okay so! kingsluck pie. the signature dish of Hush House, the result of one of Thirza Blake's many projects, beef, sea-blest pears, dough, cinnamon.

i have. no idea how i'm going to make this recipe work! but let's brainstorm a bit anyway \o/

the main standout ingredient to me is the pears, which are also the result of Thirza Blake's experiments, this one in horticulture instead of cooking. supposedly she created them using rootstock from caer-ys, which is amazing if she's telling the truth about that because not only did she manage to obtain specimens from caer-y's, but also grafting onto rootstock usually doesn't result in actual hybridization in the first place so some Nectar hour must have looked very kindly on her work to have yielded results.

oh thirza blake you are everything i aspire to be

anyway the in-game text describes the fruit as "Smooth as butter and wonderfully juicy" which brings to mind the D'anjou pear, which is a lot more mundane than the sea-blest kind but does have the above traits and holds it shape and texture nicely when cooked.

after that there's the beef, which is... just beef? i've never tried cooking beef and pear together before but there are a couple recipes i've seen that involve braising them together with some spices and balsamic vinegar, so if that doesn't clash with the cinnamon it should work out fine in a pie too.

will test and report back with results later
