A brief, uncharacteristic statement on America right now...

So normally, I don't allow politics posted in my spaces, because of the fact that they are just rage bait at this point. I believe that people can coexist with different beliefs and values, but still treat each other with respect. So when it comes to elections and other political things, I just don't spread them because it leads to fighting -- granted, for legitimate reasons. I just don't like seeing it constantly from anyone. I'm an American citizen who doesn't vote, but works 3 jobs to get by. And, I don't talk about my personal life that much here, but I am disabled. So is my husband, so is my boyfriend. My husband is physically disabled, my boyfriend is mentally disabled, and I'm a mix of the two. I am diabetic with early-onset arthritis and multiple terrible genetic shitstorms riddling my body on a constant basis. I have CPTSD, MDD, and I'm supposed to be tested for ASD later this year. I'm not even 30 yet, and I've already been told that I'm not having kids, not able to work full-time, and that I'm essentially going to be struggling to make it through life by the time I hit 35. I'm only stating this to illustrate something. This post isn't about me. What am I illustrating, you may ask? That I'm only 29, struggling with 3 jobs to get by while living under the poverty line, using the right-wing method of "getting a better job/better education" to advance my family's quality of life. And yet, somehow, I'm still in poverty because I'm sick. This is the life of people in poverty, who rely on medicaid and government-funded programs to keep themselves healthy. As is, these programs are severely flawed and terribly mishandled by offering people who need these programs the bare minimum. This isn't about gender-affirming care, this isn't about silly quality-of-life surgeries -- this is about life-saving care that disabled Americans need, no matter their age. I've been denied devices, medications and procedures to help my conditions because I either "don't meet the requirements" (the requirements being on specific medications or having specific medical clearance from doctors who don't even take Medicaid) or because of my providers being stingy.

The point that I'm illustrating is that the US government already thinks that its lower-class shouldn't be able to have families, afford basic food, good healthcare, or good jobs unless they're willing to shill out well over their paygrade or run themselves into the ground. You have to have money to make money, and if you don't, they don't care about you. Anyone who could support the defunding/severe cuts to an already terrible and inconvenient service that is integral to living in any capacity is not supporting America. You're supporting fascism. You're supporting the OPPOSITE of America. We're no longer the land of the free, home of the brave -- we're the land of the rich, home of the cowards. We support each other SELECTIVELY based on what that thing in the White House tells us we should and shouldn't support. We support killing those we oppose, including our own people, who were born here and have the same rights and freedoms that you do -- or at least they should. I am not debating anything with people who support genocide ANYWHERE. Nor am I debating the future of America with people who support a man who is making and passing policies that are aimed at making America more xenophobic, submissive, and cowardly. No matter what you believe -- that Trump will ruin us, or that Trump will save us -- you cannot confidently sit there and say that everything happening this term has been "for the betterment of America" without admitting that you don't want to be what America stands for. But hey, at least you can keep your tips now, right?

Let's talk about Shavs Media Productions

I wanted to make this post a little earlier on, but completely forgot to put it on Tumblr. In case no one is aware, I was one of her co producers. I helped run the channel for a bit and was hesitant to share my experiences with her. After hearing that she was not treating other people in my position very well, I decided to come forward. For those who choose to follow the rabbithole, please be warned there are mentions of N/S/F/W talk, racism, transphobia, and other things. There's a LOT about this that we uncovered since posting. Lots of people are hurt. This is your warning. Here's the link to the post on Twitter.

For those of you who can't see it there, I'll just post the direct link to the document here. The archive of screenshots I have is posted at the beginning.

It's important to note that this is to spread awareness of her past actions and hold her accountable. Shavs uses Tumblr as a platform to recruit artists, and it's important people know what they're getting into by working with her. Many many others have come forth to corroborate the things talked about in this document that are not in the posted Archive at the beginning. While she is saying that she is making changes and coming forward with a public statement, Tumblr is still a preferred choice of recruitment platform for her. Don't witchhunt, spread rumors, or harass people. This is the open door for those who've been affected to come out. Spread this around. Share your own stories. Hold her accountable, please.
