What’s going on with women who want me to hold onto their musical Instrument and to keep me stringing along to them?

A friend referred to me as a lady from online dating. She went on a date with her first and thought I would like her. Don’t get me wrong, my date and I had a lot of similar hobbies like tennis and golf. We also had similar interests in instruments, and playing an instrument with someone else was excellent. I played the violin, and she played the cello. But as the week went on, she started acting strange. She told me she had a crush on her life coach. She would use some excuse to see her coach as much as possible. She was being creepy and a stocker. She asked me if I could hold or sell her cello because she needed the money.

I was afraid to sell it if she went weird on me and wanted more than I could sell it for. When she moved to another city, she would call me and ask me to rescue her from being raped or abused by some stranger. Later, she starts threatening that if I don’t give her the cello back, I owe her money. She was getting crazy, and somehow, I needed to stop seeing her, even if it was only friendship. Thank goodness, her job got further and further away from me. But the final draw was that I had to find a way to return the cello. One day, she happened to be in town to move some of her belongings, so I told her to meet me at McDonald’s nearest to her. At first, she said she would not take her cello and would throw it away. I told her to get it from where I dropped it off, or I would let someone take it from her. As I drove away, I saw her quickly pick up the cello and run to her next destination. From that day forth, I never saw or heard from her. 

I then had another date with someone else in a similar situation. We dated for over six months. We got along, but she was super emotional, up and down. Even her son would say something to her. One afternoon, she had a party by her pool for her twin brothers��� birthday. I was exhausted lugging things for her from her apartment to her swimming pool and back. I felt as though I was her slave with all of her demands. Her brothers entered her flat, so I tagged and relaxed in her air-conditioned room. It happened on a hot summer day, and I was tired. She finally stomped inside her apartment, screaming at her brothers for being party poopers for taking off so early, and told them to leave. Then, she told me about not being outside the pool with her. She didn’t want to hear my explanation, so she kicked me out of her apartment. That was the final straw, so I didn’t see her for a long time. She texted me to come to get the ukulele she bought for my son. I was unsure of her mood swings, so I stopped by after my camping trip. I told a friend that wanted me to drive her car to camp if we could stop by my ex’s house. I continued to ask her to take the driver’s seat when we got there in case I got chased out of her house with a ukulele. When I explained, my friend choked on her coffee as she imagined me running towards her car with a ukulele, my son following behind me, and my ex running after us. We couldn’t stop laughing and enjoyed our trip back home. The transition went smoothly, but I am sure my ex wanted me back because of the nice gesture toward my son. So, what’s up with women who give you an instrument to hold you hostage, to lead you on? LOL

Things I've learned from getting covid for the first time in 2023

I wear an N95 in public spaces and I've managed to dodge it for a long time, but I finally got covid for the first time (to my knowledge) in mid-late November 2023. It was a weird experience especially because I feel like it used to be something everyone was talking about and sharing info on, so getting it for the first time now (when people generally seem averse to talking about covid) I found I needed to seek out a lot of info because I wasn't sure what to do. I put so much effort into prevention, I knew less about what to do when you have it. I'm experiencing a rebound right now so I'm currently isolating. So, I'm making a post in the hopes that if you get covid (it's pretty goddamn hard to avoid right now) this info will be helpful for you. It's a couple things I already knew and several things I learned. One part of it is based on my experience in Minnesota but some other states may have similar programs.

The World Health Organization states you should isolate for 10 days from first having symptoms plus 3 days after the end of symptoms.

At the time of my writing this post, in Minnesota, we have a test to treat program where you can call, report the result of your rapid test (no photo necessary) and be prescribed paxlovid over the phone to pick up from your pharmacy or have delivered to you. It is free and you do not need to have insurance. I found it by googling "Minnesota Test to Treat Covid"

Paxlovid decreases the risk of hospitalization and death, but it's also been shown to decrease the risk of Long Covid. Long Covid can occur even from mild or asymptomatic infections.

Covid rebound commonly occurs 2-8 days after apparent recovery. While many people associate Paxlovid with covid rebound, researchers say there is no strong evidence that Paxlovid causes covid rebound, and rebounds occur in infections that were not treated with Paxlovid as well. I knew rebounds could happen but did not know it could take 8 days. I had mine on day 7 and was completely surprised by it.

If you start experiencing new symptoms or test positive again, the CDC states that you should start your isolation period again at day zero. Covid rebound is still contagious. Personally I'd suggest wearing a high quality respirator around folks for an additional 8-9 days after you start to test negative in case of a rebound.

Positive results on a rapid test can be very faint, but even a very faint line is positive result. Make sure to look at your rapid test result under strong lighting. Also, false negatives are not uncommon. If you have symptoms but test negative taking multiple tests and trying different brands if you have them are not bad ideas. My ihealth tests picked up my covid, my binax now tests did not.

EDIT: I'd highly suggest spending time with friends online if you can, I previously had a link to the NAMI warmline directory in this post but I've since been informed that NAMI is very much funded by pharmaceutical companies and lobbies for policies that take autonomy away from disabled folks, so I've taken that off of here! Vassago vs Asmodeus

The most egregious thing about Asmodeus in Mastermind isn't his lack of action. It's how he participates in and upholds corrupt systems of power. When Satan asserts the he is the law, all of the Sins rise from their seats to sing backup for Satan. "He is the law".

You know who doesn't participate? Vassago.

On top of being the only Goetia to question the trial, he was also the only one who didn't harmonize along with Satan when he was asserting his absolute power and authority. Vassago, having no context or prior knowledge, only having the information that was fed to him, could sense that something was wrong and refused to participate in it. Asmodeus, knowing more about the situation than anyone else in the room, knowing the true nature of Stolas' and Blitz' relationship, remained quiet. He only spoke up once, and only after Bee spoke first. He raised his hand in wanting a more complete trial, but he stood behind Satan all the same. He upheld the corruption and abuse of power, knowing fully well that Satan was in the wrong. Refusing to participate in corrupt power structures is already something we've seen in the Hellaverse with Vaggie and Emily. And yes, Vaggie and Emily also faced consequences for refusing to participate. And no, their individual actions weren't enough to change anything either. So what? Vaggie, Emily, and Vassago stood by their morals. They did what was right. They saw corruption and abuse, and spoke out and refused to participate. Even if your actions and words have no sway or power, you're supposed to do what's right, and refuse to participate in what's wrong. It's probably true that even if Asmodeus had spoken out, the outcome wouldn't have changed. And while not speaking out, and hiding the truth he was sitting on is a big issue, that's not the point I'm trying to make here. Asmodeus saw corruption and abuse, and willingly participated in it and upheld it. Asmodeus has proven that he will protect the hierarchy of Hell above what is right, that he will protect and uphold it even when he knows that what it's doing is wrong. And that he will even uphold it over Fizz and to Fizz's detriment. Vassago didn't participate. Emily and Vaggie didn't participate. Asmodeus did.

I won't lie to you and say nobody was ever happy that way. Plenty of women have been, and part of feminism is acknowledging that women have the right to choose that sort of life if they want to.

But flinging yourself into it wholeheartedly with no sort of safety net whatsoever, especially in a period where it's EXTREMELY easy for him to leave you- as it should be; no-fault divorce saves lives -is naive at best and dangerous at worst.

Have your own means of support. Keep your own bank account; we fought hard enough to be allowed them. Gods willing, you never need that safety net, but too many women have suffered because they needed it and it wasn't there.

I wanted to make this post a little earlier on, but completely forgot to put it on Tumblr. In case no one is aware, I was one of her co producers. I helped run the channel for a bit and was hesitant to share my experiences with her. After hearing that she was not treating other people in my position very well, I decided to come forward. For those who choose to follow the rabbithole, please be warned there are mentions of N/S/F/W talk, racism, transphobia, and other things. There's a LOT about this that we uncovered since posting. Lots of people are hurt. This is your warning. Here's the link to the post on Twitter.

It's important to note that this is to spread awareness of her past actions and hold her accountable. Shavs uses Tumblr as a platform to recruit artists, and it's important people know what they're getting into by working with her. Many many others have come forth to corroborate the things talked about in this document that are not in the posted Archive at the beginning. While she is saying that she is making changes and coming forward with a public statement, Tumblr is still a preferred choice of recruitment platform for her. How to make a call script to talk about a bill

Alright, so if you're here you've probably seen those posts about "call your senator/rep/whomever about xyz" but then don't include a script. Here's a formula to making your own. Remember that you will likely to be talking to an aide, not the person themself, so you'll be using third person (he/she) rather than second person (you/your). Once you fill in the script for yourself on whatever your issue is, pass that new script around. Calling your representatives is a numbers game, not a uniqueness game, and a completed script helps with accessibility.

If you want to do this but need help, especially if you're trying to call a politician who usually doesn't align with you, feel free to send me (op) an ask and I'll lend a hand. It's a good skill to have, but it's not always intuitive if you've never done it before!

Option 1: The Basic I've never had this version take more than a minute, and since the bulk of calls are boiled down to a yea/nay without much regard for content outside of that, it does it's job.

Hi. I'm calling today from [place your person represents] as a constituent of [name of your person]. I heard about [bill number], or the [name of bill], and was calling to express my [support/concern] for it, as it would seriously [benefit/harm][name of your person]'s constituents in my community. Because of this, I'm calling on [him/her] to vote [yes/no] when the bill comes to a floor vote. (They'll say that they'll pass it along) Thank you, I appreciate that. Have a good day. *hang up*

Option 2: The Deluxe This one takes a little more effort, but can help your call stand out a bit, which helps indicate that you actually do care. Before you call, look on their website to see if they've supported any initiatives similar to the one you're calling about (even if it's kinda tangential). This works because most people call to complain, so saying "you're doing a good job" is a nice change of pace. They're people too, even if they're detached.

Hi. I'm calling today from [place your person represents] as a constituent of [name of your person]. I heard about [bill number], or the [name of bill], and was calling to express my [support/concern] for it, as it would seriously [benefit/harm][name of your person]'s constituents in my community by [main selling point of your bill/reason to vote it down].
