight to the royal palace.
now everyone was wearing identical white robes over their regular clothing, covering the bottom half of their face for extra protection. [name] grinned in excitement, eager to start and end this long awaited fight. with him acting as vivi’s protector, though, he still had to play it smart.
he couldn’t get too eager or else she might get injured. and that was definitely the last thing anyone wanted.
“if she comes back with the littlest of bruises, [name], so help me-”
“i get it, i get it,” [name] sighed, rubbing his forehead at sanji’s nagging.
“do you?! this is vivi-chan’s life at stake, be on your best game in protecting her — even if it means risking you life!!” sanji shouted, showing his obvious favoritism towards vivi.
fake crocodile tears streamed down [name]’s face, “after all we’d been through sanji, i’d hope you’d be more concerned for me,” he whined, weakly punching the blonde in the chest.
the chef rolled his eyes, turning away and hopping onto his own speedy duck. [name] wished all of them good luck, climbing onto the back of karoo, with vivi in front and steering. he shot them a wide grin and thumbs up.
“you got this, everyone!! beat their asses!” [name] cheered, earning shouts of agreement, and fear, in return. and in a second, they were all racing off, leaving [name] and vivi in the dust.
then the h/c haired male held onto vivi’s waist, the princess directing them to a completely different entrance way to the capital. karoo was running as fast as he could, quacking every now and then. eventually, they had reached a completely different side of the kingdom. karoo ran right in front of the entrance, to properly stop the rebel army from entering.
[name] hopped off first and then assisted vivi, sighing as he could feel the trembling off the sand beneath their feet. there were so many soldiers that were coming. his glare hardened when he saw them all having their weapons raised, ready to draw blood.
[name] took a seat, propping his arm up on his knee as he waited for vivi to start her intervention.
in his mind, trying to project your voice towards an entire brigade of soldiers was useless. there’d be no way they could hear her over their trampling steps, even if they did, there was little chance that they’d actually be able to stop for her.
[name] squinted at the crowd, lowly whistling when he saw how many of them were charging. he sighed, standing up and holding his hand out.
no matter how stupid he thought it was or how pointless it all seemed, there’s no way he’d let vivi be trampled by all these people. and if they weren’t going to even stop to listen to her, then he’d force them to.
his hand was outstretched, palm facing the people. and his face was stoic as he concentrated as hard as he could in stopping the swarm. just when he thought his focus was completely locked in, a sudden bang and cloud of smoke cut him off.
he grit his teeth, looking up at the royal army who had just fired a canonball into the charging army. he cursed in his head, “those bastards, i had them!!”
but trying to refocus and stop them all now, with how close they were, it was useless. so he thought fast, “sorry, karoo!!” he shouted right before he tossed the bird up into the air, “i hope you can fly!”
just as vivi was about to shout at him, he tackled her down to the ground. his elbows were propped up on either side of her head, his legs completely covering her own as his torso shadowed over her face.
“don’t look so scared, princess,” he grinned, keeping his arms flexed and strong so that his positioning wouldn’t falter at all. “i won’t allow you to get hurt, not now, not ever!”
she looked up at him in fear, the sound of the stampede’s footsteps echoing in her ears. the ground beneath them was shaking violently now more than it ever was before. and when her wide blown eyes stared back at him, she couldn’t believe how he could so calmly smile at her.
and then it happened. all the hooves of the camels were beating down into [name]’s back, making him grunt at the pain. he bit his lip, hard, to suffocate any sounds that were threatening to come out.
vivi grabbed onto his robes, trying to push him off of her as he was taking the blunt force of all their steps. but he didn’t budge. not even when she began beating on his chest and crying for him to move out of the way, he stayed completely still. it was as if his body was glued to the ground and was rooted there like a tree.
it felt like hours, for [name]. the pain of their hooves breaking into his skin, the repeated actions. it really did hurt. but he couldn’t move, he wouldn’t allow himself to. vivi was right underneath him and if he moved even an inch over, she’d get hurt.
so he smiled through the pain, laughing almost as he saw the concern etched so obviously across vivi’s features. and when the crowd eventually passed over, he collapsed next to her, the smile still plastered on his face.
“that’s a pretty big army,” he breathed out, coughing blood onto the sand next to his hand, “man, i really hope karoo can fly,”
“[name]!” she cried out, rushing to his side and moving her hands to his face, “don’t worry about karoo, you-your back has-”
“i’m fine,” he grunted, waving his hand, “are you alright?”
“of course, i’m fine!” she shouted at him, her worry turning into anger, “why?! why did you do that?!”
[name] began laughing, putting his hand on his stomach — to ease the pain but also because it was that hilarious to him.
“why? to protect you, obviously,”
her eyes filled with tears, but she shook her head to rid herself of them, “will you be alri-”
“don’t even ask, that wasn’t even anything,” he said, sitting upright, “i’ve been through worse and i’ll go through worse if it means you’ll stay safe. now, let’s focus on getting to the palace. where’s karoo?”
vivi remained silently, her hands clenched in her lap at [name]’s selfless statement. “i’ll go through worse” he said so confidently and casually. it echoed in her mind. and all she could think about was how quick this war needed to be finished.
she couldn’t just keep allowing the straw hat crew to take care of her messes. luffy sacrificing himself to fight against crocodile, [name] giving up his body in order to protect hers — she’d had enough. enough of being looked out for.
a mighty quack answered that question for him and the duo turned their heads. vivi was knocked out of her daydream when she saw the state karoo was in. his feathers were barely touched by the rampaging swarm of soldiers, his wings were proudly held high in the air, and he was shouting for their attention.
“then, vivi-”
“vivi, [name]!!! this is where you guys are!!”
[name] lifted his head, seeing usopp’s face in the sunlight. he was grinning ear to ear, seemingly happy to have finally met up with the two.
“ah, usopp,” [name] said, in relief, “let me hop on the back of that camel, mighty duck over here needs to be as fast as possible when he takes vivi,”
“usopp-san!” vivi cheered in delight.
“no problem, [name]! let’s go already!” usopp cried in urgency, “vivi, come on! we can’t waste anymore time!”
vivi turned to karoo, nodding her head as if in agreement with usopp. she was about to climb onto her duck, who was eager to get running. her back was turned to usopp and [name], a gentle smile on her face.
she mounted karoo, turning around to [name] and usopp, about to tell them she was ready, but she was instead greeted by the sight of [name] holding his sheathed sword to usopp’s neck. a drastic change in demeanor was surrounding [name].
“so mosshead really wasn’t lying,” [name]’s deep voice drawled, disinterest laced in his tone, “it’s really identical, huh?”
“woah, woah, [name]!! what’s the big deal?!” usopp cried out, kneeling in front of [name] with his hands in the air, “what’s going on?!”
“vivi, ask usopp to show his proof,” [name] spoke, the end of his sword dangerously close to usopp’s nose. testily, he pressed it onto the tip, watching with careful eyes of usopp’s reaction.
and instead of batting [name]’s weapon away and yelling something like, “don’t mess with my nose, bastard,” the man instead stayed completely silent. he didn’t even flinch from [name]’s weapon, simply staying put and maintaining eye contact.
as if that were the right thing to do.
vivi gulped, understanding the situation now. “usopp-san, prove yourself,” she said carefully, watching for his actions.
confidently, the sniper lifted his arm and showed off the bandage, “you doubt me? that’s alright, look!!” he waved it about in the air, making [name] scoff.
“vivi, run! now!!” [name] shouted, swinging his arm back and about to dutifully decapitate the man’s head. but it seemed the imposter had wonderfully fast reflexes as he flipped himself far away from [name]’s deadly weapon.
vivi did as she was told, urging karoo to run ahead and left [name] and the impostor to stand in their dust. [name] didn’t remove his eyes from the man who still had usopp’s face.
“oi! i’m your opponent, take your eyes off of her,” he said, smirking in delight at the idea of being able to freely spill his enemy’s blood, “if you don’t look at me,” he used soru, appearing in front of the man in an instant, “it might cost you your life!”
a finger was jabbed into “usopp’s” side and it caused him to stumble backwards. [name] looked at him in satisfaction, licking his lips as blood began to immediately poor out of the wound.
“ohh, that’s a shame!” usopp said, clutching the hole in his abdomen, “i thought i was pretty spot on,”
finally, the man revealed his true face. it was a man with heavy make up, a ballet outfit on, and a jacket that had swan wings extending outwards. the interesting appearance made [name] tilt his head in interest.
“pretty,” he said offhandedly, effectively catching the man off guard.
“really? you think so?” the man said bashfully, waving his hand at [name] in attempts to win him over.
[name] smirked, dashing forward and punching the man’s legs, making him kneel on the ground. and now that the man was at his hip level, he was able to knee him in the face, “definitely not! idiot!”
the man’s body went flying away. and [name] used that time to run to catch up to vivi and karoo. annoyingly, though, the man he was fighting against was very fast in regaining composure.
he could hear him running closely behind. so [name] turned his body around and stuck out his arm, effectively making the man run into his limb, causing him to flip in the air a couple of times and then fall flat on his face.
“fuck off already!” [name] shouted, trying to slam his fist into the ballerina’s face. in the last second, though, the man moved aside and went to kick [name] in the face. with a look of disgust, [name] easily dodged it and grabbed the man’s shin. a dark look was on his face as he grimaced at the enemy, “you want me to break your leg?”
the ballerina tried gaining control over his leg, but [name] had a tight grip on him. his knuckles were white, his hand shaking in anger, “hm, i don’t think that’s sufficient enough though,” he hummed, genuinely thinking of how to maim the man, “vivi…she’s suffered for so long because of you idiots! you’ve ruined her country,”
[name] twisted the skin of the man’s leg, making him yowl in pain and writhe on the floor. his screams were high pitched, making [name] cringe. he mindlessly threw him away in some direction, as if he were trash.
“i can’t waste my time on lowlives like you,” [name] grinned, seeing the dust cloud that erupted from the body he had just thrown. he turned around when he saw that the man couldn’t get up and ran off towards vivi.
he saw a staircase up to the city, moaning in annoyance as he saw how high it was. he shook his head, pushing forward, reminding himself that after they saved this city, they’d have all the food and water in the world.
so he used soru multiple times, trying to conserve his actual fighting energy into protecting vivi. when he heard the royal guards beginning to yell, going on about how someone was charging at them, but he blocked them out.
“someone capture him!! he’s apart of the rebel army!”
“like hell i am!” [name] shouted in annoyance, punching one of the guards that were charging at him. they slammed down onto the floor at the intensity of the punch, the ground cracking beneath their head.
he looked at the crowd, clicking his tongue once he saw that it was all just a mess. everyone was out for blood and there were bodies laying everywhere. he cursed under his breath.
just as someone else was going to slash his head, he jumped up in the air and kicked their face in. using that as leverage, he jumped off of them and into the air. and the process repeated. he kept kicking up and up into the air, projecting himself forward simply using the air beneath his feet.
some onlookers got distracted mid-fight as they watched the man seemingly “fly” through the sky. their enemies took advantage of that, slicing them down. and [name], who was in the sky was too busy searching for a princess with blue hair, didn't pay any mind to those around him.
which is why he missed the sniper that was hiding out in one of the buildings.
a bullet lodged itself into his abdomen, making him lose focus on his technique and causing him to fall from the sky. he cursed at the inconvenience, putting his hand on his wound and immediately tried to stop blood from overflowing.
his body fell limply to the floor, making him spit out some blood onto the ground beside him.
“the cursed orphan, set sail three years ago from his home— no, from foosha village that he had lived on for the past 7 years before leaving at the age 17. has relations with portgas d. ace and monkey d. luffy. the main caretaker that had watched over you is dadan, apart of the mountain bandits. occasional visits from makino the bartender, as well as the mayor.” the voice drawled out, their shoes clicking against the stone road.
they were in a secluded street, the shouts of the main fight being nothing but background noise.
“you lived on foosha village due to garp sending you there in hopes of you getting a normal childhood, prior to that you were on board the red hair pirates ship, the captain shanks acting as your mentor. that is where you obtained that cloth on your wrist,” a boney finger pointed at the black material on [name]’s wrist, “as well as that sword,”
“you're leaving out a pretty important detail,” [name] grunted, propping himself up on his elbows to glare at the figure, “when the fuck are you gonna get off my back, you dog?!”
“when you’re dead, of course!”
standing above [name], a tall lanky figure wearing all black stood above his bleeding body. he had a sniper rifle strapped to his back and a large dagger resting on his hip. a rigged scar stretched from the bridge of his nose, blinding his right eye, and ending near his skull, the right ear he would’ve had was completely missing. a trench coat that almost touched the ground, combat boots that made an annoying clacking sound every time he stepped anywhere. he was skinny and lanky, standing at least two feet taller than [name].
“if they really want to kill me that badly, they should’ve sent someone worth while,” [name] grunted, letting his hand fall from his bleeding abdomen to push himself off of the ground. “thought i was wanted only alive, though?” the teasing tone in [name]’s voice made the face grimace in front of him.
“special orders, i get to be the one to assassinate you,” he drew the dagger on his side, a sadistic grin on his face. “i’ve been promoted now, there’s been a lot of change since you’ve left us. we’ve got a whole operation squad made to kill you! haha!!”
[name] looked unimpressed, a bored look on his face, “if it gives me more of an excuse to kill you dogs, then i don’t care.”
“remember your place, [name]!! who’s the one with the real control here?!” the voice shouted in anger, not enjoying the way his taunting remarks didn’t affect [name] at all.
“don’t make me laugh, we’re on different levels completely,” [name] smirked, shooting the blood that coated his hands towards the figure, successfully slashing into his cheek. he rushed forward, disarming the man from his dagger immediately, “don’t you remember who used to kick your ass during our training days together?! answer me, kosuke!!”
[name] voice lowered as he pressed himself closer to his assassin, “don’t you remember who’s the one who gave you that ugly scar?”
the sharp dagger pressed into kosuke’s skin, making [name] grin in delight as a marbled drop of crimson fell from the point he pierced, “come on, tell me, i wanna know!!”
“Eradication of Subject 0001: a strictly confidential mission that the World Government hopes to complete with swift professionalism. The goal to publicly execute [REDACTED] D. [name]. Those employed to take on this task are a small group of individuals who are believed to be able to match or out-do the subject’s prowess. The group was hand selected by Admirals Aokiji, Kizaru, and Akainu, as well as input coming from Vice-Admiral Garp.
MISSION IS STRICTLY ON A NEED-TO-KNOW BASIS. INFORMATION LEAKED TO ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE ALLOWED PERSONNELL WILL BE DEALT WITH ACCORDINGLY.”
the scarred man moved quickly, pushing [name] off of him with enough force that it made [name]’s feet skid on the ground beneath him.
“shut up!!”
“ooh, someone’s angry,” [name] teased, smirking as he saw the man equip himself with his sniper, “say, you should be thanking me,”
[name] abruptly moved his body in different directions to dodge the bullets, “i’m the reason why your aim is so good, aren’t i? permanently shut that eye for you so your other in always in focus, haha!!”
his laughter echoed at the poorly made joke, obviously not taking the fight seriously. this only made kosuke more eager to injure [name], more than he already has.
“just give it up, kosuke, you’re never going to be stronger than me,” [name] grinned, pressing his hand to his wound, “you’re pretty idiotic for even maiming me,”
“i’ll kill you before you even have a chance to-”
[name] hand flicked forward and the blood he had pooled in his palm shot forward and pierced through kosuke’s shoulder.
“huh? i couldn’t hear you,” [name] taunted, walking forward with kosuke’s dagger in his hand and ready to stab into his enemy’s flesh.
the assassin clutched his bleeding wound, glaring at [name], “all that confidence, but for what? you can’t even protect your own captain!”
[name]’s movement stilled the moment the words left kosuke’s mouth.
“ha! you didn’t know?!” the man taunted, taking [name]’s surprise to his advantage, “crocodile had killed him only minutes after you guys left him to fight!! it was a pathetic showing, i watched the life drain out of your precious boy’s eyes! there’s no doubt, he’s dead, [name]!”
the light was hitting the silver necklace around [name]’s neck just right to make it look like it was sparkling. that made kosuke’s eyes squint in interest, then a look of realization crossed his face.
[name] still hadn’t moved, but his expression showed nothing. his eyes were devoid of any emotion as his face was stoic, not giving kosuke any idea of what he was thinking.
but if the assassin could have even had a glimpse into [name]’s mind, he would’ve acted on better judgement and ran away from the fight. because the atrocities [name] was mulling over on committing were horrific.

An idea for a senario for the thriller bark arc. What would happen if lil lucky is present when Moria puts luffys shadow into oars and how would the giant zombie react when he finally notices her? Will he remember her or just takes her because he wants her to join his crew?
I had to ignore this one for a few days because I hadn't gotten that far yet and had no idea who tf Oars was lmao
But now I've gotten past that so we're good!
Okay, so with the shadows, Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy's shadows all have this looming feeling of having forgotten something. They're all experiencing that kind of panic you feel when you leave the house and question if you remembered to turn the stove off or not, except they have no idea what they're panicking over. Them seeing Lucky would make them feel like they found what they're looking for, though they're still questioning why they're so invested in this kid but oh well.
During this arc lil Lucky is having a grand old time. She made friends and played dress up with Perona, broke some plates with Cindry, and got invited to be a flower girl at a wedding. Everything is great for her up to this point.
Then Perona brings her along to see Moria put Luffy's shadow into Oars god only knows why she thought that was a good idea, and that's where things start to go awry. Now Lucky is realizing that while she was having fun, everyone else was NOT, and she's starting to feel sick.
She doesn't immediately lose hope after Luffy's shadow gets taken. Yeah, she's getting anxious and scared, but she's holding out hope that Luffy will still be okay. His shadow is struggling in Moria's grasp, so there's still a chance. He can escape and get back to his body, right?!
Usopp, Nami, and Chopper keep trying to swipe her into Kumachi while all of this is going down but keep almost getting caught
Then Luffy's shadow gets put into Oars, and now she's lost hope. She doesn't know that there's a way to get his shadow out, and Luffy's body has already been taken away so she thinks he's gone forever. The second Oars roars, the dam breaks and Lucky starts crying hysterically because she's upset and now also terrified.
Her crying instantly sets off Oars. Lucky crying is enough to make Luffy start throwing hands without question, and that applies to his shadow as well. He might not have Luffy's memories, but he feels this all consuming need to protect that little kid and make her stop crying. This is easier said then done, however, because him picking lil Lucky up only makes her cry more and he can't figure out why.
So what does he do about it? He goes on a rampage in hopes that he will eventually get rid of whatever is making her this upset.
Lucky is physically safe with him, but the emotional distress of being abducted by a zombie giant that sounds and acts like her best friend but isn't is unimaginable.

🔅⚔️The smile of a thousand suns 🔅⚔️
Zolu fanfic (Zoro X Luffy) ⚔️👒
A/N: Thank you for all who liked the first chapter of this fic! There’s a bunch of pre written chapters so you won’t have to wait long! :-)
🌧️🌌Chapter 2: What He Needed🌌🌧️
Luffy woke up feeling as empty as ever.
He thought he couldn’t sleep off the feeling that was haunting him but to no avail. He wanted this feeling gone - no matter what.
With all his energy he had (which still hadn’t fully recovered from last night) Luffy tossed and turned hoping that maybe he just hadn’t woken up fully - no that wasn’t it? - maybe he just hadn’t gotten enough sleep yet? That was a reasonable conclusion.
No - Luffy couldn’t get back to sleep. He stared out into the darkness, the emptyness consuming him. The raven haired boy’s lip began to quiver and tears began to form.
He couldn’t cry over this.
He had to do something.
Despite the cold air - Luffy got out of bed, throwing the layers of blankets that he had been buried under (most likely by zoro) to the floor. He placed his feet on the ground - the feeling of the wooden floor surprised him as he was certain he never took his sandals off.
Stupid zoro.
Luffy walked out onto the deck. The rain was gentle as it hit his skin but the air was as sharp as a knife. There he was, all alone.
Only him and the sky were on each other’s company.
“Please…” luffy muttered to himself as he clenched his fists. “Please give it back.” He continued. He looked up to the gray sky hoping it’d listen.
“PLEASE IM BEGGING PLEASE GIVE IT BACK!” Luffy yelled so desperately at the sky. “I felt so whole…” he began to cry.
“I’d do anything to have that feeling back - please…” Luffy continued, calming down but the aching emptiness in his heart felt deeper than ever. “Gear 5 was my peak…what am I without it?…im nothing.”
“What are you on about?” A voice said - coming from the top of the look out. This voice make Luffy’s stomach drop and his shoulder flinch up like a cat. He didn’t want to turn around. “Look at me.” The strong voice ordered. Luffy disobeyed and couldn’t help but scrunch his face up as if he were about to cry.
The person was actively trying to avoid climbed down from the look out. Each step from his boots made Luffy’s heart pound. A strong hand was put on Luffy’s shoulder.
“Don’t touch me!” He snapped, whipped forward as shoving the hand off his shoulder.
“Well…alright.” It was zoro. Luffy had totally forgotten the swordsman takes the early morning look out shifts. “Luffy…what the hell were you on about?”
Luffy couldn’t bring himself to look up at zoro - he couldn’t talk either, all he could do was clench his fists tightly at the reason he lost his power.
“Get off this ship.” Luffy whispered to himself, rage dripping from his voice.
“What was that? Look you’ve been acting weird all night - what was that about being nothing? You are-“
“I SAID GET THE HELL OFF THIS SHIP!” Luffy snapped.
A sharp silence cut through the air - the only thing that could be heard was the rain. Luffy’s hair was soaked, it was so messy as it began to blow in the breeze. His expression was one of pure anger.
“Luffy-“ zoro muttered in shock.
“YOURE THE REASON I LOST MY POWER!” Luffy continued- his voice so wracked with grief while his nails began to dig into the palms of his hands, which zoro noticed but he couldn’t bring himself to talk back to his captain. “You- You are so - all you do is hold me back!” Luffy began to step forward as of to confront zoro. “You’re the reason I feel like nothing! So listen to me and get the hell off my ship!”
Zoro didn’t say a word.
He looked down at his captain. He saw the frustration and desperation. He wanted to say something he really did but he knew his captain and he knew what he had to do.
“I never want to see you again!” Luffy yelled, he couldn’t hide his crying. “So- so leave this ship - that’s an order!”
Luffy looked completely and utterly distressed.
Zoro nodded without saying a word.
“What’s going on!? Were trying to sleep-“ Nami’s voice exlaimed in annoyance. She, chopper and Ussop had been woken up by the commotion and had gone outside to see what was going on.
“Guys - I don’t think standing out in the rain will do you any good.” Chopper called out.
Luffy stared daggers at Zoro as he began to climb off the ship.
“Where is zoro going?” Ussop asked as he ran to Luffy .
“He’s not coming back.” The cold captain answered.
“What!? Are you insane!?” Nami growled as she grabbed luffy by the shoulders. She looked down to see that Luffy’s arms had gone limp, his hand unclenched and his palms decorated with deep red indents from his nails. “Zoro! Get back here!” Nami ordered.
Zoro ignored her.
“Luffy! Tell him to stop!” She shouted
“He is not welcome on my ship.” Luffy said bluntly.
“Wha-? But zoro- what happened with you two?” Ussop stammered
“He did nothing but hold me back.” Luffy answered before brushing past the crew and back inside.
Nami, ussop and chopper were left in the rain in worry and confusion - they knew zoro was loyal to luffy no matter what but this decision was purely idiotic.
Zoro left the dock, his only goal was to make his way through Wano country on his own - like his past Swordsman, Luffy had isolated himself in the ships kitchen - waiting for things to feel better.
The whole crew was calling for their captain.
Luffy had locked himself in the pantry in the kitchen - it was a place that was under lock and key by Sanji but Luffy had learnt how break in a long while ago. It was a small little room filled with dry food like bread, rice, fruit and all sorts of things.
“Luffy? Where have you gone?” Sanji called as he searched the kitchen - ussop followed behind him.
“If luffy would be anywhere it would be here.” Ussop nodded.
“Do you have any idea what happened between those two?” Sanji asked as he opened every cupboard in the kitchen.
“Nope - they seemed to be getting on just fine last night.”
“Hm - he did seem very clingy to zoro after the fight.” Sanji pondered as he even checked down the plug hole of the sink.
Luffy pressed his ear to the pantry door to listen in carefully.
“I just don’t understand what could have changed.” Ussop replied as he peered into the pantry door - inches away from luffy. In desperation he shuffled away, knocking over shelves of cans and bottles. All the sound caused Sanji to dash to the pantry door and swing it open in anger.
“WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!?” Sanji exclaimed with frustration “how did you manage to get in here!!?”
“Calm it Sanji.” Ussop intervened. “Luffy is everything okay?”
He was cornered. All he could do was look at the two in distraught. He couldn’t talk and even if he could he didn’t know what to say.
“What happened between you and zoro?” Ussop asked, tilting his head to one side. The mere mention of his name makes luffy’s stomach drop.
“Does zoro even know where he’s going?” Sanji added
“STOP SAYING HIS NAME!” Luffy snapped. Both sanji and Ussop flinched back. He tried to storm out of the kitchen but Sanji stood in the way - grabbing his captains shoulders.
“You are acting like a child! We can’t help you if you don’t tell us what’s going on.” Sanji lectured. Luffy turned his head away as he couldn’t bring himself to look as his crew.
“This isn’t something you can help with.” Luffy muttered under his breath.
“Tch- fine.” Sanji scoffed in annoyance. “All your speeches about being a crew mean nothing now then I guess.”
“You don’t understand-“ luffy began.
“You won’t let us understand!” Sanji growled before shoving luffy back.
“Sanji - stop.” Ussop ordered. The blonde rolled his eyes before walking out of the kitchen.
“Nami, chopper and robin have gone to look for Zoro - I’m going with the others to get supplies since it seems we won’t leave in time.” Sanji informed sharply as he walked off.
“Luffy… Sanji is right - we can’t help of you won’t let us.” Ussop said softly.
“It-it’s not that- I can’t.”
“What do you mean you can’t?”
“It’s so hard to explain!” Luffy exclaimed sounding distressed.
“Please…try.”
“I-“ luffy began - although he was interrupted as he saw something outside. It seemed like smoke or mist? No it was clouds.
“What’s wrong?” Ussop asked, turning round to see nothing but the rain outside.
All of a sudden, luffy dashed outside onto the deck. His heart beat pounding. Clouds almost surrounded him as he stumbled around.
“Stop…” luffy gasped as breathing almost became hard to breathe. “Stop it!”
Ussop stepped out onto the deck and looked over as Sanji who looked awfully freaked out.
“STOP TAUNTING ME!” Luffy screamed - he pressed his body against the decks banisters - crying out to the sea.
How sad.
“You know what sanji - I better come with you!” Ussop exclaimed in fear as Luffy’s expression was one of pure anger.
“Yeah I think that’s a good idea!” Sanji nodded. The two scurried off quickly. Luffy slumped to the floor before pressing his hands to his face.
“I’d do anything to get it back…” the defeated captain muttered to himself.
He sat on his own for a while. Not moving. Although he hated being alone, it was for the best right now.
Two hours had passed and luffy was getting hungry- he hadn’t exactly eaten for while. He moved his hands away from his face - the sky had gotten darker and the rain had gotten heaver. The air was thick and all that could be heard was waves below. Even getting up from the deck took so much energy. The breeze was strong and it seemed the harbour of Wano was abandoned.
This was perfect - luffy didn’t exactly want to talk to people.
Carefully he made his way off the ship and kept his gaze down as he wandered the streets to find a restaurant. Every step he took the thought of running into his crew made his stomach churn.
This felt ruined. Truly. There were so many complicated feelings that he couldn’t explain to others - he just couldn’t find the right words. His crew insisted in wanting to understand but it just wasn’t possible…
Eventually, Luffy sound a small little restaurant it had a few people in it. The perfect amount really. Enough to not stand out but few enough not to get overwhelmed. The raven haired boy sat down by the bar as usual with all restaurant he visited.
Luffy ordered a single dish of Oden. That was it.
As he ate, Luffy began to cry. There was no one to share with - well more like steal food from.
But never the less, eating together meant a lot to Luffy even if it was just with one other person. Every second that went by, he wished zoro would walk through the door - stupid zoro.
“You okay?” The bartender asked Luffy.
“Mhh hm.” Luffy sniffed sadly as he ate.
“Let me know if you need anything.” The bartender smiled before tending to other guests.
He needed someone to understand.
he needed zoro.

The harm you do
anon asked: Hello! I'm kind of new here and I saw that requests are open so-If you feel okay with it, Can you make a headcanon with Female! Y/n who did a selfh#rm for really long time and didn't stop until she been noticed doing that by Luffy, Zoro and Whitebeard? Like how would they react to it?
° ∆ -------- ••• ------- ∆ °° ∆ -------- ••• ------- ∆ °
Hi anon and thank you for requesting with us! I don't shy away from these types of asks because I know for some, it is very cathartic to read, including myself. I do hope you enjoy!
>Admin T
Warning/tags: Explicit mention of self-harm, in detail description of self-harm, blood, and sadness. If you do not or can not handle these types of scenarios, please do not read this.
° ∆ -------- ••• ------- ∆ °° ∆ -------- ••• ------- ∆ °
Zoro
Zoro, I'd feel, would understand. Not the physically hurting oneself part, but the sadness, the self loathing part.
When he noticed the harsh, bloody line on your thighs, he knew that you had done it to yourself. Something so precise couldn't be an accident.
It would also make sense as to why you seemed less inclined to smile or be apart of the conversation.
It would explain why you seemed to stay in your room.
It would explain why whenever Zoro would train with his swords you would look at the blades with a sad longing. Zoro was never the type to want to put it his blades, or hide them from anybody, but the way you looked at them, made him want to throw them in the ocean, never to be seen again.
he wouldn't out right tell you he knew, nor would he outright say for you to stop.
But he would hold you stick close to you, make sure to cheer you up when you needed it most. Have you enjoy the things you used to enjoy.
He hoped it would make you feel better enough to stop, but only time will tell.
Luffy
He would be so confused. Why would someone willingly hurt themselves? Maybe for other people, he'd get, but this? No, he didn't understand.
But what he did understand that whenever he saw the thin red lines on your wrists, and how sometimes they would bleed when stretched too far, or when you were anxious you would go back to your room to create more, it made him feel useless and horrible.
He felt as if he had no right to keep you around, if he couldn't help you from whatever was going on, be it depression or anything else.
He didn't know what to do, when you kept going to your room to create more.
One day, before you would leave to put more lines in your skin, he grab you by the upper arm and pull you into a hug, telling he loves you, that you are wanted, that he doesn't want you to keep doing this.
It hurts him to see you so distraught and distressed. He will do anything to make you feel better, even if it was just a little bit.
He will stick by you, and will check up on you almost every ten minutes for however long it takes for you to truly feel the need to live once again.
Whitebeard
For as long as he lived, he has seen many depressing things.
But you hurting yourself was the worst thing he could possibly imagine. The bruises, the cuts, the blood, the utter darkness in your eyes.
It would unnerve him
I would give him shivers of anxiety, not wanting you to hurt yourself to the point to where you wouldn't return.
It makes him sad, because you are sad.
One thing he will do is call to you for some errands, keep your mind off of things, keep you busy.
And when there is downtime, he would tell you fun stories about his days on the sea, in an attempt to make you see that the future is worth living for, that life can be exciting and fun.
He would discreetly look, after some days, to see if there were any new marks, and to his surprise, there were only a few.
He would smile to himself, happy for the progress, for any progress.
And he hopes one day, you will be free from your own mind and really feel what it means to be alive.

Summer breeze, twinkling stars on a velvety dark sky. The moon shines brighter than ever. The lights of the Thousand Sunny go has been all turned off as all nakamas went to sleep. Tonight you are on guard, so you head up to the crow's nest. But you notice someone is sitting over the lion's (sun) head of the ship looking at the immense sky above him. Who else could be sitting there if not Luffy?
Luffy, your captain, and the man you fall in love with since the very first time you saw his smile.
He saved you, even if you weren't a princess in distress, you were saved from the pits of despair, from the darkness that was surrounding you. Luffy brightens your world with just a smile and the proposal you will always cherish in your memory.
"Join my crew, be my nakama".
But you love this man in silence, Luffy is not interested in love or relationships, Luffy only wants to be free, Luffy wants to be the king… or that’s what you think. You have accepted your faith and love him from the dark ever since.
A shooting star crosses the sky, you see Luffy lifting his arms. Perhaps he saw it too and made a wish? Perhaps he is just excited with the beauty of it.
But you did make a wish. Even if it felt somehow selfish, you just couldn't help it. You squeeze your eyes and softly whisper "I wish Luffy would love me as much as I love him".
"Who am I trying to fool? If I am somehow a distraction to achieve his dreams, then please don't love me" you think.
The sweet voice of Luffy breaks the silence of the night; "Oi!! Oi! (Name)!". "Great, I'm also hearing voices now" you grunt as you slowly open your eyes. But you weren't, Luffy was waving at you from his special spot, being bathed by the shine of the silver moon in the sky.
"Did you see the shooting star??" He asks and doesn't wait for you to come closer to him, but instead, he stretches his arms and takes you next to him.
Your ass hits the strong wood of Sunny's head. "Luffy… I did" you tell him, panting and embarrassed to be in his arms. He let's go of you and flashes a big smile. "It was really bright and big, wasn't it?" You say, just to break the ice.
"It was, yes. I asked for a wish… you know?" He says, his eyes becoming sad. "You did? I hope your wish gets fulfilled ~" you say, hoping the same with yours.
"Maybe someday…" he says, sighing and looking down. The straw hat covers his face.
You haven't seen Luffy act like this since you know him, it is so weird for you. But, at the same time, you are glad he is showing his true emotions to you. Luffy always acts so strong, so happy even if his heart is breaking, because above all things he knows he has to be ok to take care of you all and doesn't want to bother you at all.
“Are you ok, Lu?” you ask, trying to see his face from under the strawhat that is hiding his expressions. He sighs once again, and then looks at you with a smile. You know he is smiling because he doesn’t want to worry you. “Don’t smile if you don’t feel like it, Luffy. You can talk to me about what’s going on…” you tell him, brushing your thumb over the scar he has on his cheek. You panic inside you, “why am I touching him?!”.
Luffy sneaks his arms around you, this is a normal practice he has. The gum boy always hugs all of you and kisses you goodnight. In your mind you constantly repeat “this is just something he does with everyone”, yet your heart beats faster and faster. You look at him, burning cheeks, thinking what to say while inside your body a storm takes part. You are fighting against yourself not to kiss him, not to tell him how much you love him.
“(Name), do you think Ace is looking at me from the sky?” he asks, pointing at the dark firmament above you. Luffy is now resting his head on your lap. You melt at such a sweet question. “He definitely does, Luffy. Look, see that star? The one that shines the most? the one Nami told you is called Venus and she uses it as a guide for navigation? That one, that one is Ace. He guides you from there, shining bright just for you to see him when everything gets darker” you tell him, pointing at the flickering brilliance.
“Shi shi shi shi!” he laughs with his finger under his nose. “Hi Ace!” he waves at the sky, smiling from ear to ear. You are glad he is truly happy now. And because Luffy’s grin is so contagious you smile just like him, a warmth in your heart that makes you feel so full of love.
He hugs you tight, “thank you, Name…”. Luffy stands up, takes his hat off and puts on your head. He presses it down, so you can feel the weight of his hand over your head. That means how much he cares about you, how much he wants to protect you and doesn’t want to lose you for nothing in the whole world. And you smile, this is enough for you…
“You have a star also, you know?” he tells you all of a sudden, looking at the sky and lending you a hand to stand up. You took his hand and rose up, trying not to lose equilibrium. “Do I?” you ask. “Uhum, that one!” Luffy points towards the moon. “Luffy, that’s the Moon!” you tell him, surprised. “Yeah, and look how pretty it is! It shines so much! It lights up the dark sky, just like you and Ace!” he says, so naturally. You shake your head; you just can’t believe the words you just listened to. “Am I the Moon for him?” ...
And suddenly, Luffy turns around, hugging you from your waist, planting the sweetest kiss on your lips you have ever felt. The wish, did your wish come true?... Of course it did!
“Luffy… did you know the moon shines because of the Sun’s rays?” you tell, both of you pressing your foreheads. “It does?” he asks, already knowing the answer. “Uhum, you are the Sun. My Sun. You light up everyone’s world with your smile”.
“You make me smile…” he says and stretches his arm to the crow’s nest, while the other one gets wrapped around your waist. And there you go, recklessly flying from the deck to the lookout tower. Panting, you are left on the ground. Luffy usually hits Zoro or Sanji against the walls, but not you. He always protects you, and treats you like a princess. “Are you on guard tonight?” he asks. “I am…” you say, not sure why he is asking.
“Then, come here” he tells and softly pushes you against the little bed Zoro usually uses when he wants to rest after an intense training session. “L-Luffy?” you ask, embarrassed as hell. What is he doing?...
The future king lays next to you on the little cot, he wraps his arms around you and both of you are again nose touching. “I’m in love with you (Name)…” he whispers. You gasp. “He does?”. You took some minutes to process the man you thought would never love you, just said the opposite.
“Uh… I… I am… I am too…” you stutter but giggle once you have confessed your feelings. “I know, shi shi shi shi” he laughs and plants another sweet kiss on your lips. But this time, it doesn’t end in a peck… his tongue looks for yours, and slowly but surely it becomes into a sweet, steamy make out session. You’ve always known Luffy hides this behaviour very well. His innocence does not mean he cannot be passionate in bed…
And you let yourself go, accepting that your sweet captain can also be a man, a man that can and will send you to heaven. The hands of Mugiwara no Luffy travel up and down your body. He wants you so bad. You help him take off your clothes. You are left completely naked in front of him, in body and soul, ready to be taken.
Luffy, softly, gently, lovely kisses you once more, then lowers his kisses through your neck to your chest. He does it so slow, you wouldn’t think he could be that calm… but he is, he wants to enjoy every inch of your skin. Your flesh reacts to his lips, little spasms, little stings of pleasure.
His hands are now on your thighs, a place he also kisses delightedly. “You are so perfect, (Name)” he exclaims, amazed with the beauty of your anatomy. You brush his black hair, looking at his face, somehow that kid face is not there anymore, his eyes show lust, passion, and love.
“Can I?” he asks, before touching your panties. “Yes…” you allow him, amazed by the respect he has for you and your body… After all, he is Luffy.
He smiles, and little by little takes your panties off, sliding the fabric through your thighs, to your knees and finally through your feet. Luffy kisses each spot as he lowers the underwear.
He sighs, nervously looking at your entrance. You bite your lip, a little embarrassed. This is the first time Luffy sees you naked, he is discovering every inch of your body. The gum gum boy looks at you, eyes widen, he swallows. He is nervous, he doesn’t want to ruin this moment… if he only knew he is perfect no matter what…
He takes air, his fingers softly graze your pelvis. He leans forward, his mouth reaching your sex. Soft kisses, and shy tongue. He tastes the honey of your arousal, and in a matter of seconds he loses his calm. Luffy devours you, dedicatedly, passionately enjoying the sweet taste of you. And you arch your back, grabbing the sheets as he also sticks his index inside you.
Moaning and panting, he does it so well. You are amazed by the way he is able to please you, fixing his eyes on your pleasure expressions as you come.
Luffy settles over you, caressing your cheek as your breathing returns back to normal. “I love you” he whispers. You flash a smile, completely drunk with love and lust.
And you have always wanted to taste his skin, to kiss every single corner of his body, so you softly straddle your hips over him. You take off his red kimono while kissing his lips. His chest exposed, you admire the red scar that resembles an X, his strong abs, little past wounds that still need some healing. “I wanted this for so long, Luffy…” you confess, attacking his neck.
You could have sworn his skin would have no scent at all due to the gum, but you were wrong. A subtle manly aroma mixed with the little drops of sweat invades your nose. Deliciously intoxicated, your lips leave a path of kisses all towards his belly. Quiet moans left his mouth as you kiss the tight gum skin, that doesn’t feel at all like it.
Lower and lower your smooches go. You now kneel on the bed, just to kiss his hip bones. Luffy, lost in pleasure, can only run his fingers through your hair. You untie the waist string, allowing the kimono to open fully. To your surprise he is not even wearing underwear. You take your hand to your mouth when you discover the size of his manhood.
“L-uffy…” you stutter. “What baby?” he asks, acting all innocent. “Don’t make it grow anymore…” you say, completely aware of the fact that he can control its length to his own liking due to his devil fruit. “Ah.. sorry, sorry” he says laughing. You can’t help but laugh with him.
But of course, this is not over, so your mouth reaches the throbbing member of your lover. Strings of precum drip from it, product you lick delightedly. Salty heaven that makes Luffy clench his jaw whenever your tongue plays with it. But you want more, and so you put his whole length into your mouth, sucking, up and down, licking and also stroking his shaft.
Luffy moans louder, hopefully no one has listened, yet not sure of it. He buckles up his hips against you, making the tip of his sex graze your throat. Watery eyes, sight that enjoys the man in front of you submitting to you, lost in pure lust and desire.
“(N-ame… Name…) come here… I- I- let me…” he says panting, pulling from you. In an instant Luffy has settled his body over you. Grabbing your wrists with just one hand above your head and grabbing his dick with the other. “Let me… Can I?” he asks, and you of course nod, biting your lip. Your sex is begging to be filled by him, desperately asking for it.
And inside he goes, deep, deep inside. In and out, violent thrusts, repeating how much he loves you, fixing his eyes on yours. Making sweet, sweet love to you. Yet feeling the power of his Emperor’s Haki as he pounds into you.
Sweet like candy, but he is such a man…
And both of you come, panting, sweating, at the same time as those romantic movies. You aching your back, moaning his name. Luffy panting, kissing your lips, muzzled I love yous, filling you with his warm seed...
The moonlight that filters through the glass walls of the crow’s nest bathes Luffy’s back as he pants, still inside you, looking into your eyes with pure love and desire. That night, both of your wishes came true…
Because they were exactly the same...♥ ~
