i don't know how people make fried chicken with the 'dip in flour, dip in beaten egg, dip in flour again' method. like it feels like an elaborate prank on everyone that we just keep perpetuating. the egg never fully sticks to the flour and then the flour doesn't fully stick to the egg and now your hands are slimy and you have all this leftover unused egg and flour. and your breading is probably going to fall off in places once it's actually frying
#i havent made fried chicken in this way in Years. tempura batter my best friend tempura batter#im not even making fried chicken but i am trying to come up with soming to do for dinner#words from the monarch#food mention#i Did try making homemade mozzarella sticks in this way though.(breadcrumbs instead of flour but still) it Was a fucking nightmare

National Tempura Day
Batter and deep-fry a wide range of foods, from prawns to vegetables, and pair with Japanese staples like donburi or soba for some delicious dining.
Tempura is a deep-fried dish that the Japanese have made for centuries. When did it originate? Let us find out through the history of National Tempura Day!
Learn about National Tempura Day
On National Tempura Day, we are encouraged to enjoy any sort of dish that has been made with tempura batter. This is a Japanese fare, with most people tucking into delicious Tempura prawns on this date! However, there are many things you can deep-fry in this batter. Seafood and vegetables are the most popular, yet there’s nothing stopping you from having Tempura chicken. We are sure that there are plenty of unique concoctions you can come up with as well. Deep-fried Mars bars are popular, so what about a Tempura version?
Tempura is a traditional Japanese dish. It was introduced in the 16th century by the Portuguese that were living in Nagasaki at the time. They used fritter-cooking to achieve the light batter. The batter typically consists of soft wheat flour, for example, all-purpose flour, pastry flour, or cake flour, which is combined with iced water. Some people prefer to use sparkling water to keep the batter light.
A lot of people will also add spices, oil, starch, baking powder or baking soda, and/or eggs, especially the egg yolk. Traditionally, this batter is mixed in small batches. Chopsticks are used to mix the batter, and it is only mixed minimally, i.e. for a few seconds. Any lumps are left in the mixture, and this – along with the cold temperature – is how the crisp and unique fluffy tempura structure is created when cooking.
Cooked tempura pieces tend to be either salted and eaten as they are or they are presented with a dipping sauce. Tentsuyu sauce is the most common sauce to enjoy with this batter. A lot of people serve it with grated daikon, which is a mild-flavored winter radish, and they eat it straight after it has been fried. You will also find that tempura is typically found in udon soup or bowls of soba in Japan, typically in the form of a fritter, shiso leaf, or shrimp.
It is also not uncommon for tempura to be used in combination with other foods. So, if you want to cook a tempura-inspired meal for National Tempura Day, there are plenty of main dishes for you to consider. As mentioned, you can add tempura to the top of udon soup. It is also typically served as part of a donburi dish, which is where vegetables and tempura shrimp are served over a bowl of steamed rice. You could also make a bowl of tempura soba, which is essentially tempura that is served on top of buckwheat noodles. Or, how about making your very own creation?
History of National Tempura Day
Tempura is made up of either seafood or vegetables that are battered, deep-fried, and enjoyed by millions of people across the nation. Portuguese Jesuit missionaries introduced the recipe for tempura to Japan during the sixteenth century (around 1549). It is believed that Portuguese Jesuit Tokugawa Isyasu, founder and first shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate of Japan, loved tempura. Since the Genroku era (September 1688 – March 1704) tempura was originally a very popular food that was eaten at street vendors called yatai.
Today, chefs all over the world include tempura dishes on their menus using a wide variety of different batters and ingredients including the non-traditional broccoli, zucchini, and asparagus as well as dry fruits. Some meats, usually chicken and cheeses, are known to be served tempura-style in some American restaurants. For sushi lovers, a more recent variation of tempura sushi has the entire piece of sushi dipped in batter and tempura-fried. The word “tempura” comes from the word “tempora”, a Latin word meaning “times”, “time period” used by both Spanish and Portuguese missionaries to refer to the Lenten period or Ember Days.
The idea that the word “tempura” may have been derived from the Portuguese noun tempero, meaning a condiment or seasoning of any kind, or from the verb temperar, meaning “to season” has not been substantiated. The term “tempura” is thought to have gained popularity in southern Japan; it became widely used to refer to any sort of food prepared using hot oil, including some already existing Japanese foods. Today, the word “tempura” is also commonly used to refer to satsuma age, a fried fish cake that is made without batter. In Bangladesh, the blossoms of pumpkins or marrows are often deep-fried with a gram of rice flour spice mix, creating a Bengali style tempura known as kumro ful bhaja.
How to celebrate National Tempura Day
Celebrating National Tempura Day is easy. You gather up the ingredients necessary to create a tempura, be it a homemade recipe or one you found online, and make the dish to serve it with family as a happy dinner meal. You could decide to have tempura prawns or starter or you could opt for a main dish that incorporates tempura, such as the ones we mentioned earlier.
The great thing about this batter is that it is highly versatile and so it can be teamed with a wide range of seafood, vegetables, and meat. This means that you can have a lot of fun experimenting with different ingredients. Why not have a tempura cook-off with your friends? Or, you could host a Japanese-inspired dinner party?
Why not get some of your friends around for afternoon tea Japanese style? In Japan, tea ceremonies have been popular for many years. Combine this with some delicious tempura dishes for everyone to eat, and youve got the perfect lunch-time event. After all, it is always fun to do something a bit different, isn’t it?
The tea that is famous in Japan is pure Matcha green tea. We’re sure you may have even seen Matcha tea or Matcha lattes in your local coffee shop! Matcha comes in many different forms and grades. It is important to be aware of this when purchasing, as you don’t want to end up selecting the wrong product. Generally speaking, you have two key options to select from when buying Matcha – ceremonial Matcha and cooking grade Matchas.
Most people prefer to invest in ceremonial Matcha green tea, and this is because it is of the highest quality and it is suitable for everyday drinking. Of course, you can incorporate it into cooking too, but when creating a Matcha beverage it is even more important to choose high levels of quality. You won’t get better than ceremonial Matcha and this is emphasised by the fact that this Matcha is used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. This type of Matcha should be powdery, very fine, and boast a bright spring green shade.
If it has a slightly yellow colour and feels coarse, you definitely do not have ceremonial grade Matcha on your hands. Ceremonial Matcha is also delicious enough to be enjoyed on its own. You can simply mix it with hot water and consume it as it is; it does not need any sweeteners or additions. Another point worth bearing in mind is that you only need about half a teaspoon of ceremonial grade Matcha when making a cup of tea. You will need more than this when using a lower grade of Matcha. Therefore, while ceremonial Matcha may be more expensive to buy initially, it will last you a lot longer, and thus the costs even themselves out.
No matter whether you are going to host a traditional Japanese tea ceremony with your friends or an evening of fine dining, you will need to decide what tempura dishes you are going to create. The great news is that there are so many different options for you to choose from!
Let’s go through some of the most popular. If you’re looking for a veggie dish, eggplant tempura is a great choice. This is known as Nasu. Or, how about Ebi? This is shrimp tempura, and it is delicious! It is typically used as a topping for udon or soba noodles, yet it can also be enjoyed on its own. Don’t confuse this with Ebi Furai; this is another type of fish, yet it is deep fried with panko batter, which is a lot heavier.
Some other options include tempura shiitake mushrooms, Ika, which is squid tempura, and Hotate, which is tempura scallops. If you are feeling really adventurous, you may want to consider Anago, which is salt-water eel. They have a sweet taste and a soft texture.

PRECIOUS THINGS - Kazuha, Itto, Heizou, Kokomi & reader
i. SUMMARY: What kind of things would they give as a gift? ii. CONTENT WARNINGS: None! iii. NOTES: Can be read as platonic or romantic, fluff, gn!reader, 0.7k words. iv. A/N: it's actually my birthday soon! this was a little early present for myself hehe. i hope you enjoy!
KAZUHA
Kazuha doesn’t care much for material things. He’s a vagrant, there’s no room for too many unnecessary belongings when one is travelling with the wind. Sentimentality only slows him down.
Because of that, he keeps his gifts limited to something intangible. He’ll take you out for the day, show you the most peaceful places of Inazuma and bring you down to the beach to watch the sunset.
As the sun dips low in the sky, he'll let you rest your head against his shoulder or in his lap if you're tired. But make sure you don’t fall asleep too quickly, or you’ll miss the beautiful view.
If Beidou allows it, you might even be treated to a stay on the Alcor, where Kazuha will help you up into the crow’s nest so you can observe the sea from the sky.
Perhaps the most precious thing he gives you is a haiku, written just for you. He’ll recite it while you’re relaxing on the ship, spinning words as elegantly as the waves flowing below you.
“Did you enjoy it? Well, perhaps we’ll have to spend some more time together when the winds lead us to each other again.”
ITTO
Ah, Itto.
Itto is the king of making your birthday a big deal.
The Arataki Gang will make sure to wake you up at the crack of dawn to start the celebrations early. First comes a homemade (and… debatably edible) cake, followed by an off-key singing of Happy Birthday with some beatboxing from Itto to accompany the song.
Then, once Itto has shooed the rest of the gang away to ‘let you have some peace and quiet’ he’ll present you with the gifts he’s picked out.
It’s all things he is interested in—onikabutos, trading cards. There’s nothing Itto loves more than sharing the things he’s fond of with the people he’s fond of, so he worked hard to find the finest of those things. You deserve the best, so that’s exactly what he’ll give you.
“Heh, good birthday, huh? Well of course it is, I couldn’t just leave my favourite honorary gang member without a proper celebration, could I?”
HEIZOU
Heizou! Heizou loves to share his interests with you, one of which being riddles and brainteasers.
On your birthday, he’ll present you with a locked box, covered in various puzzles. Once solved, the inside reveals a riddle that leads to a mysterious location tucked away in one of the chilly corners of Inazuma.
He’ll be waiting for you there, sitting cross-legged on the corner of a picnic blanket. Draped across is an arrangement of foods, a mix of both your favourites. Fried radish balls, Sakura tempura, and Taiyaki are some of his selections, but there is of course a variety of food picked out for you too.
Heizou has a gift as well, something that is exactly what you wanted. You never needed to tell him what it was—as Inazuma’s finest detective, he already figured it out.
“So, partner? Would you say your birthday lived up to your expectations?
KOKOMI
Kokomi wants your present to be perfect. You’re special to her, and special people deserve the best gifts.
Giving gifts is one of her favourite ways to show the people in her life that she loves them, so it must be something personal and related to you specifically; she doesn’t allow for half-thought out presents!
If you’re a fan of books, she’ll gift you a copy of The Legend of The Sword—her favourite book—and shyly ask for your opinion on it.
She will also make time in her schedule to spend time together, which is a gift in itself. She puts her work over everything, so for something else to become a priority is a rare sight.
During the day she’ll take you everywhere: across the scenic beaches of Watatsumi, diving in the depths of the ocean, before finally retreating back to her home to give you a homemade cake. The entire day is planned out (as expected of a grand strategist) and rest assured, she’ll make sure not a moment is wasted.
“So, did you have a good day? I hope so—happy birthday, (Name)!”
reblogs and comments are appreciated! ♡

Chie, Yukiko, and Wagner being surprised by their S/O for their birthday and them also finding out their S/O is a master at cooking and baking? (Honestly they need an s/o who can cook since canonically they all suck at it.)
Fun fact, I almost had this ask finished by but my fucking browser crashed and I lost everything. God fucking dammit.
-Chie's cooking had...improved a bit at least, though that would be rather generous. People weren't in danger of going catatonic from it, but it was just bland.
-She tended to end up using so many flavors at once that they all cancelled each other out and made something completely flavorless, almost like eating water.
-You thankfully were not nearly as helpless, so much so that you ended up being assigned to making the cake for her party that the rest of the IT were throwing for her. Yukiko and Rise were rather disappointed they couldn't do it but the boys all breathed a collective sigh of relief.
-What you end up making isn't good, it's really good. The aforementioned ladies weren't even mad about it anymore once they had a taste of it for themselves. Chie especially was happy about it, and proud to call herself your girlfriend in that moment.
-She definitely knows who she's relinquishing cooking duty to when you eventually get a place together.
-Until that time comes though, expect to get a lot more requests from her to make her lunch most days. It'd be a reason for her to look forward to school now.
-Yukiko was in a similar situation to Chie in regards to her cooking skills, or lack thereof. Thankfully she's pretty aware of it and is trying to improve, as much of a mixed bag as that is sometimes.
-You'd suggested spending a day at the Amagi inn together to celebrate her birthday, let her relax and take advantage of it's services for once and not have to worry about taking care of guests.
-Naturally given your hobby, you end up doing some cooking beforehand, making a nice homemade dinner for both of you to enjoy. Yukiko had known you were a cook but hadn't yet had the chance to try for herself.
-The moment Yukiko puts the fork to her mouth she instantly gushes about how good it is, quite the contrast to her own skills. She very quickly scarfs if down despite her attempts to control herself.
-She then has the spontaneous idea to make a date out baking cookies together using the inn's kitchen with you teaching her how along the way.
-She has some...interesting ideas to say the least. Mostly not in a good way. Odd ideas for ingredients/flavors to use, wrong ideas about how to use kitchen equipment, and everything in between.
-You nearly have a heart attack when she suggests setting the oven to a higher temperature so that they bake faster. You just barely manage to talk her out of it so that she doesn't start a fire, knowing damn well what she would do if left unchecked.
-Wagner had been fully aware for a while now that cooking was not her forte, after several failed attempts. She knew it was for the better not to try again as well.
-Despite her snide attitude, she learned to be grateful for anyone who provides food for her, and an S/O who can cook quality scratch meals is definitely an important box to be checked for her in a relationship.
-Her birthday rolled around and you decided to make something a little extra special for her. Using your experience you used an entire week taking what you learned cooking in general and about what she liked best in a dish to make what you felt would be her new favorite food.
-Wagner was a big fan of tempura in particular so that was your focus. Opening up the box with the food inside, she could feel her stomach rumbling as she looked at it.
-She'd heard many times before that cooking was a labor of love. An activity that one continued to get better at when they cooked for the people they cared about. By that logic how much you loved her was practically palpable in every bite.
-As you go about the rest of the day together celebrating her special day, she still can't get that food off her mind. She's not exactly one to admit things out loud too much of the time, but she does sincerely admit how grateful she is.
-What she can't seem to figure out how to communicate though is that it might just be the best damn thing she's eaten in her life, and that really says something considering the type of lifestyle she was born into. She's absolutely going to request you recreate that recipe more often.

After finishing the chicken run roof this morning, I was seriously craving something greasy for lunch. So I made some tempura with zucchini flowers (a little past their prime, but still pretty delicious) and kale. I accompanied them with tofu with homemade tonkatsu sauce, lightly sautéed green beans, and some kimchi (Costco kimchi 🤣🤣)

sighs in suguru, nanako, and mimiko domestic fluff.........
sighs very long and low with you… this had my brain whirring a little
I don’t have the screenshot but that one clip from the first episode of the hidden inventory arc where the three of them are walking down a hill and nanako and mimiko are wearing shoes that were too big for their feet… crying cos they were probably suguru’s shoes…
suguru takes his girls shopping a few days after rescuing them. sure, the twins looked adorable peddling around in his too-big shirts that he had to crop with scissors for them so that they wouldn’t trip over the fabrics that threaten to drown them, but they needed their own wardrobes. his clothes would no longer do.
he meanders along behind them as they scamper through the mall and all it has to offer, assembling outfits that clash terribly— neon yellow skirts against ashy green shirts with bling on them— and he gets the sizes of their feet measured properly by an employee so that they can wear cute crocs and shoes with velcro straps that don’t fly off of them like his big shoes did whenever the twins wore them.
and even though their outfits are admittedly eyesores, suguru never ever sways their opinions when they turn to him with round eyes and ask what he thinks of each outfit. they’re kids, and so, he lets them express themselves as they wish and find their identities through their clothes.
suguru helps them establish a routine. they brush their teeth every morning and every night ( every time they complain, he gently reminds them that it’s the first step in order to remain healthy and happy), make their beds (they insisted on having bunk beds— and who is he to deny them?), brush their hair, and pick their outfits for the day, etcetera.
when suguru can, he takes them to the park and pushes them on the swings, takes pictures and videos of them slipping down the slides with girlish squeals. they get ice cream after the girls work on a few pages out of the booklets he got them so that they could learn how to properly shape letters and spell out words. they have movie marathons every weekend, and every time without fail, nanako and mimiko pass out on either side of him. suguru gets into the habit of scooping his precious girls up and tucking them into bed with whispers of ‘sweet dreams’ that he murmurs into their hair.
he teaches them how to braid hair and they practice on him first. suguru just chuckles and combs his fingers through the tangled strands and misshapen braids, letting them try again and again until the plaits are near perfect. then they braid each other’s hair, mimiko whining a little because nanako tugs too sharply, and suguru licks his thumb and futilely tries to smooth their rowdy baby hairs down.
he teaches them complimentary colors, the color wheel, and how to blend paints, how to tie their shoelaces in ‘bunny loops’ and play hopscotch and how to ride a bike, how to distinguish different breeds of dogs and how to tell when a cake is ready to be pulled from the oven. mimiko and nanako learn how to bake and cook their favorites, which they discovered after years of trial and error. they had far from developed palates when suguru rescued them, used to plain meals and scraps as if they were stray dogs instead of two itty bitty innocent children in steadily growing bodies. he learns that nanako loves steamed broccoli but hates tempura, that mimiko is allergic to certain spices and her opinion on bacon changes every few months.
and though they love going out and eating crepes from their favorite place as a family, nothing’s better than suguru’s homemade crepes. they whine at him sometimes, cajoling, sugary sweet requests for him to make it ‘because it’s not the same when we make it! yours always taste better than ours!’
and though he knows that they’ve known how to blend ingredients into crepe batter and when to take them out of the skillet since they were 8, taught them himself on a rainy day while barbie and the magic of pegasus droned on in the background, he makes the crepes for them.
#aisha’s answers#u didnt even ask me to do this but mari. this ask possessed me#AND I COULDVE KEPT GOING TOO BUT I WAS LIKE ok this is getting long#i love them smmmm#MY PAPA SUGURU MY MIMINANA#those are his girls yallllll 😭😭😭 im crying blood#aisha’s writing#< that tag… i guess?

I made tempura and burdock root kakiage with my grandma today and I didn't know that burdock root is edible??? As in, it can be made into nice food???
^ apparently the edible part is the skin of the root
I thought only horses eat it cos I feed it to Buckshot (my Red Dead Online horse) sometimes...
Actually, I didn't even know burdock root was a thing. Red Dead Redemption taught me a lot about wild plants...

Everything turned out pretty nice btw! I made some homemade udons with curry sauce too 😀

Humans are social animals.
Humans do not need to hide their natural selves because they are normal to each other. They are ordinary and they do not think too hard about anything because that is a waste of time. They do not like thinking about things like death and sickness.
They want to live forever. They do not think if they will make it to their fifteenth or twentieth or fortieth birthday in one piece. They know they will.
Humans do not ask all the wrong questions.
Unlike Dazai Osamu, who is capable of doing the exact opposite. Thinks about all they shouldn’t. Stays awake late at night thinking and thinking and running his ceaseless, tired mind on every possible scenario for things he cannot change. Dazai, who is capable of putting on a hundred faces and sewing them together so he can forget his own.
Dazai, who in comparison to his partner Chuuya and his coworkers, stands so dimly that a dark room would provide more light. Dazai, who can solve puzzles of any kind given the resources to do so, could not figure out the puzzle that was human nature.
What no one had told him was that humans did not intentionally operate on puzzles.
They see this boy who operates all above them, but no one talks about how far the clouds really are from the ground. How memorizing number strings will not save you from crying at the death of someone who was almost able to hold your heart just right. Remind you that you had one in the first place.
No amount of socializing and putting on personas could save him from the blow of having the ground fall from underneath his feet. Dazai thought often, and bitterly, that “humans are social animals” was a statement worth revising.
Humans are animals when they are social. This is what he thinks with certainty as he progresses through the next stage of his life. A rebirth for the sole purpose of dying again. Humans are scared of things they don’t understand. Dazai disappears into the bathroom at a bar.
He is scared of himself. So he revises again.
Humans are animals. He walks into the rain the weathermen said nothing about. There is an old lady at the bus stop who sees him freezing because he is not human. If he is not human the cold will not kill him. She gives him an umbrella anyway and offers for him to stay for dinner. To give him warm homemade tempura with her family recipe. A bit of green tea on the side. She had two grandchildren but “they’re very polite really.” And they were. Everything Dazai had touched he saw stained with black goop. It was climbing against the walls and floorboards but he left a thank you note while she slept.
Dazai revises his statement.
Humans are. What humans were he was not. Where they excelled he lacked. This was the universal balance. That he would be the amalgamation of everything humans weren’t supposed to be, so they could claim to be made in God’s image. Dazai was the antithesis to humanity.
He exchanges one of his playlists with Atsushi, having a few bands in common. He sees the boy’s face light up in a way Dazai could never be capable of. He hears the boy claim, “Just like me!” And for the smallest fraction of a second he is tempted to claw at all of the masks he had sewn together to show Atsushi the gaping hole where he was supposed to be. To say, “no. I am nothing like you. You are human.” He only smiles and continues looking through the playlist. His hand shakes.
Dazai revises their statement.
Humans. Atsushi could not be described as anything else. Chuuya. Kunikida. Ranpo. Akutagawa. Sigma. All of them. But if his ability was No Longer Human, surely it implied he had to have been human at some point. That he could be again. But it was too late for that. He had tied himself to pulling the strings from the back. Lumped in with the likes of Fyodor. Dazai scratches it out and revises.
Human is a liability.
“Dazai-San, come join us!! That cafe downtown is giving us free bagels and coffee. Wanna come?” Kenji and Atsushi looked at him hopefully. They looked at him as if everything he touched didn’t smear and stain. Dazai smiles in his usual laid back manner and gets up from the couch, following them. ‘Free stuff and no work? Count me in!’
Dazai orders plain coffee, watching the kids and Ranpo ask for plenty of sugar. There is sunlight coming through the window and for once he is in it.
Dazai revises his statement.
“Humans are worth protecting.”
He sets down the pen and pad to the side, resting his head on Chuuya’s pillows. Greeted by the warm embrace of the only thing that would remain constant. Even if he wasn’t entirely human, there are people who believed he was.
And surely that had to count for something.
"Dazai was the antithesis to humanity"
I'm gonna be sick thanks

Hakuoki Yuugiroku 2 - 《Autumn Shinsengumi Sports Day!》——Lunch Break
ugh i hate summer. ive been extremely unmotivated for a while because of the heat... and that's just not something i can help given how badly i do in hot weather.
anyway, this is the third part! also it's of six not five parts! kept missing the "Awards Ceremony?" section which follows 2 events.
Hakuoki Yuugiroku 2 - 《Autumn Shinsengumi Sports Day!》——Lunch Break
Translation by KumoriYami
Exercising is a way to promote relationships between people, who was it that said this sentence——
Yukimura: "Everyone on the white team, please eat more."
Shinpachi: "Oh, thank you, Chizuru-chan!"
The first event was over, and it was now time for an hour's break.
In a corner of headquarters, Chizuru's homemade bento boxes had been set in an area where there wasn't a lot of space, and Nagakura and Heisuke were hurriedly reaching out with their chopsticks.
Heisuke: "Hehe, meals taste better after moving/exercising!"
Shinpachi: "Whether you were exercising or not, you're ashamed to say that you lost."
Heisuke: "Uh… I-It's all that bastard, Kazama's fault for block me…."
Shinpachi: "Your excuse totally sucks, Heisuke." In order to make you properly reflect, this egg shall be dedicated to me!"
Heisuke: "Th-This and that don't have anything to do with each other!"
Souji: "Ah, Chizuru-chan. Leave those two alone, can you get me a cup of tea?"
Seeing how Okita and Nagaura were bullying Heisuke, Chizuru forced a smile as she handed over the hot tea.
Then, she walked over and delivered the bento boxes to the red team, who were sitting beneath a sakura tree/some sakura trees.
Yukimura: "Harada-san, Hijikata-san, and Saito-san, please eat slowly."
Harada: "Oh my, this looks delicious. I won't be holding back."
Hijikata: "However you elegantly won the first competition, Saito. It doesn't matter if we lose to the white team, but losing to that group of oni would be completely unacceptable."
Saito: "Half of that was due to Heisuke and Kazama self-destructing… In short, if Harada wins the next competition, victory for our team will be assured."
Harada: "Alright, leave it to me. Although I don't know what sort of competition it will be, I won't lose."
Harada and the others talked cheerfully laughed while they focused on finishing off the meals in their bento boxes.
Grilled fish, and dry roasted veggies…. While watching the three people eating their food, Chizuru suddenly her head and pointed into the distance and then spoke.
Yukimura: "Speaking of which, um, Hijikata-san. Over there..."
Hijikata" Leave it alone."
Yukimura: "But..."
Hijikata: "Listen to me, and leave it alone."
Kazama?: "Nori grilled fish/Nori wrapped fish... [? literally seaweed boiled or grilled fish. the word here is identical to the one before Chizuru's "Speaking of which..."]"
Shiranui?: "Kamaboko and fried eggs..."
Kazama?: "Fried bean tempura... [or this might be fried beans and tempura.]"
Shiranui?: “…………”
Kazama?: “…………”
Amagiri: "Oh, What's wrong, Kazama, Shiranui? Don't you want to eat?"
Shiranui: "....No, I was just thinking, although our food is more luxurious compared to what the humans have, why do I feel that we've somehow lost..."
There was an absolute difference between what a girl personally cooked and not. Eating from the bento that Amagiri poured his heart's blood into, Shiranui's gaze shifted to their neighbours, where they had been noisy just now.
Kazama: "Unhand me, Amagiri…! My wife's homemade cooking is waiting for me!"
Amagiri: "Give it up, Kazama. I feel that you must learn the skill of retrating retreating sometimes."
Shiranui: "This man is still so annoying…."
Turning his gaze away from Kazama who was being supressed/pressed down, Shiranui leisurely put boiled beans into his mouth by himself.
---To Be Continued…..---
