I was thinking about that post that point out Merlin and Arthur could have children bacause Merlin can change into a woman but (hear me out) I think people are way to focused on the sex part of creating a child when we are talking about magic (yes I understand that they were more likely speaking out of horniness, gender exploration,… and that’s 100% valid and I’m not above it & I like gender exploration story BUT) because like it’s magic

It would be so fucking funny if in a not-together-yet-merthur au, Merlin try to make Arthur pregnant and it’s just Merlin sending ‘death’ glare at Arthur for hours, days, WEEKS on end. There is 0 sexy time, 0 seduction happening and even 0 pregnancy symptoms when it happens.

I think Vulcans should nuzzle their faces together when they like each other but it's like, not something you do in front of other people. That's something to do in private or if you're a little kid. Babies don't really know how to do this properly and are prone to just headbutting their parents/siblings instinctually. They want to 'get closer' to what they feel telepathically emanating from the people around them. This nuzzling is a form of telepathic communication but it's very unskilled (a baby can and will do it) and you only get broad feelings/thoughts from it. But that's alright bc typically the only feeling/thought you're hoping to get from or communicate with such an action is 'I like you'.

Twice-over, Ame has essentially paid Mirara a kindness.

As a child, she gave her an earnest compliment and unprejudiced service (Straight up gave her the kitty mug to boot)

Now as a young woman, she let her off the hook by preventing the vote from coming into pass in the first place (Ame could've been petty or spiteful, but she unveiled the double conspiracy against Mirara as saved basically everyone in the coven)

Even when Grandma Wren argued against her, she never really bullied her with the other witches (they were curt in their meeting, but Wren treated her as an opposed equal)

Now, Mirara has a decision to make, does she stick with the old guard that don't really care about her as either a witch or a person? Or does she take the hand once more of the little girl that told her of all people that her dress and mask were pretty?

I wonder if underneath the skulker facade and overall stress from the situation, she genuinely considered taking Ame for herself when she rapid-fired questions at her with unadulterated wonder and curiosity.

Her crow must also be lonely, it is a very social animal, after all

ive been really obsessed on this reread with the questions that the 51/49 split asks of whether or not you can love a version of someone that you never knew. do you love the child versions of your friends because you love them? people change as they grow, that is undeniable, but is it such a strong transformation that it truly counts as another person? your memories, your personality, your story - exactly what makes up you? how much can you lose? omniscient reader's viewpoint is very clear in the fact that we can never truly understand another human being - they will always have existed outside of you, memories and thoughts and experiences that you cannot be privy to. you only know what you share between you. the only version of your friends that you know is the one from your memories - so is that the only version you are truly capable of loving? can you love someone you never knew? and in typical orv manner the novel more or less answers this by saying it doesn't matter whether you can or not. only that you try.
