________________________
The dungeon is dark and Luffy holds you. Only his precarious torch guides you through the midnight catacombs, knee-deep in dark water, youâre terrified and shaking and Luffyâs hand on your waist is the only thing you have right now. Heâs tight-lipped and facing straight ahead, youâre wordless, you hope you arenât lost.
Evading the monsters of the dungeon has taken a lot out of you, mentally and physically, as you and the crew have battled for escape and now it feels like hours since youâve all been separated, terrified and in a ceaseless search for light. Luffy wouldnât leave your side, partly because youâve clung to him this whole time, you had lost your cutlass and twisted your ankle, your shirt is torn, youâre very vulnerable and you need him. Youâre not proud of it, usually youâre reliable and independent, usually youâre someone Luffy can count on to do well on your own, even in the worst of times, but today isnât like that. He can tell by how your nails dig into his shoulders.
Every corner turn feels agonizingly slow, your organs tightening with each knot of anticipation, there can only be death or light or more darkness and the three possibilities war within you with every step. Dust falls from the dungeon ceiling. Stone creaks, how far are you below the sky? Not knowing when youâll find the exit, or when youâll find your friends, or if theyâll make it out too, youâre left in a limbo of uncertainty and dread. Youâre forced to move slowly because of your ankle, youâve been trying to walk it off but the unclean saltwater is making the inflammation burn.
A scream echoes through the tunnel in front of you, freezing you and Luffy in place. You know that voice, itâs Zoro, tinny and distorted from the stone and water but so real and so filled with agony and desperation. Itâs a call for help.
âZORO!â Luffy yells back, his heart pounding in his chest, breathing becoming erratic, âplease! Where are you??â
But thereâs no answer. Luffy turns to you, fear-filled eyes watering, and he places a hand on your shoulder, determination filling his voice.
âStay here. I need to go help Zoro. Iâll be back for you, [name].â And before you have a chance to react he lets go of your body, your warmth and light leaving you, racing off down the corridor and disappearing.
You trip and fall to your knees without him, soaking you up to your waist. Youâre left with nothing and no one and youâre too scared even to scream. You canât do anything, left weaponless and injured, the water ripples around you and you canât even move. And youâre forced to wait like this until sound ricochets behind you, an inhuman and ancient sound, the water exploding around you and stone crunching as if it were sand. Writhing, ink-black eels with unseeing eyes and too-symmetrical fangs are bursting from the walls in a tidal wave of suffocation, blood-lust for your fear. You can tell theyâre eels from the way they squirm and splash against your body, and the walls cave in and stone tumbles upon you, but itâs only these sensations of pain and cacophonic sound that guide you to your horrible new reality because thereâs no light anymore, not at all. Immobile, all you can do is scream and swing wildly with your hands as youâre dragged to the ground, plunged beneath the water that now grows thick with the fallen stone and with your blood.
Youâre convinced for a moment that youâve died, your brain canât process the warmth and the flood of air to your lungs. Your eyes fly open as you soar from the ground, carried securely as the ceiling overhead shatters, youâre drowned in beautiful, beautiful light and sky at last. Youâre laying bridal-style in Sanjiâs arms, with one powerful kick heâs freed you both from the dungeon, the island luckily not far above. You look up at him, your head resting against his chest, heâs breathing heavily, staring stoically upwards. Itâs all over.
____________________________________
You wake up in Chopperâs office. Your head is ringing and you feel so heavy, and your left leg is numb, and the whole room is blurry. Chopper rushes over to you, hopping up on a stool and resting a hoof on your shoulder.
â[Name]! Oh, Iâm so glad youâre awake, howâre you feeling?â he says, smiling down at you.
âNot⊠ah, I mean, my leg justâŠâ
âMm. You got a pretty big gash on your lower leg. I've been trying to fight off the infections all night, but you seem to be stabilizing. Itâs lucky how fast Sanji was able to find you.â Chopperâs ears twitch a bit with nerves.
âThank you, Chopper.â You manage a smile for him. âIs everyone else ok? Did we all make it out?â
And so Chopper tells you how yes, everyoneâs ok, the whole crew escaped the dungeon and found the ship again. And you and Zoro are the only two who ended up with serious injuries, Zoro with three broken ribs and you with your mauled leg. But youâll both make full recoveries, so itâs alright. And youâre told that youâll have to be very careful for at least a week, until the stitches and staples can be safely removed, thatâs a long time to limp around the ship and lie in bed but youâre just grateful right now that everythingâs all over.
Worried about Zoro and his whereabouts, Chopper leaves you to rest and stare at the ceiling. And thatâs when Luffy bursts in, coming over to you and sitting on the bed, looking at you with concern. And you stare back at him, neither of you say anything, until he leans in to give you a hug and starts asking after you.
âDonât touch me, Luffy.â You look away, your voice is ice.
He freezes. He isnât used to this from you, he looks betrayed, a bit, and confused, this makes you feel angrier because how can he not see what he did wrong? His eyes narrow and slowly he gets up, and turns, and leaves, and now youâre here alone again.
_______________________________________
Youâre sitting alone on the deck. Youâre getting air, your leg is raw and in pain and the cool evening air is refreshing against your face. Your hands are folded in your lap, you just want to sit here in silence.
Steps you donât want to hear, a tap on your shoulder you donât want to feel, you donât want Luffy to be here right now and you donât want to have this conversation but heâs perched next to you, leaning over you. He wants a hug, probably. He misses you.
âHey, are you mad?â he asks in a small voice, head cocked.
âYeah,â is all you say.
He just looks at you, biting his lip.
âYou left me alone in the tunnel when I was hurt. I could barely walk on my own and I didnât have a weapon or⊠or anything!â Hey, no, donât cry yet, you think to yourself. Your voice is breaking. âI really, really needed you!â
Luffy sort of curls away from you, his fists are balled tightly. âI had to help Zoro! He was in trouble! I donât know what you wanted me to do, [name]!â
âReally? Really you donât know?â Youâre so upset and sad, you stand up to get away from him, stumbling on your burning leg, defiant. âYou couldâve carried me! You couldâve put me on your back! You could at least have found somewhere dry and safe for me to hide, you could have given me a light, I donât know, Luffy! You could have done so many thingsâŠâ Youâre really, truly near tears now. âI was hurt, I was defenseless, I was scared, I thought you knew all thatâŠâ
âZoro needed my help.â Luffy is scary when heâs mad, itâs awful when heâs mad at you, when his voice gets authoritative. âIâm not sure what to say, [name], I was going to come back for you-â
âBut you didnât! Sanji saved me. I couldâve died, Luffy!â
He makes this little angry whine in his throat and then says, âI just needed to rely on you! I had to help Zoro!â
Which makes you snap. âStop saying that!â you shout, âI was hurt and scared and I couldnât fight!â And out of rage and cloudy pain you scream, âWHY ARENâT YOU LISTENING TO ME??â and strike Luffy across the face.
You expect this not to hurt him. It shouldnât, not with his rubber body, itâs more a display of your deep anguish and frustration, but he cries out in pain and clutches his face. He begins to cry. Your heart is crushed into sand.
But you canât do this anymore and you just limp away.
_______________________________________
These two days are so long. Theyâre so, so long, longer than two years. Your leg flares up in horrible, unending pain and your heart wails to you but you canât do anything. Youâre so angry. You and Luffy arenât speaking, he avoids you, he looks away stoically when youâre close by. This has never happened to you, you miss that loving, sweet boy attached to you like a koala, you miss getting kissed, you miss everything. But neither of you know what to say. Youâre both sad and torn up inside, Luffy just feels so confused and frustrated all the time now, shutting down completely.
Everyone else knows what happened. Zoro feels really terrible but he doesnât say anything to either of you, he just retreats, cursing to himself over his own weakness, blaming himself and his vulnerability in that dungeon for hurting two of his best friends. Even with his broken ribs he trains and trains and reopens his wounds. And nobody knows how to help any of you. Not even Chopper, his pleading eyes begging Zoro to stay in bed, words stuck in his throat as he rebandages your wound, wiping blood away with shaking hooves.
But finally in the deep light of one sunset, at the end of those two days, youâre making your way slowly off of the deck when you hear your name screamed from behind.
You turn your head and Luffy scoops you up and slams you against the mast, heâs crying and shaking and holding you tightly in his arms.
âPlease, please, I canât do this anymore! I donât wanna be mad at you, I donât! I hate this!â he shouts in your face, voice loud and wavering.
You donât know what to do but this feeling enveloping your body is incredible, so warm, your soul craved this in spite of it all.
âIâm so sorry, I feel so bad, I didnât mean to get ya hurt, [name]! Oh, godâŠâ He sinks down the mast onto the deck with you in his arms. âI donât wanna forgive myself. I shoulda carried you, but I didnât wanna put you in danger âcause I didnât know where Zoro was, I really thought it was gonna be ok, and I was gonna come back for you, I really was!â
âLuffy⊠itâs ok, Iâm sorryâŠâ You wrap your arms gently around his body, your own tears coming now. âI just wanna forget all this, I hate when weâre mad at each other⊠I love you.â
âMm- I love you too!â Luffy grins, eyes closed, face wet. âI just wanna keep you safe, thatâs all I want.â
âItâs hard sometimes,â you whisper, âyou love us so much, I know itâs hard, I know you get scared too.â
âI do get scared,â he murmurs, nuzzling into your shoulder, leaving tear streaks on your neck. âI just wanna make it all betterâŠâ
Youâre smiling now. This is such a relief, such a weight off your heart, so you carefully lift his hat so you can ruffle his hair. âThis is a good start.â
His hand goes to your leg, caressing timidly up and down your skin, his face is against yours but heâs looking down at your bandages, eyes scared and concerned.
âOoh, [name], Chopper was teaching me how to make scar tissue stronger!â He taps the center of his torn chest. âYou use two fingers and uh, like, make these little circles on âem, maybe I can do it on your wound and you can feel better?â Heâs staring at you excitedly.
His kindness makes your chest feel warm. âYouâre sweet, Lu, but itâs not a scar yet. You shouldnât touch wounds when theyâre fresh. Iâd like that when itâs healed up, thoughâŠâ
âOh.â Heâs a little disappointed, but understanding, and now heâs going back to thinking more, nibbling your shoulder a bit to get his mind working. âSometimes when Iâm hurt, Robin gives me massages. They feel real nice, do you want one?â
This sounds so good and you snuggle against him with the promise of such a perfect gift. âIâd really like that, actually. Maybe on my thigh? Itâs pretty sore from all the limping.â
So Luffy leans into you in joy and relief, turning you around and pulling you into his lap, you turn your head to look up at him and everything seems to be ok now. You lay on his chest and his hands find your thigh on your hurt leg, heâs clumsy and doesnât know what heâs doing but you feel him shivering in concentration, kneading your sore muscle with his fingers, and then with his palms, his skin smooth and calming against yours. Heâs breathing softly in your ear, you close your eyes and let yourself be bathed in his touch, in his unwavering love for you.
Maybe youâll need to have a real conversation about this with him, later. But now all you want to do is sit here against him, his weight shifting against you as he rubs your skin and hums quietly under his breath to soothe both of you.
âI love you,â you say again, very quietly, âand Iâm gonna love you forever.â
He nods. He knows this well. His nose presses against your cheek, lips seeking yours, wanting to taste your words. And he echoes, âme too. Forever.â

Angst+fluffy Luffy x reader where the reader almost dies! Like, after a battle reader faints and luffy gets worried sick cuz he remembers of Ace death
Doctor!
LUFFY X READER! FLUFF + ANGST!
âCome on (Y/N)!â Luffy grinned as he dragged you towards the islandâs main plaza. âLuffy, we're supposed to be undercover⊠Nami warned us how this island is one of the Navyâs bases,â you warned as you continued following your boyfriend.
But he continued on towards the main plaza, hoping to find a food cart. âWeâll be fine, plus youâre with me! I wonât let anyone hurt you,â he smiled as he grabbed your hand. âPlus youâre just as strong as me, so weâll be fine!â He added. You playfully rolled your eyes and nodded.
âFinally! The plaza!â He smiled. âOh look, they have ramen over there. Or takoyaki there! Or cotton candy there!â He said excitedly as he scanned the different food carts. âDid you even bring bellies?â You asked. You quickly noticed him freeze up. âIâll take that as a noâŠâ you sighed.
You watched as he slowly turned to you with the biggest puppy eyes. âLuffyâŠâ you sighed. âOk then I guess we can go back to the ship,â he moped as he walked past you. âOh shut up, you know Iâm gonna buy you something,â you rolled your eyes. You watched as his mood changed in an instant, âThanks! Thatâs why youâre the best girlfriend in the world!â He smiled as he pulled you into a tight hug. âYeah, yeah⊠you owe me Straw Hat,â you smiled. âIâll give you one of my takoyaki!â He smiled as he dragged you back to the carts. âJust one?â You asked yourself.
âŠ
After you watched Luffy eat 2 bowls of ramen, 4 orders of takoyaki, and 1 bag of cotton candy⊠because you didnât want to deal with a sugar rush. It was finally time to head back to the ship.
âThat was good,â Luffy burped, as you both walked down the path. âYeah, the ramen was pretty good. But I think Iâll always prefer Sanjiâs,â you replied. âYeah, thatâs true!â Luffy smiled. You soon arrived to the cliff where the crew hid the ship and noticed it was gone.
The shipâs hiding spot was now filled with soldiers, and Navy ships.
âDid we go the wrong way?â Luffy asked. âNo, this is the spot. Maybe some soldiers found them and tried to trap them,â You told him, worried for your friends. âDo you think they escaped?â He asked. âFranky, Brooke, and Usopp stayed behind, Iâm sure that Franky was able to escape from them. Plus theyâre probably waiting here, hoping to catch one of us who stepped into the island,â you explain. âWell letâs go look for them,â he said.
âNo, we should go back into town,â you said, stopping him from running off. âWhy? The ship is missing!â He shouted. âBecause what if the others donât know that the ship was found. That means the Navy knows weâre here, so theyâre probably looking for them. We have to warn them, we have to find them before any soldier does,â you explained. âButâŠâ he trailed off.
âCome on Luffy! Plus Franky has gotten us out of a bunch of bad spots, Iâm sure he did it again! We need to find the oth-â you stopped yourself. â(Y/-â you quickly placed your hand over his mouth. âShh,â you whispered as you heard some faint footsteps.
But it was too late. âWell, well, well⊠I thought I saw something on top of this cliff,â you heard a booming voice from the trees. You looked over and saw a large bald headed man in a suit. With around 10 soldiers behind him. âCrapâŠâ you muttered. âItâs fine (Y/N), we can handle the- HEY!â Luffy yelled as a net shot at him.
âLuffy?â You called out and noticed your boyfriend struggling inside the net.
âSea prism net, it works great when someoneâs not expecting it,â the bald headed man laughed. You rushed over to Luffy without thinking, âI-Iâll get you out!â You stuttered. â(Y/N) no! Behind you!â He shouted weakly.
You quickly turned your attention back to the group and realized they were closing in on you two. âIâm sure bringing you two in would promote me to Vice Admiral,â the bald man said. â(Y/N) please run,â Luffy begged. You shook your head, âI got this, weâre ok when weâre together,â you said determined as you rose up and turned your attention towards the troop.
You were a weaponist, but all you had was a small knife. You pulled it out and the soldiers began to laugh. âThatâs it? Youâre planning to take us all down with that?â The man laughed. âYep,â you said softly, before charging at one soldier who was still laughing.
You sliced him up and kicked him towards a small bunch of soldiers. Causing them to be knocked over. âFire! Fire!â You heard one of the soldiers shout. You leapt into the air and avoided any gunshots.
You landed on another soldier and sliced up his face. You continued to cut up as many of them as you could while knocking others into one another. âHow are you men still having trouble with this girl?â The tall man yelled. You raced towards Luffy and began cutting at the net, but it wonât budge. â(Y/N)⊠behindâŠâ you heard Luffy say. Before you could turn around you were quickly grabbed from your hair and yanked up.
âYouâre a lot of trouble for a little girl,â the man growled. âD-Donât touch herâŠâ Luffy said weakly as he slowly thrashed under the net. âLike you can talk! Like I said⊠youâre a lot of trouble, so Iâm dealing with you now before you can get loose again,â he said menacingly. You squirmed and thrashed, trying to rip yourself out of his grasp, but nothing worked.
âWell good thing the flyer says alive or dead,â the man said as he lifted his sword. Before he could hurt you you jabbed the small knife into the hand that held you. The man screamed and you rushed towards Luffy.
â(Y/N) please⊠run,â he begged. You shook your head, searching for the strings that kept the net tied. âYou bitch!â You heard. You ignored his words and finally found the knot to the net, you sliced at it with your knife and opened the net.
You smiled as you were finally able to free your boyfriend. âLuffâŠy,â you gasped. You felt a sharp pain pierce through your torso. â(Y/N)!â You heard, but your hearing was slowly being taken over by a sharp ringing.
Luffyâs POV
I stared in shock, but before I could think I landed on the guy that hurt her. My fists pounding on his face, until heâs unrecognizable. Before I become too caught up on him I quickly turn back to (Y/N).
Sheâs laying on her back holding onto her wound. I rushed over and slowly picked her up. â(Y/N)! Hey, Iâm here, Iâm here. Youâre ok now, I-I just need Chopper. Heâll fix this! S-So donât worry⊠fuck!â I panicked as I raced towards the plaza. I need a doctor, any doctor. She canât die, I wonât let her. I thought as I raced through the forest.
I made it back to the plaza and scouted the area for
Chopper or for anyone. âI-I need a doctorâŠâ I choked out. People began to stare at us with worried looks. âI need a doctor!â I screamed. âPlease! Anyone! Please!â I cried out. Residents stared at me with panicked looks as I ran around, hoping to find someone to help. But no one stepped up, they all just stared.
My legs felt weak, and I fell to my knees, still holding her. My vision is too blurry, âPlease anyone! Iâm begging you! I canât let her die!â I begged as I pressed (Y/N) closer to my chest. She canât die, sheâs supposed to be with me foreverâŠ
âFollow me!â I heard a voice call out. I snapped my head towards the voice and noticed an older man in front of a building, motioning over towards him. I jumped up and raced over, âCan you save her? Please tell me you can save her!â I shouted. âIt seems sheâs lost quite a bit of blood⊠but hurry and set her down inside! We canât waste any more time!â The grandpa demanded and I ran inside and placed her on a small white bed that was inside the tiny office.
I watched the man rush over to (Y/N) and began placing pressure on her wound. âHold this, sheâs going to have to do an emergency surgery. I need to get ready!â He instructed and I rushed over to take his spot. After a few minutes he was back with gloves and tools. âI can take it from here, go wait outside,â he said. âNo! Let me-â he interrupted me. âI said get out! I need total concentration!â He yelled. I hesitated, but forced myself to go outside.
I sat outside and stared at the dried blood on my hands. âI should have protected her! What kind of capt- what kind of boyfriend am I?â I cried out. âIt happened again! Someone I care about⊠I couldnât save themâŠâ I said as my hands snaked. âLuffy!â I quickly looked up and saw Nami, Sanji, and Chopper. âY-You guysâŠâ I said softly. âWe saw the Navy ships, and- i-is that⊠blood?â Nami asked. âWhereâs (Y/N)?â Chopper asked worriedly. âS-She, I⊠I couldnât-" I was interrupted with a kick, sending me flying back.
Sanji grabbed me by the collar, âWhere is she? If something bad happened to herâŠâ he trailed off. âSanji!â Nami called out.
âNow Iâm not sure if this rowdiness is the best thing for your friend right nowâŠâ a soft voice said. We all turned and saw the old doctor standing at the entrance of his office, wiping his hands. I shoved Sanji off of me, and raced over to him. âHow is she? Is she ok?â I asked. The doctor stared at me for what felt like a century. âSheâs⊠sheâs fine my boy,â he said as he patted my shoulder.
I lunged onto the grandpa, âThank you⊠thank you for helping her. I thought I would lose her,â I cried. He patted my back, âWell sheâs a tough gal, a little too tough,â he smiled. âSheâs already awake,â he said softly as he pulled away. My eyes widened, âCan I see her?â I asked. âHmm⊠well Iâm sure a quick visit wouldnât hurtâŠâ he said softly as he led us into his office.
As soon as I walked in, I rushed over to her. She was sitting up, looking out the window. â(Y-Y/N)?â I choked out. She jumped from my voice and slowly turned towards me, she then smiled once our eyes met. âLuffy,â she said softly. I rushed over to her and collapsed, âIâm sorry, Iâm so sorry. I shouldâve done better, Iâm sorry, please donât leave meâŠâ I cried onto her lap. I felt a soft hand play with my hair, âStop acting like Iâm dead, Iâm fine. Just a little scratch,â she giggled. âI love you,â I said softly. âI love you too,â she smiled as she wiped my tears.
â(Y/N)!â Chopped cried as he hopped onto her. âHi guys,â she smiled. âAre you ok?â Nami asked as she shoved me out of the way. âIâm fine, just a bad scratch,â she smiled. âWell good, or else I wouldâve killed your boyfriend,â Sanji said. âSo, letâs go back to the ship?â (Y/N) asked. âWe found it on the other side of the island!â Chopper said. âWell Iâm not so sure she should be moving yet,â the grandpa said. âI can carry her,â I said. âWell⊠the Navy is looking for you nowâŠâ he muttered. âIâm a doctor as well, and I know this isnât the best thing for the patient right now. But if anything happens I can take care of her!â Chopper explained. âWell alright then,â the grandpa said. We all nodded and prepared to safely transport (Y/N) back to the ship.
⊠NighttimeâŠ
I never left (Y/N)âs side, as soon as we arrived at the ship she fell asleep and hasnât woken up since. I even missed dinner to make sure she doesnât wake up alone. After a few minutes she slowly opened her eyes. âLuffy,â She smiled. â(Y/N)!â I smiled back. âHave you been here all this time?â She asked me. âYeah, I didnât want you to wake up alone. I also⊠wanted to make sure you were ok,â I said softly. âIâm sorry (Y/-â she interrupted me. âStop, I wasnât careful enough. Iâm ok, I promise,â she said as she cupped my cheek.
âI know but I was so scared, I thought⊠I thought I was going to lose you like-â I cut myself off. âI know and Iâm sorry for scaring you, but you found me a doctor right?â She asked. I slowly nodded. âSo you saved me, and Iâm very grateful,â she said as she pulled me into a soft kiss. âJust⊠always keep your weapons bag on you at all times,â I say. She laughed and nodded. âIâll keep an extra set of weapons on me too, just in case,â I said. âSounds like a deal,â she smiled. âI love you,â she said. âI love you too,â I said as I gently pulled her into a kiss.

Hello, could you make a headcanon of the One Piece characters if they found out that the reader was abused in the past and what would they do if they knew who it was? I know it might sound strange but you could still do it, thank you
One piece characters- what will they do if they found out S/O was abused in the past
No problem pooks
content warning: Swear words, mention of abuse, beating people up! Gender-Neutral terms for both y/n and the abuser themselves.
Luffy: What I think Luffy would do, is probably the same thing that he did when he found out his other crew members abusers, kick their ass!! But when you vented or simply explained what happened, he really wasnât listening. He just wanted to know who it was so he can make them pay the price. He isnât one to comfort someone directly, just tell you that youâre a good S/O and move on. If you expect him to sit down and have a nice long chat with you, donât. But if you expect him to kick someone ass for you, be prepared.
Zoro: Zoro is more an observer than an action taker, butttttt when you vent he will listen to you!!! You are part of the crew. When I say listen he will, may not act like it but he is. He just may say â Iâm sorry â and move on from the day, he really isnât good with emotions, but donât get me wrong, he does think your badass for taking all that in and yet be the person who are today! But will never say that. Never. but what will he do to your abuser? He wonât fight themâŠwhen youâre around. He may just sneak out of The Sunny to find him, and take care of it himself.
Sanji: unlike Zoro and Luffy, he is very good at emotions and what to do or say, he will make you your comfort food and drink, sit down beside you and listen. He will get very angry when your telling the story, may interrupt you to say how much of a terrible person they are to do some such as yourself.. and he will do that a lot đ he knows how it feels to be abused and have emotional or physical trauma from abuse. but he would full on go HAM on the person that dare lay a finger on you. While doing that he will talk the abusers ear off saying how much of a great S/O you are. Law: Heâs good at emotions and trauma, Espiecally after what he experienced. He will listen to you, very carefully asking the questions that need to be asked. Mostly on how are you feeling at this moment, physically or mentally. He will take this story(s) in consideration, he will treat you differently, more kindly, but he will see you as a brave person for taking all that in. But the question is what will he do.. like Zoro he wonât do it when youâre around, unless you directly told him you want to be. But he would make them feel pain like they did to you.
â
AAA thatâs it! Cya later alligators! ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ

Luffy x jealous reader
A/n: All of these are just fiction. You are pretty, lovely, and beautiful <?33 Word count: 600 Request are open Warning: insecure reader but Luffy is beige so he comforts u
ft: Luffy, Boa
Requested: <yes> <no>
You love Luffy, you really do. But God, heâs so dense it hurts. Right now, heâs being fed by none other than the Kuja Empress herself, Boa Hancock. She even learned how to cook meat, just for Luffy!
Yeah, you can stand your ground in terms of attractiveness. But with the most beautiful woman? Yeah no, youâd wither away like a speck of dust.
Youâre glad that Boa finds Luffy attractive. But at the same time sad. Luffy is handsome and strong. It makes sense that heâll need a partner that can be on his level. And well, youâre quite far from it.
It doesnât help that Luffy is oblivious to all this! Yes, Luffy is way smarter than he looks. And yes, he can be serious sometimes. But what does he know about love? Heâs like a newborn child when it comes to it. If it werenât for Robin pushing him to confess, you wouldâve imploded!
It also doesnât help that when the pirate empress first saw you, she wasâŠdisgusted. And when she looked back at Luffy, her heart and eyes went back. Not to mention, you also had a lesser portion of food being given to you.
Finally having enough, you left the scene and went back to you and Luffyâs shared room. You contemplated whether to just sleep at the ship for the rest of the week or stay in the castle.
You lay down on the futon, looking at the blank ceiling. Light filled the corner of your eyes. Standing there was Luffy and meat in his mouth.
He entered the room and closed the door. The two of you were silent, and an uncomfortable aura filled the area. Luffy swallowed the meat whole and then spoke, âAre you ok, Y/n?â You shifted your body and positioned it to stare at Luffy. âOf course, why would you think that?â
He tilted his head to the side and crossed his arms, âWell you seemed down when we were eatingâŠwas it because I stole all your food?!â He laughed, âYou gotta be quick next time, Y/n.â
âI guess so,â you said. Your voice was dry and had no feelings. You shifted your weight back to your original position, and once again, looked at the ceiling.
Luffy frowned at your reaction and used his gum-gum fruit to snatch you out of the bed.
You gave out a little squeak and gasped, âLuffy!â
âAre you mad at me, Y/n?â He asked, pouting, âIâll try not to steal your food anymore, ok?â
You smiled a bit from his gestures, âIâm not mad at you, Luffy. Just tired.â
âReally? But weâre having fun downstairs.â
âWell, you can go back down, Luffy. Iâm not gonna stop you.â
Luffy looked at you for a while and finally spoke, âNah.â He held your bridal style and went to the futon. He put the two futons close together and dropped you on top.
âLuffy?â
âSanji said that if a woman is sad then you should spend time with them. So, Iâm gonna cuddle with you tonight, Y/n!â He gave you a flashy smile and wrapped his rubber arms around you three times.
Morning came and you woke up from the sun shining on your eyes. You looked beside you and noticed Luffy still asleep, his hair was a mess, his mouth was wide open, and his arms were tightly wrapped around you.
You blushed from what you remembered last night and opted to wake up Luffy. But, you never had a day as peaceful as this. And so, you went back from your sleep and embraced him, once again.
A/n: I just want to let you all know THIS is just a fictional story. You are of course perfect just the way you are <?33

|| One Piece Masterlist ||
|| Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3
You didn't know what happened after you were forced to leave the arena. You were placed on a cell with two of your fellow warriors guarding as you waited for the outcome of the battle.
"Please! Atleast tell me, Is Marguerite alright...? What about the other two? Sweet Pea and Aphelandra..? Are they alright.?"
"I'm sorry, (Name). But we can't disclose anything to you. All we can say is that the Gorgon sisters are battling that strange man as we speak..."
You sat there in the cell for what it felt like hours. You didn't know what had happened until you were finally allowed to be freed.
However, as soon as you left your cell, you found yourself face to face with one of the Gorgon sister, Boa Sandersonia towered over your form as she gestured you to follow her.
"(Name), Our older sister ordered for you to appear before her."
"May I ask the reason why?"
"You'll see when you get there."
You can see how hesistant her tone was as she refused to look at you in the eye. By her body language alone, you can tell how uneasy and nervous she was being. So to avoid making her uncomfortable, you decided to refrain from talking until you reached the snake princess' bed chambers.
"Oh! It's you!"
Luffy pointed his finger towards you as soon as you entered. His shock expression soon changed to excitement and relief, a grin appearing on his face.
"You're okay! I got worried when they took you away, glad to see that you're not hurt."
You gave him a gentle smile of acknowledgement before focusing your attention towards your empress who sat on her snake, Salome. She was staring directly at you, observing your interaction with the only man in the room.
"Come closer, the two of you..."
She commanded. Unlike Luffy, who approached her without any care, you cautiously took a step forward, expecting for a scolding, a punishment even.
Only for your eyes to widen in shock as she revealed her bare back on to the two of you.
"Snake Princess, but that's-! What about the curse..?!"
You immediately shielded your eyes. Hers and her sisters' backs are a sensitive subject that the whole island knew about. And here she was revealing it for you to see, was this your punishment? For you to turn to stone for disobeying her orders and allowing Luffy to live? Even going far to defending him back at the arena.
"I trust you, (Name). And it is about time you know the truth..."
There on her back, was a symbol dyed in red, circular center with four triangles resembling a claw. At that moment, you see how her shoulders trembled as you observe her mark.
"Is...is it alright for you to show it to us...? my empress, it is something you forbit anyone from discovering..."
You can see how it pained not only her but also Marigold and Sandersonia. Grandma Nyon encouraged to reveal the story, and after a few moments, you finally understood everything.
It was the mark of authority far more superior than of the Pirate Empress. The Celestial Dragon's mark, specifically the mark of slaves that belongs. Everything she experienced and the sufferings she has to endure with her sisters, she revealed it all to you and Luffy.
You stayed silent as Luffy was escorted out, him being invited to the banquet that was host whenever the Kuja Pirates return to the Island with a huge haul. You stayed behind as you felt like you shouldn't leave Hancock alone after everything that had been revealed.
"Has your view of me changer after finding out that I was a former slave...?"
"Can I really speak out my thoughts, Snake Princess? My most honest thoughts?"
You asked, revealing her secret doesn't mean that you should carelessly speak up. Boa Hancock is still the Empress of Amazon Lily, the ruler of the land you were born in.
"I will allow it."
"Then, I will reply with a No....No, I don't think any lesser of you, my empress. In fact, I think....that for to you endure such torment and rise above it is truly admirable. My respect for you just got deepened."
You spoke with true genuine in your tone. Yes, you were anguished with what you just heard. The sufferings of the people who look up upon brought pain in your heart.
"I think that...your past doesn't defy who you are. It just shows how truly strong you are."
For the first time in your life, in years of serving the Pirate Empress. This was the first time you ever saw her smile with tears in her eyes.
It was then night time when Hancock dismissed you from your duties, having kept you around for a longer conversation. You found out the truth about your mother, yet you only found yourself slightly upset. You don't really remember what she look like nor what her personality were when she was alive, however, you could still remember the warmth she emitted whenever both of you share a tender embrace as she on board the empress' ship.
Hancock's attitude around you seems to have slightly changed now. She was more vocal of what she feels and treats you better than she did before, asking for your opinions and outlook of the village. The conversation began changing to how managing the island whenever she was out.
"As you now know, my presence here is somehow a threat. I'm a pirate with a bounty so great, continue doing your duties as usual."
She was more comfortable with you now. Just by thinking about it, made you smile as you nodded at her orders. Eager to aid her with everything.
"Yes, my empress... You can always rely on me."
you immediately went back to the village where the banquet is being held. Now in a more casual clothing, you entered the room and immediately sense the tense atmosphere among the women present there.
The center of their attention was Luffy who was sitting, eating his heart out as dishes were served on his table.
"What's going on?"
"(Name) is it really okay for a man to be present on the homecoming banquet.?"
One of the warriors asked, a look of concern is visible on her face, glancing at Luffy with skeptism.
"The Snake Princess already favors him, therefore we will treat Luffy with hospitality."
Just as you said that, Luffy stood up on the table with a ladle and wok pan, demanding that the women should sing and dance since it is a banquet.
A small smile made way on to your lips, covering them as you let a small giggle of amusement.
In that instant, the atmosphere changed into a lively one with the women eventually joining in, copying Luffy as he danced and pranced around.
Lively to the point, they all got comfortable around him.
"Hey now. Everyone, that's enough."
You scolded, seeing how they all gotten too comfortable around him to the point they all have been reaching towards his rubbery skin.
"Hey!"
Soon you found yourself looking for Luffy as the women all went after him in hopes of touching his skin.
"There you are, Luffy..."
You found him crouching on a building roof. As soon as you said that, his long rubbery arms stretched and grabbed you by your waist towards him.
"Geez...What's the matter with you guys?!"
"I apologize on their behalf. It's just... we barely seen a man this close before..."
You gave him an apologetic smile. Seeing that, he soon let out a laugh as he told you that it was fine.
"I never really got to thank you for defending me in that arena earlier."
"I...just did what I thought was right...."
You told him, slightly ashamed on your actions yet you never regretted it. Yes, you felt guilty for disobeying the Snake Princess, but you couldn't find it in yourself to just allow them to kill Luffy when it wasn't his fault that he ended up stranded on your Island.
"Say Luffy...What does the outside world looks like...?"
You asked. Your curiosity resurfaced after many years of trying to supress it, was it because of Luffy being here? But after becoming Boa Hancock's closest aid, you devoted yourself to follow every command without questions. Your loyalty overcame the curiosity about the world outside of Amazon Lily.
"Are....the seas really that vast? Are there really more islands out there?"
Back then, Hancock barely spoke to you and you could only rely on either Sandersonia or Marigold to tell you all about what they had seen while traveling through the seas. Brief conversations that could never satisfy you. It was thirst of wanting something that you know you will never have.
After all you have a duty to serve and protect Amazon Lily as it's devoted warrior.
"I dunno. Our adventures are always been exciting that I never really cared how big the sea is. But I do know that the Grandline is huge! I can't wait to sail and see everything with my crew!"
Luffy told you about his recent adventures. From his entry to the grandline, meeting Laboon the huge whale, up to his battles on Thriller Bark.
"There are Islands in the sky?!"
"Yeah! I even beated up this guy with long earlobes!"
"Woah..!"
Luffy grinned as he stared at your sparkling eyes that was looking back at him with wonder and admiration. He was reminded of Chopper just by staring at you. He wanted to see his crew badly now.
"I'll sail through these seas and become the King of Pirates!"
"I'm sure that you'll be able to do it!"
You encouraged, getting all hyped up from just his words alone. Luffy's aura reminded you of the sun and its brightness. That's how you felt just being near him.
Warmth.
"You know, you could just get on board that pirate ship your Empress have. You'll see how big the grandline is, with your own eyes."
You faltered at his words, he seem to have noticed and started to frown.
"What's wrong?"
"I just....feel like I have a sense of duty to stay here. And the snake princess said it herself. I'm not ready to leave the Island just yet."
"Why? You're already strong..."
"I can't disobey the Snake Princess, Luffy..."
Why can't you disobey? Was it because obeying her was something that you already drilled into your mind at a young age...? Or is it because you can't make decisions for yourself without having someone tell you what to do.
You grew up never knew how to say 'No'. It was always you doing what you have been told without ever complaining whether the task is easy or difficult. Because you hated to disappoint not only your Empress but also your fellow warriors.
"I see..."
Luffy just looked at you as if he already knows what was going on, yet he didn't say anything. His eyes stared at your tense and slightly trembling form. He then went through his pockets and pulled out a chunk of meat that he managed to save right before he was chased after by the Kujas.
"I do what I wanna do, I'm captain of my ship. Not even my crew can stop me!....Well maybe Nami. She's scary like a demon."
He took a huge bite before looking back at you with a grin. Seeing bits of meat stuck on his teeth made you laugh slightly. Luffy is really is a silly man.
"It doesn't hurt not to listen all the time. You went to defend me even when you know that you'll be in trouble. You do what you think is right!"
Your words from earlier came back towards you. You couldn't help but grew fond of him, hearing his somehow meaningful words as he feasted on the meat was holding without a care in the world.
He doesn't even seems to realize the effect his words he had on you.
"Thank you, Luffy...."
You stood up from your place and immediately waved discreetedly towards Marguerite who spotted you right away.
"Hey...! What are you doing?!.... They might see me and chase me again...!"
"You need a place to hide, right? Don't worry, Marguerite knows what to do. She'll take you there."
When Luffy came back from Marineford, he was gravely injured. You could only watch from the distance as the men wearing white boiler suits docked at the far side of the Island.
The last time you saw him was when he left in a hurry to save his brother Ace from execution. Your Empress gave you a brief summary of what had happened and gave you temporary management of the warriors while her and her sisters sailed off.
"(Name)...Keep watch over those men on the far side of the Island. Report back once Luffy regain conciousness...please..."
The Snake Princess looks very distraught, so you immediately agreed upon hearing her request. Not a command, but a request. You could never deny a request.
Two weeks. That was how long you kept watch. The warriors back at the village would often bring you meals. By following the rules with the exception of Luffy, you kept your distance from the men and hid on top of trees.
Eventually, Luffy woke up. You were happy and was about to report until you noticed something odd.
Luffy went on a rampage.
"Hey...Can you report this to the Snake Princess in my stead? Tell her that Luffy regained conciousness..."
You asked a fellow Kuja who happens to be nearby. From the distance you could hear distant shouting of intense agony and destruction.
"Luffy!"
You stood on top of a tree branch, watching in absolute shock, as Luffy destroys everything around him. Trees and boulders. Nothing was left untouched. You began to worry that he might reopen his wounds.
Fortunately, the blue fish-man managed to calm him down. But the sight of Luffy crying made you feel a sudden ache from within too. As if you could feel his pain. Luffy lost his brother, and it somehow hurt you too.
"It must have hurt so much....doesn't it...Luffy?"
You were hurting for him. You want him to show his usual sunshine smile like he always have. Crying is not something you want to see Luffy do yet you don't even know how to comfort him.
"I want to approach and say something but..."
You weren't naive. You know of the snake princess' illness and how much she needs Luffy if she wants to live long. So to spare your own feelings you decided at that moment, to stay away from him even after growing so fond of him. How much you wanted to be there for him now that he needed someone to lean on as he suffers.
"The....empress' happiness comes first..."
So now, you could only watch on a distance as your heart breaks from hearing his cries.

Youâre Jealous
Summary: You get jealous of someone else in his life.
Characters: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Ace, Sabo, Law, and Kid
Genre: Slight Angst // Fluff
CW: None // SFW
âââÂ
Luffy:
He never told you Boa Hancock was in love with him, and when you find out, you have to remove yourself from the situation before you have an emotional outburst and start something with the Pirate Empress. The problem is, you donât even know which emotion will spill out of you. Finding out the worldâs most beautiful woman, and a powerful Warlord, no less, is desperate to marry Luffy is a whirlwind, to say the least. Luffy can seem clueless at times, but his emotional intelligence is through the roof, and he picks up on what has you upset almost straight away. He knows to give you some space, and when he senses youâre ready, he approaches you with a handful of wildflowers he picked. He doesnât really say much, just pulls you into a hug, presses a few kisses into your cheek and temple, and says in your ear, âyouâre my girl.âÂ
Zoro:
He didnât mention Perona was also at Mihawkâs castle for those two years until a few months after the crew gets together. He tells a story that features her, and you realize there was a woman keeping him company. Your heart drops into your stomach. Zoro insists he didnât mention her because he didnât think she was relevant; the only thing Perona did those two years was annoy him. Heâs actually the one who wonât let it go, not you (even though you are pretty jealous). Whereas youâd prefer not to talk about it, Zoro is wracked with guilt because heâd never considered the whole thing in a relationship context. Him fretting constantly over it actually heals your jealousy because you realize youâve never seen him panic over the prospect of hurting anyone elseâs feelings.Â
Sanji:
Even with a third eye, Pudding is stunning. And Sanji almost married her. It was before you two were together, but listening to the stories from Whole Cake, hearing how close he came to marrying another woman, knowing she really did fall in love with his kind heart and wonderful cooking, turns you into a little green monster. You know you shouldnât feel jealous of a woman youâve never met before, a woman Sanji chose not to marry, but you canât help it. Sanji is completely shocked that you would feel jealous over his relationship (if it could even be called that) with Pudding, though after thinking about it some more, he does realize why you might be jealous that he had a fiancĂ©. His solution is to bring you a bouquet of roses and walk you through the dark details of his life, telling you things heâs never outright told anyone, so you understand the special place you have in his life.Â
Ace:
He collects people without trying, and often times, without realizing, either. Ace thinks heâs just making friends, but you see the way the women he laughs and shares drinks with are drawn to him like plants to the sun. He promises them freedom and adventure (and he has a very nice laugh), and you can see how it excites them. You donât really mind it, knowing Ace well enough to see the way he holds those women at armâs length, even if he seems close with them (such is the magic of Fire First Ace). But Yamato makes you jealous. Itâs not hearing the way they laughed together but hearing the way they fought that gets to you. You know how Ace lives to fight and even just roughhouse, you know how heâs a rough and tumble guy, and you worry youâre not tough enough. Should you be punching his arm when he makes a joke? Should you be trying to trip him out on deck? What should you be doing? When you finally come clean with Ace about whatâs been bothering you, he actually laughs. âIf I wanted to be with someone who gives me hell, Iâd be sleeping in Marcoâs cabin every night. Besides,â he says, scooping you up in his arms, âI like being able to manhandle you.âÂ
Sabo:
Sabo is a flirt, and you knew that going into your relationship. It actually doesnât bother you when he flashes that charming smile of his at someone else or swoops in to save a damsel in distress (a speciality of his) and even serves to entertain, especially on the rare occasions his flirtations are rebuked. What does bother you, though, is his tight relationship with Koala. You know itâs ridiculous to be envious, you know Koala would sooner saw off her arm than kiss the man she considers her irksome big brother, but theyâve known each other since they were little kids, and Koala has been through so much with Sabo that the pair have such a close bond. Itâs not the angry kind of jealousy that bubbles up in you when Koala mentions something about Saboâs past that she assumes you know but you donât, just the sad kind that you try to keep to yourself. Surprisingly, Sabo notices, though you donât realize until he hugs you from behind and mumbles in your ear that heâs glad youâre the only one who knows he has a skincare routine, his silly words diffusing your mood and acting as the exact affirmation you needed. If itâs not enough, though, heâll happily prove his loyalty to you by challenging Koala to a karate match, though. Â
Law:
Dr. Law and Dr. Robin sure do get along well- so well, in fact, you canât help but wonder if they are better suited to each other than you and him. Even if they didnât have such good chemistry, it would be impossible not to feel a touch of jealousy toward the archeologist. Sheâs intelligent, beautiful, fiercely loyal, a member of the Straw Hats, and has an impressive bounty that she earned even before she became a pirate. Needless to say, you find yourself brooding when the Robin brings him a beer and sits down beside him to discuss the immune systems of fishmen, a topic both are rather interested in. Of course, youâre interested in that, too, thus the reason Law realizes something is wrong when you donât participate in the conversation. He ends up excusing the two of you and taking you to bed, worrying you had too much to drink, the thought you may be jealous never once occurring to him. You end up not saying anything (many thing in your relationship with Law being unspoken) and just sleeping it off, the fact that he excused the two of you proof enough of his loyalty.Â
Kid:
He doesnât ever talk about his first love, Victoria. In fact, you didnât even know she existed until Killer got drunk one night and began speaking of his dearly departed. What he didnât mention was that Kid, too, had been in love with her. It only comes up the next night when you mention it to Wire, who mentions it was the death of his first love, Victoria, that put Kid on the war path and united the first four members of the Kid Pirates. Realizing Wire messed up, Heat chimes in to say, âheâd do the same for you.â But youâre not convinced, mainly because Kid never told you any of this. It tears you apart, leaves you tossing and turning for nights on end, until you finally burst into Kidâs workshop one night ranting about how he doesnât trust you and holds you at armâs length. âHeat says youâd do the same for me, but-â Kid cuts you off and says, âI wouldnât do the same, Iâd do worse. Much, much worse.â And from the wicked gleam in his eye, youâre inclined to believe him.Â

LUFFY
The first thing Luffy saw when he finally snapped out of the strange haze of pure aggression that had possessed him was the horrific sight of your body being hit by his gum-gum whip. One second you were doubled over his arm and as the impact hit you were thrown back at a forceful, blinding speed with no one being able to react in time to stop you from hitting the ground. They could only watch as you crashed loudly against the floor and tumbled, the momentum carrying you until you slid to a stop in a crumbled heap.Â
Usually energetic and first to act, Luffy found himself completely frozen as he stood and stared only at your form finding it unrecognisable. No, it couldnât be you. You looked so tiny as he watched Chopper hurry to your side and roll you over to check on your injuries. Your body was limp and bloodied and it was his fault. Slowly Luffy looked down at his shaking hands and he glared at them as he grit his teeth so tightly he felt like his own jaw would snap under the pressure and if it did, then it was the least he deserved.Â
When everyone was safely on the Sunny and Chopper was tending to your wounds, the others filled Luffy in on what happened. None of them knew something was wrong until it was too late. One minute they were watching Luffy effortless deal with his opponent as he usually did. The next his opponent had done something to him just before falling unconscious. Then everyone was trying to reach their Captain and calm him as he suddenly went on a rampage. Incoherently he was yelling out attacks and throwing them out at random. For the longest time they all held their own and were able to dodge Luffyâs attacks but sadly you got hit just as the rampage.
No matter how much everyone told him it wasnât his fault, Luffy ignored them. Heâd done the worst thing imaginable. Yes, heâd fought Usopp and Sanji, and even Zoro in the past but those were in fights they both agreed to. What heâd done to you⊠again the image of you getting hit flashed in his head and he sharply slammed his fist on the table, leaving the kitchen and ignored Sanjiâs call that dinner would soon be ready. Instead he continued walking until he was perched on Sunnyâs head. Throwing himself down, Luffy tightly shut his eyes and tried to shut everything and everyone out. Â
You woke a day later, pain flaring through your body dizzyingly. Even when you tried to sit up as slowly and as carefully as you could, it was still too much and you could only let out a shuddering gasp and had to go even slower. Exhausted you finally managed to sit up and blinked to notice the iconic straw hat of your Captain and boyfriend on the bed. It must have been set on you while you were sleeping and moved when youâd woken. Gingerly you let your fingers skim the edge of the hat and you pulled it closer. âIâm sorry.â You looked to see Luffy enter, it almost seemed wrong that he wasnât wearing the hat.Â
He knelt on the floor and folded his arms on the bed, looking up at you sadly. As much as he wanted to punish himself, he couldnât bring himself to be apart from you. Your free hand lightly moved to run through his head. âWhy do I have your hat, Luffy?â
âI wanted to show you how sorry I am. Itâs my treasureâŠbut youâre more important to me. Forgive me?â
âLuffy, thereâs nothing to forgive.â You told him softly, using all the strength you could to lift his hat back onto his head where it belonged, relieved to see the visible weight on Luffyâs shoulders lift. It hadnât mattered to him what the others said, he needed to hear it from you and only you to know you didnât hate him. Only your opinion mattered and to know you still loved him and looked at him the same way was all he needed.Â
ACE
He was a monster, this proved it. Ace knew that it was only a matter of time before his evil blood reared its ugly head and made him unrecognisable, made him act against his morals and instincts. Although technically it was an enemy Devil Fruit user that controlled him, ordered him to destroy everything in his path and hurt those he loved, the end result was still the same. A switch had been flipped in his mind and he became a mindless, destructive force of fire and choking ash. It was a miracle no one was killed and that was thanks to you but your intervention came at a price.
When Ace woke from his confusion he felt drained and saw the sea prism cuffs on his wrists but what caught his attention was your pained whimper youâd tried to bite back as Marco got to work on healing you. Through the blue flames Ace could see the swirled burn marks against your arm and shoulder. Sickened he looked away from you and saw the destruction heâd caused. Buildings were now smouldering as his flames were dying down, taken care of by his crew while the people who lived in the small town watched on. There was a small clink and Ace blinked to see Izou unlocking the cuffs, holding Aceâs powers at bay. âWe took care of the bastard that did this to you. You werenât the only one heâd terrorised with his ability but you are the last. No one holds you accountable Ace.â
Despite the kind words, Ace still felt himself falling further into self-loathing he hadnât experienced in a long while. For days he withdrew himself and silently worked with the others to rebuild the village heâd destroyed. He didnât deserve his family in the Whitebeard crew, his didnât deserve Popsâ reassurances, he didnât deserve the tattoo on his back that heâd always displayed proudly. He didnât deserve you and anytime you tried to approach, Ace made a quick escape.Â
At first you decided to give your lover some space to clear his head and work on repairing the village. As much as youâd wanted to do your part, your burns left you unable to do much of the heavier work. Marco had been very insistent that you just sit back and rest and anytime you made a move to so much as look at the tools or materials they were using, the Phoenix would float as if from nowhere and demand to know why you were ignoring his medical orders. During your latest admonishment you felt a stare aimed at you. Looking over you caught Aceâs gaze only to sigh when he quickly lowered his head and walked away. Now it was your turn to ignore Marco and you walked after your boyfriend. You finally caught him on the ship and stood firmly in the doorway, blocking his only escape.Â
âNo more running Ace. We have to talk about this.â You told him, watching him flinch and look at the ground. âLook at me, Ace. Please.â
âI canât bear to see that look in your eyes.â He whispered and your eyebrows furrowed in confusion.Â
âWhat look?â You asked. âAce, I donât blame you for my injury. I donât look at you any differently.â
âExactly.â He ground out, hands balling against his sides. âYou should hate me, see me as the monster I am. I canât stand to see you still look at me with love in your eyes.â
âAce Iâll always love you.â You told him, beginning to step forward. Even without looking at you, Ace sensed your advance and responded with a step back.Â
âDonât.â
âI love you Ace.â You reaffirmed. Your fingers reached out to slip around his fist, gently coaxing his hand to relax. âI love you.â You repeated those three impactful words over and over again until you finally felt Aceâs arms wrap around you and let him bury his face into your uninjured shoulder. For every apology that spilled from his lips, you answered with a declaration of love for him, soothing his guilt slowly but surely.
SABO
Normally Sabo would feel nothing but restless excitement to be finally returning to the Revolutionary Army base, to finally see you again. Normally a mission lasting two months would have driven him to make up the time apart to you and promise that his next mission would be short. This time however? He was only returning to quickly give Dragon a report and then demand the next mission available. Preferably the longer the better. Sabo still couldnât shift the pit of ice twisting painfully in his stomach or bring himself to feel anything but shame and heartbreak. Heâd hurt you. On your last mission, an enemy had gotten the better of you both and used his ability to make Sabo his mindless puppet, given the simple order of âdestroy your comradeâ before escaping.Â
While you were fiercely strong and capable, Sabo always had just a little bit more of an edge in combat by comparison and with no restraint, he was deadlier than normal. Knowing you had to fight back against your lover if you wanted to both survive this ordeal. Hack and Koala were outside and you were counting on him to pursue your target while you held your own in your fight, in the hopes Sabo would eventually snap out of it. Youâd done as you intended but one moment of hesitation was all it took.Â
You didnât react in time and Saboâs pipe connected against your head, knocking you to the ground. Dazed and in pain, you tried to push yourself to your feet only to freeze when Saboâs Dragon Talon latched onto your spine. Panic set in and your tried to break free before he properly attacked but in seconds his fingers flexed and you shrieked in agony. Neither of you could tell for certain if the sound of your pain, Koala taking down the target, or the effect of the ability had simply worn off but Sabo released you and staggered back while you passed out from the pain. Had he put any more power into the attack or let it prolong any longer than he had then you would have never been able to walk again.Â
While that was a good result, the damage was already done and you had a long road to recovery to take. Unable to face you or what heâd done, Sabo took the mission he was only now returning from. He hadnât even waited for your to wake. He couldnât justify acting like nothing had happened. The shame was too great for him to face you.Â
âWhat do you mean thereâs no missions?!â Sabo demanded as he stood in Dragonâs office.
âNone for you, not until you settle matters here.â His superior explained, keeping his eyes trained on Saboâs report. âYouâre needed more here than out there, Sabo. Now get to the infirmary.â Unable to disobey a direct order, Sabo nodded and did as he was told. He was a fool to hope he could run forever.Â
Silently he entered the room to see you diligently working through your physiotherapy exercises. Your steps were still slow but you could see the improvement all thanks to the Revolutionaryâs medical team and your own resilience. Hearing the door, you looked up to see Sabo and while you felt relieved to see him home safe, you couldnât help but feel hurt that he hadnât said goodbye in the first place.Â
âDid you get lost?â You asked lightly, a joke you both always said when the other was away for any longer than a week. Sabo couldnât bring himself to answer with his usual cheer and playful tone. Instead he swallowed the lump in his throat and glanced at the doctor.Â
âCould you give us a few minutes?â He requested gently. When the room was empty and you moved to the nearest seat, still finding long periods on your feet to be draining, Sabo cleared his throat. âI know I have a lot of apologising to do and I know none of it is going to change what I did but please know Iâd understand if you wanted to end things and wonât object-â
âHit me, Sabo.â You demanded, shocking Sabo into stopping his rambling.Â
âWhat?â
âHit me, kick me, whatever you want.â You shrugged, watching him approach you slowly.Â
âNo! Iâd never do that to you.â Sabo refused, crouching down in front of you to remain eye-level. His expression became even more confused when you smirked at him in satisfaction.
âExactly. Youâd never hurt me.â You repeated. âYouâd never knowingly or willingly hurt me. You didnât have to run away. I understood.â
âIâm sorry. Iâll make it up to you.â
âJust donât hide from me again, okay?â You asked, reaching out to cup his face. âIf Iâm to get my strength back I need you here to support me.â
âIâll never let you down again.â Sabo promised, leaning into your touch and finally allowed himself to feel the warmth and relief of returning home to you.

Doubt (Zoro x Reader)
_____ Pairing: Zoro x Reader Summary: An offhanded comment makes you insecure, but Zoro is there to reassure you in his own way. Warnings: Angst to Fluff, Ussop's unintentionally mean in the beginning? Notes: The above image does NOT belong to me, Female Reader [One Piece Masterlist] ______
It was a passing comment; one you knew you shouldn't look into, one that meant no harm. But the words hit you harder than you thought it would. You had been talking rapidly about your adventures from the last island you and your crew had visited. There, you had all fought enemies, saved new friends and eaten together; the same old. Luffy, Chopper and Usopp had been listening eagerly matching your grin with keen interest in your tale as the crew had once again been split up on your journey. You spoke of the obscure things you saw on your side of the adventure, the enemies you faced and how they compared to those your crew had fought, the new fighting methods you had mastered, the people you met; everything. You hear Luffy's laugh brimmed with light humour as Chopper's eyes gleamed when you spoke of how you dealt the finishing blow on your opponent. You probably should've noticed how long you had been talking and exclaiming but you were lost in your glee, so much so that you didn't realise until Usopp spoke out with a teasing grin.
"Damn [y/n], you can sure talk a lot." You stop your story short at his teasing words meeting his mischievous gaze with a roll of your eyes. "And what's that supposed to mean?" Chopper nods eyes determinedly looking to Usopp as Luffy starts to doze off once his initial interest has passed. "Yeah, I wanna hear [y/n] tell their story!" Chopper exclaims from beside you as you smile at his excited and adorable form. Usopp sweatdrops at the sudden ridicule aimed at him and tries to backtrack on his words, only to make things worse. "I didn't mean anything bad about it- I just mean like you're so talkative and outspoken- and you know Zoro's-" Your eyes turn to him in surprise as he mentions your boyfriend. "Zoro?" You ask as you raise your brow. What has he got to do with this? "Yeah well, Zoro's so reserved and nonchalant, I just guess it surprised me that you got together- I mean, Zoro doesn't seem like one to tolerate people that- I mean, that came out wrong-" You can't help but frown at his words as he continues to ramble and you listen to what he implies. Was that really what Usopp thought; was it what the crew thought? That you were "too much", that Zoro was just tolerating you?
"I just meant-" Usopp starts to panic now as he sees the fall of your features at his misplaced words, making it seem that you were a burden, but Sanji's voice rings through to cut him off before he can try to redeem himself. "[y/n]-san~ dinner's ready!" You turn to see the love-lost cook burst out from within the kitchen now looking down to you from where you sat on the deck of the ship. His facade quickly falls however as his eyes sharpen towards the men that surround you. "Oi, Usopp, Chopper, wake Luffy and hurry or there'll be none for you!" You turn to your friends as Sanji whizzes away in search of the other female members of the crew. You give Chopper and Usopp a smile despite them seeing how it didn't gleam as it usually did. "Come on, let's go. Hey Luffy!" You then nudge your Captain purposefully as he sits up in confusion. "[y-y/n]?" You sigh at his drowsy state but go towards the kitchen. "Dinner!" You say, and the three all promptly follow to the dining room.
When you sit down at the dining table, you would have thought you'd forget the brief inclinations of Usopp's words just moments earlier, but you didn't. It suddenly made you self-conscious, made you think so deeply into the conversation you had, despite you knowing better; it was just Usopp taking things too far as usual. But then it made you think about all the interactions you had with your boyfriend. You remember all the instances you would speak animatedly about your day, talking while he trained or lay around the ship. Was it annoying to him? You think of his reaction, he didn't seem too fazed when you did. But he never seemed invested either, merely a nod of his head or an odd grunt of acknowledgement. Then, your thoughts go deeper. You think of the instances you would seek him out, you think of every time you showered him with affection behind closed doors, thought of every brush of your hand against his and every move you made.
Was it too much? Was I too much?
Tolerating; is that the word you would use to describe Zoro's demeanour to you? But the more you thought the more you saw how you were the one seeking him out the most, the one talking the most, the one giving affection the most. And the more you thought the more you realised you never took the time to see if Zoro actually enjoyed it; your constant want to be in his presence. You knew you were being stupid. You knew that there were more than enough ways that Zoro showed his love to you in return. You would hear his murmured words, notice small actions, would see affection deep within his eyes. After all, Zoro was nothing if not confident; he would never agree to a relationship unless he truly wanted it; unless he truly adored you. Yet you let the small comments churn within you, buried insecurity rising as you notice your differences. You feel dread next. He wouldn't leave you for it, would he?
You are so lost in your thoughts you don't notice said man walking into the dining room, skin slick with the efforts of his afternoon workout as he makes a beeline for his spot; his spot next to you. Zoro sees you absentmindedly sitting in your seat and nudges you causing you to realise that he is now present. You smile at him then, "Hey Zoro," you grin but Zoro sees slight hesitance in your eyes and your lack of prying words or subtle affection. He nods but decides not to question it as Sanji then puts out the dinner for everyone to share and soon everyone around you is lost to the prospect of food. As you go for your share watching as crew members devour Sanji's new creation you find yourself timid as you look around you. Your friends are shouting and talking and eating joyously, and though you would often be the centre of the overly animated show of dinner, you suddenly feel so drained from your thoughts; almost sad. There is a gnawing feeling of vulnerability in your chest pulled open by the words shared earlier, but you can't help but feel like you're overreacting.
"Oi, are you okay?" You turn in surprise at Zoro's passive words as he goes for another cup of sake sharp eye trained on you. He had noticed how you hadn't filled the air with your vibrant words, talking about all that had happened in the short time you had left him to his workout. He noticed how you, usually up and shouting with the crew as they did now, sat rooted to your spot just eating. He noticed how your eyes didn't shine with the usual mirth they usually did. Sure, he wasn't one to be as talkative as you, or openly share his affections as you did, but it was one of his favourite things about you. Being able to just listen to your joyous voice, feel your love in so many ways, and have you by his side; the one he would protect till the end of time. You, surprised to see that he had actually taken the liberty to notice feel your heart constrict at his care but shake your head nonetheless. "I'm fine."
Only, maybe you weren't.
When evening came, you merely kissed the corner of his face before turning to your side of the bed. No long nightly rants, no excitable or adoring words, no cuddling like you usually begged. Zoro shook off his concern however, thinking you just needed a moment like he sometimes did. That night he slept horribly without you in his arms. When morning came and you awoke to his absence as he left for his early morning workout, you didn't seek him out as you usually did. That morning, Zoro found it strange when you didn't grace him with your lively presence as you usually did. The teasing words as you watched him work, the abundance of plans you shared for the day, your sweet pout as you asked for his attention. Yes, he would merely blush fiercely or nod passively or roll his eyes but the chime of your laughter as he did made his heart warm. The lack of you left the empty spot in the crow's nest cold where you usually sat. These happenings became the entire day, which followed into the week, and despite Zoro putting off his concern earlier, now he was confused and annoyed.
Had he done something wrong?
On your end, you were merely trying your best. You tried to limit your conversations with him, the touch of your hand to his, the engulfing of his form, the kissing of his face. And it honestly hurt. You felt so urgently the need to be by his side, you craved him and yet each time you tried to push away your insecurity, it ate up at you and you hesitated. Was I too much? Would he be annoyed? Would he leave? Was I a burden? So, you didn't. For a week you tried, but you could feel yourself breaking. Currently, you were sitting at the dining room table as Sanji was prepping for the day's lunch. You let out a deep sigh full of sadness, and Sanji, with that woman-radar of his, turned at your blatant dismay. Many of the in-tune members of the crew had noticed the lack of vibrancy in your figure and the much more irritable form of Zoro. "What's wrong [y/n]-san?" You look up to see the blond-haired man looking at you with an unusual seriousness in his eyes; concern. You have seen that a lot this week.
"Nothing's wrong Sanji," you say with a tired smile. But Sanji frowns at you, seeing clearly through your words. "It's that damn Marimo isn't it?" You look up surprised to see that Sanji now has raging anger consuming him. There is literally fire in his eyes as he turns to the door readying to go beat up your boyfriend. "Damn, moss-head thinks he can take poor [y/n]-san's heart away from me and then break it so carelessly, I'll show him what-" You quickly get up stopping Sanji and hoping to prevent a seemingly unlawful murder. "Wait! Sanji it's not him!" Sanji sobers quickly at the gentle touch of your hand on his shoulder holding him back as he turns to you in surprise. He then frowns and surprises you when he looks at you with confusion, "Then what-" He is quickly cut off by the slam of the door as an angry-looking swordsman quickly enters the fray. His sharp eyes travel from your hand to where it still clutched Sanji's shoulder, then to your frozen gaze and then to Sanji's.
"Damn cook! Get your filthy hands off my girlfriend!" Sanji's eyes blaze instantly at that and before you know it the two are fighting like deranged idiots. You observe the suddenly escalated scene in surprise hearing insults thrown left to right and the flurry of limbs as they try to take a chunk out of each other. You then, laugh. It fills you slightly and then it hits you fully. How much you missed Zoro, how much you missed the normalcy even if it was just watching two overpowered idiots fight as they usually did. Zoro turns at the melodic sound of your laughter pausing in his fight as Sanji's eyes turn to hearts at the sound. It had been so long since he heard it; since he saw you as you usually were. A warm hand encapsulates your arm and you look up to see that it is Zoro, now taking you from the kitchen in silence much to the dismay of Sanji.
When the two of you reach your shared room, he turns to you, form tense once again as he forces his words to you. "Okay [y/n], what's actually wrong? You've been avoiding me all week. You haven't come once to the crow's nest. You haven't done the usual shit you do.-" You look up at your boyfriend's unusually frustrated form listening off the things you haven't done that week and you feel your heart brim at his concern. You feel stupid. "I'm sorry." You cut him off as he turns to you, and you look up to him hesitantly. "I- I just thought you know, it might've been annoying to you?" You advert your eyes when his eyebrows raise in surprise. "I'm just so used to sharing everything, and I sometimes get carried away, I just thought- what if-?" You stop yourself as a familiar tugging your heart weighs you down. You hear a deep sigh. "[y/n], is this what this week has been all about?" You nod as you trace the floor with your eyes. "I just didn't want you to leave me."
You feel it then, the strong embrace of your boyfriend's arms, toned with his training and warm against your form. He sighs once again at your words as he rolls his eyes despite you not seeing. "You're an idiot you know that?" You laugh slightly against his chest as you relish the feeling of him after what felt like so long. Zoro doesn't know how to comfort; it was out of his capabilities but you felt it within his arms. His reassurance, his love and the fact that he had missed you too. Suddenly you are overcome with emotion at the fact that you let such small insecurity cause you to waste so much time with the man you adored. "M'sorry, it's just Usopp was saying and I-" Zoro tenses at your words releasing you as he stares into the depths of your eyes. "Usopp?" You freeze then, realising your mistake as you see his signature murderous aura extend from his form. "W-wait Zoro." But he has flown through the door quicker than you can force him to stay and you hear the darkly uttered words at the crew's sniper.
"Usopp, so this was all your fault huh?"
"W-wait [y/n]- tell him I didn't mean it, I'm sorry-"
You watch as he tries to evade your boyfriend's wrath but he merely sees the reason you have been sulking all week; why he had suffered the whole week. You just laugh at the comical sight, free of your doubt and reminded that despite your differences the both of you would be just fine.

‷ notes. request by @amortentiaz for a jealous!reader over luffy's relationship with boa hancock. i think i got a little too invested in writing reader's anger, maybe i should write some more angst... i hope you enjoy! <3
Your boyfriend wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
Was he caring? Of course, he cuddled and hugged and kissed you near constantly. Was he attentive? Easily, he always wanted to snuggle with you, no matter your locationâeven if it led to some unfortunate circumstances.
But he may just be the most scatterbrained boyfriend anyone could ask for, and your current situation was perhaps the best example of his obliviousness.
"Ah, Luffy! I have more food if you want it!"
"Really?! Thank you, Hancock!"
You and Luffy had gotten pulled off your ship by a terrible storm, only a small makeshift raft of wood to keep you afloat. A miracle had led you to land on Amazon Lily, an island led by a woman with a fixation for Luffy.
And so here you were, stuck watching the most beautiful woman in the world drape herself over your boyfriend like they'd been married for the last thirty years. Sure, your boyfriend was the greatest catch in the East Blue, but he was your boyfriend. Not Hancock's 'sweetie pie honey bun super-special pirate king.'
You had just finished talking with Jimbei through the snail transponder, who informed you that the ship would be there tomorrow in the morning. Unfortunately, that meant you would have to stay here.
"Alright, Luffy," you sighed, "The Thousand Sunny will be here in the morning, which means that we're stuck here for tonight."
"There's a room prepared for you in the palace if you need it, Luffy! I can have whatever you need brought there," Hancock swooned, feeding Luffy a drumstick.
"Ooh! Hey, is there anything you need, ____?" Luffy turned to ask, voice muffled by all the meat stuffed inside his mouth.
You looked behind Luffy to meet eyes with Hancock, watching her expression sour at the mention of your name.
"I think I'm fine. Thanks, Luf," you muttered, crossing your arms.
"Ok, but Hancock can bring us anything, so if you change your mind you can ask her!" he grinned, taking another large bite of the drumstick.
You sighed, briefly meeting eyes with Hancock who silently scoffed at your presence. Angrily, you stomped out of the palace and out of the town, going far, far away from the oh-so benevolent queen of the island.
As you walked into the expansive forest of the island, you began kicking a rock with each step, muttering under your breath.
"Oh Luffy, here's some yummy food!" you kicked the rock. "Oh Luffy, what dress do you think I should wear?" you kicked the rock. "Oh Luffy, you should break up and we should get married and have a bunch of tiny beautiful babies!"
You kicked the rock off the path, watching it roll off into underbrush and onto the grass floor of the forest.
"Go on then," you grumbled, "go get married to the prettiest girl in the world! then you can really be King of the Pirates..."
As you walked further into the tropical forest of the island, you came upon a rocky cliff, a beautiful location covered in small plants and light foliage. Rocks jutting out harshly in every which way, moss growing upon it, unbothered and untouched.
This is just what you need.
You stepped up to the edge of the cliff and gazed at the forest below, wild and vibrant green hues filling up every space you looked at. The sky was similar, a brilliant cloudless blue, like a calm blue sea without a boat in sight. You could stare at this serene scene for all of eternity, if only time allowed.
Sighing wistfully, you closed your eyes and stretched your body, taking a deep breath.
And then, you screamed.
You screamed at nothing and everything, all at once. At Hancock and Luffy, together, singularly, at their actions, at their attitudes. You shrieked at Hancock's cruel expressions, her blatant disregard for your own feelings. You screeched at Luffy's oblivious disposition, his inability to realize how you felt about all of this. You screamed until your throat burned, until you could feel your eyes welling up with tears and your screams turned into sobs turned into silent crying.
Needless to say, it was a much needed catharsis.
You calmed yourself down and walked back to the bustling city, taking in the nature surrounding you. As you continued walking, a long, rubbery leg touched down onto the forest path. The leg was attached to your boyfriend, who jumped down from the trees with a bewildered and frightened expression on his face.
"Are you okay ____?!" I heardâ"
"I'm fine," you snapped, brushing past him.
Luffy gave you a confused look as you walked towards the village, on your way to check out the room in the palace Hancock so graciously gave you.
It was placed right next door to Hancock's own chambers, no doubt because she wanted to keep Luffy close, but the interior was far more shocking. Instead of a giant king sized bed in the middle, two bedsâone far bigger than the otherâwith a great deal of space separating them were inside. It was almost too obvious to tell which bed was Luffy's, given the amount of food and gift baskets surrounding it.
You were just shocked that she put you in Luffy in the same room.
Deciding it wasn't worth complaining about, you instead searched around the castle in search of a library, a place Luffy would never look for you.
It wasn't that you were mad at him. No, it would be more accurate to say that you were furious. But you knew deep inside your mind that it wasn't his fault. But you also knew that if you saw him again, you would blow up, explode, in his face.
You stayed in the library until midnight, reading fairy tales and historical texts, immersing yourself in the stories and history these books contained. You could feel the anger and jealousy in your veins dwindle with each page you read.
Once you had returned your amassed collection of books back to their shelves, you made your way back to your room. Expectations were low, you were fairly certain that Luffy wouldn't have a clue regarding your feelings, and a conversation would most certainly need to happen.
Walking quietly to your shared room, you carefully opened the door. the first thing you noticed was that Luffy was still awake, crouched in the middle of his bed. It wasn't strange for Luffy to be awake so late in the night, knowing that his sleep schedule was pretty irregular, but an unusually upset expression was etched into his face.
The second thing you noticed was that the delicious gifts surrounding his bed were uneaten, unopened, the wrapping on a few having not been touched.
Luffy noticed you immediately, the corners of his lips pulling down even further, his brow furrowed in a mixture of, seemingly, sadness and confusion, like a puppy watching their owner leave for the first time.
"Are you mad at me?" he blurted out quietly, clutching his knees.
All you could do was sigh in response, moving to sit on your own bed.
"I don't know," you confessed, looking away from him. "I'm...mad, yeah. But at you? I don't know."
Luffy remained quiet until you decided to break the silence.
"Hancock is pushy," you crossed your arms, "she's pushing my boundaries and she's pushing her way between us. I know she's a friend of yours and she's helped you a lot, but it hurts to watch her snuggle up to you and talk about the 'love' between you."
You looked up at Luffy, seeing the realization and hurt flood his eyes, his fingers twitching as his legs slid towards the edge of the bed.
He didn't say anything yet, instead squeezing the blankets and looking down at his feet, clearly composing his thoughts.
"I'm sorry, ____," Luffy whispered, standing up from the bed. "I know Hancock does nice things for me, but I don't see her like I see you,"
"Then why don't you tell her off? Tell her to leave you alone, tell her you're in a relationship?" you pushed, feeling the jealousy seething out of you.
Luffy frowned and walked closer to you, sitting down on your bed. "You're the greatest treasure I've ever found," he confessed, moving his hands to yours, "it's like you're so shiny and bright, and everybody else is all gray. I know Hancock talks a lot and gives me a lot of food, but if you don't want me to talk or take stuff from her, then I won't, promise!"
Despite your attempts to remain stoic, you were unable to disguise the twinge of a smile caused by Luffy's statement, choosing to nuzzle your face in his neck to hide.
"You don't have to ignore her, Luf. Just ask her to tone it down, maybe? She is the queen of this place. Even if I'm mad at her, I'd rather not piss off someone who can kill us with a snap of her fingers," you mumbled, playing with his vest.
Luffy gave you a big hug, wrapping his rubbery arms around once, and then twice. "If she tries to hurt you, then I'll stop her! You're way more awesome than her," Luffy declared with a pout, falling back into your tiny bed with you in his arms, "and I promise I'll be an extra awesome boyfriend for you."
"You're too sweet, Luf," you laughed softly, hugging him tighter. "But maybe we should move to the bigger bed?"
"I'm too tired, and I'm already comfy," he whined.
"Fine," you grumbled, too tired to argue with your much stronger boyfriend (and captain.)
"G'night, ____," Luffy hummed, pulling you closer to his chest.
You smiled, shutting your eyes, "Night, Luffy."
The morning seemed to come swiftly, light spilling into the room and striking your face. Your boyfriend was still wrapped around you like a vice, caging you tightly against his chest.
"Luffy," you groaned, trying to push him away, "you gotta let me go, it's time to get up,"
Luffy moaned and pressed his face to your chest, "Five more minutes, pretty please?"
"Jimbei said the ship would be here in the morning, the mor-ning, Luf. If we're late to meet them then Nami will beat our asses."
"Then I'll beat her up!"
"Then I'll have to dig your grave."
Luffy pouted and retracted his arms, crossing them, "Fine, we can go now."
Now free from you boyfriend's hold, you and Luffy changed your clothes for the new day, then exited the bedroom.
Immediately upon opening the door, you were greeted with the beautiful, illuminating face of Boa Hancock, who was clearly shocked and upset to see you exit with Luffy.
"Ah, Luffy! I just wanted to see if you wanted to have breakfast? I've had 60 eggs cooked and 30 plates of meatâ"
"Sorry, Hancock!" Luffy interrupted, scooping you up and throwing you over his shoulder, "we've gotta go!"
"Butâ"
Without letting her get another word out, Luffy sprinted through the halls of the palace and out of an expansive window, stretching his way across the viridian forest below.
The sights below were familiar, but it was strange seeing them down below. You could make out the path you travelled through the leaves, even catching a glimpse of the cliff you had stood on last night, a horrible moment during a horrible day that seemed so far away now.
As Luffy jumped from tree to tree, occasionally breaking through the canopy to give you that bird's-eye view, you eventually landed at the gate to Amazon Lily, where the thousand sunny was currently floating.
"Hey, lovebirds!" Nami yelled up, waving her arms, "you're just in time! Let's get out of here!"
"Please, let me go! I need to get onto that island!" Sanji cried out, held in place by Robin's devil fruit-generated limbs.
Luffy let out a boisterous laugh, "We're comin' down! Let's go, ____!" he howled, sprinting towards the ledge.
You looked over your shoulder, fear in your eyes, "Luffy, don't you dare!"
Luffy, ignoring your pleas for a safer entrance, leapt onto the ship with a battle cry, landing perfectly on the wooden deck with you in hand. He gently set you down, flashing a grin as he patted your shoulder.
"Wasn't that fun?!" Luffy exclaimed, dusting off his straw hat.
You collapsed in shock, sprawling your limbs out on the deck as you recovered from your near-death situation.
"We'll...we'll work on that," you panted, desperately attempting to catch your breath.
"Sweet! Let's go now!" Luffy cheered, pulling you back up
"Go? Where?" you asked, astonished, "we just got back to the ship?"
"I told ya, I'm gonna be and extra super awesome boyfriend!" he beamed, "now we have to go do some extra super awesome stuff!"
He once again wrapped you up in his arms, flashing a smile as he hugged you.
"I promise I'm gonna be a way better boyfriend from now on, I won't disappoint you!" he beamed.
You smiled back and ruffled his hair, kissing his forehead.
"You're already the best boyfriend I could ask for, Luffy."
"But I can be better!"
"Better than best?"
"Best of the best!"
You threw you head back and laughed, squeezing him back.
"Alright, Luf. Show me what you have in mind."

Monster trio rejecting you Pt.2
The long awaited part 2! I absolutely loved writing Zoros partđ
Warnings: angst, a bit of fluff
âââ-
Luffy
Surprisingly it wasnât as hard to get over him because you knew he was just a knuckle head like that
On your new adventures you met new people, one specifically caught your eye.
Ace.
Ace was caring, funny, charming and very welcoming to be around. You both shared contacts on a transponder snail and talked 24/7, 365. Everyone knew the bond you had and left it alone, except luffy. He always saw you speaking on the snail but never knew who was on the other side.
The crew made a stop to a new island but everyone was waiting for you, who was talking on the transponder snail in your room.
âFinally a new adventure!! Lets go-!â
âLUFFY! Wait we cant leave without y/n!! This island is larger than anything weâve ever seen before and ANYONE can get lost anytime!!â
Luffy sighed in annoyance and stomped off to your room and busted in
âY/N!! LETS GO ALREADY!!â He yells with his chest
You jump in fear and quickly whisper to the other side of the snail âi gotta go!â And hung up.
âWho are you always talking to on that thing anyway?â
You sigh in defeat and answer âAce, i talk to ace.â
âAce? Huh? Why?â
âWell, I think heâs pretty cool and i like him.â
âI thought you liked me?â
âWhat?â
âYou cant like-like me and like-like Ace? I thought we were just starting to get closer?â
You have a dumbfounded look on your face and you laugh at the misunderstanding. Maybe he understood after all, but i wonder why he would hide it.â
âââ
Sanji
Of course it was ALOT more difficult to get over him. You were devastated at how unreasonable he was, it was ridiculous.
So you decided to just not respond often when Sanji would speak to you, it was pointless anyway. He was still trying to pick up a conversation even after all that.
Sanji had a really bad dream one night, it was him re-experiencing the events at Sabaody, you werent there during that time but he dreamt that you were.
He woke up inna horrible cold sweat and immediately walked to the front of the ship, he needed some air. However when he walked out to see his crew doing there normal shenanigans, something was off.
He looks over at you to see you chatting, with brook?? How come your more comfortable around brook than him? He was an even bigger pervert than him.
âY/n, may i see your pant-.â You swat brook on the side of his arm and slightly yell/giggle âno way brook!â
You clear your throat and begin to say âThank you brook for helping me get over Sanji though, its really nice to have someone to talk to when no one else is around.â You leaned in and gave brook a deep hug.
âYOHOHOHOHO! Y/n it is a pleasure!! You flatter me, im blushing!! Although i am a skeleton so i cant really blush!! Yohoho!â
He hugs back and swings you around and you both laugh in glee. Sanji saw all of this and he thought, what did he even do wrong.
ââââ
Zoro
In this you ARE included in the Sabaody Arc
It was VERY difficult to get over Zoro especially since he would never talk to you anymore. Nami being the jerk she was partnered you and Zoro together to walk around. She said it was for the âbonding experienceâ
She kept trying to bring back the spark that you and Zoro had but it will never work anymore.
You heard that day there was going to be an auction so you left to go check it out, you found the auction house and decided to take a seat not paying attention to your surroundings.
âXâcuse me?â Said a man next to you. It startled you and you jump. turning your head to look at him.
âThat seat isnât for you.â
His voice was DEEP.
âOh- ill move- sorry.â A bear in a seat behind him leans over and says. âCome on boss lets let her stay! Shes really pretty!â
âBepo-.â âPleaseee!! Come on you need more allies than foes in this place anyway!â
The man grunts, allowing you to sit down again once more. âLaw. Trafalgar D. Law.â
âY/n L/n.â
âNice to meetâcha Y/N!â
âYouâre a straw-hat arenât you? Hmh. What a tease your Captain isnt first here.â
You chuckle a bit scared at the power law might consist..
Zoro searches nearly the whole place for you, and finally lands at the auction house, he busts in and frantically looks around. He sees you sitting with a man, he cant see his face but he sure can see yours. And your enjoying yourself, this sets something off in him.
Him being your ex-best-friend and all, Hes only used to seeing him make you laugh, but this. This is so different and weird, why does he care?

_______________________________
Luffy never used to remember his dreams. They were hazy and soft, they made him feel warm and fuzzy when he woke up, he would stretch and yawn and theyâd go away so fast and so gently like butterflies flying away. And then heâd see you and hold you and kiss you until you were awake too, as excited to see you and his heart so warm and full of love.
And you were there to enjoy his dreams, he was a noisy sleeper who mumbled happy little thoughts unintelligibly into your neck, he would kick and pinch and squeeze in his sleep which you had to learn to live with because he couldnât go to sleep without a hug and youâd be the one to give it to him all night. But heâd often end up moving and rolling around, tangling himself uncomfortably, protective instincts kicking in he'd get on top of you and lay there, starfish. When he awoke in the night heâd assume his most comfortable and close position with lazy kisses. He was so, so happy every night.
That was two years ago.
Heâs still the same boy he was then, still giving you all those awkward little affections during the night that you missed so much while you were away. But now thereâs more. Now, sometimes, he has nightmares. Awful ones that torment him every so often and make him upset and sad when he awakes in the dark, make him begin to cry when he realizes you arenât in his arms anymore. You always pray for nights when heâs calm like he used to be, you make sure to massage him and kiss him as he falls asleep to coax those good dreams back and help him heal. Of course those years ago heâd get upset and scared and sometimes he wouldnât feel well when he woke up, but that was so rare, that was when something bad had just happened and he was very stressed but it was so rare because he was so, so happy.
Luffyâs happy now, too. He hasnât changed much, really, still an excitable, bouncy kid, always smiling, but now you have to worry about the night. You have to worry about dark thoughts and memories bubbling over when heâs most vulnerable until his body shakes and even your affection is barely enough. This is terrible for you, so unbearably terrible. You have to learn how to soothe something broken, something you love with every fraction of your shattered heart.
_________________________________
Youâre asleep, a dull, unbreakable sleep, youâd curled up in Luffyâs arms when it was time for bed and youâd cuddled together and giggled and kissed until you both fell asleep in a joyful pile. Now youâre so content, you donât even notice how Luffy had accidentally rolled away from you in the night, sheets all tangled up with you and keeping a distracting warmth.
Luffyâs dream isnât bad at first. Itâs the kind where youâre not quite there, floating above the world in just a dull picture, no sound or feeling or touch. Itâs just the ocean, a bird over the sea. But suddenly the ocean is stone and the sky is fire and heâs disoriented, where is he? Whatâs happening? He looks at his hands and theyâre red and heâs frozen in fear like you sometimes are in nightmares. He knows in his fractured, cloudy little mind that something bad is going to happen and heâs going to see that picture again. A thousand flashbulb memories are going to explode at once, in fire. In the waking world in bed heâs twitching and sweating and his eyes are shifting furiously beneath his lids, and you donât know, you arenât there to hold him.
Ace. Aceâs smile and his soft black eyes and theyâre playing in the jungle together and running and running and now thatâs gone, the fireâs back. It all happens at once, so much blood, holding something fading and dying. Heartsick over a goodbye. Itâs one of those nightmares where you cry and scream so much and as loud as you can because everythingâs happening to you at once, but you canât make any sound, youâre just in a tidal wave of amplified agony. And thatâs how Luffy lives in this moment, unable to make out much of anything except darkness and pain, shaking and overheating in his sleep.
But the anguish bursts all around him and then suddenly the fireâs gone and everything is quiet again and Luffyâs awake, tangled uncomfortably in the blankets, face covered in tears. He canât catch his breath and his mind is full and blurry and empty all at once. Suddenly the darkness of the cabin is all encompassing, sickly, he wants it to be day again and for the world to feel safe and happy and oh, where are you?
Fear squeezes his heart as he tries to find you in the darkness, are you gone? He canât handle being alone right now, he canât do this, he searches with his hands in the dark and cries and feels the panic burning a hole in his stomach but finally he turns to his left and there you are. Sleeping. Despite all of this youâre still sleeping, curled up and breathing slowly, unaware and at peace. Luffy wants to wake you up so badly because he doesnât want to be alone but he doesnât want to worry you.
So he climbs into your arms and breathes you in. He buries his face in your chest and tries to calm his injured heart.
Biting his lip and shaking he tries so hard not to cry. He canât bother you, he knows youâll be sad and worried which he really doesnât want. But his whole body hurts, he wants your arms to be tighter, he squeezes and squeezes begging silently for relief and for everything to go away but it wasnât just a night terror it was a memory and memories donât just go away. So he cries.
Youâre stirred from sleep because the sound of Luffy crying is the worst thing you could possibly hear, a thousand of your own memories are brought back and some deep instinct is triggered within you, pulling you, you wake up immediately and the first thing you do is get on top of him and lock him in your arms, trying to breathe slowly so he will too.
He twitches beneath you, cloudy realization that heâs no longer alone. His arms are around you, fingers digging in, sharp pain, heâs trying so hard to make his tears stop as you hold him and stroke his face. But heâs a possessive, needy boyfriend whoâs comforted by protecting who he loves. He sits up, taking you with him, he wraps his arms around you tighter and tighter and then his legs. Heâs breathing heavily on your face, eyes closed, sad still but resilient. Youâre pinned to him, unable to move, but you massage the tension out of his back and shoulders as best you can.
âDid you have a nightmare?â you whisper and he nods against you and holds you even tighter if thatâs possible, ââŠdo you wanna talk about it?â
So he nods very gently but he doesnât say anything. His hands are twitching against you, scratching at your back in leftover desperation.
âWas it about him?â
Luffy leans against you, hopeless and drained, you donât need him to answer so you just press your cheek against his and pet his hair. And his shoulders shake as he cries silently in your arms.
You rest there for a few minutes, unable to do much other than just hold him, and he whispers in your ear, âI miss him so much.â Which wets your eyes because thereâs so much pain in those five words. His voice is breathy, far away.
âI know, Lu⊠Iâm sorry.â Youâre not good at this, you think. You never really know what to say because this goes deeper than words can touch.
Luffy bites his lips. He doesnât want to cause you pain and knowing that he is, itâs just piling on top of his despair. Thereâs so many times heâs oblivious to how youâre feeling but when things are broken, when youâre in distress, reality tugs at the inside of his heart.
âIâve got you,â you whisper, fingers in his hair, you kiss his neck gently and the warmth is getting through to him, so gradually.
âI want him here. I justâŠâ Luffyâs voice is breaking. And you taste fresh tears as you move your lips higher. âI miss him,â he says again.
âI know how much he meant to you. Hey, LuffyâŠâ The slow rise and fall of your chest is slowly steadier his breath now. He looks up at you, that sadness in his eyes is almost too painful to handle but you look at him anyways, eye contact with something beautiful soothes his soul. âHeâd be so proud of you. And how strong you are.â
Heâs heard this before. Luffy sniffles, he knows itâs true but only so much of that can help.
âHeâd be proud of you, because you never gave up, right? You kept going and you got stronger.â And youâre not talking about his physical strength, really. You tap the side of his head gently. âUp here.â
Luffy nods subtly, his tears are stopping slowly as he clings to the comfort of your words, his greatest comfort in the world is protecting people he loves, being there for someone. Heâs still guilt ridden at letting his brother die for him but as long as he keeps living heâs living for Ace, honoring him, being there for him even if heâs gone.
And thatâs what you say next, reading his mind. âWhat matters is that youâre alive. You didnât let what he did for you go to waste, heâd be so proud of that. This is exactly what he wanted, yeah?â Your hands trace circles on Luffyâs back as you feel him relax very slowly.
âIâm so happy youâre still here,â you whisper right in his ear.
âMhmâŠâ Luffyâs lips find yours, hovering, just touching you. âIâm not letting you go, âkay?â His words are so deep and genuine. Thereâs heartache there but an impenetrable love, most of all. His arms are flexed around your body, heâs squeezing you and itâs almost uncomfortable but you have to let him right now.
âIâm not going anywhere.â You manage a smile which makes him smile too.
It seemed impossible for Luffy to get even more loving but he definitely was when you saw him again. Youâre the one whoâs getting it all, all the affection he wanted to give to his brother.
âYou wanna hang out for a while?â You offer because youâre scared to let him sleep again. âItâs ok to stay up. If youâre tired tomorrow Iâll take a nap with you.â
He likes that idea. Maybe youâll get something to eat, even take a walk on the deck if itâs not too cold. He just wants your company. He wants to spend as much time with you as he physically can to make up for everything and to show you how much love he has to give.
âI love you, mh, letâs stay up anâ hang out,â his words are quiet and gravelly from sleep and tears but what matters is heâs smiling now. Heâs back to living in the moment tonight, and youâre his moment.
The next morning heâll be completely back to himself. Heâll kiss you good morning but heâll act like the night never happened, probably, because itâs nicer to be happy and enjoy the day. He has you, he knows everythingâs going to be alright.

The Painting
LUFFY X READER! ANGST + FLUFF! (STILL ACCEPTING REQUESTS! SEND EM RN! đ€đ€)
You were peacefully working on a new painting. You had a strong passion for art, but recently you have decided to pick up painting again. Plus, today is a slow day on the ship, so why not? You hummed to yourself, as you continued to add the finishing touches to your work. âWow, you really outdid yourself this time,â you smiled to yourself as you took a moment to look at your canvas. It was a portrait of the whole crew, you wanted to surprise everyone at dinner with it. You spent the last few weeks on it too, so Iâm sure that theyâve been waiting for the reveal.
You then heard your door open and saw Luffy. âHey Luffy,â you smiled. âHi (Y/N)! Hey can I hide here? Iâm playing hide and seek with Usopp and Chopper,â he explained as he ran over and gave you a quick peck on the cheek. âSure, but please donât tip over my supplies. Last time you made a mess I spent 2 weeks cleaning it up,â you sighed. âI promise!â He said as he quickly jumped into your supply closet.
You continued your artwork, until you were disrupted again. You heard a small knock on the door and soon Chopper opened the door. âHi Chopper, what brings you here?â You asked. âHi (Y/N)! Have you seen Luffy?â He asked. âHmmm⊠I havenât sorry,â you smiled. âHmmm⊠well can I look around your office? Just in case,â he said. âGo ahead,â you said as you continued painting.
Chopper checked under the table, in your art boxes, and was now heading to your closet. You lightly giggled as you knew your boyfriend was about to get caught. Chopper quickly opened the closet door, and out jumped Luffy. He began running around the small office, âHey Luffy, this isnât tag!â Chopper shouted as he chased him. âNow it is!â He yelled, as they circled around you. âLuffy be care-â you were cut off by Luffy running into you. You fell straight into your paint, easel, and most importantly your painting.
The two boys quickly stopped and stared as you slowly picked yourself up and stared at the destroyed painting. Smudged and ripped, even your easel broke. â(Y-Y/N) I-â you ran out before you could hear another word from your stupid boyfriend.
Luffyâs POV
I watched as (Y/N) ran off, I tried to chase after her but Chopper blocked me. âWait! I think she should be alone right now Luffy, she might say something she doesnât mean because of how sheâs feeling. So, just give her some space,â he explained. âBut I have to tell her Iâm sorry, I didnât mean to. I just wanted to play,â I explained. âI know, but we messed up. Really bad, and she needs time to herself right now,â Chopper said. I grabbed my head in frustration.
I looked over to the destroyed painting and realized it was a painting of all of us. âThis is what sheâs been working on for weeks,â I said softly. âOh no, and we ruined it!â Chopper cried. âNo, I ruined it. I always ruin things for her,â I said as I picked up the painting. âThatâs not true, she loves you Luffy,â Chopper said. I shook my head, âShe deals with me, I keep doing dumb things and it always ends with me hurting her or breaking her stuff,â I sighed as I placed the canvas on her table.
âItâs ok Luffy, if she didnât love you she wouldnât be with you. Right?â Chopper asked. âI guess,â I said. âIâm gonna go check on her,â Chopper said before running out of the room. I sat on her stool and stared at the mess I made. âWhy do I keep messing things up? Maybe⊠I should leave her alone, then she wouldnât have to deal with me. She could tell me to leave her alone if we werenât dating, like Nami,â I said to myself.
I dragged myself to the deck and straight to my spot, to try and think. âHey Luffy,â Nami said as she sat on her beach chair. âHeyâŠâ I said softly as I continued to drag myself. âWhatâs wrong? Did (Y/N) kick you out of her art room?â She laughed. âNo,â I moped. âWoah, then whatâs wrong? Here come take a seat,â she said as she pointed to the other beach chair.
I told her the whole story and ended up with 4 bumps on my head. âYou idiot! How could you do that to her?â Nami frowned. âI know⊠Nami⊠has she ever talked about how much I mess up around her?â I asked. â(Y/N)? No, not really. She just tells me how fun and cute you are,â she explained. âReally? Even that time I broke her clay pot?â I asked. âOh man, she was so mad that day, but no⊠Now that I think about it she didnât talk bad about you,â Nami said. âWhat about the time I accidentally squeezed her paint tube too hard and it got all over her face?â I asked. âNope, nothing,â she said. âOr when I dropped-â I was cut off.
âOk I get it, youâve done a lot of bad things. But sheâs never talked bad about you, I think she knows that mistakes happen⊠especially around you,â Nami pointed out. âBut I really messed up this time, what if she wants to break up. She should break up with me⊠I keep making her mad or sad,â I sighed as I fell back into the chair. âOr⊠you could make it up to her. Come on captain, youâve fought warlords and admirals. Iâm sure you can fix this problem and make your girlfriend a little less mad at you,â she said. âYouâre right! I can try and fix it!â I said excitedly. âBut Iâm gonna need help,â I said, determined.
Your POV
Youâve been in bed for the last 6 hours. Chopper and Nami checked up on you, but you had no strength to get up. You just need some time to calm down. Suddenly a knock on your door, you didnât respond, hoping the person on the other side would think youâre asleep. However, the door slowly opened. You saw your idiot captain peek inside, â(Y/N)?â He called out.
âGo away Luffy, I donât feel good right now,â you said as you turned around, showing your back to him. âI just wanted to say Iâm sorry, really sorry⊠I know youâre really mad at me, but I wanted to make it up to you,â he said as he stepped close. âHow?â You asked. âCan I show you?â He asked, placing a hand on your shoulder. You slowly turned around, seeing a distressed look on your usually careless boyfriend. âSure,â you said calmly before getting up.
âBut I need you to wear this,â he said, handing you a blindfold. You stared at it with one eyebrow raised. âPlease?â He asked. You nodded and quickly put it over your eyes, you then felt a warm hand grab yours. âAlright hold on,â you heard, before being picked up in bridal style. âL-Luffy?â You asked, feeling your face heat up. âWell, I donât want you to trip while being blindfolded, so Iâll just carry you,â he explained.
You then laid in his arms as he carried you to wherever it was that he wanted to show you. âAlright, Iâm gonna put you down now,â he said softly before helping you down onto your feet. âAlright now on 3, take off your blindfold,â he said as he stepped away from you. âOk,â you said.
â1,2,3,â he said, and you quickly took off the blindfold. You gasped at the scene in front of you. It was your art room, clean and way more organized than it was before. Also, your easel was fixed with a bunch of more upgrades to it, and finally your eyes fell to the painting on the easel. âMy painting!â You said excitedly. You smiled as you saw the rough strokes and the taped backing. It wasnât perfect, but it was way better than how it looked earlier.
âDid you do all of this?â You turned to ask Luffy. âI had some help, but I wanted to fix what I messed up earlier,â he explained. You ran over and gave him a kiss, âThank you Luffy! Iâm so happy,â you smiled and hugged him. âYouâre not still mad?â He asked nervously. âMad?â You asked, confused. âWell⊠I always mess up your crafts or art projects, I know how upset it makes you,â he said as he stared at the floor. âWell I do get a bit upset, but I know you donât mean it. I just give myself some time alone so I donât say anything that I might regret later,â you explained. âWow, Chopper was right,â he said.
âBut Iâm really sorry I messed up your painting, I know how hard you worked on it,â he said, before pulling you into a hug. âItâs ok, I forgive you. Just next time, no more games in my art room, ok?â You asked. âDeal,â he smiled. âOh, I made you something,â he said, pulling away. âHuh?â You asked. He grabbed a small canvas from the table and turned to show you.
You pouted when you realized it was a portrait of you and him. âI know itâs not that good, but-â you interrupted him. âItâs perfect! Iâll hang it up right now!â You said as you pulled him into a hug. âReally?â He said excitedly. âYeah, and we should paint together sometime, youâre a natural,â you smiled, before giving him a kiss on the cheek. âYou think so? I did have fun doing this,â he grinned. âMhmm!â You nodded and you both went to hang his masterpiece on your wall.

âž» THE PRINCE(SS) & THE PROTECTOR
pairing: zoro x reader
word count: 3.5k
synopsis: Â being in love with zoro is not for the weak, especially when such a love is unrequited. so it is all the more confusing when a certain pirate refuses to let you go when you decide to give your heart a break and leave the crew for good.
note: i really need to stop writing zoro fics with an arranged marriage and bodyguard/protector type premise. with that being said⊠enjoy xoxo
(also yes this is part ONE)
+ + + + + + + + + + + +
Thunderstorms are the perfect weather conditions for silent rumination. You isolate yourself in a corner of the ship, eyes closed as rainwater glides down your face in cool streams. With a smile, you breathe in the scent of salt and earth that mingles with the southern winds.Â
The crew is below deck, sheltered from the downpour and crackling lightning that splits the skies every so often. Theyâre all asleep and have been for a while now. You are the outlier. The strange one that decided to sit between a storm and the sea during the devilâs hours. Funnels of black clouds swirl angrily above you as it continues to pour. Your clothes, hair, everything is drenched. Soaked down to the very bonesâsome particularly weary ones.Â
You relish the feeling of the water against your skin for another moment, reviving yourself from the bleak reflections plaguing your mind. By the time you make it inside, a decision was made.Â
The next morning, faint sunlight filtered by sparse clouds light up the horizon in hues of soft orange and calm yellow. The water is still. Steady. Almost as if it had forgotten its role as a tempestâs plaything mere hours ago. Itâs early. Much too early for most of the crew to be awake, but you can hear a faint tinkering from Usoppâs room and the steady footsteps of another member coming up the stairs to the upper deck.
A familiar silhouette appears in your vision.Â
âMorning, Robin,â you say.Â
The archaeologist comes to stand next to you and nods. âGood morning. Youâre up early.â
âHad a lot on my mind. Doesnât leave much room for sleep,â you point out.Â
âDid you get any?â
âSome.â
She raises a brow, unconvinced.Â
âAbout an hour's worth,â you shrug.Â
An arm sprouts up from the railing youâre leaning on. It holds out a mug of steaming coffee. You take the cup gratefully. The smooth liquid warms you up in the crisp autumn air. Robin takes a sip of her own drink before responding.Â
âWhatâs the verdict?â She asks.Â
âIâve decided to go.â
She sighs. âThatâs it then. I understand thereâs no point in trying to change your mind?â
You shake your head sadly. The past few weeks of turmoil and trepidation cemented that certainty. You canât stay. Not when the fate of a nation falls on your shoulders⊠and certainly not with feelings as forbidden as the ones you harbour.Â
âIs it because of him?â
âNo. No,â you emphasize at Robin's doubtful expression.Â
âDonât lie,â she chides.Â
You grimace. âWell, not entirely because of him.â
Robin scans the calm horizon with watchful eyes, a storm of thoughts whirling into action behind that piercing gaze of hers. The archaeologist has always been the most logical out of the crew, favouring rationality over emotion. It is the trait you admire most about Robin and the reason why you sought her counsel specifically, choosing to confide in herâand only herâabout the decision you faced.Â
âHe deserves to know,â she says softly.Â
You stiffen, the mere thought making your throat tighten up with anxiety. You shake your head, effectively ending the conversation. At the perfect time too, as one by one the rest of the crew pad up the stairs, ready to start the day.Â
Luffy first, bounding up the steps with a large grin. Nami follows, then everyone trickles through the doors. Zoro is last.Â
The swordsman yawns and stretches his arms behind his head, taut muscles glistening under the morning sun. He opens one eye, peeking at you from under sleepy lids. Your heart clenches at the lazy smile he greets you with.Â
This is going to be difficult.Â
âMorninâ,â Zoro mumbles, stifling another yawn behind his fist.Â
The rest of the crew bustles about, running around the deck in preparation for the day ahead. You hear Luffyâs excited laugh somewhere in the background followed by familiar shouts of concern and beratement from Nami, Sanji and Usopp, each taking turns to scold the captainâs latestâand no doubt foolishâidea. Whatever it may be.Â
The noise and chaos fades away the moment Zoro walks up to you, his warmth surrounding you despite the cold morning temperature. It makes it near impossible for you to focus on much else. Anything else.Â
âHey,â you say.Â
He frowns, eyes scanning your face. You resist the urge to touch it, anxious. Was there something on your face? A pimple? An eyelash?Â
âWhat? What is it?â You ask, nerves alight.Â
âDid you stay up late?â
You blink, caught off guard. Did you really look that tired?
âYes,â you answer plainly. Thereâs no point in trying to hide it from him. âI couldnât sleep.â
Zoro arches a brow. âWhy not?â Concern laces the question. You almost crumble, seconds away from confessing the truth youâve been hiding for weeks, when someone barrels into Zoro, knocking him over and effectively ending your conversation.Â
Luffy, unfazed, pops up onto his feet and dusts himself off, his signature toothy smile never having left his face. Despite his right-hand man groaning on the ground next to him, Luffy seems as chipper as ever.Â
âSorry, Zoro!â He apologizes, not sounding very sorry at all.Â
âI⊠hate⊠youâŠâ Zoro grunts, still recovering from having the wind knocked out of him.Â
Luffy only laughs it off and runs back to the rest of the crew, chattering about some new adventure that is bound to be more effort than it is worth.Â
âYou okay?â You press your lips together in an attempt to stifle a laugh.Â
Zoro takes the hand you offer, warm palm wrapping around your own. You can feel rough calluses against your skinâa testament to his training. You pull him up and watch him steady himself. He doesnât let go of your hand. Nervous, you break contact first.Â
He shoots you a puzzled look, but decides against commenting on it.Â
âI will be once I knock him upside the head.â
âLetâs not give the poor boy brain damage.â
Zoro snorts. âYou mean more than he already has?â
You laugh, the sound almost entirely concealed by a burst of raucous shouts coming from the other side of the deck. Curious, you begin walking over to the crew. Zoro follows suit with his hands in his pockets. As the two of you make your way across the shipâs expanse, the sight of Nami and Luffy arguing comes into view. The others stand off to the side, exasperation and amusement colouring their expressions.Â
âItâs too risky!â
âItâll be fine, why are you being so boring?â
âI am trying to keep us from getting killed,â Nami seethes. Her face is set in a tight scowl that twists her features into something alarmingly frightening. You havenât seen her this angry in quite some time.Â
âNot if weâre careful,â Luffy defends. The captain looks bored and irritated at the same time.Â
Namiâs right eye twitches. Â
Oh dear.Â
âAnd since when are you careful?âÂ
âIâm not. But [name] is.â Your captain jerks a thumb in your direction.Â
All heads swivel to look at you.Â
You raise your palms up, placating. âI⊠just got here.â
Nami runs up to you, eyes pleading. The ginger-haired woman grabs your shoulders and gently shakes you.Â
âPlease knock some sense into him!â
You tilt your head and lean to the left in order to peek at Luffy from behind Namiâs frame. The boy scratches the back of his head with a toothy grin.Â
âWould you care to explain, Captain?â You ask bemusedly.Â
Luffyâs eyes dance with mischief. âWeâve got a mission!â
Itâs Zoro that steps in this time. âJust the two of you?â
âWell, yeah,â Luffy answers plainly.Â
You gently pry Namiâs hands off. âWhy?âÂ
âYouâre the only one who knows the layout of the place,â he explains.Â
You frown. âWhat place?â
âAracorn Palace,â Robin interjects. Thereâs a small smile on her face as she watches the situation unfold. Always assessing. Always dissecting.Â
Aracorn⊠such a familiar name. It takes a second before a sliver of memory tickles the edges of your mind. An image forms; one of a mighty castle built from silver and stone erected in the heart of a powerful city.Â
You used to travel there for important delegations and social banquets. Luffy is right. You do know the area well.Â
âWeâre going there? What for?â
âAnd why only the two of you?â Zoro questions.Â
âTo be stealthy,â Luffy grins.Â
âRight. Stealthy. You.â Zoro stares, unconvinced.Â
Luffy ignores his second-in-command. âWeâre going to go rescue someone. Heâs being kept in the dungeons.â
So many questions.Â
âWho is it?â
Robin, again, speaks up. âHis name is not important. He may not even own such a thing. His role as an ex-member of an underground information guild named Kleios is what makes him useful to us. An execution date has been set for tomorrow evening, so if we are to save the man, we must do it soon.â
âWell? What do you say?â Luffy's enthusiasm is palpable.Â
The rest of the crew watches you, assuming that you would wave it off. The danger is obvious, and you areâamong most instancesâlevel headed enough to pull the plug when needed.Â
One last adventure.Â
You surprise them.Â
âIâm in.â
â§ Ë ă· ăă . ă Â
You should have known it wouldnât be easy. In fact, you should have known that the entire plan would fall apart because of course it did. Nothing ever seems to go right for the crew. Right now you curse such rotten luck. Although⊠it isnât even luck, not really. Itâs the captain⊠Zoro⊠Nami⊠Sanji⊠the whole lot of them! No matter how organizedâhow meticulousâa plan was, it never actually fucking went to plan. You suppose youâll miss it. That unmanned chaos. You suppose youâll miss all of it. As for who youâll miss mostâŠ
âZoro!â You stare up at the swordsman in both relief and horror. He dangles from a rope ladder, cascaded off the side of a strange looking vehicleâone with wings and whirring motors that suspend its large metal body in the open air. Usopp sits in the pilot seat manning the impressive contraption. Sweat beads on his forehead from concentration. The others are likely protecting the ship from the nationâs naval cavalry.Â
You increase your pace despite the burning sensation in your lungs. Hot on your heels is a stretch of armed guards mixed with strange looking creatures that look to be a gruesome mismatch of different animalsâboth natural and mythological.Â
Chimeras.Â
Luffy, for once, listened and fled alongside you when shit hit the fanâalbeit with extreme reluctance. The captain was able to deal with the first rush of soldiers and their Chimera, but the monster was vicious and even Luffy struggled. That was a mere one. The royal guard owned five. And all of them, snapping their fanged teeth and snarling in hunger, are quickly closing the distance between themselves and youâtheir prey.Â
The prisoner was long dead. The whole thing was a trap designed to ensnare the Straw Hats, and Luffy and you had walked straight into it. By the time you both realized you had been played, the cavalry had already surrounded you. Thankfully, Luffy was the master of creative escapes. He was not, however, a master of subtle ones. What was originally one guard unit and its accompanying Chimera quickly turned into all of them chasing after you in a vicious frenzy.Â
âDonât engage! Weâll come to you!â You shout towards Zoro, urging him to stay aboard. You can see a sort of panic in his eyes, mottled by excitement. Heâs itching to fight. But doing so would be his biggest mistake yet and likely his last as well if he does not heed your words.Â
The murderous soldiers are practically breathing down your necks, and even with Luffy trying to fend off as many as possible, you will quickly be overwhelmed by the strength of the Chimeras. The monsters growl and roar as their heavy steps thunder behind you, bloodlust practically soaking them through. If Zoro abandoned the ladder and tried to fight them off⊠it would be sheer suicide. You wonât let that happen.
Luffy manages to stretch out and grab hold of Zoro in the near distance. With a yell, he swings himself up and grabs you along the way. You yelp, the sudden movement catching you off guard. You shut your eyes as the wind whips you in the face. With a soft thud you land against a warm mass.
Zoro catches you, arms encircling your waist.Â
âAre you okay?â He murmurs into your ear.Â
You sag into him from relief. âYes. Is LuffyâŠ?â
âHeâs completely fine,â Zoro smirks.Â
Luffy, who is sprawled across the floor, gives you two thumbs up in reassurance. You canât help but laugh.Â
âUsopp! Take us away.â
The pilot gives you a smile and a salute before he presses a button and pulls the wheel up. Slowly, you feel the contraption tilt upwards. Smooth and steady.Â
CRASH!
Out of nowhere, you and the rest of the crew are violently thrown to the left as something punctures the metal wall of the vehicle and jerks the entire thing back. Before you go slamming into the wall, Zoro twists himself around and cushions the blow.Â
âWhat the hell?â Zoroâs grip on you tightens protectively.
A strange red pincer curls into the crumpled sheet thatâjust a moment agoâwas the side hull. It looks to be the same sort of armour that is found upon the back of a crab, except it bears a darker color. Not unlike a deep pool of blood. Its shape is almost identical to that of a scorpion's tail but riddled with sharp ridges that cover its surface. The thing is the size of your headâa grotesque limb extended from one of the Chimeras, no doubt.Â
Zoro and Luffy both immediately jump into action, the former slicing at the pincer while Luffy tries brute force. Neither works. Solid and unbending, the pincer trembles then stills. The next second you are staring into the howling winds and open space. The army roars beneath you, fifty feet below. The ugly beast with the scorpion tail isnât finished. It narrows its beady eyes and with astonishing speed, it whips its tail upwards, spearing the floor.Â
Usopp does his best to recenter, managing to keep everyone upright and away from the gaping hole left by the ripped wall.
âShit,â Zoro hisses. âThe damn thing is too tough. I canât cut through.â
âI canât rip it out!â Luffy frowns, throwing punch after fruitless punch at the immovable pincer.Â
Panic threatens to overwhelm you.
Shit, shit, shit. Shit!
Something glints in the corner of your vision. A solution strikes you and you scramble towards a device on the floor.Â
âThe laser cutter! I canââ but your voice is lost to the bellowing winds as the monster yanks its tail once more, causing the entire machine to shake. You fumble with the device and clumsily clasp it in your trembling hands. Vertigo strikes you as you look down for a split second.Â
The ground is nearing at an alarming rate.
Itâs too close. Tooâ
Zoro jumps.Â
âNO!â You reach out in an attempt to pull him back but you're too late. The fabric of his shirt slips out of your grasp and Zoro goes tumbling downâstraight into the unhinged maw of the monster below.Â
You arenât sure if the screams piercing the air are your own or if they belong to the dying men below. With fluid ease, Zoro manages to sidestep the beast. He dives into the mass, slashing through their ranks. It is beyond impressive.Â
But it is not enough.Â
The Chimeras have zoned in, their attention drawn to Zoro. Snarling and snapping, they circle their prey.Â
Its suicide.Â
âNoâŠâ
Luffy steps forward, ready to leap into the chaos, when familiar shouts sound from below.Â
The rest of the crew are here.Â
You collapse in relief, adrenaline draining from your body.Â
Heâs okay.
â§ Ë ă· ăă . ă Â
âThis is such a stupid fight,â you sigh.Â
âThis isnât a fight,â Zoro frowns, unnerved by the very idea of arguing with you.Â
Sanji pipes up. âIt sounds like a fight.â
Nami pinches him by the ear and drags the chef out of the kitchen, scolding him as he protests and apologizes.Â
âBut Nami! Theyâre in my workspace!â
You and Zoro both ignore him, too preoccupied with the argument at hand.Â
âI saved your life. His too. If anything, you should be thanking me.â
You scoff in disbelief. âIâm not going to thank you for your recklessness.â
âAnd I wonât apologize for it,â Zoro says firmly.Â
âYouâre going to get yourself killed one day! I refuse to stick around and watch it happen.â
He freezes as he catches onto the underlying meaning behind your words. âWhat do you mean by that?â
âIâŠâ you hesitate, unprepared for this conversation. You didnât mean to let news of your departure slip out. This isnât how it was supposed to go. Youâre both too agitated. Too riled up.Â
âWhat do you mean by that?â He echoes. His voice is low and careful, tip toeing on the edge between urgency and trepidation.Â
You want to turn around. Walk away. Lie.Â
But this is Zoro. A man you entrust with your life and, occasionally, your heart as well. Secrets donât belong in your relationshipâas muddled as it isâand they will only consume what trust you have forged through the years.Â
It is time to bear the truth in front of the most terrifying witness.Â
With a rough swallow, you tell him everything. Your plan to leave the crew, to retain your birthright, and to finally settle your countryâs score, once and for all, by bringing peace through union. A marriage between royal heirs. You and a foreign prince.Â
You canât look at him as the secret youâve been harbouring finally spills over your lips like oil. If you look at him, youâll cry.Â
ââŠI leave in two weeks,â you finish. Youâre still staring at the ground, heart racing a mile a minute.Â
Thereâs no answer. Silence stretches on for a while, so quiet a personâs breath could be mistaken for thunder. So cloying, it stains your lungs. Finally, you canât take it anymore. You snap your head up, ready to demand a reply from the swordsman, but the look on Zoroâs face wipes anything you have to say from memory.Â
Shock, anger, disappointment, sadness. Those are all too shallow of description for the depth of what he is feeling. The best he settles on is desperation. An intensely unpleasant anxiety that borders on panic. That is what currently thrums in his veins.Â
Youâre leavingâŠ?
âYou wonât change my mind Zoro.â
He doesnât answer.Â
âNothing will,â you add softly.Â
Especially not him.Â
This is your goalâyour dream. He canât take that away from you no matter how much he resents it. He simply canât. But he can be angry, canât he? He deserves that anger. Needs it to keep him sane. But before he can articulate it, you speak up again, turning the subject back to the argument before.Â
âThe point is youâre too rash.â
Heâs barely listening. âItâs my job.â
âNo,â you reply firmly. âNo itâs not. You put that title on yourselfâplaced that burden on your own shoulders, never asking for a hand. Not even when so many would offer.â
âI donât need help. I protect my friends. Thatâs what I do,â he grits out.Â
âEven at your own expense?â
âYes.â
You scoff in disbelief. âIt's idiotic.â
âItâs my duty.â
âSo you say!â You throw your hands up, exasperated and frustrated. âBut thatâs not all it is, is it? You fear losing that part of yourselfâthe protector, the bodyguard, the shieldâbecause you would lose yourself in the process. Your entire lifeâyour purposeâdoes not revolve around meaningless self-sacrifice and protecting us from a world we choose to exist in!â
He scoffs in sheer disbelief. âAnd you? What exactly is your role? Donât you dare stand there and attempt to psychoanalyze me when youâre just a damn coward!â
You suck in a sharp breath, his words striking deep. âI am not a coward.â
âThen why the hell are you running away?!â
âRunning? Running?!â
He nods, jaw clenched. He avoids looking straight at youâat the hurt in your eyes. âYes. The only thing you know how to do.â
Anger replaces hurt. âYou fucking hypocrite,â you spat out.
He shakes his head. âIâm just calling it like I see it.âÂ
âYou are nothing without your so-called duty,â you hiss. âSo you do not get to judge mine.â
âIs that why you abandoned it in the first place? I wonder where this valiant change of heart came from.â
âYou could never understand.â
He drops his gaze to the floor and takes a heavy step back. Zoro can barely look at you. âYouâre right. I could never understand turning my back on people who needed me.â
Those are the last words he says to you. The next morning, you are gone. All of your things and belongings cleared from your roomâlike you had never existed on the ship in the first place.Â

Straw hats with a member who was formally a celestial dragon's sl@Ve.
A/n: hehehe I always come back... *Insert the afton's bg music* request=?? requested: <yes> <no> wc: 1,140 warning: I only write for fun so grammar could be back. + some ooc?
âYou found it incredibly challenging to open up to others due to your reserved nature. Despite hoping that Jinbe's arrival would provide an opportunity for conversation, your shyness prevented you from engaging with him. Thus, when a celestial dragon attacked the sunny and remembered you, the entire crew was taken aback by the unexpected turn of events.
âLuffy would be SHOOK amid the battle and pause for a bit.
âHe'd turn and look for you, looking for an affirmation.
âWould shout your name a million times until you say something.
âWhen you said yes he'd have mixed feelings (sad and mad generally). Questions would start popping up, leaving him wondering why you hadn't said anything from the beginning.
âAfter he's done with the celestial dragon, he'll drag you and push you to talk.
âAfter your explanation, becoming the pirate king and destroying all the celestial dragons would give him more reasons to do so.
âZoro wouldn't hear about you being a slave. He's either lost or focused on eliminating the marines guarding the boat.
âSo when he returned to the ship and noticed the uncomfortable atmosphere, he would be perplexed and ask what had happened.
âHe's not good with words and comforting so he'll just shrug about it.
âBut he'd still be worried of course. He'd mutter "You can talk to me when you need someone, you know?"
âYou turned around, making sure that he said it. But he'd turn and walk away.
âHe's blushing inside and out so I hope you'll take his words seriously!
âUnlike Zoro, Nami would be mad AFFF.
âShe's not just mad at the celestial dragon but also you! The Straw Hats are a family, and there should be no secrets.
âBig sister mode activated: When you need to open up, she will be there to provide comfort and gently guide you through the process. She will support you by holding your hand and ensuring that you feel safe and supported every step of the way.
âAfter you're done explaining, she'd try to distract you about the past and would do shopping with you and Robin.
âWould def give weird stares to the celestial dragons the crew would meet.
âShe's now your therapist so congratulations!
âPoor Ussop. Boy was already pissing then he found out about your situation.
âHe'd feel sad after the argument. He never realized something major had happened to you before! I mean, you know how to hide itâŠ
âTried to assist you by offering you coffee and gave some words of encouragement.
âFor example: "At least you're with us now..." or "That's alright, it was all in the past now."
âAt one point, he was so worried that he accidentally splashed Zoro's shirt with the coffee he was supposed to give you, causing them to bicker.
âIt earned you a little laugh, and with that, Ussop was already happy.
âSanji, on the other hand, would pause on what the celestial dragon said.
âWhether it was true or not, he directly attacked the celestial dragon.
âNo female should ever go through that pain. Even if he hadn't experienced it, he knows how hard it would've been.
âHe'd shower you with praises and affection. "You did so good holding it all up..." or "You're here with us now. You can always rely on us..."
âHe was also the one who filled Zoro up on what was happening.
âWould look at you from time to time to see how you're doing.
â Chopper would be SHOCKED and worried.
âHe starts thinking about the pain and wounds that youâve gotten. It clicked to him and finally realized why you used to have a lot of scars on your back + arms.
âWhile youâre explaining to the crew your experience, Chopper went to his office and made some anti-anxiety pills âcause he doesnât want you to suffer anymore. (Robin had to kick him out).
âWould look at you endearingly and hold your hand around the ship. He just wants to make sure nothing bad will happen to you!
âOther than that, Chopper would still act normal and do some silly stuff with Luffy and Ussop.
âRobin is Robin. She already had some suspicions about your past, but she wants to hear the truth directly from your mouth.
âWhen she heard what the celestial dragon said she was a bit shocked. Yes, she had thought about it, but another person who suffered from the world government?
âShe wanted to hold you right then and there.
âIf Namiâs sitting on your left then sheâd be on your right. Sheâd pat your back and make you some tea. (Ussopâs coffee did not make itđ)
âAfter the talk, she became your therapist (w/h Nami. 2 heads are better than one they say.
âWill try to keep an ear out for you when you disappear on her POV and in an unknown place. (Yes an EAR)
âFranky was SUPERRRR shocked. Like Robin, he knew you were hiding something either. But he didnât push through. Your business is your business.
âWould be the one bombing the celestial dragonâs ship.
âWhile you were explaining your past, Franky was crying loudly and was playing sad music in the corner. (He had to get moved since his crying ws louder than ur voice)
âAfter the incident, nothing major really changed your dynamic.
âYou both were still goofy and youâd still do the âSUPERRRâ pose with him.
âBut even so, Franky is still glad that your past didnât affect the present negatively; instead, it made you stronger.
âBrook is another person who'll be shocked.
âHe didn't think much about everyone's past. He likes to mind his own business and when someone opens up to him, he'll listen wholeheartedly and give some advice.
âSo when you open up to the whole crew he'll just listen. He'd give some side comments here and there but that's that.
âLike Franky, nothing would change with your dynamic. He might be a little protective but he knows that you could handle yourself.
âThe moral of the story is to find someone like Brook.
âJimbei would be mad mad AF
âHe's Luffy but 10x worse when it comes to the celestial dragon topic.
âHe was never captured as a slave, but as a member of the Fishman species, he understands the immense hardships that must have been inflicted upon them. Being subjected to torture at the hands of one's kind was an even more maddening experience.
âBut even so, Jimbei would be happy that you're finally free and is with the crew.
âAfter your discussion with the group, he would politely excuse himself and usher you into a private conversation. His demeanor would resemble that of an older brother, emanating a deep sense of care and understanding, while also imparting his valuable knowledge.
âSafe to say you have another buddy to talk with.
A/n: I LOVE JIMBEI SO MUCH.

⥠Nightmares
â w/ Luffy, Ace, Sabo â ANGST â Synopsis: he wakes up from a nightmare about you
⥠Luffy Luffy jolted awake, finding himself in a dark room with sweat-soaked blankets. His heart beat was erratic as he looked around, picturing your tear streaked cheeks and scared, pleading eyes. Your cabin. He throws his blankets off and stumbles out of his hammock, paying no mind to the complaints of others and making a beeline for the door. The cold air bites his cheeks and suddenly the sheet of sweat covering his body is like ice, but he hurries on. He pauses when he gets to your door, placing his hand on the knob and bracing himself, not completely convincing himself he'll find your sleeping form when he opens it. Inhaling the icy air in a quick breath, Luffy opens the door and a small rectangle of light falls on the sleeping forms of his crew. His eyes immediately find your body, knee poking out of the covers and hair spread across your pillow like a web. Slowly, Luffy makes his way to your bedside, pulling the covers back slightly and slipping in beside you. You move towards his warmth and he accepts you into his arms and sweeps his hands tenderly over your back, hands slipping beneath your shirt to press the pads of his fingers against your warm skin. He closes his eyes and sighs against the crown of your head, heart slowing and body falling weak with exhaustion.
⥠Ace Ace jolted awake, looking around at the dark room lit only by rays of dim moonlight through the windows. He's in his cabin. Where are you?Whipping his head to the side where you had fallen asleep the night before, he finds a pile of blankets messily pushed off him. Where are you? His heart spikes in his chest and his stomach drops, he thinks he might puke. Where are you?! He shoots to his knees, frantically looking around the dark room in vain, he grabs at the sheets under him in frustration, breath getting caught in his throat as a million idea of what could be happening to you swim through his head. The sheets shuffle, he freezes. He grabs at the pile of blankets and pulls at them, locating your sleeping form which he'd accidentally covered when pushing the sweat-soaked sheets off his body. The moonlight outlined your silhouette and Ace felt like he'd been splashed with cold water, the sweat on his forehead turning icy in the cold room. He sits like this for awhile, watching your chest rise and fall with your breath, watching your eyes twitch. Ace wants to reach out and touch you as if you were a jewel-encrusted display at a museum, but he's afraid if he lays a finger on you you'll shatter and be lost in the sheets. You turn over and throw your hand over to where he'd be sleeping, clutching at empty air, and Ace finally moves. Reaching his hand down ever so slowly, so carefully, he lays his fingertips on your hand like he's trying not to break a surface of water. He runs his fingers up your arm, slowly, pressing more of his hand to your skin, feeling the warmth against his own. Ace slides his feet back under the covers and pulls them up to his waist, he takes you by the waist and pulls you flush against him, inhaling the scent of your hair.
He stares at the wall and listens to the sound of your breath, he swears he can feel your heart beat against his. ⥠Sabo Sabo sits panting among messed sheets, chest heaving up and down as your scream echoes through the corridors in his mind. Sweat beads his skin and he raises a hand to push his hair back. His feet appear out from under the covers and upon feeling the cold floor Sabo hunches and lets his mind fall into place. He searches through the anxiety and anger, fear and confusion, and finds that his body is craving you. Like when you get the gnawing idea you forgot something at home, he has the gnawing idea he'll search for you and find nothing but anguish. He grabs the glass of water on his nightstand, gulping it in seconds as stray streams run down his throat. Setting the glass down and throwing on his jacket and shoes, he hurries out the door. Having a mission, you were supposed to get back at one-thirty and it's almost two-thirty, you should be in your room. Sabo nearly runs down the hall, almost running into someone rounding a corner, and knocks quickly on your door. His heart pounds against his ribcage and he feels like his head is foggy with worries, what will he do if you don't open up? You should be back, why wouldn't you be back? Where are you? What if-- the door opens and you peer up the blond man. His eyes are bloodshot and wide with fear, face flushed and sick-looking. Before you can even comprehend what's happening, Sabo pushes you back through the door and pushes it shut behind, shoving his lips against yours as he guides you further into the small room. You put your hands up on his chest and push him back gently, confused and worried. Asking him what's wrong, he stutters out, "I- I- You were- You-" and you wrap your arms around him, cradling the back of his head with one hand as he hurries his head in your neck. He starts taking deep breaths, clinging to you. After a few moments, you feel his body lose some tension and he lets out a shuddering breath. "I'm sorry, I just got worried you weren't back...", he says sheepishly, panic being replaced by embarrassment. You think it's sweet, but you hate how worked up he was and how scared he looked "Sleep here tonight," you say quietly and he relaxes more against you, raising his head and pressing his lips against your forehead.
